Hey, I arrived almost here. Are you ready? Just grabbing my shoes. That's what you said 10 minutes ago. I just wrapped a video call, uploading this giant file on my tablet, looking at my watch group and Nana's with the group chat, and of course, still lining up tonight's playlist on my phone. All at once? Yep, story of my life. That's why I switched to D-Mobile. They have the fastest 5G network. Okay, multitasker. I see you. Honestly, I never imagined I could do all this at once. It's awesome. Say no more, I'm totally switching. My post is taking way too long to upload. That's a sign you've got to get D-Mobile. So many reasons to join D-Mobile. Find yours at T-Mobile.com. My apartment garage in Los Feliz was clearly designed by someone who never had to open a car door. That's why my Kia Seltos just fits. With room for work bags, yoga mats, groceries, and whatever I accidentally buy at the Rose Bowl flea market. Small SUV. Real cargo room. I've got turbocharged power and all-wheel drive for the days LA decides to be more mountain than city. Kia Seltos is built for the way your life actually moves. Find your way forward at Kia.com. Kia. Movement that inspires. And Marsh hits a squibber. Left to the mound off the hill. Sense of telly's got it. He's out on one pitch. And that is the 100th win of the year for the Milwaukee Brewers. And another one spot on the board for the Feliz offense as the Brewers take two out of three. And the Feliz magic number is still at two after this five to one loss. Now, we're not celebrating.

Now Feliz we're not celebrating. No, no, no, no, no, no, we're not doing that. Welcome on in. It is the midday show. Hugh Douglas, Joe Gileo, yeah, it's a football Friday. We'll get to that. But it is a baseball Friday because the Philadelphia Phillies are blowing this thing, guys. They were watching it happen in real time. They are blowing this. The magic number stays at two. Diamond backs when yesterday, Padre's clenched their spot last night. The Phillies go down meekly to the Brewers. Good morning, Hugh Douglas. We got a lot to discuss, including a baseball team that is on the precipice of an absolute collapse. Good morning, Joe. Good morning, Kyle. Good morning, Philadelphia. Hey, Joe, you know what? I just remember, man, I made you something. What you make me? I made you some on my own. Let me give it to you. Let me feel that. I know, you know, because after yesterday with all the stuff, you know, with the Twitter beef and stuff we had, I made you a bowl. A bowl. So it's a bowl that washes your fruit. It's like a fruit wash. Thank you so much. Give me a fruit bowl. A fruit bowl. There he is, everyone. It washes. I made it with my 3D printer. This actually seems like a lot of work, Hugh. No, it's not, but see what you do. You put your fruit in there. Yep.

And you put the water in that little side and it's spinning around. I can't wait to use this this weekend. I got a weekend now. Hopefully I have a weekend watching Good Baseball. I'm not sure about that. I can wash my fruit. I know that. All right, Hugh. We got a lot to discuss. Kyle's behind the glass. And the Phillies go down like Chumps again last night. Here's where I'm at with they did. That was a chunk of the game last night. Here is where I'm at with the Spaceball team. You know, I'm I am tired of saying I hope they're going to figure it out. I'm tired of saying I'll cross my fingers. They're going to figure it out. I'm calling each and every one of these guys out today. How about you guys step up and win two baseball games this weekend? How about you show some guts this weekend? This team has had five years to get the job done. Five years. And for five years, we have hope that they find that little magic at the end of the season. 2022, they gave us an amazing run. 23, they gave us a great run. And just it went out at the end because they choked 24 crap, 25, not good enough. And the problem with this year, and I think we all feel a Hugh is this is probably their last shot. Let's be honest about their age. Let's be honest about where the sport is going.

Let's be honest about a potential lockout and the salary kept that could come in. This was going to be their last shot. And if they go out before the playoffs even start, then this is their legacy. I hope they all know that their legacy is not dancing on my own. Their legacy is not going to be the 23 run that everyone was loving. This is going to be their legacy. They're going to be remembered as the team that could not get over the hump and a team that choked at the end. They were lifeless last night. There was you could hear it in that ballpark. There is an energy that stinks about this baseball team and they have one weekend. You know, we'll figure out next week if you get there. They have one weekend to show they have some guts. Hugh, this team should have clinched this thing four days ago. And the fact that we are sitting here on this Friday and they need to win two out of three to guarantee themselves a postseason spot. Hugh, it's an absolute joke. Where do you come down as we start a weekend that could define this legacy and their legacy of this, this era of Phillies baseball?

Like I said, a few weeks ago, we were talking about where I'm at with this team. It feels familiar. It's just unfortunate. You got a rise, hurts his knee, ankle or whatever, high ankle sprained last night. And the fact that you let them hang around to the eighth inning and lose that game the way that you did, it just feels familiar. It feels like the wheels are falling off the wagon. And the reality is this, the fans, it feels like they kind of know it too. When you talk about the energy and the ballpark and the energy just going into the postseason. And the fact that, you know, when you wake up this morning, you know, they got three games left and there's a chance that they can still make the playoffs. It just doesn't feel. It doesn't feel like the energy is there, you know, the caretest thing all the way through. It doesn't. And, and this is, this is who they are. I mean, let's just be honest. This is who they are. If they don't get in the playoffs, we're going to remember them for this is what we're going to remember them for giving this thing away. They were five games up on San Diego on Labor Day. Like when, when, when Luzardo threw the shut out against the Braves on Labor Day, the Phillies ended that day.

Five games up on the San Diego Padres. The Padres clinched their spot last night. They jumped over the Phillies, even though the Phillies have a tiebreaker on them. The Cubs clinched yesterday. There's one spot left in this thing and the Phillies are fumbling this down the stretch of the season. 215, 592, 9494. Let's hear from, from the, to me, the two guys that if this thing goes under, I'm going to think about it and talk about the most. Let's hear first from Bryce Harper talking about how, hey, we still got this. We're the driver's seat. We're on the driver's seat. So we, we got to win and take care of our business. We can't really worry about any other teams or what they're doing. So, just going to keep going and obviously Tampa's a great team as well. So, got to go out and play our, play our baseball. Well, they're not in the driver's seat. I mean, that's you, that they, they, they, it feels like they're trying to convince themselves. They're, they're in control of this thing when they, they're losing control by the second. Do you remember, what was it? Batman? The one with Bain in it and the dude was like, he was like, I'm in charge here. Yeah. And on the show that said, do you feel like you're in charge?

Yeah. Doesn't feel like you're in charge, man. It doesn't feel like you're in charge at all. And this kind of crazy that you say that, especially knowing that the timeline is this, you were, everybody was getting ready to celebrate the night before, right? And you didn't get that game. So in order to, I guess, celebrate or keep the party going, you got to get the game the next night. You wait till what the eighth, the ninth inning to lose that game. You're not in control. It doesn't feel like you're in control. It really, really doesn't feel like you're in control. So I don't see how you can sit there and say that with a stray face and think that anybody believes that. Right. I can't. I mean, I, I understand the math. And if the boys win two out of three, they will make the playoffs. Does anyone sit here this morning confident the Phillies are going to beat the race two out of three? I'm not, I'm not confident. All they're going to win two out of three. So they're probably going to need help from San Diego, who's already clenched their spot to beat Arizona, who's playing with their hair on fire right now. I guess the good thing is what San Diego clinched last night, right? They did. They're probably chill. So you got bad for the Phillies, which so wait a minute, they lose a couple games.

What does that mean? So San Diego's in. They play Arizona this weekend. Mm hmm. So if air is okay, I got you if air is on. So I, I, I, I'm with you on your instinct. Tonight's probably a night where San Diego lies down because they won last night. They're probably hungover, right? That means Arizona's going to get a free win tonight. That's not good. You think about it like that. I wouldn't think about the fact that everybody's so closely grouped together. Yeah, that's. Yeah, the fact that San Diego is now has to help the Phillies is not great for the Phillies. 215, 5929, 495. It's also here from Trey Turner, who had another 0 for 4 last night, down to 239 on the season. Let's hear Trey on, does he feel pressure? I think it's more frustration than, you know, pressure. I think, you know, we know how good we can be. And at times we haven't played up to that standard. And, you know, it feels like one thing doesn't go your way. We sometimes we feel like, you know, here it goes again. And I feel like the last two days we hit the ball pretty good as a team. I feel like the bats have been good quality at bats for the most part and just not scoring enough runs.

So I think, you know, frustrated, at least offensively, I think is the case that our pitching staffs done a good enough job to keep us in games. We've got to score more runs. So, but we know we're playing a good team. Obviously they've won 100 games for a reason. And it wasn't going to be, you know, easy playing those guys. But we got to figure out a way to get in. You know what's kind of odd about that? What is that? Trace saying that. And then you have Bryce at all with good. Like it's kind of weird that you have two different views on the season. Trace. Also, I don't want to hear that we play the good baseball team. I mean, Trey, you got to be kidding me. How about beat the not good baseball teams last week, like the Mets and the Nationals when they split with those teams for six games, then you wouldn't need to beat the 100 win brewers. This is their own fault. You know, I mean, they walked in a September Red Hot. They walked in way up on everybody. And they fumbled this thing. What's the last time that Phillies won a series? I think it was the first days of September. They haven't won a series the entire month of September. This is on them.

And as far as trade turners, not feeling pressure, you should. You've sucked the whole year. I mean, this guy has stolen money from the Phillies for an entire season. Feel no pressure. How about you go out there for one weekend and look like a star player, one weekend. I know I'm not getting a full season. I can't even get a month out of you. Give me a weekend. What a joke, no pressure. Kyle, where are you at? As the Phillies and to the final weekend of season with a magic number or two, it feels bigger than that. That's the only one. Yeah. Well, so I was angry yesterday. I think today I'm just like despondent, hopeless. Like, they'll probably get in, you know, the magic number is small. And there's, I think more scenarios than not that they're going to get in. But like at this point, why should I care? I'm not even sure how much they care. Or like either it's a lack of effort thing or a lack of understanding for the situation, like no pressure. Okay. If you're a fan of that building, say less. I'm putting the pressure on you. I'm building the hell out of you. Every time you swing it, I'm freaking first pitch, chopper, double play, all that crap dude. I would make it disgusting in that building this whole weekend until they show me any

sort of signs of life, any sort of signs of life. And you know what? How am I not to expect that now that arises is down that that Bryce Harper and some of these other guys are just going to, you know, throw their hands up and go, well, why doesn't matter anymore? I don't know. And you know what? If they don't care, why the hell should I? As far as the atmosphere in that building, I hope they don't expect a big home field of anis this week. And they have to give people something it's here for. There's a nervous energy right now because I think everyone sees the same thing. This thing is about to collapse like wake up. Wake up and win a baseball game tonight. We'll talk through all the scenarios today, you know, the pitching stuff they have going on this week at Sanchez tonight, bullpen game tomorrow. They might have to use Wheeler on Sunday. What it means for next week if we even get there 215-592-9494. That is how you have, but you're a motion, you're reaction, the fillers this morning as they magic number remains a two to make the postseason. I don't think they're going to get much help this morning from or tonight and this weekend from the podries. The fools are going to have to earn this. And based on the way they play the last few weeks, I don't feel confident they're going to do it on their own.

215-592-9494. All right. You hear what Don Maddenly said last night and Pedro Martinez. He said something recently to the fillers and I think it was perfect. He challenged these guys. It's time for us to do the same. You'll hear what Pedro said. Don Maddenly last night, the latest on the weester rise coming up as well. It is the midday show Sports Radio 94 WIP. We're back. Boy is bad. It is bad, you know what doesn't help? We have MLB Network on the studio and they're just going team to team with the celebrations yesterday. You know, podries in, guardians in, white socks in the white socks, folks, white socks lost like 120 games two years ago or in the playoffs. And the fillers clinging. And I mean clinging to this lee would a couple games to go 215-592-9490. For let's say you hop aboard. All right. Let's go to the phone lines here and then we'll hear from Don Maddenly and something Pedro Martinez said recently that I think is perfect for right now because Pedro put it very

simply on who this is on and who needs to step up here for the fillies over the next couple days in order to save this thing. Let's go to Jeff and Wilmington. What's up Jeff? You know, I hate where I'm at right now. We'll just team. When you guys said, you know, Kyle or one of you guys said something about, you know, if they lose it right now, don't even make it. Like who cares? Because the only way to break this crap up is to just not make it. You've got five pitchers that are good. Three of them really good on the starting staff and you've got two relievers. One is awesome. The other is a rookie and he's doing really well. The rest of the pitching staff stinks. You've got nobody in this hitting lineup that's worth their salt except for bone who's probably been the most consistent hitter all year. And we wanted him out of here at the beginning of the year. Thanks. I mean, you know, before the beginning of the year, Harper's driving the car, dude, you're like Ace Ventura driving a 72-Money Carler with a windshield busted up and you're

driving and looking out and the only other person in the seat is a bunch of animals and monkeys and that they don't care. Like none of them care what you're doing. And you go to the last inning of the game last night and you and the pitcher throws, he gets three outs, two of the outs on one pitch. That's not winning baseball. That's not even close to winning baseball. It's the dumbest baseball team in the league. Base running, hitting approach. What's his name? Has got to be fired. The hitting coach has got to be fired. He's got to go. I don't know what he's got pictures of somebody or what. There's no reason this guy can last this long with the amount of talent that they have on this team with the capability that they have and he's got nothing. Nothing. Yeah, if it's well said. Yeah, I mean, that's fine. I mean, it's one of those days let it out. Let it out on the fillets. Jeff, we appreciate you man. Let it out. It's all fair. I mean, just they deserve to hear this today. They have fumbled this thing so badly and you know what, all week 99% chance, 99.1%

chance, 98% chance. Well, the fillets give you that one percent. Like until it's clinched, it's not clinched. And this week the way they've played and that dates back to last, it's the whole month of September. They have just bumbled around the month of September. And I want to just say this before we go any further because there's a lot of it. If this goes bad, there's a lot of people to blame. All I know is they have a bullpen game tomorrow, tomorrow scheduled. If this thing dies on a bullpen game, Dave to browse, she should submit his resignation papers. This team, everyone with half a brain saw they needed another starting pitch and they needed depth and insurance policy at the trade deadline. But not Dave, Dave, I'm good. I'm content. And they're going to send out who tomorrow or Keiti Cortez, some guy off the street. Like if they lose tomorrow because they can't have a just a representative starting picture when there was 15 of them available to trade that line, Dave should just submit the resignation paper. Don't wait for the extension. Walk out the door. Don't even be here Sunday for the final game. Let's go to Mark. We better not. Mark and we're very high. What's up, Mark?

Joe, Joe, can you hear me? Got you, Mark. What's up, buddy? I don't know where to start, but here's the bottom line. Enough, obviously enough is enough, right? Seriously, the bottom line with this baseball team and it used 100% right to fans. Sort of know what's going to happen. Even if you get in, you're going to be to brave sort of a hydrate. Probably not. You're going to be jumping to first round. No. Even if you get in. And they can't hit the baseball. And they can't hit the baseball because they're stupid and they're on discipline. And we say it every other week. And nothing changes. Nothing changes. This is not right. You got a fatty coach. You got a fatty coach. I don't know what the hell he does.

Then you have an assistant fatty coach. What does he do? Joe, try turn her. Yeah, we're frustrated. No kidding, try. Don't try. We get it. J.T. Rob, me do so. I love the guy. You can't make a Euro for 35. Whatever. I don't know, guys. I'm done. I'm done. I am done. They aren't done. It's just six minutes. It's six minutes. Mark it is. I say the six three every time. I know. And you know, I'm not fit enough. Mark, I'm with you. Enough is enough. Mark, it's a great phone call. They should cut the audio with the music underneath and play it as the players walk into the building tonight. And the fans do. That'll fire everyone up for a playoff atmosphere. Thanks, though. Maybe they need to hear this, you? No, I mean, I'm pretty sure they hear it. They know, I mean, I can't, I just find it amazing that, you know, being in the situation,

you know, you about to have a party and you lose the night after the schedule party. And then you still say, Hey, everything's cool. We're good. Well, I mean, you don't want to panic. I get the fact you don't want to panic. I am. But you don't want to, you don't want to sit there and act like, you know, like, Hey, there's a little sense of urgency. So Maciel with the athletic wrote this morning that the, you know, the plastic they used to cover everything up when they have the champagne celebration. The plastic is still up, hovering over them in the clubhouse, like it's still, it's waiting to be dropped down for their celebration. By the way, if they do get in, whether they get in on their own accord or they back in because the dime backs somehow dropped to this weekend, if they have a big celebration this weekend, it's disgusting. I mean, like they just don't deserve a big celebration. They better not have one of those like crazy parties because they get in. It's just, it does not fit with the way they played baseball. It's here, Don Mattingley on pressure. Does he feel pressured? Should they feel pressured the last couple of days? Here we are. Crunch time, playoff, smile on the line. I think the teams have a trouble with pressure.

I mean, I wouldn't say that. I say we're in a playoff style game today. So runs aren't going to be flying off the board, playing a pretty good club. So a club that, I think that's 100 wins for them. So I think the best record in the national league. So it's not like we were playing somebody that wasn't a club that's a good club. They catch the ball, they put pressure on you in different ways. They got good arms. So they're, they're bullpened good. Yeah, you just, you gotta be able to find a way score. Obviously, to win games. So yeah, I don't know if we're feeling pressure. We should be feeling some pressure. I know I feel some pressure. But I mean, it's that time of year. And you're trying to win games. You know, he, it felt like he was keeping a steady hand. And then at the end, it felt like the reality came out. He said, we should be feeling some pressure. I'm feeling pressure. I'm fine.

