The audio shop does not stop. We'll have fresh audio from the audio battlefield. All weekend, fifth hour podcast as we hog the limelight even on the weekends here and hour number one. Big Thursday night game. They opened a new stadium in Orchard Park, New York and the game was a route or route. Buffalo jumped out to a 21 point lead. Never look back. Explain the better story in the losing locker room. Explain what coach Dan Campbell accomplished. My calling out the lion's lack of discipline post game. Lions had double digits and penalties. Also, is it too soon? Too soon to eliminate the lions from contender status based on their terrible defense in the NFC. These are not the lions that used to steamroll everybody. No, no, no, no, no. Also the NFL media has dubbed Buffalo's new stadium as the house that Josh Allen built.
Does that work for you? Do a nose dive into all of this and more right now. Here it is our number one. Well, they say we're the Buffalo Rome. This was more like a stampede, a Buffalo boat race. Welcome in the beginning of another night of the bandmaller show. We are in the air everywhere. As we rub elbows and try to discover the magic and unlike, unlike the NFL, we're actually going to tackle going to wrap up and tackle. We have good football fundamentals, coast to coast, border to border and beyond on the vast and robustly powerful microphones of FSR emanating live from the waters as we do the deep dive in the dirty waters. Gain wrong, teed human.
Who's hair brand idea was that from the world famous box sports radio studios where the Bill's monster is in a celebratory mood, marked the walker and Rochester, Alexis and Buffalo very happy. Not so much Reggie and Detroit, but I know Ferg dog, Alfie, alien, alpiner and malle prop guy. They don't care because this is an express ride in the overnight. If you work in logistics, you know nothing moves without you. Companies need skilled people now and express employment professionals can help you find contract or full time work that fits at no cost to you. Visit expressprose.com, get support, get options and get to work. A programming note, we're off to the 1&0 start on Benny versus the penny. If you took our advice, you're welcome. Buffalo easy. One of the gates there will have more of Benny versus the penny for week two coming up in hour number two. So get on the bandwagon. It's back where it all started. Benny versus the penny right here on the radio.
That'll be coming up in hour number two. But don't bury the lead, my man. Or lead this hour from orchard park, New York, the opening night. They those little soft launch games, those little exhibition matchups and whatnot, but now it's the real deal. And with their calling in Buffalo, their pig skin palace, I don't know about that. 2.1 billion spent on the new high mark stadium with the fun size jumbo tron, the obstructed view seats, the upper deck, where it was designed for mountain goats and the matchup made for the Amazon. You had Al Michaels and Herbie right there. Josh Allen's bills hosting Jared golf's Lions. Did you watch? Were you engaged in this? Perhaps not. I don't know what else you were doing. Josh Allen threw for three touchdowns. He ran for two scores. I'm told that's good. I'm told that's good.
And Buffalo beat the snot out of a Lions 41 to 31. The final in a game that was never in doubt for the Buffalo business. No matter how much Al Michaels tried to convince you the consumer, his old school brought the podcasting pedigree the first day of broadcasting clown college. They teach you to try to sell whoever's losing because they're so paranoid about losing the audience rather than just be honest, say, boy, the Lions really blow. No, no. The Lions can get right back in the game. No, they didn't. They didn't get back in the game. The bills kept them at arm's length. So Buffalo gets a 10 point victory on Thursday night in the first regular season game at the aforementioned new stadium. They're high marks stadium, which had the same name as the old stadium, but you'd get to deal. Anyway, it was Josh Allen's fourth career, five touchdown outing. He's got nine touchdowns now after a couple of weeks of football. And that's all good. And that's all great.
You know how we roll in these parts. The better story is in the losing locker room. Where have you gone? The bravado, the swag of Dan Campbell's Lions. Dan Campbell, his post game gripe, he had to hit many gripes in the post game. Dan Campbell complaining about a number of things. The big gripe seems to be the lack of discipline for the Lions. Campbell complaining about that as the penalties were piling up throughout the night. Backbreaking penalties. The Lions were penalized 10 times. People penalties wiping out opportunities to change the game in favor of the Lions in terms of field position and whatnot. So that is a good jumping off point. Let us discuss the question. Can you explain what coach Dan Campbell accomplished in his post game, Dietribe, calling out the Lions discipline on this night?
