And it's the four clock out on afternoon drop. As always, you can listen to this show and all of our local shows on the Fan On Apple Podcast, Spotify or wherever you get your podcasts. Pete Futek, College Football News, coming up in about 20 minutes time, Ohio State, Texas. Where's the lean? That's what I want to know. Anywhere it's more pressure on him, Julian Sain or Arch Manning. But we do have the lead coming up at six o'clock or five o'clock and then at six o'clock, Michael Markcots with Lock It In. We're going to try something new there. But we do have an update. You're telling me we have an update on the Shedore Sanders clearance jerseys. Yeah, so, okay, so I guess we'll set the scene for people just joining us, right? But now we're in a half ago. We were debating whether or not Shedore Sanders is jerseys being clearance meant anything. People were wondering. I mean, he's going to be traded. He's going to be real and at least treatment. We argued, argued extensively about it. I had a clothe here.
Text me the Google, sorry, the double eye emoji there. And addicts has gotten rid of their clearance of Shedore Sanders jerseys. Oh, this is this is our back to 149.99. And now they look so guilty on this. At least I was always positing the idea that it's like a, it's a rush to football type of sale. It says in fine print right here, all for expires tonight at midnight. And so it's like, all right, short bars. You got too much inventory. You got to, it's fine. You got to do what you got to do. What happened though? Where now fanatics is having to raise the power, remove the clearance. Fanatics realized they jumped the gun and they were breaking news. They sell too many jerseys. I didn't want to sell too many jerseys. They tip their hand that Shedore's getting traded or cut. I think too many people bought Shedore Sanders jerseys at 40 bucks a piece. And then they're like, well, hold on a second. We can't give these things away. No, I think it's the opposite. I think they realized they could have endangered their relationship with the NFL by putting news out there that's not ready for publication. Yeah. And this is the guiltiest move in the, oh, you see those discounted jerseys as clearance
jerseys. This is the oldest trick in the book. Oh, nothing to see here. I think somebody hired up was like, we don't discount the Shedore jerseys. We discount everything. We don't discount the Shedore jerseys. The Miles Garage jerseys, what I said, not the Shedore Sanders jerseys. I think someone high up said you guys aren't supposed to know that yet. We're not, that's not, that's not hitting until later this week or maybe the next week. They jumped the gun on this story by five or six days. That's what this is. Five or six days. Yeah. The most, the most obvious thing you can do is if there's no, hey, we got to cover it up. Oh, hey, look, we switched it back. Oh, that was an error. Oh, was the intern going full Miami Heat on this one. I've never been more certain. I'm terrified. You know I want Shedore to start. And if they do, the Browns do this. If they, if they're letting people know that Shedore's not a long time around Cleveland, I will not be happy. I need the polygraph. You're just lying. You're lying like a Persian rug right now. I mean, listen, I thought you did a good job of trying to spin. I thought you did a great job of trying to spin this because you don't want to confront
the idea. Shedore could be a short time. I was obvious. I mean, the whole thing has been obvious the entire time. Somebody of an addicts had a lot of inventory. They wanted to get rid of the inventory. Well, maybe even in the hour 15, they're like, all right, we got it, Shedore fans. We sold what we needed to back to full price, but they're back to full price. I hope a lot of people took advantage of the discounted price while it lasted. Then it'll be again, and maybe five to six days if something happens here, something to keep an eye on again, the Jersey market never lost. It's not anything to keep an eye on. That's a big expression that everyone says in the clothing your business. I know because my clothing your guys said that. You got to get the emojis. Yeah, your guy that happens to shop in online clothing. He says that's their clothing guy. He's very connected in the community over there. Not connected at all. And again, you don't know my guy and I'm not going to give up my source. I'm fairly confident. But quite frankly, I get it. You're going to stay in denial and that's what I love about you. You're that loyal to Shedore. That's not what he didn't sup you. He sucked me. That's not what that is. I get it. I get it. You're playing the game and I appreciate that. We are back to full price. Yeah, we're back to full price. They're on to it. They realize they let it out of the water.
