So man tell us what you got going on the exciting item you got for the Eagles Autos of foundation So I actually got two we got one with me and Nolan we going bowling and You know we want to say we're the best in the world But we could hold our own we've been playing since college so you know that's gonna be exciting And then we have an opportunity where we all go out to the flyers game as a delamin and We all get there and we have a sweet and we get the break bread and have a little fun watching hockey You know what I saw that I think I saw Nolan breaking bread and cracking a fruit bruski's at the flyers game

1:05Like last year Hey listen those fly games are high man. That's pretty cool You know I can imagine I can imagine you know So so is it safe to say you when it comes to bowling you guys are a little bit competitive Definitely, I think we competitive everything we do I think it's a race of the lug rolls you could put our socks on the facets But you know we just go out there And do our best to win and everything do you have your own bowling ball man because you know I know a couple my old teammates they used to have like they got so a death that bowling they had down on bowling balls Do you have your own bowling ball yet? Yeah, I got I got a few I got a few so see he Oh, he's a real baller talking to here you undersold it you you you you undersold it so you're you're a skilled bowler I would say I'm pretty decent you know I graduated past the houseball section and now I have my own bowling ball We say it whatever I have a houseball section. I feel attacked

2:06He was he was and he and I have not graduated past that Jordan Jordan What are we talking here we offer 100s for a score or are you and Nolan you know going into the 200s like what kind of ball are we talking about? I say about main one It feel like you undersell into the lot though dog. I'm just I'm just saying it feels like you trying to set people up when you when you have this bowling experience to be honest Well, you know we out there for fun and It's a great cause, but you know at the end of everybody's a winner. You know Doesn't matter just hang out. 3:11Camp is over how you feeling as we get set and we can look ahead to a season here It's good. It's good, you know just uh being One week away from the season starting up. You can feel it you can feel it in the air. It's a different type of blood going on Uh, practices start to become more mental than physical or anything and um, you know We just really excited to get started and pop it off with a division opponent Yeah, it's a big one to start against the commanders and i'm sure because you guys don't open this week And i'm sure you're gonna have your eyes on your Georgia bulldogs number three to start the season Are we back in title contention? It feels like the last couple years Jordan. I mean the big 10 is kind of taking over I don't know what happened to your SEC you guys left to this sound like i'm just telling just saying that's what happened I'm just i'm just asking for things to ready to go when a championship again Well, you know the game is starting to become a little play to play but i think the SEC can hold it down And especially my bulldogs, you know, i'm always right with them uh right or wrong So, you know, we see uh that number three turns into a number one or you know, we'll see how it goes We will Jordan we appreciate giving us a few minutes the Eagles Radio thon.com to go bid on two items

5:19It's serious about you know when you go bowling. I think it's here if a person is serious got two things one if they have their own ball They're pretty serious, but two if they do like the whole spin you know like that and spin is impressive This starts like at the end and somehow covers back to the middle. Yeah, and it's not like an accidental spin like there They have like a wind up in emotion meanwhile the rest of us city edge of just rolling it down You know what you know it the ones that really can bowl are the ones that don't put a whole lot of they just kind of drop it And like put the spin on it. 6:21Here we are three games behind when like three weeks ago. It is true what Joe says you do need it like like she was like your emotional balance The fillies well, but here's the thing you just but here's the thing. I've never been wrong on one of these So like I never said it won't get close Well, and I still believe it Jake. I hope I'm wrong on this one obviously If I pick our team to lose the division. I hope I'm wrong But I've never been wrong on one of these everyone always brings up. I shouldn't do this every time I've said it to the vision You wrote them off like three weeks ago. There's no way they're gonna win the division Jake There's still three games behind like the only way I'm wrong is if the fillies have the division title Like when I say a division is over it doesn't mean it won't get close It just means by the end of the season they're not gonna be they're not gonna win the division and if I mean do you think they're gonna win the division? Uh, I mean right now I'd have to say it's a coin flip. Okay, and I tend to agree It's got it's gotten to that point and they might and I hope I'm dead raw I hope this is the first time I'm wrong, but like two years ago

