The M-O-B gambling podcast on the sports game podcast. Nowwork is brought to you by the SBNF, down the app to get over picks and podcasts for free. And welcome everyone to the M-O-G-N podcast here on the sports game podcast. Nowwork currently Monday afternoon, September 21st, around 5.30 PM Eastern time. I'm Roscaro Chel. Joining my Dylan, we were to break down to the Tuesday card. I know that for work purposes, it was probably a good deal to get the Monday card. These are only three games, but damn that card's awful.
Like what a horrible day of baseball today. But either way, we're here for actual games. We have 16 games on the card, including a double header. So it should be fun. Dylan, I'm guessing you paid no attention to the baseball card today because there's Monday and I football on the game. That only one game half means something. When Blue J's Orioles is the best game on the card, you got problems on your hands. This card is awful. Terrible. Yes. Four out of the six teams. All eliminated. So yeah, only one ball game. All the two that are not eliminated are right now out of it. And they're not actually in a play-up spot right now. So all six with either. No, Toronto has not been good lately. So we'll see. So we'll see. Not eliminated, but right now out. So it could be all six. It's a terrible card, but Tuesday's card should be fun. But as I go with you, what's up? I'm doing all right. Got a double header tomorrow. It's the last week of the regular season. So doing well, can't wait for playoff baseball. That's when it all means something. But Yankees, we're in. I think the last time I spoke to you, you were like, oh, I don't know.
And then they were going to get in. I just didn't want to know. But we didn't hear the judge part. I haven't talked to you in a few days, but judge 10 day IL not looking good. What's wrong with him now? He ended up hurting. He twisted during a swing and he like messed himself up again. So he's done for the year. Corners and reports today from Boone. It's not looking like he's going to play. So. I don't think Stan's going to play either. Likelihood of you getting out of the first round. I mean, I still think they're going to lose the Boston, which was my stance all along. But Boston has not been very good lately. And the Yankees rotation has been nasty. Yeah. I mean, you got chalit or you got coal. You got freed. You got Rodan. I know Rodan is the number four wouldn't apply to the Boston series in round one. But that's still a filthy rotation. The Yankees are in a decent spot to win maybe one series. But are they going to be Tampa? I wouldn't pick him to be Tampa. No, no, no. That's my thing. I was like, I think you have the pitch and at least get out of the Boston series. But once, once you first Tampa, I think then it might be a little downhill.
We'll see what happens in the four game set. But Tampa owns us. 100%. I don't think anything's going to change. My world series picked from about two months ago was Dodger's race and nothing has changed for me. Do you think anybody could catch the Dodgers? I mean, Patrick's 91 and the last 10, they're playing some good baseball coming into the home stretch. Well, I actually am wondering if Milwaukee is half intentionally trying to punt the one seed because it's actually an easier schedule for the two seed. Really? Yeah. If you look at the wild card stuff, you'd face the winner. If you're the two seed, you'd face the winner of Braves or Padres in round two. Except if you're on the brewer side, you'd face the winner of Cubs Phillies. I'd rather face Braves Padres. Yeah, I'm trying to get the map or the bracket real quick. So I could see what you're doing. Nothing has really changed in the bracket for the last month or two besides Cleveland now being a first place team against the White Sox, which I thought they would be. But in the end, all nothing has changed. So you get away with your brother.
Yeah, the two spot. Yeah, because they're two back. And you might not want to face the Phillies or the Cubs and you'd rather face the Braves or the Padres. So I should know. I feel like that path to the NLCS is always Braves, Pirate, Phillies, Pirates and then they have the Cubs are in there somewhere and they always lose in around one around two every time. Exactly. But I mean, if I was asking you, I think it's the biggest challenge to the Dodgers, who would be the brewers. Yeah. The Dodgers should be the every team that comes out of the aisle. I don't know, there are any good ale teams. No, I know. But I don't think Tampa's got enough talent. No. So you think Cleveland wins the, I mean, it's going back and forth right now, but they're playing some good baseball. I think Cleveland to win it when they were four back. So I'm stuck with it. No reason for you to think that they're not going to. I think they're asleep or to win the American link. Really? They have a very good rotation. Like if you're looking at a really weak American link and you're looking at the bottom half as well, it's a hell of a deal for the two C.
