Stop in this Labor Day weekend to celebrate 35 years of Bob's Discount Furniture. And Seiquan Barkley takes it the distance on the first offensive play of the championship game that gets the commanders two years ago. He owed the place you could hear how loud it was. And what stood out to me was the commanders got the ball first, right? They had that really, really long drive. It was like they kept converting four downs, but then Dan Quinn settled for the fuel goal. And that was the moment I knew the commanders were not off. Yes, a wrap. Yeah, because they had been really aggressive on four downs. That's how they got the title game. And I thought the only way they had a chance was if they got a bunch of four downs, a square touchdown. We got conservative. Got conservative. And then we got the ball. And the first play, Seiquan to the house. And it was like, oh, we're going to run him out of the building.
I mean, and they did hear they ran him right out of the goal. That was an awesome time. And all the Commodore fans, they really thought they had a chance. I had friends talking trash about the game. Like, no, y'all didn't have a chance. 36, man, 36 rushes on the day for as a team, 229 yards. And they ran for seven touchdowns. That is the definition of running a team out of the building. That was a great one. Merrill moment number 14, Seiquan to the house. Didn't it feel like you at some point every week? Seiquan was taking one to the house. I've never seen anything like it. He was must see TV. He was must see TV. I think it started after the, what's it? The same game, right? And then that's when he really started. He broke one in the same game. But that's when you really started to see like Seiquan Barkley was with something different, you know, and I think that's where it kind of started. Yeah, he was my CT. Well, I was unbelievable. It's a great Merrill moment. Merrill Live coming up on on September 15th at the Scottish right theater in college. We'll get your tickets at 94wip.com. And you can also get a lot of great experiences at Eagles RadioThon.com, including Monday night football, meet and greet
what our next guest, Jason Kelsey joining us on the midday show. Jason, what's up, man? Joe, how are we doing? Doing great, Jason. How you been? Man, I'm doing great. I've had a nice little downtime here. I've been with the family of bunch going to head down to the shore for one last rod and then football is back. Well, it's time. Come on now. Let's go. So what does it look like going down to the shore, Jason, when it's just you and you're not jumping in a full vat of Cheetos or something like that? What does that look like? Well, a lot of it is either doing umpobiles in the morning, starting it off with some maybe some breakfast sandwiches from this is bristles. There's, you know, we hit all the local spots, shore break, you know, ice cream. I lost a lot of weight when I retired and got down to 260 and I'm already back up to 280 and it's not a good 280 hue. The summer and kids and everything. It's been it's been awesome, but it's not been great
for the gut. That's for sure. I'll tell you what, though, man, at at at at 55 to see 260 or 280, that's that's love. Okay, there we go. Plus ice cream doesn't count when it's with your kids. Yeah, he just has as much as you want. Yeah, yeah, you have as much as you want. Jason, we're excited to talk to you and excited to talk about your thoughts on this Eagle season to come. But first, let's talk about your item in the Eagles radio thon, which the bidding continues to go up here. So Monday night football meet and greet with you. It's a cool one. It's for the Monday night game against the Dallas Cowboys on October 26. So someone's going to get to meet you. Side line pass. Tell us about it and what people get to do with you because you would be here obviously with Monday night football. Well, we'll be here with Monday night football. So you get to see, you know, all the guys that are on that show as well as get to see how everything happens behind the scenes. And then on top, I mean, freaking cowboy. This is the biggest game of the year every year on Monday night. Prime time. It's going to be awesome. I can't wait. I can't wait for the game in general. Obviously a lot of
noise around Dallas people high on the Cowboys. It's going to be a really awesome game to be able to do this at. And yeah, it's obviously goes the raise a bunch of money for a great cause. So really excited to put this item up there and to ask some fun. What got you know, I was about to ask. So you get to hang out with you and kind of see a little bit how they make the donuts, D&H at the the pre game show. That's right. That's right. You'll get to see, well, this year now we have you got Pat McAfee on it. Jason McCordy, my man Swagu, Marcus Spears, Scott and Pell. So it'll be a fun deal, especially like, you know, you'll be down there when players are coming out on the field. So it's going to be a good behind the scenes access, not just to the show, but to see the game from a different perspective as well. You know what, Jason, I'm kind of curious because you're still around that Eagles a whole lot, right? And you're doing the money night shows
