Nick Wilson and the Bum Slayer back on afternoon drive. We do not the Bum Slayer. Kirk Cousins is the Bum Slayer. We're trying to find out if Julian say it can be the Bum Slayer. If you want to, if you want to slide Bum, you can slide Bum. In fact, I was gonna, I mean, really the end result was we were going to turn Drake May into the Bum Slayer. Yeah. Yeah. Ridiculous, though. I come in the studio and everyone's acting as if like, oh, how could you not have seen that one coming? I know how because we're not in England. I didn't think Penn didn't think he'd take Bum to be any sort of, a loose way. I didn't think that's only an English term. I didn't think it. I'm sure you can use it in a lot of places, but when I think different ways to say the word ass, Bum is like 37th on that list. I just think of, I think of terms like homeless people, you know, and I don't, I,

Bum is a derogatory term towards the homeless community for me. So I don't think that way. Yeah. I've reprogrammed my brain that I don't even think Bum when I see a stranger. That's nice. That's where you call him. Streeter chin. Yeah. See, I have very nice ways of, you know, the less fortunate as it were. I think Temporogen House is what they're going for these days. That's kind of like the branding that, that big bomb wants out there. Big Bum. Yeah. That's what I call that. Yeah. Big Bum wants that. That's the branding. You're painting the again for the second time of the show. That's the branding that's wanted out there. The Bum Slayer is painting. And I don't care for it. I, more conscious new to the show. I had to explain to them. If I do the show existing in the world where I like have to consciously wonder if anything is going to be turned into an innuendo of sorts or anything sexual, I can't do the show. Jesus had to use that to power through and then let Nick when he wants to just kind of, I don't know, take it whatever direction he goes and just live with the consequences. I'm just trying to pick up whatever you're putting down. You can turn just about every, it was Nick can turn just about everything into something sexual if you want to.

Thank you. It's an app that has three kids. Yeah. I mean, you just can't even worry about those type of things. A dog in 1946 saying, asked your boy Jonathan. Yeah. He didn't spill Jonathan right though. He spelt over at H in there and that bugs me. Okay. If Sanders falls into the Bum Slayer category, he literally played nobody in college. Do you think Shadore Sanders slays Bums? No, I've never put him in that category. No. You could if you wanted to. No. And the Bum Slayer exclusively only beats Bums. Drake May is, this is why it's qualified for this. He's now 13 to know against T, or sorry, 13 to know again, Owen 13, excuse me, against teams with a 500 or better record. Yeah. Yeah. Owen 13, win list against teams with an above 500 record. Bum Slayer. Yeah, he's beat a lot of Bums. It's kind of like the whole idea of last year's Patriots team is like Joe Jackson. He had this mattingly easy schedule. They didn't play any tough teams. Go look up with the quarterback list that they played last year.

It's a lot of Bums on that list. I didn't realize how into Bums you were. Drake May beat him all. Yeah. He beat all those Bums. Yeah. He beat him all. I'm proud of you. Yes, he did. You know, I know that there's a big Bum market out there. Uh-huh. And a lot of people like pay a lot of attention to Bums. Yep. I believe there's actually a segment called. You know, like just a catchy term that people would remember. That's all. Brazilian Bumlips. No, it's a big conversation out there. And you're bringing Bum awareness. And that's what people love about you. And this thing with you and Mark Hatch, I don't love developing either by the way. That's right. It's thing Mark Hatch comes in between the break. He goes, oh, yeah, you know, Nick, Nick gives me a look. I get my smile back. It's like our little, it's our little thing. We're developing a friendship here. I don't know that I love this. Listen, he's got to hurt you, Mark Hatch. Okay. He's going to do it. You know, last night, I think he's done this before. When you felt a little, a little dejected last night as he was saying how you're basically a square and you don't watch any obelid danger and you don't watch any, uh, all these other people and then in the span of an hour and a half, I think you, you look feeling like