Like look at this, look at the bracket right now for the two C. The rays get either the Yankees or the Red Sox and the Guardians, I believe have a buy because the Rangers, the worst division winner right now. So you're playing like the Rangers or the, like, or the white socks right now. Yeah. Like you have a, you have so much easier draws the two C. That's why Cleveland's barely above 100 and they'd be the two C and they're going in general. Most of the year they have been better on the road as well. So I'm saying and they've been there before. And as we've been up and down, but like if your rotation is good, you can beat anybody. Yeah. And maybe Jose carries for a series like who knows, but I mean, Cleveland made to the ALCS, they lost the Yankees with one so to home run. I mean, they've made some deep runs before. Yeah, and they're definitely the hottest team in the A.L. as we speak right now. I mean, they've won five in a row. They're seven and ten in the last. I mean, they're pretty good right now. I think they're playing some good baseball coming to the stretch as well. So yeah, I don't mind, I don't mind Cleveland.
If we're looking for a sleeper, I think Cleveland, I think they're six to one to win the American league right now. I would rather just go for like Dodgers to beat the Guardians instead. Or if you want brewers to beat the Guardians, that's a 60 to one. So there are, I think the Red Sox and Guardians were both 18 to one to win the World Series. Who would you pick? You mean right now? Yeah. At the same price. I think I would take Cleveland. Even if Boston's better, which I think they are, path matters. Like the path really really does matter. By the way, I see Boston at 14. I see Cleveland at 20. Okay. A bit of a difference there. I'd rather have Cleveland. I mean, you have to beat the Yankees then Tampa than whatever compared to a buy in either right now, the Rangers or the White Sox to make the ALCS. Give me Cleveland's path. Yeah. I agree. Do you think you guys catch the raise? Hell no. That's why it's like, yeah, the Yankees lost a couple of games with the Diamondbacks over
the weekend. And I'm like, do somebody ask me what do you care? I'm like, no. Like, we're not catching Tampa anyway. Just keep everyone healthy and we'll go to the wildcard room. Yeah. There's playing out the string at this point. Yankees are going to catch Tampa. No. All right. And yeah, what if they sweep in Tampa? Like stop. They're not winning all four games against Tampa. It does not get an answer. So anyway, I haven't really been reacting much to it recently, but it's football season. Anyway, before you get into the actual games on the card, a reminder, check out the fundraiser we're still doing for Columbia. After the earthquake, go to sports, get boxed comms, such relief to help out today. So moving on into the games here coincidentally, first game on the card double header between the raise and the Yankees. So four game one, we have Martinez taking on Rodon for the pricing here in this one. We have the raise who are currently dogs, the Yankees are minus 130, raise or plus 113, over under seven and a half. Our Rodon's been mainly good the season, not going much distance in his outings, but he
has gone six plus into straight, but he has allowed a total of four earned and his last three starts combined. Martinez, though, is an all star. He's been mainly good this season, great on the road, a 1.998, raise 7 and one on the road. Last two starts, 11 and a third, a two earned runs. I'll ask you a dough and where do you want to start? What are you liking this game? I do like the Yankees here minus 130 here for game one. Like you said, Carlos Rodon has been good ever since coming back, especially at home and Nick Martinez, that's where you want to back him. You mentioned the road numbers as well. I get why the numbers were where it's at. I see a seven and a half. It's really juiced at minus 140 at the blue book. My total came out to 7.1. Maybe a first five under. I just think both of these pictures are going to deal here in the first few innings. It's going to be a nice day in the Bronx tomorrow and it's going to be 11 amount hour winds blowing in. So I don't think we see a lot of runs here. I think it's a low close game here.
