Welcome everyone, I know what happened there. Buttons not working, welcome. It is Wednesday, the 23rd of September. Great to have you with us on the McAfee menu. Try McAfee's new drink range. Here we McClugge is going to join us. Well, we're loaded today. Brisbane Lions co-captain, Timmy Gossage. Sossage, you're made. Huh. What's in versus Gossage this morning in the studio? Duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, that's on the swing. I'll play along with it. It is on the swing. It's on like Donkey Kong, that's what it is. He called him a coward. He came back and gave you one round the years. He said, get me in the studio. So he's coming in, free hour on the march, Mickey Barlow. He was part of the 2013 Grand Final Team. Andrew Russell, well on the Wednesday. How much did that preliminary final take out of those two teams? Questions without notice as well. So great to have you with us. Good morning to you. Good morning to everybody out there too. What a great morning it is to be here, Grand Final week.

How did Yucky Neil go last night? Yucky Neil. I heard somebody call him Yucky Neil yesterday. That's a bit harsh. That is a bit harsh. Well that's what I said to the person who called him. Yeah, yeah. What do you talk about? You've never spoken about football in your life. As it stands right now, he will not be playing in the AFL brand final on Saturday. He's got an avenue of appeal, which I'm sure that the Brisbane Lions will take up. So it is not over. Right now he's out. You'll get there. You'll get there. You reckon? Yep, you'll get there on appeal. You'll get there on appeal. The butcher club I know we're speaking to. Who are we speaking to from the butcher club? Pete's coming in a little bit later. He already sent me the 12 Tom Hawkes Lakes last week for in case that Nick Daykos didn't win the Brown Low. I've sent 11 of them back. I've kept one. I'm only going to strap one of those Tom Hawkes takes to my body and walk through where it be parked. So we'll go to the Lions and Closure. If lucky, if lucky, if lucky, he doesn't play this grandfile this weekend, that's it.

That is it. You're going to strap them back on. If he doesn't, yeah. No, I've sent 11 of them back. I'm only going to... We're going to do a nude run through the line park if lucky, Neil doesn't... If he doesn't play in the grandfile, that'll be the greatest injustice that's ever occurred in the history of England. Thank you. How can he's going to get off? I did. I just said that. So you're going to do the run... I'm running back through the line park with the Tom Hawkes strapped you back. Yes, just the line. If the line Neil doesn't play... Just the one I won't be enticing the Lions strategically. That's a Yannin and a lamb cutler for that. Yeah. Yeah, I've got a... I've got a whistler tutorial about this. This really annoys me. This decision that they arrived that last night. Anyway, you want to talk about it now and you want to talk about it now. We're rambling and we'll talk about it later. We've got a lot to talk about in the pre show. We only rambled maybe for half a day. We can get into it out of 6.30. Yeah, a lot of people are going to want to talk about that. So if you do come hard at us

and you can call it any time or you can send it to us if you're feeling outraged about what happened last night at the tribunal. But there's so much going on at the moment. Gary said before we came on air this morning, whisp, I never thought these words would tumble out of your mouth. Say what? You're going to go on and go on and go on. I haven't said anything off here. This is what you have. I haven't. This is what you're going to roll. Go on. Go on. It's not incriminating anyway. Go on. There's nothing I've said in the pre show that I'll be scared about going away. And nor should you. This is what you said. I've got Kylie Feu. Yes, I have. What is Kylie Feu? Kylie Feu. I know you've got Kylie T-shirt. Kylie Feu is taking over Melbourne. She's a front page of the Harold Sun. Actually, I was interested to work out how they selected the two players. She's only tiny, Kylie. Right. She's tiny. How small is she? Well, I'll tell you. I don't know. She's on the front page of the Harold Sun. And she's got the Wizard Watson to her right.

Right. And Guinea to her left. And the Wizard Watson looks like Justin Madden. That's how small Kylie monogues. So maybe they select, I know those two are right in the demographic. But they have chosen some rather small AFL stars to have the photo taken with them. Is the Wizard towering over? The Wizard towering over Kylie. The Wizard's head and shoulders over Kylie. Well, she's listed at 152 centimeters tall, which is five foot. How tall is the Wizard? He's 158. He's 173. Oh no, he's 151. He's 177. 173? Yeah, anyway. She is tiny, isn't she? She's tiny, but she's going to lie down. Tiny dance. She's going to fill that stadium. Doesn't matter how small she is. I know. She's going to fill that mighty stadium on Saturday. I know. You worry about that. I know she is, because I saw deals on your program last night. And that's exactly what he was saying. This is going to be one hell of a show. She's been down there. There's a few sound checks. Just putting a lot of work on hold.

A lot of work into this performance. Just to give him his flower. I think he's been good deals the last few. I think he's done a lot of... Who's been media training him? Is anybody that we know? Is Hado been working with him? Or anyone that we know? Hado works for everybody. I don't know. Has Hamey's been working with him? I don't know, but he's been good. He's been really good. He has Andy. Like he's more... I think they've said to him, you've got to change his style a bit and you've got to be a little bit more authority when you speak. And I've noticed that about the change about him too. Do you know what? I don't think he's got a... He hasn't got the UG of our previous couple of CEOs. And that's an a bad thing. A bit shy, do you think? Well, he's a bit more reserved than Gil on Andrew to meet you. Who were about... Correct. Yeah, that big showman, that big frontman showman. So, what deals is a much more reserved setup. No less smart, by the way. No, no, he's a smart boy. I don't think anyone's ever questioned that he's intelligence, but he's just been his delivery and he's assertiveness when he speaks. But I just think that he's changed a bit in that area

and he's improving in that area. So, who credit to him? I get the feeling. I don't know. This is a hand on how to, I don't know. But I do think that Woffee time's going to get a run on Saturday. I've got that feeling too. Yeah. And there's... I don't think the donors are going to get domed. I don't know if it's certain, but I don't think that's going to be available to them. He left that door open very wide, I thought last night too. Well, I don't know. I just don't think it's going to have the same impact, though, because... Yeah, I watched after that, I was thinking about the vision that you showed on G60 last night. And you've got a full stadium of people. Yeah. Everybody on board with Woffee time. You're going to have a... How many people will be there barricading for free out the weekend? So, 15, 20,000? Yeah, 20,000. And I'll be dispersed all over the... Well, I think that's going to be much. I think that's going to be much. I'm not trying to get a lot of them together. Right. There'll be bays of free-mail supporters and bays of Brisbane supporters and the rest will be the corporate or whatever the case is. Hey, Collie, we great. Push ahead, Pete,

has cancelled the pre-game entertainment for the NRL Grand Fly? Well, as I read last night, I'll stand to be corrected. They had tones and eye, ready to go, and he, or they wanted the NRL, wanted Dan Smunky, global hit. And she said, no, I want to do something else. So, he said, well, we're not having any entertainment then. So, he's pulled the pre-game into town half-time entertainment, but it is in the NRL. He said, and he's put... He's justification to win back a bit of support. I'd rather spend it on kids. I'd rather spend it on junior development. Well, that's a good move on his behalf, but I think when the time comes and people want some entertainment, they'll be looking for a little bit more than maybe push ahead and beat up on the big screen, talking about their development. That's right. And they'll be a weak athlete. A rugby league. A weak athlete. A rugby league. A rugby league. Absolutely smashed it out of the park and out. Grand Final. There'll be going on. I don't push ahead, but I just missed the mark here. Well, we did have her... We had Tony's and I back in 2019,

so there are a little bit behind us anyway there. And I think she did sing, what is it, Dance Monkey, or what do you say it was? Dance Monkey. That's what I'm getting the thumbs up. Dance, dance, for me, dance, for me, oh, oh, oh, oh, I never sing anybody do the thing to do before. I do say, to that person out there, I do say pathetic of you, Tim, you were in Sicily and Ginevin got a week for gut punches, illness season, you called them stupid. And Neil is stupid for what he did, but I think the penalty, the one match penalty for a grand final is very, very different and should be weighted very differently than the one match penalty for a home and away, Incent. There you go. You think of a couple of free punches if you're about to play in a grand final? No, no, no, no, because I don't think it was a punch either. I actually think it was a swinging arm. So, you think it was a punch? Yeah, it was a clench fist punch. Strike, you know, you say, open, slather strikes, just because you got a grand final? Depends on the degree of penalty. I think everything has to be taken into consideration. It didn't wind him. He got straight back up again. I don't think I am.

Yeah, a knocked him over, but maybe that was from shock as much as anything else. Or he was, Well, it wouldn't be. It wasn't expecting any contact with that state. He was getting away from actually pinning someone into the ground and jump a punching them. Hey, Barry's in bullying. Good morning. Barry, do you want to talk about this? You've got to hit us, Steve. I've got to take it out of the chair. Good night, boys. Look, I don't want war feet time. I want lucky time. To me, I agree with you. I'm just thinking, can we get Carly to have a chat to big deal? And just say, come on, let's get lucky to play. There's luck is this champion. It's going to be his last game. And the lines are going to match him. All right, we're going to do that in greater detail, Bazar. It's going to be hot on Erby, a hot topic this morning. Right. And the WISC wouldn't help himself. I'm pretty not prepared to go with it. Just you know, the WISC is jumping out of your skin ready to go, but let's just ease into the morning. Oh, you just want to ease into it the morning, OK? Oh, you want to go down unlucky, do you? No, I'll tell you what you need to do. I'm talking about Carly still. Oh, you say OK, still OK. He's got a further story. He's got a further story.

A boy. OK, go. I think to talk about your girl girlfriend from the 14th, the story mural, unveiled in Flinders' Shrait. Mm-hmm. So he's in the mood, everyone. He's in one of the moods, which I quite like for Grand Final Week. So where do we find this mural of the Flinders Shrait? Flinders Shrait. Right. 15th story. Right. 13th stories. Right. So what is it, what is it, a painting? A mural. Yeah. Yeah. Some sort of, some sort of mural, if you want to go and have a look at it. Where is it? Well, people be getting married in front of a Gary. Possibly. So there'll be sort of murals wedding. Yes, I can't find it. I've lost it. I don't know where I saw it. I'm just trying to promote the pregame. Oh, I'll keep going then. I'll keep everyone going. Oh, there it is. I've got a photo of it there. It looks great. It looks great. Oh, thank you. There's it. So, um... You know, I'm not a fan of her music. I'm hoping that that's not an honest straight-in to say that.

Well, you're mean. I just don't think she's got the... I don't think she's got the pipes. You've got to be joking. Well, she's got the pipes, eh? She's got the... Where are the great singers of all time, is she? Well, hey, my friend. I don't know anything about singing, but I could sing a song, take it into the studio these days and get a bit of synthesized stosh and a bit of this. And that night, sound like... Of course you could. ...think Dean Martin. You will call it. Don't tell me about this. You could sound like Frank Saratris. She's the greatest entertainment package we've ever had. In a entertainment... An entertainment, yes. But if she has got the pipes, then she'll get up and she'll sing... You can't sing. She'll get up and sing Whitney Houston's... It's in low commotion, certainly. I will always love it. Anyway, she'll entertain people. It'll be a show, it'll be a show. She'll be up there in little hot pants and she'll be... No, no, no, no. I've got Carly Fever up in the commentary box. I have got Carly Fever. I think it's going to be outstanding. And I'll bet you... I'll bet you... I'll find out exactly what time she will be performing.

I'll bet you're ever going to be in there, see? Ready to go. 138 p.m. is the time. And oh, there you go. Which one are you sitting in the corner of Dundeson Force? It yes, they buy yourself. I liked... I was having... Who saw me there? I know, one of these very astute audience members. I had... What do I have? I had... I had like a scrambled egg... ...thing for lunch yesterday. It was very nice to... Very nice to... I've got a question. Yeah. Why... So the interest rates are going to go up, right? Yeah, well, that's what they say, yeah. Yeah, maybe more than once. It's the governor of the Reserve Bank. I'm sure it's a debigal job. Are you? I'm sure it must be. But as far as I can say... I'm so reasonably hard to... A couple of things happen. Inflation goes up. So the only lever that they pull is like, Oh, let's put interest rates up. Flation goes down. Interstrate scale down. That out of a job. Well, it's more than just inflation.