you're accused of a lot of things on the air. Next time he does that, don't come cry to Jonathan. All right. Don't, don't come cry to Jonathan. Have you come cry to Jonathan at all? You made your Nick Wilson bed. You get to lie in it now. I got, I really like to abuse the, the board off and then wonder why they're on my side. I got Jake Murr and my team. I got this Mark Hatch Nick Wilson thing. I, listen, I, the guy that was served to the studio the more they liked me. The guy that was there before it was an imp, it was the bond existed. The bond is a statement. If I can clarify, I'm not saying his name, it's in the witness protection program. It just works for 8.50. That's all different, different station, different people, different, I don't, I don't go down that road. If I can at least clarify a lot of, you know, my job during the day involves making eye contact with Nick. That's true. So, and I, and maybe it's just happening on accident. And somebody on TikTok. He loves this. Dick said. He loves this budding relationship. Somebody on TikTok, Dick did say I have beautiful eyes. Yeah. Who was that? When you clicked in the profile, who was that person?

His name is, or their name is, uh, Bane Damage. Yeah. Yeah. Her trim. How do you know it was a he? Yeah. Well, I mean, I'm guessing here. Let me go back to the, let's see, Bane Damage, Bane Damage, Bane Damage, Bane Damage. There he is. His name is Bane Bramage. He's scrolling. Yeah. Uh, US Navy. Good. So, a veteran. Thank you for your service. Thank you for your service. Uh, Stroke Survivor. He put that in the, in the, the, the headlines. Sure did. Right after US Navy veteran. All right. I'm happy he survived. He, well, if he didn't survive, he wouldn't give the compliment. Living the simple life in West Virginia. Oh, you say I wanted to ask you things about West Virginia. Does he know how many bad things you say about West Virginia? Probably why he likes me so much. Yeah. But I can take a compliment. I don't get weirded out by that. All right. I'm a man here. Why would you compliment you? I get very uncomfortable. Oh, compliments. I want to compliment. Listen to everybody out there on 92 through the Vans YouTube channel chat. If you want to tell me, if you think I have pretty eyes, you just let loose. I, there's no judgment here. I'm not going to think you're hitting on me. It's going to think you're speaking the truth out there on Twitter.

You want to say I got pretty eyes. I get it. Yeah. Next slide. I hear a lot. She's like planet fitness, judgment free zone. That is true. That doesn't take any compliment. Doesn't matter who it comes from, where it comes from, doesn't matter. And built like a planet. Come on now. Hmm. And then I got that. That being said, back to the Browns Jaguars game, Josh Heinz Allen. So the honestly, I don't think he ever would have been Josh Heinz Allen if not for Josh Allen the quarterback, right? I mean, that's not a, like I don't think that's what he's publicly said. He has said that. Yeah. And it's an attention to Josh Heinz Allen's press conferences. And by the way, it's the right call. There's only one Josh Allen. You lost that battle. You're very good. He's very good. He lost that battle. Anyway, Josh Heinz Allen's talked about, it feels like we got a guarantee from him about this Browns Jaguars game. The last time you went against an offense led by Todd Monkin, it was 2023 against Baltimore. They had over 250 yards on the ground. Are you expecting that play style to translate over to Cleveland as well? He's not going to happen.

They're not, I mean, that's, Armado is to stop the run. So by any means, they're not running the ball that much on us. So I expect, you know, coming out running the ball, I think, you know, his philosophy of how he sees the game. Yes, I expect that, but 200 and 30 yards, that's not happy. So respectfully. Now I would like to know, and maybe if Todd Monkin just chops off that respectfully, can Todd Monkin of the Browns churn this into some high quality bulletin board material? Maybe. This is honestly, I think it's more of a shot at Monkin than it is anything else, but what's interesting, I mean, Monkin still gets the last laugh out of that. The game he's referencing was 2023. That was his first season as Baltimore's OC. They ran for 251 yards, but Monkin ran the ball 42 times. All he did was run the ball that game. And he basically dared Jacksonville to stop the run. We've already positive about this weekend, whether or not that would be one of the Browns' formulas to try to win this game. And if he thinks Jacksonville's week against the run based off of a game that happened three years ago, maybe he'd go back to that well.

