Hey gang, it's Jill Slesinger. I'm launching a new show. It's called Money Moves and we are going to move. We are going to answer your financial questions and take the mystery out of your financial life. Follow and listen wherever you get your podcasts. Nick and JP back on afternoon drive. Hope you enjoyed that weather alert. But we are live here from David Busters in West Lake. And I did notice one other thing here and we're working to get Trisha Whitaker as well on from Apple TV. One of the things that Keith wants us to talk about later in the roundtable. So we'll do it now. He used the no no no no. It's a there's a new wants to this. Yeah. In quote in parentheses rather he says keep it safe. I think I need a little more definition of that because my keep it safe and everyone else is keep it safe. I feel like I'm going to need some real clear lines of definition on this. I'm going to give the thumbs up so I get to tell the story with names with names. I assume Keith. I think it's just name people. Is that fine? Yeah. He says yeah. So like I think you get to do whatever you really want to do.

Well, yeah, but keep it safe. Like I listen. I think you and Lima your professional broadcasters. I ask and fell people expect you to make in your windows. Nick. Yeah. For you. They do. Yeah. Okay, but I need more definition. I don't think you understand. Once there's not a microphone in front of me. Not FCC compliant. I think you get to I mean, you know how blue I can get you know how when the microphones are off. Things just come out of my mouth. Yeah, I know. No, even when they're even when the microphones are on. Yeah, that's good. out of your mouth. So I think we're all kind of worried about it. You're definitely the biggest fear I would imagine on a stage like that. I like that. You know, I'm like that kind of gets the juices flowing. You're the wild card of the group. Oh, I mean, that's good brand. What's he going to say? I don't know. I guess you got to be here to find out. Is he going to say something that maybe he's got to text somebody later on to apologize for? Yeah, that's probably going to happen as well. Will he do it? I don't know. I don't know that he will or won't. But isn't that kind of the fun of it all? Like I'm fine. I'm not going to say anything that's that's awful. You know that I I'm going to sleep like a baby tonight. Will you? I don't know.

Oh, no, I the best part of being me is. I just speak my mind and then that helps me sleep at night. Okay. So we'll see how the round table goes in a bit. Can and I mean, you did text pedone about calling him a pedidler. All right, you're getting soft. Now you're in soft. What that was is I sensed that the pedidler didn't like it, but couldn't use his words to tell me. And I wanted to be literally the bigger person and let him know it sounded okay. It sounded like real growth. I thought you were I was egging him on to be like, tell me I sucked. I want him tell me I wasn't. Tell me I wasn't great. That moment and I'll correct it because anyone knows if I go too far, I am the first person to say, all right, you might have a point there. That's my bad, right? Yeah. No, yeah. So I'm your hand up. Your hand. I am I'm always to you know what? I'm always on on the old chest there tap and say that's on me. Don't I get that I get that. But if you're going to really shoot from the hip. I'm a hip shooter. And we don't have to worry about that. Do we? That's true. I don't know. We'll figure it out.

Anyways, I will see if we can get Trisha Whitaker here. I did have to text Nick Schuch today. Cleveland's very own. We're texting the other day. He's in the doghouse today. He is. Nick Schuch. Yeah. Oh, is it for the thing we're about to talk about? Yeah. Okay. Well, he's not even the guy that I have the biggest problem with. But he is part of it. He's part of the problem for sure. NFL.com had 10 analysts pick the Browns and Jags game. All selected the Jags. Now listen, the Jaguars are it was seven-and-a-half point favorite. Favorite week one. I wasn't surprised that there was unanimous decision. I had the Browns losing in every game. They also had Jacksonville covering in every single outcome. No, no, no, no, Kevin Pazra had a 23 17. Oh, so nine out of 10 then. Yeah. Yeah. Wait, let me do a check. Yep. Yep. Nine out of 10. Nine out of 10. Okay. The one I most offended by Kevin. What was it? Kevin Patra. Okay. Kevin Patra. I apologize. He's patronizing. But I'm, but in fairness, I don't know who Grant Gordon, Tom Große, Brandon Perna, Kevin Patra, Brooke.