But you're not really fine. You're not fine. And that's what it is right now because it's tough. And I know baseball is a long season. But you, it feels like even at every sport, you want to start gaining momentum at the end. Because you, you know, like when we talk about football, it's about the way you start is not the way you want to finish. But it just feels with this team like it's getting worse as we progress. And Lewis arrives in your last night. Not good. That's not a good feeling. And that looked bad. It's not great. Yeah, it is. Well, we'll find out more. Just a day of year round, the bulldog is going to join us 10.45. His observations being around the team down there last night. I don't, we, you know, we haven't heard any news yet on the rise. Maybe we will, we'll throw out the show. Scott Francis will join us at noon today to tell us if he's heard anything or just what he, what he felt after the game last night. The rise didn't look bad. It looked like a high ankle. The pain he was in. I don't anticipate he's going to be out there this weekend. I hope I'm wrong. I hope he's able to play because they could certainly use his bat. And if he doesn't, well, you know, we'll see how they could figure this thing. But they have, they have a lot of, a lot of issues right now.

And I, I just, like my gut right now tells me they're not going to make it. I know with the math is, but the math's been in their favor the whole week. My gut tells me they're going to lose two out of three this weekend. And the dimebacks are going to win two out of three. And that's, well, that dimebacks are going to sweep and we'll win two out, we'll lose two out of three. And that'll be it. That's how I feel this prize going to go this weekend. 215, 592, 94, 94. All right. Let's, let's hear from Pedro Martinez. Pedro, of course, the former Phil for a little bit and a great, great picture. I love him on CBS. He was a great job. He was, this was about a week or two ago, but it really fits for today. Let's hear Pedro on kind of his feeling on the fillies as we get close to October. The fillies. When are they going to finally click? And I think it's their responsibility, but it's not about anything else but the players. And I'm going to call out the players, the players they have experience, they have pitching, they have relievers, they have everything. Now it's up to them. This is a big moment for the Philadelphia Phillies to kind of get your heartbeat checked.

Because that Philadelphia Phillies have been sniffing the wall series so many times with a whole bunch of stars, a whole bunch of numbers and they have everything, experience and all to win it. I will have to check their hearts because they need to make it happen. And that's one of the most dangerous themes if you happen to go into the postseason and we saw it against the Dodgers last year. I mean, they were just unbelievable. They couldn't close the door. I think it's personal about the Philadelphia Phillies to get it done. I think that players individually need to look themselves in the mirror because that could be one of the best themes in the postseason. You know, I thought it was pretty telling. I mean, this is one of the greatest pitchers of all time, right? This isn't some guy and he's talking to these guys and he's talking about how check their heartbeats. I mean, that's, you don't usually hear former, especially high end players. Talk about other players like that and he was trying to be complimentary too.

Like they have the talent to go do it. He was just not getting done. And he's kept saying their heartbeat. Check their hearts, look in the mirror. I mean, that, to me, that's as close as you'll get to a player, right? A former player calling them out like their guts. Like he's saying, check your heartbeat. What I heard there is like, do you really want this? Let's go. Yeah, I mean, that's what it's about at this point because you've been as close man and it has to be frustrating. I think the biggest thing is telling thing and you never want to panic. But to think that everything is okay, not knowing what the future of baseball holds and everything like that. No, you got to, I think you have to have essential urgency in this situation because you don't know what's going to happen with baseball next season, you know, with the potential lockout looming and the fact that you're getting a year older. And for Bryce Harper in particular, when you, when you spotted those numbers, he started out, he had a, he had a, a point in the season where he looked pretty good, you know, and it looked like he was starting to be the Bryce Harper old and any fell back to earth. And, and you know, you're talking about the numbers look eerily similar to last year.

That's the reality that he's going to have to deal with. So yeah, you got to get it done while you still can't get it done. Well, you know, I'm glad Pedro said that. I mean, he's right. I mean, check your heartbeat. It's like, is anything in there? Like I just, hearing them last night, I, I, I divide around them right now. Thanks. Let's go to Keith in Bucks County. What's up, Keith? Hey guys. Hey Keith. All right. First of all, I, I'm not buying San Diego's rolling over. San Diego's 49 and 29 at home. They want to play the Chicago Cubs in San Diego. They do not want to go to Ridley Field. There are one game under 500 on the road. The Cubs have a really good home record. They want to play the Chicago Cubs in San Diego. They come to go cross country and do that. I don't think they're rolling over. And I think it's possible. And I think it's probable that this thing may be over tonight. They're good. Sanchez is their ace.

He has shown the whole season that he doesn't have a heart. And my fear is, as it has been all year, their inability to get the ball into the Rand's hands with the lead. They can't do it. You look at their record and you look at the number of games this year, that bullpen has basically given away the game. They've gone into the seventh and eighth innings with two on leads, three on leads. And by the time they come out of the eighth inning, they're down on. And if that's what happens with this bullpen, you can't, McFarland's been great since season brought up. I don't think you can keep that type of pressure on and look. Although he doesn't seem to carry. Seems to be. And I guess you what you don't know doesn't hurt. Right. So Keith, before you go on, I hear your point on the Padres. And it's a good one. The couple of things though, one, they celebrated last night. They used their entire bullpen. So I think they'd like to play at home.

I don't think they're going to use their top arms tonight because they used them all last night to clinch that playoff spot. So tonight is that hangover game. We've seen that with the Phillies, but they roll out either half hung over and they don't play well. So tonight feels weird. I agree with you probably tomorrow. They're going to try to win their game. But we'll keep, we'll see what the standings look like Sunday. I don't know if they're going to use all their guys Sunday if they have to play a game Tuesday. So I hear you, but I disagree. I think they're going to try to get it done tonight because they're not used. I totally disagree. They're not using their bullpen guys tonight. They used them all last night. Tonight feels like a night where the diamond backs are going to roll. I mean, I hope I'm wrong, but I just feel like tonight they're they're going to be half in this that game tonight after the celebrate. I hope I'm wrong and you're right because that would certainly help the Phillies. I was good like you got a key. Appreciate it. No push back. Well, I mean, I'm trying to hit it. I was in a debate. I'm just trying to get my perspective. But he won't try. I hope he's right. I just, but you know what? You know what's annoying here that we may the Phillies and we may have to hope the pros not even have something to play for.

Yeah, it's not in your control. That's the thing that that bothers me is that, you know, you want to always be in control of your situation. It just doesn't feel like you are at this point. The other thing to note with the Padres. So if you look in the MLB app, the teams obviously have to kind of tell baseball and give the other team some sort of heads up on who the starting picture is, like who the upcoming starting pictures are. The Padres are listing TBD TBD TBD. They don't have a starting picture listed for the next three games. That tells me that they probably chilling. Right. Or they're not going to, yeah, exactly. Yeah, they're not going to push for this weekend. So meanwhile, you know, we know the pitching matchups this weekend here with the, the rays who are now we have the inverse. We have a team that's coming in here tonight. Tampa Bay that should have nothing to play for. They've already clinched home field in the American league, but they have a buy. So they're not going to sit all the, here, Tampa Bay are opponent this weekend. Has a buy next week. So there's no way they're going to sit there guys and give their guys eight consecutive days off, right? Because they're not going to play a playoff game. It's until next Saturday. So you know, unfortunately, you would think, oh, maybe Tampa Bay has nothing to play for.

I don't know. It feels like they're probably going to play all their players. Feels like that you're not in control of what you're trying to do. That's basically what it feels like. That's what we're talking about. And that's never a good place to be especially when you had, you know, you still can make the playoffs, but it's not, you got to wait to see what other people are doing in order to help you make the play. Well, yeah, and how this goes this week and every day impacts next week if the fillers are there, right? So if the last car keys brought up, he could end tonight. You're right. He's right. I mean, it could. The Phillies went tonight and the Diamondbacks lose. The Phillies are in. So this could all be moot tonight at midnight. Sure. It could also not. And if it goes to tomorrow, we have a bullpen game. And if it goes to Sunday, even if it works out well for the Phillies, they've now, if they have to pitch Wheeler on Sunday, means he won't pitch in the wild card series. So like the Phillies are hurting themselves. By the way, they've played in September. This should be clinched already. Clearly. Chris in Middletown is up on WIP. Chris. WIP F bomb Friday, man. Yeah, might be one of those. Might be one of those. Chris, what's up, buddy?

What's up is. Morally, really, really frustrated angry, guys. Listen, this is a complete, complete disaster. Like the great flood of 2025. Like it looks as bad as when he was knocking over senior citizens using walkers as he fled. And all seriousness, so guys, like I am so glad of one thing. Thank God the Eagles don't play to Monday because I don't want this city distracted by the Eagles and their success because I want everybody locked in on this train wreck, this disaster that Dave Dumbroski has done and put in front of us. Like let's reflect on the great Dave Dumbroski, the great GM, his crown jewel, Yip's Turner will go down in history as the worst contract of all time. The worst. And while we're on the subject of a bad contract, let's look at another rock for brains contract

that Dave did. JT's offensively cooked in a stealing money like he did in Jacksonville. And Bryce Harper is showing all of us that Papalban was right for him. And he's never throwing those hands. Now I understand it. And this idiotic comment, this stupid driver C comment, somebody needs to take, Bryce, let me tell you something, somebody needs to take their damn license away because you're driving like Tony Romo on his way to grandma's house. Like one thing Dumbro got right is he's not elite. He's cooked. He needs to shut his stupid mouth and you know what? Dave is bearded punishment. And like this is it's it's dumbed. I'm wrapped up. I'm angry. I want to curse you. My brain wants to say a lot of things and I'm trying to stop it. Don't you know what? No, no, no, no. I got a message to the pot of point fit in the corner.

If it's what you want, the fan base is tired of this slop. You keep serving and trying to tell us that it's flaming on. Wake up money bags. It's time to get off double key and get the blood backs of your brain. This is filled. Move on. Fire dumbled. Fire madly. Fire kill of copham. Fire Kevin laying and fire blue jeans flinkin. He's singing us. He are. I. I. I. I. Bull you. I. Chris appreciate it. Oh, please. He's getting fired. Kevin Lang. Drush. I mean, he has been Kevin Lang this year. I mean, they have the worst justice. He's. He's Kevin Lang. He's Kevin Lang. Thanks. He has to say, all right. So Chris brought us somewhere. I got asked the question now. You're the first one that gets put on the spot with this one. You have two choices. All right. You have door number one. Phillies make the playoffs.

And Dave Dumberowski gets an extension. Door number two. Phillies miss the playoffs. Dave Dumberowski gets fired. Kind of exactly where he's going with this. And not for the reason you might think. I want to make the playoffs. Yeah. Well, he wants to get Dave paid. Yeah. Well, you always try to line up. Always try to line up. People's blackness. And I'm not like I'm not. I'm not. I'm more for the players than I am for the management in this situation. And but here's the reality of it. They've already. They've already signed that check. They already said they were going to do that. No, we can rip that contract up. No. That's not going to happen. I'm just saying. Well, I think the only way Dumberowski is out of here is if this thing actually misses the playoffs. I don't even know if that would mean he's out of here, but that's the only way he's out. I don't think so. I don't think he's here, Joe. I really do. When you make that kind of announcement, that really gross. If they missed the playoffs, why is he back? That guy's taking a $300 million payroll and they have seven good players. What the hell is he doing? I'm just saying. All right. Can you imagine a reaction next week if they missed the playoffs and we get the news?

Dave Dumberowski contract extension. Well, it's not going to be next week. It'll probably be sometime during the course of late into the football season. Well, I will write it and I will lead a charge if to write it to one five five nine two ninety four. Ninety four. Contract extension for Dumberowski after missing the playoffs. You guys have to be kidding me. All right. Coming up with your phone calls, your reaction to the Phillies. What do you feel in this morning as the Phillies? I mean, they're on the precipice of an absolute collapse. The numbers, the math. I guess is still in their favor. I've been here in that for a week. I got a magic numbers thrown at me every day for two weeks here and they're just stuck it too. So I might, my confidence level that they're going to get this done is very low. Where are you on the Phillies right now as they drop another game last night? Diamondbacks win. Padres have already clinched. Coming up, we'll get it to all that end. The Bulldog, Dave, your ram will join us. He's been around the team. What does he say about the vibe of this baseball team as we enter the final weekend in the season midday show sports radio, ninety four WIP. Well, here we need an answer. Some we need answers. We go to the Bulldog Dave, your ram in studio with us as the Phillies season comes down

to the final weekend. Dave, good morning. Good morning, guys. Thank you for having me on. Well, thank you for being here. So Dave, why don't you take us inside what the feeling around that team is right now? You've noticed Dave because it's, it shouldn't be, we shouldn't be here. I mean, let's be real. The month of September, the games they had last week, it gets the bets and nationals. This thing should have been clinched already. And the fact that it's not is troublesome. What's your sense of the vibe around the team as they need to play good baseball this weekend? So the vibe, I think going into the opportunity to clinch at the start of this homestand. I thought was really good inside of the clubhouse. I could feel it pregame. Guys were playing ping pong. I love the energy inside of the main part of the Phillies clubhouse. But last night after that loss, I mean, it's usually quiet after losses, but this was a whole different level of quiet. Last night, this was 23 LCS games, six and seven quiet clubhouse after that loss. And I think it's a wake up call for these guys.

This is totally on them. You're right, 100%. They're way better than this. They're a better team than this. They should have already had it locked up by playing better against the nets and nationals, but they didn't. This is on them. But one thing I think that this team has shown in its tenure of this good era Phillies baseball is that they respond to wake up calls. So that's my expectation for them this weekend is to come out with an edge, respond, and get this thing wrapped up before Sunday. So Zach can rest and pitch game one of the wild cards here. Well, that's really important, Dave. You hit him and there's a lot of layers. I mean, one, they could miss the playoffs, two, they could make it, but three, how will they make it? In packs, how they do when they get there, right? And if they have to avoid using Willar on Sunday, because that takes them out for the wild card series and Dave, the way I see it tonight feels like the night they need to win tomorrow is a bullpen game. We don't know what they're getting in those guys tonight. They should have an advantage. They have Christopher Sanchez in the mound and Freddie Peralta, former met former brewer, he's pitch better with the Tampa Bay, but the Phillies rocked him earlier this year. They had a game here against the message in June where they hit him around.

So tonight feels like I just feel like if they win tonight, regardless of the Diamond Backs win, it will feel like, all right, they've got this, right? It'll be down to one no matter what happens. It could be clinched, but it could be down to one win. And I think they'll still settle in and figure this out. If they lose tonight, I just feel like the vibe around the team and that ballpark would fans in as couple days, it could be really tight in that park. It was already tight in that park the past couple of nights. People were leaving early at the end of these games, you know, I ate ninth inning. I was seeing people leave, right? And the energy in the ballpark wasn't good. A lot of booing, understandably, it wasn't good. So tonight is the, you know, this is going to sound simple. And I've probably said this a lot this season. Tonight's the most important game of the season by far, without much, by far. And you know, there's been, Philly's baseball has been around a long time. Almost, I think this is 144th year Philly's baseball. There's been three good errors, right? Ninety-three was kind of lightning at a bottle. 83 to an extent was still that one era, but it was a lot of different players.

Some got a Schmitty, Gary Maddox, Steve Carlton, right? But the 70s to early 80s, 0721 and this, those other two errors won. This era hasn't won. And if they don't win, that will be a negative look upon them. But if they collapse in this month, that will be a stain to the era. And I look, I don't know. I didn't think that they should have, I was not of the opinion that they should have broken it up going into this season. But if they don't make the playoffs, I don't know how you can argue against not breaking up the core. And they've been, they've been outstanding. A lot of success, a lot of fun, a lot of memories. They filled this place up. They've given the fans something to cheer for. But you, you can't have that be part of your legacy. And Dave, I think your spot on Hugh, this will be their legacy if they blow this. Like obviously we want to win the World Series. And if they get in, that will be the new goal. But if they somehow collapsed, I agree with Dave. Like even though they, this group, most of them got to a World Series the first run, 22.

If this ends the fifth year of this with collapsing in September and missing the playoffs, this is how they're going to be remembered. And then it's not only that it's, it's that even though they've been in the playoffs, it seems like they've been progressively worse ever since they made that World Series run and getting into the playoffs. So just gotten, it seems like it's gotten further and further away from the goal that they attain that first year. So it's one of those things where, again, not knowing what baseball is going to be next year. I hear you, you Ram. You don't know what's, what's going to happen. And if you don't get it done this year, you can't, you can't run this back. About an hour ago, I was on YouTube and I was watching highlight videos from the 23 post season, which is the last post season where they've experienced success. I was just scrolling through YouTube and I found that somebody put together all of it. All the positive highlights at the ballpark starting in the wild card series, all actually all the way through the beginning of game seven when they had a two to one lead. And you look at that place and it's packed to, you can't find an empty seat. The energy in there is unbelievable.

I remember the energy at the start of that wild card series against the Marlins when the Marlins players were getting announced by Dan Baker. And it felt like the fans were just coming at the Marlins. So this is incredible. And and that's the type of energy that needs to get back in the ballpark. I'm not sitting up saying that as a knock on the fans. I'm saying it's on the players to give the fans a reason to feel that way, because you haven't felt that in recent weeks, they've drawn well this year. They had a great accomplishment of more than three million fans for the fourth year in a row. And that's, that's tremendous. But they haven't drawn as well this year. And this weekend so important to be successful because if they get in and then they can bring home games back, then I can feel like that energy will be back. But it's not only a legacy weekend. Can you imagine if they don't get in this weekend and then they have to also live with the fact that it got out that they were going to stay up late? It's an all-timer. I mean, you know what? And going into that day was Wednesday. If you looked in the clubhouse, you already saw the protective draping up on the inner wall of, you know, near the ceiling, rolled up, zip tied, which is standard.

