A Flexcar, we know podcast ads are annoying, but not as annoying as car salesmen. Ssssssssssssssss! Sine here please! Never talk to one again with Flexcar, the first and only month to month car lease. Sssssssssss! No! Submit to my extortion machine! Insurance and maintenance included. Switch cars any time! Switching Bronco to Camry to tell you ride willy-nilly. Oh no! Oh yes! Flexcar! I've everything! Hi, it's Marcus Allen, pro football Hall of Famer NFL MVP and Super Bowl Champion. I played football for a long time. One thing I've learned is nobody really knows what's going to happen next. Before the snap, you can study the defense, you can know the play, and you can see the opening. But eventually, you have to make a decision and go. For me, that was the fun of football. The moment between getting the ball and finding out where you made the right read, I loved it. And it's why I understand what Underdog brings the sports fans. Because once you make your pick, you're not just watching anymore.
Every snap matters, every yard matters, every decision matters. Everybody thinks they know what's coming next. Well, Underdog gives you somewhere to put that opinion into play. Pick them, money lines, totals, spreads, games and more across your favorite sports. So trust your read, make your call, and see what happens. Download Underdog and get in on the action today. Underdog, unleash your dog. Trading and false risk, including total loss on positions. Content is promotional and not a recommendation to trade, terms apply. The virtue. We got some more audio from the view, so you'll have to translate through all the chicken clocking. Oh, well, there's a lot of cast members on the view that I like to talk over each other for sure. Indeed. But this is going to be focused on something Sherry Shepard said. Yeah, Sherry yesterday was, you know, they cover all kinds of different stuff on the view. And she was talking about a friend of hers that's in an open marriage. And we've heard this before about open marriages, but I just think it is so fascinating that if you have an open marriage, so you're married to somebody, but you're allowed to be with
other people that there's still rules associated with that. So she was talking about her friends' rules and her open marriage. I know of someone who they have an agreement, her and her guy. She's not sure, right? Yeah, because she travels a lot. And so they have an agreement and they have these rules where she is letting him go and have a relationship, but it can't be, you know, she's got a specific set of rules for him. Like a handbook? Well, like he cannot, he cannot, they cannot go out on a date. They can't go to dinner. It can't be a relationship. It can't be a relationship. She can't kiss her. Now, I go, how do you know what he's doing? It was like pretty woman, no kissing, but sex or whatever. No, no kissing. Now, and this one also, she's got rules. She says he can't spoon the women that he goes with. Imagine he's like, hang on a minute. I don't know if this is in rule number 19. We can't spoon. I don't know. He can't spoon. When you spoon your woman is very intimate and you hold them. When he's trying not to pull off the bed. I'm never thought Spooning was that, but I don't know, you know, for her, this girl,
I know it is working for them. Yeah, I guess it's working for them. So no kissing and no spooning. I'm just curious if we can find out from virtual listeners who are in open marriages. If they find you. What are your rules? Yeah, what are your rules? Like what rules do you live inside of them? We've got the voices, guys or two. We can change your name. Nobody knows who you are. Telephone numbers, 877-588-Burt-877-588-B-E-R-T. The kissing I would assume is valid because that's a personal face-to-face thing. But how do you separate them? Well, I'm just curious. If the guy is going to go hook up with somebody on the side, does that side person have to know that he's married? Would that be another rule? Because if you didn't know that the guy was married, you would think it was weird if he didn't kiss you. Right. In the beginning, anyways. Like he wanted to go all the way with you, but wouldn't kiss you? You'd be like, what? I don't even think you could get into that without kissing in the first place unless you knew. So he would have to tell the other woman, hey, I can do this, but here's the rules.
And here's the parameters of the whole thing. I just wonder what those other rules are. 877-588-B-E-R-T. The spooning thing, that's another like intimate personal type thing. It's a nuggly thing. Like you can't sell over somebody. Like I say that out loud and I'm like, okay, well that's why they do it because it's intimate and it's personal, but so is doing the same thing. No, no one to do and do. I can't think of anything else more intimate and personal than that. No. Spooning is nothing. That's easy. I'm just an awe of open relationships in general. I don't understand it. I can't separate anything any of that. I'm beat too jealous. Yeah, I'd want to go killer. But it works for some people. Well, it could be like what if the guy has a huge sex drive and the woman doesn't or vice versa? And you're meant to be together. Yeah. You think? Maybe it. Yeah. I mean, you get to find somebody. Maybe a friend. I don't know. And I also wonder like how do you monitor those rules? Well, that's where you get a trust.
