Welcome back to with the first bit.
We're going team by team to build a perfect seven round mock draft
and today breaking down the Miami Dolphins.
Their biggest knees best fits the sleeper fix.
It couldn't make their draft.
I'm Ryan Wilson.
That's former Titan she and Ryan Carthon.
And as always, we're going to get rolling here.
Dolphins fans, let us know in the comments.
Best case scenario you love to see for the dolphins who have since traded
Jaylen Waddle and now have two first round picks.
So this should be a fun little exercise for a team that started slowing
free agency and that got started making a little more moves here.
They have picks number 11 number 30.
They have 11 total picks.
So we'll try to get through these in a non long amount of time.
And they got a quarterback and Malik Willis.
They made some moves along the offense to to Atwell,
Jalen tobert at White receiver.
They got to edge David a job, but it still feels like we're in a mini
rebuild phase here, Ryan.
So let's go first up pick 11.
Well, I mean, you see car no tape is there available for you Jordan
Tyson's available.
Again, just sticking with what we what we have what we know.
I don't think they could they go offensive line here possibly,
but I don't think they will.
And the one thing I want to lean on here because I think it's either
going to be corner or receiver.
Yeah, John, John Eric Sullivan, the dolphins GM, his dad is Jerry
Sullivan, who was a long time wide receiver coach in the national
football league and helped develop a lot of wide receivers.
And if you know anything about the history of Green Bay,
they've been able to find a lot of quality wide receivers,
particularly in that second and third round.
So I don't know that they would necessarily go receiver here,
but if a player like car no tape is available for them at 11,
I think it'd be hard for them to pass up on and especially having a
later pick there will be potentially a corner there that they
could take if they so that's right.
They signed Jamari Sawyer to play right guard to have Austin Jackson
and Patrick Paul pretty much locked up as the starting tackles.
And Aaron Brewer, who I think played for you in Tennessee.
He's there.
And then Jonas have a night last year's second round pick.
I think that the dolphins fans would drive over to our Fort Lardel
studios, I won't give the address and pick it outside.
I'll say if you don't take car and I'll take here.
Chrono tape.
Dr.
didn't even let me give you a chance to for a butt.
All right, we're picked 30 and this is the Jalen Waddle.
Pick from the Broncos.
And again, secondary offensive line edge rush, they do have their
quarter back, but they're any number of directions you can go.
And I know they drafted Kenneth Grant last year along the deep
into the line.
I think they're still room for improvement there.
But dolphins fans may disagree.
What do you think here?
I mean, good car and L and did sell Boston.
I mean, you could.
I see, I see two guys there and you in the face that you're
probably considering.
Yeah, you know one, but I'm gonna go a little bit different here.
Let's just stay true to what what their needs are and where they
should go and let's go.
Yep, that's a good pick.
I was talking about Peter Woods and Kayla Banks.
I know I'm in there.
I just let people know listening and I know they're Kenneth
Grant thing as I mentioned previously, but.
So two things, just immediately caught my eye.
They have Tyrell dots and they have Jordan Brooks.
I see Jacob Rodriguez staring us in the face.
And I see the angel upon staring us in the face.
Yeah, no, that's for me, it was the angel upon Jacob.
Right, Rodriguez and then Armason Thomas.
And Armason Thomas is a great selection.
Chris Johnson, even if you want to go back to back cornerbacks
out of San Diego State.
So this is a great position to be in for this team.
So I'll let you have the final say because you're the GM.
I'm looking at it.
Tyrell, they both play really well last year.
I think Jordan Brooks would be a free agent.
Maybe after the season.
But then we'll talk to the eye track because of the whole town kit.
Brooks's contract is up after 27 season.
Yeah.
Let's go.
Yeah, this is a tough one.
Let's go check up Rodriguez.
Oh, you did it.
All right.
Let's see if one of these highfalutin corners is still there.
Pick 43 and they're all gone.
There's a run on corners.
That's all right, though.