Sir, so, but you know some of the names. You know, lands are wine. You know, Bucky Brooks. I know, I know, I know, you know, some of the guys who made some real respectful picks here. The disrespect Brandon Perna 48 to 10. Yeah. What, what, what kind of diabetic coma sugar fuse is he running on that? This isn't the coward. Do his podcast last night. And you know, coward's been very favorable on the Browns and then the Browns outcome this upcoming year. He thinks seven eight wins is something that could potentially happen. And he was, and the way he described, I thought he was taking us down this road of like, wouldn't it wouldn't it be like the, a realistic outcome if the Browns beat Jacksonville? Instead, he's like, doesn't seem realistic that the Jacksonville just beat the Browns 35 to 10. All right. When did these Jacksonville Jaguars become some team other than the Jacksonville Jaguars? I've known my entire adult life. When you win, when you win 13 games, and you have a top eight scoring defense and top eight scoring offense, I think the world, they tend to pay attention to you. Don't you have to prove it twice? Right? Like not against this Browns team. That's the difference against this Browns team. You don't have to prove it twice. I think you do.

Against the lower tiers of the NFL, you don't have to, hey, let's make sure this team is really good. It's like, no, even if they have a drop off from 13 wins last year and you're a 10, 11 win team, you still should handedly take care of the Browns. I just think anyone's sipping for Trevor Lawrence, you get what you get what you get. Like honestly, you get what you deserve. He was a good quarterback last year. Yes, good. That guy wasn't, you know, Johnny Unitis winning NFL titles year after year. He was top seven in a large majority of these physical categories. We carry on. I think we both know Trevor Lawrence is still just okay. They also have a bunch of different wide receivers, Jacopie Myers, Parker Washington, what did they say when you have a bunch of different wide receivers? You really don't even have one. Okay. Now I would worry about their running game. You're not a, you're not a bashed Tutonga. You lose Travis. I'm gonna, I'm gonna call him HN and so there's people in the car being like, that's not his name is name. He told us his name is Travis HN. It's not ETN anymore. So I have to do that thing where it's like, what do I call you? Yeah. I call you what's right or do I call you the thing that is going to make people not think

I'm an idiot. I'm not, I'm, I still don't know. But yeah, I think you just got to stick with one. I think losing him. Let's go on him now. I think losing him matters in this equation. He is him. But ultimately, yeah, like that's not the, the Jacksonville team's got a lot going for itself right now. I can't wait to their nine and eight. I did. I can't wait to their the 500est of 500 teams. And they're like the, the seventh or eighth team in the AFC and everyone goes, what happened to Jacksonville? They're the Jaguars. Like, listen, I get it. People thinks to show on stinks. I can't really refute it. I don't think that much of him either. All right. I, but there is 53 other guys on the roster, 52 other guys on the roster. Like, I mean, I think this is just a lot of Trevor Lawrence. Hey, which I understand up until last year, last year, he was really good, though. And it doesn't mean he's going to be good. 38. It doesn't mean he's going to be good this next year. 38 to 10. But it, you're, it's not as if you're asking to be 649ers. Yeah, they're not, they're not asking them to beat the 85 bears or asking to beat the 2026 pounds. If you say 23 to 13 lands

here, line, that's a, I get it. All right. That's, that's maybe, maybe that's a late touchdown to, to go ahead and cover if you're the Jacksonville Jaguars. Bucky Brooks, 23 to 14. Understand it. 39 Nick shook. I don't know what he's allowed to leave and Cleveland anymore. Did you text cookies and say, what's going on here? Oh, I sure did. And what did he say? I just wanted to make sure. Yeah, I hope he left you on red. No, no, he didn't. I said, is this from this year? And he said, this year, I just want to make sure I didn't want to make sure it wasn't from like 10 years ago. That's a funny one. And he said, yeah. And I was like, I, because he knew he wanted to end the convo right there. He's like, I, I'm not doing this convo with you. I said, I put what I put out there. We'll have to wait until week one before you yell at me or no. Yeah. Also, by the way, he, he's off Scott free because Brandon Perna, whoever the hell that guy is said 48 to 9, whatever. Furious. All right. You're sure. Out of the brown steel a week, a week one win. We'll get to that in a minute. But we're going to head out to the Y-Sharp right. We make it right. Call Kyle right. Hotline. Welcome on of Apple TV. Trisha Whitaker joining us right now. She's