But that's where you get a trust to cheat. You're not cheating. It's not if you're in the open marriage rules for it to apply and for it to work. Right. So I just, I don't know. I just, I'm confused on how, how you monitor that. How do you hold yourself to that? Open marriage or not. It's still cheating. Voice Disguiser. Let's talk to it. No, it's not cheating. It's not if they know about it. If both people know about it, if it's permission, permission is given. If you and Johnny are dating and Johnny O says to you, when do you can go hang out with any guy you want? It's not cheating because he knows about it. That's a weird reference. Hey Sue, you're the voice Disguiser. Hi. Hi. How are you? I'm good. How are you? Good. Thank you. I have a friend. He is a, he's a best friend and he and his wife have an open relationship and they both participated in different things. I was actually the girl that the husband had a thing with but it just turned into more
between he and we're actually, he's actually, I don't know, thinking about leaving his wife now because of all of this. It definitely turned into a sticky situation. So the open marriage is now turning a relationship for you. Now does the wife still know about you? He does, he does now. He started trying to play it off but he and I were just really good friends and we were just like best friends and hanging out and stuff like that all the time because he couldn't stand to not be around me anymore. I mean he just, I don't know, it turned into just a one-time thing and then he just kept coming back and so now we're going to have a relationship. So your opinion would be that open marriages don't follow those rules even if they have rules safe for themselves. They absolutely do not. Okay. So if, I had to just have one more question for Sue. If you end up with this guy and you marry him, would you guys have an open relationship?
Absolutely not. Yes, I don't think that would ever come to that because obviously I see how, you know, how he is but no, absolutely not. Gotcha, I think that's smart. You just can't help, feelings end up getting involved and you just, you just can't help stuff like that so it's absolutely not a good idea. Hey and welcome to the bird show. You're also on the voice discizer. Hi, I'm on your guy's show. I was going to be in the morning. Thank you. I just wanted to say that I've been married for about four or a year. Okay. I think it's four years. I don't even remember. I don't know. I don't know if it's the, it keeps counting stuff. It sounds like you're happy or unmarried. Well, I mean, we let this, it is an open marriage but it's like we have rules. Okay. And it works for both of us pretty well. I mean, we started it about two years ago. Okay. And there is no kissing rule. There is a rule that they have to know that we're married but there is no, like we can't talk on the phone with our person on the side.
We're not in like, it's really where his, he won't, he says that's not allowed to, like not allowed to, can't, to, can't, to, to work. You're, your phone's totally breaking up. Are you still there? Yes. Give us the, give us the rules again. Not allowed to, Graves. Graves. Graves. Graves. Graves. Graves. Graves. Graves. Graves. Brendan, Graves. Graves. Graves. Graves. Graves. Graves. Graves. Graves. Graves. Graves. Graves. Yes. Graves. Graves. Graves. which is really weird, but there is, you know,
if we do have sex with the other person, then we have to get tested. Okay. There is no, like, stuff, like there is no relationship. It's really weird. And my rule for him is like, he's not allowed to. Okay, so if he does sleep with someone else, he has to get tested before the two of you sleep together again. Yeah. Okay. Got it. Wow, that's weird. And you don't get jealous. I mean, I get jealous if it's somebody that, like, I mean, I have to see a picture of that and he has to see the pictures of the other people and they have to know that we're married. See, that's torture right there, the picture training. I wouldn't want to know. I wouldn't want to know as long as it's somebody that I don't know, then it's fine. Hey, Lindsay, hold on, because I think, or Anne hold on, I think Lindsay has a question for you. Hey, Lindsay. Yeah, I was just actually curious if this whole open marriage thing started because of infidelity.
Like, so somebody cheated and then, they decided to go with it. They decided to open. Well, actually, it was really weird because like our relationship, like, we got married really young. And it was, we were only dating for three months and then we got married and then it was just kind of, we jumped into it and then we started getting bored. And so we went to like, a swing thing, like, you know, a couple, like other married couples. So you're trying to... It's a gay gay drug. Part of it? The gateway drug to an open marriage. Yeah. Is this a swing party? Yeah. Like, just to see if like, you know, if we... Who suggested... It's our relationship is perfect. Who suggested that? Like, who's the one to bring up going to a swingers club? It was actually our therapist. Really? Yeah, she said, well, why don't you guys experiment with something different? If you guys are happy, you know, if you guys... If you get intimacy level at home is not very well, maybe you guys are just horrible. Wow.