So we have wide receiver DB LB.
So a lot of how many four, four, third round picks here.
Yeah, we can we can make things happen.
Channel rivers are still there.
That's the direction you want to go.
In terms of undersized, but Devon Moore is a, I don't know if you watch a lot of Devon Moore to Florida, but outside physical corner.
I don't think you tie in particularly well, but he plays fast.
I'm not concerned about that.
And he has balls.
Yeah, go back to the top of the list.
Let's
give Malik Willis another weapon at wide receiver, because his wide receiver, of course, is not very good.
Yep.
They signed the two guys that we talked about earlier, two two and Jalen Telebert, but after that.
And even I mean, there's no one number one on the roster right now.
Malik Washington is the, it's a slide.
Yeah, let's, let's go.
Let's go and lodge a Serrat.
Love it. So you have two big targets for Malik.
Both contest the catch guys.
There's no one better in the strap class of back shoulders than Elijah Serrat.
All right, right back on the clock here.
Pick 87.
Pick 87.
So there's some.
Keon Crawford's a.
Keon Crawford, excuse me, is juiced up at rusher out of Auburn, LT Overton is not quite as juiced up, but he plays both the run.
And you can get after a little bit as a, as a nut rusher, Dale and Everett, physical corner ran 438.
Little stiff.
Maybe we'll cover 240.
I was going to say, let's go get some linebacker depth and get Anthony Hill Jr.
Me.
You love you, so my backers.
Hey, man, all right.
Hey, you got to have them.
All right, three picks later.
Back at it.
Three.
So.
Genesis Smith is there as the.
Safety in terms of DB needs.
They traded Minka.
They did sign Lonnie Johnson Jr.
But I don't think he's a long term answer.
Dante Trader Jr.
I thought was a good player at a stand at a Maryland, excuse me.
They still need help in the secondary.
So what do you.
A name that is staring me in the face too.
And.
I don't.
They don't even join a Coleman.
So we know about.
Divine a chance to have Jalen.
Right.
Yeah, that's when I just looked at.
Yeah.
Because Jalen right.
Was.
I would consider.
Was Ali Gordon.
Ray Sean Benny here too.
The deepest of linemen.
Because they need help everywhere.
But Ray Sean Benny.
I'm giving my quick snopsies on him out of Michigan.
And yes, striker.
I love it.
So he plays primarily.
Three technical inside.
Did that 75% of the time.
Six three two ninety eights.
A little undersized.
Long arms.
33 and three eights.
Can play up and down the line.
A line of scrimmage.
Flashes lateral quicks and swim move to beat the win on the
interior.
Tenacious past rusher with high motor.
Place with power and low pads.
Didn't have high sack totals.
Nice to consistently finish pressures.
For sacks or hits.
And I bring that up.
Because that was one of the knocks that you pointed out about
Shamar Stewart last year.
The edge rusher.
Who got.
In the backfield.
He just didn't get home.
But we're talking about.
Late round three here.
Not top 15.
But that would.
That would be.
A guy I would vote for.
If we wanted to.
Continue to.
To help this defense out.
But I'm willing to listen to other offers.
Let me see.
Let me see address.
As a group.
So bar ham still there.
Tariq saps still there.
Mason rager.
The name Tucker your guy out of Western Michigan.
Some I'm assuming that Derek Moore is already gone.
Yeah, I think you're right.
I think he is off the board.
Score down a little bit.
Stryker just in case.
Yeah, he's.
He's.
He's.
Yeah, he's.
He's gone.
Because that's the name.
I don't think we've been hearing enough of that people really like to take.
All right, we got to make a decision.
Let's go back to the best player available.
Derek Moore.
He went was that second round.
Yeah.
All right, let's go.
Let's go back to the to the best player available page.
And.
You got some juice if you're looking for an edge, Roger.
Now I was going to say, let's go.
I'm looking at this group here.
Yeah, let's go.
Let's go.
Let's go.
Kiran Crawford.
Let's do it.
