The second part of the show some big Ravens injury updates were revealed, particularly on Nogin Meda Vique and Teddy Buchanan. The first part of the show, Nogin Meda Vique, he did break his silence on his injury situation. For what I do believe is the first time since he got injured back in week number two of last season. It's really been anticipated for me for a while. When was Nogin going to speak in this whole situation? You're going to dive into that as well. Thanks for being here. Thanks for sticking with me again through this. It's been a crazy period here for this last week for me. Of course, this is not how the normal setup looks. Green screen, not using the usual mic here for me. We're slowly moving along and going to have our new revamp background as soon as possible. But again, thanks for sticking with me here on Locked on Ravens. Let's talk about Nogin Meda Vique breaking his silence. He spoke to the media on Friday.

3:01Obviously, this is something that for Nogin, I think a lot of people aren't necessarily sure if he was going to play again. But Nogin thought that there were no doubts for Nogin. He said, quote, no, there are a lot of rumors out there, but I always knew I was going to be back. It was just a process of coming back just like any other injury. This was my time, which I had to deal with it. I went through and now we are here. Got an opening statement that said, quote, before I start, I want to say thank you to the whole Ravens organization, my family, my great teammates, my close friends, the support through this process. Over the past years, it's been definitely one of the hardest points in my life or of my life. But I'm very grateful to be where I am at right now. I'm not going to get into the details of it, but I'll definitely say it was pretty grueling. I'm looking forward right now. I'm just definitely thankful to be back and looking forward to what's ahead. Like everybody here is as well. I know everybody has a lot of questions. I want to know details about my situation. Respectfully, I'm going to keep this, I'm going to keep the specifics out of it. I'm going to be here to answer football questions. It's great to see everybody's faces again. It's been a while. So look, totally respect that for Nogin. Obviously, I am curious about what the injury was, but obviously, total respect for Nogin keeping that stuff.

4:08Private, honestly, I didn't really expect him to say anything about his injury situation in terms of the specifics of it. So this is not necessarily a shock or a surprise to me. But again, like just seeing him back in front of the media, answering questions, he's in high spirits. Like, again, I didn't know if we were going to get to that point. Now, apparently Nogin was like, no, that was never a thing. But at the same time, neck injuries are pretty serious. So you kind of have to play, you have to be cautious with them for sure. And he was asked about what point does he feel like it accelerated where he got over the hump to the point where he's close to making his debut here. And he said, quote, during training camp was more about the ramp up. It did not really get the details of the playoffs, more about getting back in shape and recovering all those things. Everybody in this organization just had my back. I felt very supported. I'm at a point now where I'm really just ramping up and getting to a great spot, I believe. And I think everybody could agree in the building that I am in a really good spot right now. I'm going to just take it one day at a time. And that's kind of what you got to do, right? Especially with injuries like this.

5:09He hasn't played football since week two of last season. So it's been about a year since he's played competitive football. And the NFL is the highest level you can do it at. So it got to be able to just ramp up, feel 100% confident. And again, it just feels like your organization, NAMDI, everybody involved, the doctors, whoever, they've all had a really great plan. At least it feels like that from the outside looking in. He was also just asked about, because back in January, he tweeted a good news in a prayer emoji, like the prayer hands emoji. And he was asked if there's anything he could share about that. And he just said he did remember it, but he was saying good news because there was just a lot of stuff going on, lots of rumors here and there. I just said good news kind of to take away the pressure whenever people were saying and stuff like that. It was like, what does this mean? What does this mean? I just kind of was in the process of getting back. So it was just kind of a little thing for people to snack on a little bit online. So that's really what it was. And NAMDI feeding into it. He's feeding into it. And that honestly, this is not the first time. Well, I think a lot of players do stuff like this.

