Dan Quinn said that Jaden, if it was a normal practice today in London, he would be called limited, but said a lot of guys would be limited today. He'll have more information on who the starting quarterback will be on Friday. I think that it's either sit or start. Those are the two options for me. I don't see where it makes any sense that he's cleared to play and they use him as Marcus's backup Sunday against the Colts. If he's cleared to play and he's comfortable with the brace and he's practiced well this week, he starts. I'm asking you at 301230980 to explain to me if you disagree with me why it would make sense for him to be the backup quarterback Sunday against the Colts in London. Also any Austin Eccler ideas that you have, my answer would be, well because they think

he's Austin Eccler and he would be better than anybody they have in the running backroom if he's the Austin Eccler from 2024. Yeah, he's injury prone. Certainly has been the last few years. Start with Skip. Skip, go ahead. Kevin, the answer is it doesn't make any sense for him to be the backup quarterback. So it does skip the sound play. It does not. None. What's the way I'm going to be back with quarterback? My now, my main point is why does he have to play this week? Can we give him an extra week? Because healing is a good thing for the body. You know, I don't think I've heard any doctor dispute the fact that the more time he can have to heal the elbow, the better without getting hit or the chance of getting hit. Well, I think that's the point though.

I would not advocate for him to play on Sunday if they feel like more healing is necessary. But if the doctors say, look, the injury that he had was not a traumatic injury like the one against Seattle, there wasn't much damage other than it came out of the socket again. And by the way, he's more susceptible to that happening now that it's happened twice. But in terms of the health of the elbow, waiting isn't going to make it any healthier. If that's the answer, I mean, what are we waiting for? If healing, if there's benefit to healing another week before he comes back, then I'm all for that. I'm not suggesting that he play with an unhealed elbow. I'm suggesting that if he's medically clear to play football because they say there's really no benefit to him, you know, there's not going to be any additional benefit for him to wait a week or two, then he should play.

Well, a lot of this is on him. He has made the decision. I heard reported that he told his teammates that he cannot let them down. So he's putting a lot of pressure on himself to get back as soon as possible. And that's understandable. He's a football player. Okay. He's a dog. Okay. There's no question about that. His pain tolerance is high. But for his own good, I mean, the doctor you talked to said every time this happens, it gets worse and worse for him. So it becomes more vulnerable and more vulnerable to it happening again. That's what he said. He said that with each time there is the potential that the surgery could become more problematic, the recovery time could be longer. But he also said when he came on for the second time last week, he said the reason they're probably not opting for surgery now and that there's talk of him playing is look at the

difference in how he injured it against the cowboys and how he injured it against Seattle. This was not a traumatic injury. And perhaps there wasn't any worsening of the elbow. It just popped out, which they then just pop it back in. But often it comes with, I mean, we're getting into the whole doctor stuff and I don't know other than what we've been told. But here's the thing, Skip. And maybe this is Niavete, but I don't think that Dan Quinn and the organization are going to let Jaden back out onto the field if there is benefit to him waiting and having it healed. I think everybody understands that when he goes back out onto the field, brace or no brace, that the possibility of him doing it again is higher than it was. But they'll wait until after the season for him to get surgery on it because it may not happen again between now and the end of the season. They're in the middle of a football season.

So I'm not saying put him back out there if there's benefit to waiting. I'm saying put him back out there if there isn't any benefit to waiting. And back to the question here in the moment, if he's ready to play and they're ready to put him in as a backup, then he should start. So you and I agree on that. That's correct. And we won on Sunday. So that gave us even another game to rest them. But what if there's no benefit to resting him another game? That's my point. Okay. I see your point. Yeah. I mean, maybe by the way, there's the build up of what Quinn called the calluses and you don't get those when you don't play in the summer and you don't play in preseason games. I want him to get some of the, I don't want him to get injured again, but I want him to get back into the routine of playing football regularly because it's been forever.