So my thoughts on this, I've got Orville Reddenbacher, vegan cookbook and booster shot. And we'll combine all of these things together. And we will answer the $64 question. Not the $64,000 question. Not the $64 million question. The $64 question is what we're going to answer. So a Dan Campbell is up there at the day. And he's, I know what he's trying to do. He's trying to be like, hey, you know, as long as we just clean up the day, we're going to be fine. I'll be the human sponge. I'll soak up all the rage, all the outrage. And I'm dig a little deeper and it's going to be okay. And as long as we clean this up, we'll be fine. Yeah. So I give the guy a hint. He claims like he's identified that the Lions have a discipline problem. Nobody could have guessed that after the penalties. It was a yellow flag party there. You've solved the mystery. Now spoiler alert, spoiler alert, Dan, as we like to say in these parts, you're either
coaching it or you're allowing it to happen. And if I'm not mistaken, every single player, every single player on the Lions roster was hand picked, hand picked, all the, all the players. And these are the guys they want it. And right now, Detroit is at the casino and they're playing problem roulette. That is where you spin the wheel and that roulette wheel goes round and round. And then you just kind of wait and see what breaks next. Will it be another penalty? Is it going to be eternal? Is it busted assignment, sloppy tackling, hitting the wrong sound effect or just pure dumb decisions? There you go. You were close. Calling it out at the podium, calling it out at the podium does not work like Clorox. And you know, all those disinfectants, they say, well, it kills 99.9% of bacteria. By the way, the reason they say that, legally, they can't say 100%. Legally, they've been sued and they can't say 100% because if something happens, they'd
be liable. So 99.9% is plausible deniability. So just a fun fact on that. But yeah, so Dan came, was like, listen, it's not Clorox. It didn't kill 99% of the problems and all that because you get up to the podium. But Campbell, he's not some kind of outside consultant. We liked Dan Campbell. He's generally been good for our purposes here as a talk show host doing the show overnight. And he's not brought in as a consultant here outside to audit the circus. He is literally the ringmaster of whatever's going on under the big top there in the motor city. So if you want to give out these press conferences and say this, that and the other things wrong, that's fine. You know, give these press conferences about the grease fire. You might want to turn off the stove. You might want to turn off the stove. And so Dan Campbell should be a brand ambassador. Be a pitch man for Orville Reddenbacher. And the reason why is because the lions right now have popcorn problems every few seconds
and other kernel explodes. Now they're one in one. Thanks to the saints being unable to get it done in overtime last week. So they are one and one. It was not the worst of the worst here. But you just allowed Buffalo to have 34 first downs, 446 yards of offense and convert on 75% of their third down tries there. So good luck. You might want to fix the popcorn thing and the roulette wheel and the whole deal. Now page two as the lions are out there lost in space. Your choice is played just two games. That is about 12% of the regular season. That's it. 12% two of 17 is about 12%. I think it's 11.7%. So it's early in all those good things. You can say all there's nothing to worry about here. Blah blah blah blah blah. But we have a show today. We have to worry about today's talk show. So the question is it too soon to eliminate the lions from contender status in the national
football conference after two games. So as of this moment, it is absolutely not too soon. They're parked. I don't care if they're one or one. The eyeball test, the hearing test is ugly with the capital. You cannot take this team seriously. You can't two games in and the motor city assembly line has produced a lemon. You won't get a lemon. They got a lemon. And unfortunately, I don't believe there's a recall available. What are you going to do? You say the offensive line had guys out. We took the bills and the main reason we took the bills because the offensive line was a problem and it took the lions about half the game to figure things out. And by then they were playing catch up and they never did catch up. They had some some mustard and whatnot. The defense though, it's not too many major injuries where you say that they can just get some guys back and they'll be fine. Some missing something they got big time issues here with who's out there.
And it sucks because Dan Campbell's motivational speeches are freaking great. Eventually though, you actually have to tackle someone. That's always the problem. You have to evolve into tackling which sucks. The thing about the lions, the evolution of the Detroit Lions under Dan Campbell, this team went from biting kneecaps to currently on defense reading a vegan cookbook. That's what they're reading. Well, why don't you tackle someone? Well, that's violent. We don't want to do that. Let's just make some vegetables taste like meat. That's what we're going to do. So they've traded that grit that Dan Campbell installed to whatever that was, what passive surrender by the lion's defense. You look at the injuries, penalties and just overall defensive incompetence. That is the holy trinity, the holy trinity of suck that has arrived in Detroit. And normally there's a couple people that go into the cockpit.