They pay to be in home. There is nothing to freak out about people. There's nothing to be concerned about. Not that there was anything to be concerned or freaked out about to begin with. But the waters are calm. Oh, man. The waters are calm. The prices are back to normal. I can't tell it on yourself. Everything is a-okay. I believe that you believe that or that you want to believe that. Pete Futick, I've been up in about 15 minutes time. All this being said, I feel like one of the, listen, let's be clear here. The Browns Jacks game in every, every publication, every podcast that I'm seeing is getting the least amount of time in week one. The NFL Daily Podcast. Yeah. It was like two minutes at the end of the podcast. Ross Tucker, there was a whole chapter. It looked like a five minute chapter. This is what five minutes look like. It's a little better. And it was like 30 seconds. I mean, I think it is the largest spread of week one. If it's not the largest, it's got to be the seconds. I thought it was the second largest. There's somebody who had a bigger line.
I thought- The point is is that sometimes like people brought up earlier today that we're talking about like how week one is such a mystery and how week one you get all sorts of wacky results. And last year, the Patriots and the Raiders, the Raiders actually beat the Patriots. And it's like, yeah, go look at that spread though. That was a three point spread. Well, I think about it. The Raiders and the Patriots last year, week one was three points. Most books don't know what to do with the team when the season is getting ready to go. And the idea that you'd have it at eight and a half means they have a pretty strong feeling about how this is going to go. I mean, it started at seven and a half and I just think the money- Seven. I think the money is pushed it too. Because no, I don't think anyone's betting on the Browns. I think the money is pushed- Yeah, they're trying to, they're trying to, well, they're trying to bait the public into betting on the Browns. Instead of having the bait, the betting, no, the betting public is not biting right now. Maybe you're- Oh, I'll bite you. Maybe you're going to bite, but the betting public isn't biting right now. That's why it will bite. That's why it keeps going up and they keep giving you more points if you want to bet on your Browns. If I was a Browns fan and you're thinking about betting on this game, it's very reasonable to wait until Sunday at like 12.55 before you go and place any bets.
But you and I have talked about and kind of tracked the narratives on this game or the narratives about the Browns. And I think it's really been interesting here. In the last week, I've heard more Brown's defensive concerns than I did the entire offseason. I mean, even I posted a clip of you and I doing the Jared verse bills potential, like what would you rather have taken for Miles Garrett? Yeah. And the amount of- I was blown away because I have not heard anyone have Jared verse doubt. And the first three comments on my Nick doc and Nick Wilson says, uh, were, oh, I don't think Jared versus that good. Oh, I rather with three first because I think Jared versus overrated. And I do think this is an emerging thing. Like I think I listen, you've always they've always worried about his sack production and whether or not it's going to be the greatest thing you've ever seen. And I would argue that I were I focus more on his pressures and his quick hits. And that's where he tends to shine. You're focusing just on the sacks.
You're not going to get the full picture. But I just think like the the the doubters about the Browns defense. And I did hear this after I called in about an hour and a half after I called in. They waited to have their response to me about an hour and a half after I called it. And the morning boys of the idea of well, but what if the defense takes a step back? And it's just interesting. Again, I'm not saying that Jared versus the player that Miles Garrett is. And you know how much I love to Jim Schwartz. How furious I was that they led. Jim Schwartz that they bungled the Jim Schwartz side of this. Sure. And I also don't buy a hundred percent that old Rudy there is. I'm going to try and put his own spin on the defense. That's what coaches do in the NFL. They want to make it there so they can take the credit for it. It makes sense that he's going to make some changes on this defense. But this idea that the only reason this defense had success was Miles Garrett and Jim Schwartz is wildly wrong. And I get national people don't really maybe pay as much attention to Carson Swaychinger and Denzel Ward, Grant Delpitt with a breakout. They know they know who that are. The Browns have pro-bores at three levels of the defense.