So I'll take the Yankees. I like the first five under as well. And for the second game, I usually don't like to back the same team twice. So if anything, just think based on pure value, you mentioned it, the Yankees aren't going to win every game. I think at plus 116, I'll take a stab here with the raise. I liked your Rasmussen, you know, 257 ERA on the road. And I like Smatch free, but you know, oh, it's so, so if you want, I can, I can preview the second game. Yeah, you're good. Yeah, so for the first game, you're going with the Yankees. Yeah, in the under. I'll go with Tampa in this one. I still don't know if the Yankees can actually beat this team. So I'll go with the raise at plus money. I think it's a coin flip though. So give me the plus one and 13. I'm moving on to game two though. Yankees are lying 134, raise or plus 116, over under six and a half for this game. So you said before, Friedman's going for the Yankees. You have Rasmussen going for Tampa, who knows been great. The over under those very low, I get it, but it might be a little bit too low. Fried's been very good, but like I said about, well, we're done.
It's been going a bit more distance lately. Fried 17 last start. First time going into the sixth inning or first time going into the seventh inning actually in months. So it's been a long time, but he's allowed one earned run in five straight starts. He's allowed less than two earned runs in seven straight starts. So he's been great. So is Rasmussen. Yankees killed them though earlier this year, I believe, where he gave up like nine runs. He got destroyed in the drop against the Yankees earlier this season. So maybe they have his number, but I'll ask you though, I believe you said you like Tampa. Yeah. What do you like in this one? Yeah, I like to Rasmussen. Just like how, you know, the Yankees got to Rasmussen, the race also got to Max Fried earlier in the year as well. So I do think both of them could just cancel out. I just like the bullpen here for the race behind you, behind Drew Rasmussen. And I just think they're going to be able to split it. You tip of Bay's good. And you know, Yankees, they've lost three of their last four and offensively. They've kind of summer down just a little.
You mentioned against Arizona series. So yeah, I do like the race here just for the value. I think at plus one 16, I agree Yankees should be favored here, but I think it's a little overpriced here, especially in the second game. So yeah, I would take the race here in game two. Yeah, I'm going Tampa again. I'm my logic simple, even if they end up splitting. Guess what? I make money because they're plus one 13, they're plus one 16. So if the race been one of these two games, I'm profitable. So that's where that's how I'm looking at it. I didn't mind the over in this game. I get free. It's been great. But he said Tampa's gone to him. Yankees have gone to Rasmussen before six and a half. Pretty low. You also have to wonder about the bullpen usage in game one. We'll see how that works out. But I didn't mind the over at six and a half. Does feel a bit low for this one, but I'll go Tampa in both games. Moving on to the blue Jays taking on the Orioles, one of the only teams that are playing tonight, ironically, Rainbow Light. So that's pretty fun. For this one, though, you have a Schurzer taking on Bassett. For the pricing here, we know that both teams aren't very good, but right now the Orioles are two games back of Toronto.
They could play spoiler if they want to. Both of them are minus 120. Toronto's plus 102, over under seven and a half. Schurzer's been a bad all year, six plus the array. Better, I should say up and down lately, one earned, six earned, three earned, no earn. So kind of up and down better than he was, but still not consistent enough. Bassett has been good lately. Last two starts 11 and two thirds, three earned runs. So Bassett's been better and Schurzer has been up and down. I mean, I don't trust either team. So I don't know if I'm interested in really betting the series at all, because it feels like looking in a mirror, I think both teams are kind of the same. But I'll ask you, Dylan, any faults on the side of the seven and a half total? Yeah, no, no opinion here on the side. I don't want to back either club. I like the over seven and a half. My total came out to 8.4. Bassett has looked a little better as of late, but you mentioned it. I don't think we could trust Max Schurzer. He got smoked, I think like last start, maybe two starts to go against Baltimore. So I think Baltimore is going to have their way here with him at home.