The entire lion's defense is riding the vomit comet right now. That is unreal. They're not contenders. They're pretender. You're not a contender if you're giving up 36 points of game and 457 yards per game, which is what the lions are doing right now through two weeks. That is pinata status, pinata status for the lion. Now Dan Campbell, he needs an intervention. His team does because I'm starting to see some of those same old lions who are staging a hostile takeover here. The Detroit spent decades, decades in football in car incarceration. Like they were in football jail. They were only furloughed on Thanksgiving on that Thursday Thanksgiving. And in recent years, they finally tasted freedom. That free at last, free at last. And now the ankle minor is starting to beep again. Just like you can hear it almost.
You can almost hear the beep. All right, last word to the winning side, winning to the winning side. And the question here, the NFL media, the NFL media elites have dubbed Buffalo's new stadium as quote, the house that Josh Allen built. Close quote. Does that work for you after a five touchdown debut? All right, so it's cute. You got to be joking though. Calling that the house that Josh Allen built, kind of like saying that Mickey Mouse personally poured the concrete at Disney World. It's poppycock is what it is. Josh Allen didn't build the house. He's a very expensive Airbnb attraction living inside the house. You know who built the house? The taxpayers. They brought the lumber. They poured the concrete. They picked up the tab, even those that don't like football couldn't tell you the difference from any racket ball and a football.
They still had their tax dollars go to pay for this monstrosity. That's New York State and Eerie County taxpayers. They're the sugar daddies. They're the ones that built the stadium, $850 million of public taxpayer money. Your tax dollars at work building a football stadium for the Buffalo team. Now regardless, the bills right now are feeling pretty good. You got a little swagger. We're doing all right. That win over the Lions was a confidence booster shot. And you look at it two weeks in. Now you got wins over the Lions and the Texans, which is really great for self esteem, really, really great for self esteem. Everything is wonderful in Western New York provided. You don't look at the fine print. You don't look at the defensive stat sheet. If you look at that, suddenly things aren't looking so great because you weave a web of lies when you look at that. And while the Lions are rightfully being crucified for their defensive blunders, since Buffalo
is 2 and 0, everyone's thrown confetti in the air everywhere. And while the bill's offense is fine and certainly the Lions offense, you say is good enough to win. The defense also for Buffalo is screaming. Back engine pulling teeth over there. The Lions defense like our friend Anthony in Louisiana had some teeth pulled. Thanks to the Cologne victory, the body spray of victory, the bills had been given a pardon. And we talked about how bad the Lions are. And the Lions giving up an average of 36 points and 457 yards a game. Only Buffalo bills are not that bad. However, they're not great. The bill's defense through two games allowing 368 yards of offense per game and 31 points per game. So I've gone into the lab and I've looked at all the beakers and I've done some weird science and all that and I've crunched the numbers on this and I've determined this
is going to blow you away here. Nobody else has this take. That is not a sustainable formula. It is not. Certainly that is not a sustainable formula. I don't care how much you dance around and it's similar to the Lions. Like what are the bills going to do? The guys that are out there on defense, these are the guys and there'll be some easier games up ahead. Sure, there'll be some games against tomato cans. You get to play two games against the jets and they suck. Well, they beat the Titans with a Titan's Suck more. The Titan's Suck more. See, they're getting you like, okay. Buffalo, you know, you say the war of attrition and all that. They're off to the tomato start. Up ahead, they've got the chargers and the Patriots and the Rams. Those are the next three games and those teams all have pretty good offense. So you figure you have to score a bunch of points and outscore everybody. At some point, you're going to run into a good defense and it's going to be a problem. So we'll see how this goes. It is the Ben Mallor Show. If you would like to be part, you can join us right now.
877-99 on Fox. And remember, because it's a Benny versus the Penny kind of night. We'll take calls this hour. An hour two, X-Nay on the calls, it'll be just picks. We'll take the top eight games of the NFL card and break them down and give you some information on why we like certain teams in some of the high-profile games that'll be coming up in hour two. And then we'll get back to the calls in hour three and four. So that's what we have to look forward to. And if you'd like to walk through this 877-9966369, or you can spin your wheels on X at Ben Mallor. That's at Ben Mallor. If you'd like to be part of the live radio program and straight ahead, it is one of the great marketing moves that we've seen in some time. But what was it? It happened. It happened in Buffalo. What kind of crazy, wacky marketing move happened to the bills, fans prior to the game?