Like there's an understanding I think that exists there. It's just I think the difference here Nick is that I think the expectation if you think they're going to be last year, they were number five in defense of EPA. I think people are saying that's not that that's a part that's not going to happen again. Now it could be top five in defense of EPA. You but if you're around I don't know 9 10 11 12 that's not the biggest drop off and that's not the biggest worry. I just think I just think the Miles Garrett discourse and Miles by the way is getting an incredible glow. He's got to count for something. I mean he is just he just recently was named the number one player in the NFL. He does but again they replaced him with another guy who again if you look at QB hits and if you look at pressures is also a top 10 edge pressure and I understand there is a gap between Miles and Jared verse but my Jared's also still an ascending player. So that is a gap that even though I don't think Jared verse over comes it he can close that gap significantly going into year three. And so I listen if you want to say I just there's too many ifs on offense I get it
100% I get that I'm saying to me it's all about the offensive line. If the offensive line comes out and is jailed or is close to jelling early I think that's going to be a huge head start on having a functional offense but I'm saying the ifs at every level on the offense and I that's where I am being a little polyena all right I'm comparing it to last year's offense which is non-functional but I get that the defense I just again like I feel like it's just while Miles Garrett and Jim Schwartz left town so to the browns defensive relevance and I just think that's I think people have gone too far on it after hearing enough and including our guy was talking on his podcast. Yeah I mean if that's the case then yeah I suggest people want a little bit too far but I've had part of my my feelings about this season baked into that idea that there's not going to be a top five defensive team next year. That's just that's just not going to happen. It's but it should they live in the top 10 area yeah they should now what a ross say. Oh basically he just thinks they are going to fall out of the top 10. Yeah I mean and again I can how far are we talking here as well as the other components this
because I can't find too many people that think they're just going to be they're going to be a bad defense I think most people believe it's going to be the calling card of this browns team is still going to have to be the defensive side of the ball there still is again talent in every level of that defense. So you're ready for what I threw out there and it Wilson says on Twitter earlier today? Sure what's here is because I do think it's it's still a little more skewed than I thought it would be but I think this is an interesting question to ask. So what's more likely for the Browns in 2026? The defense falls out of the top 10 or the offense leaps out of the bottom 10 and mind you it's not hard to not be a bottom 10 offense in the NFL. Well you can make an argument that the Browns already last year were outside of the top 10 scoring defense scoring defense they were I think 12 to 13th in the NFL. So are we talking EPA? Are we talking when what measurement are we talking just the broadest the broad defensive power rankings when this is all said? What's your favorite measurement? You really want to know I do you really want you really want to know say the NC say what what oh come on you're not going
to out freak this freak okay so what's your favorite measurement no no no I I guess let's do let's do EPA so when I bring up the most and talking positively about the Browns defense I guess we have to go so is that the is it are we doing top 10 defensive EPA next year? I think as much as I don't like EPA when it comes to the offensive side of the ball I think defensively for this conversation I think it more than applies and really it's individual stuff with EPA but we don't have to go down that road. I feel like them existing in the top 10 that there's a yeah that I don't think that I'm that's not the expectation I even have for them so it's not even like will the offense get to be out of the top 10 or will the defense fall out of the top 10 my expectation is for the defense already be 10 to 15 in defense of EPA when it's all said and done. Mm-hmm 216 474 0092 I thought by the way not a wild insult to the defense if you're a top 10 defense EPA that's still an impressive thing I feel wildly insulted I don't know why you're looking at it in that sort of way if you have a even a middle-of-the-road defense is a still a very formidable defense and one that you can do a lot with. What about scoring defense? Scoring defense again can be can be
can be different because as evidence but I want to say if I can change your result here that's what I'm saying. Scoring defense scoring offense what's more likely the Browns fall out of the top 10 of scoring defenses or the Browns offense they already wore out of the top 10 and scoring defenses last year. That's why I'm standing again back to the top 10. I don't I don't get it I don't get it. I'm being difficult. I'm being difficult. Not really I just didn't understand it. Vote. Atnik Wilson says defensive step back or an offensive step forward what is more likely Pete Futek College football news will talk pressure on Ohio State and Texas coming up in five minutes on 92-3 the fan. Football talk coverage on the fan presented by Xfinity scored the most reliable Wi-Fi one price five years guaranteed Xfinity imagine that. Niggin JP back on the fan we got the lead coming up in about 40 minutes time locking in and JP and I agree on Browns wins in losses
of the overall record individual games coming up at six o'clock tonight by the way Daryl had the most Daryl tweet about the Shedore Jersey thing ever. Yeah what is that if you're just joining us Fanatics had a good deal of Shedore Jersey's marked down to clearance at $3,9999 and then the story got out and they realized they might be breaking news that Shedore might be a short time or in Cleveland and they immediately flipped them back to regular prices. Yeah that's why they did that. Daryl saying everyone can relax. That's that's the most the least relaxed person I know is saying everyone can relax. Shedore Sanders, Jersey's are off the 70% clearance and back to normal price at the Browns online team store. People could have gotten a hook up but a discount like that when viral and ruined it for everyone. It ruined it? That's what Daryl saying. Daryl yeah. It didn't ruin it. I would ruin it. No ruined it. Yeah because people couldn't be cool. As if people didn't talk about it online it was just going to exist forever. Yeah as if more people. Come on Daryl. Come on Daryl.