It's been since 2024 where he's been a regular participant in the team's football games. And so if we're going to sit because, hey, man, it just, it'll make sense. It'll kind of look better, the optics of him resting more rather than bringing him back right away. I don't want that if he's ready to go now. He's ready to go now and there's no real incremental benefit to waiting. He starts. He's not a backer. He feels the same way you do. Yeah. That's for sure. But I wouldn't be the decision maker and he wouldn't be the decision maker in my organization. The medical people would be the decision makers on things like that. They'd give us all the information and then we would decide based on that information and we don't have enough of that information at this point. But thank you, Skip. Let's go to Rob and Frederick. Do you think there's any benefit at all to Jaden being the backup quarterback Sunday in London? Kevin, I think part of this is the NFL wants them to be, keep him active and saying that

he might play just to keep the fans in London interested until that decision's made. That's what I think. And the second, second thing on the Eccler thing, he's a good blocker, isn't he? Say that Eccler said he's good at everything. He's a high IQ. Yes, everything. But so is Rashad White. Yeah. Okay. Well, you know, I know and he was nicked up. No, right? Yes, correct. But by the way, they signed him, they committed to signing him before the game on Sunday. So they were bringing him in before Rashad White got banged up in the game. Okay. Well, that was the only thing I brought about yet. That's what I think at this whole thing. I personally don't think they're going to put him out there. I just think they're going to take him along and say he might start just to keep the fan interest over there up. That's what my theory is. Yeah. You know, theories or theories. Yeah. No, you're entitled to it. I don't agree with that necessarily. I don't look. I know and I did read that I guess they've slashed some ticket prices over there.

You can basically get in for a lot less. The stadium's not sold out. The Tottenham Stadium hold 62,000. There appears to be somewhere around two to 3,000 seats available. But I don't think that that's, I think this is Quinn. I mean, we've dealt with this with Quinn before. You know, we'll tell you on Friday and he's, you know, doing what most coaches do, which is if, you know, whether he's going to play or isn't going to play, he's going to try to create a competitive advantage by making Indianapolis prepare for both this week leading up to a decision that'll be made on Friday. That's what I think this is about. I also, again, let me just be clear, based on the answer and we'll play it again here in a few minutes because he was asked directly about whether or not Mario to will start Sunday or Jaden will start. I, my hunch right now is that Mario is going to be the starting quarterback and that they're going to, there is going to be some benefit to him sitting for one more week.

Let's go to Anthony, Anthony and DC go ahead. So what, where did this question come from? Because to me, it's either or he plays or he sits. So I don't understand where this question even emanated from. Yeah. For me, basically, because people have suggested one of the, I think some, one of the questions didn't they, that we played, didn't they ask whether or not it was possible Jaden could be a backup, I forget. But I think there are some people that believe, hey man, don't start him, but you know, have him ready if, if Marcus isn't playing well or if Marcus gets hurt rather than having the rookie back him up. I, I don't think that there's any benefit. If he's clear to play football, he's your starting quarterback. He starts in my view. It's either a sit or start scenario. Yeah, same here. I mean, it's either or he sits or he plays one of the two.

Yeah, that's, he sits or starts. That's a no brain. Yeah. Yeah, that's, that's a no brainer. Right. I agree. As far as Eclah goes, if he's 24, Eclah, hell, yeah, get him out on the field. I mean, they might need to put him in one of those concussion helmet. Thanks. Yeah, I was going to, I was going to call it the great kazoo helmet. You're really dating yourself. Oh my God, that's funny. Yeah. Well, you know, there's life. Yeah, I mean, if he can, if he can perform like that, hell, yeah, put him out there. I mean, he doesn't have the breaker way that Bill has, but you know, he's shifty. He can definitely beat linebackers and coverage. So yeah, no doubt. All right. Thanks, Anthony. And no mistakes. Steve, we have to get a win tonight to keep their season alive. Steve and Columbia, any, does it make sense at all for Jaden to be the backup on Sunday?

Yeah, you don't know. It doesn't make any sense for him to be the backup, but with my medical background, he does not need to play probably until the giant or 49ers game period. Okay, tell me what you're thinking. Background is now I'm just being a being sarcastic. But yeah, he doesn't need to play man based on what is happening, the type of injury it is in my opinion. And as far as Eclah's concerned, he has more experience than those backs, but athletically, I don't think he is anywhere near what he used to be compared to those younger guys. I just don't believe that because other teams would have signed him. Yeah, I mean, I, I think that he was just cleared recently and there were teams interested. Carolina reportedly, I think Ben had was interested in bringing him on to their practice squad. But yeah, I mean, look, Austin Ecler is, you know, 31 years old at this point. And he was available in free agency, not for a massive deal necessarily.