Like I've seen that before. Like last year when they had a chance to clinch on a Sunday, I think, against the royals. It was like that 23 LCS towards the end. It was like that. And obviously it wasn't used because they didn't clinch in that particular instance. But, you know, for, for to get out the day, we're going to stay late. Like I was asking somebody when I got to the clubhouse on Wednesday, what, you know, what, just curious what's the plan? And the, and the message that I got back was, we're not sure at this point. And then about an hour later, Don, Don indicates that they're probably going to stay. Like, like, like Don is the one that put it out there. You know what I mean? Like, I mean, it didn't have to get it. It didn't, didn't have to get out there. But Don, to his credit, was honest and answered the question and it got out there. And, and if they're not, if they're not going to get in, then that's, that's going to be part of the story. It's an all-time, and it's, and it's a shame. It's a shame that's going to be part of the story. It is. It's an all-timer. It's just your point on the 22, 23, that park. You had goosebumps those nights. And then it just, it was, it was the place to be. It was as loud as any building I've ever been in. And since then, it just feels tight.

And, and they have to change that day before we let you go. Any thought on the update and what we think would arise, it looked bad. My guess is he won't play this week and I hope I'm wrong. I hope he bounces back quickly. But that looked painful. And then what they might do with second base the next three days. So last night, Don didn't really have much of an update. Other than X-rays were, were negative. I asked him if there's going to be an MRI today. And he honestly didn't even have an answer to that. I'm not a doctor, but I would assume that they should take an MRI of that. I mean, there could possibly be ligaments torn in that ankle with the way that it torn, that it twisted. So, you know, I obviously, I expect an update at some point, you know, Don's talking this afternoon, but at the latest by that point, some sort of update on the weas. I would be shocked too, based on how, even if he's not like out, out like IEL, out, I would be shocked too if he played this weekend. As far as what they're going to do, man, what do you, what do you, you would have realigned the entire infield again, after you already did it, the trade deadline, I would think so, so, so goes into third base and stock goes to second.

I would consider just playing Hill and right field. He plays defense. He's hit this year. He's been clutch and just leaving things. And then Bryce go back to first base. We'll say, Dave, we appreciate you hopping on with us as always. They're going to get through it this weekend. All right. I hope you're right. I hope you're right. I hope you're right. I hope you're right. I hope you're right. The bulldogs got you, everyone. All right, Dave, we appreciate you hopping on. On the other side, we'll give back to everyone's phone calls and this is safe space. At least I think it is. It should be. I got to admit something I'm feeling about this upcoming game with Eagles on Monday. That's next. It is the midday show Sports Radio 94, WIP. New football season brings a big question. I will get back to everyone's calls in the Phillies here. He was kind of a weird Friday because Fridays were football Fridays, right? But our game is Monday. Now it's an interesting NFL slate. We'll get to some of that later. Yes, the takes. Someone around here is on a winning streak to start week three. We'll hats off to Hugh Douglas later in the show today, called last night. Well, but I'm thinking about Monday night a little bit.

I'm thinking about the Eagles game. I did see the Eagles injury report yesterday, which was pretty lengthy. If we're being honest, a little lengthy with that injury report yesterday. There's a lot of folks. Yes, so yesterday, Tank Bigsby, abdomen did not practice. Dallas got it, obviously, knee did not practice. We'll ship Lee foot did not practice. Devon Te Smith hamstring did not practice. Sequon did practice only back on the team on the field, but limited with a stinger. Do you own a quarter of the limit with the rest? Grenard, we know, still limited. McCuba limited with a knee. So a lot of guys in the injury report yesterday and Hugh, I don't know where you come down. I know I was I was very confident Eagles would win their first two games. Now I wanted them to win by a lot of points. They wanted to look a lot better. But I had no concerns going into either game. They would win the game. Hugh, I got a weird feeling about this game on Monday. If it is case kingdom and as of right now, it looks like it is case kingdom because Bayesian has not practiced yet. Williams has not practiced. We'll see what happens this weekend if Bayesian clears protocol by Monday.

But right now we're going the thought is we're going to play against a third stinger. That usually means in the NFL, if you have a good team and you face a third string quarterback, it's you know, you probably definitely win that game. I got a weird feeling. Where do you come down on the feeling before we get to Monday? I just have a weird feeling about this game in Chicago on the road. We're banged up. I know they don't have their quarterbacks, but that coach is good and that offensive scheme is good. And the last time we played that team, they absolutely bullied our defense. Bullied. I got a weird feeling about this game. I just got an uneasy feeling. I mean, and that's fair because you know, when you look at the way that the game went, they ran the ball down a throat. Yeah. They physically, you know, imposed their will on us. And when you talk about like last night, the biggest aid to Michael Pentix was the running game. Yeah. Bayesian. Bayesian, I brought him some ran for over 200 yards last night. He was a beast. And when you look at the beginning of the season in the NFL, there's a lot of teams.

It feels like there's a research into the running back. It feels like they're starting to get a little bit more love, more so than it is a few years going to kind of start it with say, calm, Barclays. Or you see teams now that are starting to lean heavily more on the run game. So you're kind of concerned about that, especially when you talk about a quarterback back there, who they have a lot of confidence in, but they can run the ball. And that's what they're going to try to do. So yeah, you're right to feel some kind of way, especially coming off the game that we had last week. You know, it's funny yesterday. I don't know if you heard my phone was ringing right. It was worn. But you're in the challenge. Yeah. It was worn sat. Never happened. No, it was worn sat. He was just talking about just winning to a tangent about the D line. He still Colorado. You know what? I didn't get a chance to talk about it. He was talking about something else, but when I asked him, was he in Philly? Was it this moment? I think that he's gone. I mean, there's doing things about it. It's going to move on from. That was worn sat. Yeah. He called it. He just went in on a tangent about the defensive line.

And he was like, he was just talking about different things. And I was like, yeah, I hear you. And he was like, yeah, man, guys are on the ground and they're not playing with technique and all this other stuff. And it was weird because I'm like, why? Like it was unsolicited. It was unsolicited. Great, but why are you calling about this? Yeah, but you worry about that because guys are out of position. And you know, when you talk about the way that Zach Bond plays, you know, Zach Bond is a guy that his success, even though he's a good linebacker, predicated on how good those guys are front playing, keeping clean. As are most inside linebackers. Yeah, man, he got to keep the guys clean, man. And he was calling me and he was talking about that. I was like, thank you for the information. But it was like, he was right. He was right. They weren't playing well. And you kind of worry about that. Yeah, I just have an uneasy feeling about this game. And I shouldn't. Right? Like if we go up against Case Keen and he goes over four and a half point favorites on the road, this should be, should be an easy win. But I don't know. I mean, the other thing is I see the line. Like why is it only four and a half points? We're facing a guy in Case Keen and wasn't played in years.

It's a years. Yeah, I mean, he just doesn't play. I mean, I do know he's in the league. And we're only four and a half point favorites. So I got to show everyone is on this game. And we'll obviously talk a lot about it on Monday when we get there. And hopefully we have a Phillies clinched this weekend. So we're not that melting down on Monday over the Phillies before an Eagles game. I just have an uneasy feeling about this game. It's the three games this year. It's the first time I go in, like, you know, the first two games I was very sure they were going to win the game. I was very sure they beat the commanders. I was very sure they beat the Titans. I don't feel very sure we're going to win this game, even though we should. Two, one, five, five, nine, two, nine, four, nine, four. You can weigh in on the Eagles as we get closer to the game on Monday night. And we'll know more by Monday. I mean, I think by Monday, we'll probably know you have Baygent cleared protocol this weekend. So you probably will. Yeah. So then we'll know if he's going to start or Keen and by the time we get in here Monday. Well, you can kind of tell like, uh, you could, I guess whoever practiced yesterday for the Bears probably is going to be the starting quarter. Well, Keen have started because Baygent's not at a protocol yet. Yeah. So you're probably start. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, they might do it, but you don't want to have one guy getting all the reps and

getting familiar with the passing game and everything and then put the other guy back in. You don't want to do that. So it's probably more than likely he's going to put. I mean, the Eagles are in a big advantage. I know that it's case Keen and he's the third string quarterback. Two, one, five, five, nine, two, nine, four, nine, four. All right. Let's do what it early check in on the Twitter poll today. We'll check in a few times here because I, I don't know if people are going to come down on this one today. I tell you, my confidence level, they're actually going to make the playoffs even though they're in a big, you know, mathematical advantage is not high. Are the Phillies going to make the playoffs? It's a simple yes or no. Here's 55% no. It's 55% no. It's pretty telling. All they have to do is win two out of three or win one and have the Diamondbacks lose one. Like this is still is in their favor math wise, but it's been in their favor math wise for days. And they've just having, having closed the door. Right. I mean, they've allowed Arizona right back into this thing, which is is a darn shame. Terrence in Springfield is up on WIP Terrence. Who Joe Kyle was up, man. Terrence, what's up, buddy?

Here we go again with the ring around the rules, you with it with the foot off your Phillies. And in the back of our minds, we noticed that this is the last hurrah. I don't even if they do make the playoffs, they better leave that damn champagne on ice for years. I wonder if he's nobody's poppin' no bottles. I don't know by a celebrate because what do you really celebrate in struggling to playoffs? Another year disappointment. Another year where you're started, it's teetering. And in the rise going down. I don't want to see these guys look worse. I don't want to see these guys look like they're funeral because a rise went down with an injury because it's like days out of who same thing was out better last year. Better gets hurt going to the playoffs days out who again, a rise is going down with that going to be the ultimately is that going to be the none of the coffin for the Phillies. I don't know, but we got the same guys that locker win. You got swarver, you got hopper, you got turnin' and you got all these guys in there that's watching this ship sink heading into the postseason. And like what you said earlier, it has gotten worse every year.

How do you go to two of those series and then after that, you don't even reach a goal of getting to the NLCS at all. You're losing to mediocre teams. You lost to the Batman backs. We're losing the lesser teams. We're stumbling into the playoffs once again. Is it the manager at this point? Is it the manager? Can we, can we, can we blame that? No, no, no. No, no, no, no. It's a dead, yeah, I can't, I can't blame the man. It's a team. It's the players. Yeah, they paid a billion dollars for this lineup and they can't hit. I mean, that's the problem. And Turner is still in money once again. You might go get a guy and go tell him to put a ski mask on. He kind of bad at every game because this guy is, he's, he's, he's, he's raping a bank right now. He's an arrogant little and we got to, he, he often we write down what a ride is going down. He has to go back to, uh, play second base again, only. We're talking about who the Turner, Turner. Now, I, I think they're going to throw so sit in there just for a couple of days.

I, I don't know how they're going to play it, but I want to see this guy back there again. Oh, I don't, it's going to be the same thing over again. Errors after error after error and we're going to have to see this team going to play all the little miserable again to another season of the playoffs. The solution is making this little miserable. Full miss again. That's what they've done. And they did it to all of it to me. They did it to a lot of people. Terrence would preach the phone call. He brought up a tray Turner there. I, I just, I don't think we've wrapped our mind around how bad of a season he's had. And like when, and when this is all done, wherever this ends you, we're going to like, we're going to unpack what, what went wrong here, why they weren't, what they're supposed to be and all that. The number one player that is underperformed is tray Turner. I mean, this is, I'm not trying to absolve Bryce for slumps or Schwarber for slumps like they have been perfect, but Trey's been horrendous. I mean, just the fact that he still hits two and they gave him, he has the most at bats. Had the movement has the movement from his position. The nut at most at bats and the nationally, like there's different stats you could look at to kind of sum up how bad he's been. I'll just give you this one.

Winds above replacement, right? It's a measure of how many games, how many wins you add to your team compared to, they had an average player there. After last night, as we go to the final three games of the season, tray Turner has a negative winds above replacement. It means that they, the idea of that is they could bring in any average player and that guy would add more wins to the team than this guy. You know, it's for a guy that makes the money he does and has the status on the team he does when on move his position, we don't drop him in the order. He stinks. I mean, he's just, he's stunk all year. Complete step. That was the guy that they were believing in though. That was the guy that, you know, when you talk about, when they say the baseball card looking at it on the back, it baseball card. What happened to this? Yeah, it was not, did not work out that way. This is the one, it's, I'm glad you brought that up because that, every baseball manager says at the beginning of the year, right? Yes, he does. And my return is, well, once in a while, it doesn't work out, right? Sometimes it does. It's the same working. And this is not the back of the baseball card they paid for. 215, 592, 9490 for our coming up.

Your phone calls on everything. Do you have any nurse this, Eagles gave him Monday? I do. I think the Bears are going to be game for this coming off a loss with Ben Johnson. I know it's going to probably be a third string quarterback. I still think this is going to be a, a challenge again. I got uneasy feeling about this game Monday and the Phillies. I mean, where are you at right now? Do you think they're going to make it and let it out? I mean, you could vent with us today as they lose two out of three of the brewers. Last night was an ugly one for the Philadelphia players. We'll go through the scenarios. Had the scenarios this weekend, who the Phillies have pitching? How it's lined up? Who's pitching in the Diamondbacks Pajray series? How this could all play out? And I'm declaring something about tonight's game. I think we, we, we might not know if they're in tonight, but we will know if they're out. That's coming up. It's the midday show on sports radio 94 WIP. Yes you can. You cannot kick it. Confidence level. What do you got for me, Hugh Douglas? Add a 10. Filters will make the playoffs. Scale of one to 10. One, they're going to roll over and die. 10, they're going to clinch and make the playoffs and do this easily the next day or two. That's a lot to digest. One, they roll over and die. 10, they make this easy and do it tonight or tomorrow. They go and make it easy and do it tonight. I'm optimistic Joe. I think they do it tonight. Hold their mind. Why are you optimistic? Why? Get the hell out of here. I get it. I get there so many reasons why not to be optimistic. If it wasn't for this great bowl you got me and made me when you're 3D printer, I didn't matter you. But I'm not mad at you today. I'm mad at the bowl. It's a wonderful bowl. Yes. You know the little swishy thing you put the water on the side. Swishes it around. It's the perfect day. You know why? You know what we do on Saturdays? We have a CSA at the farm. We go pick up our food on Saturdays. You put it over there. You put it over there. I get the veggies in here.

I'm going to make another one. I'm trying to figure out because that looks a little small. I'm not looking at it. That's all right. I'm excited for that. I've watched my vegetables and my fruit this weekend. I will watch the fillies and be miserable. Can't wait. 2.5, 5.9.2, 94.94. Do you think the fillies are going to make the playoffs? My confidence is super low that they're going to do this. My hope is that the, I think if the fillies are going to make this, this is probably the way it happens. They win one out of three and the Diamondbacks lose one out of three. That's their way into the playoffs. I don't think the fillies are going to come out and play great baseball this weekend and win two. I don't. I don't think the Diamondbacks are going to get beat by a Padres team that are ready clinched. Now, maybe they'll take one from them, but I think the likelihood is the Diamondbacks win two out of three. The fillies are going to have to get one baseball game at least to make it in. All right. Before we go back to the full lines here, let's update everyone on how this looks. Just kind of the math on this. The magic number remains two. So it's simple. Any combination of fillies wins, Diamondbacks losses that equals to by the end of the weekend and the fillies would make it anything less than that and they're out.

So if the Diamondbacks sweep the Padres and the fillies lose two out of three to the, to the raise, it's over. The fillies will not be playing in the postseason. So that, that would kind of be how this goes or if the fillies get swept or whatever, obviously they would need two losses by Arizona. So that, there is where we're at. As far as pitching and it's what, when I look at the pitching matchups, you tonight feels like the pivot point night. Tonight feels like the night where we're either going to exhale or we're going to know they're done. It's pain was last night. So tonight is, it's Christopher Sanchez. Okay. Sanchez. So it's Sanchez on the mount tonight against Freddie Peralta, former met former brewer. He's pitched way better with Tampa Bay, Philly's hit him earlier this season, but it's Sanchez tonight tomorrow night. The fillies are scheduled to have a bullpen game and then Sunday it will be Zach Wheeler if the fillies need the game they could throw Wheeler. The whole weekend, the, at least according to the schedule, the rays are going to use their regular starting pitchers because they don't play this coming week. They have the number one seed. They have a buy so they don't need to rest the guys this weekend. They're going to rest them all week anyway. So they're going to throw their arms.

