Today's episode of Lockdown Ravens is brought to you by Calche for limited time down the Calche Apple News Code locked on to get $10 when you trade $10. On today's show, we'll talk about an update to the Ravens floor and ceiling. We'll talk about the Ravens season outlook. It's pretty clear in my opinion in terms of what they need to end up doing. In the first part of the show, Ian Rappepore weighed in on the latest non-dematurated be get developments. I want to talk about non-dematurated because I think it's very important to do so. You haven't heard or seen here already. You can tell the background under construction. Once again, we're back to Green Screen, Kevin, the Green Screen Lockdown Ravens.

We're doing an ode to a couple of different backgrounds of Lockdown Ravens here. We'll get the new background up and rolling as soon as possible. It's been the most hectic week in my life probably this week. It's appreciate everybody for sticking with me here on Lockdown Ravens. Let's get into the Ian Rappepore comments on the non-dematurated be get situation. We heard from Ian Rappepore on what his thoughts are about Namdi and ending up coming back into team activities, team drills for the Baltimore Ravens. He was over on the insiders and talked about Namdi and said, quote, he now is participating in team drills. Now is in 11 on 11 a significant step making you believe that Matt and BK will be on the field either when the season starts in week one or shortly thereafter. Actually, he might have said making me believe instead of making you believe it. That's the same concept either which way. I'm not too hung up on which word or phrase he used there because it's kind of the same

thing. This definitely is Sam and I, Sam and Joku and I yesterday, or actually this morning on the show, talked about what this development means because it's all about a step-by-step process for Namdi, Matt and BK. It feels like again, the Ravens are very optimistic. Namdi's very optimistic. Seems like the media is very optimistic. But again, we're not going to know fully. I still probably wouldn't predict Namdi comes back week one, but that's okay. It's okay if Namdi doesn't come back in week one because you still have the depth. There's a lot of things that can happen. But I do think that with these new developments, it's going to be a matter of right. Is he going to be taking more reps? How is he going to stack up over the course of next week? What's his participation status going to look like? The Ravens, they don't need Namdi Matt to be gay to win this game. I guess the Colts on Week number one, of course, he would help and you don't want to take the Colts or any team for that matter lightly. But you don't want to try to rush him back here. I'm not saying they're doing that, but there needs to be no rushing involved here from

any side, from any side because you do that. You start to get yourself into trouble that feels like. Look, I don't think the Ravens are doing that again and it feels like they have meticulously planned out this process for Namdi. Of course, yes, we know how badly the Ravens missed Namdi on defense last year. How important Namdi is to what they do defensively year in and year out. But the Ravens have built up their defensive line depth. Probably, I'm sure some of it was around the uncertainty of just having the question lingering of whether Namdi would come back or not. You have Clay's Campbell in the building now. You have them on the edge, you draft Zion Young. You have options there so that, yes, Namdi coming back would be huge and it will shift around who ends up playing wear. But in the meantime, you have a really good defensive line room anyway without Namdi Maddy-Veeke, which is kind of a scary part for opposing offense. Once Namdi comes back, it's about to be scary hours. But I truly do think that Baltimore is in a really good spot with their defensive line.

And part of that is a huge reason why I think that they can take this Namdi Maddy-Veeke thing as slow as they want to. Now, of course, you want him back as soon as possible, but you want him back as soon as possible within the comfortability of Namdi himself, the team, the doctors, etc. So, Ian Rappepore talking about, and again, like he says, making him believe or making us believe Namdi will be back on the field either when the season starts, a week, one or shortly thereafter. Yeah, I mean, that could very well be. The reason the Ravens didn't put him in IR, and again, Jesse Menter talked about this and Eric Acosta as well. I mean, we've gotten the updates of like, yeah, if they thought he was going to miss a ton of games, they would have put him in IR. Clearly, I'm not doing that. Indicates a very strong possibility he's going to be in there before a week five, obviously in this first four weeks. But him participating in team drills right now, and one of the huge reasons why him practicing as early as he did was a big deal is because if he had started practicing a week ago, or a week and a half ago, he'd be very far behind compared to where he is now. The fact that he was able to come back there early in the process, right as camp opened

and whatnot, right as the situation started, it's a big deal. It's a really big deal. So, again, I don't know if I'm putting Namdi at week one status, but like Sam and I talked about this morning, and again, now with these comments from Rappepore of him just weighing in with his thoughts and situational stuff. Maybe week two, maybe the home opener against the St. Can you imagine that? Namdi coming out for the home opener, M&T Bank, Rockin, like stadium, M&T Bank, stadium rockin, that would be incredible. I'd love that. We'll come to the second part of the show. We'll talk about the Ravens season outlook becoming clearer to me. It's pretty clear of Baltimore needs to do here. There are schedule stretches and guys need to step up. The picture is very clear to me. So, stay tuned for coming up on the show. First the show is brought to you by prize picks. Football is finally back and that means Sundays are back in a whole lot more interesting. Every week brings new matchups, breakout players, pick performances and plenty of store lines to follow. And if you'd like any even more engaged with the players and stats you're watching, there's