We'll get to that. We'll take your calls the whole thing and we will do it. Next. Be sure to catch live editions of the Ben Mallor show weekdays at 2 a.m. Eastern 11 p.m. Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the I Hard Radio app. Hey, it's Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington from the I Hard Couple on Fox Sports Radio. Just like when you launch a giant boat, big cruise ship, the bills get a win. As they came out, this is what's called a boat race situation. Not a Harvard boat race, but a boat race situation. We're talking about that. A reminder, the fifth hour podcast returns later on on Friday. And we'd like to alert all the affiliates down the line hanging out on the fifth hour podcast, the return of my old homey. The one and only Eddie Garcia will make a rare and appropriate appearance on the fifth hour podcast. So if you want to hear the shuttlecock of sports talk, steamboat Willie, what else do we call him? Not your daddy, the, the, the Mermaid bad news bears Garcia, all that stuff. Nine to five jar jar, the mad F bomber of sports fodder. I feel like smoking some Mary Jane right now. The puck ducker steamboat Willie gated Garcia games.
You know, your boobies. Gaslight Garcia cookie crook Eddie will. Hot nuts. Eddie said he would do it, but we had to talk some hockey. So against my better judgment, there might be some hockey talk on the fifth hour podcast. Now put the check dick right in your mouth. Check that out. He threatened me. So I had no choice. So check that out a little later today. If you want to part of the show, 877 99 on Fox. 877 9966369 also on X at Ben Mallor. That's at Ben Mallor. He blew me off. Yeah, you can also say hello to Lorraine. She's known as the FSR tech queen. Yes, I'm here again. Shocking and the Cooble loop at a Bronco fan. That's a Bronco fan. Hey, young. Very excited. Born in East LA. Yes, when you think East LA, you think cool, definitely a JJ from Renton writes in.
And he says Dan Campbell isn't biting kneecaps off. He's biting ankles like a Chihuahua at this point. Oh boy, it's a mess. Michael and Tulsa writes in says Ben, not sure which is bigger. The number of dumb Detroit defensive penalties or the obstructed views of bills fans in their new stadium. My odds are about even, but of course, TV gave us the Chamber of Commerce view of the bills. New digs. Yes, you definitely get a filtered view, a filtered view on what's going on when you watch an NFL production. That put a little extra sugar on top. And that's just how they roll spoon full of sugar. It helps the medicine go down. And it's always been that movie. Yes, the NFL for so many years has produced a product where I'm pretty sure the director is Mary Poppins because you watch an NFL broadcast and everything is supercalifragilistic
expi allidocious. Everything. It is its first class. It's marvelous. The stadiums, the good. Let's just overlook all the bad stuff. We'll just talk about the good stuff. So there is that inca terror part of bills mafia, right? Since it says no matter what you say, Benny, you will not dampen my spirits. My Yankees are in the playoffs. My neighboring waterway has been upgraded to Lake America and my bills are 2 and 0. It's a great week to be alive. It's the great inca terror legend. Classically trained musician has performed that hauls all over the world from Russia to Europe to Australia. He's been everywhere. And he's a friend of our show, very talented man in the inca terror. It does not always make the proper decisions when it comes to sports. You cannot celebrate the Yankees making the playoffs. Just like I'm a I like the Dodger. I can't celebrate the Dodgers. The champagne celebration was like the dumbest thing in the world. I don't want to get off on a tangent. But I'm about to get off on a tangent. Like dude, the Dodgers and Yankees, you don't celebrate making the playoffs.
You don't. What do you do? I don't. The baseball, they have more champagne celebrations than baseball. It's crazy. You know who should celebrate like Tampa Bay gets to sell it. It's just the whole thing stupid. Anthony and Anna Heim retired caller. He sold out for family life. Anthony writes and says, are the dolphins going to suck forever? No, they will not suck. They will only suck as long as you're alive, Anthony. So while you're alive, they will suck. The rest of your life, they will be terrible. But at some point, maybe your kids, when they're old, they'll see the dolphins have a good team. Late night drug tester writes in says, sure, Buffalo, look great today. But title runs are in January. Not sure what the farmers, Almanac predicts, but pretty sure the weather will slow down that offense yet again. It's a similar problem to what's going to happen in the sweet home Chicago with the bears. There's playing outdoors in the cold weather. It's hard. Even your indoors, generally the offense slows down. The later you get in the season for a number of reasons.