So they're going to throw Freddie Peralta, Griffin Jacks, Nick Martinez. Martinez was in all star this year. They've got three good pitchers going over the next three days. Hugh tonight is the must win. Tonight is the game. Tonight is the one where we either going to feel like when we go to bed, they're going to make the playoffs or they're not. And I'll just say it this simply, this is the game tonight for the season. They have to win this game behind Christopher Sages. It would be nice. No, I think it's more than that. If they lose, I think they're cooked. I don't think they're going to win the bullpen game tomorrow. And then it will come, it would come down to Sunday. And if the diamond backs are in position to sweep, it might not even matter. They need to win this baseball game tonight. I also think if they lost tonight, they're going to start getting tight. Do you trust this team to play loose if they lose another game? No. And the best thing when you talk about, you got two different, you got dueling, you know, sentiment is going to lock room, uh, Bryce, everything's okay. And Tray was like, no, it's not, you know, it's not okay. The other thing to note is what's going on in San Diego. So the diamond backs are going to throw fought burns in Soroka, three of their, their

guys. As the schedule looks right now, San Diego's schedule to throw TBD, TBD, TBD. So clearly, they're not taken it seriously this weekend. They're going to rest some of their guys. You see how what they put on the mound, but Kyle feels like tonight's the night. They have to win behind San Diego. Yeah. I mean, anything else of all, you know, not that it hasn't been a complete disaster already, but anything else is just, I mean, it would be a huge joke. If they get to a situation where they have to pick pitch Zach Wheeler, on Sunday to get in, like, you know, just kiss a goodbye. It's over. Done. Mr. Maybe. You know, I, I guess there's a scenario where they have to pitch Wheeler on Sunday and then we have to watch. I don't know what time. Baseball put all the games at the same time. I think they switched to that last few years. I think all games will be at about three o'clock on Sunday. Yeah. Cause I think a few years ago, they tried to make it where, yeah, every game is at 305 on Sunday. That way, you know, you can't sit around and wait to see what it would have. It's so we might be squirming or watching out and saying the AGO Sunday. They'll get to celebrate immediately after the game then. Well, that's true or not.

I mean, if they, It's great. All right. Let's go to the phone lines here. Tie in e-screenville. It was at the game last night. What's up, tie? How's it going guys? Time. Yeah, just had the game last night and holy cow just what a disappointment. What an embarrassment. You know, what is going on with our bullpen? I know we can't buy a bat right now, which is just a whole different issue. But the anemic bullpen is killing me. Absolutely. We have guys like Jose Alvarez who's supposed to be an ex-juicer and he's can't even get a gun. I mean, I think he's just like a guy out and then we have, I don't even know his name. The guy who threw five balls in a row until he got a mound of his that. I mean, we only get two pitches, a four-seam fastball on a slider. Chase Sugar and a big moment last night. You didn't like that. I didn't like it either. I didn't love it. You know, and of course, you know, Tim Bo, our boy maize, you know, with that goofy smile letting up a home run at the end. Just really take the wind out of the sails. You know, hey, we need better fieldings.

We need better hitting. But for the love of God, we need some pitchers. You know, we got rid of match from. We got rid of, you know, a slug, Ranger 4s. We got rid of these guys that were, you know, everyone has their opinions about them. Good or bad, they blow games, they win games. But these, these no-namers, man, are absolutely killing us. We have another, we said another bullpen game coming up. That's a definite loss. Yeah, I know. That's why tonight. That's why tonight's the most win. I mean, the only way we can guarantee they're going to make the playoffs. The tie we preach to the phone call. The only way the fools can guarantee getting in is to win two out of three, right? Because they can't control the Arizona thing. Yeah. So the only way they can, they can control this is to win two out of three. I have no belief they're going to win a bullpen game tomorrow night. None. Like, have you seen this bullpen? They need to win tonight to give themselves any shot to make the playoffs here. And as far as tonight goes, I know Sanchez was not happy. What was that Sunday? Saturday or Sunday of last weekend when Maddenley took him out. The plan tonight has to be eight innings for Christopher Sanchez.

Sanchez to Durant tonight has to be the plan. I mean, McFarlane through 27 pitches last night. I don't think he's going to be able to go tonight. He'll they can't mess around and take Sanchez out of this game in the fifth or the sixth and ask this bullpen to get set right out. No, you got to have a sense of urgency, especially when you talk about where we're running out of games to play to Clint. So yeah, you want to go out there and you want to get yourself a little breathing room. So yeah, if he's out there pitching well tonight, you leave him out there. Yeah, I mean, the plan to me tonight and I don't know what the combination of outs are is Sanchez hands the ball to Durant. Nobody else should touch the baseball tonight. I don't want to see Tim Maison, Jay Sugar, any of these guys are terrible. No, not you, not you straight to the straight. Leave them home. Don't even don't even put the uniform on tonight. I just want to see the two just two pitchers tonight. David in Maple Glen is going tonight. I'm sure David's fired up. David, what's up, man? Oh, I am so fired up. I am so fired up for tonight at I've been down there 17 times this year. And this has been the most torturous season I've ever had.

Well, that's saying something. I mean, I did. The Phillies have had some tough ones over the years, but David, this has been. So this has been a lot of an annoying season because they stumbled in the beginning. Then they got hot and now they're stumbled at the end. Very frustrating. Just a couple of quick things. So I've been I'm 67. If the Phillies blow at this weekend, this is right up there behind 1964 in terms of Phillies collapses. And it will be a black mark on the brace Harper era. It'll never go away. You're talking about a sense of urgency from the Phillies. When the Phillies are confronted with a fork where you go left for urgency and you go right for, eh, not so sure we'll pack it in. They're always going to right tonight. Fans has will throw a good game. The pitching will not be the problem. Painter threw a good game last night. Nobody's talking about that. This poor kid. He got that was a high pressure situation. He's going out there.

He did great. Did great. But overall, as I was saying, the Kyle for five years now, I go down there. This is the dumbest baseball team I have ever seen. I mean, it doesn't matter what aspect of baseball you're talking about. Whether it's, whether it's watching a guy take two walks and swing into the first pitch. Whether it's the keystone cops on the bases. Whether it's a pinch hitter hitting what he thinks is a two run home or a tie the game. While he watches the ball, it's the, the board. I mean, you could go on endlessly. It's remarkable. Throw eight straight fastballs to Ronald Rackunia. I mean, it just goes on and on and on. The overriding theme is player after player that Dombrausky has brought in. It's just dumb. They won't play fundamental baseball in any way. And it costs them in 23. It costs them in 24. It costs them in 25. And it's killed them down the stretch now. And they will not make the playoffs.

They will flame out somehow some way. I could see this coming two weeks ago when I looked at the schedule. You knew the Padres were going to sweep the Rockies. Excuse me, the diamondbacks. Yes. Yeah. Die now because we're sweet the Rockies. And you knew the Padres were going to give the Dodgers a fight. And the Phillies didn't get it done against the Metz and the Nats. And that's what set this up. Well, David, it did the match. Yeah, you got it, man. And I'm saying joy tonight. I'm going to be great. No, if he's going to enjoy tonight. I think he will. It would be up to Miss Kappy-Pilot. I mean, he just called it and said they're going to, they're going to blow it. You got to be positive. No, you don't. Why? Yeah. They suck right now. No, actually, like why do we have to be positive? Because it makes you feel better. Makes you get it. Why do you say that? It actually makes me feel worse. Well, I mean, hopefully it gets done tonight. Hopefully. Yeah. We can all hope it gets done tonight. And that's why the positivity comes from Kyle. What about reality, Hugh? Reality is probably if they don't get it done, we're just going to have a nice little drinking night.

Well, sure. But that's not going to ease the pain for long. Not just that. Actually, yeah, I can see myself getting angry with more alcohol. All right. I asked you a question last hour. I swing on somebody. Yeah, we'll just relax over there. Dombraski, what would you rather make the playoffs? But that means Dombraski gets into contract extension, missed the playoffs. But it means Dombraski has shown the door. I got another one for you. Who's that? Do they deserve to make the playoffs? It's not quite the same question. It's a tough question. No, no, no, it's not. That's a tough one to answer. Deserve what is not. I think you just don't want to answer it. They don't deserve to make the playoffs. Was it me by deserves? Like, well, they've done the process. They've done the right things to be a playoff team. I think back to April, when I heard the star player on the team say, we were just waiting for those shooters to drop and just played like crap for a week waiting for the manager to get fired. It's like if a kid that's misbehaving, does he deserve to eat dessert tonight? I think about the GM or the team president, who, again, anyone with a half a brain could have said they need another starting picture. Maybe a little insurance here. And it said tomorrow, we're throwing out Jose or Keiti or is it Nester Cortes or is it the

guy down the street right now listening? Who's pitching tomorrow night? Douglass. Douglass. Maybe Douglass is pitching. Meanwhile, Dombraski said, we don't need another pitcher. No big deal. I'm a fellow dad. So they don't deserve to make the playoffs. Well, you should. They don't. Because you're telling us we have to be positive. They might make sure you don't want to answer them. They don't deserve to serve it. So when you, you know, make it go, aw, but we, you know, you did your best. You tried your best. Okay, let's absolutely not. Let me tell you right now. If you, they did, if you, if this goes bad in Monday, you, they did their best. I will stand up. Okay. I won't stand up on you today because you made me a very nice gift. I feel like you're about to stand up. No, no, I have a gift and I'm okay. But Monday, if you, if you, if you, if you, if you, they did their best, us on Monday, I will lose it. Oh, geez. Let's go to Will in the North. What's up, Will? Well, you're doing it. Well, we're trying to get through it, man. Hey, man, listen, first of all, you shouldn't have been popping those champagne before the deed was done, man.

And you know what? And I'm going to be perfectly honest. That's when these two games that poured that champagne out don't even pop nothing yet, man. They're going to pop that champagne out. No, man, don't pop nothing. That's your best. That champagne popping and all that. That's what got them in a situation again right now. They, they count the age before they hatched. Now, now what you need to do is get back down the business and stay on business. Come on, Kyle, let me give them a little resurrection. You should have some resurrection. That's so great. Look, man, when everybody tells us out, we still in business. Listen, we got two games to win. And that's what we want to solidify. We want to control our own destiny. That's what we want. Listen, it ain't wrong until it's all. But what I want to say is why come this far to 30 pounds? So listen, all of these two games hit the ball. I've screwed up for the beginning of the game. The best point of view is, we win.

So now I'm going to start hitting back the small ball. Don't go back to what made us lose every single year. Every single season. We need you to hit the ball. Stay in focus, boy. Stay fully focused. Hit the ball. Play the next game. The next game up. The next game up. The next game up. The next game up. The next game up. We're going to throw it in this room. We're still on our goal. We're still on our goal. We're going to throw it in this room. It's far over, Daddy. We're going to fight. You are going to come back. We're going to start to make it. It gets worse. It's trying to get these two games in. It's better to get two of your eyes. Because we never give up on any of us. I know what that's the face from Ariel. But don't worry. This is the core of destiny. That's more of a team than nobody else. And we are going to pull through. And we are going to win. We are B-A-A-L-O-E-S-B-E-S-B-E-S-B-E-S-B-E-S-B-E-S

Well, we love you, buddy. You know what? It's kind of like the filly. The finish line. Yeah. Listen, I always say when anyone chants anything other than Eagles. It's a recipe for disaster. The Eagles is the only thing that we chant all the time. We'll have to use two. Well, we'll have to history of screw with that. We'll have to replay that. Yeah. I mean, listen, the eb we have people mess up the Eagles' chance all the time. But at least that one is more routine. It's more... When you try to chant fillies, it's not as easy. Yeah, because you got to get the spelling right, man. Yeah. It's a lot of letters. A lot of Ls in the eye and the E in the S at the N. Yeah. So, do we give Will a pass there? Do we... The E-I. It's Friday. No, he's great. But I think we have to replay that again later. Oh, yeah. We don't kill him for it. I'm not bothered by the E-I. Yeah. I still try to do it. I know my limitations. Sometimes you got no limitations. I'm good. Nothing beats the screwed up Eagles' chance now. That gets me every time. All right, let's go back to the phone.

I said Nick and Delaware upon WIP. Nick, with Donc. Hey guys, how are you doing? Good neck, what's up? Uh... Listen. So, I've been listening and I feel like, you know, Dave is getting a brunt of the blame for all the current problems that we're having. having, which I don't feel is totally fair because I feel like this guy's went out of his way to bring us the best talented players available. IE, trade turner, guy's hitting 300. You know, he, this year trying to get boba shit for us, like I feel like this guy's went out of his way, you know, to bring the best available players here and give us the best product that he could. Now, I'm 100% on board with the player shortcomings. Like these guys are being paid very well to contribute and they're not doing it. At no fault of, you know, Dave, them brown. I told it. So, Dick, I understand your point, but I couldn't disagree

more. So if it's that, if that's his job, Nick, then you can do it. Then I can do it. Anyone could, anyone could say trade turner has been good. I'm going to pay him $300 million. Dave, Dave, Dave, Nebraska gets paid millions of dollars to predict the future. That's his job that. So when he gave trade turner $300 million, he predicted he would stay as a high level player for at least the first half of this contract, you know, if not more. And he's been dead wrong. So I understand your point that he brought in players that were good at one point. Well, it's not his fault. They're not good anymore. But I contend it is his fault. That's the only reason he's here is to predict the future of players. Otherwise, like, let me be the GM. It's not that hard to say trade turner has been an all-star. I'll just give him $300 million. You know what I mean? Like, it's Dave's job to predict these players futures. I mean, I can agree with that part of it. I'm just saying that, you know, these guys are proving commodities. Trade turners are proving commodity. Rice Harper is a proven commodity. Like, you know what I mean? I mean, he's putting his

money on these guys that are supposed to produce. I totally get it. And I'm not trying to absolve them from blame. Like Nick, to your point, and we preach the follow, trade deserves blame for sucking here. I get it. But here, there is a reason why if you put all your money into players that are over the age of 30, they start to decline. Like at one point, Hugh Douglas was a great football player, right? As a straight. It's not a stray. And then you got over the age of 30 and your body started to break down. It's not a stray. I mean, it's just, I'm just using the example because you're here with me. Right? Like the Jaguars made a mistake on you. No, they didn't. Yeah, they didn't. They did. They paid me a lot of money. Yeah. Well, that's okay. I'm happy for you. But that was the problem. They gave me some bread. Does she do anything for? No, you know what? That was their fault because they didn't allow me to get help. Maybe I used the wrong example. I just can't take Dave off the hook because trade turn was good with the national six years ago. He paid him a lot of money because he thought he would continue to be a player. You're right. You're right. And you some players decline quickly.

Yeah. You know, and it just feels like that's what trade is. I agree. But I'm forced with that's a lot of 30 year old baseball players, 33, 34, 35. You know what? It's to your point. It's very rarely do you find the guys that that age where when they they have success early because after they hit 30, it's it's all down. Yeah. It's the way you take care of your body and all the extra stuff that you do. You know, it can happen quick. But the tradeoff is, you know, you got the guy here and you hope that you get the best out of him. Why is here? The the the the in versus happened to look, I don't think Debrowski has done everything terrible here. Like Bryce and Schwarber have aged pretty well. Yeah. I mean, like I was thinking about Schwarber when you said that. So Dave age pretty well. So some of some of the and so is Wheeler. Some of these Debrowski moves actually that worked. I mean, he but I guess you if you keep betting on a whole team of older players, you might hit some like Wheeler and Schwarber and Harper, but you might have some Castellanos and you might have some turners and you might have some Taiwan walkers.

It's just it's a dangerous game to play with all these old players. Yeah, because you want to mix in. You try to mix in as many young players as you can had a veterans to help usher the young the younger guys. Yes. That that that veteran status. Well, it's interesting you bring that up. So I was watching the highlights of this morning of the pod. The Padres clinch last night, right? And they they've spent a lot of money on a lot of big names, right? Like Mani Machado and those guys, but Ethan Salas is their catcher. He just he became one of the youngest catchers to ever start in a major league game. Like they've incorporated him and he's getting big hits for them last night. Unfortunately for the Phillies Crawford hasn't had that kind of impact. Now, Painwright of Good Night last night. He's pitched well the last couple of months, but like eight and Miller were supposed to be that guy, right? That young everyday player to give a jolt to this team in September. And unfortunately, in most of his year, he's, you know, he's been hurt. Now he just got back and play a few games here. 215, 592, 94, 94. We'll get to all your phone calls coming up. Fransky Friday at noon today. We will give a hat tip to Hugh Douglas. That's off to Hugh Douglas for the dog of the week pick last time. We'll get to that coming up and all our Friday stuff on

a football Friday, but really it's a fr it's a Phillies Friday. As we try to unpack, if we have any hope left and you're emotion for this team on the midday show sports radio 94 WIP. Welcome back midday show. Hugh Douglas shows you'll coming up at noon. A Fransky Friday on the show. We'll also get to Woodzacker. It said yesterday, speaking for the first time, other than John Clark, get him at the airport. First time in the locker room again. As a full of people, has first practice back here. John Clark. I didn't say that you did. Also, you always have to John Clark. Yes. You always are because you're going to invite to his wedding. Be honest. That didn't. Yeah, I didn't get invited. You wouldn't. What? Definitely wouldn't. Does he still owe Bryce Harper an apology? If they missed the playoffs, Bryce Harper, I was talking about what I'll put a hold on. I mean, we're talking about when he shaved his head and he said it didn't work. Yeah, I know. It did work. I guess it's been a while. It was this season of last season. It's been so long. Also, we'll get to Lebron James. Lebron James was speaking about why he chose the sixers. Now, he's going to have his first press conference with the sixers. I assume right. Media day on Monday. So we'll see you from then. We'll hear a little

bit later in the show. Also, guess the takes later on right back to your phone calls right now, though, mostly Phillies today, though, I did admit, and this is a safe space that I have some nerves for this Eagles game on Monday. Marple Mac. I think he's well, he's not nervous about something. I'm not sure if it's the Eagles or the Phillies. Marple Mac, how are you, buddy? Hey, thank you so much for taking my call. Sure. Like your show. Listen, I told Kyle that as far as the Phillies that got that caller that fellow 67 year older, which I am as well. Yes. I think he held it as far as the Phillies a steady downward. From they're just playing stupid. So I'm not very encouraged. On to the Eagles. I'm not nervous about this game at all. I think they do well. I think they win by 10. I just do. They, you know, they've gotten they've gotten a lot of early jitters out of the way. I think they win. And then I also told Kyle something. I don't know if he conveyed it to you about a challenge to the Eagles. A fundraising event after the seasons over. He did not tell me about it now. Okay. Well, what it is, you know, you get older, you break down,

but that's not the case with me. And one thing, swimming, since I've got older, I've been better. I'm talking nonstop 5,000 meters. Wow. Flip turns off the wall. Yeah. Now I want to do, now I want to do 5,500. So when the season is over for the Eagles, if they want to do a relay to challenge me, outlast me in the pool, if they win, then then they get an all expense paid, guaranteed catch, guided fly fishing trip equipment provided. If I win, then they support a charity for youth of my choice. I think this is a great idea. You know, I have a better idea and a suggestion. What do you make it 5,300 and you race you? Oh, now we could sell tickets to that more. Yep. You are you in for sure, unless you're afraid to get dusted by 67 or more back. And you would get dusted. No, for charity here. No, for charity. It's for kids and I mean, I love kids. No, no, but you don't like more. This is what it is. We've been losing a lot of youth in high school and it's very sad.