So she suggested it. Now, is this something that's sort of a temporary sort of fix to get you guys unbored in your marriage and, you know, get you back to normal and then you'll be monogamous again? Or do you feel like you'll see with other people for the rest of your lives? Um, I mean, I don't. I'm... I'm still young. So I mean, I'm not... That's the point where I'm like, oh yeah, like I'm ready for children. Like, we both agree that once we want to have children, this whole thing will stop. Okay. Can it stop? Yeah. I mean, honestly, it's not one... It's really weird the way that it started because we're both really emotional people. Like, really passionate and stuff, but we can tell that there's something missing. Okay. And whether it's a child or like we want... We got a dog and like... That just gets stressful. We got a dog and that didn't work out, so we started swinging. Yeah, so it's getting out of people. Hey, it's fascinating to me. It's fascinating that you're able to stay so healthy with it
and be able to talk and communicate through it and because it's really changing everything you grew up thinking about. Uh-huh, totally. You know, it's changing your mind. Yeah, I mean, but like, it's also one of those things like, that's so that we have to get tested and we're not allowed to be slipping one more than... Like, besides each other, we're not allowed to be slipping one more than one person. And you trust him on that? So there's only one additional person on the outside. Yeah. Hang on. I have to trust him on that. And Stacey has questions actually for you because she's trying to talk her husband into this. Really? Hey, Stacey. Hi, yeah, I want to name a first therapist. Oh. We can give that to you off the air. Why are you trying to talk your husband? Well, I don't necessarily want to see anybody else, but I would like for him to. He wants a lot more than what I can offer him, having kids and just full-time schedule. And I think he'd be a lot happier if... I mean, I just think he'd be a lot happier if he had a girlfriend. Really?
So you want him to sleep with somebody else? Yes, please. And have you tried him this yet? I've suggested him for a little while. Maybe a couple of years, especially when we're having problems in the mayors and everything. I'm just so exhausted by the end of the day. Then I just think that if he had somebody else that wanted... He's very, very... I don't know, cuddly. He likes to cuddly, like to touch. And I'm just... I just don't have the time and the patience for it right now. I just, you know, I'm about two kids. I've got a lot of my play. And I think if he had somebody to show that attention to and get the attention back, that he'd be a lot happier and a lot less stress. Don't you think he could eventually leave you for that person? That would be okay, too. Oh. Oh, okay. So you... Yeah, why don't you divorce him then? It's just not that easy. I mean, it isn't. If he wanted a full time somebody on the side, that would be fine. Why is divorce not that easy?
Because it's expensive. It was exactly expensive. Yeah. So what if it makes things better? What if it gives me the space that I need for a little while and makes things better? Wow. Well, that's One more thing. Now, you know what I mean? I know that it was expensive, but I'mgering a lot of emotional issues. I think if Daddy came home happy the day that, well... the kids don't need to know what's making them happy. Oh, wow. But if it ultimately ends in the forest and that's what you want in the long run, why even drag it on even further giving him another partner? This is an interesting logic. And I think that's why a lot of people do open marriages. It's a way to comfortably explore other options without in name what you have in your life. Well, and who knows if it made it better than you'd be glad that you went with that decision rather than going through with the divorce. If somehow it improved it, like if he was with somebody else sort of like got some needs met but then realized that he didn't want that he wants you. Or you realize that maybe you missed that attention.
Like maybe it would be good for you to be jealous of someone else. Exactly. I mean, is it the thrill of the chase? Isn't that why you go out and do things like that is nutty. I never thought about that but that's fascinating. Brilliant. I mean, put a little bit of thought back into your life and make it worse, you know, make it what are you make it what you want to what beautiful when your husband comes home because now he's got the attention of another woman. Well, you should want to anyways but explain this to your children when when daddy's not home or when daddy's not cuddling mom when daddy's so. They don't have to know they don't know any of this. They know how he has a very stressful, you know, my power job. They totally know the attention. They don't know what they're talking about. They don't know what they're talking about. But what she's saying is there wouldn't be tension. They're totally is right now anyways. But she's saying this would alleviate the tension. They're saying it in my way is the tension. It would relieve a lot of issues. It doesn't have to be with that person all the time. He, you know, he'll definitely want to keep time with his kids. I'm so curious about this. So have you brought this up to him at all? Have you talked to him about it? I try to but he is very very, I don't know.