Oh, is it? What other levers have they got? Would it be good if they could pull a couple of other levers to not have their interest rates go up? Yeah, well, it's also employment as well. Right. Yeah. So you've got to look at the employment figures, the inflation figures. But it appears every time that they come around, they go, oh, inflation's up, so interest rates are going to go up. What else can you do? Do something else, governor. Try and do something else so the interest rates don't have to go up. Yeah, but they're poor people. They're poor people. Yeah, well, I feel for everybody. I do. I do feel for everybody. But you're living in an island. Yeah, but we should... Not like there was this. Well. Every time the interest rates go up, everybody makes life more difficult. Not for the whips, though. We don't really care. What about someone else that I saw? I just signed your Carly T-shirt that you got for free last night. Cocky was that out there on... He was on the subway. ...Gum Tree or something. And then donate the money to people who are having trouble paying their mortgage. Wow. When you do that. I would if I had a... What's your carve off some of your 80 acres down there on main ridge and give it to some people out there that are looking for a place to go. Can't do anything with it. Can't do anything with it.

The interest rates are way they have it. It's clearly not affecting you. Well, I know this... Having listened to a podcast about this, if you really want to... If you want to control inflation and the interest rates, then one of the things that governments need to do around the world is they need to pull back their spending because they have an inflation re-effect. There's a light message for the Victorian government. ...Troll their spending. This podcast said the other day, what about this as a statistic? 63% of people in America, and there's over 300 million people in America, 63% of people in America are living from paycheck to paycheck. Now, that may be the same here in Australia. That is how tough things are. Living from paycheck to paycheck, Gary. That's tough. It is. That is tough. Damn, Tom. And I feel for all those people. And I know you do too. And the airlines, how they go. They're gouging at the right time of the year. And then, per supporters that want to get to the MCG just to watch their beloved teams play off for the title.

Have our airlines help them out? Well, the dynamic pricing, you know how that works, don't you? Yeah, no, that's a good idea. Just whack them up now. Yeah, or fuel prices have gone up. But I don't think that's the reason why the prices just slide back and forth between here. How do we get in trouble, I mean? How prodigious is that? Look at that, me. You're right. This is not where we need to be. It's a week or so. Well, it's going to affect a lot of people. It's a week of celebration. And we're just trying to make it an easy celebration by having the prices of an airline ticket be something like it would normally be. Boney, boney, I don't, I'm not believing, boney. Rickens that Kylie was his first kiss. That's what he's saying. Kylie was spinning up, boney. Yeah, spinning one now, boney. Yeah, poor old Kylie's got a got boney. And you know how I know that's not true, boney? Because Gary beat you. You beat me. It's easy, I've already got ABC. So come on, come on, do the love of us.

We beat you. Breakfast with Gary and Tim. And our bond's where the man. The ramble for Cobber Mustang. Australia's most awarded extra virgin olive oil. Ron Harvested and first cold pressed in Northern Victoria. I know you're feeling me cause you're like you're like this. I'm bringing it down. I'm not the same. I know you're feeling me cause you're like in the season. Oh, fingers out there. It's not Kylie, man. I'm gonna have to go out and give it a play set. That's what's the biggest hit. Well, like a motion. We had that, do we? Yeah, we've already had that. I hope she sings that. Spinning around was massive. Yeah, it was massive. Watch the docker, which song? Which was it? Which was a breakout song? I'll give it a tough five after. I'm gonna read out a positive text for you because in amongst all the other stuff that we're receiving this morning, there is one of the very nice positive text. You're the one that's copped at this morning.

No, no. Gads with all the negativity around these days, I just want to send a shout out to you. Morning radio, AFL 360, at night on the weekends doing the commentating. I really appreciate all the effort you put in there. All the effort you put in for the game, enjoy Grand Final, mate. That's from Jinks out there. Very, very nice sentiment. Very nice sentiment. Thank you, Jinks. That is very nice of you. Very kind of you. Carbon Club Luncheon is a massive part of the Grand Final week. You've been there many times. Usually on Tuesday, as I remember, after the brand-loh medal, the brand-loh medalist goes. It's called the Carbon Club's very famous members club. They had a big function this and they had Nikki Osborne as the comedic routine. You need to probably remind people as to who she is, what she's most famous for in recent times. She did the sit down with Elbow where they did the mention Kylie and the Japanese.

And the Melons? Present from the Prime Minister. Yeah, got himself in a bit of strife to our Prime Minister. But she was the... You've been on the circuit lately. Who's the... Give me the best... Give me... I heard that it didn't quite fly. Now I was in there. What does that mean? I wasn't there. In the entertainment world, what does it didn't quite fly mean? That's what I heard. Now I wasn't there. But if you're at the Carbon Club Luncheon, you can tell me differently. Not Jimi. But from the article I read in the paper, it's out of the she thought she hadn't quite known it. She said halfway through the set of progress, she said, you know, do you ever get to the stage where you think, what am I doing? Anyway, it's a high note. Did she really say that on stage? That's what I said in the paper. But my spy who was there said it wasn't a... The occasion wasn't a great match with the... Right. Could you go to match up there? If you're going to have a comedy act, you've got to match it up with the occasion. The Carbon Club's like a little bit of an older demographic.

And if you don't mind me saying, if you're going to have a comedy act, the comedy act should include some comedy. Would that be too much to ask? I didn't see it Tim, but that's a bit harsh, but that is kind of the message that was coming through. Sounds like that's what happened yesterday. You've been doing a lot of functions. Who's the hottest comedic act on the website? I honestly... You said the other of those. Tommy Seagot. I don't know. I don't know. No, Tommy Seagot. Yes, you do. You would have seen Tommy around. He was at the luncheon I was at on Monday. Very, very funny. I'm going to go to the... But you know what's happened, and I think it happened to poor Tommy on Monday too. Like, he crashed. No, no, he was told... Oh, that didn't you know? If I didn't say that. That's... Tom. Gary, I didn't say that. He's a really good fellow. He's a man of the people he is, like you're good self and I. Backtrack. But he had sort of like, he's stage show. I know. And then he was told to just make it a little bit more PG as opposed to a little bit boardy the way that he normally operates.

So he had to pull a back a bit, which I believe having studied his performance all day that it might have affected his performance just a little bit. So you are saying that he... No, I'm not. Well, that's... No, I'm not. Who goes out of there? I'm not saying that. Send him through. Who is... Because this is a circuit time. There's functions and going on everywhere. Who's the funniest... Who is the funniest act out there at the moment? Who could you guarantee you could put on and you get a good old belly laugh? Well, these text messages wouldn't be in it out there. You're right there. They are failing digitally trying to be funny. Who's the funniest that I... And then now... And then Cerenty? Did you say... When was the last time you saw Vince Cerenty? Did you just say... No, I didn't say his name, but when was the last time you saw him? I don't know. I'm trying to think. Next you're going to say Paul Martell. Oh, very good. Very sharp operator. He stopped. Paul Martell. Very good operator. He was back in the day, but I don't think there's much of his material that... This is the problem for why he's all done.

There's not a lot of their material that flies these days. We should go to Rob'sage. We should go to Rob'sage and get into the top 10. At least the top 10 comedic act, if you... If you got a function going on at the moment... Because it would appear that the one yesterday didn't quite fly, according to my spy. Yeah. You all make didn't quite know that the one you were in. No, I didn't say that. You did say that. Don't be saying that. I didn't say that. I said that he had to tame... Tony, think it's getting a lot lower off the teeth man. He's great. He's really, really funny. Sam would be number one, wouldn't he? Yes. But I think he's priced himself out of the market. Priced himself out of our show. I think he's... Where is he? He's doing the... I think he's doing the... He's... What do you... What do the ocean liner... I think he's doing the ocean liner circuit thing. Hewys, still funny? Hewys? Yeah, I think he's funny. I think he's really funny. He's a tater bit there. No, I wasn't. I was looking at something else. Lawrence Mooney... I saw Lawrence Mooney at one day. Very funny. And he's very funny. Very funny, Lauren.

Probably just wasn't he's already... No, you are a hard judge. He used to put the line through it. Six of them. Kyle Barron. Haven't heard him for a while. He didn't do the... We're talking 40%. Yeah, it's going to be a little bit over. No, David Neal's done this lunch, too. He was very funny. Kim Jeffries. He's your man. He does that poker and the 100%. He does that poker and the 100%. He has 100%. Kitty Flanagan. Haven't very funny. Haven's seen Kitty up on stage. Who was the other guy that used to be a regular on Hay-Head Saturday? I saw him do a lunch on Monday. Oh, quite. He used to be the comedian. Was he a strange? No, not a... No, not Darrell. A comedian. A regular, regular, regular. On Hay-Head Saturday. It'll come through. It'll come through. It'll come through. There's a few out there, apparently, but not the ones that the Whisperer watching lately, apparently. What about Trevor Mamla? What's Trevor's day? Back in the day, he was as good as you could hope for. I don't know if he's too much anymore. Well, it was the last time you had a real belly laugh. Somebody really, really made your life.

Apart from one of those tick tox or something, you look at rings. We're about something else. We're at the 630 News in line. We'll put together the list. I'll put together the top five Kylie songs. And then we'll get stuck into the lucky meal because the Whisperer fight up and read it again. A sports update for Reem. Who's running hot? With over 80 years of manufacturing hot water in Australia, it's got to be Reem. To some instincts, don't mind doing it for the kids. So come on, child. Where's Kylie? That sounds like Robbie Williams. Don't be scared to put a bit of Kylie in there with Finkels. That guy that I was trying to remember, the comedian who I was trying to remember, Shane Born. Shane Born. Morrie Fields. No. Morrie. Elliot Goblin. No, they're funny. They had some funny moments too. Thank you to everybody for your nominations and your thoughts. That's crazy.

Russell Gilbert. Russell Gilbert was always funny. I liked the style of human too. Socid Gossage is here too to go ahead but the Whisperer is in the studio already. He's going to join us out of 7 and give us the free-o flavor. Does he always wear a helmet like that? Nope. He's got his boxing gloves with him as well. So get a stand by for that. The Whisperer is in A-mo. This is for Dexie and our great friend, your Dexie and Victoria.com.au for your palettes stacking and your shelving. We'll have some photos for you soon. And Kogan Mobile, it's clicking awesome. Right up sports update for him. Locking Neil has been unsuccessful. So the band's been upheld. He's got the opportunity to go to the AFL Appeals board but we'll unpack that in a big, big way. Whisperer got some very, very strong thoughts. Fred Metal Coach, Justin Longmeer has been voted the AFL Coaches Association AFL Senior Coach of the Year. Chris E. Fagan was in second place and Sydney's Dean Cox was third. So congratulations to JL. Faggs is one of the last two of those. So good effort by Justin Longmeer.

Tommy Mars reporting Johnny Longmeer has ruled himself out of the vacant North Melbourne coaching position. Made the call Monday. You'll hear from John Longmeer first on AFL 360 tonight. Yes. I think you and I can add a little bit to all that a little bit later too. Andrew Dylan has not, not, I repeat, not officially ruled out Woffey time at the Grand Final at the weekend. And Jolomati will inform Sydney today that he wants to join Carlton and apparently have they done a merge with the Sydney Swans Carlton? Why? Well, I'm just going to give you some names here. Jolomati. Oh, the Florent. Newman. Florent, Haywood and Hewitt. Okay, so there's going to be if they were all to play, get picked. There's almost a quarter of Carlton side have been Sydney Swans players. Strong Flavour. Strong Flavour. What if you want to recruit, you want to end those type of players? You know, those semi-veteran type players go to a club where they've been well schooled and well nurtured and well developed like they have there at Sydney. What are you looking at mean like that for?

Yeah, I'm looking at sausage out there. Tim Gossage. He wants a piece of you. Grand Final on Pires, Haydn Meyer. He was the man that made the decision on German. Hebret Rosbury, Brennan Hosking and Nick Foote. So they've been announced and Reza Rae was very happy with them last night. Yeah, he needs his own show too, Reza Rae. We need to talk about that in a bit more detail later. Brett Ratten is set to move from Hawthorne to Richmond as their Tigers head of coaching. He's going to be the director of coaching their strategy in 2027. He's been the head of coaching and development at the Hawks since 2024. So that's a bit of a CEO UP, yes. Yeah, big change at Richmond. We'll go through all those changes that are taking place down there. So they've pulled some big, big levers at the Richmond 40 Club. The bombers have appointed Brett Prismal as the head of development under Mark McVey. And the NRL says it's prepared to have no pre-match entertainment at its Grand Final this year. We spoke about that after Tony and I. And would appear Pusha Head Pete had a different opinion of what was to be played. So Pusha Head said, well, no worry. Hey, fair enough too.

