Russia's foreign ministry added that there is no alternative to a diplomatic resolution to the crisis.

Russia and Iran are deepening bilateral ties, including defense cooperation. In another diplomatic engagement, British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband met with Iranian foreign minister Arbasa Rackchi. Iranian President Masaud Pasekian reported that he recently met with supreme leader Majtaba Khamenei, describing him as healthy and actively providing direction to the Iranian leadership. Pasekian also stated Iran's willingness to move forward with a peace agreement, and asserted that Iran does not seek war, but will respond defensively. He added that Iran is willing to dilute its highly enriched uranium, citing religious decrees against weapons of mass destruction, and attributed difficulties with IAEA inspections since 2025 to U.S. military activity.

Turning to domestic matters, former prime minister Naftarli Bennett was present at a restaurant in Bnei Brock when a disturbance broke out. Prime Minister Netanyahu emphasized the importance of these ties