In 2005, students from Penn Crest, Huffing, wrapped their car around a tree. A couple years at that, students, students, remember they don't want me to sell the tracks down there in Norwood. Well, it's very very sad. Just a couple years ago, a student from Marple Newtown went into the woods and all of them self blew his brains out. All right, Marple Mac, we really taking this in a direction. We're not trying to go, Marple Mac. I understand it's a lot, but it's not we're not trying to appreciate the idea of helping people and certainly those that are in need for and so Marple Mac's charity idea is good. And I like Kyle's idea for huge erase and pool. Yeah, I love the detail. The detail was a little strong there. Yeah, too much, man. And I mean, yeah, I mean, it's yeah, too much. I understand his, his, he wants help people. I'm just saying to help people. Definitely understand your, your, your calls and your, and your, your, your mission, but man, it's too much. And if we have less detail next time, maybe I can convince you to get in the pool. And how about instead of you calling us, why don't you call the Eagles your damn self? We're not the conduit. I got to imagine the Eagles in you. Well, but you, I think it's a

little easier to dial our numbers and just get the. Okay, well, how about Kyle answers? How is not going to answer? But how about you call the PR department? I'm waiting in hell. How you're getting the power? We are not the conduit. We are not your go to, we are not the go between. That's not our job. I think he's decided we are. No, but I'm here to tell you that that's not our job. Well, this is why he sent you a package to bring to Nick's series. And he never got there. And you haven't brought it to him yet. Never got there. Well, that's a shame because he's been waiting. Andy and Westchester is up on WIP. I need levity. I go to Andy and Westchester. What's up, Andy? There's nothing else. You should deliver that message directly to the Eagles. I mean, I don't care, right? That's what I've been saying. Thanks a lot for being a rabble rousing. I'd appreciate that. That's who Andy is. Appreciate that. I appreciate that. So I'm at the point of saying to Kyle, he kind of said it first thing. I just don't even care anymore. I only blame myself for getting wrapped up in it and thinking, wow, they have turned a corner. And it's just at this point, I almost want him to go down and flames. I will never root

again some, but I'm just going to sit back and laugh and watch because the only thing I can see happening. Yeah, there's looked, Andy, there's a lot of most to say. One that I have is I feel like a fool because I thought in August, they were different. I mean, I did it. They were playing different. They were, you know, they had a different approach to the plate. And I was like, all right, so this feels different. And I feel completely foolish today because it wasn't different. Right. And it's the same as when they got better last year. Verizon came in, or I'm sorry, on Reeves came in and injected some life into the team. They all were playing better and then just fell off. It's just the same thing over and over and over again. And it's tiring, exhausting, really. And, you know, if one way or another, whether they do make the playoffs or not, I don't see them going anywhere. All the people all summer long, we're calling in and saying they're not going anywhere. They think they think they think. I'm yelling at them. Like, you guys are idiots and, you know what? I'm the idiot. It sounds like. Yeah, I mean, if we, yeah, well, listen, I feel similar. I mean, the people that have

doubted them all year feel, they have to feel vindicated right now. And it's frustrating in baseball because we give them so much of our time. You know, whether it's active time on the, you know, watching it or just passively listening or kind of like, it's a lot of games, right? But this thing here, we started, we went to spring training like the first week of March. Like, this baseball is a long season. And it hurts when it ends, right? Because you gave so much time, and it feels like they're going to go out sad. And that's annoying. Yeah, I don't, I don't feel good about this team anymore. I don't want to see something different. But the Eagles, I, I'm not really too concerned about this, not, not concerned, but I feel like they always play to the level of their opponent. So as they play better teams, I think they'll play better. And it's a bad thing when they play crappy teams, obviously, because they don't do what we want them to do. But yeah, I think that they're going to be okay Monday. Well, I hope you're right. And look, they should win the game. But I, this is the first one of the three this year. I'm like, this has weird vibes to it. A lot of injuries for the Eagles. And you know, I, I don't know. I mean, we'll see how the Eagles come out. And I always think when you play a backup or

a second or now this could be a third string quarterback, it's almost like you hope the team is still like a great, you know, you don't want to overlook the guy because he's not a star. If they were playing Caleb Williams, Vic Fangio and the D defense, you have to be locked in. Yeah. This is case, Keenan. I mean, you wonder like, are they going to because if they don't, if they're not locked in, they still have other players that can make plays around the quarterback. Yeah. And they're going to put him in position. Like I said, they ran the ball well last year. So they're going to put him in position and try to keep him manageable down. Yep. And then I can't anticipate them throwing the football the whole lot. But then with Ben Johnson, you just never know. Maybe he's going into this thinking like he's not going to scale it off and down for the quarterback. He's, he's expecting him to go out there and do his job. Well, even though they had Caleb last year and in the threat of Caleb's arm changes, your defense, but they didn't throw it much here last year, right? That game when the, when the Bears came here and that black Friday, they ran it. It was a windy day. I, we can look up the numbers. I don't, I don't think Caleb had more than 200 yards passing. If that, it was a, it was a running game. So I anticipate a lot of that on Monday against the Eagles. They got to stop at this time. 215, 592, 9494, not for a coming up. We'll get to

everyone's phone calls. Scott Fransky will join us on a fransky Friday. You know, you, you always ask Scott to make us feel better when we're down about the Phillies. Come on. I asked him again today. Do we think he could do it? I wonder what Scott's emotions are. We head into the final weekend of regular season. Scott, next your phone calls. We'll get to what Zach Hertz said as well yesterday. His first practice back with Eagles. It is the midday show on sports radio, 94 WIP. Hey, all right. It's almost here. Are you ready? Just grabbing my shoes. That's what you said 10 minutes ago. I just wrapped a video call uploading this giant file on my tablet, looking at my watch group and Nana's with the group chat, and of course, still lining up tonight's playlist on my phone. Scott francekey sponsored by Morgan and Morgan America's largest injury law firm is the final weekend of the regular season is upon us. And we hope there will be baseball next week for the toy Scott. How are you? God. I am okay. How are you? Not good. We're not good. Scott make us feel better because Joe asked me to ask you like every time we get on here and things go like they're going to help make me feel better. So Scott, I'm asking you once again, help me make, help make me feel better about this game tonight and this weekend.

Well, I think we're going to play them all. That's a huge Douglas answer. If I asked him, he would say we're going to play baseball. Yeah, it's obviously, you know, you, but we can go at this time. They had a five game lead on the Diamondbacks and you know, it's, you know, you go into the, you leave yourself into the final week where you're playing the best team in baseball and the Diamondbacks playing the worst team in baseball. What do you think's going to happen? I mean, again, this team is just not, the numbers aren't there with runners in the scoring position right now. They're not, you know, they've generated some chances this week. They couldn't cast in. They're not hidden the long ball. I mean, this is a team that needs a little bit of energy and a little bit of life. And obviously, last night was, you know, the whole thing, a whole scene between, you know, losing the game and

kind of the same old problems, you know, you score one run, you got bullpen issues. The guy you traded for, you lose them, you don't know for how long, maybe significantly. So, we don't know. Didn't have a great feeling to it last night. That's for sure. It didn't Scott. There's a lot going on with the team right now and there's not many games to play to figure this out. What we know though is tonight, Christopher Sanchez will go and Scott, it feels like a night in his pitch count and how it's looking. We'll always play into it. But it feels like one of those nights. And I know last time he pitched, he didn't seem happy that he got taken out of the game when he did. It feels like a night to me where ideally, it should be Christopher Sanchez handing the ball to Doran and nobody else should touch the baseball tonight. That's the way I would try to do it. If I was done, mattingly, if it all could work out that way. How do you think they're going to play it tonight? And do you think tonight's a kind of night where Sanchez is used almost like it's a playoff game and get as many outs as you can? I think it's until you're in. I think you have to play that way. I actually kind of thought they might push pain or last night for another inning because the two, you know, the last two,

the fifth and the sixth. I know it was at 93 or 94 pitches somewhere in there. I thought they might try to squeeze a few more outs. And tonight, you know, I mean, McFarlane's over 20 pitches last night. Alvarado through a bunch of pitches last night and unsuccessfully so. I think you have to. Until you're in, it's everything's on the table. And you have to go with your best guys. So Christopher Sanchez is clearly one of their best guys. So I think they're going to get every out they can out of them. Scott, the plan you think it's second base. What might that be? So a rise is banged up. It did not look good. We don't know. None of us know how bad it is. But if we assume he's not able to go at least tonight, but maybe the whole weekend, they have some options. I mean, the Phillies could put Bryce and stop back there. They could put Alec Bohn back to third. Bryce Harper back to first away. It was before the trade and then go with, you know, Dale Cruz or Hill in the outfit. They could also keep it simple by just inserting a Mundo Sosa into

the infield mix, whether it be at second or third with him and start what's your guess? I mean, they're facing righties this weekend, which doesn't help them because it'd be a little bit easier if they're facing lefties with the guys they have on the bench. How do you think they might get through second base this weekend if a rise can't go? I think they'll make his the minimal number of changes, to be honest with you. I think that means that goes to second and so to place third. Unless you were told today, look, a rise is out. You know, whatever. He's got the ankles blown up and he needs surgery or he won't be back or whatever. Like, let's just say that hypothetically, that's the case. Then maybe you go back to something else, like moving Harper back in, playing a different outfit or whatever. But I think they like the construction of the infield. I don't think I mean, so it'll play a good third base. Folmes play a good first base. You know, Scott's going to do well at second. I think they'll probably at least in the short term,

make a few changes that have to make here in the short window and just put stop back in second and let's host the roll at third. Scott, I think this came up last week in our call. And really, when this came up and it's come up in our show the last few weeks or so, more is just like a long range hypothetical. But now, just with the way things are playing out, it could actually play out, it's out, play itself out on Tuesday. If there is a game, one of the playoffs, Scott JT is really struggling. And we know Aaron Nolas had a lot of success with Garrett's stuff. I'll go back to what we talked about last week. Do you think there is any chance now that JT is mired in the slump that we could see stubs in a playoff game with Nola? And obviously, if Wheeler has to pitch Sunday, Aaron Nola could pitch game one. Do you think as your mind changed at all on that or is it still no matter what happens, even if JT enters the playoffs in an over 40, he starts. I think he probably does. Yeah, I mean, I think he probably does. I just don't see a universe where stubs starts over JT in game one of the playoffs. Especially because he's likely hood is you're

going to face fail. Right. And so you're going to load it with right handers and that includes JT. So JT does much, you know, much more than just, you know, it's much more than the stuff at the plate. And I know they value that a great deal. And Nola won't be the only one pitching. If it happens to be Nola, he won't be the only one out there in game one. And, you know, again, Nola didn't. There was nothing Nola did differently the other day because JT was catching that sub was catching. Right. There was a different sub to been catching. It's not like he got blown up. Again, they didn't score. And that's the C problem. That's the biggest problem with the team. They just haven't scored enough runs. And, you know, they had a good run in August for sure. And since they went on that West Coast road trip, you know, they saw Seattle pitching a little better.

They've seen Atlanta a couple of times Houston pitching was better. Clearly the brewers pitching is better. This is a team that's just not scoring enough runs to win right now. That's plain and simple. Scott Fransky with us on a fransky Friday. Phillies and raised this weekend. Phillies magic number to make the playoffs is still a two. It's been there for a few days now. Scott, what's your guess on how the raise my play this weekend? It's interesting that they have everything clinched. They are the number one seed in the American League. And, you know, sometimes when that happens, you think, oh, maybe they'll rest some guys, right? But they have a buy already locked up. So they're not going to play another game post this weekend until next weekend. And we know what teams, you know, the buy has been a weird thing to try to navigate. So my guess is they're probably going to play regular baseball this weekend because they have this time off anyway. What's your guess on how the raise who don't really have anything standing wise to play for are going to play this weekend? Yeah, I mean, when you don't have anything to play for standing wise, you might be out there. You might get your pour at bat. Maybe you don't play with the same intensity. I don't know.

I think the pitching will probably end up being somewhat scripted. You know, there's no, they're not going to pitch Freddie Paralpha for 105 pitches because they're trying to grind out a win. You know what I mean? They probably have numbers in mind where they want to just get guys to work. And that might include the hitters too. You know, we want to get Caminaro 3 at bats this day or three at bats the other day. We want to get someone so off his feet, you know, have a DHA. These kinds of things. I mean, I think it'll probably be a little bit similar to what the Brewers did. You know, I mean, yesterday they rested a month ago. You know, they rested yell at in a game that he would normally play against the right hander. They rested churriol. He came in late, obviously. They made the change, but so I think it's probably somewhat scripted, you know, but then I don't know that they're going to manage it exactly the same way they would in a game that matters in the regular season.

Scott, we appreciate you hopping on as always. And here's hoping we're doing a spot next Friday. And this in this time spot right as the Phillies are about to go to LA or Milwaukee for the division series because a lot's going to play out between now and the next Friday at noon. The Phillies have to get in and maybe they'll win a series between now and then it's going to be a while week. Hopefully some good results this weekend. We'll be listening. Thank you, Scott. Appreciate you. All right. Thank you, guys. There you go. Scott Fransky with us here on a fransky Friday. All right. Third hour. Third question. Why do you Douglas on the spot about the Phillies? Do we have Scott Fransky on one week from right now? And are we getting ready for a division series where the Phillies have made it and won a playoff series? Yes. You believe that? Yes. I mean, I like your confidence. Yes. I wish I I wish I shared the same confidence. I'm overly confident about a lot of things. Yeah. Like the dogs that I well, you know, I pick one. I got it. I got one last night, but the last two. Not so much, but I'm still remain confident. So you want me to believe you after you're won for your last three picks? Yeah, well, 33%. Well, 10 and 10. I got two. What was well, well, I know college. We don't really

West comes, but I got the college one. Then I got to say you're two out of four. Yeah. So it's a 50 50. I'm two out of four. I'm two. I'm 50 50. I know. I said 50. But you say a 40. Like you were trying to say, I'm two. Okay. Okay. Two out of four. Two out of four. 50. Well, that's right. That's right. You know, math on a Friday. Come on, you are two one five five, not two. Ninety four. Nine for on the other side. Zachard spoke yesterday for the first time since signing and having to practice with the Eagles. Well, here from him, it's interesting here. Exactly. I'm happy he's back, but it did sound like maybe he's holding a little grudge from how things played out before he left here. Well, have our petty expert, Hugh Douglas on this next. All your phone calls on the Phillies. Do you think they're going to make the playoffs and your emotion to this team right now and through the final week of the season? It's the midday show sports radio. Ninety four WIP. Welcome back. Midday show. Hugh Douglas, Joe, Jillio and the Phillies magic number sits at two. It's at a two yesterday. You sat at two the day before that. It's been sitting at two for a while.

Five game lead on the diamond backs one week. Scott Fransley just told us when they play the worst team in baseball Rockies, we play the best team in the brewers. This could have happened. And it did. This is the Phillies fault that were here. Hugh, they split with the Metts last week. They split with the nationals. They haven't won a series in the entire month of September. This is their fault. I mean, this is their fault that we're here. It's your own doing. Nobody to blame but yourselves. 215-592-94. Let's do our second check. I'm very interested to see where the poll question goes today. You know that's not the answer. Are the Phillies going to make the playoffs? Yes or no? What do you got? Yes. 56 percent. You also rabid asmol. Have you heard these people today? They're not voting. Yes. No. 65 percent. Yes. 55 percent. No. So far in the poll. It's a no. It's a no. All right. Before we go back to the phones and all things Phillies, let's get to Zach Hertz. Zach Hertz, first practice yesterday with the Eagles. Now, you know, you know, I noticed on the injury report, they did not list him. You know, if a player is on the practice squad, they do not

have to put their status up. So whether he was limited or he was full, we don't know. That's kind of gains with shift. The Eagles can have over the bears because they have two players. Kenny Moore, and they just signed and Zach Hertz. And they don't know. They don't play it. Right. And they don't have Monday. I guess would be the day or it might be Sunday. They have to elevate them from the practice squad if they're going to play them. But until then they can just keep on the practice. Practice. Yeah. So they can practice. Zach Hertz could have practiced full yesterday. Could be distorting tight end Monday. And the Eagles don't have to tell the bears that for another couple days. So little gains with shift. Let's hear Zach Hertz yesterday after practice talking about special it is being back here at Philadelphia. Oh man, it's special. Obviously some things have changed around here. The locker room is a little bigger. The trainer room is a little better, but overall it's great to see the people that I've missed for a long time. But yeah, especially be back for sure. It does feel like it means a lot to me back. I heard him the other day talking about it. My lots was mom, his wife. So you could feel it. He never wanted to leave here. And he's happened to be back. So let's let's hear Zach Hertz kind of expound on this. You know, traded away.

