10:19Anything but the games would be good. And I always want to talk about the games. Yeah, I mean, like the games were asked, but I feel like there have been some big stories that have come out during this series that have postseason implications. And I feel like, you know, I hate to beat a dead horse, but ever since they lost three out of four in New York, that's all I've been thinking about is, all right, just get me to game one of the postseason. And I was vilified for, don't you just give it up on the socks you they could still win the division or the top wild card they could still catch the Yang. It's exactly what I said was going to happen. We are just going to be fucking board to tears as the raise when the division, the fucking Yankees, the top wild card, you're the second wild card. You weren't in danger of falling to the third wild card. This is what it is. We're just fucking sitting here the whole month of September waiting for things to be buttoned up, made official. You're going to the Bronx. Aren't it wasn't that one of the one of the big things today is that the Red Sox are sending scouts to New York, which like I don't understand why.

11:21Yeah, that's part of doing the job. Like that's just what the sport is. Yeah, the only thing I mean, you know, it's it's just every team does it, but it does kind of make it more official that you shouldn't feel bad about thinking, all right. Yeah, with the second wild card, the Yankees, the first wild card. It just is what it is. I know that we've already lived in this alternate universe in 2026, where the 1% of the 1% outcome is the thing that happened just by the Red Sox getting hot going on that streak. And that's the only reason why they're in the position that they're in right now is because that hot streak because I want to say, their last like 30, three games, their game under 500. Yeah, basically 500, the last month month. Yeah, 1819 over the last 37. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So like you were asked to start your kind of mediocre to finish. If not for that run, you're not a playoff team. But I always kind of think this is a thought that I had earlier today.

12:21I want to know if you guys agree. But would you rather kind of like, what's their winning percentage right now? No. So 542. Okay. Would you rather play 550 ball the whole year? Or would you rather have a chunk in the middle where you play 800 ball? And it's just like this is so it was so much fun. Like I get it. Like I already see Tyler shaking his head. No, he disagrees. But that's but like that is the difference of like 2018 is like they they played like, you know, 550 ball here and there. And then the beginning was 800 or the middle was 800. Like, I don't know. I think I would rather have a great time for a month and a half. Then kind of just like keep a steady pace and just make the playoffs. You know what I mean? Like that was so much fucking fun. That is such the you would like given up on the sport. Yeah, we all did last week. That was not fun.

13:23That was three months of misery. Yeah. But then how much fun was that run right? Like it was awesome. There was no there was no gradual like, hey, they're turning the corner. It was just like, why am best team baseball? We had one let down series and it was that national series and shit was popping off at that time. But could that was only the second series of the run. Yeah, I felt like I barely counted. But that's why I would take the just consistent good vibes and things are rolling well. I can understand people who like the highs that much, but I don't like the roller coaster. I've never been a roller coaster guy. I will say, Jerry, I'll take it this once instead of like if you're going to say consistently, what would you want? Yeah, I want a consistent season where for the first year we're going independent. I don't want the first three months to be we all want to blow our brains out. We haven't had consistent seasons too for like a long time. No, it's been a while. All right, I'm not saying would you rather have this red sock season in particular? But like if you're going to like don't be the worst team in franchise history and then the

14:24best team, like I'm just saying to get to whatever it's going to be called 90 wins, I would kind of maybe not be that good in the beginning in the end to like have that fucking middle run. It was so much fun. It was. And for when it happened to, right? 15 row. Right in the heart of the summer. Right in like the best days of the year, you got this team winning nonstop the vibes throughout standing like everyone's whether need beautiful. Right, everyone's naked. Last year. They can only be the giant version of this though. Like if you're looking for like a regular non historical summer, last year would be the example of this. I don't recall that being anything people were so down after the devour's trade. They could have a good. So down on that team. Yeah, but they didn't. And then the winning streak going into the all star role. No, but if we're talking about just a. Teaser disappoint everyone for two and like two months and a week or two, really three months going up to that Durand interview and then the switch flips and they make the playoffs and they go on this run before the all star break. That's like the non all time historic level version of it.