And he's had nothing, but injuries going back to the last two seasons here, the concussions in 24. And then obviously the Achilles last year. But he's, if he is what he was and they believe he can be what he was in 24 or even early last season before the injury, what we, did he get hurt in the green Bay game, Max, what game did he get hurt in? It was the green Bay game. He took that negative step and then boom. Yeah. Yeah, because he had a decent game in the opener against the Giants. You know, it's six carries had three catches, you know, totaling 57 yards total on nine touches. If they think that that's the player that he can be, then in my opinion, the reason they're bringing him in because he's better, you know, he's as good or better than anybody else you have. Thank you, Steve. If anybody else want to weigh in, Shane, Willie Scott, stay on hold, 3012, 30980, if you

want to weigh in, we've got an open line. The question is, does it make any sense at all for Jaden Daniels to be the backup quarterback Sunday in London against the Colts? Kevin Chian show the team 980 and the team 980.com. And then just with Echlor, you know, it hasn't been on the practice field fully just yet, but what gave you confidence that he was able to come back from that kind of injury and still be as effective as he was? Yeah, certainly the inside or knowledge helps on this one. You know who the competitor is, you know, what he's made of. And so that definitely is a big factor. Knowing him, he was going to go through every step of the rehab to get into that space. So we thought, you know, the time where it would be and then seeing the video of him, what it looked like. This was the right time for us. So as far as readiness for the game, I don't know that yet. And I think it's too early to call. So we're not in a rush to do that. So we're going to find, you know, the best space for him to do that. But we are definitely pumped these back.

Dan Quinn on Austin Echlor just a moment ago, he held his first press conference in London as the two teams there get ready for a game. I mentioned it earlier and somebody sent me a link to the story. So Tottenham, which is where they play on Sunday, Tottenham, Hotspur, holds 62,000, Wembley holds 86,000. And next week, by the way, the Eagles and Jacksonville play in the same stadium that the Colts and Schins are playing in this week, it's already sold out for Eagles, Jacksonville next week. Washington Indie game is right now officially 2000 seats short of a sellout. So they've slashed the prices on certain tickets. Who cares? I mean, from our standpoint. But yeah, Washington's trip to Madrid last year was a very successful one.

That was the first game ever in Spain. And that game was sold out, you know, almost minutes after the tickets went on sale. London has seen a lot of NFL football over the last 15 years. Let's go to Shane in Calvert County. Question is, does it make any sense for Jaden Daniels to be the backup quarterback on Sunday against the Colts? I personally don't think it does. If he's clear to play football, he starts. So for me, it's he's an out and ruled out on Friday or he's ruled in and he starts the game Sunday. Shane, what do you think? I think we should start with Marcus. I feel like Marcus deserves it after his performance last week. And you know, if things start to go south, then we bring in Jaden. And the problem is, if we start Jaden, he plays a full game. We lose. What do you think the conversation is going to be Monday? You know, it's all going to be he shouldn't have played.

He wasn't ready. It's neglect. It's going to be a bunch of finger pointing. And again, I think Marcus is on fire right now, so we should give him a chance. Well to that point, you're 100% right. If Jaden started and didn't play well, and they lost the game to Indianapolis with Marcus Mario to over on the sideline, that would be the conversation. But I got to tell you, it just wouldn't be, I don't think, intelligent conversation. It would be very emotional and reactionary conversation. And at the same time, you know, no one's going to know if Jaden doesn't play and Mario to play poorly and they lose, that they should have started Jaden because they can say he wasn't ready yet. Now he's ready to face the giants. So if you're going to take the path of least resistance or the least risky in terms of fan reaction, media reaction, then you probably sit him. But I hope that they're not making decisions based on that because if he's cleared and

healthy and ready to go, he gives the team the best chance to win on Sunday by playing quarterback. There's no one in that building thinks that he doesn't. Now if you put him out there compromised, it's different, but I'm assuming that they're not going to do that. But you're not wrong. If he starts and plays and doesn't play well in the team loses for whatever reason, there's going to be a lot of second guessing about, hey, you should have waited another week. You should have played Marcus Mario to, but I want to make sure I'm clear on something, Shane. And that is you'd start Mario to, but you'd have Jaden as the backup. Hello? Yes, sir. Can you hear me? Yeah. Yes, sir. Can you hear me? Yeah. So you have, you'd have him as a backup. Yes, sir. Yeah. Okay. See, I think if you got him as a backup, ironically, you're open to some level of, you