Yeah, I mean, I think the Browns, no matter who the quarterback is, but certainly if it's a game changing, sorry, game changing. The game managing Deshaun Watson, I think a healthy dose of the run game makes a lot of sense. Well, but so the problem within this is that, you know, obviously anytime you talk about the Ravens, you're like, all right, so what did Lamar do though? Lamar had 12 carries in that game for just under a hundred yards. Lamar was wildly effective with his run game. As part of the plan with Deshaun, he's talked about using his legs and being able to use that part of this. Is he going to try to do anything like he did with Lamar or is he just going to admit that can't happen here? No, I mean, I think that's, I actually think that's a significant part of why Todd Munkin needs to see Deshaun Watson first is he thinks he can get something out of the ground game. And it's interesting because I tend to agree with what Zach Jackson said with the Monoboy's earlier this week, actually yesterday, if you guys want to go back and listen to that, which is I don't think that Deshaun Watson has the jets he had earlier in his career.

And honestly, I think if you watch him move in the pocket, I can't tell. Now, this is where I, this is where I'll be fair to Deshaun. I can't tell if he looks a step slower because he doesn't have pocket awareness. When the pocket breaks down, he's looking for an angle to go to. And so he just has never gotten to open space to showcase his legs or whether he just doesn't have them. Or the injuries. Or the injuries just over took him. And that's what I leaned towards. Seems more plausible. Seems more likely. But Todd Munkin is seeing something that I'm not seeing in practice every day. I'll leave wiggle room for the idea of well, he sees him every day. Maybe he's seeing a getting up gear that I that again, I don't know it exists anymore. We should also acknowledge Jacksonville's run defense is much better. Obviously, then it was three years ago when that game happened, but it's just much better in general. One of the things they kind of thrive in. And so I'm interested to find out if your only response is going to be, well, we're going to run the ball like crazy and we're going to make sure we just win Sean is great. The offensive line showcases what it can do.

We showcase what it can do against the Sean that you kind of playing. I had so interesting. There's like seven different ways you can play into Jacksonville's hands in this game. I would imagine they want to show on the throw the ball because they think the Sean still can't throw the ball, but they feast that run defense is really, really good. They feast when teams try to run. So I think that's where the DeSean part of this comes down and where again, I can see the hypothetical idea of all right. If you can stop or bottle up Quinten, John Judkins and two things DeSean can do is deliver an on time ball to Casey concepts, he owns it seven yards in a slant. And then Casey can do the heavy playmaking lifting. And then the other side that DeSean has is one, two, all right, nothing here. I'm going to get 10 yards. I can understand how those could be secret weapons in this matchup given everything you've said and everything we know about the Jacksonville defense. Again, I'm skeptical that Sean can do those things, but I can at least understand

like part of my frustration is big picture. I'm trying to figure out how DeSean does it. And this matchup, I can see what I think Todd Monk and sees. And if you use pace, which is another way I think they're going to try, I think it was Nate Tyson's big on the pace is going to be huge this year for offenses. I can see that as part of that as well. Oh, from the NBA to the NFL pace, the conversation nobody wants to have everyone seemingly having. I feel like we're going right back to Chip Kelly's Oregon offense from like 15 years ago. And then they'll check my stuff, how he rose into the locker while we're at it. And then and then all of a sudden pace didn't matter and we're right circling back to pace matters. Now for the 75 million of time, the NFL is cyclical, Nick. It's what goes around comes around it. All right, great. Even down to the defensive conversations we're having and everything. Like the quarters coverage conversation is existed in the NFL for like six years now. And people every single offseason are like they figured it out. They know how to stop these guys. No, they don't yet. You know what you have to do? You don't. Yeah, bracket coverage.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, this guy is a really good wide receiver. If you tried bracket coverage, I'm also played Madden. Yeah. Two and six, four, seven, four, double, nine, two. Josh Heinz Allen. I'm going to say guarantees. Well, a guarantee that they won't look like they did four years ago against some of our Jackson. How much will Jacksonville sell out to dare to Sean to beat them more on that and the extremes in the Jacksonville game for the Browns? And what can change your mind in five minutes on 92 three, the fan? Opening week on the fan, presented by hands free sketchers at slip ins. Just step in and go. We're going to see if we can lock it in together coming up at about 15 minutes here. Nick Wilson, Jonathan Peterlin. We do have the coach's show coming up at seven o'clock tonight, playing to get to. In case you missed it and the like much to get to. But you throughout this question in the pre show meeting and I'm curious to get your answer