No, fair enough too. If you're going to pay... What if you're going to pay... No, no. All right, if you're going to pay somebody an act, if Kylie was to get up there on set, she can't have the tutus. She can't have the tutus. And no, and just play all the songs from her new album that nobody's familiar with, then we'd all be disappointed. If you're a... If you're somebody that's made their name back on the back of some great hit that's been a worldwide hit, which it has been, you should be playing that for people. We wouldn't do that in the negotiation phase. Well, maybe he wasn't there during the negotiation phase. He's everywhere, Pusha Head. I know, but maybe he gave that to one of his underlings, and he didn't realize until... He really did. The last couple of days that that's what was going to happen. When he took over everything, he also took over entertainment. I don't think he did. He didn't have... He took his eye off the ball. All right, shout out for the Pullman Hotel Premium Accommodation Spectacular Views within steps of the MCG Melbourne's event precinct. You can visit PullmanEastMalmond.com.au. That is going to be a happening place with the Grand Final, the Brisbane Lions stay at the Pullman. The Fakes just likes to walk across.

It likes to look at his window and see the crowds start to build up for the big grand final. Oh, does he? That's what he told me on the week. Does he just lie there in the temper? I told you that, sir. On the temper, mattress. I was winding up from a big cell and he goes, oh, she should be crowded, isn't it? I'm going, yep, there is Fakes in. And this is... Files for you, Foxy goes, oh, I was watching them as us. I was looking at me. Bedroom window. You know, they've got big crowd coming in. He's the best. He's the best, Chris Fagan. Not according to the... Well, we're just second best. This is just along me who was voted. Anyway, we'll take a break. Pete from the butcher's club is here. He's going to be talking... Is he loaded? He's loaded. Has he got a sexual of me there? He got something for you. He's not worried about that. And don't go anywhere because it is going to be on this morning. Humacluggaged, Tim Gossage, Michael Barlow, Andrew Russell. They are all coming in on an action-packed, Gary and Tim from breakfast. You've got a reputation. And there are guests that can be explored.

You can't swim with the chairman after all. Breakfast with Gary and Tim. Talk to me. Talk to me. All I wanted to know about is... Conversation starters. Life's never flat when you power every moment with a Sydney Powerbound. Sydney.com. Now, young fingers on the button out there. I'm giving him a lesson in Kylie Minogue at the moment. He must be a mega-diff, deaf leopards, sort of an operator. Pete for the butcher club is in. It's that time of year, Pete Robinson. He's a great supporter of our show. And he's a mad whalthon supporter. He's flat as a shison carter's hat. Hey, Pete. Morning, boys. Talk, man. Talk. You recovered yet or not? You were there Saturday. Yeah, I was there Saturday. Yeah, yeah, I'm getting there, it's OK. It was a difficult way to lose a big preliminary final, wasn't it? Yeah, certainly is. Isn't it? Good, good. You're seeing a better game of Aathel football than that one though.

That was incredible. Unbelievable. We, you know, sitting there with half adults in office and, yeah, the boys were, you know, we'd be smashing it into that last quarter because it was over, right? And to come back like that, it was incredible. We were up at your seat, Pete. We were going nuts. Yeah, correct. Are you normally, would you be up and going like that or are you a bit of a conservative watcher? Yeah, relatively conservative, but it was up and not in that last quarter. Yeah, unbelievable. Seriously, unbelievable. So you've probably had the big Tom Hawke steak just ready to go for a Sunday barbie. What did you turn to? Just a nice little thin sausage instead with a beer infusion from Carlton draft. Is that what you ended up turning to? I did. Yeah, changed it up and yeah, jumped onto the Carlton draft sausages, correct? Marie says the comedians, the best comedians at the moment of the AFL. She might not be a, she might be Brisbane fan. Hey, it's a tough. Your meat from the butcher club has been a scoen nuts.

So grass fed beef and lamb, hormone free pork, free range chicken, local seafood, busiest time of the year, I'd imagine. One I've right now grand final week. You brought in some nice beer infuse beef and pork, bring him snacks. They look pretty damn good, Pete. We do a collaboration with Carlton draft. We've done it for I think the last five years and these things are incredible. Do they go nuts? Yeah, they do. Off the shelf. We just, we bring him in 40 finals and then we run them through until the end of November. They literally got Carlton draft in them. Using the finest cuts I've made infused with Carlton draft beer to create a juicy, flavoursome snag. We could have got you on the barbie and whipping a few sausages. sausage, sausage out there, we're gonna move down in 304 with these babies. I mean, Carlton draft inside, I mean you could live on that. You could live on that. I like a fat sausage too. They've got a nice girth about them, these sausages. A nice, nice girth. What would you be, sir? What would you be recommending?

A lot of people are gonna have a barbie this Saturday to celebrate their grand final. What's your best full, most full proof cut of meat that you would provide for the barbie queue for this weekend? I think we've spoken about it before but my favourite steak is the Porta House steak. I just love it. It is. It's bullet proof. There's not too much fat through it. Right. Yeah, it's good. It's a nice easy one to count. I don't know how to cook this one. I'll cook this one for the whole house. I do. No, you don't. Good point, Gary. It's a very important point. I have no any minutes each side of you. I'm a six. Six minutes. I'm a six six here. What about you, Pete? Yeah, I was gonna say five five. Yeah. That's a bit rarer. Yeah, yeah. The last time you hear, Pete, this is, they're gonna message you here, sign up to the App Last type. Pete was in. I've been down in Moniton, butcher club every week. It's amazing. Is the app still in operation? Yeah, it's going really well. That fellow won't touch a lot of this week you watched, like signing up for it for our app.

So there's a butcher club app, you sign up, you get messages, what's on special, what you can get down the book. Yeah, we run our clubs everywhere, haven't you? We run a rewards program where it's a free app, you sign up and I think this week, this week we've got Scotchville, Angus Scotchville, 20 bucks a kilo off. Oh, I love it. So it's a free app. Oh, I'm scared you can't. I'm scared it's 20 bucks a kilo. It's really worthwhile having... I don't know, you sell much of this, but the Scoot State guy, I'm a real fan of the Scoot State just a little minute and a half, maybe two minutes each, so I carry it. We're the Garthy Sossage. We sell plenty of it and it's a good last cheaper, two. Five or six years. Yeah, we, people have, have gone on to things like that, it might be actually you're talking about it on the radio. Well, maybe, maybe, I know Dermott is one of your ambassadors. What's the big, I see him as a big Tomahawk State type Blake, is he? Yeah, Tomahawk's. Rule, or does he cook it by us? Yeah, he loves him. Yeah. Rule, but does he cook it or not though, does he just need a rule? Yeah, he's a...

He was injured in the week actually. Oh, there he was. Oh, there he was. He was doing a bit of filming, actually taking the, you know, what out of yourself with that? Yes, well give the brand-lost. So, given you're a big, big hawthorne man and you got the whiz there, why don't you bring out a nice little chipleard or something like that and call it the whiz, the mini sausage. Why don't you do something like that? We should do that. The Caltan Drift in the bag there, the show bag there's both sausages and chiplearders that are available in the Caltan Drift Snag, so... Oh, like a chipleard. ...cracker pose. Hey Pete, we appreciate you coming in. You've been great supporters of our program for a long period of time and we love pushing these and at this time of year it's the time to get into the butcher club you get the most magnificent meat and just grab yourself a pack of these beer and fuse beef and pork premium sausages, the Caltan Drift specials. That's got the Grand Final week, we know. Oh, I've got it. Thanks for your support, mate. Well, you're Pete, appreciate it. That is Pete Robinson from the butcher club, who, as I said, been supporting us for a long period of time, get yourself sorted. We've got a massive show.

Coming out of seven, the punch on, costage versus what, and that'll be interesting. He'll give us the exact... I was just talking to him. Freeman always going crazy. Came in a flight that arrived at one o'clock and it was absolute fool to the rafters for our docker supporters coming into Melbourne town. Huey McCleggage for the Brisbane Lions, Hill, join us at seven, join you. We've got Mickey Barlow's going to join us for a docker plate in that 2013 Grand Final and Andrew Russell for Wellness Wednesday. And we're going to go heavy into the whole locky kneel thing. So, they got a very busy morning on this year breakfast. Breakfast with Gary and Tim. It's final time. Sit down, but to remember. Tough finals moments. Lover of strengths built tough grunt. Nothing's tougher. Jai Sarong didn't do a lot with it. Caleb is a result. Has it? Hand pass in board was a good one. Young to Switt Kowski through the pressure. Back to young at the front. Has a bounce. Link up, played a Bolton. Thumb orders it around. Has to double back and get it. Gives it a boss. Oh, he's these way. Passed Rampy and four snaps.

The goal. Three mountains are his coming hard. A test of strength from the city's off during a lap of order. It's a bit early for the on and left, but it's worth a run. It's final time. Sit down, but to remember. Tough finals moments. Lover of strengths built tough grunt. Nothing's tougher. The pair of blankets in that commentary box, was it? They were charging at that stage. Tim Gossi, Jai, Brick Sien, Brick for Sman over in Perthies. He's here. He's arrived in town. He's going to come in after seven o'clock. I've just been having a chat with him. He's an unbelievable story that is building. It is free-man or football club. Just the nerves and the excitement. And what it's done for the town over there. And how many people have come and over? So he'll paint a picture for us out of seven. And then he'll be in the luggage. Iceman. Kick three magnificent goals on the weekend. He's back to his absolute best. He's going to join us as well. We'll talk to Mickey Barlow.

So another free-man or man. So we're getting both sides of the coin here. And then we'll debate strongly. Lucky Neil, who has failed in his attempt to get off that striking ban. As it stands right now, he will miss the grand final. Tim Watson's got very strong thoughts about it. What do you think about a Sunday grand final? Just what we've got a minute. Eddie McGuire has proposed Sunday grand final into, well, he's saying, I think it's on the back of, well, I haven't read the whole thing. But on the back of the Friday, holiday doesn't work. So he's saying, well, let's make it Saturday the parade. Saturday night, a big function for everyone that's in town. The heavy movies and shakers. And then Sunday granny into a Monday day off where the winning premiership teams paraded through the city and you'll get to celebrate on a Monday. Right. I don't mind. I like thinking about these things. Yeah, I don't know whether I agree with it, but I like having people throw up ideas like that. I just, I don't really understand why we would do that.

Given that we have a Friday off, you have the Saturday game. Friday off, doesn't work. Yeah, but why not? Doesn't work. A lot of people go to the parade. I'm not afraid. A lot of people come to, well, you're not. But a lot of people come down from the country and they go to the parade and they come to the city when they probably wouldn't necessarily come to the city. Yeah, nothing's open because the city can't afford to put to put everything's open. That's not. The people can't afford to pay their staff on a public holiday. Well, so there's no hospitality places open on a Friday. Quite a few. We know in open this Friday. I don't know what you're saying. We don't talk about the cafes and the... All right. I'll just write out there. If you're open on Friday, send us through a text. I'd like to know whether or not there is a lot of trading that goes on on the Friday. It's a public holiday, yes. Yeah. But that doesn't mean to say people can't open their establishment, does it? No, of course not. But just means they've got to pay award rates, which again, it doesn't seem to affect you. It affects me and all our audience. The cost of living. Don't start this. So don't start this. The... It doesn't seem to worry that we're supposed to.

I'm right up. If you're lovely. You didn't even have a job when you were a kid. I had to go out and work when... From the time I had turned 11 years of age as a kid in the country. If I wanted something, I had to go out and work for myself. I was pumping petrol at the Caltech Super Station when I was nine years of age. You're making punches horses fed themselves, do you know? You think they just went to help themselves at the chaff bar? Someone at the feeder and fill up their water bottles. Water bottles. Water bottles. Water bottles. Did you all say tree? Every oddle. I love every oddle. I was seven o'clock. Tim Gossi's in. Straight after the news. They'll set you up for this grand final. You'll paint the picture for free, Manel, and what's going on over there in Perth. And he'll be McCluggage from the line. Breakfast with Gary and Tim. The Good Oil for Cobram Estate. Australia's most awarded extra virgin olive oil. Grown, harvested, and first cold pressed in Northern Victoria.