Blue Jays, because of how bad I think their bullpen is, over is eight and two towards the over in their last 10. Don't trust either bullpen. I do think the blue Jays will get a few off of Bassett as well. So yeah, I think we see some runs. Don't care who wins, but I do think we'll see some runs over seven and a half. Yeah, I'm with you. I'm shocked to seven and a half. I figured with these two pictures it'd probably be eight or eight and a half. I'm with you on the over. Maybe it's going to be a lock of mine, who knows. But it's right now I'm considering it. That total does feel pretty well. I'm moving on to the next game. You have the brewers taking on the Phillies. You may take on a Wheeler for the pricing here. Phillies are lying. They're laying 139. Brewers are plus 120, over under seven and a half. So Milwaukee's going for a hundred wins. First time in franchise history. They're at 98 right now. Sweep the Orioles over the weekend. Nice win there. Or as you'd say, nice sweep over there. As for Phillie, I mean, they're not going to catch Edelanta, but they're fighting for the Wallachar spot. Because suddenly they're in a bit of a race. So we'll see if they get in.
In fact, the seeding is still up for grabs. I believe all three teams were tied for the Wallachar spots. As you have the Phillies who are six back right now with Atlanta, that's a done deal. That's not going to happen. Phillie right now is four games ahead of Arizona. But they're in the last Wallachar spot right now. They're game behind the Padres and the Cubs. So they can still fight for seeding if they want to. I'm not sure if they care, but that's an argument once again. I mean, I'm in back, so I'm saying. So they haven't clenched a spot yet, but four games you probably feel decent about with about six to go, but you have not clenched yet. From Milwaukee, you're just going for a franchise record and wins and in theory, home field throughout. But I said earlier, you might want to be the second seed because your path might be easier to the CS. So we'll see what happens, but we know we will has been better than May. We will, we know has been great all year. But you think the Phillies should be lying this number and more importantly, do you want to lay this number with the Phillies? No, I don't. I only made the Phillies of minus 125 favorite here. Minus 142 minus 145, I'm seeing it's a little price.
I probably would take the brewers just based on value. But I also saw earlier, maybe it's a little chalky, but chalk look around. I saw an over seven at minus 120. I didn't mind that. My total came out to a flat eight. I just think the Phillies are going to be able to get to dust and may I just don't think he's good from being honest. Yeah, they win a lot of his games because it's the brewers. But you know, he has given up three in his last one to the Orioles. He pitched six scores, but it was against the red. The Rangers were able to get to him. See, Adel scored seven off of him as well. So I do think we're going to see some runs here. And I just think Zach Wheeler's been dominant. I mean, you look at his last few games against teams like Astros, Washington, the Braves who could hit no more than two runs given up in four straight. So I just think it's going to be a hard time for the brewers here early on at least. So maybe first five Phillies, but I kind of like the over. I think for this game, I'll go for the Phillies first five.
A minus half are on. I'm not going to take him full game because I think this Phillies ball pen is atrocious. So I think that the brewers can come from behind and win this game. But I'll go for the Phillies early. I think that we work in doing enough, as you said, may has not been very good lately. Speaking of one and done teams, I'm not sure Phillies out of the first round. I was going to ask you, what if there's like a total debacle and they don't make the playoffs? I think I'm going to get in, but what do I think? It's going to happen. What can you do? You got an intro manager. They can do fire mattingly for getting thing midseason. I mean, you extend to Torber. He's got 45 homers. You let Suarez walk. Was Ardo got hurt. I mean, what are you really supposed to do? I think the real issue is the Harper contract. Nobody wants to talk about it. I just think Harper is not been that good. He's not good. He's never been good. He's getting asked to play for his face. Yeah. You forced Warburn to a DH spot because Harper can't play the outfield anymore. Also, they're not a good defensive team either. They never are. That was what they never are. They got a rise and they kind of like pumped to the defense.
