Well, they're going to take on the Kings and Sacktown. Like the beam. I think the Lakers can win it. The Clippers are in Hawaii for training camp and Carlos going off on TikTok. Oh, he's doing his, oh, I, his Hawaiian vlog. You could not believe the TikToking going on. And the return on Saturday or the Clippers is when they take on the Raptors, a game that

Dodgers had a two time saw you on the award winner on the mound. Against an opener who had been out of baseball for two years. Blake's now two time saw young winner on the mound against an opener.

17:32Walt Weiss who apparently is the baddest of bad asses when it comes to managers. He's like a super skilled jujitsu guy that will f you up and choke you out. Seriously, surgically small package. I didn't know about that. I did not either, but I learned that no one told us when we were talking about the braves and the Dodgers. I was just thinking like, I mean, why wouldn't people want the Dodgers to take on Philly and dumbass Don Mattingley and this guy Walt Weiss as a brainiac exactly and a bad ass. And he's got the great rat face Gary gay, I he style. He will f you up. If you're not careful, um, they decided to go with a bullpen game. They wanted to give Chris sale full rest. That means he will not be able to pitch in game five. Full sale. And they were like, we're good with that. There won't be a game five. We're going to win this thing in the next three. We'll win it at home. We'll get the split with a bullpen game. You have to take advantage of your opportunities and the Dodgers couldn't like smell.

18:36Taxed as bullpen. Thankfully a day off today. So it's not as big of as an impact. And I know Dave, I say would not agree with this and might not like it. He might not. And this is not necessarily a straight attack on Blake's now. That's just the style of pitching. It's annoying. It's not entertaining. He waste too many freaking pitches. It's there's way too many balls that are so far out of the zone. A hitter is never going to chase it. And it's been that way his entire career. Is Earl Hercizer shared with us earlier? Not only does he have one of the highest strikeout rates in all of baseball. But and he gets a lot of swing and miss. He has the highest walk rate in major league baseball since he came into the league. At some point when you're in the postseason like he did last year when he was mowing down Cincinnati Reds and pitching seven and he's strong. Recognize that 25 pitches, 27 pitches in the first inning is not good for your team.

19:39It didn't seem like it helped the Dodgers. No, it's not good for a playoff series. Stop your nibbling. Start eating. Trust your defense and freaking pitch instead of getting guys to chase. He got run in the fourth inning after 90 pitches. Three and two thirds on 90 pitches to put that in perspective. The two time saw young award winner who pitched game one gave him six innings on 94 pitches. One line up of braves, two and a third more innings on four more pitches. Same amount of runs one. Not a good outing for snow and now unfairly I might point out and that broadcast booth is going to change because they're going on the road and someone is not going to be happy about putting Yamamoto in a real tight spot against Chris sale. Yamamoto's in tight spot. There is a play by play guy who's going to be taking over for Charlie because he doesn't

20:40travel. Right. Who does not like it when Yamamoto is not treated well by his teammates as far as offensive support goes. Whoever dealt those cards dealt him a crappy at 72 off suit for the poker conversation we have with the world earlier. That's what Yamamoto just got dealt. Okay. Pocket checks. Chris sale just threw a complete game shut out against the Dodgers a month ago. Yamamoto took that loss in that game against sale. He threw seven allowed just a single run. That is what you would call a hard luck loser. Now the Dodgers in the past have gotten to sale. He is pitched against them seven times. He has a two and three record and a four three OERA. So of course every year is different. His teams are different. This year's Dodgers team and they had nothing going on that 27th of August when he threw the five hitter zero walk 11 strike out complete game in 109 pitches. He did face them on May 8th and it was the one game of the six that they did beat Atlanta.

21:40He went seven innings five hits three runs two of them earned zero walk seven strike outs and Emmett she and took him down. I can only hope this Dodger team supports Yamamoto like they supported Emmett she and that day. Now, you know, I mean, I think they want to. Yeah. You don't think it's like intentional like we're really in a saboteur. But it does feel like Stephen Nelson feels like it's intentional. Certainly. He does take Umbridge when Yamamoto doesn't get the support that he deserves. Game four and we will be out at September's tap room in eatery for game four. That is going to be a battle of the Tyler's glass. Now versus Mally couple of doors. Matt kind of Mally was with the giants until the deadline. He faced the Dodgers when he was a giant in April and he shut them down. Shut out over seven innings three hits 11 ground balls zero runs a three nothing win.