Is that for an hour or 15? If you didn't take advantage of it that's on you. At right or wrong FAN by the way if you want to follow that delightful follow as anybody figured out how many I purchased seven 32. Mm or 12. Fair back. Fair back. Riss up. Meanwhile we got Ohio State Texas this weekend. We had a very nice Daryl and Mensa performance for Miami. We got a lot of college football to talk here. And so we had out the Wyne chart right. We make it right. Call Kyle Wright hotline Pete Futech at college football news now. Joining us Pete welcome back to the show. There's a man who walks around my neighborhood. Yeah older man. It's been about 15 20 years or so. You know maybe that all quite there but okay this a nice old man who wears a Cleveland Brown's Andre Ryzen jersey. What's that? What would that so for compared to the Shadour jersey Brown jersey? That's a real one. That wasn't that that one wasn't set on fire by by left eye. That's it made it Pete. Yeah
maybe somehow got there but yeah you know Shadour that's kind of all right good yeah that there's there's a lot of stuff happening in your world here at the football lot of football you think happens this week. If you usually do be like that Pete. All right thinking about Ohio State Texas this weekend. Who's got more pressure on them going into this game Archmaning or Julian Sain? Oh by a hundred thousand times it's it's Archmaning because it's a home game. This is they they're owned two in the big giant games against Grindan Ohio State at this point and they've only played five times and all five of them were hugely meaningful whether it was you know the bench young performance and the win over Ohio State. Grit or the great bowl game in there in the mix I mean these are you know Ohio State and Troy Smith you know set the tone for a season with the win and they go to the longhorn three. These have been awesome and of course you know the semi final game in last year you know if Texas played Ohio instead of Ohio State it's in the college football playoff
and Miami isn't you know so these this is as bad as massive as it gets but you look at the schedule ahead for Texas if they don't win at home against Ohio State this is another nine and three year that they're probably not going to make the college football playoff. If Ohio State loses okay fine it's Texas it's on the road so I have to go to Indiana still some nightmare games ahead of the much tougher schedule than last year but they're probably not losing two more games and for Arch again this is you're you're at home you're supposed to win this game and that's the show up and play well. How do you think he looked obviously it's tough it's against Texas state it is what it is but the the interception I thought was pretty awful and actually there's parts of the the first quarter where I was that little like oh Arch I don't know that I love this what was your perception of of how he played in and week week one at least exactly week one fine you know you can't really get you know too much into the weeds about a throw here or play there
he was great at the end of last season he progressed people stopped paying attention to Texas for the most part but he really did get better and and I still think he gets a bum rap because what everyone you know he just gets cemented in everyone's mind that opening game of last year yeah sorry your first game really is a full-time starter goes against the best defense and college football which gave up nothing pretty much all year long I mean it's not his fall how state's defense was awesome last year and yet all the time he gave all our arches you know this guy is overrated blah blah blah well so is everyone else who plays against Ohio State's defense last year this one let's see if the defense can show up again for Ohio State and make arch look bad but if you want to talk about count wise I've been you know preaching all year that Ohio State offense is unfairly counted at the still spots well so is Texas I mean can can Coleman's going to be a top 10 maybe top five pick and it would not be insane I don't think it's happening but would
not be completely wacky if he was the first receiver taken off the board I'm going to be Jeremiah Smith of course but it's not crazy you know I would smother as an NFL caliber running back and arch is probably the number one overall pick so they've got everything there and they're in Texas all the pressure is on Texas in this to win this all right Pete I'm not a big believer in Steve Sarkeesian and every year he gets a a fair amount of love despite Texas being pretty okay most times be look at him Steve Sarkeesian Dan landing Lane Kiff and Mario Christobal there's probably another four or five guys behind him that belong in this but you know Ryan Day was that guy for a long time the people said good coach great job can't win the big game can't win the nati who is the next coach that that deserves to the most deserving coach of guy that can't win at all that actually ends up winning at all first let me take Kiff and out of there he is the the coach
but he hasn't had the program I mean remember at USC they were under the Reggie Bush coma penalty stuff where they really couldn't recruit it they weren't eligible for anything in one year at Tennessee the guy took Florida Atlantic to two eleven win seasons and Ole Miss is not Ole Miss is basically Vanderbilt on steroids as a program that's not a super power level program he's getting his chance now I this is this is when I think the lane I this is why there's party it's because why the SEC's lost its mind because they realize that basically they have Nick Saban going to Alabama here that he is that good and he is bound by nothing in terms of resources and that's all I kind of take him out of that pressure mix Christobal yeah I do a certain except he got them there last year Dan landing I it's weird with him because I am waiting to see that time we were watching Oregon and he doesn't have to flare up his team it is three and for some reason this is a remember Oregon has not lost to a team that wasn't in or running national