15:25Yeah, I mean, it was them and the J's with like the best record in the summer and maybe the brewers, but yeah, they were they were right up there. I'll take this man. Just give me one of these getting one of these was cool. Like we've had a lot of seasons. A section 10. I kind of like the fact that we just had a year. I can't compare to anything else. You could make a very easy argument that four and a half months of the six this year did not matter. Four and a half months didn't matter out of this season, which is insane and it's been weird. Anyone that feels weird at home. I'm right there with you. Is weird this last month has been like what am I looking at? Yeah, I feel like we've all been in relationships at some point in our life where it's like, are we good? Is everything all right? Where it's like, uh, yeah, I guess we're every day in my life. Every day in my life, I'm like, what are you mad about now? Every day with this socks team. Which is like I can podcast. Yeah. I kind of feel like that where I'm like, I think we're good. Like by the letter of the law, we're still dating here. So I think we're good. That's how I feel going into the playoffs. Yeah, you're still here.

16:25So I'm still watching the game. So I think I'm pulling for you. Yeah. So, Cole, you have the floor. I'm shaking my head because it's like every time they come in last place, we spend glitter boys, we spend the whole off season. Hearing from people just being like, fucking 2012, they finished in last place too. This could be 2013 all over again. Now every time they're fucking one in 74 to start the season, we're going to be the eight. Don't forget about that 2016. Don't forget. You're all you're going to go for the end. I know. I feel like we're forgetting about that part though when people are saying like, we'll take it. No, not even once. Like we're too late now. We can't put the toothpaste back in the tube. 550. I also find like holy and acceptable. I feel like that's more like 88 when ball. It's not that great. I think that's powerful. No, I know, but we should have higher hopes than that. The amount of days they've gone without just having first place in the ALE's for one

17:26day is embarrassing. It's very sad. Like, can they years without winning the ALE's? Like when you think about it like that, man, that shit hits. Like it should be something that hurts you if you're an owner or you're running that team. Obviously, we've been through multiple CBOs, but that's a great. That's a rough look. I guess, but like the playoff format has kind of just made it so that I don't really care that much. It's a dick measuring contest more than it is like favorable positioning in the playoff race. But it's also just like you're a better team when you win the division. Like that, I feel like it's way more important than. Give me a buy. Sure. Not even the buy just like that 18 team. I wasn't like going into that series against the Yankees. Like, well, we're still a wild card team if we were to get swept here. Like, no, I was like sweep them and let's win the division. But you think the wild card round this year, that's going to be one of the first thing that comes to mind. It's like, all right, we need to get the fuck out of this like wild card round. You need to find a way to get home field advantage and not live this same lifestyle over and over again. I think that if we have a quarter century worth of data, that it will show that the team that hosts the wild card series wins the world series most often.

18:32It's pretty split right in the new format. It's on the split map. Yes, Tyler. Brezlo fried himself on radio today. It was actually pretty funny where he was like, hey, winning game one is we know if you look at the history of the new wild card round, the three game series, that's what it takes. Yeah, he was like, well, if you don't include us from last year, I was like, yeah, yeah, yeah, scrap it. Scrap that tape. Move on, though. We're the only, but didn't it happen multiple times last year? Have I made that up? We did it so for sure. I don't know if someone else on the NL side also followed suit, but we were certainly first. I know. I know. Someone else forced a game three. Was that Yeah, they talked about what happened? To the next. Was it met's brews there before forced a game three? No, just something like that. No, every going into last year's postseason, every team swaps. Yeah, just shut the wrong. Fuck off. You can run. No, glitter boys. Can I can I propose? Can they can they do the 800 during the summer?

19:32And then on the the other sides play five 50 ball. Oh, yeah. Can we end up with 2018? We're yeah, we're I think we're at a hundred and twenty one pace if we had done that this year. Yeah, but you needed the 800 just to get the five 50, you know, that's what I'm saying. Like if it could have been five 50, what was it like three 90 before that? If they had just played five 50 at that point, that's a good deal. That's probably what like a 98 win season. It's probably higher like that was a historic winning streak that they went on and then they just kept winning outside of that too during that stretch. So yeah, it's probably at least a hundo. Yeah, there's been 16 of these wild card series and the Red Sox are the only team that's one game one and lost the series. There were two teams that forced the game three that lost game one last year, but they both of those that forced the game three lost the series. So they would have bare minimum right now if we were doing that math 12 to 13 more wins,