Shane Indemoyne, Iow writes in. He says a plus for the previous edition of Noobie night. He said Keith and Connecticut has a fan in me. Solid collared me. For what? Worth. Yeah, we enjoyed Keith. And guys had a tough deck of hearts handed to him in life. And he's trying to get it back on his feet there. And he listens to us late at night. And while he's hanging out at a secret location, he cannot say he cannot say because he's not technically supposed to be there. But somebody is allowing him to stay there, which is very cool. Helping him try to get back on his feet. Yafimi in Chicago writes in says, hey, Mallor, A plus. Detroit style pizza on the Mallor model log. That's the only good thing coming out of the motor city these days. Dan Campbell has been exposed. And it was Ben Johnson's offense the whole time behind the curtain that made the kitty cats relevant. Knee cap, bite her says Yafimi.
Calm down Yafimi. Put your pants back on. I know you're excited about the bears, but calm down a little bit. The issue for the lions is not about the offense has been good enough. They won the game against the Saints because they're offense. They certainly scored enough, although they did score kind of a late garbage time touchdown to make the score appear closer against Buffalo. They being the lions. That said, I mean, it's the defense defense defense. Analog analysis. What about deadbolt, daddy, deadbolt Eddie? That was not one of his nicknames. I do not recall that being one of his official nicknames. I don't think you're making that up bad job by you. Are you a gatekeeper of the nicknames? As you know, Lorraine, I have more nicknames than anyone in talk radio. I don't have the biggest contract. I don't make the big impact on the business. Certainly, nobody really knows who I am, although there are few. When it comes to nicknames, though, I kick cowards ass, Dan Patrick, all these other
guys. They can't compete with me. As you know, I am known as, among other things, the spin master of misinformation, the bannering broadcaster, the Beethoven of VS. I've been called Benny Bingo, curmudgeon of commentary, chasm of sarcasm, Zara of Zaney, Dark Knight of weeknight sports radio, the mogul of mischief, Benny the brazen, the king of zing, money ball, mallard, Benny the bopper for my baseball prowess, Fesisa's fox, Sultan of the Insultin, the shaman of Shodden, Freuda, the sensitive sniffing of the sniffer, jumping jack of wisecrack inside of overnight medicine man, mallard, the nae bob of negativity, the sage of outrage, the pinnacle of cynical, the prince of preposterous professor of propaganda, the hisar of hyperbole, the floating turd of the spoken word and the mad hatter of sports chatter. That's only half my nickname. That's it. That is a lot. Yeah.
Well, that's what you would you like there. I can give you the rest if you want. I don't accept up to you. Do you actually have a list of these? That's cool. I have these are documented. Many of them came from Richard the race horse who used to call up from Detroit. He gave me a lot of them, but the number of people have handed these out like candy on Halloween over the years. It does happen. Anyway, let's take a call. It is a call and show. And who do we have here? Many, many, many mo. Let's say hello to Andrew who's in Bakersfield, California. Hello, Andrew. Hey, Ben. You know, I think the US should keep the penny. One reason Abraham Lincoln is on there. And, you know, okay, so we keep the penny. That's a random take. Yeah. But whether they, it doesn't, they're obviously they're getting rid of the penny. The penny is not going to be made anymore. So that's fine. But the penny is forever. The term the penny will forever be in the lexicon.
It's not going to go away. So you can get rid of the penny. Can't kill the penny. The penny will live on whether you actually make pennies or not. It is part of the fabric of America. I stand with the penny. And I'd like to mention an L West champions Dodgers and Kyle Tucker almost hit for the cycle and had a double and was almost going to go to third there. Benny, what do you think? Do you know what the term almost means? Do you know what that means? I think so. That means you didn't do it. That means you failed. Like, hey, I almost won the lottery. I was only one number off. Okay, good. Congratulations, dummy. You didn't win the lot. But you got a single two doubles and a home run. I don't know if he got another hit along with that. You would be like the greatest parent. You imagine? Hey, you're in school here.