know, criticism. If Mario doesn't play well, and then Jaden comes in and, you know, it's too late when he comes in and he plays like, if you want to steer clear of any potential criticism next week and you're the coaching staff and you're the organization, you start Mario to, and you say, Jaden needs another week for the elbow to heal, at least another week. Then you're safe. You're safe, but I don't think you should coach that way. I don't think you should worry about what Shane and Kevin she and think personally. All right. Thanks. Let's go to Willie and Gay Thursberg. Willie, any sense do you think in making Jaden the backup on Sunday? What's going on, Kevin? Good afternoon. Good afternoon. Good morning, good afternoon. I'm one of those callers now just like the last one that feels. And my reasoning is again for that same reason that he mentioned, not because of the, you

know, the fan base, but more and so because of him, you know, maybe still fragile again. I know that you saying that that's not us, that's not our decision to make, but the, the doctors obviously, but I feel that, you know, when you are, when you have the hot hand in the team, you know, they let that hot hand ride. And if it's beneficial, that you're not going to allow, that I think the benefit is where you don't put Daniels in a risk, a injury potential situation again. And therefore, so what are you saying? You don't want him to play because you're concerned about his health, but you do want him to be the backup on Sunday because Mario has got the hot hand. If that, if the case is that he is still clear and they're going to think about putting him as the backup, I'm okay with that because it's, you know, it's like, I see it this way, Kevin, just real quick. And I'm done. It's like playing, I know it's a different sports for a different, you know, situation,

but let's say, you know, you have Mario just thinking it out, you know what I mean? Then you got Daniels come in and see if we can save the game for us just because, you know, he is a better quarterback. But, well, you just said you just, you just, you just answered the question. If he's healthy and he's cleared enough to, to be able to be the backup, he is the better quarterback. He's the much better quarterback, by the way. And so he should, he should start. I feel like he does, he's still learning how to protect himself and I think Mario is better. That's it. Okay. All right. Thanks, Willie. Again, you didn't convince me with that one. If he's cleared and there's no benefit to waiting, he starts for me because these games are precious, man, they're only 17 of them. You know, you've got, you can't say, oh, we won last week. So we can kind of afford to lose this game and have him rest a little bit more. If they don't think there's benefit to him resting, you got to start him because he's

your best quarterback. He's your starting quarterback and winning this game is important. This is a big game. Two and two is much better than one and three. Willie in Gathersburg, go ahead. Scott in Maryland. Willie is no longer there. Scott in Maryland. Does it make sense at all? I don't think it does, but some do. Does it make sense at all for Jayden to be the backup Sunday? Good morning, Kevin. I don't think it makes sense to make him the backup. In fact, I guess I was surprised that he even made it to the trip to London. I thought maybe depending on his rehab and stuff, whatever they're doing, I'm not a doctor, but I know if you fly on an airplane, sometimes again, exacerbate certain things like thrombotic, thrombosis type things. So I'm surprised he's even going in London. I guess it's just for the competitive edge thing with keeping him there to keep the

cold honest. But I also wanted to mention, I told your producer, I think Eglier got signed because something might be going on with Jeremy McDickel that his recovery time might be extended somehow. We just aren't aware of that. Maybe that's why they signed Eglier. Yeah, I actually forgot about Jeremy McDickels. It's a good call because he was injured. He was not on the 53 man roster and they like him a lot because they really like him on special teams and they actually like him in the backfield as well. So that may be part of it, but remember, if you bring Eglier on to the 53, somebody's got to go down. You're not going to keep four running backs up on game day. So is it K-Tron Allen? It might be. Yeah, I don't know. I'm hoping and you heard what Quinn said that they saw the workouts, they know the guy and they think he can actually really upgrade the overall running backroom because it's

not the strongest room on the team by a long shot. But anyways, back to the question. So you would say you would score somebody like that, put them on the practice squad or something. Yeah. So, but the question, does it make sense for Jaden to be a backup? You think not, correct? Oh, absolutely not. Let them stay in this regular clothes and I guess enjoy some fish and chips or something. Yeah, thanks for the call. I do, you know, in listening to Quinn, let's play that, the question that you played coming into the segment that started this, what was it? The question where he's asked about whether or not he'll start. Play that again. Max. Hi coach, Ken McGuire from AP. Since Jaden is here, what do you foresee a foreseeable timeline for him to return to play? Just for total clarity, is Marcus definitely the starter on Sunday?