Well, this time last week there was tension everywhere. We scored the free manel people cowards. Socied, fired up. Back and forth messages. I stuck awkwardly in between the two of them. And now he's here. The man from Western Australia with a free manel fully club in the grand final. Tim, sausage, sausage, yeah. Where's the in man in Perth? He's in the studio with us. OK, sausage, gas, whisp, good to be here. Good to be here. Good to be here. Whisp, turn his back on your... Oh, no, be lost. Turn his back on your... Didn't cover yourself in glory last week. You were the most hated man in Perth. I would wear that as a badge of honor. Well, you're from a West Coast Eagle. When everyone thought you've turned on your own state. But people not listen to what I said. I said that they need to embrace the pressure of being the number one team going into that game. Surely you thought that they were unbeatable going into that game. You know what? Yeah, he's playing. He declared it. Exactly. So you and I are singing out the same hymn book. Well, I think there was tongue firmly planning that you... I think you gave off the impression. And that's been the messaging that we've got from a lot of our listeners. Oh, yeah.

How many... I want names. How many? Well, Ray from Bummry. He's after you. No, don't talk. Mouse wants a piece here. Mouse is on my side. No, where SEM was. Let's not look back. Let's look forward, though, SOS. Let's look forward. I'm okay. Because you're not a free mouse supporter, right? No, I'm a secret. But you're a Western Australian football supporter. Yeah, 100%. Paint the picture for us for this football side, this expansion club side. Adelaide one quickly. Put Adelaide one, a premiership quickly. We haven't had that level of success yet for the... They've been in a grand final. Now they're in their second. The town must be besotted, so. It's incredible. And we talk about build up. And I can't remember. I'm 92, 94, West Coast years. Those formative years. They won quickly. They did. 28 again. So all these sort of chip on shoulders just got bigger and bigger and bigger. For free. Yeah, 100% of that. They need to win this one. Right. They need to win it. And then we can all breathe and we can all move on. And we can all...

They can be the kings of the town for once. Right. Explain what chip on shoulder means over there. They have... They struggle. And rightfully so. They struggle with the success of West Coast. And they get angry towards West Coast. But they're dining out on West Coast. Not being very good at the moment. Right. But you go into West Coast's unbelievable home quarters. And they're at the MRP. And there's four premiership cups as you're walking the door. Right. Right. Right. They're free-mount on these nothing there. But free-mount fans have a real issue with that. They do. They have bullied them around a bit though. They have over the time. They have. 100% they have. And they've got a bit of their own back right now. And now's their time. Now's their time to get one. And it might be the first of several. What was the light when they got donkey licked in that first final? Do him and Glen. And they give up. And... And... Even now... I could have played over last... Well, I got here this morning. And let me say that everyone on the planet... Ah, you'll be right. I'm trying to build them up. They are so cautious. The fan base. Because they've been... They've had this before. Yeah. Even the odd finals campaign last year.

When they lost to Hawthorne, the place was a morgue. Perth. Yet, last Saturday morning after winning on... You know, the unwinable game, which was at one stage. They'll never get a win on their 28 points down. I can tell you, Saturday morning, they're the mood, whether you were a... Dockers fan, Eagles fan, 40 fans, sports fan. Every cafe, the place was buzzing. It was enormous, and it has been since. And it's building and building and building. So, if you can't get over here and the flights, we know how prohibitive they are, and then you've got to get a ticket. So, the Freo fans will travel. We know they will travel. So, if they're on their way, great. But back home, what is... They'll shut the whole joint down. Yeah. Free Maddle... Free Maddle will be locked down. And we saw, even last Friday, that the main street was shut down. Bustels were trying to get through and people weren't letting them through. Actually, a pretty good humour. But the Freo Maddle pubs, the precincts. But even, there's events everywhere. To be honest with you, if you're really looking at... I know Melbourne's been going through what they're being going through. And W has been going through much better to be brilliant with you. Been pretty flat joint. It would be handy for them to win.

I think fans, 40 fans, Eagles alike, fans will embrace them winning in the place where we buzz on. You'll know this better than anybody. When you heard that Sean McManus had been named as the person to present the carpet, if they were to win the flag. What did you think about that? Because the emotion I listened to, Hayden Valentine's speak about this on the radio last night before. I saw when they announced it. It was great. It is fantastic. Because everyone would have thought, maybe not Pavley's, but maybe five or, you know, there would be another player. There were some hanging fruit selections there. Correct. Correct. So he means a lot to the Free Maddle docker. And they mean a lot to him, don't they? Sixteen weeks we ran. So we would ask former docker's. We've been running the 16 week fan final Premiership campaign. And I've been pooping. They're almost there. You are. You're almost there. So we've asked every sort of former docker, when they win, who will they beat? What will the margin be? Who will win the norm Smith? And who will present the trophy? The cup. And basically, 25, 30%, basically won the Sean Mc.

And I think there was a general, that started to warm to him late. He does break for a serenadeo. It would kind of be a presence over there still. And he's so passionate. And he's a good person. He's a really good person. And hats off to him. In fact, two of his instrumental boys are in the lineup. Because Simon Black is an instrumental boy like Sean Mc. So whichever way you look at it, a great day for W1. So I was going to say, you're worried about my man, Josh Tracey. I am. He's not the same. But it's probably, to be honest with you, they're all a bit clumsy and cumbersome at the moment. That's straight blocks. There's something wrong. They're all getting into the space. They were really. They were working like a hand in glove there. Yeah, exactly right. To be honest, when the way they played, the way they played in the last couple of games, to be honest, there was so much upside. There is. There's a lot of likes who have got some upside. I mean, Vos did nothing for three quarters the other day. Yeah. There's a few others in that boat as well. But I think the Kahuna, I think on the big stage, you have to get more people. They got a bit lost at the SCJ. I said this to Tim the other day in that ground.

Just watching it. He just got caught in between a lot. So I think the bigger ground is going to help them. What's Pat Vos is pro-foll liking with Australia. Do they love him? Do they hate him? Do they embrace him? Free-ass supporters at loving him? Yeah, they do. When he gets the ball. He's a bit of a barometer the way they do. Yeah, no, there's definitely a bar. Patti likes Patti's homework. He's on everything. But he's a bit of a barometer the way they do. Yeah, he need him. 100%. Otherwise, the football club historically has been, I think a really good footy club, but they need some one who's prepared the chuckiest chairs. Yeah, they do. And to be honest, he keeps on to be honest. He was very good in Sydney. When they needed him, he actually hit the scoreboard late. He was up and about. But the most popular right now is Dudley. Wispsman. Oh, Cuddley. He's got some tricks. He has definitely got some tricks. He was good when they were bad last week. Yeah, no, he was all right. He was all right. No, he can find the ball.

They've got so many weapons still free, man. I don't know that we've seen them all exposed at the same time during this final series. Is it right that they've only won three quarters of football in this final series? Yeah. I mean, that speaks of when they go, they can go and they can score heavily. But I really think, I don't know what you think. But I reckon they've got to make a physical stand very early in this game on Saturday. And I don't know that we've seen that during this final series. They're great with their tackling and their pressure in that early game against Jolong. And then Jolong got back in the game. But this stage, Brisbane knows what it's all about. I'm interested to see whether there's a tentative start to the game from Fremantle or whether they're going to go all guns blazing right from that first ball. So Jolong got in their grill at one stage and then Fremantle worked their way through it. Hawthorne were in their face from the go. From the go. Yep. And they couldn't deal with it. Sydney were in their face for three quarters and they were running out of tickets and then they over ran him in that last quarter. Brisbane played very different brand. I think Fremantle would embrace a high scoring, free flowing go.

Right. You don't like this matchup, right? I reckon they love this matchup. This is the team. I reckon genuinely they, I think, Brisbane was the team they wanted to play. Really? Well, you've got a prerecord. So I got to let you go in a minute. You'd be calling for Docker's nation with three of our number. We don't know where we're calling from. Standing somewhere in the stand, somewhere underneath the ground. I'll keep you from. Anywhere. We can't. We can't wait. Like we eat. Locky kneel, do you think you'll play? No. You don't record your... Okay. So who... Josh Duncan is going to go to someone. Who do you think he goes to? Or... Who should he... You were coaching Brisbane and knowing Fremantle as you do. Who would you send him to? I don't reckon he could keep up with Bolton. So I reckon he would go to Sarong. Yeah. Sarong's incredibly important. I think that might be right. What about Do you believe the Andrew Braseworth thing that was spoken about last night on G60 about the Immortals, the letter and the lock, is that type of thing? Do you believe they will be Immortals? Yeah, I do. I think the 92 premiership team Eagles are immortal and still...

And remain so in our town. And I think Fremantle, for 30 odd years to have been able to get there, it will be huge. Yeah, being first. Being first. Shooting. Shooting is off the chart. So what... Where are you tipping? What do you think? I think Fremantle win. I genuinely do. I think everything's in their favour. I reckon for what it's worth, they played a day earlier. They've done... They've got no real problems. They've got one selection, which I know we've discussed, whether they bring cocks in. I think it's a massive risk they trained today. You don't think they'll bring you in? I don't think they'll bring you in. I think Oscar McDonald's done enough to deserve his spot. And I think they're going to train today. They're sold tickets to the training sessions, $3,000. $3,000, people, paid tickets to go to the training today. Which is great. Goes to charity, goes to their purple hands. Sit on them. Fantastic. And Norm Smith. I will go... Alex Pearce. We, the captain. Hey, we love every time we get a chance. I know it's hard because of the time difference, but the fact that we can have a chat with you is great. Enjoy it. Thank you. You got your wister train head on this weekend as you should. Peter Bell next to you. Big free, Iman as well.

So that'll be a great occasion. Love you coming in, Mike. Thanks, guys. Thanks, Tim. Thanks, guys. Tim Gossage joining us here. He's off to do a pre-record for his show over in Perth. We're going to catch up with you with a cluggage on the other side of the break. Breakfast with Gary and Tim. It's all right over here with us. So Pete from Nairi, Warren, our great friend. They said Logan McDonald was no good either, Pete. But look at that. He's proved plenty wrong. We are talking to a man who is lining up for his fourth grand final. And he's performance on Saturday in the pre-limbs was just ice through his veins, whisper. Well, it's through his veins. That's what he had. He had a big block of ice in his carry on like he did the weekend. He was he was he was a cluggage. The lines go Captain. He's good enough to join us. Go, you eat. You want to follow? Thank you, I mean, on. Oh, mate. And congratulations to congratulations. That was an amazing performance from the Brisbane Lions. But you too. How did you feel in the afterglow of that victory? Yeah, it was a pretty insane game. Everyone's there. Everyone's always speaking about it. Took a little bit to wind down, but when you're involved in something like that, I suppose you've just got a spend.

24, 48 hours. You're enjoying it for what it is. And then you've got to sort of move on. So yeah, that's probably been the toughest part to try more on down. But I think we've done that pretty well and we're on to the next one now. Talking about on to the next one, when you went back to take that kick, and I know you've spoken about this before, but you know, people have said, you know, why did he kick it so quickly? Why did he take his time? Was that actually was that a consideration in your mind that I just want to get through this as quickly as I possibly can? Yeah, it's probably something that I've been applying for my goal kicking for a couple of years now, instead of standing on top of the market thinking about it too much, just going back and getting it done. And yeah, I suppose the moment would have just become bigger if I had awaited, and I know that if I had a way set a bit more time, it might have maybe been better off for us. Would that send a bounce, but if I had a one to clean one, then I think that would have had a chance to score anyway. So yeah, I think first and foremost, I just wanted to go back and put it through. And yeah, it was just such a crazy moment.

I mean, I probably haven't fully started getting it. I probably won't feel the seat and it's done to be honest, and we can hopefully reflect after a successful game of pain. But yeah, I don't know what was going through my mind. I'm honestly so happy. It felt like forever between when I looked at the umpire, when I realized he was going to pay hold on the ball, and then it just went back and try and now my routine is best as I could. It's one of those games, you either for us who were there watching and commentating or whatever, was it ever since all anyone wants to talk to you about, is that game? Now you've played in massive games over the past three or four years. If you felt like that as well, like everyone that stopped you, go, well, yeah, they want to relive the moment, they want to relive the free, kept the goals, is it been like that? Yeah, for sure. I mean, living in Queensland in Brisbane, we're not too well recognised. I was sort of still that second football team up here after the Broncos, but yeah, everywhere we've been in the last couple of days, you've sort of got people just saying, how crazy was that? Congratulations, and they're pretty crazy up here to be honest to feel nothing concerns.