and everything. How hard is it for you sometimes? Cause I know you know everybody. There's a lot of guys you still play with. I'm kind of curious. How hard is it for you sometimes to be super critical when you're watching and you might see like, say for instance, if you see Lane mess up or somebody like that or you see when BG was out there, you see him mess up. How hard is it for you to be super critical when you see plays like that? I think that in general, you can never be worried about somebody being mad if you're being honest. I think that the reality is you can be honest and you can do it in a way like most players won't be mad if it's an honest assessment. If it's set in a way that isn't disrespectful. You mean like Colin, like, like, say if you're calling the owner like GM, a big fat liar like Jody. I didn't say big fat liar. I just called how we're big fat. I didn't say big fat you you're adding to it. I just said it in bite. Go ahead Jay. Yeah, I think you can give your honest taking assessment on things without you know,
launching into ways that might be disrespectful. And that's kind of just what you're thinking about. Especially, I mean, in general, you're thinking about that, but you want to make sure with guys that you're friends with, you know, it's my job to report on these things honestly. So like, obviously the offensive line was not good last year. Landon Dickerson and him, Jervins were hurt, but they were a big reason the offense struggled. And those are all still my guys. I love those guys, but I have to be honest when I'm talking about that. But I don't have to do, you know, exploatives and and go into, you know, hyperbolic statements that start to become disrespectful by nature. So I think of that kind of the way you're navigating that you. Jason, you mentioned the offensive line and I think you're the right person to ask about the transition and just what you think of this new offense. And you haven't seen it yet with the Eagles. We none of us have, but we've seen it around the league, right? It's become probably the primary offense a lot. Most teams run this kind of Shanahan McVey type of system. Your thought on the Eagles move to it. What you expect? And specifically the offensive line, do you think this is
going to benefit guys like Jordan Milotta, Lane Johnson, Dickerson, all great players in the old scheme that you ran a lot. How do you think they're going to do in this new one and your thoughts on this offense? Yeah, I think a lot to unpacked. I'll start with this. I'm very excited to watch this offense. I think this is an offense that I enjoy watching and have enjoyed watching for a number of years. I love the way they utilize motions and and how the run marries up at the play actions and the boots and the misdirection plays. It's a very fun offense to take in as someone who appreciates football. I think that this offensive line in particular has a number of guys that will excel at it. Like I think in this offense in the past, you know, when originated in Denver with Gary Kubiak and Mike Shanahan to what it is now, a lot of it has been with athletic offensive linemen. Imagine you finally have a free day out on the town. You're about to enjoy nice lunch when you get the alert that a window's been broken at home and your miles away. These are the wake-up
calls that remind us in one second, everything can change. ADT security systems are built for those moments. They help keep your home safer with 24-7 monitoring. Their systems are professionally installed by train technicians so you can trust them to watch out for your home from day one. ADT has the most company operated monitoring centers in the industry and the ADT Plus app lets you keep tabs on your home from anywhere you have service. You'll get the alerts that matter about your home safety. Don't wait to prepare your home for an emergency. When every second counts, count on ADT. Visit ADT.com. That's ADT.com or call 1-800-ADT-ASAP. That's 1-800-ADT-ASAP. I'm Hannah. I've lost 75 pounds in 20 months with GOP once plus diet and exercise. On row, I've gone from struggling to run a mile to running farther every day. You can access FDA-approved GLP ones online. Get the support you need to reach your weight loss goals. Go to row.co-slash-weight