Harper's been pretty decent to season. He's adding like 270, 28 homers, 85 RBIs. But I don't know if that's enough. I feel like for the amount of money in the length of the contract, I know Harper right now is 33. You still kind of need like the 35 and 100 from Harper. And you just haven't gotten that for years. What does Adam say about it? Because I know he's a fairly guy. Do you guys talk about him or not? Not that often. I think Adam's realistic. You know this team isn't really going anywhere. I'm going to ask you a question though. Please. You know the last time Harper had 100 plus RBIs in his season. 20. Once again, he's won multiple MVP's 2019. That is correct. Yeah. In fact, he has not had more than 87 RBIs since 2019. He should get past that because we got six games left. And he's 85 right now. Oh, man. But you're paying a lot of money for a guy who's basically walking into like 30 and 85.
Who's the best player on that team? Can we include pitchers or no? No. And sure. Sure. And he only hits. Like that's the only thing that's going to be the most important thing to do. And he only hits. Like that's not good enough. No. And you got to rise to help you with contact, but you sabotaged your defense in the process. So like, does Alex Boom still play for that? Yeah. I think most Filipins don't like him. But I think he's OK. I think him and Stod are fine. Yeah. But I don't know. You look at the Philippines. And it's like I think there are a generic playoff team that's not really going anywhere. And we see it every year. Yeah. And their bullpen's not good. No, never is that in the defense. Never. Yeah. I think Philly might be a one and done. Was Arnold getting hurt? Kills them. Killed them. Yeah. That's brutal. So we'll see. But either way, for this game, I'll go Philly's first five minus a half in this one. Moving on to the Cardinals, taking on the pirates. For this one, you have Polont a taking on Jones. For the pricing here, you have the Pirates who are laying 148.
Cardinals are plus 126 over under 7 and 1 half juice on the under. So Polont has been good to see. And but last time he was not good against the Giants, 5 and a six earned. Before that, though, he was good and back to back starts. However, he has gone five innings exactly in three straight. So probably not much distance of four Polont a since St. Louis playing for nothing. For Jones, he's been very good recently. He had given up no earned in two straight starts. Then he faced Milwaukee, five innings, three runs, nine strike outs. I'm not going to roast him too hard because Milwaukee knows really good. But Jones has been better than Polont a recently. But the pirates are a lot of decent number. So it's a little bit tricky. I didn't mind the under at seven and a half. I think it's a pretty high total. But I'm probably not going to bet this game. It would have been Pittsburgh or Pass on the side, but 148 is too expensive. Yeah. No, I agree. They are the better team that would have won four in a row. They're even though they're eliminated. Both these teams are eliminated right now. I do think Jared Jones has been much better. Yes, you said it is the his last start against the Brewers wasn't the best.
But outside of that, I wasn't even that terrible, though. No, five innings, three earned against the Brewers, nine strike out. He's struck out. Yeah, he's struck out nine. Yeah, exactly. So it's all perspective, but I like Pallon. I do. It just recently hasn't been the best. But minus 148 minus 150 is kind of Steve. I see a seven and a half over on bet rivers, surprisingly enough. I actually would take the under on that maybe a first five under just because I think the first couple of rounds. I don't trust this car nose, a bullpen at all. So I probably take the first five under if anything. Yeah, I don't mind that either. A moving on to the next game, Nationals take on the Tigers. I mean, this series means nothing for everyone involved. But for this game, you have Kent taking on Anderson for the pricing. Tigers are laying 159. Nationals are plus 138 over under eight and a half. So Detroit's been playing OK recently. Anderson's been fine. He's allowed four earned in his last four starts combined. So not too shabby. Kent does mainly not been good. Kent does an E-R-A. He's actually been pretty terrible.