championship in the last like four years like everything whether it was Washington twice a couple years ago or you know how state or you know last year losing to Indiana like this thing doesn't lose to anyone but national title teams but yet they always seem to underwhelming you like be motivated to come on the second half but yes they're key to him the thing about him is look he brought Texas back remember just how bad Texas was for so long it had a moment or two here and there in the post-Mac Brown Air I'm totally blanking on the guy named Luther Coach who is there who was good for a little bit he's surely strong no he was good for a year god there's one other guy I'm totally blank I'm just embarrassing but yes anyway he was a coach he's there for like ten years thank you oh Herman yes and he was good for a while but then not but he brought the program remember a bento just ask him I'll tell you
I'm certainly not do a super power status but the problem with Sarkees and continue to be wait long enough and he's going to blow it like you can still I can I will never get over the second worst play call in the history of football next to the Seahawks throwing it on first thing goal from the one with Martian and it's back there second go whatever it is against the pages of the Super Bowl second worst play called running wide on that Ohio State defense in the semi-final just all you had to do with you know push push archmanning four times from the one and let's see what happens and he always they always just get too cute the game plan against Washington and the other semi-final the year before I don't know maybe you should throw the ball against this defense they can't do anything they didn't figure that out until five minutes to go so he's obviously a great coach obviously a great recruiter Texas is obviously great but there's always that one moment where you know the Bobby Night Live classic lineup I was worried his
team is better than us and I looked down the other side there's zero bar bill brown coach you get the other end and I knew everything was going to be okay kind of that way with their keys in here Pete last year I really didn't expect it to be what turned out to be a 14 seven game say in numbers where he just he just wasn't very impressive I thought oh I was taking a protect of them 13 to 20 126 didn't really push the ball down the field and and and Arches name kind of is very disappointing in general tell me how you think this game is actually going to go is it going to be low scoring or the two quarterbacks have evolved enough now where we might get a little bit more of a shootout defenses are obviously very different boat for both sides Ohio state turning over a lot of guys last year to this year yeah the same pale apologies here for you know for man or saying this for many I think that Texas defense was the truth too I mean they they had some NFL dudes on that side so you're talking about yeah great quarterbacks but these defenses are both elite the thing that I'm waiting to kind of see on this one is all right are you going to go full throttle here Ohio state and we saw it for that moment against ball state when it was
it 99 yards to go yeah okay ball state the first two runs don't go anywhere and then bam saying it's that throw to get the get them out of a jam and then oh yeah let's just float one to Jeremiah Smith who's totally covered for a 48 yard touchdown like it was like that which is frighteningly effective the offensive line needs to be a little better than it was against ball state that's a little nitpicking I don't think we're going to see any sort of a shootout I'll be shocked I think that both teams are going to play a little bit not to screw up relying on the defense field position blah blah blah but at some point in the game there these quarterbacks have to be turned loose and we saw it a little bit in that opener last year where you could tell archman he was just coach don't screw this up and we have a shot and they did they had the ball in their hands and then then all of a sudden the last driver the game what happened it said go out there and let's you know chuck it and believe it and he just with a quarterback and you saw what he could do he looked pretty good on that final drive when he can't we could stop thinking and just rear back in fire I'm hoping
we see that I'm hoping we see these two quarterbacks get turned loose and these coaches play not to lose all right Pete uh banner week for bill bellicic and dabo shweeney despite the fact that bill bellicic has a chance to start the season three and oh I do want to know who do you think has a better chance of being an in season firing bellicic or dabo bellicic fine now I mean look he's seen this btc you I mean that was a master class performance by the guy it's billicic bellicic showed that he's probably the greatest defensive coaching mind ever uh in that game let's see what happens going forward let's see if no Carolina can keep this up the program might be a mess overall but for at least right now there all right I don't think dabo is getting fired look you know that it was ugly but I like I keep I think I think we're at the world is not quite getting what we're about to see with ls u like settle in as long as ls u doesn't get kicked out of the