Yeah, so as we're getting started for this week, today is, it's a little bit limited. So we're going to call it like a jog through for us and so he would be limited in that spot. But as we're working through the week, he'll get more reps as we're going to go. So it's part of our return to play process where guys, individual, that's kind of a limited portion, then some of the team reps and then more. So as we get into Thursday and Friday, we'll see what that load looks like and then by Friday, we'll have a definite determination to where we're at. But until then, we'll work and start the process, but it'd be too early to call it. He's not really that, he's in a shot to play on Sunday, Jaden. Yep. Okay, so look, part of me thinks why bring him over there if you're not thinking there's a pretty good chance he's going to play and be the starter. Again, I don't think it makes any sense for him to be cleared and be the backup. I don't. It's not like he's been out for six weeks and there's a rust risk and Marcus has been

playing for six weeks. It's different. It's one game that he has missed. One and a half games if you go back to Dallas in week two. I also think that there is certainly a competitive game being played where he wants Indy to consider both quarterbacks as potential starters. He's not going to tell you for sure until he feels like he has to, which is usually on Friday. It's based on, you got on Friday, rule players in or out. It doesn't mean that things couldn't change on Saturday or even in pre-game warmups going into the game. I do think we'll have a firm answer on Friday. I think it's a coin flip for me. Earlier when I heard that, I thought my hunch was Mario is going to play. Then when you factor in the idea that they brought him over on a long flight and he's

practicing, they probably felt like if they're going to bring him, there's a chance he's going to start. So, this week perhaps does have to play out. They have to see what it looks like in practice tomorrow and Friday more so than today because he said today was more of a jog through. Stevie Ray and Baltimore go ahead. Hey Kevin, good morning. Good morning, buddy. Okay, so this is what I'm Stevie Ray and this is what I say. I say I wanted to play me personally because I enjoy watching the guy play. I think if you put a brace on him, I think he's going to be fine. I watched him in practices. His arms moving around. His left arm seems to be doing fine. Let's get him in there. Let's go. Let's get this show on the road and let's find out what we got because what we do know is we're not going anywhere with Marcus Mario. It's not going to get there.

Let's find out what we have and let's play with the starters that we should have in there. Let's get this team playing like what we thought we were going to get with the season started. That's my opinion. I want to see this come with you. I think it's a bit harsh to say you're not going anywhere with Marcus Mario. I agree with you. If he's got to start the next at this point, 14 games, you're probably not going to get the best out of what you could have had this season. I think anybody would say that. He is a high quality backup quarterback in the NFL. This is a good situation. They did a good job bringing him back because think about this. It could have been, it could have been somebody much worse starting the game, somebody without experience, somebody that's been more of a journeyman and hasn't been a starter. I give them all the credit in the world for signing Mario to before 24, bringing him back

in 25. He obviously likes it here and he talks very highly of Dan Quinn. Can I ask you one question? But I'm with you. I want to see Jayden play. Yeah, I'm sorry. Can I ask one question before I let you go? Sure. Are you letting me go? It has to do with the 12th man on the field for the kickoff. Yeah. Okay, real simple. You had said I heard you because I listened to you all the time. You said that the guy holding which was way gets to walk off the field. I mean, what is actually the rule? I mean, does he just? No, he's got to leave the field. He's got to just try to. Yeah, he's got to leave the field and jog off the field. So jog off? I mean, is it safe? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know how to feel. I mean, I can read the rule. 12th man holder on kickoff's rule. He's allowed to hold and then he's got to get off the field. So here's all I'm saying is is that if he takes his time, he might get in the way of somebody.