E-R-A over eight on the road. 6.4 E-R-A. He's allowed 11 earned in his last three starts combined. He's just not very good. So the problem is the Tigers were laying a massive number and the game doesn't mean anything. But you know what? Give me Tigers minus one and a half plus 142. I don't mind Anderson. Nationals bullpen stinks. Kent goes no distance anyway. Andy stinks. I don't mind the spot for Detroit. Give me a plus 142. Yeah, that's the same thing I am Detroit all the way. You can't back Jackson Ken. He's terrible. He's home war on the road. I mean, small sample size, but oh, he's war on the road. Oh, A plus a year in the road, I just can't take. I can't do that. 882. I mean, he's giving up three plus runs in every start besides one. And honestly, as of late, the Tigers have actually been swinging a good bat. I know they've been losing, but they've been putting up some runs. So yeah, I don't mind them here against the Nationals. He doesn't go long like you mentioned, bullpen's terrible. Plus 142.
I will take that all day. Yeah, minus one and a half. Maybe they'll blow them out. Who knows? Moving on will do one more. Moving on to the Guardians take on the Red Sox, which is a very interesting series. We just talked about both of them potentially winning the pennant. So we'll see what happens. But it's going to be disgusting though when Boston ends up with a better record than Cleveland. And Cleveland gets a buy in the first round. It's going to be disgusting. It's going to happen. But keep that in mind. For the records right now, Boston, by the way, is three games better. So yeah, Boston might be traveling to Cleveland at some point in the series. But in theory, Cleveland would have host the series with Boston having the better record. So yeah, that's a possibility too. But anyway, for this matchup, you have Messick taking on Toly, battle of good or left these on the mound for the actual price. You have the Red Sox laying 127. Guardians are plus 110 over under six and a half in this game. So look, for this one, we know Cleveland's been good lately. They came back and they beat the White Sox in the final two games.
I'm not even going to count the A's series. That's just three free wins on the schedule because the A's are awful. So that's a three three game sweep for them. Boston has been, how do you describe Boston lately up and down? Rolla coaster. Yeah, that's kind of exactly right. They are four and four in the last eight. They're four and seven in the last 11. So mainly, besides the massive hot strip that went on for about a month and a half, they've not been good for basically the rest of the season. But we know Toly's been very good. We know Messick's been good. Fun matchup. Low total though. What are your thoughts on this game? I mean, I got to go with the dog here. Plus 123 for the Guardians and Parker Messick is insane. I know I saw 110. So I guess the price moves a little bit. It's on Bet Rivers. Oh, okay. Cool. So 123. Yeah. You know what my limit is on Bet Rivers? Knowing you what, a couple hundred bucks now. Now $2. What? $2. Why? Because I bet a lot of stuff and they decided we can't handle your action anymore. Did you find another loophole?
No. Well, not really. It was, what was it? College Women's Basketball, I think, at the time? I don't know. You tell me. I think it was College Women's Basketball. Is either that or I was betting on like tennis in the road between the two. Was this the way to England, Clark, Aira? It might have been. But it was either that or it was, I think it was tennis, actually. I was like betting on like tennis winners and like Bet Rivers had very rogue pricing. And they're like, get out of here. So my limit's $2 on there. I tried to place a tennis bet on draft Kings this morning. My limit was $11 on there. So I couldn't bet on there either. Yeah, I'm limited in a bunch of books. That's kind of the story of my life. How do you, you just being so sharp, you get limited? Pretty much. Yeah. There's an expression of count hell for some people intentionally bet really dumb things. Just so, like fight off the scent of being a sharp better. So you basically prevent you from getting limited if you bet on the occasional stupid parlay. Which I do, but I got limited anyway.