If they win their first five dollar lineup and prize picks is now available nationwide. The prize picks are going daily fantasy line up by choosing two to six players and selecting more or less on their projected stats like passing yards, rushing yards or fantasy score. For week ones, opener, Sam Darden, each has one yard against the ring that the cash has picked. It doesn't get easier than that. And I've got my own Lamar Jackson. So, I'm going to have a really big season if the opportunity is there. I want to see how their number stack up week to week. And that's where I like using prize picks to follow their player projections. Download the up to day news code locked on NFL. Get $150 in silly and line ups if you win your first five dollar lineup. We're made again. I've heard all of the suggestions. All right, purple, like I've heard it. We're going to try to implement as best we can, but it's going to take a little construction process is this week again. It's been very, very hectic for me. But I appreciate everybody for sticking with me here on locked on Ravens.

But let's talk about the Ravens season outlook becoming clear here because again, we're really getting into like week one is literally around the corner, right? Wednesday I'll kick off their practices week away on Sunday from the game. And to me, the season outlook for Baltimore, we've talked about bits and pieces all off season. We've kind of put the pieces together on a lot of this stuff. But in my opinion, there is a clear outlook for this Baltimore Ravens team this season. And honestly, to me, the bare minimum for them. And this is factoring in Jesse Miner's the first time I go to everything. The season outlook for me at bare minimum is when the AFC North and get into the postseason as a top two seed, top two seed. That to me is a big, maybe top three, maybe top three, but top two would make me feel really good, right? Now, again, I'm not going to put expectation on the Ravens like you have to be the ones you do have to want to suit. Well, you have to like go on to feel like no, I'm not going to do that because there are going to be growing pains are going to be situations. At the same time, like a lot of this off season, at least my cakes on it have been predicated

on the fact that I believe this Ravens roster is extremely high floor and extremely high ceiling. I think the coaching staff is extremely high floor and extremely high ceiling. Now, of course, there are going to be situations and circumstances, even like last season, it can't control health being a big one, other stuff as well. But if everything checks out for them, again, like the division for them, it shouldn't really be that big of a challenge for them in the AFC North. Again, since and that is going to be the biggest competition in my opinion, but you should be able to win that division pretty easily in my opinion, just because of everything that the Ravens have done this off season and guys, they're getting back healthy and who they've brought in. And you know, like since he's improved, I'm going to give him that for sure, but like, I'm not trusting Aaron Rodgers and the Browns are the Browns. So we're not even going to have that conversation. But again, like the Broncos and the Patriots, really good young teams, but you know, we also saw it happen to the Commander Scope years ago, me, the NFC Championship with Jane Daniels and then obviously another situation where health was a factor. But you know, I, if the injury luck turns in Baltimore's favor here and I'm really hoping it does this year, this is a talented team that can go toe to toe with with anybody, including

the Rams in my opinion, including the Rams. But you're kind of hearing it from the media as well, right? Like we're starting to hear more and more of essentially like more people being on, I don't want to call it a bandwagon, but more people essentially being like, yeah, I see it with Baltimore last year was the more I was injured and weird stuff going on. It feels like that's been more of the narrative recently, which is what I've been trying to say all off season, because people were trying to say, oh, this is who the more Jackson is and this, that it out. And I'm like, no, please can we just like not do this? It's not true. But feels like we're starting to move in the right direction with that. And it feels like people are getting back on the Ravens hype train here. So again, they don't have to win the Superboy year one. I'm not saying they do. I think in the next three years, the Ravens will have a Superboy. That's been my prediction for a while here. But at the same time, like there's a lot that can encourage me this year. It take a lot to disappoint me. Like it take a lot for this season to be a disappointment for the Ravens. Because again, injuries happen. That be a disappointment in its own right. But you know, like if you're dealing with the injuries, Baltimore is dealt with in certain

seasons. It's just unfortunate. But there is season outlook to me, especially in the early stretch, right? Six and oh, there will be awesome. I'm not going to necessarily that. I mean, I might actually who knows. But you know, five and one great. We can just chalk it up to five and one. But then your season essentially like the big gauntlet starts in week seven. You have that end of season stretch with the, you know, four AFC North teams, the rat or four AFC North games, three teams to round it out. So I'm going to be a lot for you. But the season outlook for the Ravens this season, it doesn't have to be Superboy, but you certainly have to show improvement from last year. And again, the big thing is like, can you get away from what some of the end of John Harbaugh tenure with the Ravens trends were, you know, blown forth quarter leads. You're a personal uses, et cetera, et cetera. Like if you can do that and, you know, yeah, you don't want the Superboy, maybe you go to the divisional AFC championship, whatever it may be. And you lose. And yeah, it's disappointing. It's going to be a bummer if they do that. And they lose. But again, we'll see the improvement in the growth. And so it's balancing out, right? Like it's balancing out trying to find yourself as a unit and as a team, as well as just