22:45For San Francisco over LA. He just went seven allowed a single run to the Phillies in the wild card round. He will be on six days rest. So yeah pitching matchups that aren't necessarily decidedly in the Dodger favor and they're going to be on the road. Are you saying you're going to be out there at September's on Wednesday mat and the Dodgers balls are going to be right on Occam's razor that it could be. It could be an elimination game for the Dodgers one way or the other. If that is the simplest path to elimination. Yes. The razor will slice the balls. This again, this was their opportunity. You have got two aces going against two bullpen game. That's now coming gone. It is coming gone. And now the Dodgers going to have to regatta their sack off of Occam's razor. You know why? A live guy happy 83rd of the great Steve Miller born in Milwaukee and basically born for this. His father was a doctor, but he loved jazz nonstop in the house on the turntable. Jazz always playing Steve and his dad. Whoop, whoop. Bonded over it. I was going to play the song space cowboy actually, not the Joker there. Okay, so I figured I'd play something. Yeah, I mean, I'm just saying, you know, people don't realize that he was a big jazz and blues musician. Les Paul was his dad's best friend. I tell somebody to play space cowboy by Steve Miller. They're going to play a joke on a smoker, man. They're going to play the midnight talker. Les Paul was his godfather.

35:20Les Paul is the man who taught him how to play guitar. And it was sad because when Steve was seven, the family left Milwaukee and Les Paul and arrived in Dallas and they're like, oh, well, that's a bummer. What Steve going to do now? Oh, this is T-bone Walker. He's going to come over to the house and hang out and teach young Steve how to play music. So those were the two people who taught him how to play music when he was a child by 12. Had his first band, the marksman. Who did he start the marksman with? Just his bass pal, boss, bags. They decided to go to the university Wisconsin together. I have to get out and move the Chicago because he loved the blues. Look, pickles got to go. Hey, it really does. And while he was in Chicago, he immediately fell in with muddy waters and buddy guy. And that was the foundation of what Steve Miller was going to be when it came to his own music. Raw, gritty Chicago blues. A hippie, though, where his siren song he couldn't resist. Wanted to be part of the San Francisco psychedelic explosion.

36:22So he moved there in 66. He ended up out here. For him to Steve Miller blues band, they would drop the word blues and become the Steve Miller band. They played the famous Monterey pop festival in 67 became the it band coming out. Huge bidding war. Capital landed them with one of the biggest deals ever offered at the time to an unsigned act. Was worth 400 times what they paid him. That's right. His first five records though. No hits. This was one of them space cowboy. What a shock that it wasn't ahead. But they stuck with him through five releases until the Joker came out in 1973. Only they had done that for Mrs. Miller. Right. Went to number one. One of the biggest songs of the year. Only hit on the record. He did find his sound though. Follow up fly like an eagle had rocking me. Take the money and run next album. Book a dream. Swing town. Jet airliner. Jungle love. And then in 19. Think about this. Mega me craze. 1978. They put out that greatest hits record.

37:22After three releases with the horse on it. He had put out three albums and they decide a year later after three releases. We're going to put on a great hits record. It was one of the best selling albums of all time. 13 million copies. It was in everybody's case not you. It was in mine. You know, hey, you guys want to listen to a little swing town. Don'tんだ. Don't do that. Don't burn you know, Pokémon. This folks in camel lights, we've got to drink some domestic light beer, and we're going to listen to see Miller's greatest hits. I was with Jim Lindbergugh had one of the beach life, you know, in a nice area where he was playing. Name drop. No, I mean it was so cool because I'll never forget it. I mean there was a total eclipse of just the moon going on. Right. And Miller's out there and he's 6263 guys. And then old 80 years old and he's standing up straight the bands only got four guys in it You know, they're just up there like And they sound like it was a man and I looked at Lindbergh, you know, it's a real rock star And I was like dude, it's just those four guys. He's like, oh, yeah, this is real stuff. This is real

38:25It's just like poverty, you know, it's like they're like those guys. I used to go see him every summer They played the shed every single summer. I just believe that being that old. Yeah, you know, haven't seen Brian Wilson there He's got two gigs coming up. Yeah, he's great He's got two gigs coming up the ninth and 10th at the Lincoln Center in New York City 83 years old Super stud Steve Miller. Listen to that guitar And he was just playing he's 80 years old. I mean you'd think his hands would be so aridic He's just out there shredding shredding And it's just three other dudes up there with him right, you know, not like where you need like 400 people to support you because you're so old Very impressive.