going to be part of the coverage of the Guardians Tigers on Apple TV tomorrow night. Trisha, welcome to the show. Hi, so happy to be here. Are you guys doing? I won. We're doing great. It's great to have you house life. It's wonderful. I love coming to Cleveland, especially when they're in the wild card hunt. And people might not know the kind of bet on yourself move you made a couple years ago when you left kind of the daily grind of a specific team broadcast, but you were killing it. Your podcast is killing it. Obviously, you're killing it on Apple TV. So I feel like it's a little bit of a let down because we got to talk about a Guardians team that the last two days have not been great. What do you expect in tomorrow when you watch the Guardians and Tigers on Apple TV? Yeah, I mean, you know, I will say I think it's fortunate right now that they're going to play the Tigers because here's the thing. Like, no, the Guardians did not play great the last few days, but the Blue Jews are really, really hot right now. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is heating up. And so that I know that it wasn't great, but I don't know that that's like

necessarily foreshadowing of how they're going to play for the rest of September. But again, the Blue Jews are really good right now. The Tigers not so much. So I think they have an opportunity to go out tomorrow, play against the team that's struggling a little bit and gain some momentum in this double header. Because I do think that the Guardians can be a dangerous team here in September and heading into October. Yeah, what have you seen from the Guardians that maybe in the last couple of weeks is because we definitely see the different team. A lot of us have just said it's just because they're playing bad teams and that's what that is, but it seems like offensively there's some there's some firepower that didn't exist at least before the deadline in the moves. Yeah, absolutely. There has been some offensive power that did not exist before before the deadline. I think they've had some late inning magic too if I'm not mistaken and that's been really good. And I think that Jose Ramirez has come through in some high leverage moments

that game time go ahead, extra bass is hit. Well, game was that recently, but he had that in. He's been better recently. And I think what we're seeing too is a little bit of the young core continuing to spark things. And if they can get back to that, I know it hasn't been the case the last few days. I think they'll have a good showing against the Tigers. But I've seen a team that knows what's at stake right now and I've seen a team that really wants it down the stretch. All right, Trisha. The Guardians have a half game lead over Toronto for that last wildcard spot. I got to give my partner credit. He was right about this all year long. We've talked about this. And I'm like, Ah, the AL will run away with it. And all of a sudden you're going to have eight teams the AL and then it'll be the rest of the AL. No, I mean, they're still a sizable amount of the American League that is in this within an earshot of that last wildcard spot. The Guardians are 70 and 70 right now. How many wins do you think actually gets that final wildcard spot? Is it as simple as

first to 81? Oh, man, that's a really, really good question. And people have been asking me about this for the last like three weeks because we've had teams the last like months that are just like in it. Yeah, you know, I think I think it's probably the first team that gets to 81. I think you're right. But the thing about the wildcard scramble right now is it just doesn't really seem like any of these teams want to gain any sort of consistency. Which I mean, you could argue means that, you know, there are some weak teams in the AL or you could argue that this is going to be really exciting. And I think it can be both things, right? You're seeing some teams come to life who had a horrible, horrible start to the season like the Red Sox and the Blue Jays. And so, you know, I think you're right. I think the first team probably to get to 81. But if you're asking me kind of who, who I would be the scariest of in October, I'm at the end of September, I would definitely say the Red Sox. And I think the Guardians are right there with them because they've got some of that young spark to them. And