Was it five years ago now October? Yeah, Arizona. 21 to yeah, to Arizona. You're our petty expert. You know, the exact thing ended weird. I mean, everyone's kind of made up for it now. And everyone's good, I guess, but it ended weird. That whole summer was weird. And they brought them back and then they traded them. It never felt like you wanted to leave. Here's Hertz yesterday on the whole thing. You tell us if you think he still feels some way about it. Now there was never a plan to come back. Obviously, I've never wanted to leave in the first place. So let's just put that out there in the opportunity. Finally arose that I could come back. There's been times I've asked in the past and I didn't come to fruition for whatever reason. But for me, it's just a blessing to be back. If you told me when I got hurt that I'd be back here in 90 and they have more practice than for the Philadelphia Eagles, you could assign me up there. So for me, this is a place that I've always called home. There's a place that everyone asks for. My favorite place to play is everyone knows it's here. There's so many memories we're in a place for nine years. So special. Be back. Not so much petty. I guess waxing on the style. A little bit. So it caught me was let's just put that out there. I mean, he wanted to leave.

Well, I mean, it isn't he basically saying go talk to how the reason I'm not here. I haven't been here the whole time is they traded. Well, you know, I would say most people that come back, you never want to leave. But you do what you have to do because at the end of the day, you're independent contract, right? You know, and if the job you're contracted to do the job somewhere else, you know, you got to go do the job. And if another job presents itself in the place that you've been, you're more than happy to come back. So it's more more so like that. You know, what's that? What'd you buy to say? As the real most petty one on the show, allow me. What are you talking about? Well, he made it. He wanted to put it out there twice. They never wanted to leave. Also, he wanted to come back. Said it multiple times. Said, there's been times I wanted to come back. But you know, didn't didn't come to fruition for whatever reason. He knows a reason that is he's being petty to howie because it was bad blood when it ended. He never said. Oh, one, one, one, one, one, he cried. He died his hair. Oh, he cried his hair. He bleached his hair. And he crashed out. Yeah, you missed it. Oh, see,

I wasn't here for you. So y'all got more, you have more intel on this to not do that. That's why I'm the on the most petty one on the show. Okay, I defer. I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, aggress and I defer. That's pretty clear. He's taking shots at howie to me. Well, the, let's just put that out there. Yeah. That's a strong statement. Like this, but the most, I mean, in case you got confused, I didn't ask to go. They sent me out of here. I never wanted out of your. Yeah. It was the whole thing was weird that you're going to say, everyone thought they'd move off them in the summer. And then they brought it into the season. And then it was like week four or five of that year, they traded them. Look, I'm happy he's back. I mean, I, they could, he had two things. One, I thought, I thought they could use them before the scene started. But now what got her out, they almost need him now. Yeah. Because he's, he was, got her was a guy. He was like the safety blanket for Jayland. Right. He caught a lot of passes. Well, look at week one. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So now you have a tight end out there that, you know, you can, you can kind of open the field up a little bit more for Jayland. Have more options out there when he wants to throw the football. So yeah, definitely need him. Yeah, they're going to be coy about it. But I, unless he's not physically ready, I anticipate him playing a bunch of snaps on Monday. I mean, he's played so many years in the NFL. I love this terminology.

And he'll figure out the play they're asking him to run here. If he's physically good, you think he plays Monday? If he's physically good, physically good. Yes. Yes. I expect him out there a lot. This is Friday. What does that mean? That's what usually happens on Friday. When did they live in the global? Cool. I'm going to say that you got me tongue tied. Too fast. Are you going to pretend all these drops are from Fridays? Yes. That those, those, those, those, those, I know we have, I want them to feel like I'm professional for the most part. Those why are companies. I mean, they know you. I just, I just heard. Yeah, we have all the drops to prove you're not. No, you know, it's fine because he came in and say, you were cooking bacon on there. Oh, you know what? I'm maybe playing for our guests. We do have some guests here in the studio. And this is obviously a great list of notes about the bacon drop. We could play that one for what? Do you want the, do you want the full audio? Yeah, why not? It's a Friday. No, because it's still like you go up there and you're, you're vulnerable. Like you immediately learn musical taste. Hugh Douglas. What? Who damn Douglas? Hugh Douglas. What the hell, man? Yeah, it is bacon. It is bacon you. What you can hear that? Wait, let me just,

Hugh Douglas, it's a microphone. Wait, but just let me turn this last piece of bacon, man. Let me turn this bacon in the end. No, go ahead here. We'll, we'll, we'll wait. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Wait for you here. It's okay. Okay, not okay. It's turned. Okay, I'm back. The bacon was good too. I'm sure what you know, it's funny. As I hear that bacon sizzle, I remember that moment. It sounds like it was wonderful. It sounds like it's good. It was like eight pieces. Yeah, wow. And you know, I learned this thing. I learned that if you put water in the pan and then you put, you cover it. That's the way to do it. It makes it cook better. It makes it crispier. Your whole audience learned about it too. You know, you know what the reminds me of when colors were like, hang on, like just give me a minute. I'm gonna take you out. I'm like, you know, take your time. It's fun. Just library. We have all the time in the world. My favorite part is not, you got caught, right? So the one or two choices, you could have just turned everything off right then and said, all right, my bag guys, or you said, hold on, I got to turn this one last piece of bacon. I can't let the bacon burn. I know, but you were to win a job win a pandemic. No rules. And it was like, you know, you can't burn bacon because then I got to venture out right into the truth. You're sure what the rest of you think about that. So I had it was a, it was a, it was a executive decision.

I had food with scarce. Yeah. No, he was protecting himself. You know what was scarce? toilet paper. Well, that was first few weeks. Oh, no, people were taking all the toilet paper in the water. Oh my god. And I remember seeing people take like paper towels, cutting them in half. Let's first few weeks wild. I mean, there's like, I don't know. It was, you know, in Georgia, it's a little different, you know, it's a little bit more country. A little more sweat, a little bit more country. Okay. But don't they need toilet paper just the same as up here? No, but it was, but no, but when I tell you, no, but when I say it was different, I don't know how it was up here for you guys. Yeah. But it was like anarchy. Yeah, it's the same. It was insane. It was insane. It was. Anarchy. Yes. People are crazy all across the country. Yeah, it's crazy. Then just live in Georgia. Crazy. Live everywhere at that time. Let's go to George in Drexel Hill. What's up, George? Yes, sir. I think it would be fun for them to win, make it into the playoffs because you know how bad they're playing. And see how far they can go.

What do you got to do? Listen, they got a good pitching staff. Just keep your thratt four pitches. You want to throw at them and the rest of your starters, you got to come more started. Put them in a bullpen and use the bullpen. Use them as bullpen. Don't use the bullpen. We got it. They're all socked. I agree. They'd be honest with you. Right. Use our starters as bullpen to some of them. We got a chance to win it all. I think the fill you do get hot. I'll be on the land of the winnet. It'd be great, but you feel it's going to happen, George? I'm not feeling confident this morning. Today, whatever time it is, it should have happened last year. It should have done that. It's that pitching stram. And those other knock on the head. They had for relievers. That's why we were going to want to show. We could have won the world's say was last year. If they would have done that right using the starters for bullpen, and then in telling us, I'm telling you that for a year. You want to listen to me? Yeah, I'm one fan. Yes, that's why that's why what echo got canned are all manager got canned because

of stupid stuff like that. Not using starters for bullpen. He could have won it last year against Dodgers. Yeah. Yeah. I see it. In Joe Pica, we can do a dish. That's that's probably the game this year. You have to play us. And let's see how far we can go using our starters for really for pitching it. You know, for starting and for relief. And maybe the hitters will come around and start to hit. Maybe sounds good. You feel come more confident? I listen to George here. I feel so much more confident. Yeah, we have nothing to lose. Well, they do. They can lose their playoff spot. But you're right. They have nothing big. I mean, he's talking to my player house. I think he gives a crap. Yeah. I tell my player. Right. Nobody thinks you're going to win anything anywhere. Everybody thinks you're going to get if they do get in. They're going to lose the first round. Yeah. Well, what if they don't or something get hot? It's possible. How about if the others team start to stink a little bit? That could happen to. Their pitching starts to go. I believe, Joe. That's how I've been telling Joe to believe. All more. Why do you want to bring it like George said? If you had said this the way George's

this morning, I would have believed you. I mean, because I was a little tired. I stayed up and watched that game last night. I was really good. Who would have been hollering? Yeah. Yeah. You were not worried about the game. This is relax about the game. I can't relax. I was hyper last night's game. I really was. I someone had gone. Why? I should get hyper. I know it's going to happen. But you know what? They have a chance. Let them make the playoffs. We know they're not going to win. But who knows? George believes. George is the most belief of anyone I've heard today. George, I love you. Let's talk Monday. Maybe it'll be in. All right. We're going to talk either way. I'll call you Monday. Because Monday. George, I love it. George is become. It's not get better. George is rocketing up the callers list. Yes. That was awesome. It took me on a roller coaster. I thought he was coming in man. And he's like, you know what? Screw you guys. We're going to win it all. You never know. George was our call yesterday. He wanted more to Carlo in the lineup, right? Yes. Correct. You should they put to Carlo and Ryefield tonight and get Bryce back to first. I would think yes. You want to Carla.

I'll have to top of my head. Yes. You've been screaming for more to Carlo. The whole season. I did like calling the old bad day a bunch of knuckleheads. Well, they are knuckleheads. Alvarado might be the biggest knucklehead. King knucklehead. I can't I can't handle watching a pitching. Are you still here next year as in our contract? Oh, I don't. I hope not. I'm just finished there. Yeah. That's not so good. I'm good off the George mentioned the starters as relievers. Well, they're going to do that. I mean, if they get in next week, we're probably going to see painter out of the bullpen unless he has to pitch, of course, in game three. If we were camp pitch in game one and they have to shuffle this holding around. But if let's say they clinched today or tomorrow, it'll be Wheeler game one. Sanchez two. No, only game three painters going to pitch out the bullpen. Now if there was some other news yesterday that we were waiting for it, Tazezuz, was our. This is actually one thing training in the right direction. It seems. Can we hear the Zardo yesterday talking about where he's at? He's thrown a couple times just to kind of test the stiff shoulder he has. Here's Zuzardo talking about it. I mean, I feel really good and healthy. And yeah, I mean, I think tomorrow is a big day to see how it bounce back. But you know, everything keeps trending in the right direction. So I think you know, the chance

to get everything is out there. Yeah, everything feels really good. No, no residual. I feel like normal. Yeah. Do you have any indication if you are in the pitch for postseason one role of the band? Whatever role they need me at. I mean, I don't. If they need me one inning, two inning guy with the bullpen three inning, I can start. Oh, you know, really, I can be the bad boy. Whatever they ask of me. I'll do. I just want to win. So it doesn't matter. You just say the bad boy or the bad boy? Bad boy. Okay, I got you. Why would he say he could be the bad boy? I don't know. I was wondering. I was wondering. But like, but why? I don't know. I mean, I was wondering. I was like, that doesn't sound like my baseball when he said that. I was just. Yeah. Well, I'm glad we landed on the right thing. He said, here's the thing that has me encouraged. He says he feels good. Right? He's thrown multiple times. I do think based on what he's saying, he's going to be able to pitch in the playoffs. Now, I don't know how effective he'll be. He hasn't thrown it a game since September six or seven. It's going to be close to a month. So I don't know

how effective he'll be. But I think he's going to pitch for them next week if they're in. But it sounds like he's willing to do what he has to do in order to get out there. So yeah, that's the optimism. I like I like that part of it. Well, that's yeah, there hasn't been much good news around the Phillies in the last two or three days. The Lazardo thing feels like the best news we've gotten a while. He seems like he thinks he can pitch. Hey, our rides almost here. Are you ready? Just grabbing my shoes. That's what you said 10 minutes ago. I just wrapped the video call, uploading this giant file on my tablet, looking at my watch group and Nana's with the group chat, and of course, still lining up tonight's playlist on my phone. You know, perhaps, you know, last year, remember, Ranger was banged up heading into the post season and they did the the piggyback thing where Nolestard and then Ranger came in. That might it could be Monday or Tuesday, whenever you have Tuesday the playoffs started. Okay, it is all it does for like it's all hands-on deck situation on the question. Well, here's the thing like George was optimistic, TheraColor. There is a scenario here where it's bad as a lot of us feel today. They clinch today or tomorrow and they get in Monday and it's like you just got to win two out of three and you've won a series, right? Like that's... You're gonna feel better. I'm just trying to say it's it is possible. Yeah, don't do that. Okay, well it is possible as much as it doesn't feel likely right now, it is possible. Let's go to William in Maintain. What's up, William? Hey William. Uh oh. William, go, William. Hey, hey, hey, hey, what are we doing? Good. William, what's up? That might just wonder and you know what we needed to do today to let the spirit stop? What's that? You should've painted your faces red for the boys. You know, it didn't feel right. It's out of our eye.

I didn't, I didn't feel right today. I maybe next week we could we could we could workshop next week with the red face paint. red face pan come on you maybe the overalls if they make it next week red for you how would you misplace fillies overalls like where could they be I don't know okay that's what it misplaced because you don't know where you are that's what it was place you got me with that I'll go somewhere we'll consider it next week well well you might I can't come in here after they lay down last night like dogs with red face pain I can't do that come on I feel like you're no and they're not gonna be there a lot of game don't know they this thing's over this thing's over put a fork in them they're like the turkey hand they're done well then why are you asking me to wear face pain it's gonna look like a clown while this thing is saying it process to you said you want because I just wanted to see you and red paint just like he's a goofy looking when he does it I don't need to get to go to realize that's a good point not it's not a good point well if he makes you good I've never had a red paint well you know orange

I think you just a goofy red I know the orange implies that's the best man y'all laughing way too hard well I mean you look like an orange band of the opera I do it only paying a half in the face yeah why did you do that because y'all forced me to no yeah we forced you yeah happy to be a big player I'm gonna be a big baby this I'm gonna do that such a team player that you abandon us at the flood at uh I tried to save you people didn't forget that you did not try to show you left up you high-tailed it right out there was a flood and you ran away y'all showing off because we have company and I did try to save y'all I told you to not one more than one occasion we turned around that the water was wraddle deep and you were gone that's what I know Joe chose to sit there with the electricity all around the show must go on the show must go on and listen I was I was at the studio by time y'all I know and I came in here soaking wet after swimming here and meanwhile you were fine fine it's big into that it might be a little gnarly as we can do I know who I'm not

gonna be with if it's gnarly outside the guy that would run away in a storm well look so will you wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait I'm on the phone line here i love it William what's up I got one more question for you all y'all got that famous uh drop by you I was wondering if this has this husband that guy that called yesterday chuck or chip and claim out I want to be on tv with my husband I'm glad I'm here to entertain you William it's not your job to entertain you yes it is it's my job now I played with guys if you honest skip is not huge husband it's not my husband I don't I don't have a husband I said if I did have one yep that if I was going on television uh-huh then my husband would be with me but I don't have a husband I want to be on tv with my husband it's more context to that but yeah we don't do this a lot of work on it hold on a second nobody else under station has it I want to be on tv with my husband no it was more context so maybe the context is okay since we have company I gotta tell him

what happened was who was a jaylen bronson was on television yeah after they won the championship with his mother right and he's married and I just wonder why he wasn't on television with his wife fair question because you would be on tv and I say because if it was my husband if I was married that I would be on tv with my that's what I see it so so did you know the context I would have wrote him until he told me now that ain't got nothing to do over talking about got nothing to talk about but that was the context yes that was the context it's still funny the way you said it would you acknowledge that I guess okay I guess you could have said it I would have wanted to be on tv with my spouse it's my it's the same one election yeah everything it's very like your very matter of fact about it you're making a point it was a hypothermic yep I want to be on tv with my husband it is the high pitch at the end of the way the more you play the worst the sound I know that's why we play it a lot and that's why the audience obviously is last on to it Riley is up in driftwood what's up Riley hey guys what's going on Riley what's up man what

are you thinking well although I don't think it'll happen I love to see all the traveling birds fans take over soldier field that they did in Nashville but I don't think it'll happen but I love to see big 86 back on the field Monday night as well I'm hoping he's healthy enough to go I have absolutely 99.99 percent confidence that we will come out of there three you know well I like that it's more you know you're above me in confidence level and I also would love Riley to see what you're saying if it was a big Eagles takeover probably not considering Chicago's pretty good sports down and that they'll they'll be there for their bears and it's not quite like the Titans in Nashville but Riley anytime there's a road game I do expect a lot of Eagles fans I mean Hugh and I are going to the Jaguar game in London in a couple weeks and I'm sure there's going to be a ton of Eagles fans there and this can be a part yeah this fan base travels it's amazing what's going on the last 10 15 20 years it just feels like every road game there's a ton of Eagles fans it's awesome oh absolutely especially you know they've got for over in London they got a whole

Philly sports themed bar so there's always a bunch of Philly fans in there yeah that's what we're going to do our show there's Thursday and Friday yeah of that week when we're out there well like seven o'clock at night yeah no well three to seven there we'll be on ten or two here for the regular three seven yeah trying to just forget my big one okay and we have a little time to plan this out yeah I could go on for probably two hours about how I feel about down so I only want to get into about the Philly's right now but the flyers I'm excited for this season they looked pretty good last night since most of the starters were playing they looked really good what Envladar did not get injured bad the other night which is a good which is good news because that that was the one thing I saw two nights ago Riley that he came off the ice and looked like a shoulder issue but they they seemed to downplay that which is great and right I'm excited for they open on Wednesday with the penguins here there it there is it's fun because there is going to be a little more buzz to start the season both flyers off the playoffs and obviously the sixers with LeBron and and Jalen Brown like there's going to be a buzz for those two when the next month happens yeah because

uh you know I think what the the six are having to press conference with Monday Monday's media day and then and then the flyers starting pretty quick yes going to be exciting time to talk all four sports when it when they finally start yeah and the backdrop of that of course is I think a lot of us feel like we might need to talk about the other those teams because the Phillies might not be around for much longer which I hope they are but right now the way they've played I my confidence level is is quite low as we head to this weekend two one five five nine two ninety four ninety four all right your focus on this all do you think the Phillies are going to actually do this and get into playoffs here my gut is telling me they're not and this is going to be a tough weekend for them I hope I'm dead wrong and I hope we're talking about playoff series probably against the braze when we get back in here on Monday and they'll start that thing on Tuesday where are you on the Phillies and I'm a little uneasy about this bearers game on Monday Eagles have a lot of injury setting into the game when we come back we do have to give credit what credit is to Hugh Douglas he bounced back in a big way last night the Douglas dog of the day came through who gets his props next midday show sports radio ninety four W. I. P.