s e c which is not and you know kiffin doesn't implode this ls u thing is going to be a problem for pretty much the rest of our natural football lives here i mean this ls u's just that much better than just about everyone else other than the top teams i i think this is a case of bad game for clenpson bad luck billiard good team i think that was more about ls u just being awesome but yeah it's not a good look if you're if you're dabo and you're clenpson and you're not that far removed from being the superpower superpowers and you have the worst game of then you're a long and story career against uh uh against the tigers like that. Is this the last week we see brice under what it michigan is their quarterback? You know what here we're about to see i can't wait to see this because there's a part of me think that all right michigan had the weird week one and and also wester michigan's pretty good that might we have a quirky game coming up in a couple weeks where boydysate comes to calamazoo that might be a playoff game that might be the game
for the group of six conference champion because wester michigan is a nasty mac game that's that you're michigan you're supposed to win that game all that kind of stuff there is a weird part of me that thinks that michigan's about to show up against local home and like okay that's that's what we're talking about and i had this this that's really crazy thought that you know what either brice under what's going to get benched or else he rocks against oklahoma and this kicks him off and you know weird way could that play have been his heisman moment like no of course he's going to look awful the rest of the way but if he kicks it in that's the moment that everyone's going to remember but we're going to see if they get rocked by oklahoma and under what looks awful and is oklahoma defense is that good then yeah you got to do something to move that offense because he looked absolutely lost against wester michigan i p we got 15 seconds who you pick and Ohio state texas Ohio state the Ohio state will win our same thing our child the ball in his hands
with a shot to win and the Ohio state defense will come through i p we appreciate you buddy great stuff i can be there you guys he feuds at college football news on the wise heart right we make it right call kyle right hotline great stuff with him will react to his thoughts on Ohio state michigan i state michigan Ohio state texas in five minutes on ninety two three the fan plan a hundred thousand times this is dark men because it's a home game this is their own two in the big giant games against crying day and all out day this is why and this is as bad as massive as it gets but you look at the schedule ahead for texas if they don't win at home against the Ohio state this is another nine and three year that they're probably not going to make the college football play if Ohio state loses okay fine texas on the road stuff to go to indiana self and nightmare games the heads of much suffered scheduled the last year but that's probably not losing two more games
and for arch again this is your your at your at home you're supposed to win this game and let's see him show up and play well beat few tech there college football news talking about the pressure being solely on arch manning and i think i think he's right what's interesting is the manning family has done what i can only say is a tremendous job of shielding arch from a lot of the nonsense that should come with being uh you know the the the generational sion the air to the manning quarterback thrown i don't think you can i don't think you can shield him from this kind of pressure there this game is so crucial to how people think about him because this really kind of has to be the year i know there's this thought that arch could go back for a third year start a quarterback in Texas and i think it is possible and only it's likely but it is possible the problem is i think if arch doesn't take command of texas this year i i think he's going to really have to get over the hump of people's perception in the 2028 draft yeah i mean he's not going to end up like when you
wears or anything like that but uh but it'll always it kind of persists that idea of like you have to win yet to win the big game that's on sarc and it's on arch now and so they i think there's a bunch of pressure i mean how state can lose this game and people are still going to have national title aspirations for a high state you're soon to talk about them is one of the best teams in college football and life will move on if arch woosh is this one this this could stay with him for a while i just know knowing how much how connected that family is and how it seems like they've got a great structure to help each other go through a lot of this stuff i still have no i i understand why they landed on texas from the standpoint of that is a blue blood program the sarc stuff is the part that i just don't get i just don't want to confidence in sarc i mean sarc was uh he flamed out at USC he was fine at washington but fine is as good as a god at washington and he's had one season where it looked like they were going to do something significant at texas and that was about three years ago now and so i just i i i'm just flabbergasted by it because they're so smart but like even like