then obviously you got to look at the Blue Jays. But I think if I'm going to say who I think down the stretch could be the scariest for people, I do think it's the Red Sox and the Guardians at this point. Tell us what did happen to the Tigers. Obviously they trade school bull. That's one thing. But they got a plus 47 run differential. That doesn't add up to their record. That's a better run differential than the White Sox have. Yeah, you know what? That's a really, really good question. The wheels completely fell off, I think, for them due to a really tough offense. And one of the things we were talking about in our

production meeting was just a fatigued bullpen right now, right? And they've had some slumps from some of their stars. Riley Green missed some crucial weeks with that hamstring injury. So I think that that's probably what it was. And they had what was it in May, that brutal, brutal stretch. I mean, it was terrible. I can't remember what the record was in May, but it was really, really bad. And it's difficult to come back from that. And then you have the trade deadline when they get rid of scooble and then they get rid of Casey Meyers. That's going to affect the clubhouse. So I think it's a combination of all of those things I mentioned. And it's that's because I really like the Tigers. And I really like some of their young studs on that team. And you know, the scooble there obviously, they were a force to be reckoned with when he was on the mound. But you know, it's a combination of an anemic offense. The bullpen's really fatigued, the the trades of the deadline. I know they went on a little bit of a red hot three-gride after the deadline, but that simmered off. And when Riley Green was gone, they had a really rough record. I

can't remember what it was, but his absence definitely impacted them. Trisha, it's great to catch up with you. It's always enjoy Cleveland. It's probably going to be a little spicy. But again, great stuff. Appreciate it. Keep killing it. Yeah, you guys are we going to play tomorrow? The storms are rolling in right now and it looks like it's going to rain tomorrow. I don't like this. Ah, you know, it's better than a double header triple header Saturday. Come on now. Oh my god. I think it's going to be fun. I'm not a meteorologist. I think we're going to be fine. Honestly, I think in this day and age, I think if you just play a meteorologist, I think we're going to play too. That's my official prediction. We're both for both on what's play baseball. Yeah. Oh my god. Okay. Well, I hope you're right. I hope you guys are right. Thanks for having me. Appreciate you. Trisha Whitaker, their Apple TV on the Y-Shart Right. We make a right call. Kyle Wright hotline great stuff from her. We'll react to her thoughts in the guardos and get back to what the Browns can do to steal a dub week one as no one believes in them, but Nick on 92 through the fan. Back on

afternoon drive, Nick Wilson, Jonathan Peter Lynn, we continue to be out here at David Busters in West Lake. The I'm going to say the VIP section because I'm seeing a bunch of very important people have started to fill up here. We got a lot of people to work with us as well showing up here. I saw Darryl. He's disappeared. I think whack him. He set up a camera. And now he's a way to some of our stories. Can't say now if we have a camera. Oh, wait, are we are we videotaping the round table later? He set it up. I don't think he did it for us. I think he probably did it for the round table. Or should we go ahead and have to edit myself again. But you know, it's been funny. We've had a a day of gas who have been with this station. A bit a part of this station for a lot of the 15 years we've been on air. We had Pete Futech, college football news at 420. And now on the Y-Shart ride, we make it right. Kyle Wright hotline, one of the OG GANS of afternoon drive. A man who helps make every week special on this station on this show. Albert Breer the MM QB joining us.

What's up Albert? Yeah, shout out to Dustin Box. It was my initial connection. You know, my old classmate from Ohio State. So, and I did the audience. You know, this is by accident because I was a jerk and missed my this five here and earlier in the week because I was at middle school orientation for my kids. So, I apologize for that. I won. You never have to apologize. By the way, by the way, isn't David Buster who are that that big diner's player, broad girls? Is that right? I do not see Dejaun love out here, but I will tell you if it happens during the interview. I would say I was going to say I really respect the honor that you guys are paying to pay the days. I love that. Nick and Jonathan back out here. Live at David Buster's, we're going to go back out of the Y-Shart right. We make it right. Kyle Wright hotline. And welcome back, Albert Breer. Albert, welcome back to the show. How you doing?