What was your report? Well, I got D and F, D, and then there was like one C. All right, well, you got to see that's great. But yeah, I failed every other class. But you got to see that's good. That's Andrew and Baker's for a parent of the year right there. Kyle Tucker's making $70 million a year. And the guy blows the guy. That's Dodgers blows. Good job Dodgers. All right, thanks, Ben. Let's say hello to who do we have? Swamp Billy is up next. Swamp Billy. Hey, Swamp Billy, did you hear about the fact that the Buffalo Bill's pride of the game, one of the, I'm not going to give the name here because they're not an advertiser, but one of the people from the prediction market, not our friends at DraftKings, handed out free tables to people tailgating before the first game. You know, the bills fans are known to jump and break tables. So they handed out those, those outdoor tables so people could break them. That's not a bad marketing gimmick.
That's a pretty solid marketing gimmick. I do wonder about the liability. If somebody got hurt jumping on the table, wouldn't they be able to sue the company that gave them out saying that, hey, we wouldn't have done this if you hadn't given these out. And I don't know about that part of it. But it's kind of funny. It's cool. Yeah. Nice. Swamp Billy, are you alive? Swamp Billy. I am alive. I refer to that as an attractive nuisance. Having been a former member of the Alabama Mar Association. And I want to thank the bills for reinstituting Kamiski Park with the subtractive views and other bullshit. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I apologize. OK. Hello. I'm going to have to put you in jail, Swamp Billy. I do appreciate your apology. Yeah. You're in the Bible, though. What's wrong with you? Can't do that. You're in the Bible, though. What's wrong with you? How dare you? I haven't been to church in several years, anyway. But I want to talk about Kamiski Park. I was there with Andy Hawkins through his eight-anying no-hitter
back in July 1 of 1990, not 1890. And they took it away from him. I remember that. Yeah, they said, it's an thing. Well, you're an old guy like me. And I want to talk about the bills are awesome. And they get to play like the Titans and the, you know, their schedule. They're great. And I know you got a lot of listeners up there like you do in Boston. But I just want to invite you to Nashville to go to the chip and the bill, which reminds me of a blind swamp. No, what was the name? Von whatever. See, see, bass. You're rival. I'll see bass, yeah. You were, you were, you were, you were, you were, you were supposed to fight him and you didn't show up. Remember? Sleep, OK? You know, you, you, you forgive, Holler and James. I miss Ramirez, but you don't forgive Tom Tano Guillermo. Not do not. Anyway, not forgive you when you're set off for a fight. Can you imagine you're fighting for the heavyweight championship of the world and you don't show up?
You can't not do, you, you train for that. You prepare for that. How dare you? Versus win it, Lewis. I had, I had money on Linux Lewis. I'm happy about that. Yeah. Hello, all right? Oh, yeah, yeah, I went away. I win four games this year. Who's going to win four games? The Titans? Yeah. Well, the way they play against the Jesse, you can't beat the Jets and you're, you're in garbage time in the fourth quarter. That general means you're in trouble. I got one last thing to say to you. Ask Eddie if the predators can beat the rays in the exhibition game Sunday. I love all you and I know you hate me, but that's OK. You got to have a villain. God bless you, Ben Mallor. Thank you, sir. Swamp Billy, the rare and appropriate appearance by Swamp Billy. Thank him for that. Very nice. It is the Ben Mallor Show. And time now for the Who Am I Game?
This is where we pretend to be somebody else. You can answer the Who Am I Game on X at Ben Mallor, at Ben Mallor, with 31 receiving yards against Chicago on Sunday. Vikings, why receiver Justin Jefferson, Kenzo, pass me for the second most, for the second most, receiving yards by a player under the age of 28 in NFL history, chilling only pro football Hall of Famer, Randy Moss, who am I? That is the question and the answer. We'll get to it and we will do it. So we'll see what happens. So we'll see if we can get to the first one. So we'll see if we can get to the second one. So we'll see if we can get to the second one. So we'll see if we can get to the second one. And we will do it next. Be sure to catch live additions of the Ben Mallor Show weekdays
at 2 a.m. Eastern 11 p.m. Pacific. The Ben Mallor Show on Fox Sports Radio. Don't forget 5th hour podcast, new episode, drop all weekend long. Beginning today we'll have the new fresh pods today. And then on Saturday, mailbag on Sunday. And we are efforting a big name in the Mallor militia who has never been on the mailbag before, who has agreed to be part of the mailbag. That's I don't want to give it away, but you'll find out. And will it be good or will it be bad? Inquiry minds would like to know, but that'll be coming up at the end of the weekend on Sunday. So check out the 5th hour podcast. We thank you in advance for that. And we've got plenty of time left here together on the overnight as we work our way through. And thank you, thank you, thank you. All right, back to it, we go. And here is the, well, actually, this is a call. And then I'll pay off the who in my game. I want to take a call before I pay off the who in my game.
