That's the reaction a lot of people are having when they first try Cupid Mayon. Yeah, it's the one with the red cap and the little baby on the bottle. You've probably seen it at the grocery store. And this mayo is different. Most mayonnaise uses whole eggs. Cupid only uses egg yolks, which gives it this rich umami flavor. It's smoother, deeper, almost buttery.
Once people try it, they start putting it on everything. Egg sandwiches, fries, burgers. Chefs use it, restaurants use it. People who really care about flavor use it. Put it on just about anything. Then you'll understand. Cupid, the original Japanese mayonnaise. You want to talk about pressure? Try having millions of people watching and waiting to see what you're going to do once that ball hits your hand. Hey, it's Marcus Allen, pro football Hall of Famer, NFL MVP, and Super Bowl Champion. And this season, I've teamed up with Underdog because they know how to make watching football a whole lot more interesting. You make your read, you commit, and then you find out that's competition. And Underdog has a game that puts that decision making to the test. It's called Keep Your Million. Underdog starts you with $1 million in funds and gives you 20 player prop questions. You decide how much to put on higher and how much to protect on lower. Whatever lands on the winning side, stays aligned. Your job? Make it through all 20 picks without hitting zero and see how much of your million you can keep. I like that because it's not just one decision. You've got to manage the pressure, trust your read, and then do it again.
Think you can handle the sweat? Download Underdog and play Keep Your Million today. Trust your read, make your pick, Underdog, unleash your dog. And we're on every day, pretty six after six John Cobalt Show, on demand. And that's the same today and about an hour you'll hear the podcast first hour was extensive coverage of the new independent investigation of the Althadena and Palisades fire refocused on the Palisades fire. Roger Bailey on the attorneys representing all the homeowners. And now we're going to do the Althadena fire. And that one had more deaths 19 people died in the Althadena fire. It's officially called the Eton fire, but. Eton is not a thing. Althadena is the town. And the LA Times did a summary 725 page report. So there's a lot in there. Maybe we'll talk more about some of this stuff as more information comes out. This is just an overview.
And the, you know, in the Palisades, the sins were the LA fire department didn't clean up the old fire had they done so. And what they would have taken very little personnel and very little money. None of it happens. And Althadena, the problem was the response. It was just a really badly executed response. And what they focused on in this investigation. And it was a lack of communication between deputies and paramedics. And the officials in charge of the fire response. Now. What why is this? See the flames were going into West Althadena. And. That area never got evacuation alerts.
At all until the very end. And it was too late. People that are already burned to death. More than three hours before the first act of evacuation alert went out to West Althadena. There was sheriff's activity. Officers going door to door patrol cars using PA systems. But no widespread evacuation alert was issued. Even though the paramedics were saying the embers are coming down like snow. There's structures on fire. Nobody in LA County warned the people. People who were asleep a lot of them elderly. So they they died. Probably in their beds. Because nobody nobody told them what was going on. Now I do not have communications. There's no excuse for this.
And it doesn't really explain why they couldn't talk to each other. And this is what Robert Luna is running for reelection. And he's never explained anything. Fire chiefs never explained anything. The LA County Sheriff's Department. Oh, the paramedics squad. Listen to this. For reasons the report doesn't explain. The paramedics squad operated independently and was not actually assigned to the fire incident. Now, they just that in your head. They have paramedics County paramedics. They weren't assigned to the fire. Paramedics worked on their own. There is no why. It's just incompetence. It's just people not caring. What nobody thought of it. Nobody thought you'd need them. This is completely inexplicable and stupid.
And again, who gets fired here? Who gets fired for not telling the paramedics where to go and what to do? I'm telling you fire hits your neighborhood. There's no help coming. Well, that's why the rich people have their own private fire services, right? Fire departments. You wonder why Caruso had one for his fallacies village. I wish I could have one. I don't trust these people. Remember what we had to do in my neighborhood? We the police department didn't show up for a week. And there were looters everywhere. Seven homes in my neighborhood. And we have a small neighborhood. It's about a block and a half. Seven of the homes. I mean, I could see most of them from my front, from my front door. They were looted. Burglers broke in and looted them. No police. And eventually I had to, well, my wife and I had to team up with a couple of other neighbors.