But yet, Bet Rivers, $2. Do they limit you in every thing? Like say, it's not tennis. They've got to limit a bet golf. They've got everything. It's $2. I'm limited, $2 on there. I have an $11 limit now on draft Kings. And my bet MGM limit is I think $1.20. So all three books just said we don't want your business anymore. But what are you going to do with that? You can't. What do you mean what do I do with it? I do nothing. I'm not going out of the account. I left like, what else am I supposed to do? So now where do you bet? Like blue book? Blue book sometimes. Blog guy down the street. Look at him. I got it creative. You got to get creative. I'm not the only person. That's another reason why people use like prediction markets. I know response by Calishe, but that's kind of the same idea. Yeah. If you're good at what you do, which I think I am, and you make money, sportsbooks don't want you. Do Vegas, say you go to the Red Rock or a circa, can they limit you as well? A circa doesn't want me to anybody. So like circa is known for like being a very good place
for like high rollers to put down. I'm not even a high roller. I'm just trying to put $100 down and random tennis stuff and they're like, we can't handle it. Like you're too sharp at the sport. It's $100. That's what I'm trying to put down for. I go boost though, Scott. I'd rather get the money down. Yeah, I know. Like, it's not a big deal. I can ask a friend of mine who's not limited to bet for me. I'll just pay them with all the place to bet for me. Like you got to do what you got to do. But some people buy accounts from other people. Yeah. Well, buy accounts and they'll just place bets and you can do it that way. But that's why people use bookies. Have you ever got limited on an offshore? On an offshore no. Okay. I mean, I don't really use many offshore's. Fun fact, somebody stole money out of my bettelon account like a month ago. Really? Clean me out. I had to contact support and they got me, they refunded my account. Wow. So tell me that because I use bettelon line a lot. You might want to use the two-step verification.
I would turn that on. Yeah, I'm about to go do that. But yeah, somebody took, somebody clean me out. Like a month ago. Geez. I didn't have much in there. I had like nine. It's the principle. I had like a grand in there. But yeah, it's the principle. It's the principle. It's the principle. Yeah. They happen in one day, I immediately called it. And then I contact support and they took care of it. So yeah. I got my money back. But yeah, thank God. But that's my experience with offshore. I occasionally use bettelon for poker. That's basically it. You're a big poker guy. My roommate's a lot bigger. Yeah, I know you guys travel. I'm on, he travels like I'll with him. Yeah. You still go. Well, he's more of a cash game guy now. But yeah. I, I'm more of a tournament guy. I love tournament poker. I like the slots. You get free drinks. Yeah. That's why I like pie gal. You get free drinks basically with the game. Yeah. Right. Even most of the time. But no, I like tournament poker more than cash game poker. I'm going to take the Indians here though. Like I said, plus one, 23. I just don't think Tali is the best at home.
You know, 355 ERAs, only around 500. He looked good in his last start, but it was against the Royals. I mean, at home against the Marys, he gave up four runs. The snakes he gave up three runs at home too. And a lot of these games flew over the total. So I don't mind the over. I like Parker Messick. I think he'll do a good job. But I'm taking the dog. I think the, I made the Red Sox in favor, but only a minus one 10. So yeah, I think the values here with Messick. Yeah. I'm with you. I think that it's a coin flip game worst case scenario. So I'll go for the team that's been very good lately at plus one 10. I didn't mind the over. I thought that this total is pretty low. I get it, but Tali's been worse at home. So I don't mind the over, but I'll go for Cleveland as well. Before we get into the other games on the card, or I'm on the Brawl 2 by our sponsor, Check out Edge Boost. Welcome back everyone to the only game on podcast. Finish going through the work. Go into the car time. Move on in to the next game on the slate. Moving on to the reds, taking on the braves. For this one, you have Williamson taking on Richie and Lanta, Clinchn' Apply Off spot. They're about to clinch the division. They have not done so yet. But I believe their magic number is I want to say one. I think if they win one more game, they win the division. They have to lose out and they need and like the fillies need to win out to win the division. But the point is they're going to win the division. It's basically set in stone.
The reds aren't good. So like this doesn't matter at all to them. For the actual pricing, braves are laying 190 and change basically. Braves are laying 184. I see the reds of plus 158, over under 9.5. The champagne fade. I actually don't know if it applies because once again, they don't play today. So there was a day off in between the celebration. And they still haven't clinched the division yet. So I don't actually know if it's a blind fade in the spot. But they don't want to ask you any thoughts. Yeah, I kind of like the under 9.5 here. I told him that it's 9.1. I think the number just got a little too high. Braves they do look much better as of late. I know last couple of weeks they haven't looked the best. But they're starting to win some games. But even in their wins, the under is 4 and 1 in their last five. I don't really trust the reds offense either. They've kind of been non-existent as of late, especially over the weekend. So as long as the reds bullpen doesn't really blow it up, I think we should be good here.