He thinks like he knows I'm not kidding but he just doesn't want to pursue it any further. I don't want to see anybody else. Like I said, I don't have the time or the patience or the want right now. I mean, anybody that has two small kids, I mean could probably blow up your phone lines with please get my husband off my back for a little while. Well, I can guarantee that we'll be asking that question next week when we have a lot more time to take the calls. I mean, I promise you. This is from the past. I mean, I mean, they do everything when the husbands that work and they just don't want to do anything once they come home. I mean, if I could just get an hour for myself at night without my husband trying to crawl in my pants, it would be nice. I mean, I just want to sit there once my kids go to bed and not have to hear, honey, honey, when are we going to go to bed? Are you ready to go to bed? No, I'm not ready to go to bed. Leave me alone. You know, I'm going to go find a girlfriend. I mean, amazing. Oh, wow. Not the only one that thinks like this. There's a lot of women out there that think like this. There's a lot of stress. They at home moms that just can't take anymore and they're going to have a mental
breakdown if the husbands don't leave them alive and they wish they'd go find a girlfriend. I say get a hobby and then have some time to yourself. Well, bet mean, but like a different. Yeah. Like, yeah, no, you need to go to something before you go. I mean, I'm not giving them what he wants. The most annoying physically. So why do why maybe if you have a hobby, go do something for a little bit and then maybe you'll be mad at her. I'm fascinated. I just want to get into her, her headspace here because what she's trying to do is make herself more attracted to her husband by her husband going out and getting a girlfriend. No, she is. She's unhappy. She's unhappy that she never gets any time to herself. And then when she does, it's with her husband. Well, she needs to take that hour of time. Go do something for herself. Then come back and she'll be a happier person by making him happy. He's not going to make you happy. But she just don't want him touching her nose. She just needs to pray. She's got to make it to me. I am just fascinated. I want to talk to her again. Yeah, we definitely are going to revisit this next week. It's good stuff right there. Is she still on?
Uh-huh. Will you come back on with us? Oh, no, she's not. I now cars getting a number. Oh, cars getting a number. Yeah, I don't know why. I didn't ask him to, but he's like, I got a talk to this girl and get to know her. Yeah, all right. The virtue. Go. We've actually done a couple of love lost and founds related to the Jersey Shore Party. When you put it out there on Monday, the Chew Meta Boy at the Jersey Shore Party, didn't really approach him because there's a lot of weirdness. Didn't know if he was with the girl that he was there with, if they were just friends,
or if they're dating or what their situation was, there's a little awkwardness there. She talked about that earlier in the week and we put a crappy picture of him up online, but a picture nonetheless. I thought a better one, so I said that one. Did you know? Okay, so we'll have a better picture of him up online. So we're hoping to hear back from this guy. We thought that would be easy. We thought it'd be a slam dunk. No, yes. Because it's our party, right? Of course. So we thought we know who this guy was right away. It didn't happen. So we gave it another shot a couple of days later with a friend lost and found. Who's on hold, Tracy? Is this Tabitha? Yes, Tabitha. Hey, Tabitha, welcome back to the show. Hello, guys. How are you? Good. Good. Well, we put Tabitha on the air a couple of days ago because she went to the Jersey Shore Party and she went to the after party that was held at Club Opera and connected with a girl. Her name is Christina, but everybody called her Nina, right?
They Nina fit in right with their girl friend group and everything was cool. But then she had to bolt because she had to take Marda home and nobody got contact information for her. But they were just like, God, she's really cool. She's kind of new to town and we, she fit right in with us. So let's get our information so we can all hang out again. So we did a friend lost and found. And unfortunately, we have been able to find Nina. Come on. But Tracy got an interesting email yesterday that is going to tie these two stories together. Okay. Yeah, it was a little weird because just like with the Wendy situation, Tabitha put a picture, you know, send us a picture and we put it on our website of Tabitha with Nina. And we have Jerry, a picture or you said his name was Jerry. Jerry or Gary. Jerry or Gary, a picture of him online also talking to some girl. Well, listener emailed me and said it looks like the picture with Tabitha and Nina that one of the girls is the same girl talking to Jerry.
So it turns out that the girl you thought Jerry was with all night is Tabitha, our listener who we're doing friend lost and found for that's on the phone right now. Oh, that's hilarious. Weird connection. Small world. So I'm that girl. Unfortunately, that girl. That girl. So tell us the relationship then between you and Jerry Gary. The first of all, do you know his real name? It's Jerry. Okay. So you were right. But Jerry Gary, so what's this? Jerry Gary. Funny person last name. Is Jerry Gary your boyfriend? No. Did you just meet him that night? Yeah, we just met. Same thing with kind of like Nina, she was by herself and we noticed he was by himself. So I just kind of friend of him saying, hey, you want to hang out? I like the way you keep saying that. You're like Tabitha, you're like a real life Facebook. Like he's friend everyone. Yeah, you're like, so I went over to him and I gave him a friend request. And a super poke. Yeah, I poked him and said and said, and gave him a friend request.