We threw in like a thousand dollars. And we hired a guy. He was somebody's electrician. But he was licensed to carry a weapon. And he showed it to me. It was a silver gun. And he patrolled the front of our house. How come we have to do that? How come we have to hire a stranger and give him a lot of money to stand outside our house? And he says, if I see him, I'll shoot him. I'll kill him. I'll never forget that. I see him. I shoot him. I kill him. And then he'll go to jail or prison. And I wondered if I would go to jail or prison for hiring the guy. That's a good point. But at that point, I didn't care. Because there were robbers running around the neighborhood, presumably they had a gun. And they could come in and kill us.
Right. So isn't that a, that's a threat. Yeah. So we're feeling threatened. So my wife and I slept for a week with baseball bats on the side of the bed. Now a lot of other people in the neighborhood went to a hotel, but we had all those animals. And I, two lizards and two birds and a dog and a cat. Found out that night that cats really hate the cold. Oh, that's right. Because you had no power. We had no power. I forgot to mention that. We had no electricity. The whole neighborhood. So it was extremely dark. I had never seen Los Angeles that dark. And I got the car and I drove over to Ace Hardware. And the fire fire is about two miles from us. And I bought a couple of dozen flashlights. And we put them up on every window to make it look like we were home. As much of the neighbors had fled. We stayed for the animals. I don't know. Maybe that was stupid. Maybe we should have sacrificed all the animals. No, you did the right thing. But we got this guy and he stood in front and he says, I see him.
I shoot on my kill him. And it's like, you know what? That's great. I'm going in the house. CC. I'm running that way. So don't shoot me. Okay. And I told my wife, we're not going back out there because it's so dark. He's not going to know. He's going to see movement. Boom. What do you think is going to happen when we have the big earthquake? The same thing. I'm glad you brought that up. I was thinking about you today. If it's not clear to you all of you people by now, there is nobody that's going to help you. Me, Deborah, nobody, if there's an earthquake and an earthquake, you know, if we get the big eight or nine from the San Andreas fall. Please, let's not have that happen. Please, please, universe. Please, I'm begging you. Universe is unleashed. Everything else on us. Why not that? I know, but just not that. It's going to dwarf what this fire did. And you could see the LA Fire Department even couldn't couldn't put out a measly smoldering situation.
And in LA County, they didn't even have what nobody in the LA, the LA County Fire Department could pick up the phone and call the paramedics and say, hey, let's go to West Alton, Dina or call the emergency services office. All you have to do is dial the phone. And say, hey, send the alerts out to West Alton, Dina. This is step number one. It's extremely simple and they didn't do it. And that's why reading this report and I didn't read the report yet. It just came out. It's 700 pages, but it's just reading these summaries in the newspaper. It, it's extremely depressing. And I felt so helpless that night in Brentwood. And I always say we had the mildest of inconveniences compared to what happened in the palisades. But I remember calling my son on the way to Ace Hardware to get the flashlights. He's living in another state. I said, it's completely lawless here.
Everybody's on their own. You know, that would be a good question to ask Karen Bass and Nithia Rahman. What are you going to do? What are you going to do with Jim McDonald? What are you going to do when the big earthquake hits? How are you going to protect us? Yeah. I wonder if we you'd asked all these people, you know, the week before the fire. If you said, hey, if there was a big wildfire here and we've had plenty in the hills. Is everybody ready? Oh, yes, we have a command center. Everybody's well trained. Why kept reading is the LA Fire Department's well trained police department's well trained. Well, where do all that training go on January 7th? Well, what was all that? The evacuation alerts for Western Alta Dita didn't go out till 325 in the morning on January 8th.
325. 4 hours after the first 911 call from West Alta Dita. And several hours after the sheriff's deputies witnessed the fire in the area. Some people didn't get the warning until 550 in the morning. And those people were burnt to a crisp. And have you ever seen who's the name of the LA Fire Chief? Could you look that up really quick? Maroni. Maroni, yeah. So I Maroni has never addressed this and Luna has never addressed this. And Kristen Crowley and LA City Chief bass. Oh. Isn't that amazing? Isn't it amazing? How could you have so many people, so many levels of government? So much money, so much of lead training and everybody failed at their job.
Everybody failed at preparation and execution and follow up. How is that possible? But John, I just want to correct myself. Well, it's the city fire. It's Jamie Moore for the LA County. It's Maroni. Yeah, Maroni. That's what I was looking for the LA County fire. Then I don't need to correct myself. No, you, you didn't make a mistake. Oh, good. You never did. Well, I'm the dodo bird thing you did. Do do. And do do bird, yeah. We got the voice line coming up next. You've mastered the classic wine regions. Now discover a hidden gem. You're listening to John Cobalt on demand from KFI AM640. KFI AM640, we're stimulating talk radio. John Cobalt's show. Let's do the voice line. Part one. Hey, John. Thanks for calling the voice line. I'm so excited to hear from you. It's about time.