6:11If I'm not mistaken, I think a lot of players feed into the online stuff at times. And for NAMDI, it all kind of adds up and makes sense because clearly he's saying, there was never a doubt for me about the fact that there was going to be a situation where he was going to be back. He said, no, there were no doubts. So he wanted to be like, what can I give a hint? Here to say that I'm going to be back. And I guess that was what he was doing there. So it's so funny. It's so funny. I remember reacting to that. I'm like, oh, does it, does it go? I mean, it has to be good, right? What does it mean? So he said, quote, I was always confident. I never lost out. That was going to be back on the field. It's all about the process coming back to like any other injury. And I was going through it. It was a patient process. It took some time, but I'm back. I'm wrapping up and getting back. And I am in a good place right now. A great place. Actually, he talked about his itch. He talked about he could say it's an itch, but he's playing football his whole life. So it's about preparation, taking care of your body, watching film, all that type of stuff as well.

7:11And he talked about how actually his time off gave him a different appreciation for the game of football. He said, quote, definitely, like I said before, you're not really know what you have. Until it's taken away from you. And it's definitely really put things into perspective for me about how much I love this game, much I love being here and how, and just how much I love being on that field. In my head, I always knew I had no doubt I was going to be back. It was just about the process coming back. And now we are here. Time really does fly. So just doing things right one day at a time kind of gets you in that direction. So really, it's so good to see him back up there. And when he's back on the field, it's going to be great. And this Raven's team, he's going to provide a big boost to that defense, obviously, and come to the second part of the show. We'll be diving into just some updates on Namdi, because we've been getting updated on Namdi's weak ones status. And we also got a report on Teddy Buchanan as well. But let's talk about some injury updates. We just talked about 90 minute BK speaking to the media and it was awesome to see him up there and it kind of sets in the reality of like, oh, hey, he's back and obviously we've known that. But like him being up there, taking questions, it was really cool to see

11:12that. Now Jesse Minsor did give an update on it, Namdi and officially ruled out Namdi Metabike for a week number one. Jesse Minsor said, quote, Namdi is not going to play this game. You guys will actually get a chance to talk to him here soon. He's really, really close. It has been a great process for him to return from the injury that he had. I feel great about where he's at, but we're not going to play him this week. This is the only time out ever to do this. But I think of Nambdi in us. He kind of, or he is kind of working through this process. And he talked about how it's a timing is gone. Probably had a pretty good idea. Obviously, like I mentioned before, we did not put Namdi on IR on the IR. He's definitely really, really close. But I think this is just the best addition for him. Most importantly, it's the best decision for him. And I think that he is going to be ready to roll here soon. And he said he's been doing a lot of practice, a lot in practice. He's the last couple of weeks and he's worked himself back and has he's done that process. He's taken a lot of reps and he's been really involved in getting a self back into the part of the game with contact and football, double teams, past Russian, all those things. So again, Jesse Minsor, he's in a really, really good place.

12:13And he loves where he is at. So it's great. I mean, look, it's unfortunate. It's not going to be able to play in this game. But again, is the updates came out? I was kind of wondering, I'm like, hmm, this is actually feeling a little bit more realistic than I thought it would. And I'm like, okay, you know what? If everybody feels comfortable and confident in the situation, then, okay, like cool. But I think this is the correct decision. You don't want to rush it with Namdi. I think the Ravens can still beat the Colts without Namdi, but it beat gay as well. You have the death Travis Jones, Clayis Campbell, who had a vet day, said, are, etc. And, you know, like, if it just takes that extra, like, because I would assume, again, I don't know anything, but I would assume he'll be back in week two against the Saints. Like, I think that the Saints game is going to be the game where he returns. And, you know, I just, I feel like if you just need to give him a little bit more time, if that little bit more time is going to just secure his health and secure that he'll be good to go ready to roll. No risk any of that. And a thousand percent is the right decision, especially with an injury like this. So I'm not surprised.