The Brisbane people too much, but yeah, there's definitely been a few more parts on the back than normal, so yeah, the big challenge for us will be granting ourselves, and as I said, we've got a massive opportunity ahead of us this weekend, so we'll look forward to that. And with that tackle, that tackle which everybody now has examined, and if you had a few, you know, a few, you know, a few, you know, if you had a been behind, would your tackling technique and idea been to lock the bull in? Did you have enough understanding of the situation that you only wanted to lock down one of his arms? I think, well, firstly, I just wanted to make the tackle anyway, I could, and once I realised that I had one of his arms sort of locked, I tried to latch on that, and yeah, but if it was the other way around, and we were trying to save the game, then I probably would have let go of that or use my other arms to wrap around the ball and lock that in. So maybe towards the end, I started to think, yeah, if I sort of just hold one arm and make him make a decision,

then it might be beneficial in this moment, but it all happens pretty quickly, so the first thought through my mind was just to make the tackle and to sort of lock it in our full line, because I need a little bit of time left, and we're pretty dangerous in those four, and it's only a nice forward 50 stuff, it is. Yes, it's your fourth grand final in a row. Does it feel different to you? Not, I'm not saying you're less excited, but you're more capable of sort of compartmentalising and saying, right, this is this time of the week, I don't need to get to up here, I need to make sure that I'm organised in this area of my life, I'm an area of your, do you feel like you've got everything in the place it needs to be? Yeah, I've seen the routine becomes a little bit more normal and what we do is a club, so we fly down the South to Noon, which we didn't do the first year, and I think that's worked really well first just to get down there and actually enjoy the week. In terms of the nerves and the excitement, I don't think it gets any different than how many you've played. If anything, I think I feel more nervous as a year's gone, because you know what's at stake, and you know how amazing you're

if you're able to get the job done and how emotional and disappointing it is if you don't, so yeah, I think just as on edge, just as nervous, but also just as excited for the opportunity to come. Talking to one of the Brisbane Lions co-captains, humour clubgages, obviously the news last night is not the news that you wanted to hear about Locking Neal and that one match penalty being upheld at the tribunal, what was your reaction last night when you heard that? Yeah, I fell asleep actually before the birdie, I mean, I had a big answer. I woke up to the news this morning, yeah, it disappointed, I mean, lucky to team out of hours, and we really want them to be out there, so I'm sure that the club will explore all the options that they've got, and we'll see how it plays out. How much will that alter your role if he doesn't play it the weekend in terms of time you spend on bull? Yeah, I'd say I would spend a little bit more time in there if he doesn't play, which I'm completely used to, I mean, last year I played a lot more inside,

and this year, the way that Zach Bailey and Will are going in there, I've been on a wing since I've come back, so yeah. If he doesn't play, I'd say I'll play maybe a little bit more inside time, but we also prepare differently for different teams, and yeah, we've still got to do our, we did our part pre-b yesterday, but we'll patch up with Brucey, Care Bruce, Amidfield Coach later on in the weekend and sort of see what the set of answer rotations look like and who's going to be in there, depending on whether they're boxing there as well or not. Did you watch Friday night? You were watching a 40, did you sit down and watch the Sydney Swans in the FRAA game? Yes, I did, I sat down and watched it, I thought it was a great game. I thought Sydney really challenged them. They brought great pressure like they did. When were you playing against FRAA, and FRAA's ability in a hostile environment to bounce back in that last quarter, and play some amazing footing, get the job done, I thought it was a really mature effort by them, so no doubt they're going to be ready for the occasion,

even though it's their first grand final, and it's going to be another ripping game. You've had plenty of experience on Grand Final Day. What does your Grand Final routine look like in terms of, from the moment you wake up until the time you get to the ground? What do you try and do? Yeah, it actually goes pretty, pretty quickly to be honest. I'll pop up and go for Brecky down at Square and Compass with, probably ten of the boys, we always had down there every year, and they've been great to us. They said it's a lot of big table for us, so that's good. What do you have here? What's the Grand Final? Breakfast look? A couple of post-deafs on toast, sort of, a bit of an arrow, nothing to be silent guys. No steak? Yeah, my mum and dad, all my family will be down there, so I'll catch up with them for coffee. Meet Morning and then Botan has done pretty much there. No big juicy steak? No, no, it's tall. Maybe a couple of us, four of you, maybe a good steak ass, as you can recommend there. It lambs fry and there as well, be good. That's when you get back home, that's when you go and grab yourself a big steak

down there and be more than able to. You've jumped on a couple of times for us throughout the year, and we love it mate, and we're big fans, and the fact that you guys are there again is going to make it pretty special. Either free are going to be celebrating there first, or you guys are going to be celebrating your third on the bounce. So huge storylines out of this game. And thanks for joining us this morning. No worries, thanks guys, thank you. Good luck, Bags, good luck. What did you call him? I called him Bags. Well he doesn't know that he's calling Bags, he might be thinking. That's his nickname Gary. It's not his nickname. That's his nickname. Well you guys, that's what Fags calls him Bags. Who told you that? I heard Fags calling Bags. Not sure about that. Well we started calling him Carry On, and we were corrected by Fags. He said no, he's nicknames as Bags. Good country boy. He's a river. Down to earth, salt of the earth, and just square and compass. I don't know whether he should have said that, because there's going to be about 15,000 Brisbane lines and we're waiting outside square and compass

to breakfast on Saturday morning. I know where that is, but I'm just down the road from the pool, my hotel, where they're staying. How would you've gone with that kick? Would you've done what he did? Would you have tried to speed up the whole thing? I think I'm the left just a little bit. I'm a little bit too up just for increasing degree of difficulty. No, I don't ever underestimate. So they're behind that stage. Yeah. So no, I don't underestimate the pressure that comes on with that. But he did leave 18 seconds on the clock, but he got a stick to your routine and he had the Yips at one stage, Huey, about three or four years ago. And he's got himself to be a pretty reliable kick now and then bang straight through them. He kicked three clutch calls. He did. And those distances that he was kicking from, they're like that tidla really teasing often. That's when the little man jumps on your shoulder type distance. Too unta. My word. Stewie's got him, Stewie's texture is said he's got Huey for the Norm Smith. It'd be a pretty fair bet too.

He's proven himself to be a big, big time player, humor-cluggage. Hey, 730 News is upon us. We'll keep going with our pre, well, build up to this grand final. We'll have a chat with Mickey Barlow. He's a great man. Mickey form a docker, of course. He's doing media work now. He's also involved at the North Melbourne Fuddy Club. Andrew Russell's going to join us today, 30. But after we have a chat with Mick, then we'll get into the lucky new. I know you want to talk about it. I know there's a lot of people who want to have a chat about this. So we'll have a chat with Mickey Barlow. Then we'll unpack the whole lucky new situation. One of their best ones is one of them. Have you taken anything for it? What? Have you taken anything for it? What? Well, you said you had Kylie fever this morning. Wow, I wouldn't hurt you to get a bit of Kylie fever. I wouldn't hurt you to get a bit of... Have you got something at Kenis' warehouse that you treat that for? I wouldn't hurt you to get a bit of... Have you got something at Kenis' warehouse that you treat that for? You're broken out in a Kylie rush. I'm up in a bath for the granny. What did you do with that T-shirt that they gave you last night? The Kylie Solution. The Solution.

Andrew Brakeshaw is fucked to his last night. He was great. He was fantastic. That story about the letter. I thought that was last year. That was six years ago he wrote that. He put them in the lockers. Now here it is. It's never been true right now. If they win the first, they will be immortal. We've got to get a break away. We want to get to Michael Barlow right on the dot. But Angus Brakeshaw has graduated from the University of Oxford. He's been over there studying with his wife Danielle. Angus has, yes. They were then going to travel for a few weeks. But he's on the way home. He's winging at home right now because he wants to be here for Grand Final. What a big story that of him. Angus haven't won a premiership with the demons in 21. And now Andrew is brother running around in the Grand Final for Freo. It's a buddy good story. It is. It's a great story and there have been a big football family, the brachial family. Let's get a break. We've got to hit right on the mark because Mickey Barlow is a very busy man. We get more of the Freemano docus perspective with Mickey Barlow

and then after we have a chat with him, let the Wisp loose on Locky Neal. Breakfast with Gary and Tim. It's all right. When the Freemano footy car bar in town, we haven't got all over in West Australia, all the former greats. But then this name always comes up. Always. And we're talking about Michael Barlow. He was there when they had a crack at it in 2013, Grand Final, Semifinal, Prelim. He's been a few clubs since he's doing some coaching now with North Melbourne and he's a great man to talk to. Good day Mickey. Morning guys, Tim. Yeah, most of them ever in the West, but they're all the way over. Are they? The WA greats will be here by today or tomorrow. Are they coming on mass? Who just run through? Who's the fifth coming over? Well, Pavy, you probably come down. Mundy, Sandlands. Yeah, you've named all the heavy hitters. I operated in more of the areas of the Leesburg, the Zach Dawson.

Yes. Hayden Valentine's actually driving over a purple bus with 50 crusted on, somewhat enough supporters. They're getting over in all sorts of ways that Ballas, I think they left Tuesday and I think he's ready to get here. I think he's at an office of the personnel on the bus. That's a trip. That's a trip. That is a long trip. I mean, when you paint a picture of the dockers and the free manifold football club for us, the one that you represented over there in WA, what is it about this club? Because they've got their own peculiarities. Yeah, yeah, that's special play. For my own personal experience, I played seven years. And you walk in and straight away, you feel like you're an underdog in the environment. You go to a two-team town where West Coast is a big brother and I arrived in 2010 was my first year and what was that 15 years into the existence of Frio?

I hadn't had a huge amount of success when you were pre-limbed and maybe another finals campaign. Prior to that, and then we were able to have a period of time. A period of competitiveness and being around the market. It's been a long time coming. It's been a big build. You always feel like you're the underdogs that the Sean McManus video earlier in the week. When he was asked to be the presenter of the cup, I think something's up really well. He's a motion attached to the play, which is really special to a lot of people. It's a club that's at the fight really hard for its existence in the landscape. As a mood of a football club, if you can determine this, is there a similarity between the two clubs that you can feel or are they completely underlike? My three years at North, you do feel similar vibe.

I was just speaking to someone about this last night. A club like North has been around a lot longer than Frio. The working class nature, the old Shinbona heritage, which you get brought in behind the curtain as to what that means. You get inducted into the club at North and Frio is fairly similar with the docks and the warfies and the blue collar nature of it. The North existed on I back in the day. They didn't have much in terms of facility and whatnot and Frio has existed in their first couple of years. I know the players themselves have to hook up trailers and put lockers in trailers and re-like Kate from ground to ground across three seasons. A lot of history and a short time at Frio. Mickey Balow, we're talking to the former docker who played in their only other grand final. Mickey, tell us this is an interesting point I reckon.

There's the demands of travelling. I was in Perth only a couple of weeks ago and I know I'm much older now. But having to jump on a kite every second week and come over and play 40 and go back. I can't work out how Monday played as many games as he did and those boys that could have survived so long. How punishing is that? It is. But again, it's the reality of it. I think I know the period of time I played and the current day players would be approaching it very similarly. The bonds you build on those trips are incredible. I think Interstate sides become incredibly connected by the time you spend together with these trips. Like the long haul, the longer plane flights, the couple of nights away, we used to come. I think they do the same nowadays two nights before the game and just spend time with your team mate and your staff members,

which builds the connection of the club. Back in the MyCurry, they started to give us access to some business class tickets, which was nice. I never quite got up there. There was more your Sandland Fires, Pavlechus, Monty. That speaks to their career going for 300 plus, not only being 140. But I looked as positive as we had a mantra of anywhere any time and to be able to go on the road and be 22 against sometimes 50,000 or 60,000 was embraced. Talking to you former Docker great, Michael Barlow and he's currently at North Melbourne, one of the assistant coaches there. Have you put your head into the ring there for the coaching job, Mick? It's a strong saying, isn't it happened with the ring? Analogy? Look, my personal experience, I'm three years at North and I did head of development for a couple of years and now an assistant coach.

I'm just trying to build up. Firstly, I want to get to that point in time where I want to be a head coach when I have a football club. But it's about building out your resume, getting your debts and debts of experience. Whether I'm a little bit short in that in terms of the tactical assistant side of things, perhaps. Do you think you're ready or not? Do you think you're ready yet or not? No, that's true. A different level of coached my own side at VFL level. I absolutely love it. The exposure coaching on side, but whatever level it is, you get exposed to everything and everything that comes with it. That has given me great confidence and belief that when the opportunity arises for me, I'll be ready to rock and roll. As a former Golden Valley great, I think it's incumbent upon me to give you some advice. I'd get rid of Buckley and Delidio if you want some credibility in the Barker place.