7:22When I said the fillies have won the division they won the division Last year when I said last year, I think you did you curse them or jinx something last year Oh, sure, they they yeah right they were up like four or six or whatever And I said it and then they got swept by the mats, but they still won the division It was your fault right but we're missing the point. I didn't say they're not gonna lose again the rest of the season I said the division is over last year during a November what it was I said the Eagles have won the NFC East and then it got a little tight for a month But they still won the division to me. It's like it's like when if you're watching like election night coverage and they they call the race It doesn't matter if five states come in the other way if if the person they said is gonna win the election wins they were right That's all Yes, aside from all the technical breakdown. Mm-hmm I like that one because you think Yeah, like like the word orthodox just means like conforming to the norms the way things are done you do things You know, and there's another word that it's a word for like the spirit of the age. I believe it's zeitgeist zeitgeist and jayland does not Participate in the zeitgeist at all like he doesn't do the social media thing like he doesn't He doesn't act away people want him to like he is very unorthodox in in the in the zoomed-in view of him as a person and even if you zoom out in the way the filly Sorry the Eagles won that title that was an unorthodox super role championship Because they went against the grain of what the trends in the lead were and the way they won was with defense and running Which was on or the right? I think they had the lowest passing year's per game ever for a super role champion jay It's a good phone call unorthodox and doesn't participate in the zeitgeist. That's a good one

10:28How you doing man? I'm doing good. How are you guys pretty good? Pretty good. Massive how's your body feeling? Right now, yes, we get a week out from the football season start Man, it's crazy that it's already here, but the body's feeling great You know, we had a great work practice yesterday You know getting seeing everybody that's on the team and really starting to hone in on you know starting the regular season So it's always exciting Dallas we're a week away now from opening game. This will be your ninth year with Eagles in the NFL Do you start you still get butterflies? What's that opening week the opening game? You know seeing the other games kick off because they will on Wednesday Thursday you guys on Sunday Do you still get those feelings about butterflies before a first week and first game of the season? Oh, yeah absolutely. It's like a kid in the candy store You know looking forward to Wednesday just to watch the starting games You know, it's been fun all preseason. Yeah, I haven't got I haven't got to play But I just watch in seeing the pads pop seeing people make plays You know, we play a special sport and there's really nothing like the NFL season. So

11:33It seems like it came quick, but I think we're all excited for it So you know what Dallas you brought up something that's probably a source bot for a whole lot of people playing in the preseason How do you feel about it man? I know you know, I play in the air or we actually had to play in the preseason Are you are you for playing in the preseason or you like the way it's going right now Man, I think about it every year, you know, I wouldn't be opposed to playing But I don't mind not taking unnecessary hits You know, we do so much at practice join practices and We do so many things to try to get ourselves ready with different situations that coach Sierra and puts us in um That you know I get the preseason I get being warmed up. I know we'll be ready to go week one But you would hate to lose a guy in a meaningless game talk to him. So I don't know Tell him tell him you know, I enjoy watching the young guys go out there and try to earn a spot on the team I enjoy hyping them up and we can learn from them too

12:34You know they they put a lot of things on tape that we can Good things that we can learn from bad things that we can learn from so whether we're out there or not It's definitely able to get good things out of it And you guys are undefeated hopefully continues next week and with Dixie Rianne's your head coach this first game So something you guys are doing these summers continue to work and we hope they do next week Dallas will talk about your item in the Eagles radio thought here really cool one a unique one So create a popcorn flavor for the people popcorn with Dallas got a Dallas tell us about this It obviously all goes to Eagles Autism Foundation. Man my idea would be like some fun fatty, you know, I like I like you to take the photo and so yeah Uh, like a you know the fun fatty cake something like that Well the sweet and salty always goes good and you're right about the company There's a stand Dallas right outside. We do the pre-game show for your home games run the concourse there outside the stadium And there's a stand they have and I've gotten this popcorn for you. I don't know if you ever tasted it. It's good I mean, it's like that thing I've had it. There wasn't even like peers or Judges before the Olympus no dog a coach somewhere along the way like he that's not gonna work lady her No, and then you you have to hear I'm not gonna tell if anybody But when she said like she's in the limps right she was getting beat And her husband like hey, we'll let her do this move and do this move. She said no I'm gonna go out there freestyle to do my whole thing And that's when they hit shit with the kangaroo We're gonna lose you here