And so then I walked up to him and I said, Tabitha, we'd like to be friends with you. Do you want to be friends with Tabitha? And they both accepted. And he hit accept and then came over and hung out with us. So what's Jerry like? Is he cool guy? Yeah, he's pretty cool. And we talked a lot. He actually was from out of town. So it was the only night there. And that's the reason. Does he come to Atlanta often? Not that I'm aware of. He was one of those one time deals. What was Jerry Gary in time for? Um, he actually had met someone in North Carolina to drop off his kid. So he's all grown up and whatnot with children. Yeah, it's a single guy. Yeah, okay. Is that impact you? Because Wendy, if Bert were here, I'm going to speak, you know, Bert's out at the radio convention, but I'm going to channel him. It's destiny. But he would, if he was, well, the fact that he,
that Tabitha was in the Tabitha called us to find the girlfriend. And she's the same girl that was in the picture of Jerry. And they're a listener put this together. Now, I'm only going to say it once. Bert would say it's so many times that we'd want to shake him. But he would argue that it's destiny that Tabitha came on the show after you did and the Tabitha was friends with the guy that you want to meet. Jerry Gary. Jerry Gary. Tabitha, do you have any contact information for Jerry Gary? I do. I would like to ask permission, I guess, before I give it. Why? Because you want it for yourself. Would you like to take Jerry? Oh, no, no. No, not like that. I just don't want to maybe like upset that I'm giving out his numbers. I'm thinking. That makes sense. I would ask permission. Is that anything that you would even be interested in, Wendy? Yeah, absolutely. If he's a student. Where does he live? He lives in North Carolina. No, he met somebody there. He actually is in the army. He's in stationed in Alabama.
I don't know what base, but it's four hours away, I think. He said. So he had to drive his kids to North Carolina to be with their mother. I'm assuming, or family. And then he was coming back through Atlanta. Saw the Jersey Shore party. New Wendy was there. It was destiny. Probably saw her from a distance and said, I got to go meet her. Yeah. Okay. So does Jerry Gary know that we're looking for him yet? Um, I told him he was real popular with the ladies in Atlanta. And what did he say? He was like, well, what are you talking about? I didn't talk to anyone but you. And I said, I don't know. I thought you did something. Can you give him a call over the next couple days and see if it would be cool to pass his phone number along to Wendy? Sure. Okay. And I'm just a flight like I can see skepticism on the faces in this room, but I'm trying to be I am trying to be birthed. I'm trying to say there's a reason that all of this happened. But it would be proud of this romantic stance that I'm taking, right? Wouldn't it be? Yeah.
Why are you all looking at me like that? It's a little bit of a stretch. I'll give it to you. It's a little bit of a stretch. Did the kid thing turn you off? Yeah. Be honest. Yeah. So should we not even get his number? You can say, yeah, and he lives far away. That would, that would be a lot of fun. You don't want it? No, it's fine. Yeah, I don't. So you just want to go back to the little dark room and have guys go up your shirt when you can't see him. I let's be petted in the dark. The first show. Hi, it's Marcus Allen, pro football Hall of Famer, NFL and DP and Super Bowl champion. I played football for a long time. One thing I've learned is nobody really knows what's going to happen next. Love the show, guys. Love the show.
Thank you. We try hard every day. No, I just have a question. I'm just an average guy. I'm an airline pilot. I'm based out of Atlanta, but I'm all over the place. And I had time to call this morning because I'm actually 26 in line to take off here at Atlanta, heading out to Vegas. And the question was, how is a guy like myself that an average guy ended up approaching a lady like Wendy with her status quo and her background and her fame with radio and everything? How would an average guy approach her and not look stupid? A status quo. That's why I don't, I guess I don't ever see that when I'm out. I don't know. I just, a simple high. To be honest with you, if Wendy's listening, I've been to a couple of events in the Atlanta area where I've actually seen her in the nightclubs and was afraid to approach her because I'm just an average guy. I mean, I'm not the, you know, John Wayne best look and fella. I'm just an average man, makes a living, flying over you guys every day.
Bringing people back to home and it's just, you know, how would an, how would it, you know, how would you approach a woman with her status? Well, I think it could start with it. You could be politely like it. You would approach anyone. If I were you, I would just tape a buddy pass to my shirt. It is what I'm doing. I want to be friends, click here. Yeah. No, Steven, wouldn't you just approach Wendy like you would approach anyone else and just say, you're really beautiful. You know, offered to buy your drink or hi, my name is Steven or whatever. Oh, wait a minute. Was she, you're really beautiful? Isn't that a little intense for someone? Yeah, I should have like every pick up line in Atlanta. Well, something simple, rather than like a cheesy line that doesn't mean. I'm sure she's heard it all though. That's the thing. Well, you don't have to give her a line. Right. You could just be yourself, right? Say, hey, I'm so and so. Okay, well, you know, Hey, Steve, how's it going? I tried that. Don't work. There's one so one time though. A lady finds out your a pilot.