At 87799 on Fox, the call in number. Let's say hello to Sam, who's in Canada. And just a little bit up from Buffalo. And he was apparently at the Bill's game. He was in the new stadium. Hello, Sam. Welcome, Sam. You're on Fox Sports Radio. It's going on. Thank you so much. First time caller. Just wondering if you have some feedback on the game. We were at some great seats. 50 yard line, the second last row of the lower bowl. And I know one of the earlier callers were talking about a lot of obstructed seats. But to their credit, the Bill's organization had taken a lot of feedback and made a lot of changes from the preseason games, even with seating. So kudos to them. It was very classy for them to also include the Canadian National Anthem. I'm not sure if it's because the Buffalo Sabers have been doing it for years. Or if maybe they just want to rise above the politics right now
and just sort of focus on our friendship between the US and Canada. And very classy on them to have the Canadian Anthem, which was cheered. Had a chance to sit behind of all people. Jim Kelly, who was sitting in the row right in front of me. And that was great to see him at the game. A lot of great thousand whistles. It was so great to see the Bill's also sort of play at ease. You think maybe with a home opener or season opener or stadium opener that there's a lot of pressure. But there's a certain looseness to the team. And maybe that's Brady. I'm not sure. But it's nice to see John Schallon throw for the middle of the field. Not always on the sidelines. It's great to see the mix hit up. I did have one weird anomaly that I wanted to ask you. But it may be if you're familiar with it. But I noticed that whenever either kicker would try a field goal or a point after the stadium screen
or the scoreboard I should say went dim. And I'm not sure if that's happened in other stadiums. I don't know. Again, if it's a courtesy to the kickers, it's certainly quite the opposite of what the Patriots have been accused of doing with flipping the image. But just wanted to get your feet back if you don't. I did. No, I mean, I would assume if they did it every time somebody kicked a field goal, it wasn't intentional. But it's also good to be at ease. It's easy to be at ease, Sam, when you're up 21 points in the second quarter. You know what I mean? It's not you're in control of the game. But I'm glad you had a good time. The stadium was nice. And it'll never be that nice again. Because over time, people mess it up. But I'm glad you had a good time there, Sam, driving back from the Bills game. Time now for the Who Am I Game? Who? And here we go, the Who Am I Game. This is where we pretend to be somebody else, thus we call it the Who Am I Game. With 31 receiving yards, again, Chicago on Sunday.
Vikings, why receiver Justin Jefferson can surpass me? For the second most receiving yards, by a player under the age of 28, an NFL history, trailing only pro football hall of favor, Randy Moss. Who am I? That is the question. What is the answer? And let's see, does anyone know the answer? We go to the Great Unwashed Year. Dejane Love, my favorite 49er, better than Jerry Rice. That's from Mr. Irrigation. Who else? Anthony, and Anaheim says, Sam can really kill a segment. That's not nice. Alexa Bliss from Just Josh, Paige Dan, former another Viking White receiver, Matthew Hatchett, guest by Erick, very funny. Tony Soprano from Larry, who's reporting in Nashville. Hi, Larry. And Tony O'Brown from Andy in Lionel Lakes, Minnesota. The women Peppa Stepa from Rob in the 3-2-1 trick Williams. Who else do we have Paige down? The Matt Hatter of Sports Chatter,
Alf the Alien O'Piner. Lorraine, do you have an answer, Lorraine? Michael Myers. Michael Myers. You really killed it, but no, that is incorrect. The correct answer would be none other than Deandre Hopkins. Deandre Hopkins. This is an I Heart Podcast. Guaranteed Human.