13:13Namdi is not playing in this game. Now my original timeline before the updates we got this week, I was like, yeah, week three week four. I was more so like the week four territory. But you know, as these updates came out here, I'm pretty firm and like, I feel like he's coming back week two again, just a feeling, just a feeling. I don't have any information on that. But my feeling is week two against the Saints that home opener. And if that is true, Namdi come out of the tunnel. I'm sure they'll do. I think they'll do defensive intros, right? At least I assume they'll do defensive intros and that would be unreal. The M and C bank stands in a little crazy for Namdi, Matt and Vicky. But we also got news on Teddy but can. Now this is a report. This was not from Jesse Menser. He was very mom on the other injuries. But Teddy but Canon according to Matt Zenit's over at CBS Sports is expected to miss week number one. The actual final injury report for the Ravens. They did rule Namdi out. They ruled Teddy but Canon out as well. So of course, you have those two that are not going to play.

14:13And then Clayis Campbell, you know, no injury status. They flowers. He was full the last two days, no injury status. You know, Teddy, if you're she ruled out there, then the test Walker. He is questionable three straight days of a groin injury. So, you know, after the report from Matt Zenit's came out, that was when the report or the, you know, actual injury report came out. I think it was like 40 minutes after Matt Zenit's reported that. That Teddy was going to miss the game the Ravens were about. So that's right. I mean, look, it's fine. I think both those guys can come back for week two of the Ravens. Can win the game without them. And I'm very excited to see how it all unfolds. But coming up the final part of the show, we'll talk about some Ravens news and notes, diving and everything about what's going on around this Ravens team is they head into week number one. You know, Jesse mentor also had a couple of other things to say during his availability on Friday. You know, he talked about the travel situation and you know, he was asked about it for the Rio game in particular. And he said that he has been in her city has a ton of respect for both coaches and both the organizations making decisions. They felt best for their teams. And it's the same thing that you know, they'll do. They put a lot of time looking into it and you know, he talked about how the chargers played in Brazil last year. So it actually, I think that gives the Ravens an advantage personally. But you know, that's another interesting conversation point because it is a huge topic right now about the Rams and how they looked in that game last night, which was a bit small. So, you know, Sean McVase said it wasn't anything to do about that. I think Sean McVase is trying to save face. So, you know, what we'll kind of see on that situation as well. But, you know, at the end of the day, I do think that, you know, it's it's a bigger deal that I think some people believe it is.

18:23Because you know, the rest is so important sleep is important and kind of the way you adjust two different time zones is important as well. And I was speaking of the Colts looking at their situation right now heading into this game against the Ravens. They put out their final injury report and there's not really a ton of guys on here. The Colts only have one player that's questionable and you know, I think that outside of that, like the Forest Buckner had a rest day on Friday. The Alec Pierce was limited all three days to this heal injury, but he's not he does not have he doesn't have a status to various word popped up and live into practice due to a rest situation. But again, nothing to do about anything there. So, again, just different rest days, all that stuff illness. I think there's a little illness that Anthony Richardson and such a fan pran Granger had something with illness wise. But yeah, only one player question more for the Colts. So it feels like both of these teams are in a good spot overall injury wise and both teams relatively going to be a full strength here. So at least for the most part and that's kind of what you want already.

19:25You want a good test and I feel that Baltimore's going to have a really good test here in week one. I think it's a perfect game for them. The Colts are a good team, but they're a team that you can still get away with. All right, if you're going through some growing pains, making some mistakes, you know, the Colts are still a team that, you know, they're going to be trying to figure things out as well with guys coming off an injury and. All that different stuff, but you know, right now I think the Baltimore isn't a really good spot for this game and you know, my prediction is that they win it. I'm not necessarily sure how much they won it by, but you know, if I had to give a score prediction just right now, maybe this changes by the time Sunday rolls around, but. You know, I probably go like 26 to 17 26 17, all right, 26 18 let's go 26 18. We'll give the Colts an extra point here. One possession game with a touchdown at two point will go 26 18 Ravens. I feel like that's good. I mean, I feel like that'd be a lot of good things, but like the offense would have their shot a little bit not go too crazy, but still do really well defense given up 18 points. I think that's fine. Like your defense is given up 18 points a game. I think you're going to win a lot of games with that offense.

20:28So I'm very excited for this game should be a good one overall, but the Ravens really important for them to start fast. They have to have to have to start fast in this one, but that's all I have here today on locked on Ravens. Thanks so much to you needing a show.