She's like, oh, you're never around. You're, you're always gone. It's like, well, you know, it's my job. We have to make up another occupation, like. I think I'm a janitor. Yeah. I'm a, I'm a name's like, fine in and out. It's my job. Well, it's just, I just, if she's listening, what, what would you rather have a guy come up to you and say, not the average pick up line like, hey, my name's so and so, uh, you know, the best thing I've seen all day and, you know, with this, um, What would you like to hear? Would this, Wendy, let me ask you this. Would, would a, would a, would a pick up line, would a good pick up line be, can you tell me what a good pick up line to use on you is? Like asking that question. Is that cute? Funny? GZ? No. No. No. That's my, I mean, how about, my name is Steven and I'm a pilot. All guys really need to do is just introduce themselves and say, hey, I'm so and so, just like you sit there, so you cross the way and that's all it takes. I mean, Approaches that you guys, I'm just good.
Like if a guy just approaches in general, I mean, I'm not going to put out a negative response or say, why are you approaching me? No, it's like flattery from anybody. If you, out of the, the guys that approach, uh, women, probably applies more to Wendy, but gen 2, the guys that are approaching you, mm-hmm, percentage wise, you know, who are approaching you for romantic purposes? Percentage wise, how many use a line? Oh, like is it more than half? I don't know if it's necessary a line or they just try to be over the top. It's usually about 50 percent, I think, because guys that would be intimidated like Steven is, like, usually get too drunk before they approach you and then they use lines because they think it's a good idea. But they only think it's a good idea because they're drunk. They're hammered. Hey, Shawna, welcome to the birchah. Hey, I wanted to say to him, if just because she looks like she may be above average, she might not be so hard to talk to.
Yeah, I don't necessarily think I'm a tough person to come up and talk to. I usually try to put out a good vibe when I go out and just think- You're really, you're really intimidating. I don't even think- Well, I think it's funny. Completely egotistical and snotty. It's the way you're in the VIP booth drinking champagne out of the bottle. Throw my dollar bills all around to the prairie. Snapping at the waitstaff. Just not very friendly person at all. I think Shawna though the challenges guys don't know that. Exactly. That's the problem I have sometimes. I don't look for the hottest guy ever and I look good. I mean, I'm not conceited or anything, but I know that I can go out there and guys might be intimidated, but actually I would prefer someone who doesn't think that they're prettier than me because I'm down to earth and it's better if I have someone one average side. And you want to be the best looking one in a relationship? Talk to them. Hey, David, welcome to the birch out.
Good morning guys, love your show. Love you too. Thank you, sir. How are you? I'm doing all right, man. Just to say you know Wendy, this is Steven's Intervertive Wave asking you out and heading on you. You didn't get that. He's going to call you at work and say, you know, how would you like to be a brushing? So good call, David. Well, in pilot terms, I believe that's a crash and burn. He should have ejected a long time ago because he, I don't even think he realized he was talking to Wendy at the time. No, he didn't. He was just getting ready for takeoff. He didn't know. Yeah. He was getting ready for takeoff and skidded off the runway before he even got there. Well, he's really, he was really flying a plane right there. I was kind of nervous for the passengers. Right. What if his microphone was on and he was reporting that to the whole passengers? The whole cabin. The whole cabin. Hi. Hi, first show. Thanks for the call, David. Thanks for listening. All right. Thanks, guys. You're on the virtue. Patrick here is from Drafton Taft, man. What's going on, dude? How's it going? It's going great. How are you? Pretty good. Pretty good. Drafton Taft has been a tremendous, tremendous supporter of Burt's Big Adventure
the last couple of years. Burt's Big Adventure, if you don't know, is the trip that we take down to Disney World every year. And we take kids that have chronic and terminal illnesses. And we bring them on down to Disney World. And we just get them away from hospitals and doctors. And we pay for everything. And we do it top notch all the way. Absolutely. We take the entire family because everybody in that family is affected by the illness. And we just feel like they need the chance to all get away together. Go to the most magical place on earth and just make those memories that are going to last a lifetime together. It's such a special trip. And it wouldn't be possible without the listeners and the delicious donations. And also donations from people like the guys on Drafton Taft. And big old parties like Drafton Taft. For those that don't know what Drafton Taft is, give them a little bit of the history and where you guys are today. Because this thing has grown a lot the last couple of years. Yeah, it's been cool to watch it grow over the last 10 years. Because when we really really started, it was just two groups of guys that lived in neighboring houses that lived right off Tastrate. And we were like, well, let's put together a party and invite all our friends.