because the whole point, you know, we had Lindsey Rhodes on a 320 of Sumer sports. Her whole point was there's just not a lot of known about the Browns, even on the defense. It's good as it was last year. Yeah. Miles Garrett swapped out for Jared verse who we've never seen in a different context than LA and certainly Mike Routenberg is a brand new play collar. So given the unknown, what would have a bigger impact on how you think of the Browns beating Jacksonville or losing bad? It's got to be beaten Jacksonville. I know week one everyone's going to be like, well, week one is weird and games get sloppy. But she beat a team in Jacksonville that won 13 games last year. And I think there's a lot of people that believe in that game thinking to themselves. Then all right, we should there's a lot of easier games on this schedule that we should win. But then you're in play for some of the harder games as well. All of a sudden then Tampa Bay and week two doesn't feel like you're a harkly and effort. Yeah. I think it's just drastically different between a loss that I think a lot of people could see coming. It's how you win is going to matter and how Jacksonville plays in this is going to matter.

But I think what's interesting is I'm in this spot of I've locked in a Jacksonville week one victory. And some of that is the unknown. Some of that is I think the Browns are I think people are acting as if all of those unknowns are going to come up bust week one. There's one unknown. I think that's going to potentially come up bust week one and it's to Sean Watson. Beyond that, I'm just genuinely excited to see everything else. But like I also think a lot of it is this Jacksonville's defense was so reliant on turnovers last year. And we've seen this the one Joe Woods defense that was good was frequent, a freakishly good at generating turnovers. Yeah. And we saw how quickly that regresses. I know some teams can keep it up. But by the way, the bear's defense is also really good. That last year was really good. And that always turns around. I I have to look up what Jacksonville's numbers with turnovers were. I thought that oddly enough, that was one of the things they had them, but they didn't have them at the rate where then it was such an absurd discrepancy.

Barnwell's always big on this. So like the idea that you like turnover turnover margin in general typically comes back down to earth. And that's not a thing. If you have an absurd one-sided turnover margin, that's going to hit you in the face in a pretty large way. I thought Jacksonville was immune to that relative to what they did last year. In fairness, nobody's going to look as off the charts as the bears do. Because the bear's, you compare anything to the bears and it's going to look silly. The bears has dominated that. But like I, I don't know, I think losing badly. Maybe it's because I think the browns are going to be good, but like Mike, I chip, I think that's an earlier today. And I think chip has been trying to keep me grounded, right? He keeps telling me how down he is in this browns team. And I get it. I understand that it's hard for people to compartmentalize their dislike, distrust, disinterest in Dishon Watson with how they feel about the rest of the team. We've talked about that a few times. I can do that. I think you can win in spite of Dishon in the short term. Eventually, I think you're going to have to get over to Shadour or Dylan or hell, anybody