It's Nitya Rahman, through everyone's chicks here. Well, the mission is the wildest quality of progressive Democrat. Everything he does is a broadest. And the most important thing is that he's going to be able to do is to make sure that he's going to be able to do it. There's a state of progressive Democrat. Everything he does is a broadest up in the space or sends him all the cliff and crashing it into the bottom of the canyon. Since he found as a governor, he may as well be in base for a presidency or never at length. There's a stinko for a skid room. Remember, these homeless people are their people, not us to work in class. We're just there to pay for those people so they can continue to get re-elected. Cobalt is back. I'm glad to hear your voice, kids, sir. Good to have you back. If Karen Vesca is re-elected, she's on the verge of federal indictment for fraud and terrible things, but the $24 billion she's wasted. Now, if Nitya Rahman gets in, you're going to have to go through all this again.
The vessel be recalled or kicked out of office because she's under federal indictment. It's not about ineligible people. It's all the free health care they gave to illegal immigrants. Lire. Every time I hear about these pools are being conducted by a liberal socialist type organization. Are there any conservative polls out there? I bet you're going to be a lot different. Virginia, preach into the choir. California has always been the land of milk and honey, and that is why. People vote the way they do is because it's full of dreamers. People who have dreams. Don't forget that Gavin Newsom shan't fall blown COVID. In fact, did people end of the nursing zone to kill the elderly? I'm just listening to the thing about Gavin and regretting the school closures. That was the best thing that ever happened to us.
We never sent our kids back to public school. They're homeschooled now. We found out what they were teaching them. It was they were teaching them. I love when John's happy man. He starts laughing when all these pretty people beating people up, clapping up, throwing needle up, frying pan, all that. Man, more souls like that. We need to hear John laugh. John's a good guy. I love that guy, man. So anyways, keep up the good work, John. Like always. Oh, wow. That's awesome. The Sarah is taking a page right out of Joe Biden's playbook. Joe was staying in the basement. And Basera is staying in the garage. Hilton's doomed because you went on Fox News and supported Trump. You're not being fair about the gas. You're talking regular gas. There is a multitude of vehicles out there that have to have the premium gas, which is $7 a gallon. Yeah. And higher mid-range gas, which is $7 a gallon.
Only the regular is the 6.38. So I live in the great state of Arizona. And I paid $497 for gas to fill up, I take the other night. I moved to Georgia a couple years ago. My monthly utility bills added up altogether or less than my electricity was in California. Absolutely a different world. So we just got back from Italy after two weeks. We saw one homeless person, just one. No one's walking around with yellow, green, purple hair. No one is over said and hardly any trash. We come back just the opposite. Oh, and no one's walking around there for jammers. We're in this bizarre world because we've combined cultural justice and criminal justice. And those two things don't go together. And we've also taken away a sense of personal responsibility from other people so that now it's everyone else's fault that someone went crazy. This is the world we live in.
I'm sorry. And it's terrible. Does anybody else notice that the fly you buy flight number was 1073? That's essentially the date that the barbaric attack on the Israeli Music Festival took place. October 7th, 2023. When I realized that, I felt shaken to the core. Thank you for leaving your message. Please hang up. Goodbye. That's actually cool. All the things going on. Are you in Italy together with that guy? Uh, he, all of Italy's like that. You said the same thing you did. Well, yes, because the Italians do not, you come back here and this seems to be like an inferior culture after you've been in Italy. The food is much better. The people are more attractive. They dress better. There's, there's no, there's not, there's not freaks when you're talking about no blue hair
and green haired people and you got that, you know, nose ring people and that don't exist there. It's a random people in the street. And this is most of the Europeans because the tourist were Europeans. There weren't too many Americans. The Americans stood out. You went, ugh. I think way overfed. Walmart rags they were wearing. It's like, but nobody has any pride or self respect anymore. They're on vacation, blobbing out. Walmart rags and all the Europeans and the Italians look fit, attractive, well dressed. They haven't like died their hair, weird colors. They haven't, uh, designated their bodies with all kinds of crazy tattoos. I don't know. I just, it's culture really close. What'd you get out of here? You're listening to John Cobalt on demand from KFI AM640.