17:53Local experts minicky Doing car care right are gonna be joined by Jake Elliott coming up in a few minutes Uh Dallas's answer to the preseason interesting He did now he you know he acknowledged that it is nice to walk into the season fully healthy And not have to worry about something that could have happened But You know he did start his career in a different era right Dallas is not a young player And now he didn't play your area you but he played he started his career in 2018 Doug Peterson was still the head coach You know they played a little bit right you know like this where the Eagles have gone the last Five years Yeah, and we had Nick Serion in earlier and he mentioned which was also interesting that in 2021 nicks first year They did place him guys right and someone caught something on tape they used and and was ready for it in September And that kind of changed the perspective But Dallas has lived both lives and I have to imagine it's a two-way street one great. I'm healthy But too I haven't really played any against anyone that's trying to tackle me since last season right so that first game

18:53I have to imagine there's a little bit of weirdness when you take the field because No one has tackled you and you're an offensive player since last January Well, I would say probably not really Joe because you when you've played for a while you know how to tackle it It's just that no but getting tackled. You know when it's tackled all of that all of that But you you're used to it right and plus during that first game You don't really fill a whole lot because they're adrenaline like to be totally honest like the thing it I think that they probably had to deal with is the day after and I I'm assuming That because they ramp up differently now that they They recover differently, you know because usually when you when you start hitting that was in training camp And it took you a while for your body to recover of course the thing that is doing for them in my opinion It's longevity you know when you talk about bg playing for 15 years and guys playing For as long as they're playing I think this way allows them to play a little bit longer And I think that's the good thing about it because man we used to get after in practice

19:55And they're not doing it as much as more of a learning thing and and they're not playing preseason games It allows you it allows you to stay fresher during the course of the season in my opinion And it adds years to your career So once you know, it really hit me how little how how little they tackle and even go through the the motions of that in practice You when I was watching them I think it was the last preseason game or Bernard or it was the last one the one before Ross Tucker on the broadcast was mentioning that or Bernard because he missed a tackle He tried to tackle running back high and the guy just ran right through his arm. Yeah, that or Bernard has never tackled anybody But in his whole life because he didn't play football right and then in camp he's not allowed to tackle his own teammates Yeah, so until he makes a tackle in a game In his whole life he's never tackled anyone that's such a Technique thing more than a physical thing and then it's it's you got to think too when you're younger and you've played for like years It's instinct right It's like when you get there like when you like I see in kids when they run the hoop Your instinct is to slap the ball because you know somewhere around there

20:56That's where the quarterback is you know those are things that That's why I was interested and fascinated about you are because he has the physical attributes to be a good football player But he doesn't have the instincts how long does it take for you it to be just like riding the bike for you And when you get out there you know exactly what to do without even thinking about it for him It's probably he was out there thinking about everything that he did and then on top of that You're trying to do all of that and then somebody cut blocks you get a double team blocking things like that And now you're you're in a you know situation where You're overthinking everything So I was kind of curious to see when will it become natural for him So this he's a project no question he is and it might be I mean it might be years I mean and how we mentioned during his press conference the other day that I think a 20-23 international player just gotten traded and that guy made a roster and he was kind of saying like Maybe it won't take a war or wear a three years But whoever the player was talking about they just are making a roster now So it is clearly a long-term play Terrence and springfield is up Terrence parents

21:58Hugh Joe What's up, man? What's up Terrence what's up what's going on Uh, Joe got a bono pick with you man his Like I'm excited on the run that we're on right now and I can't say That we gotta appreciate Bryce Harbor right now because the job not done Well, this is running. He's going to have his plan on the second half of the season I need the same mentality the same repulsion to play I need a world series ring Then I then then I can appreciate Bryce Harper, but for right now. I can't appreciate it. I've not done Uh, Joe I so I Terrence I hear you and I you're right about the team and I feel similarly about the team Terrence Gonna put you on hold we got jkla coming up. 23:03And braided man. We'll let him tell you all about it. Jake. Hey, do a man Hey, dude. Well, how are you guys pretty good? So Jake has it feel to be the OG on the on the squad now You know you're all guys in the locker. Yeah, that's right. Oh, man It's good man. It's uh, it's always refreshing having having new new guys come in and some young energy, but um You know definitely have have some wisdom. I can I can spread around the locker room and um feel good being here Jake you know you mentioned OG and wisdom and I think you've played long enough now that you've seen it all right And then you've had some great years you've had years. I would say the last couple not as good as some of your best years How are you feeling mentally? How are you feeling physically at this stage your careers? You go into another year with the Eagles as their kicker It's such a mental position. I mean, it's always golf, which we'll get to How are you feeling both from a physical perspective and then just mentally heading into your 10th year Yeah, I feel good. I feel excited about where I'm at where this team's at Kind of how my offseason win how training camp went feel like I'm hitting them all really good right now and um