And I think the first party we had, we had probably like 300 people. They came out like, oh, wow. This is great. This is fantastic. And then over the course of the years, things started affecting us. We had one of our friends had to stick the cancer. Some one of the members of that originally started Drafton Taft had a heart condition. So we started creating this more as a fundraiser. And then as time grew over, we've increased the attendance. Now we're up to over 3000 people that come. One of the biggest things that we like to say is we go through about 170 kegs in about seven hours. Wow. Yeah. I have witnessed this. You've been a part of it. I've been a part of it. I couldn't go this year, but last year I have witnessed this. And it is quite a feat. How many would you go through if Furt wasn't there? One of the things that really impresses me is that once you probably figure out where the money is going, we went to the kickoff party the last couple of years. For Burt's Big Adventure. For Burt's Big Adventure. And it is really fantastic. And it really drops home the point of actually giving the money back
what we put all our effort into. Seeing the kids that come in on Limos, you guys are giving DVD players. There's, I took some videos of a little dance room. There's magicians, Cinderella's. Those limos aren't donated. We just take really rich kids. We've decided to go completely never out. It is. This is the point that he's making. It's everything is top. And so, I mean, we could skimp on the whole thing. And we could do it, you know, sort of bottom shelf. But we go all out, you know. Cooper gives us that limo that you're talking about. And we do put DVDs in there. And that takes a lot of money. So when draft on Taft, a party like this comes to us and says, look, every year we donate to a certain charity. And we'd like it to be you guys this year. We jump for joy. And jump for joy. Yeah. That's a new one. And they raised a ton of cash for us last year. And they gave all, they're giving all the money for Berksbygadventure this year as well. That's correct. Berksbyg, well, there's a certain donation
that we give back to the Mentale Neighbors Association just for letting us have the event in their neighborhood just to be good neighbors. But I'm 100% of the proceeds go to Berksbygadventure. So that's really nice. That's really nice. And it's not only the work from all the guys that helped do it, but it's the sponsors, just like you guys have sponsors for Berksbygadventure, we do too. And it's people like Budweiser and Tin Lizzie and Moes and Chains are the ones that help us really put the event together. Yeah, this is an event where you walk in the door there and everything's taken care of. You pay at the door and then the Budweiser is flowing all day long. Yep, leave your wallet at home. So how'd you guys do this year? This year was good. We're pretty excited to be donating $20,000 to Berksbygadventure. Wow. Fantastic. That's incredible. That's more than incredible. That's more than incredible. A $20,000 check for Berksbygadventure goes a really long way because we only take like 12 or 13 families. So a $20,000 check for our organization, it's probably four families worth or something like that. It's fantastic.
So thanks a lot, man. You guys have been so good to us over the years. And it's a great party. And I urge you to go next year and check it out. Yeah, we're going to work with you guys next year. It's every year in the springtime, right? Yeah, we usually do it the weekend after Memorial Day. OK, I'm came. Gotcha. And it's just, if you think you're just going to dabble in this party, if you're going to go for an hour and a half, you can forget about that. It's something you have to train for. Like all year long, you've got to practice your bar crawls and all that stuff before you get a draft on Taft. So will it be in the same place next year? Same place. Right across from Pima Park on 10th and Charles Allen between 10th and 8th Street. OK, great. So we'll put all the information up online. And again, thanks to all the dudes that you always bring with you. Thanks guys. Every year from draft on Taft and a $20,000 check for Birch Big Adventure. It's a great reason to go on party. Yeah, totally. All right. And if you want more information on Birch Big Adventure, also, we can always use cash. It doesn't have to be $20,000. That's nice. That's really nice. But we need kids too. So if you think you know a kid that qualifies for Birch Big Adventure, just send them to thebirchso.com or BirchBigAdventure.org.

Well, Jennifer was kind of interested in Johnny O. Yeah. Okay. We're gonna have for everybody who Jennifer is. Jennifer is Nicole's best friend and they both called us up because Nicole's got 30 days to find Jennifer a brand new guy because Jennifer was in this relationship with what
we call the dating antichrist because she kept going back and forth with this guy. He would cheat on her and then come back to her. He would treat her bad and then come back to her. Even now he's trying to come back to her while he has another girlfriend and she this guy is a cryptonite. She can't tell him no. We've been calling him Brett, right? So Jennifer is just in this back and forth, back and forth with Brett and Nicole's her best friend knows the Brett's bad for her and just wants her to move on. So we said that we would help Nicole for 30 days to try to find Jennifer a new guy so that she can move on. And if we do that, Jennifer Vows never to talk to Brett ever again. And if we don't do that, then Nicole Vows never to badger Jennifer about this relationship ever again. So no matter how many times she goes back to the dating antichrist and Nicole Vows, they will say, well, I tried for 30 days and I couldn't find anybody. So I'll just shut up about it. Right. So she and Johnny Overs supposed to go out this weekend. Does that sound about right? They were. They did. Because I had an event last Wednesday where Jennifer got to meet Johnny O because me and Johnny O were both being dated.