KFI AM640 live everywhere on the I Heart Radio app, John Cobalt show and six o'clock. The podcast comes out and if you're just joining us now, you've missed a lot today because that big investigative report came out from an outside agency that the Newsroom administration hired. Somehow they avoided analyzing the state's role in the palisades fire, put that aside for a second. They really did a number on the LA Fire Department and the LA County Fire Department and Sheriff's Department. We've gone, we went through a lot of that in the four o'clock hour, more here in this last half hour. Four o'clock, uh, there's a three and five we did. We did the fire four o'clock hour was the incredibly high sales tax we have now in in in LA County 10.25% because the LA County supervisor scammed us with a proposition, measure ER and they misled the public into everybody thinking it was for
healthcare and it's not going to be for healthcare. It's a general tax they can use it for anything. It's a slush fund. So all that's on the podcast. You ought to listen. Oh, and Newsroom left the state for Alabama and did a podcast and he's ordering companies to go back to 1849 in their corporate records to see what connection they had to slavery. Really, we're in an insane asylum. This is an absolute insane asylum. One extra detail because of the Moistline call, I will mention the price of all the other grades of gas, right? 640 here in California and the national price is 439. So our price is almost exactly $2 more than the national average. And like I said, in Indiana, it's 379. All right. So now we're up to a $2.60 difference between us and Indiana. Mid-grade gas, 662. High-grade gas is 682.
So it's very, it is $7 in a lot of places. I see it. But diesel is $8.37. That is the killer. I got a story I'm going to do Monday because the truckers are going to go out of business. They can't afford this. The price of diesel. And with that comes. Inflation for all the food and all the goods that get delivered just about everything gets delivered on a truck. One way or the other. The diesel price is unsustainable. And if the Republicans get voted out in Washington, it's going to be over gas prices. Nothing else. It'll be the gas prices because this got out of control. So we're supposed to be four to six weeks. And people are just not putting up with it. By the way, most people don't care about Iran. They're trying to sell, Trump is trying to sell people like, well, you know, we've contained Iran for the first time in 50 years.
The public doesn't care. The public cares overwhelmingly about the gas prices. And the gas prices are at a control across the country. And they're doubly at a control here because of the idiot Newsom. And they'll get worse under the idiot, the Sarah. But that's that's for Monday. I got to tell you about another danger we have. It was going through all the dangers that Debra could encounter on an expectation. Here's one that could happen here. A massive breakdown of our sewage infrastructure. Yeah, really? Yes, really. Wait to tell you how bad it is. How bad is it, John? It is so bad. The LA Times did a story on the Hyperion Water Reclamation Plant. That's a fast fancy name for our sewer system. It is located down in the Pleiadele Ray, El Segundo area.
And it handles 95% of the city sewage. Do you know how many millions of gallons of fluid pass through? From our toilets and sinks and washing machines and factories? How many millions of gallons a day? 800 million gallons of what they call effluent. This is a drinking water. This is water after we have called after four million of us have fouled our toilets. And all the all the all the dishwater and the washing machine water. And the facility was built in 1950. It has rarely been upgraded. You know, all the busted water pipes. I'm just going to say, yep. Oh, yeah, I got more on that too. Remember in 2021, they had an equipment breakdown. And a massive amount of raw sewage, gushed into Santa Monica Bay.
Turned out to be about 12 and a half million gallons of raw sewage. I'm sure some of it's still there. 12 and a half million gallons of poop. You know what caused that? And they never would admit it. That was all the trash that got washed by storms from homeless encampments. All the furniture that's out on the sidewalks got washed away in a storm. And it all floated through the channels into the Hyperion plant. And it seized up. It seized up from homeless debris. They want didn't want to talk about it. Waste water plants like Hyperion can be overloaded. And this eventually back up the sewage into homes and businesses as well as flooding Santa Monica Bay.
Back in 2021, the workers had to run for their lives. A day loose of water knocked out the pumps and the electrical equipment. So all this poop water had had burst the seams. You know, Ellie's only poor workers were afraid they were going to drown. That's a bad way to go. What are we going to do about the Olympics? Can you imagine if we have one of these? That's a good one. You're going to be saying that a lot over the next couple of years. There's a couple of these. The athletes from all the different countries. What is this? Yeah. The 2021 spell was related to poor maintenance. According to Mark Gold director of the California cooperative of OSHA, actually fisheries investigations program. Okay. I should have just said he's from UC San Diego. It's because the city's infrastructure has been rotting for decades. So it's over looked. We focus on the roads and the water pipes that bring the water to our homes.