Yeah, but that would be a penalty. I think that would be a penalty. I think so. Yes. You can't play 12 on 11. You can't be 12 on 11. Obviously. So he's got to get off the field before, you know, I don't know. I'll find the rule and read it specifically to see what the, you know, the exit from the field has to look like. But no, he can't. Oh, he stumbled. He fell. He's, you know, and here comes the return and now he's jogging off in the general direction of the returner. I think that that, I don't know what would happen there. Yeah. I'll find it. I don't have it in front of me. But thanks for the call. Neil, Neil and Baltimore go ahead. What's up, Kevin? Thank you for taking my call. Sure. It's real simple. He sits. I don't need to see him. It's so early on in the season is, is reminding me of RG3 and Kirk cousins.

We'll be the purpose of us having Kirk cousins. The player always wants to play the organization. The coach got to make the decision and keep him safe. You're praying them. We got, we have a backup quarterback. My other question or I'm thinking is, is Austin Eckler, is, wasn't he like a backup quarterback or a contingency plan quarterback at one time? I'm glad we bored him back. Has Austin had been a contingency quarterback? I don't know. I honestly don't know. It's a good question, but I don't think that's why you signed him last Saturday to be an emergency person. No, no, no, no, he signed him so he can catch that ball. You signed him so he can catch that ball and do the things that we need out the back. So he's a great player, great player. It just seems though he does get injury-ponged and he gets phased out longer in the season, but we need him and I will take him on that team. They'll tell the rest, yes, HGTRC, let's go command us.

Thanks. I'm looking through, I really want to find what the actual rule is for the holder. Now, I thought there was going to be a vote this week. Apparently, special teams coaches hate this and they don't want it allowed. If somebody's going to hold, it's got to be one of the 11 players on the field. It can't be a 12th player, but I'll find that rule somewhere to read it. It's interesting to me. It doesn't look like Eccler has been an emergency quarterback, at least based on my initial search. We've got some NFL buy and sell coming up and you'll hear more of what Quinn said today and today is quarter back day. So we're expecting Marcus Marriota to take the podium after they practice. Kevin Chiencho, the team 980 and the team 980.com. All right, before we get to NFL buy and sell, I do have the rule in the rule book.

Now, what we're talking about here is what we saw Sunday with our team and what we've seen around the league. It started with Philadelphia a few weeks back. There is a rule in the rule book that allows for a 12th man to be on the field on kickoffs to hold for the kicker. 1-8-t or not on a tee. You can do it either way. The reason they're using this 12th player as a holder is not because of windy conditions where the ball's falling off the tee. It's because you're allowed to and kickers believe that a holder can hold it in a spot that the tee can't, that leads to the ability to kick a ball that they call a dirty kick where it's end over end, squib kick, landing in that just beyond the landing zone beginning

of the 20 yard line and it makes it harder for returners to get a handle on and to pick up. So we've seen that. Now, apparently special teams coaches do not like it and there could be a vote as early as this week to outlaw that rule. If you need a holder, it would have to come from one of the other 10 players on the field. As it's always had to do in previous years with the old kickoff rules. Now, the rule with respect to the holder, so the, hold on, I had a second ago, the uniform teammate may be the 12th person visible, but the rule labels him a non-player. So the 12th person on the field, Tressway was the 12th player on the field, is ruled as a non-player and once the ball is kicked, that 12th uniformed person deemed to be a non-player

can kneel at the tee, touch only the ball and must depart as soon as the kick is away with tee and hand to his sideline. There's no other description of what the penalty would be if he didn't exit. I guess it could be ruled 12 men on the field, but I was hoping to see in the rule book, if that player doesn't get to the sideline and 12 people are visible on the return, some sort of unsportsman-like conduct, penalty. It's not in the rule book that way. There you go. All right, NFL buy and sell. What are you buying? What are you selling after three weeks in the NFL? I'm going to start with the Las Vegas Raiders. I am buying the Raiders. I bought them before the season began.