That probably would be your first step if you're serious about being a senior coach. That's it. You're alluding to the podcast. Yes. Weekly. I'm actually just on the way and to do it. Now, I know they're listening intently. They're a great relationship, though, it's too Dylan. Well, Dylan, he plays his role very nicely as the host. It has no idea about the modern game of football. Is he playing the dumb man role? Well, I don't think he intends to. And he frustrates Brett to knowing. Brett knows what he's talking about. Brett's got it all sorted out and Buckley just can't quite keep up with that. And before we let you go, who wins this game this weekend? Yeah, I've got to go with three men. I think he turns into my history with the club and what it may. And what it would mean to the joint if you saw the pictures in the prelim. If they can get the result on Saturday, that joint will really blow up.

But I think it's going to be a tough ask in terms of the depth of talent and experience Brisbane have. I think they have an edge in a bit of class and experience. But the emotive nature of me, I've got a tip for you. I'm going to go with a real smokey for the Norse myth as well. I'm going to go with Matt Johnson. I really embrace the role player this time of year. And Matt Johnson's one that he'll come from the Clare TV used to get the Norse myth. But he'll be my tip for the Norse myth. I'm not sure he's a business class operator, so that'll be a good win for me to give you a many Johnson. I love talking to you. I'm passed on to those two boys still on the bread that we're fans as well and we love them. I good luck to the free man of 40 Club mate and I'm sure you're going to enjoy the weekend. You only got to enjoy the week. I mean, he ball over there too. I love reading between the lines. He's ready to go. He's ready to go. North Melbourne are looking for a first time inexperienced type coach. They don't want a second time out. They want somebody that's fresh.

All the stuff I hear about Mickey Barlow, maybe he's short on a little bit of stuff there. You can take Buckley and Delidio as he's said. Well, you just said that Dill's knows nothing about the game. No, I didn't say that. No, you said he was a sharp as a bowling ball. No, I said he's playing the drum roll. Based on what? What you're listening to. We're playing it well. You're recording his own flinos, he's 40. Derrick is going to have a cracker that I don't want. I reckon he's just, he needs another year or two. Oh, really? Yeah. I thought, I just thought he kind of said, oh, technically, you know, maybe I need a little bit more. Yeah, but then he covered it up pretty quickly. Yeah. I'd support him. My word, I would. He's not interesting. We'll talk about this after eight o'clock though. But that whole North Melbourne thing, I'm really interested in. Now we know that John Longmayh has removed himself. And we know that Simoz removed himself. And based upon what we're reading, and I believe this to be true, that North Melbourne are giving them signals that second time around coaches haven't necessarily been the answer.

Yeah, it's a big call. Ten exact. I think the whole thing's in exact. Of course it is, but that is a big cause. Oh, my word. We'll talk. I'm looking forward to hearing from Johnny Longmayh tonight. Work out why exactly he must. Mr. Rickenhorse is going to tell you everything. Everything. You can't put the less away with that. Okay, we're going to talk, we're taking a break out of eight o'clock. Locky Neil, just give me, you think he has been. Will you tell me what you think? I don't want you to. No, it's quite. It's called a tease. Yeah, well, okay. I think that Locky Neil should be playing in the grandfile this weekend. And I'll give you a hundred reasons why he should be playing this weekend. You want to build it up a bit better. I'll give you a thousand reasons why he should be playing this weekend. Got it. Breakfast with Gary and Tim. Let's go. I did mention earlier that Richmond are doing some stuff, but then I didn't follow up on it. So Brett Ratten goes in as the head of coaching. Selwyn Griffiths, who's been at the Melbourne Fuddy Club and been enormously successful. The Melbourne Fuddy Club have been a very fit, hard running side.

He's been poached as the head of strength and conditioning. And Nick Austin has been poached as the head of recruiting and list management. So they're major, major additions that have been added to the Richmond Fuddy Club. That's a major reset. Yes, it. That's a great set development. Yep. Hey, Tim, you can have a thousand reasons. Neil should be playing, but I'll give you the one reason he's not and the only one that matters. He punched somebody off the bull. Snap, juice, snap. Our respect Rob's opinion from Bayswater. Well, marginally, I respect it because at the end of the day, I don't think he watched the Granny Vision because he didn't punch him. He went. That is not a punch. He's not going to be wacky. That's a round arm wack. That's what he whacked him. Yeah, but hang on. This is about nuance. So the nuance here is that it wasn't a punch. No one can call it up. Hasn't had to be. It wasn't. No, but to this point, he's talking about the fact that he punched him in the gut. The whole idea in the gut. The whole idea of the rule interpretation and getting harsher on this particular act on

the football field was around punching. If you put up the Barry Hall in that preliminary final against St. Kool, you go back and have a look at the Barry Hall on the wire, that was a punch. Oh, hell far back. That was a full blooded punch in the gut that takes the air out of your sail. How do you swatted someone behind the ear? Would you have been happy with that? No, wouldn't have been. That's different. So we have to look at this in isolation. Yeah. That's what he actually did. He either wacked him or he didn't wack him. But that's completely. If you whack somebody in the head, then I'll have a completely different. We'll pick it up after eight. Breakfast with Gary and Tim. Okay. We're going to do this in because this is what we do. We love passion and we love debate and we love disagreement. That is what makes the world go around. We don't like abuse. So you can have a different opinion to Tim. Don't abuse him. You can have a different opinion to me. Don't abuse me either. We won't abuse you. But we can disagree respectfully. So Lockhe Neil Baan out upheld.

He's going to miss the grand final. It was deemed to be intentional. Neil, these are the facts of the case. Neil admitted he was aware of the crackdown on intentional strikes. No evidence of a fist, but considerable enough to knock in of an over. Off ball behind the play strike to an unsuspecting opponent. They said they had no problem finding him guilty. He's been guilty four times before. He can go to the AFL, appears ball. Now, they're compelling in exceptional circumstances that got Pendlebury and Gary Abelot off. They were deemed to be careless incidents. This has been deemed to be an intentional incident. Not a split second thing that happens, but an intentional for the fourth occasion found guilty of the strike to the body. So the exceptional and compelling circumstances was unapplied. They're just the facts. Well, that's how it's been deemed to have arrived at this point right now. Right. Okay. Well, let's just look at this again. Okay. There were match for a swinging arm that based on the grainy, inclusive video Evans was forceful enough to knock in of an office feet, but not enough to wind him.

He got up straight away. He wasn't hurt at all. So you'd have to say the force wasn't severe in any way. Media impact. Well, I would say it's low impact. Yeah. I could argue it's low impact. I could argue about it. I could say that it's low. Okay. A grand final penalty for an action like that is extremely harsh. And I say to you and I say to everybody out there, does the penalty fit the crime? Does that penalty fit the crime? And I say it doesn't because I would put a higher level of importance upon a grand final upon a final and a threshold should be raised as a consequence of that for these actions. That's not the case. But it should be. Well, it should be scary. No, but just listen to me because it should be. And I know you would agree with me that a grand final has a greater level of importance in every possible way than any other game that we play throughout the course of the year. And it's not to say that somebody would get off a penalty that was four weeks.

They might get it downgraded to three. You wouldn't necessarily get off. But a penalty for a week for what Locky Neal did on Saturday night does not justify him missing a grand final. That does not justify that. That's a different argument though. Like you say. It's the same thing connected to what we're talking about. So you were saying that everyone. I'm saying that you could say I'm saying what you could do is you could downgrade that penalty back down to him not missing a game. And he could have a suspended one match penalty as a result of that because I think the games that lead to grand finals need to be looked with a different lens and other games throughout the course of the year. That's a different argument if you don't mind me saying. No, that's related to the penalty that you're saying the waiting for a grand final. But you'd be happy for him to be suspended for home and away then. Yes, I would be. I think it's different. I think there is a difference. And there's nuance associated with that as well. There's nuance associated with all these things. There's nuance associated with some people think it was a punch. I don't believe it was a punch.

I think it doesn't have to be a punch though. No, no, no. There's people here arguing and saying Gary, you're an idiot. As I said, I'm not going to abuse you. So don't abuse me or Tim. It doesn't have to be a punch. No, no, it can be a strike. And that was a strike. So I'm that hard and hit him in the head. What do you reckon would happen? Well, completely different. Yeah, and that's completely different. No, that's not going to be a punch, does it? No, but that's completely different because then we're talking about something which actually hits their head. And we know that that's taken more seriously than something that hits the body. Well, not really because Greg swung the clear. If you punch and wax someone in the guts, then you're going to go. Yes, he did. Yes, he did. But we also know that it would be graded differently if it was hit in the head as opposed to the body. We know that. That's right. Because there's sensitivity around the head. Not necessarily the size of the body. I would argue that what Locky Neil did is no more violent or no more than what he would expect at probably just about every stoppage that he attends when he's got, when he's, sorry, I know that's in play. I understand that. But that's, he could reasonably expect that or not expect that at a stoppage.

Not in this case. I agree with you. I agree with you. This was off the play. But there were also, it's also been pointed out to me when they got Barry Hall off all those years ago, they argued successfully at the time, the tribunal, they at the tribunal, they argued successfully that even though it was off the ball, it was still considered in the play because. That was a reward. No, no, no, it was very horrible enough as a reward. No, no, no, I understand. But this is what they accepted at that time that it was within 50 meters of where the ball was. Therefore, you could reasonably assume that you were in play at the time. I repeat, that was a reward. Well, you said it's a reward. I know that was a, I say it was a technicality and that that was what occurred back in those days. But you know that that was not in play. Answer me this, then. Do you believe there's a, there should be or there could be or should be. So let's say it should be a greater threshold around penalties applied where somebody should miss a grand file. Yes or no? I think you open Pandora's box. Pandora's box has been open for a long, long time and no one's in a hurry to shut it.

I know. I think this could have been downgraded to low in which case he would have got a fine and then he would have been able to play. Okay, so you can see that. That's the way that he could have got off. But you can see that. I said, put on that point, are you conceding that? I said it could. It could have been downgraded to low. But I will say this and I'll say it again. I have no sympathy for Loki. Loki chased him down off the ball off the ball. Yeah, not all that. I agree with it all. Swung the fist, swung the arm. Yep, all of that's true. Right. So then you put yourself in this position where you go, or is it going to be low? Is it going to be a medium? Yes, right. And then we have to look at the act itself and then we have to judge the penalty based upon the act. And I go back to my original point. Does the punishment fit the crime? Does that? I put to you. I put to you that when this is revisited in 50 years time, people will shake their heads. And I'll point to that time in history when the game took a huge step towards non-contact. That's what I'm saying to you right now. In 50 years time, we'll point back to this day.

This year, 2026, we'll point to that. The same grainy vision will be shown to somebody in 50 years time. I don't know whether it will be robots or whatever we might be there in 50 years time. And some will say, that's when the game took a turn for the worse. And that's the first step towards non-contact AFL football that we received. I think that's the emotive clap trap that usually comes around at this time. I can go back 50 years and show someone get king hit, knocked out, thrown in the ground, and say, and point to the fact that this is when the game was going. No, this is different. No, this is different. Well, at some stage, you're going to take a stand. No, no, no, no, there's a prep behind someone off the ball and whacken them. It was described as a body check. I wouldn't have described it. I wouldn't have described as a body check. And I think they went down the wrong path even trying to do that. But it wasn't a punch. It was a whack. But if he wanted to really hurt him, he would have clenched his fist and hit him in the gut properly and taken the wind out of it.

He didn't do that. So you actually have to look at the force. You have to look at the result of the force. And the result of the force suggests to me that you shouldn't miss a grand final based upon that particular act. That is an arguable. The force is an arguable point. The fact that he hit him off the ball, not in play, had time to think about what he's doing. All those other ones were in play and doing to be careless because they're instinctive. And he took three, four, five places, looked at him and went, swung his arm, punch on, no punch, knocked him off his feet, and then ran off into off the ball. Yeah, all that is true. All that is true. So when you do that, you put yourself into this parlor situation, particularly on preliminary five. And that's where we're right now. Where are you going to miss a grand final? That's where we're at now, but that's why I'm arguing that he shouldn't miss a grand final. Mitchell's in Sydney. Good morning, Mitchell. Hello. Hey, Mitchell, how are you? How are you going? Hi, can you hear me? What, yet we can. Loud and clear. Thanks a lot for taking my call. Just in relationship with conversation. I ruled it was a rule.