patent stumping for adam gays and adam gays just becoming the biggest weirdo non factor of a quarter of a head coach ever yeah i mean they just don't have good taste in in head coaches maybe i'm trying to figure out if there's anything we can directly i mean patent is historically went to four super balls with four different head coaches and obviously one two with you know and i mean like that's like that's kind of his theme of his NFL career was i can do it regardless of the coach well i mean they just don't give enough credit to the coach i think it's like the bellicac coaching tree where like bellicac was the guy that were trying to emulate and they got a bunch of non bellicacchi in guys and be like well maybe that bellicac guys just a good head coach i mean tom Brady's good at quarterbacking i just think that's what it is i think i think i think paid manning likely believes i did it with everybody and anybody you threw at me you should do it with just about anybody as well and the coach isn't going to make or break you you are going to make or break you and that's got to be your mentality i know that there's college football is just different than that though i know there's a button of talent NFL talent on this field
i have no doubt in my mind that both archmaning and julian saying are going to be much better quarterbacks than they were in this game last year we're both the only way you can do the arrows got to go up there's no i mean well i'm talking about like significantly better like it wouldn't surprise me if this was a quarterback showcase so julian saying is what i'm interested in all this yeah i pointed this out before i don't know why maybe this is in like deeper college football circles i just don't know why more people aren't discussing the idea that against texas last year they scored 14 points against indiana the big ten title game they scored 10 and against Miami in the college football playoff they scored 14 julian say and had as many interceptions as he had touchdowns at three a piece in those three games like i he wasn't good against the three games that matter the most last year he was phenomenal in games that didn't matter is absolutely he was awesome against teams that maybe weren't the greatest all things considered by talking against the the teams that were the elite of the elite last year in college football the offense as a whole did not put up a lot of points and it's interesting um i i can't remember the exact thing that he said
but Josh paid had some line about julian saying about doubts about julian saying i think it was about like his work ethic or something like that and i haven't been able to shake those on top of the fact that like you know i i heard enough julian say and it's going to be one of those quarterbacks in the top five in this off season about the top five picks and next year's uh draft and i was like but he's he six foot one and he's like two hundred pounds and like when i was the thing in the off season was him trying to put on weight right i'm trying to get bigger and that's why he's dating a plotty since i mean that's not how you do it i don't think i don't think i don't think polotties is is is the she's helping him sculpt his father answer to like what's put on some muscle yeah but it's really let's get let's get it couldn't hurt it's good jet it couldn't hurt i don't think it i don't know that polotties helps get very flexible very flexible very flexible it can help in certain places yeah uncertain instances golf definitely yeah definitely yeah and maybe like if somebody's trying to bring it down you get a little flexibility there are you worried that that say in just maybe i again this is just a concern i have but i i just don't know i don't know that
necessarily is awesome against the great teams and this is one of those things that he's going to have to showcase i think you said who do you think is less likely to show up for this game and have a big game it would be julien saying i i like i just i want i think it's arches time i i don't expect him i expect him to fulfill the prophecy this year i do um and i think this game is the beginning of that and i still just look at julien i'm like he's a very average physical talent and i i haven't seen like i haven't been able to pinpoint like oh that's what makes him special yet and that's what i think this year's about but i think that like with arch you can be like prodigy prototypical NFL size he's very athletic uh i he is obviously has the lineage of being a great quarterbacks from that family going back three generations now i i see it with arch even if i don't think we've seen it consistently with julien i still don't i don't get it i don't i don't don't see it yet yeah uh and then you know it's funny ryan day all week is spent about the run
game and whether or not you get the run game going i i'm so fascinated to see how this game actually plays out you know i'll have state turned over so much of that defense from last year to this year it's gonna give arch more opportunities i think i have it is gonna be more of a shootout is gonna be more of a defensive mind a game it's just a it's a true mystery of a game and i'm fascinated to see what happens two on six four seven four double o nine two at niquilson says at jp darlin on social media and at niquilson says on tiktok tiktok that is uh who has more pressure on them going into this game archmaning or julien saying i agree with pete futec i think it is march archmaning i also think archmaning has a better chance of showing up in this game than julien saying does based off of everything but i'm prepared to be wrong and julien wants to come in and throw you know four tutties in three hundred three hundred yards i'll i'll leave that crow on mondays show i should never see in a quarterback that gets such heisman love heisman hype it gets talked about the way he does that nobody just has any expectations for julien saying the lead in five
minutes on ninety two three the fan