So they had a conversation in the dark because the event was dating in the dark. So you couldn't see the person you were talking to. So Johnny O and Jennifer were in a dark room. They got to talk to each other and Jennifer really liked what Johnny O, I guess, had to say more what he felt like. That's what that's called dating in the dark. You're not far off. You're dating in the dark is the innocent term. That sounds like a great concept for a bar, but it would only last about a day before there'd be so many lawsuits. Yes. But Jennifer got all like her voice is all high pitched. She's like cutie and flirty when she started talking about Johnny O. She wanted to meet up with Johnny O. And for those of you that don't know Johnny O, he's a personality at the radio station also. Well, he's here to check in, but Jennifer didn't show. Oh, no. No. No. No. No. No. Johnny O, what's going on, man? Yeah, I spent the weekend nursing my ego. Oh. Oh, I don't know. Don't tell me she stood you up. So not only did she, I didn't mean that she stood you up for the weekend.
I meant she stood you up for this call. She didn't show up at all this weekend. Yeah, no. I, she just never returned a call. But what I believe happened is that she was having pool time with friends and she dropped her pool in their phone in the pool. So, right. Right. In my head. That's why she never returned the call. Oh, no. No. Are you sure that she didn't leave it on the roof of her car and drive away? Is that why she didn't return the call? Well, that could be it. Right. So Tracy was saying that she'd been trying to get in touch with Jennifer all morning long. It's just going to voicemail. So she must know she's in trouble. Oh, that's not true. Oh, that's not true. So you were expecting to talk to, you gave her a call like what Thursday or Friday afternoon or something? Yeah, it was actually early Saturday. I didn't get to Friday. And so I just left her voicemail and said, you know, I'm freed the entire weekend, whatever works for you. Just give me a buzz, love some fun and never, never heard back from our. She scared. That's so comfortable. She is so comfortable in this old bad relationship that she's scared to go on a date with a really
nice guy. Like a really, you know, cool guy who was calling her straight up say, let's go on a date. Organia. That's so uncool though, not even a shoot a text saying, hey, I just don't have time this weekend or nothing. Come on. Yeah. Don't be a girl, be a woman. I think Jen's right. Maybe she's still so wrapped up in date and antichrist when something legit comes around. Maybe she's not into it. She's afraid of it. It's a liar. Yeah. That puts us in an awkward place too, because you know, as the middle person that's set two people up when one bails, you feel like the idiot because you think you're bringing two quality people together. There's Wendy's idea. And Johnny O is a bachelor. I mean, he's got these. He's got things going on. Yeah, man. He's not going to be slowed down. Absolutely. Oh, yeah. I mean, I kept looking at my phone the whole weekend going, okay, well, maybe I just missed the call. And then I'm like, checking it. And I'm like, well, what is going on? That's jacked up. When I did it with her Saturday night, she was all in the colony. I thought I assumed she had. Oh, she was down into whirlings with me. Well, I'm sorry, dude. I mean, I guess we'll get her on over the next couple of days unless she's just done
with us and didn't tell us. Maybe she'll work up with us. And we don't know. Well, we won't, we won't put you through it again though. You know, you can't match make your same friends twice. Yeah, it was doing great concept. I'm sorry. Sorry. All right. We'll find out why. All right. I think she bailed on us. Look, I think she's done with the bit. It was only two weeks. Yeah. I don't think she gave it. Not even. Yeah. So now that means her friend has a start giving her crap. No. No. That means she bailed on the whole thing. So Nicole can give her as much crap as she wants. I don't. She's a very well-invoiced. Yeah. Yeah. Well, we got, we got some recon that the friend might not be as into it as she portrays on the air. No, her friends weigh into it. She was just more shy. We wanted her to be a more bold wing woman. She was just a little shy and the Jersey Shore party. Got it. All right, Johnny. Either way, sorry, man. We wasted your time. No, not at all. All right. You can stop. You can stop looking at your phone. Unless you want to, you want us to give your number out on the air? Yeah. Absolutely. Yeah.
See you, Johnny. I'm kidding. Take care, man. Well, that's disappointing. Yeah. You said you can't do that as an adult. Maybe just can't, maybe the lesson here is that you just can't set up the person that's not entirely ready just to be done with the dating and cyclist. But you said you said you said you wanted to weigh into it. She sounded so excited about it. She also told us that she was ready to move on from this guy. So maybe not. All right. Obviously not. Ball number. Disappointing. It's the virtue. I, as Marcus Allen, pro football Hall of Famer NFL MVP and Super Bowl champion. I played football for a long time. One thing I've learned is nobody really knows what's going to happen next. Before the snap, you can study the defense, you can know the play, and you can see the opening. But eventually, you have to make a decision and go. For me, that was the fun of football. The moment between getting the ball and finding out whether you made the right read, I loved it. And it's why I understand what Underdog brings the sports fans. Once you make your pick, you're not just watching anymore.