It was a dog act. He should not be playing in the grand final. But anyhow, I'm a lifetime horse from the bottom. I've been privileged to witness 11 premierships in my life since 1976. I traveled down from Sydney to watch them in absolutely incredible match. Were my Jeff Bennett jacket from my Bangkok tailors at the top of the shame one stand. Question without notice. Have you gentlemen ever witnessed three free kicks to one team in the last minute that decided to match? No, but they're all there, Mitchell. The one in the middle, the one in the middle hasn't been discussed at all. Which ones are you actually make any dangerous or you know, personal contact? I don't. Which one? The one on the one on the one that's all go. Yeah, hit him in the head. Clear as day, Mitchell. Click with his finger. I think you got you got your Hawthorne goggles on, Mitchell. Okay. Can I just see if funny story to end our discussion? So I have a very nice MX5 toy.

Which I'm covered over 2000 kilometers from Sydney and back. And on the way back, I pulled into a service station at Neroa to fill it up. And I had my Hawke's scarf out the passenger side window. And I went in and paid for the petrol and then had to form some of Lucian. So by the time it came back, the MX5 had been fitting there doing nothing for quite a few minutes. And there's another customer and he called out who owns that Hawke's MX5 over there. No, but all that's me and he came back. I thought it was German MP. Got any Mitchell appreciate you call funny. They should have been performing yesterday at the Van Senc, or whatever. We've got a full schoolable. We'll take a break. We'll try and get through. So call Matthew, Chris, the Richard Neal. We'll get to messages. Go on crazy, which we'd expect. Again, I want to repeat. We on this program can be respectful in disagreeing. It's a motive to don't have to lose all respect for Tim because you disagree with him. All lose all respect for me because I've got a different opinion than you.

It is this is just the way that we go about this. So our audience in the main are pretty good. Bring it on. I say bring it on Gary. Tim's not a flaw. I'm going to I'm going to I'm going to I'm going to be a good Johnny from Epic bringing me on the private line. No, no, no. We'll take it break. We'll get to as many callers as we can. Breakfast with Gary and Tim. I repeat, never has ever been a response like this. So I just want to cut the things in with throw open to our call as Tim. Barb says as the mother of three boys, I'm begging you to stop bickering. It's tire-simplisting. Sorry, Barb. You're going to get a bit of bickering today because not everyone agrees. If we put the 700 messages that we got of all these people in the one room, this, what do you reckon would happen? It'll be the greatest punch on of all time because everyone's got a different opinion. Right. This is the bottom line. It's so just make it as passionate as you are about your view. There are just no, not as many people out there that have a different view to you. On one hand, you got your and you did Tim. I've lost all respect. We've got to stand by the game.

Then Gary, you're clearly afraid by a stooge who's trying to push and they have held agenda. None of that is true, but we have opinions which might be different to yours. We've got a full-border calls. Let's get through as many as we can. I understand that we need you to get on my point and let everyone ever say. Kyle, good morning. Good morning, boys. I just want to say I agree with both of you. Tim, I think there should be a waiting for grand finals and prelims. But gathers the stupidity of the off-the-board accident just max a little bit of selfishness to me. Given the AFL tendency to do and change rules on the move, do you see in the next 24 hours, I'm saying, look, try out lock-in-eel, massive fine. Don't do it again, slap on the wrist. Have the best players play on the ground for on the weekend? I don't think they'll do that now. They've got the right to go to the appeals board, which they'll take up, I'm sure. So it can be overturned. It needs to be on an era of law. Prove that it's an unreasonable decision or it's manifestly excessive sanction or manifestly excessive classification call. So that's the avenues that are open to bring in.

What has push ahead Pete to in the NRL? He said, well, Brooks says they've got a... They've got a special consideration for penalties around this time of the year. Yes or no? I'll go to Matthew while you're finding that. Matthew's in Ringwood. Good morning, Matthew. Good morning, guys. I agree with both of you in Tim, especially. It's more of a slide on get... Because he felt down like, you know, kind of bricks fell on him. About two or three minutes earlier that we prompted the reaction from Neil. Yeah, the look of what given was doing it to... I'll come remember. I think it was they were... Someone from... You know, he's punching me. Eric... Eric Hibble was. Yes, one is on the ground. Yeah. Good morning, Matthew. Appreciate it. The NRL have got a final series, extra lifeline. Third offense fine. During the regular season of play, it only except the fine for their first two grade winoffences. If they committed third, it normally triggers a suspension. But they give him a extra lifeline in the final series.

Might be worth looking at. Yep. That sounds like a common sense approach to that type of offense. Chris is in talk here. Good morning, Chris. Yeah, hi. Hi, guys. Horsen supporter here. Look, if you go after the letter of the law, as everyone's been saying during the Horsen lines game, by the letter of the law, he intended to and struck Ginoven in the guts. We're supposed to stamp this thing out apparently. But now what you're saying to him is that, because he's playing in the grand final, we should allow that to go through. So we're telling our kids all of a sudden that, if you don't, clench your fists and punch him in the guts, you should be okay to play in the grand final. Well, there's a bit more nuance to it than that, Chris. But we appreciate your view. Steve's in Melton. Good morning, Steve. Yeah, hey, Tim. I got some bad news for you. I was on your side and locking the nails, getting off until you started arguing. You made a case, the best case for him to be suspended,

because you kept on changing what you were saying. I personally think that they should have called Ginoven. I don't understand why they didn't call Ginoven. Steve, just on that point, where did I change what I said? The way you were talking and rambling on, and I know it's a rambling show, but you were rambling on. About what? Just give me a specific answer where I'll change my opinion. You were just confusing what you were saying. No, no, I was agreeing. I was agreeing. No, no, no, no. I was agreeing with what took place. But what I have said categorically is the penalty itself, and there should be more consideration given around this, because of the grand final. You don't just say you appreciate it. They don't call Ginoven. They don't call players, because it became apparent that players... They will say what happened. They just say you know what's happened in the past, because the players get called in, and they walk in with stitches over their eye and a broken cheek and say, no, no, didn't hit me. Oh, Pete's in Prang, hey, Pete. Morning, boys. Firstly, just quickly on the cue, McLuggish, on I Chris,

again, a... Fagging calls him, bags, I'll call him the Scottish Sukade, just an FYI. No, no, no, no, no, no. On this one, I'm... It's very, very sad that it's going to miss out. To the literal law, it is guilty, and I think they prosecuted the wrong way. They should have played on the issues he faced in his personal life through the year for his exceptional circumstance. I would have played that cup. Oh, Pete, appreciate it. Richard's in Nariwara, and go Rich. Good morning, boys. I couldn't wait to have an extra wait on the final series, as he gives the players a free hit. That's what you're doing. You're saying, oh, look, boy, did all of the OK, don't worry about it. How about people take responsibility for their actions? He's run 20 metres. He's had plenty of time to decide, is this mild or not? And he's chosen to do it. So somebody's got to take responsibility. And I'm sick and tired of the AFL. We just palm the responsibility of anyone else. You think it's part of that? Go ahead Rich. It's starting part about this week.

It's another week where we wonder or not with a Rocky Neil plan a grand final. That's what we do. Richard, we talk about all the things that are going on in the game, and sometimes they're big, sometimes they're small. But I can tell you right now, this has got a major temperature above 100. Has it ever? It's going crazy. But as I keep saying, opinions are fine. Abuse no good. Neils in Port Melbourne. Go ahead Neil. Good morning, Jen. So I think today is just shown why Tim is so respected. I think he's gone to another level. I think you should have a segment calling it the Denny Crane section and call it Tim Watson. Because I think he's made the point that everybody keeps missing. There is inconclusive evidence. So decide all of that. There's inconclusive evidence. You cannot see it's the fist and use. And it's clearly what could be rather than a punch. And that goes on all day throughout you. What about when what's his name? Cox kicked that that goal.

He may, you know, he went back and shared front of the one of them, one of the players. What about Ginoven the act beforehand? I mean, that's the whole thing. If he gets suspended for this, what about Ginoven on top of a guy pushing his head into the ground twice? I mean, I think he's going to be going to be able to do it with Gelle. It's got to spend it for four weeks. I don't know. Appreciate it. I don't want to cut you off. We have got 300 calls waiting to get on here and we've got three minutes. So, Craig, appreciate you call that Craig. No, Terry's in West Australia. There's a good idea, Gary. Tim. I told him. If an umpire had seen that, that action happening and paid a free kick to the other day of the Hawthorne Guard when it was only 20 seconds to go and Ginoven, whoever, kicks the guard, Hawthorne win. Lockhe doesn't get to play and Aiden or 23 Hawthorne players need to play. So, they need to take that into consideration too, I think. Appreciate you waiting on there for Western Australia. No, Pete.

No, Pete's in Taringindy. Good morning, Pete. I get it, boys. I am in Brisbane, but I'm not a Brisbane supporter. I guess my point is a bit like an arch-review. If the umpires had cited it, you couldn't overturn it, but the fact that no umpires actually cited it, there's no way, and even the review came back said, in the case that there is no single vision that clearly shows Lockhe Neil's arm hitting Jack Ginoven. It actually said it in the findings. So, how did you get reported? How did he get suspended? No, the finding didn't say that. I have to find the actual wording of it again. It didn't have to be a pun. That was what they did it, so Pete. It was so strong. It was so strong without having a clinch fist, but I'll try and find that for you. Craig's in Park, though. Can I cry? Oh, yeah. Just one other side with Gary, I think the issue here is that he's undertaken an act that he didn't actually know the consequence when he did it from behind. It was clear from the start of the season that they were going to be resolved in fans.

The only option is his previous record, which they've decided does pass. Pass muster. So, unfortunately, the consequence for him will be missing in the right final. Frank and Craig, appreciate it. Mark and you're missing Dricken Nobple and Nobby's success. I think there's a chance, for sure. Mark's in Strathmore. Good morning, Mark. Good morning, I'm just trying to line it up with the one that can use it. It can't cut from his no way. He shouldn't play in the grand final, he did it. He ran past the ball and knocked the block out. He didn't get sighted, they marked from memory, did he? No, he didn't. Oh, no, he did. No, he did. Yeah, he did. He did. They looked at it. No, sorry, I think they looked at it and they just, they didn't hand down a penalty. I didn't think they were. Yeah, I think you're right. Lee's in Monington, can I lead? I can, I can, boys. I just wondering like where we are as a coach, are we willing to ban the rules for certain circumstances? Like, I think locking nails should get off. I think people want to see the best players play. But with the, like, I'm a horse,

I'm supported with the horse on game. I think a 50, 50 call like that. And like the last three free kicks, I think it's better for the game to not have free kicks intervened with the result of the end of the game. And I think the main art block in the 28th and grand final, I think everyone prefers a domesheet kick that goal after. So I think as a whole, we're used to banning the rules for the greatness of the game. I just want to know where we are as a, as a coach, like what do the other listeners think? Well, we're finding out Lee right now. We've got two more calls before we got to take the 830 news. So we'll get through you, Johnny and Rick. Good morning to you, John. I think that's me. Yeah. I can't believe that I can't believe that nothing has been said about the get of them incident just prior with all my laying on his back. He's giving him three or four jumper punches. And the last one gets him clear in the jaw. I mean, that's not an excuse for Neil to make a very, very dumb decision and go running after him,

but I can't believe that that hasn't been started and looked at. Yeah, good. Yeah, good. I enjoy is it. Was that in play or out of play in your mind? Uh, out of play. Okay. So that there were, I would say that was a more. I would show more of a violent push to what like you did. Rick's in thormary. Good morning, Rick. 30 years ago, Barry, all the each sandwich wire out on the way, then I'm pressing it all year. It's been got away. Can he got off? Neil will get off. And Carla Bustle will give him the face of the flower. I think. All right. Good on you, Rick. I'll give you the final word just for now. And then Jared's going to come in. And I'm sure it'll pick up exactly where we leave off. The argument is clearly 50, 50. Give Lockier 50% discount leading come on at half time last. Like last year. What about that? Well, he had impact in a half a football last year. There's no reason why he wouldn't be able to do this. So again, there's only one caller, Barney, who out of all of those, I reckon we've had 600 in the last 20 minutes. And only one that was abusive enough to go into the file.