20:37like on their current record with still games left to play. So yeah, that's around a hundred games, our hundred wins. Yeah, which is probably what's going to win the A at least this year. Raise will end up around there. The All East. The All East. Yeah, there'll be all champions that keep this going. Yeah. But they won't be good at our boys. No, they were last for the A L East. No, I don't believe in that one Iota. Whoosh. Fall has a very specific taste to me. A hot dog at Fenway, maybe a bag of salty nuts and an ice cold blue moon. Preferably while the Red Sox are winning. But you look behind you and there's just not a lot of competition like the guardians 78 and 75 there five games behind them. The Rangers now are seven games behind the socks. So there were some people and shout it to the discord. I know you never fully know what you're going to get in there. It's been a fun season in there. But there were still some folks in there saying like they might not make the playoffs. I'm like, guys, we got to wake up like that. The socks and obviously you don't want this to happen, but they could lose the rest of their games and make the playoffs. Like that's that's where we're at at this point. We got nine games left. They could lose out and make the playoffs. Yes, there would be 83 and 79 that would get in the playoffs. I don't know what it is. I don't know if it's some people who want to go back to like takes because like I was getting that on Red Sox. Totally like this is the team we watched the first three months. Y'all all fell for that 32 and five stretch that little stretch. I'm like, all right, guys, it's much more than a little stretch. Like we're talking 42 baseball games here. I don't know if it's that or strictly boredom or people now just getting to the point where they forget what it's like leading up to playoff baseball when you are for the most part in. It's been a long time since the Red Sox were

26:51comfortably going to the playoffs 10, 15 days out. 21. We were counting down to the last day. Even last year we didn't know if it was going to be the Yankees or Guardians. Are you just not used to this middle ground of just, hey, we got to wait it out and get there and we're going to get there. Just be at peace. It's very rare. I don't think we've ever experienced it. Like the the 18 Red Sox were probably the only team where it's like, yeah, they're obviously going and still though at that point, they were still playing charge record for what? Yeah. Like I still cared about the record. Yeah, that mattered. About the record. They cared about, you know, best record in baseball. Like they didn't they have the best record in the grapefruit league that year too. Yep, they did. Or that bitch off. Yeah, they won everything that year. Any title, they won them all. Yeah, they had the best record in the grapefruit league, the best record in baseball. They won the division. They won the American League and they won the World Series. They had the AL MVP. They had the batting champ. They won every trophy. There was that. Yeah. Yeah. I think JD Martinez won two

30:04Yeah. Kliniboy. I think, I think that that dude is doing just fine. But either way, I don't know. Main point, I had a fun time this summer. I had a good time. It was fun. It was fun to eat shit because yeah, I was like this team sucks. They're the worst, the worst team I've ever seen. And the players saw that, you know, like if that motivated them in any way, great. I'm happy to help brother, but I had a fun summer. And I'm looking forward to having a fun October. I just want to get past. I just want to get past the Yankees. It's not even like, it's not even like a Red Sox Yankees thing to me. I just want to get past the wild card ground. I just want a home playoff game because I don't know that there's a fan listening right now that would say it still feels like making the playoffs if you don't play a home playoff game. So, I mean, they haven't played a home fucking playoff game since 2021. Yeah, you went there last year and you didn't get a home playoff game. So yes, it would be nice to beat the Yankees. 31:08rivalry is still a thing. And I do care about ending their season. That means something to me. But more than anything, I just a want to get past where you were eliminated last year because at least it shows some sort of forward progress and be perhaps most importantly, I would like a home playoff game. So all those things matter to me. If matters like the Yankees bar managed to me because from oh, four until last year, like they were drowning. Totally dominance. Yeah, they were absolutely drowning. Their entire identity was was taken from them and last year. It should have been. They got it. Yeah, they got it back like it. But then they promptly got dusted by the J. So it's like, did they get kind of? I mean, they'd been in the World Series the year prior and it's the easiest path of the world. No doubt. The camp slitler thing though, like his role of L for this franchise in our fan base since that moment, like clearly. It impact me.