I did. They were one of my future's bets over five and a half wins. I've seen a little bit of these games and they are impressive. One of the reasons I liked the Raiders more than five and a half games to begin the season, it of course was partly contingent on me understanding that cousins and kubiak together has worked and would potentially work in Vegas. What's been really impressive has been their offensive line. Kirk is in the mobile quarterback. He's not mobile anymore, although he did run a little bit on Sunday. He can move and he can move in the pocket, but you've got to keep him upright. If you give him time, he will carve you up because there isn't a quarterback in the game that is better, many are as good, but there isn't any better at identifying what the defense is trying to do, getting through his progressions and then throwing the ball accurately to the

right spot. But you got to keep him clean. You got to keep the pocket clean. I'm telling you, this Tyler Lindermom, he is an absolute stud offensive lineman. I would have paid him the money. I don't know that he was interested in coming here, but if there was any interest in coming here, I think I would have paid him whatever it took. You can talk about the center position, not being the most important on the offensive line with respect to physical stature and blocking. It's important in other ways, the mental aspects of the game, but he would have been your best or second best interior offensive lineman with Cosmie. I would have just paid him on the basis of he's a great offensive lineman in addition to being a center. Their offensive line is doing a great job and Brock Bowers, it's really interesting to watch. I don't know how much of the game or highlights you saw of Brock Bowers first game of the

season. He had some meniscus cleanup, which is why he missed the first two. He caught 10 balls for 116 yards in the first game on Sunday in New Orleans. Here's the thing about Brock Bowers. He's a wide receiver. He's listed as a tight end, but they've got him split out as a wide receiver half the time minimum. This is a six foot four inch, 235 pound dude who can run and get separation. This is Jordan Reed. This is Kelsey at his best. He's more receiver than he is tight end. They have a pure tight end in Michael mayor, but he is an absolute match up nightmare for anybody. They've got two good backs and genty and the rookie from Arkansas, Mike Washington, Jr. Their defense gives up some stuff, but they make plays.

They lead the league in takeaways. Nikobe Dean, by the way, former eagle, having an unbelievable start to the season. Max Crosby's been on a snap count. Not playing as much of the snaps as he would have before coming off the injury, but he's been dominant. I think they're well coached and the key is cousins staying upright and healthy, and them keeping him protected. Now, they're scheduled. They get the chiefs this week. They get the Patriots, bills, rams, those are the next four games. That's a little bit different than starting with the dolphins, the falling apart chargers, although the Saints were playing well and they went on the road and beat the Saints in their home opener. But I am absolute buying that my over five and a half is going to cash and is going to cash pretty quickly and that the Raiders can actually be an AFC playoff contending team. It's not going to be with Mendoza or rookie quarterback.

They're going to ride this out with Kirk and unless the season gets away from them, which I don't anticipate it doing, he's probably going to play the whole season if he's healthy. Now the season could get away from them because they give up too much on defense or they get injured and they offensive line falls apart and he starts getting harassed and there's problems there. But he's been top three in the league against the blitz this year. He's always been phenomenal against the blitz. I'm buying the Raiders to be a playoff contending team when we get to December and January in the AFC. They're going to have big, important games late in the season, which your first buy, Max. You bought a three and O team. I am buying an O and three team. I am buying the Texans. Yes. I'm going to buy the Houston Texans. They've been here before, Kevin. It's bound to change. They're used to this. I think they can do it. I trust the talent on the roster. Give me some Texas. They're rowing three last year, correct? I believe so. I know they were rowing two.

I don't know about O and three. Last year they were O and three. They made the playoffs. Yep. In 2024, they were, no, they had a good start. Last year they were O and three. And by the end of the year, I don't think I was alone in saying that I thought that they had a legit chance to go to the Super Bowl. They lost three games, very competitive close games to the Rams, Bucks, and Jacksonville last year. And then they ended up winning 12 games. So they won 12 of their next 14. And by the way, the losses were very close losses. So they were a really good football team. And now you've had this season start with them losing to Buffalo in that first Sunday night game of the year. Right? It was a Sunday night game since an addy and then Indy on the road. And now they've got Dallas, Tennessee, Jacksonville, the next three.

Yeah, I'm with you on that. I don't see Houston going away. I don't see them going away. But you know what, Max? Jacksonville's the best team in that division. It's going to be a tight race, Kev. It's going to be really tight coming down the stretch for the, the AFC South. They played Jacksonville first time. They play him October 18th. So they go Dallas, Tennessee. They really have to win the next two. They have to win the next two so that that game against Jacksonville, you know, it's at home. They can get right back into the race at three and three with a win over Jacksonville head to head. I love that team too. I do love that team. Michael Anderson's off to a phenomenal start defensively. All right. You bought the O and three team. I bought the three and O team. By the way, the O and three team is the team everybody believes in. The three and O team is a big mystery. We've got more buys. We've got more sells.