24:06Really just excited for another opportunity. I think like you mentioned kind of kind of similar to golf mentally and um You know you hit a good shot. You gotta figure out how to hit a good shot the next time you're the bad shot I gotta figure out how to get hit a good shot the next time. So I think all that stuff correlates really really well for me Which is why I kind of always offer this thing to do um obviously a big golfer and it all uh all kind of translates Let's talk about it jclle a jclle with us Eagles kicker play around a golf with jclle and brait and man So you're gonna play at the union league Liberty Hill you and brait and man and of course our winner here of this in the bidding Tell us about it why there and uh and we know you're a big golfer so tell us why uh this is the event for you Yeah, this is awesome. We've we've been doing this for a few years now. This is the first time we're adding brady um to the mix So it'll be fun to we we like to play we like to play a lot and banter a little bit so um to have a couple fans alongside us and and enjoy Really one of the nicest golf courses in this area, which is a high population of a lot of a lot of great golf Um played there a million times and um just love the place

25:09So like I said we've done this a couple years. It's always been a big hit We've always really gotten along with what the guys that we play with and um started for another year of it So it's safe to say that your golf game is top tier right you're you're not like Merrill because you know Merrill Merrill's a heck of a golfer right Yeah, and Merrill doesn't like Merrill's very intense when he's out there on the golf course Oh, yeah, now there'll be a little bit some intensity, but we'll have a good time as well But yeah, I like uh That's my favorite thing to do. I thought of football. So um you're gonna see me in a in a phone element Now what what kind of golfer is braiden man like you see on your level and see not quite it like tell us about him Because that adding him makes that even more interesting. Okay Braiden's a really good golfer. So we we have some good matches back and forth and um he can he can strike it now So do you are you the type of golfer they get mad when people out there on the golf course talking man? Are you are you that type of golf? That's you by the way, Jay. I can talk talk talk about No, I'm good with I mean I I deal with stuff in my backswing all the time when I'm kicking so I don't That doesn't really bother me. Okay, that's good because it like it like I know a lot of my friends that go off now

26:15Oh, here's they don't they don't like go off with me because I talk to them They tell you not to come anymore Stays and hangs out me Jacob Kieres We just had Dallas got around a few minutes ago and we were talking to him just about how preseason has changed for a lot of players Where the starters don't play you're in a different position because you're a special team or any kicker So when the team needs a kick you're the one to go out there is that good for you? Do you feel like it's like you've had a track record of success? So do you feel like you need the preseason or or not and when you see a kick go through like last week Is it give you confidence or do you just go back on hey? It's just it's preseason game my track record speaks for itself my process How about for you because you are one of the few that will play a role on this coming Sunday or next Sunday in week one that actually played in the preseason What benefit is that for you? Yeah, no, I actually really like it I think it's I think it's good for me to take it on and get on the field and in a game setting where where it feels like a real game You know nothing really changes. You're not going against any lesser talent or Different bodies of work or however you want to say it because it's you know, it's me versus

27:19Me out there. It's our operation. We're getting real reps. I I did think it's interesting that he got to kick in the preseason You know like that's the one thing you don't have backup kickers that go kick you know, I mean you don't have the third string kicker So I I think it was good like I'll say this as a fan for me It was good to see Jake's kick go through last week hit a fairly long one because he hasn't hit as many of those in the last few years Yeah, I mean and and it says a lot about the confidence that the Eagles have it in because there was not a whole lot of you know

28:25I mean his his job was kind of locked. He was on lock. You know, they guaranteed his contract. Yeah, I mean So that that that shows you how much they believe in him. So you know go out there and get that kick that was good for him Well, it's also you know, we talk about so many aspects of the team before we get to week one and every week Hugh in a year where it feels like early they're gonna play more close games and blowouts. That would be my guess He's important. I mean he kickers always important right and we've seen Jake kick a million big kicks for the Eagles in the playoffs But Jake I keep saying it to you guys. I mean, I think the first month of the season could evolve a lot of 1917 kind of games 20 to 17 kind of games So you know every extra point every fuel goal Everything's gonna count it makes it makes a big difference I mean if he's on point and he's the guy that he's been in some years of his career a lot of years Then that that pushes them towards more wins if he struggles the way he has last couple years Damn that could make it harder.