Gold says, surers and water distribution systems are at a site at a mind. And unless you have a major spill or some other catastrophe, they don't prioritize that infrastructure. But that's their job. See, this is what's crazy to me. The city and the county. You have to prioritize the sewage system, even though it's not a glamorous sexy thing. They raised surfer fees significantly four years ago. They doubled the sewage sewage rates. And you know who chairs the public works committee. This is going to frighten you. The woman on the council who oversees the maintenance of the sewage system is unissus her nandes. And over the years, she has contributed a lot to the sewage system herself.
So she ought to know. And she says, well, this is all expensive. And not only services L.A. but 30 other towns as well. Beverly Hills, Culver City, West Hollywood, just for an example. The city manages 6,700 miles of wastewater or sewage pipes, which is the distance from L.A. to China. It's the distance around the moon. And 1200 miles of stormwater pipes. Of all these pipes. Now we're talking about almost 8,000 miles of pipes. Half or over 50 years old. A third or over 90 years old. They're far past their expected life cycles. So we've got the big super elinio season coming. There's a good chance we'll have a massive sewage explosion in Plymouth, Del Rey.

You know what's hard? The sweat. The time between locking in and cashing out. Yeah, you have a take. But in the end, it's not about the winners or losers. This is about us, man. Whether we're brave enough to sit through it. Don't fight the sweat. Live in it. Because you are an underdog. Underdog. At least you're dog.

People who really love food and flavor use it. Whatever you're eating, Cupid. So if you haven't tried Cupid yet, find the bottle with the red cap
and see what everyone's talking about. You'll understand Cupid, the original Japanese mayonnaise. You're listening to John Cobalt on demand from KFI AM640. KFI AM640. We're stimulating talk radio. John Cobalt show, let's do round two of the Moist line. And John, thanks for calling the Moist line. I'm so excited to hear from you. It's about time. You know, for the whole Hathi Air Bakaria thing, it's like free to make and edit websites anymore. You don't need a code among you to conjure up magic. It's like, it's just drag and drop stuff, man. Websites are free. You have like 92 free websites. I have several of myself and it's free. It's literally free. I'm just flabbergasted at this point. And I heard Los Angeles is going through a second outbreak of Typhus. And to the people of LA, I'll have to say,
if this is what you voted for, this is what you get. I got zero to give for whatever kind of suffering this brings to you. That dead air that you heard from Bakaria is, interview, that was a glitch in the matrix. There is nothing going on there, man. His parents might have been hard workers, but boy, I don't think he's worked hard at anything, rather than being dumb. Yeah, you nittya. I used to work in your district and I had a hobo, filling a cup of tea, these all over the business. And now I'm out of work due to your leadership. Thank you, nittya. You good guy. Adam Newton didn't campaign either because most people will vote Democrat in California. So how they are back in Korea is counting on that too. He might not be qualified, but he's going to count on people voting for Democrats because of Trump and because of Democrats. That's the way it is. You can't be serious about that, that's our interview. Are you sure that's an AI as well? Are you sure that's an SNS and else good? Because there is no f***ing way that guy's leading Hilton in the polls.
That is insane. How stupid people are in the state if this is real. Oh my god. If you want to see the state of politics in California, look no farther than that interview with Avia Bakaria. It's just a big joke to them. The interviewer is a big joke. He's sitting there like he is. No idea what he's about to say. He is not a f***ing idiot. How can we use California's corrupt voting system to reform California's corrupt voting system? Hey, guess what? Go f*** yourself. Actually, the best source of type is his life, body life, which is rampant amongst the homeless. I'll have Tundings in Bates, for an extra tenancy big moustag here, be it here, they are just idiots here. You know, Havihaire Bacerra is going to be business as usual for the next four years. You know, more heat, more high prices, and no relief come this election. You know, we need to change here in California.
We need to vote what's best for California. Forget about whether you're Republican or Democrat. Make an educated decision and vote for what's best for California. Let's make California the golden state it once was known for. Well, this tightest crisis, it has definitely been created by Karen Bask. She's the one that needs to be held accountable. They do not care. They do not care who's fault it is. As long as they say it's Trump's fault, here in California, that's what they believe. That's going to hold. Forget California, it's dead. Trump started that war and that's why gas is 650. Don't hurt a blame anybody else. Thank you for living your message. Please, Havihaire Bacaria. I'm telling you, if the other 49 states had the conditions we have, and they had Steve Hilton against that Bacaria, Hilton would win in the other 49 states. The voters here are insane, absolutely insane.