dead. James Winston, if you want to trade for him, I know he just signed an extension. I'm just being facetious or hyperbolic. That's the one. But, um, yeah, I mean, I think them losing, you have a chip has them losing 34 to 10. I would, I would be shocked. I would be crestfallen. It would force me to, oh geez, I wouldn't be shocked. 34 to 10. It's a blowout, obviously, but yeah, I'm not going to leave the, I'm not going to leave the game being like, I can't believe that just happened. If, if you lose 34 to 10 and Dishon Watson starts week two, I riot. I mean, a 24 point difference is obviously not the expected. No one saying that I, I think this is going to happen. But would I, would I be more surprised by a 34 to 10 loss than I would a 34 to 10 win? No, not at all. You, you win the game 34 10 against Jacksonville. I will be gobsmacked. You lose the game 34 10. I'll turn around and say I guess a lot of people are right about Jacksonville and a lot of people are right about what they think about this browns team currently being. Two and six, four, seven, four, double, nine, two, which would surprise you more. 34 10 loss or 34 10 win? Probably the loss.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'd be really shocked if 5th Dishon dominated enough and the, and everyone was able to, to put up 34 against Jacksonville and then be able to do their part. It's not crazy to think that the defense couldn't hold Jacksonville to 10 points. That part of it's not a crazy. Well, and I, so you're right about the Dishon part of this. I guess why I said that the, that the loss would shock me more is, it's just week one is kind of bluefish that if you're ever going to beat this Jacksonville team 34 to 10, it would make sense that it's week one with all the unknown and having the full off season to go for it and Todd Munkin. I think I, I wouldn't be surprised if Todd Munkin looks at this as a chance to tell the rest of the NFL, you know, hey, it's time to trust and Todd. I imagine that's what he's trying to do. It's just whether or not he's got the talent to be able to pull that off again. I Jacksonville. That's a top eight scoring defense and scoring offense last year. They were going to both sides of the ball. They could do it in a million different ways. I, I don't know that this is going to be the ascension of Trevor Lawrence to some

people are projecting. It's a really good football team though. Yeah. And I think the thing with Trevor Lawrence is it feels like he's the, I, he's very similar to what people perceive about Baker, which is one great year and then a step back here. Now Baker stuff revolves around injuries as well. When even Baker, though, last year could be considered a step back year. But for the first after week six, he was the front runner for Wig MvP. But like with Trevor Lawrence, I look at him and think I don't know that I trust him to be good and great in consecutive seasons. And I know, I know, honestly, I probably should trust that more because I think Liam Cohen is a good coach. I think he's a really good coach. But I think the quarterback matters. Who plays, you know, like listen, I, that's why I want to put this because I want to make sure I give Trevor Lawrence the respect. I don't think a great coach can make up for a quarterback who's just an inconsistent human being on the field. I you can, you can help him. Sure. You can give him better situations to be in. But in the end, if you're an inconsistent quarterback, you're just an inconsistent quarterback.

Okay, but there also is that something we've already touched on a lot today. It feels like, but there is that environment conversation that exists for Trevor Lawrence in a way that I find interesting. They have a decent offensive line, but they have three different receivers in Parker, Washington, Brian Thomas and Jacobi Myers that, I mean, that's, that's a really, really good receiving room. Parker, Washington was incredible for the final five, six games last year. I think the problem is none of those guys have done it for a full year. I mean, Jacobi did, but I think it was about brain time. Brian Thomas that a good rookie year. Yeah, really good rookie year. I think that was like 12 or 1300 yards is rookie season. Like if you just say, like I do think, like, and I think Brenton strange a little underrated, I think they have four good pass catchers, but I don't think they have guys that elevate the quarterback. Well, and, and okay, so that would be a feather in Trevor Lawrence's cap then. Like if we're trying to figure out exactly what they are, you have us 1300 yards, 1282, his rookie season. He obviously dropped back a little bit last year, but like between the trio of it, if you're trying to take things away from Trevor Lawrence, a cut is accomplishments, you would go towards the environment argument that we've been discussing.

And you would say it is just the three of them that are uplifting Trevor Lawrence. Because really, we haven't seen Trevor Lawrence be this what he was last year without having that type of arsenal at his disposal. Beating Jacksonville or losing badly, which would impact our have a bigger impact on your thoughts on this Brown's team. And we're going to try and lock it in. See what JP and I can agree on it for the 2026 schedule in about five minutes on 92, 3, the fan.