trying to, again, not waste the year of the more Jackson's prime because look, if they do lose and they don't want to see well this year, I've maintained it for years. Every season, you don't want to see well. It is a waste of a year over the more Jackson's prime. So again, the outlook to me, it's very positive overall right now. And I'm really excited for it. But coming up with a final part of the show, it's like what the floor and the ceiling of this unit and really of this team, because I think that again, we've had these conversations at points in the offices, but now we're about a week away. And I think again, they're even more clearly defined. So stay tuned when it comes up on the show. First of all, it was brought to you by CalShi. Poor season, you can kick soft. And also if you're a fan of family member who's a Ravens fan, I want some data, Ravens coverage. I'm over here our way on Lack Done Ravens. All right. Let's dive in just to floor in the ceiling of this team where for me, I think that is we've had these conversations in the off season. I mean, look, if we want to go like actual ceiling ceiling, obviously it's putting the soup in the bowl, right? This team is definitely a super bowl contender this year in my opinion. There's no doubt about that. Can they win it? I think they can. Will they? Obviously we will not note the answer to that. I don't know. Like I felt more and more confident as the off season has gone on, especially with what

we saw in the preseason. Look, I know that the more Jackson, Kyle Hamilton, all the starters, they weren't out there and the Ravens weren't really running like their big time playbook of like all this different stuff. But look at the end of the day. Look good. It looked really good. So that gave me a lot of confidence. I think that honestly, like if you want to go low floor, if the health doesn't work out, I mean, you could have another eight and nine season. Like if the more gets injured again, knock on wood that does not happen. I'm knocking right now. Other guys get injured, knock on wood again. Hopefully it does not happen. But if it does, yeah, I mean, you lose your stars. You're going to have a lost season like it was last year for a lot of different reasons, including health. But I mean, I really think that like, oh man, record wise, floor for them is like 10 and seven. Like, I think they're going to finish above 500. I think they're going to finish with double digit wins. Like I just don't see a scenario where they do not make the playoffs unless health is not in their favor this season. You know, just feels like they're on the same wavelength. They're doing the thing together. Like all of it makes a lot of sense to me.

It makes a lot of sense to me. So I don't know, it just, man, it feels like if Baltimore goes out there this year and puts together a 10 win season, yeah, it'd be disappointing because I think they can be so much better than that. But at the same time, all I want this team to do this year is get into the play. I don't care how you do it. Just get into the dance because I think that like the Andre Hathens was talking about, even though they were not great last year, they had a lot of weird stuff going on for them. They to me are a team that if they had made the playoffs last year, it resets, right? It resets. You can go out there and do your thing. So I don't know, just it felt like to me last year, they did get some momentum where they want to do it last year. I mean, probably not. Right. But at the same time, gives you a chance. I think this Raven's team is good enough to work. They get in the postseason this year. They will absolutely have a chance. And even if that means they squeak their way in, they don't look as good as we think they will this year right now, even still. Like as long as you have LeMora Jackson needs healthy, you have a chance.

LeMora wasn't healthy last year. It was unfortunate. But I think that this year, there's a lot that there's a lot that the Ravens can do. And even like worst case where maybe the offense doesn't click all season, they can't find themselves defensively. There's enough for all talent on the roster. I really do believe in them. So I don't know. I have a good feeling. I have a good feeling about this Baltimore Remus team. And I just, I hope overall that the, I hope overall the Ravens can figure it out. And I think they will. It's not going to be a perfect season. I'd love it. But it's not going to be a perfect season for them. But again, the last time or the last two times, the only times Ravens won the Super Bowl is they weren't the one seed, right? We've seen the last couple of times. The team was the one seed. They're underdogs. And maybe that's what they are right now, right? The team aren't believing them as much like the whole nine yards. So there are seedlings absolutely as Super Bowl and their floor. I still think is like maybe nine and eight. Maybe I'll say nine and eight for that. But again, that's with like no health issues at all, right? If there are health issues, then obviously it's a different conversation.

But again, this Ravens team is going to be back in contention this season, health permitting. And I'm very excited to see it happen. But that's all I have here today. On lockdown, Ravens, thanks for tuning in on the show. I'm glad I'm sure Lexins will grab on a video form and follow along. So grab another from five days.