I thought I could kick off the air or something. Might have said no, it was nothing. He's equal mine or something. I'm just saying. David Buster is kicking you off for the Dejaun love line. Yeah, well, I think they were still accepted business, right? You might not be able to get there right now, but he's still accepted it. Hey, in five to 10 years, he'll be out back at David Buster's in no time. All right. So, I was actually, we're actually going to start a little bit about the Rams here. I was saying about the Rams with Aaron Donald on retiring in the McDuffian Garrett trade. I was the only other teams I can think of that have this much pressure going on into the season where Tom Brady's first bucks team and then the the three pete attempt of the Kansas City Chiefs. You think of any other team in recent history that have had as much pressure as the Rams have going into the season? I mean, I think like the Rams themselves sort of had that going into 21. No, like, you know, you had, they've been all in for a few years and they make

the huge trade it for Stafford. And I don't think like people had a real idea of how good Stafford was at the time, but that was a risk, you know, and that you're moving off of a guy that you drafted first overall and a guy that led you to a Super Bowl and Jared Gough. You know, there was a first there was pressure on a lot of you, big loss brand and sale. They thought in Raheem Morris and really traded for Vaughn Miller in season. So that wasn't like at the same junctures all this, but I do think they have a little bit of experience that way and have to really think about that. You know, I guess like he's a look, go back a look at the Manning Broncos as like a team that not just we gambled big and then they finally went in his fourth year there. The Dream Team Eagles in 2011, in which I mean that was sort of the beginning of the end for Andy Reed, the failure of that team, but sort of the first brick in the wall at him getting fired. So we've seen it,

I mean, over the reds, going to the teams and Daniel Siders early years where they put together like, you know, the all-fro team from five years earlier when they had like Dianne and Bruce Scott and all those guys. So we've seen it. But yeah, I mean, I'd say like this is a really interesting scenario because I think the high potential of so many of these guys, I think one thing that's sort of interesting about the Rams too, because they have like some young players who are going into contract years as part of this too. I'm going to go and call return her by her job. All right, Albert, one of the big talking points all week long is how much time Dishon is going to get. We know he's the starter, but it seems like a lot of fans believe it's only going to be a couple weeks. I tend to think that the Browns will take this longer than fans think. They always like, it's got to be undeniable to them. That Dishon is not the version that he wasn't used to before they make a change. How many weeks do you see it before the Browns feel like they'd make a change in your estimation? Well, I mean, I think it depends on how well he plays, you know? I mean, if this is a train rack and like, now you're looking at like coming back into a call, adrenaline week three,

and it's going to affect your entire team. I think you have to talk about it then. If it's not, and like he continues to be the best option, I can't think of too many people to know that don't think he's the best option. Like people who have actually seen it, people who are in the Browns building, people who are coached against that in the summer. I can't find too many people that don't think Dishon is the best answer right now. You know, so if it's just average, it's just okay. I think that if it's good, obviously, it'll keep in there. So I still think a lot of it depends on how well he plays, how well the team's playing. I mean, like you look at the first two weeks, they're playing a transactional team that once they're team games a year, I think still going to be pretty good. And then they have, you know, Tampa who, you know, has made the playoffs, made the playoffs five years in a row before last year and had, you know, bigger back.

And you are pretty good. You know, I think Dishon is probably the right to keep the job for at least a little while longer. Albert, it's great to catch up with you, buddy. I again, want to say thank you for being such a big part of the fan over the last 15 years. And we'll catch up with you next week ahead of week one of the NFL Slate. Thank you, Albert. Yeah. So I hope you guys know I always appreciate that even though I could be kind of tough to get on. Sometimes like I, I really appreciate you guys, you know, giving me the forum. You know, I, one of my friends are there in Dorothy's, so I, I, I, I won't go high on general. And so it's always great to have the opportunity to come and talk to your audience there. And of course, the YouTube also. Well, we appreciate that, buddy. And take, take it easy. Okay. Albert Breer there, the MM QB on the Y-Shirt right, we make it right, call Kyle right, hotline, when we come back, we'll react to what Albert had to say. And we also have some pretty wild allegations coming out of the North Carolina football program in five minutes on 92, 3, the fan.