Yeah, we talked a lot about Kendrick.
Fuck, but he planted the opposite side of Kendrick was.
He running.
He can get after it.
He is a high motor.
His high motor comes.
My guy was shot.
Many still there.
And now you could take your.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Unless you want to go like safety with Genesis Smith.
And I'm fine with that too.
See, I hadn't seen Genesis to give a vote.
Yeah.
Let's go.
Ray Sean.
Because the safety class is a little deeper than deep to line.
Striker and we'll circle back and see what's what's available when we pick
again.
I picked 94.
So Justin Jolie is an athletic tide in.
Check injuries.
Your guys there.
And Ryan, we're at pick 130 now.
Oh, sorry.
Thank you.
Yeah.
The fourth round there.
How is Johnson available?
Because the PFF knows what's up.
That's why.
So look.
They have Greg Dulls that you they resigned.
Yeah.
We got to go Jack Andrews.
Over my guy Justin Jolie is a little more athletic.
He's more of a F than a why.
Jolie is.
Yeah.
We got.
I'm going to stay true to my rankings.
All right.
Jack Andrews.
You guys saw that I'm getting big time right here in real time.
And you got Marlene Klein staring in the face.
So we got the edge rush today.
Tucker's still there.
We got the defensive line.
You know what?
We still need help in the secondary.
Let's see cornerbacks and safeties.
Because.
The striker because Devon Mars was a good player at NC State.
I don't want to see what the safeties look like.
So price ox a long corner.
Julia Neil.
We've certainly talked about.
I think that's it.
Yeah.
It's.
He's a guy a man passes a long corner plays outside.
Hey, you're.
You're.
You're.
Your son.
He did.
He is there.
So Lorenzo styles is actually a good player.
Despite.
I know you're in a 428 but his tape was fun to watch because
primarily we talked a lot about his brother.
So you want to go corner safety or somewhere else?
That's look at how many corners have we taken so far?
And they got looking at the depth here and just so you know, in 20 after the 27 season,
they have 10 cornerbacks whose contracts are going to be up and they had a ton this
year too.
Yeah, let's, uh, let's go safety.
All right.
I would vote for either my guy VJ or Bishop Fitzgerald, the other quotation marks corner
at USC opposite Camari Ramsey.
I like Bishop a little bit better than Camari.
I don't like VJ as well.
I know you didn't love VJ.
So I'll give you final say.
So you like Fitzgerald Bob with Nooskey or, uh, yeah, the Michael Taff out of Texas.
I think I have a day three grade on him and I have like a day two day three on Bishop
and VJ have a little higher, but you've seen VJ and Strowman, let's go Bishop Fitzgerald.
And then what is this, because we got two sevens.
Yep, two sevens.
So we can go any direction you want Nick, Nick Baird is a really good football player.
Deep into blind man out of South Carolina.
I don't think he's going to be here in real life to pick two to seven.
And you know, if we're building from the inside out, I would, I'll vote for him with one
of my seventh round picked and you can have the other.
So.
Go ahead.
Go Nick, Nick Baird.
All right.
Let's go Nick Baird.
Move his alignment out of South Carolina, and then bring us home, Ryan.
I don't see anything looking at this.
Let me look at something real quick.
Let's go tailing green.
Love it.
Cause it's not clear.
I believe.
Because it's not clear.
See what he is a quarterback.
There's no need for him to have to go out and play right away with Malik and clean yours.
Absolutely.
Seventh round pick.
So I can't imagine anyone to be angry with that, but you never know the internet is a fickle
beast.
All right, Dolvis fans gives a grade for this draft because the grade that we got to be given
us is a B as in beautiful, but Dolvis fans tell you tell us what you think of the comments
and what you would have done differently, especially with those first two first round
picks.
Maybe there's a player you would have taken that was on the board that we passed on.
Let us know.
Cause I'm curious what you guys think.
And you guys always like to share your opinions and I do appreciate that.
All right.
That's it for this edition.