Our ex only. To stay informed about serious side effects, go to row.co-slash-safety. Can you believe Bob's Discount Furniture opened 35 years ago? Back in 1991, land lines ruled the day. You could not binge watch your favorite shows and podcasts were science fiction. A lot has changed since then. But Bob's is still doing things the Bob's way, bringing you top tier style and features at 90's era prices. Need to kick back? The Sedona Power Reclining Sofa is the ultimate relaxation station packed with genuine leather, power recline, built-in charging, cup holders, and Bob a pedic seating for just $12.99. You can even pair it with a matching love seat and recliner. And if you love hosting, the homeworks dining set is built for summer parties

It features a trendy, reated design, USB ports, felt-line drawers, and three gorgeous finishes at only $250 per piece. Stop in this Labor Day weekend to celebrate 35 years of Bob's discount furniture. Eagles have a very athletic offensive line, especially in key positions at Tackle and Center with Kim Jürgens. I think that they're well suited to run it. I think that they have an offensive line coach who is very experienced in it. They have a play caller who's been a player and a coach in it. I think it's a lot of signs pointing to I think the offensive line is going to perform very well in it. The one campaign is just stay healthy, right? That's the main reason the offensive line struggle last year. That's the main reason the run game struggled is because of the injuries. So if they stay
healthy and I just don't see why this offensive wouldn't flourish with these guys that they have up front. You know, Jason, I have a question to ask another one and you played offense. And I was wondering, you were talking about being hyperbolic. And I said to Joe a couple days ago in a four-game setting like on average, I think that this offense could average 28 points a game like on average in four games. When you look at the new offense and the new I said the new offense, is that is that me being too lofty or being too hyperbolic when I think about this offense? I don't know. I mean, the points for game, I don't think it's hyperbolic. It's not a ridiculous thing. I'm saying, okay, what I mean is four game average over four games, not like 28 points a game, but the average. I know what you mean. Yeah. I know exactly what you're saying. And obviously a lot of that's like who you're playing all that. I think that this offense has the ability to put up points. I'm still waiting to see what it looks like. So I'm not going to make that statement. I still want to see what Jaylin looks like in it. I want to see what Charmagne is going to do, right? Like they've been very
guarded and what they've done in the preseason. I still want to see what all the pieces look like executing this on game day. I have high expectations. I have a confidence that they're going to go out and do it well. But at the end of the day, I still want to see it. And listen, they're going to have a great individual opponent to start it off with. Washington's coming in here. There's all this news that they're doing all this Brian Flores stuff now with Dan Quinn in that defense. So it's going to be a very fun game right out the gate to see what these guys have been working on all off season. How they're going to utilize all these pieces and how Jaylin looks under center. And all of that is going to be apparent pretty quickly. Jason Kelsey with us here on the midday show. And of course, Eagles RadioThon.com to bid on Jason's item and meeting great during the Eagles and Cal boys Monday and I football game. And it's great. You get also great tickets to the game sideline pass as well. Jason, earlier you mentioned some of the hype around the Cal boys. I'm curious what you think. And it's funny. You said, you know, be honest and don't worry about the reaction. Well, last week I was on as I was
like, I'm kind of worried about the Cal boys. They look like they've had a great off season. They've added a lot on defense Christian Parker. Obviously was a great coach here with the Eagles under Vick is now there. They look pretty formidable to me, Jason. Look like to me, they're the biggest competition this division. How good do you think the Cal boys are going to be? Yeah. Well, I'll answer it one with I think the Eagles have a good enough roster and have a track record enough that they should not worry about anybody that they play. But I say that with the caveat that I do think the Cal boys have gotten better this off season. I think they're pretty good last year. Offensively, they're fantastic. Right? Like they've every statistical category they did really well in last year. That points for game is high. Jack Prescott, although sometimes Eagles fans don't want to admit is a pretty good quarterback. TD Lamb George Pickens, really good players off its line. They've rebuilt from the era of the Zach Martins and the Tyron Smiths and the Travis Fredericks. They've rebuilt that thing. And the big question mark for them is what the defense is going to be. They get the Schamparker, the