So Barney has anything as everything. As anything you read or anything that you've listened to there, changed your opinion in anyone. No, it hasn't, but I'm. You're a big loser like everyone. I've got an open mind and I'm not. In fact, I hope he placed him. Right. But I don't know whether he's put himself in the right position to play, given his actions. Well, there's another big topic out there that needs to be discussed. And we can do that when we come back. And that is the Sydney 5, Caroline Wilson reported last night that they will be meeting with the football club today. And I'm packing this. We'll do that after the break. Kim has far better knowledge on what Grand Finals mean. And the importance of them than Gary. Simple as that. But it's very true. Three, two, five, two, nine. Touch mean. But if it makes you feel better, it's true. Just kick a man while he's trying to have an argument. Kick a man in Grand Final week when he has to look across the table at someone that's enjoyed what I haven't. But hopefully that makes you feel better.

Well, I've copped one too. I've copped many. But we've all copped one here about the Tim's hatred for Hawthorne is elite. Oh, well, that's good because my hatred for Brisbane's elite. But this person loves it by the way. Jack Russell's one that he's just going to be part of this. Jack, we're on the midst of a storm. I've been interesting morning. I have been listening. Well, there's a big going on between you two. Definitely. Oh, no, it's all good, Nate. Respect between us. We're a spectacle. We're a spectacle. Never goes a get abusive like some of these pickles that I love the passion. Well, the so much theater in the game isn't there. It's just up and about and got opinions which is great. I was going to say there's so much theater in the game, especially with a big decision like this. And what's really interesting is externally, there's all this stuff going on around the Locking Hill situation. But internally, they're not talking about this at all. As in free-mantle, we'll be giving so little credit to this story. They'll just be getting on with things.

Right. It was actually, you would expect Justin on me last night on Aval 360. And we said, what do you make it against? I don't know. What haven't been final? We're just planning for Locking Hill playing. We're about the pressure on the coast. I'd put all the fakes. He's had everything thrown at him this year. I would say the road to a three-peat is paved with potels. It's a bumpy, bumpy journey, isn't it? We'll get back there three times in a row and win grand finals. Well, again, I'm not qualified to talk about it at all. Jack, but you've been insane at all. I mean, on the verge of doing something that is, I think, almost unthinkable. What's fascinating is what motivates a group. And everyone thinks it's the three-peat is motivating this group from the outside. At Hawthorne in 2015, I remember we spoke to the playing group in leadership meetings about this. And so what is actually motivating you? And the actual fact of winning three didn't really motivate him at the time. What motivated him at the time was getting their pants pulled down versus West Coast in the qualifying final in 2015.

Being embarrassed in that game, switched him on. It was unbelievable to see internally how much they needed something to spark them. And that's what sparked them. And you could say that Brisbane have gone through exactly the same situation here. Andrew Russell, who's been involved with five premierships throughout his time in AFL 40s, whether he's going to share some of his thoughts and memories. And we'll take a break from our mate, sausage-gossage. The Long Me or Coach Bus with Hayden Bellenthein on it that's crossing the nullable. It's broken down. 700 kilometers short of Adelaide. Has it really? Apparently. That's going to upset Maddie Scarlett because he's at the border waiting for... Bellenthein. Who's back after this? Wellness Wednesday with Andrew Russell for AMAC Sports Nutrition Range. Endurance athletes fuel your body correctly and upgrade your limits. Breakfast with Garriantin. Wellness Wednesday. Henley, Hard to Be, Ask How. Andrew Russell's with us for Wellness Wednesday and a very busy day. Grand Fawn or Week It Is. We've had a few issues with the app apparently, not everywhere, but Steve has blamed you for that. Steve has. He's got everything. We don't run the app Steve, so we're... But our people are on it at the moment. Now we've loved everybody's participation. That's been awesome. No, no, no, no. No, no, no. You're opinion is? Well, but one. Yeah, maybe one or two, but they were just personal. And we've got those really hot topics in the game right now. We love you sharing your views. Go Devon Outlet. Hey, tell me this Jack. How those two preliminary file teams, this is a request I've had. How are they going to pull up from that game? So Sydney have come flying over the top of free, man. Who's in better physical shape? Whereas the Brisbane and Hawthorn game was one for the ages. And unbelievably competitive. I think they're both going to come through. Well, let's have a look at Brisbane first. Brisbane have only won the run data versus their opposition three times in the last two. What's the end of that?

Yes, exactly. The amount of spring efforts versus your opposition, the amount of distance you cover versus your opposition, which is something when you look at work rate and game of 40, there's inside work rate, which is the pressure number, and there's outside work rate, which is run. Both important. Infinals, inside work rate, pressure numbers. So important. And more important than the run data. But interestingly, Brisbane only three times in the last two years have won the run data versus the opposite. Because they play that mark kick mark game. They control the game and they take the power out of the opposition. Right. They run out of the opposition. But they run less than the opposition because they're so efficient. Right. So how wearing was that game last weekend? That looked like it was a really taxing running game against Hawthorn. Well, it was. And it certainly was for Brisbane because they very, very rarely win this data. So for them to win that means that they've had to really work hard to win that game. So both pressure and run for them was very, very high. So they've gone to the wire doing that game. Three men will haven't gone to the wire. Their run data are just interestingly during the final series has been really low.

And I followed this over years and years and years. Whenever you have low run data versus Europa, especially in big games, you generally come out the next week fresh and full of run. So, you know, freeo freshers says Andrew Russell. Yeah. And their last three games. They're five, they're three finals games. Three men all have been high pressure and low run. To be fair, their first game, Colliband Final, their work rate wasn't high. There's Hawthorn. So run and pressure wasn't high, but since then they've really ramped up their pressure. But their run hasn't been high. So given where you've been and what you've worked on over the years, does this make a big difference going into a grand final or not? Well, I think it does. And certainly, I've researched this a lot. And the teams that I work with, it was definitely a pattern, definitely a strong pattern. We played two pre-limin finals at Hawthorn. We won by under a goal. Everyone said we were really, really fatigued. We were gone. We didn't finish the game well. I looked at the data after and said, yeah, it was a high taxing game in terms of pressure,

but low run. And the run is the, that's the element that fatigues players. When you've got a high running game, that's the bit that takes longer to recover. A high pressure contest game. They recover within a couple of days. That's actually not that taxing on the body. So I followed it closely. And those two pre-limin finals that we just got over the line, we looked for teagued next week. We came out absolutely flying and won the grand final by a significant margin. But you're saying that's Brisbane this year, this, if you were to compare it this year, who just got over the line in a taxing game, but you're saying the run data... Well, their run data was high though. So they both had high pressure and high run versus Frio. High pressure game, but their run wasn't that high. Yep, got it. What about from a pre-limin final, injury point of view? What's the hardest decision you've had to go get through in terms of whether someone plays or not? Ironically, this time last year was all about lucky Neil and whether he would or wouldn't with the ankle. They played him, he came on just before, or just after half time, and nearly one of norms with metal. Oh, every grand final have been part of, there's been an issue during the week.

There's never been a simple and easy and clean run. And even though no one knows about it, there'll be issues behind the scenes that will come out after the game. And they'll tell the story and you'll say, well, we had no idea that was going on. I mean, we had 2012 Burgheim with his senders, Moses, in 2013, we had Josh Gibson who had hamstring tendon issue, the whole final series that we thought might blow at any stage. 2014 was obviously the serial one with hamstring and Jordan Lewis had a cork guy that we didn't know was going to get up to the last minute. 2015 was Gunston with an ankle. And even during the week, you can have issues. So 2008, the main training session on a Thursday going into the Saturday game, we used to do a goal kicking session in the morning at 830 in the morning. So all the players would go down there to run their own goal kicking session. So Thursday, there's 5,000 people there at 830 in the morning to watch training. Buddy Franklin goes out to do a goal kicking session with all the forwards. And I hear the crowd going up. I would never go down for this session.

The crowd's going crazy and berserk and I looked out the window and he is buddy kicking goals on the run from 60 meters out. And I'm thinking you are kidding. What are you doing? So I rushed down to get him off. And he made the decision to come up at that stage. So we then go into a team meeting at 930. He stands up out of that team meeting and he walks straight to me and he says, Jack, I think I've done my hamstring. My left hamstring is that tight. And so I go straight to the physio. We tested him. Every test we did suggested that he had a hamstring injury. So we had treadcrowed. There was struggling to get up for that game as well. So we went out and trained at 11 o'clock. Both those players didn't train. No one even picked it up. They were watching in the middle. They didn't train. They didn't run a step. They just did handball drills on the side. So we then send Buddy to get a scan after that training session. So I go into match committee at 1 o'clock. He went to get the scan at 1 o'clock. The coach said, do you think he's going to play? I did not believe in my heart of heart.

So he was going to play the physio. Andrew Lema said, we think he's got a low grade hand. He had a good chance to miss. I said to match committee, we're going to go into a scan. We just want to check to see what's going on. We think he's going to be right to play, but I didn't believe a word I said. But the only time I've ever done that in match committee. So I still remember driving down the freeway at 3 p.m. coming home from match committee. And a doctor rings me. Peter McQuay, shy, quiet guy. And he's, he's Jack. And it felt like a 15 second pause. I'm just like, Doc, just get to it. Just tell me, I remember where I was. I was at Springvale Road. And I'm thinking, just get it over in Dominique. He goes, Jack, there's nothing on scan. He's 100%. And I remember, people will know me, don't get emotional about these things. I remember fist pumping in the car. And he was going down the freeway. And everybody played by the way. He was okay. He wasn't amazing. He came the next day. He still had signs, but he was better. And then Grand Fowler day felt 100%. Great stories. We love it. Our audience loved it as well. We're going to have to get a break.

It's been a busy morning. As you appreciate who you're tipping for this big grand final on Saturday. As we discussed before, I'm going with freeman. Although I'm sticking to what I know. I'm going with the numbers. And I'm going with the fresh running team versus the team that played a high work rate and highly emotional game last week. I love it. Thanks so much, chef. You've done for us. I might use that run data instead. Between now and Grand Fowler. We're not going to repackage it. We're going to repackage it. We'll take it right here. Wait, please. Coming in. And he will be fine up. I can guarantee you that. Breakfast with Gary and Tim. I think it's a natural thing that the players will come into the club over the next period. I don't know exactly when that'll be. And the players at some point will have a chat. The broader group and the club. But yeah, there's no time. That's Matthew Pavlich. She's walking into the office today. Now it was reported last night on the agenda set as the players were going to meet today.

With the Sydney Football Club, including the other players at Pullman 5. We're talking about, we ran out of time. We're going to go into a podcast. We're going to do our podcast now. We'll talk about it further there. And you'll be able to catch up on the rabbit hole. I'm going to discuss it tomorrow. And I'm sure throughout the course of the day. But if the five, the Pullman 5 have met with the Sydney Swans today, that is a massive story. I've been thinking about this a lot. I don't know how this is going to unfold. I just don't. I still see that there's too many moving parts to this to come. Do you think they'll all be there preseason in three months, two months' time? Do you think they'll all be there on day one? Yeah, I think they will. Yeah, I think they will. Do you? I wouldn't be surprised if one or two. There's one. The one that's been reported is the most aggrieved in terms of the way they've been treated is Nick Blakey. And there are clubs out there that are trying to swing as hard as they can to ascertain whether or not he is getable.

Do you have the MCG OB life site? So he'll pick up eight at the nine o'clock news. This is Carol last night. Well, I can tell you, Kane, that tomorrow the five players who have been suspended by the club and banned from playing finals will return to the club and meet their teammates and address their teammates for the first time since the Pullman incident took place. All five. All five players I'm told are going to be there. Now, at last speaking to the spawns earlier tonight, they had still not decided whether those players led by Isaac Heaney, who is the favourite to win the best and fairest, would be welcome at that event and whether they would be eligible to win the award. I'm told that the players were still torn on that. So that, yeah, look, there's so many liars to this. So they've got a best and fairest to be played out. The whole likelihood is that one of them, I was like, will win that. How does that play? How does the supporters react? Are they at the best and fairest? Given they haven't been able to go to the brown low and precluded from all Australian selection?

Don't discount this element either, Gary. And that is the partners. And I'm talking about the commercial partners of the Sydney swans and the say that they will have in all this. I'm not saying it's going to be greater than anybody else's, but they will certainly be lent on in terms of what they believe about these players coming back in and whether they want their brand associated with a team that still includes those players. Whether it's proven that they've got some criminal activity or not. I mean, that is still as well. Because some of the major partners aren't exactly having got great track records in world events when you're looking at some of the airlines, for instance. This is the final word on the whole penalty with Locking Yeal 2. Tim has hit the nail on the head. So off the text. Cheers up.