Victory last time he earned it welcome back midday show how do we miss some cocoa is kind of silly up in here feels like fall I do like this weather Hugh Douglas show Jillio and pumpkin spice not not yet it is pumpkin spice season it is pumpkin spice here the only one of us here yesterday was brave enough to pick the dog of the week to start off week three in the NFL congratulations you Douglas picking the Atlanta Falcons outright last night yes I did I didn't pick more the money line I missed it by one I had a four-legged probably I missed it by one I had Drake London anytime touch now yeah and boy you you talk about somebody who you talk about I wasn't up yelling a screaming I was up yelling a screaming when the game was was close to being over and he threw him he threw him that fade to the outside and he was trying to get to the ends all that's like get to the ends that need a got to the ends all you know what I'm proud of you that sounds like a degenerate gambler and a blowout game needing one more touchdown you need one more anytime touch that you you needed that man I needed that I needed that you know it was yeah you know it's funny I had a

feeling that it was gonna go like that because everybody was down on the file because there people were asking seriously could they flex the game they were asking and Falcons fans were not happy about it but I was like it just feels like they do a lot the diehard fans and it felt like it was it was it was they were due and you know what really really had me kind of kind of vex though when Michael pennies went out there and threw that first pick I was like oh the whole direction of you he looked like it's the beginning it did he came out in the second half and looking like a different quarterback but boy I tell you I was just in there talking about B. John Robinson oh he's amazing man it's a great player 29 carries for two wasn't 213 yards and I said my basically we started doing what ifs like you know that you got the what if coming out the what if yes right what if b-john would have been in this offense well that was Kyle's thing well let me ask you guys question we know we know let's have let's have the what it like well

hold on we saw it like we got we got take on with no would just say we he's like say I like don't get me wrong don't get me wrong say quan is a hell of a run of bat but b-john's younger well no no fine I guess oh well then but maybe maybe this year would look a little different last year would have looked a little bit different well maybe yeah maybe a longer range of a high end back but I guess but in terms of like the peak that they reached in 24 you can't really get much like well here's the one if guys get much better than two thousand yards in a certain the what if is very simple because b-john went eight in that draft jail in quarter went nine yeah we wouldn't have jaylen Carter who was right or half I would say you know and and and you know we were talking about it go ahead speak speak your mind he's he would he's cheaper for it would have been cheaper well he well you're right because they're both on new contracts and he is ten ten million dollars cheaper but he was a little cheaper now and the defense will look different but our offense will look would probably be a little bit more dynamic not not again not taking nothing away from say quan because say quan we all know what he did actually fun fun question yeah so here's what I think the

Eagles might not win and probably don't win this for both two years ago oh I beg to never would be John but there's no jail in Carter he was the best player on that okay you're talking about you're talking about in that okay but but I do think they might be better now right it's like if you play all the years out and if we had b-john now no sake one and we had and instead of Carter they probably pay Milton Williams and they pay Osama so this defensive line is still good you I think in your scenario it's a fun one you brought up I think the Eagles probably are better today but they don't win that's the rebel to you I don't know I think they win it I think I think you're putting more points on the board you might you might hypothetically be putting more points on the board but how could b-john be better than that sake one that year that was the best sake one yeah but when you look at okay and I'm I'm a prisoner in a moment you are I'm a prisoner moment yes yes a Thursday night game against the packers but we write Eagle's history but when you look at that run like you book of me and when you look at that the run that he had last night can't you envision him having more games like that here of course sure

but but like hold on we saw that a million times from sake one that's in 24 yeah that was that was sake one two years ago yeah okay I mean I hear you well I mean it's a fun it's a fun conversation but here's the game that makes it even though it's in case study the runs game yes yeah Jaylen Carter got the sack but you had those two huge sake one runs yeah and maybe you have more runs from from b-john behind this offensive line maybe because like that that offensive line for Jake Matthews was having a struggle he was on a struggle bus for early on in that game and you know he bounced back but think about if you had b-john behind this line with those fresh young legs yeah well he'd be amazing I mean he's a great football player so that's a fun hype of them it is so now you're fantasizing about b-john's fresh young legs behind this a lot the way you the way you make it sound is this we should assemble the few Eagles dream team Dak press got a quarterback b-john Robertson running back this is his fantasy team he goes fantasy team had to take a drink in my heart well I never back b-john's fresh legs I'll dare you well look we can make this we can

make this a weekly thing you love underdogs we had battle on making a little sounder for it yes he's the Douglas dog of the week oh already you got another one for this weekend I took the brown huh in the dog down the dog in the dog down the dog in the dog how are you the show wants to give them two games in a row yes that's a lot against uh b-john I didn't b-john's by well even though you know he beat b-john's back since you know that whole tyrie's back today I know I know I know I know I know I'm back he's talking my tyrie's back he's talking Mr. Steele your girl poor tyrie's probably in town getting ready for meaty day I want to talk about oh there's your dog was turning the dog with me Mr. Steele your girl why are they talking about that I don't know it's good to Nina in Philadelphia what's up Nina hey how you doing guys good Nina what's up today what are you thinking um well um on September 10th I was watching a Philly's game and I watched another crazy horrible bass running error this time

by Bryce Harper and I did what I have never ever ever done in my Philly's fandom life and I'm 62 I went out and I was so angry and I grabbed my phone I placed a ten dollar bet on the Philly's not to make the playoffs oh the emotional hedge bet that I mean listen Nina sometimes we all have to do it where you want your team to win but at least you can make a few dollars if they don't so what kind do you remember what kind of odds you got probably pretty good ones yeah 10 I well I'd make 230 if they are plus 30 yeah you yeah but I have another good another thing to say and I know we kind of focus on the players and we're all trying to figure out why they're so horrible and seemingly they like I went to the game last night and it's just sort of so lifeless there's no spirit I felt so being a fan is so hard the moment we were so jealous of all the Milwaukee fans they were having such a good time anyway I think it's the top brass the owners just have this

product that they're making so much money off of and they're lazy and have no thought and they're kind of just saying this is what we have and this world going to stick with and they've signed all these players to multi-year contracts so I'm kind of thinking they're thinking this is what it is you have a team that is always going to maybe make the playoffs maybe make a run and they're just not a creative top branch they're just a bunch of old white men who can't think well what they are is their to your content Nina and and Dave Dombrowski is that word yeah that's the word I was looking for their content being okay and well that yeah I mean I'm yeah that's what it is and Nina we appreciate the phone call their content and yeah that's what they are felt a little unnecessary he thought so too but I thought we were trying to end on a high-knowing there I don't know I don't know I'm gonna try to hand it at well I was gonna rip them right to but then I realized I'm content in white too so I mean what am I gonna do like I'm like

I'm like I'm waiting discontent so here what are you I'm black I'm black I'm you content and I'm just I'm not I'm not committed okay black it not but you're not not coming about being black you are black don't get that confused two one five five nine two ninety four not all right coming up guess the takes in the one o'clock and Lebron James ahead of his media day Monday he for the first time I think on record said why he chose the sixers you'll hear from Lebron next and I guess a part of the reason he came to Philadelphia that doesn't make any sense but hell Lebron said it's will play it it's the midday show on sports radio 94 WIP a new football season brings some big questions who makes the playoffs who wins the division who takes home the title on Calcih America's number one prediction market platform let's you trade those predictions in a live market are there some fun games on Sunday across the NFL what are we going to go with here how about I you know who I like on Sunday I like the taxes to get

who you know six or another media day money is going to be a big day around here so we either were either having a philly's funeral monday or we're getting ready for a postseason series we have an eagles game on monday night and here you know monday is six years media day no yeah we got like going on lot going on monday so monday is a big day around here and monday over the first time lebron james talks as a six or he never had a press conference he just got to set out and not doing that so he is a six or we've been talking about this in July but he's never actually spoken as a six or although on his podcast last night I guess he did to some degree explain why he chose the six was let's hear lebron on his decision of why it is us here in filanofia first I want to hear like how did you comment a philly my relationship with tyrie's maxi goes beyond the court you can tell every time you mention it on the yeah yeah you love it and by the way everyone I mentioned them in the past on the on the podcast philly was not even a question like it was just like I didn't even know they would know absolutely I didn't even you know obviously and it's way before the jb trade as well which was another intriguing piece I don't think anybody seen coming people

saw that something was going to happen there but I didn't I don't think anybody thought that it would be philly that would be part of that that trade package I love the way he approaches the game too you know both sides of the floor what he brings to the game his insight on the game on watch them kind of misunderstood and that is absolutely okay I don't think I think we're all individuals for a reason like you know I'm saying and everyone's always trying to put everybody in the same box and I and I love what what he stands for what he brings to the table and one of the most important to be honest is the big fella and only he has not done and that's when the championship and I want to try to help him get that first one right what do you think you you buy I'm okay with that this will buy James man I mean you know I'm okay with all of that well y'all are quiet and stuff I'm kind of way but I'm cool yeah I mean I'm I'm cool with it too I just

you know just I always wondered with the brown when he's talking like is did he create this idea and it's head today or is he felt this the whole time I I want to hear a more speak about the decision to come to the sexers like was this just a matter of this was the best spot like I I the whole thing from Dave want to be chosen I don't think you want to think you want another true no I do you want to be chose what the truth doesn't really matter he's here now yeah you want to be chose with the Phillies Bryce Harper's first choice it was the only thing that gave the money no I know so this happens right okay but he's he's corny too annoying well you just on this because you didn't want to begin well no but like I look dude I'm trying to embrace this whole thing but he's lying through his teeth he's made you just talk that of his ass that all time I'm okay with that fine you're a sheep well not a here we go the personal attacks right no listen doos 41 right and and I was listening to somebody else talk about I think it was was was Angelo or somebody because your extra time my ex and they were talking about how you know he he hasn't endeared himself to the city man listen he doesn't have to for me when bring us a

championship and and you know he said that in that cut that's the biggest thing that he said and he's trying to bring the big fella championship he ain't got to go to Wawa you ain't got to see matter what I would love to see as long as he come here and play good basketball and get help us get a championship I'll take that if he wants to be a little standoff and you know and all this other stuff then so be it I just I just don't want everyone to buy his crap what crap is that that crap there's no way that he was he's been ironed up the six or since the minute he left L.A. he was probably trying to go to Cleveland probably trying to go to Miami probably trying to go to the words he was trying to get all these teams to make moves to get on their knees and go please the broad I agree I agree and then they didn't want to win a championship well yes you but those teams didn't do those things that he wanted them to do and then he and now and I always come to the section which which is fine that's great we can be happy is here but don't give the legute shows us the pieces to my I'm not I'm not I'm not in that I'm not in that I'm not in

that camp this don't just don't be a sheep hey I'm happy you tell me like hey man just just one time is well perhaps there's an underrated reason why Philadelphia stood out to him it's a city of champions yes let's also listen to this from LeBron on his podcast then no we're we're ready here to win I can compete in the one team that could compete for a championship but I think the city of Philly wants that this is this is the city of champions the Phillies have done it in recent years he meant that he meant the Eagles he did not he knows not he's a football fan he was at the Rams game on Monday night he knows all about football he meant the Eagles he did not he knows who was the Philly's Eagles nope nope well okay hope first of all he has to get those two right if he's going to be here second he he knows he knows that the Eagles have won the recent years Phillies Eagles that's what he meant to say Phillies Eagles do you think he has any idea the last time the Phillies won the World Series because I don't think he does probably not okay and that you know he's not from here yeah and he's I guess a hat he's a half Indians guardians fan half Yankees

that always piss people off because he would go to the Guardians games or Indians game the Yankee hat whatever yeah but like he doesn't have to know less than the Phillies one but he tried to just sneak in there well the Phillies have won recently to 2008 wasn't exactly recently it was a long time okay okay clever on the safe page that that was a long time I think my thing he was he might have meant they've been in the world series okay well that's that's accurate we I'm up here decipher Lebron James is trying to say Monday media day can't wait I need ask what did you mean when you say the Phillies was winning when do you talk my the Eagles what you talk about well that would be awesome if someone Monday at the media it's like Lebron was last time the Phillies won the World Series puts them on the spot he probably nobody now you think something you would say something that somebody yeah you probably know you got to know that by now yeah are we allowed to use 18 years as recent for a championship feels like a liberal way to like a long time it feel like when you know in the context of recent it's not like it was like well think about this 18 years ago

how old are you 37 oh yeah yeah you know 18 years ago I was 21 matter fact I was at that parade I was working I was doing the Fox thing at working talking about the Phillies win how over you Kyle and oh eight I was 13 see this a long time ago yeah look at us now I mean he was pushing 60 pushing 40 Lebron James I know when this didn't you're happy let's give it's a long time ago guys relax wow AG and pitman is up what's up AG hey guys what's up man what do you think it oh man first I got a couple questions for you all today but but let's like you know before I get to them questions I got asked my man he doubles man I got to check up on my man you know make sure he are right man what I do you know like you like you girl him I mean what what I do what I do I don't know man I got back in the trunk and all I heard was you know like you talking about you know like you know you know you know you want to be on TV with your husband wait me AG first first of all I want to be on TV with my husband wait me wait me AG allow me see don't don't take what

been taken see I tried to frame it in a way we were talking about like we we were talking about when Jaylen Brunson was on television with his mom talking about the championship we and okay and I was talking about I said he's married right and I'm like why don't you be with his mom just embrace it you know no no because AG could he ask for a little to be curious no no he he on TV with his mom right he's on TV with his mom and I said well if he why is his wife not there with him because if it was me I would want to be on TV if it's my husband I want to be on TV with my husband I've been 3d printing see don't listen don't let Kyle drive away in the between us you don't let him do that because that's what AJ I'm playing we got I'm not a real inclusive man I'm a real inclusive I ain't listen to and to all those that have husbands and wives that are disabled that's cool but that's not that no I'm just saying I'm politically you're a lot of long talking on this one you you know like you followed up one and you was like you know like yeah you know like I would have voted this way no see see me

I'm aging that that's another thing I was taking out a context that was that was back when when when when uh who was the Jolombi was playing and he was hurt but we were trying to figure out if we could you know if we could you know he how long he could play it you know if you could ride him I told you know I would have wrote he told you know Kyle take these he take these clips dog he clips him and he makes people take him out of context I just know he now asked me she's a she and the car with the kids and they asking her does he have a husband no I question on every phone

first I want to say uh I'm happy about Zach Ers being back on the team but like I'm not like a lot of guys I'm not you know you know like oval board because you know like he coming off a gruesome injury and um I just want to see what he got then you know like he still got the wheels on them um well I mean aji I agree I mean it's it's a I don't know until I see it he was playing well though I mean he's still it's funny because he's older now but the last couple of years in Washington he was still very productive you go back to that championship game you know commanders came here and played us a couple years ago he probably was there leading receiver that game I he had he had to have eight or ten catches yeah so I still think yeah there's something left in the tank as long as that knee is is feeling good all right real quick listen why isn't our guy the best GM in the league why isn't he going after McCoy back then man like we really need McCoy right now on that oh one it is you know aji they they could definitely use one more my guesses and aji great phone call man great here from you we brought this up a couple days ago you my guesses

right now they really believe in the young guys they have right Mike amorous uh Willie Lampkin obviously Kendall's now in the lineup you that because it is logical he was here he's on the street he said the other day how he should call me but the fact that they're not makes me think they think these young guys if they need them can can play yeah that's what it kind of feels like man because you talk about a guy who was a first round draft pick who came in and played Garf us played well play guard well for us I don't think they feel like they're there yet so that you know as we me under through these weeks and if cam jurgens doesn't play well then maybe you know but I don't think that they feel like they're there yet I think you're right about that and now look if they have one more injury then it would it would it would make sense that they would do that two one five five nine two ninety four ninety four let's grab Eric quickly here on wip what's up Eric hey guys what's going on how you doing okay to work with before I have I think it's a good analogy but before we get there as the listeners at home probably remember I'm coming out to the