UCP. He's obviously very adept in the back end. What the front's going to look like? I'm anxious to see. They went out and they got when in Williams in the mid season trade, they got Kenny Clark and the that Parsons Neal. So they've added some pieces there. And then the entire off season, the entire I've never seen this. And I don't know how many transactions are made, but every single draft pick in every single free agency acquisition they made this all season was entirely on the defense. I don't know that I've really ever seen that. All just be show one sided. They know they need to get better in that. They've made a lot of they got the Kilo Bounds kid. They've made a lot of investments to try and improve that area. But I gotta think they're going to be better on defense. So yeah, I think they're the number one contender to compete with in the NFC East. I think that the Eagles still to me have the track record of it. The proof of winning these games. So I'm still rolling with the birds. And I can't wait for Monday night in the link to be at that game. And I can't
wait for Thanksgiving Thanksgiving Eagles. Kyle, I mean, come on. I'm looking for now, especially that I want to play in it. I get to eat some turkey and then a little shit. I'm fired up. Let's go. It doesn't get any better than that. Jason, we appreciate a few minutes. They enjoy the final weekend of summer. And we'll be seeing you in talking to you obviously soon with the Eagles. He's a sorry. Thank you, Jason. Have a good one. All right, Julie. Thanks a lot. Thank you. Take care. You got it. There you go. There you go. It's Jason Kelsey there. Eagles RadioThon.com for his his item, which is a cool one. And that's a huge huge that's a big deal, man. You get to meet all the guys, you know, Pat McAfee just he just he blowing up all over the world. He's on every show. They possibly. Yeah. Yeah. The same as kicking NFL. Punter kicker kicker, whatever it was. But you consider punders and kickers the same thing. Yeah. Yeah. I think that's disrespect. Only one only one I respect is David Acres. Wow. We had Jake Elliott on the show yesterday. You might want to track where you just said. Only one I respect is David. Wow. You just said that's a Jake Elliott yesterday when we had him on the show. No, no, no, I'm sick because I was being nice. I was playing nice. Okay. That's great. But I mean, Jake's okay. I mean, but I mean, David Acres is my guy. No, I'm not. Jake's okay is acceptable. But if I say Jalen's okay, I get hit with
through both champion. Jake Elliott. Well, Jalen is. I'm just saying. That's my kicker. I'm just saying that's my kicker. Yeah. You either you have been on that for a while. David, David, maybe my dude. That Cowboys game, by the way, on well, it's a Monday night Cowboys game. It's the night Jeffrey Laurie goes into the Eagles Hall of Fame. It's going to be a lot going on that night, man. And you get to hang out somebody, some lucky participant. Just hang out with Jason Kelsey on the sideline for a little while. And something tells me based on however one thinks and most ever, I feel like everyone we've asked you, Ross Jason, everyone seems to think the Cowboys were pretty good. Right. So that game is going to matter. You heard what he said about that, right? You know, I mean, so y'all can back up off me when I, when I talk about it. Here comes, I told you so. No, I'm just saying because you got you guys just Kelsey. He said it. So you know, he's not, I've noticed this over. There's nothing that he likes more than when a guest validates what he said. I mean, I mean, I don't know if he has that. You hear that? Told you so. I'm just saying it's already new that but like to have a player of his caliber. Yeah.
Well, you know, validate what I'm talking about. I don't fight you on that deck. He's good. Yeah. It just yeah, that just don't come up big in the play. Well, it's just the fantasizing that you did. I didn't fantasize. I was about him as an Eagles uniform. I was it was a what if wins. It was a fantasy. It was a what if wins. I didn't include that one on my book. I didn't think people wanted to read about that. It was a what if wins. Yeah, I have what if yeah, that was nice. All right. Two one five five nine two. 94 94. All right. Coming up. Speaking of why I was going to ex Cowboys. In ex Cowboy always has a lot to say. Micah Parsons. He pretty much validated the Eagles changing their entire offensive soft. You'll hear that next.