Rams games week four with my daughters okay is it still possible Joe and you that can come up to the tent before the game and get a picture of you guys yes Eric and actually so for every home game we have we always have a fan do the Eagles chant with us leading into the the hour right before the game so I guess if it's a one o'clock game right at noon we have someone come up there and do the Eagles chant with the crowd Eric if you're around and you want to be the guy you might be the guy oh oh yeah for sure I'll be okay all right we'll see you in good bourbon for a huge while then he'll bite he'll invite you right up to the stage as you're giving him bourbon to be honest it's like a more bourbon process I didn't say those words and say that one time whoa just a P word okay so here's the here's the example I wanted to give so you but when I moved up to the northern part of California I had done maybe 40 jury trials by that point right all criminal and I did my first civil trial a criminal trial civil trials are 98% the same but there's enough differences that when things get tense or it's a key moment you're you're done to suffer you're

gonna make some mistakes and I was thinking about asking cam jurgens to go from center to left guard I'm sure a lot of it is more or less the same right but there's enough differences that like on a tense moment a fast play by Jennings etc you're gonna you're gonna make some mistakes but eventually you do enough you kind of make up the difference you learn the different tricks of the trade so I'm thinking jurgens it'll take a while but that he can get there and given that they had a new person playing center anyway so I'm confident that cam jurgens is gonna you know master that position or at least improve it to where our old line starts rocking in the near future well I hope so and look jurgens you know he's been an excellent player if he's healthy I think he can figure and he played guard back you know when he first got in the league so we know he could do that to an extent we appreciate the phone call sorry cut Eric off that's my bad I didn't need to run Eric we we you know we got a lot going on here and we're excited to see and talk to you in the next week so all right coming up we will get to Hughes favorite segment of we guess the takes more your phone calls plus here you know what today is right what Friday what we know we know it's

we're we're we're hyperbolic everybody's hyperbolic I know but in their assessments of everything that one right there I would I would venture to say especially in Atlanta people are going to ask how exactly what did he say that you could compare to Martin Luther King also the gravity of hey guys we lost the panthers to hey I have a dream they don't seem like they're on the same level of the night it's not in their feet okay okay that's that's my thought too yeah I mean you know what's funny because when you were when you were you know you were flesh and sout you was like this can't be real I was like what are you talking about my first instinct was this is AI or things so when you went over there and you were vetting you make sure that's like wait yeah and I saw it and I'm like dog I should come out was it better or worse than being white and content I don't know I don't know honestly the fact that you had to think about it is crazy I don't I don't know that's okay that's a lot it's a lot it's a lot he really what there's a lot it's it's all on

a four can we freshen up that that Amazon Prime booths it else cooked and I I don't need any more Kirk Kirk Street on my TV content yeah and I'm discontent with that broadcast change change I'm sorry anyway rent free Tucker Kraft obviously having some discontent with his own fans let's hear Kraft going back at Packers fans yeah it's pretty tough you know like everyone pictures in Lambo field and and the not booze I don't picture booze I I picture my home stadium that's tough it's pretty disappointing especially for a home opener especially for a home opener it's pretty disappointing it's not gonna help us win I gotta know I don't know what people think that's gonna rally us something like that but you know that's that's we're growing man we're mentally strong enough capable enough to to get back on the field man I'm not sure about that ball obviously not but probably much easier with the 70,000 people behind us rather than

posing us Tucker maybe don't lose by three touchdowns at home they try that they try to cheer your own yeah but as they as the Falcon star to score more points they booed they got it got bad I'm never I've never been the one who want to chest highs fans for booing if you booing then that must be especially they're booing you at home that must mean you stink well I tell you the story about when we were down in was in Manion can we were hanging out and somebody said y'all need to be somewhere practicing that was the year you guys were like three and 13 yeah it's like you're man it's it is what it is so I mean for you to sit there say that's not what I expect that home I mean come on dog I mean you you play like that that's that's what happens also when you say all that it just makes the people worse so when you lose the next one they're going to boom more I mean this isn't rocket science is Tucker Tucker Tucker rocket science Tucker Crouch is not that hard Twitter question sponsored by the PI dental center your smile is the first thing I see when they meet you learn about in schedule your evaluation at PI dental center dot com pole

number one up today you Douglas had anything people voted are the fillies going to make the playoffs yes or no no no at 55% still at 55 pole number two up today does she Douglas have a husband no that's not actually up I made it up but it's yeah it'd be fun would you be surprised if you found out he does at a husband you better be surprised first vote mean no all right let's go back to the phone lines and then we'll have guests to take for week three in the NFL he was on a heater here let's go to Ron and Makka Ron what's up well time to talk with some you know it's just always when we're the most down with the fillies like the bad signal goes up for on well you know I was going through the line at the grocery store I saw you double this picture at all on the you know one of those rag things it's like could be a husband involved something yeah really really good I'm so I'm so happy I'm so happy yeah

trouble a little flicky yeah sure so anyway guys are you ready for are you ready for the funeral protection no but we might be following yeah do we have to come in here and with suits on on Monday if if this goes down bad we might have to wear suits Monday I gotta wear one this weekend mostly live it on come in your Monday with it go ahead let the screen are finally less into it oh shut up yeah so I like guys listen here's the thing here's the thing and in fact well okay this team tried twice and their five-year existence as this squad with all the you know those and whistles and the dropouts and the flunkies that we brought in here and the lack of

you know the minor league support and the minor league is that make her up a good to make it up here are barely hold long and they've always been barely hold long but but the thing of it is is usually really and I said this before oh before I get it to you know on opening day you were taking a poll okay how many words wrong how many words wrong how many words I would say 87 to 90 well you're gonna nail it wrong you're gonna nail it yeah I was at 91 and you were at 87 to 90 I was at 91 91 yeah but but you couldn't figure out how they could get to to 89 and 99 all right all right but regardless they need they need two more we know that well that's not to put the point is

well I'm trying to make is this team has been nothing but smoking mirrors this thing and this team is a hot dog vendor on the corner that's what it is hot dogs search T-shirts whatever that can't get me that's what this organization is and the big question is guys what you know when and who is going to go after this year to fix this mess and the mess is almost the possible effects with all these wrong contracts okay nobody wants these guys that we said the minute we sign a guy nobody wants him because we overpay for everything that we get and then they come over here they pull their pants down and guess what nobody wants them you and I said to you two years ago and nobody would

do it because they're making of course they're packing a stadium for you know for the poor unsuspecting you know well fan the fans are getting chisel deal and they have been so the big question is and you guys could be the first you know to get all top of it is what is going to happen next because they're not going to go and even if they do go to the playoffs please don't go to the playoffs please don't embarrass us any further in front of in front of our country okay because to me to me this thing's been done once they lost at home when they were up and could have wrapped it up with the debacks I'm like no you got to break this thing up yeah well that was their best shot run that was their best shot and they blew it and as far as what's going to happen I don't know but I'd move off of them brosky right away I mean he's got to go and the amount of bad money that he's

given out he should be I mean seriously we should he should we try for crimes Joe you're absolutely right but the problem is Joe you and I and maybe you and maybe even the screener knows that this question is going two years ago I know what does concept but the owner that's the problem he is a part of it hey you go yeah what you got man I got a big old boot dude daddy oh you're both you're both you're both daddy oh congratulations you're on you're on you're going now come on here come on you go you're afraid to get on the water now you'll be fine no you're already in the market where am I going to take you I'm going to take your mission all right we'll be fine our run the keep the off from standing off for we'd love to go I will go out the whole show will go on the boat we're on you to water now I thought I'll cost some flounder though before

yeah you know flatfish did you need it I don't know bottom feeders yeah you're all but I do like catfish yeah you spent all that time catching the flounder just to throw back yeah no I let I let it to the people that that was on the boat they can they all can have it okay I'll generous of you uh quickly here I guess we have herb in the northeast you as a quick message okay let me just grab him here herb what's out there I just the issue with the fillings why they haven't clinched okay this most of these guys that have been pitching like last night six and then you got it's it's it's his game to win or lose he's got to extend these kids into the seventh or eighth I mean it's it's it's a fact of life if you you got to keep them in there the boat pen is not whole the boat pen is blowing games I agree well I'll say this yeah you know maddenly tonight if he doesn't let Sanchez go seven the lightest will just hand over his

uniform go home Don let him go last two three the last two three weeks they they blew look at all the games that they blew and that's why they're not with her I've been telling you this all time this team this team is getting paid okay to be to be the division winner to be what what Milwaukee is right now that day day day they they just ruined ourselves all you know was an up and down year hopefully tonight tomorrow they can get this thing you know change you know turn around I just I just don't understand man you just you got to let these guys pitch it's good stop pulling the guy I I'm with you say Sanchez has to give the ball to me I blame the pitching coach I blame the coach catch you straight because he's going to he's going to maddenly like I said a week a

couple weeks ago maddenly hasn't been in there was only one year when he was with the Marlins did he had okay the chance he got in the playoffs yeah only one time the Dodgers yeah yeah but I'm not counting that he was with the Marlins for a long time and oh I'm gonna go through you know you gonna bring me something this time I got you man what you want I do I'm gonna tell you about the catfish go he's I got got what I tell you that when I took listen when I took three of the Eagles out to dinner in San Francisco you guys what catfish the one player ordered the one player ordered catfish we ate it this night down in fishermen's worth the famous 49er room I'd restaurant did you share the catfish you ate in that room have you ever been catfish true I don't I don't eat catfish that eating catfish are different things yes look different

yeah I don't eat just I don't I don't I don't I don't I'm not a fish you should try it catfish good good catfish is good hurried we preach the phone call on a play with me just rest her block right she got got two minutes that was that was much longer than a show yeah I mean come on we got don't we don't we don't we try to brutal hurt you try to duck guess the takes let's get to it here let's guess the taste for week three all right we guess what everyone's gonna be talking about after an NFL weekend week three start off last night with a big Douglas dog win all right after week three out I'll go first this week here you can now you can finish you go second or finish I think the take is we're sleeping on an all-time run in the NFL the Seattle is one twelve football games in a row that's not normal in the NFL and I think they're going to get to 13 pretty easily this weekend over the commanders with Matt Marcus Marriota 13 wins in a row that means they're bordering soon on like historical stuff Seattle is obviously really good again they're going to get to win number 13 people are going to start recognizing this you what do you got you know what's funny when you talk about historic streaks and stuff stuff like that the green bit packers

had their street broken last night that was a 13 home openers that they won straight and the Atlanta Falcons broke it so I'm gonna say don't sleep on the Atlanta Falcons this year I'll be willing to start buying it to the back I need one more win before I start buying it yeah you know it's I totally wrote them off as the first two weeks on me too yeah and I still don't think it's very good but they're not like bad bad bad but you know what they they might hang around a little while that division's also not good so they could all right that's solid they're defensive backs played really well last night and B. John is obviously told my agent rail wasn't yeah yeah what do you think Kyle guess take the NFC North is the Vikings division to lose we've been talking about the wrong teams all of season wow they're in Tampa this weekend point and have favorite in Tampa Kyler back in yep are they they playing are they playing the right quarterback feeling of well Carson was two and oh if we go on by quarterback wins that's what we do around here right yeah you know I'll double take Vikings are playing the wrong quarter best oh but they're going to win anyway I just came up with that all right like that all right coming up on the other side we'll get to your phone calls and you people I'm sure they have a lot to say about the fills

after last nights nonsense and the weekend to come we'll get to you people coming up right here on sports radio 94 W. do account find a way into the YouTube chat okay Fran Rojas w. I. P. Fran dropping some wild stuff in there so Fran better look out Fran we see you yeah either Fran or or someone impersonating Fran that's one of the why you would want to impersonate like yeah that makes me think it's Fran who's a person any Fran Rojas who are the WIP personnel that like you would at least want to impersonate Fran is one of them so jo there's a fake Jolly in there there is yeah there's a lot of fake WIP people in those chats jo like I can I can make sense of a jolly impersonate it's kind of funny but like what Fran what's the point of a Fran and very nondiscret man fire maddenly dumberousky and jo jo liel what jo do yeah I didn't have nothing to do with the toys collapsed joe's lumped in because he told people this team was different you know what I probably was drawing on that one guys hand up well you know what they might be different in the way that they just don't make it this time well you know what I like that spin I told you they were different they're going to die in the regular season this time Steve especially jo acts like he's an authority on all

things fillies I am that's simple on that yeah I didn't expect you to fight back I am I am cool this show led by Hugh Douglass told us all season this team was winning the world's series I know he did from day one and how do you feel now I feel pretty good pretty good we on the cusp we're making it to the playoffs on the cusp of death they can beat any team in a series they could also lose to any team yeah it's a strong opinion there yeah it's great uh Joe should be more nervous about his hair growing backs and the Eagles on Monday night what why would I be nervous about something that I've already ruled out I feel like you've given up that yeah that's like a full of players ruled out that's over they're not playing yeah I mean you you've come on home yeah there's no more nerves about it or worry this isn't new I'm very comfortable with this yeah we're locked in yeah the hair loss one yeah also I don't have to worry about my hair ever again you guys have that's a good point I just it's one thing each day that I don't got think about yeah how's the coldest act these days oh it's it's called a sack yeah you

know it like when it's low like this it looks like it grows all over yeah yeah when it gets a little longer than that's when it's like the fight is over so rap it's no fight left in the air so rap uh time and avid to wanted to tax in and point out that Hugh you guessed a take on a game that already happened and it's true like it's almost you don't want making progress yeah yeah we're getting better yeah you you kind of had confirmation by us on that you know they won yeah I did but it's like everybody's gonna be talking about it you know and and I was like because I didn't want to be all ego centric I was I was gonna say something about the Eagles but you know yeah it's like on the plate of Mondays it's like you turned on first take this morning yes that's the take hey yes you know what I'll use that one I guess that take stop giving Bryce Harper a pass you I would say the biggest Harper apologist here is Hugh and that's been for years I'm a politician I am yeah okay you know why you're good what you needed to say this morning was if they missed the playoffs he should be good at the trade them is that what I said you know you did say earlier you would rather trade Bryce Harper the Yankees then fire Rob Thompson I fed it you did

in April and then they fired Thompson two days later I did I did say that yeah we will think of the long long I did say that that's like a while ago how most clutch my pearls on that I say that but I did say that yep I did say well the Phillies are cooked but at least you got Joe a fruit bowl so fruit it it it makes it yeah you could put stuff in it cleans it yeah can't wait for this is my Saturday locked in here is Hugh trying to help Joe with tossing his salad that is just way too childish more Hugh has been talking glass of that wait someone someone's someone's get their salad tossed I know that gonna lose Douglas yeah a huge try to blame this earlier on the day of the week it's Friday yeah it always had you believe it digs on the day of the day it's a Friday man yep the only happens on Friday speaking of things for it's not the first time that it's happened

we had will in the northeast do this last year in October you yep and then he did his best to hide the Phillies on today and then so many letters in there that's on the long i'll tell you what E i E yeah that was yeah that was horrible oh my god just we are we well i guess that that either spurs them onto a good weekend or that's the death now right there that we can't even spell Phillies correct so we appreciate you will as always

do we have just a i'm about a minute here just quickly Dave and Bethlehem wants to talk about huge dating profiles so we can't ignore that Dave what's up oh so so Joe Gio jiggleo um i wonder if you got an announcement that surprised that you signed up huge to do to Akron half marathon really with you this weekend the Akron half marathon human i or do that is that a relay race or are we both running thirty last year really because i didn't know about this yeah if you could thirty point one because i think it's a way to get you to go running as a fundraiser of Ron that's like a bronc came here to Phillies because you guys negotiated to pin out he was a fundraiser from here you have for running thirteen point one miles but it's it's it's for well because i guess you have to because yeah because they're trying to help you with your dating you've got a great coach for you to train for running who's the coach so so based yeah based on you this is based on your hypothesis on your softball performance right so softball game you you said that you want to see moms there correct he did

okay and then after the game you said that you want to have a professional baseball player coach you which means you want a professional Olympic runner to coach you for running that makes sense sure okay and you also please mention that you dated a pentathe lead a woman's track runner in college right maybe are you listening to the show a lot yeah days are great listening yes yeah you nailed it right and then you also mentioned that you find a halibary what you call extremely attractive yes checks checks out okay so this all comes together to where he was going to run this for 13 miles this weekend it's great because he's going to have sitting McLaughlin of Roni as his coach okay all right you know because he just had a daughter in this July this July she had a daughter she's a limpian she's a basically a more muscular fit halibary with longer hair and he's married to Andre Livroney who was an NFL wide receiver which a cure a few of a thousand y'all a thousand y'all receivers syndrome we'll

look into this Dave good phone call what a way to end the week there oh I'm not looking into you you look into it we'll talk to you guys on Monday here are the thos going to play us yes guarantee it guaranteed it okay sis give me the scoop what I'm even up to living my best life I've been traveling working even hiking more and things to team mobile I'm connected for all of it really I need details I mean with America's best network I can pretty much go anywhere even when I'm off grid I'm still connected by satellite that's cool plus I get a limited texting and data brought so I'm all set for my trip to Greece I don't even need to do anything it'll just work when I get there that's it I gotta get team mobile I don't even get reception in my apartment this is why I'm mom's favorite so many reasons to join team mobile find yours at team mobile dot com best mobile network in the US based on analysis but who clues speed test intelligence data first half of 2026 with compatible device and most outdoor areas and select countries where you can see the sky included with experience beyond