So I'm on the other 9.5. I think the number is just a little too high. The problem is I don't trust Richie or Williamson. So I'm kind of stuck. Williamson's an okay recently, but no, but there's no length. So I don't know if it actually matters. If he goes three innings and he throw in the bullpen, this bullpen stinks. So I don't know if that actually matters too much. But I have no opinion on this game. I'll go for it to land to minus 1.5, I guess. I'm not going to bet this, but I think plus 120 is interesting. But they might consider it a vision. I mean, luckily for them, this game's taking place at the same time, I believe, as the Phillies game, I think. Phillies even play tomorrow. Tomorrow? They play Milwaukee. But the point is, yeah, we talked about that game earlier. No, like 30 minutes before that. Yeah, this game's like half an hour before. So you can't really scoreboard watch. I'll go for it to land to win the division on their own terms. Give me a length of minus 1.5 in this one. Moving on to the next game, give the white socks taking on the royals. For this one, you have a matchup between four of the pitchers.
You have K taking on a Lynch. Four of the pricing, white socks minus 1.12, overunders at 8.5, royals are even money. A Lynch has a pretty decent e-array this season. He's gone five innings exactly in pretty much every start that he's made. That's the ceiling. He goes in no length, but he has only allowed to earn in his last two starts combined. K though has been average this season. Nine and nine, 4.41, he's been okay lately, not great. Last two starts, eight innings three. I should say eight innings five runs. So not exactly that good. White socks have lost four straight that he's made in terms of starts. Damn, this team's falling off a cliff. It's been ugly. It has been consistent. We have the guardians who are once again, one game up in the division, but the white socks bounce back after that debacle against the guardians and they won three to four against the trade. So you know what, nice job rallying the ship or riding the ship. This price feels way too cheap to me. I get it.
Lynch might be better than K, but Lynch goes no distance. The royals stink. And I'm getting minus 1.12 for a playoff team against the royals. I'll go with the white socks. I think even with case struggles recently, they should at least be minus 1.25. So I'll go for the white socks based on price. Yeah, I took them based on the price as well. I made them a minus 1.25 favorite the white socks. Now, I agree. I do think Daniel Lynch is better than KK hasn't looked the best the last few games, but you know, it doesn't really go a lot, a lot of lane for Anthony. So I don't expect him to be out there too, too long. They have started to write the ship a little bit against Detroit offense, especially picked up as well. So yeah, I do like this white socks team. I just, I don't know what the hell happened with them the last two weeks. They just, they were doing so well and then they kind of just regressed a little bit. And I think they should, I should think they should definitely win at minus 1.12 against the royals. They've lost 4 in a row. They just haven't looked good. They're not competitive as well. I mean, the series against the pirates wasn't competitive.
Now they come home. I just don't think this is a good spot for them. I'm telling you right now, if you want to win this division or make a, make a, make a playoff spot, you better win this damn series against Kansas. You have to. You were gifted one of the best opponents possible for this situation. You have to get the job done. You have to. So pressure's on the white socks, but I'll back him here. Give me the white socks of this price. Moving on to the Marlins, taking on the Cubs. For this game, you have a matchup between junk and Gaussman. Cubs are still fighting for seating in the wild card race. Marlins have nothing to play for. You have junk though, who's been fine recently. Going for the recent numbers, he has allowed a, he's been incredible actually. Besides one bad start against the Metz of all teams. He's been great. That Metz start were allowed to eat earned. The only time he's allowed two plus earned runs since July 20th. He's been great for about two and a half months straight. Gaussman though has been very up and down since he joined the Cubs, complete box of chocolate.
Now for the matchup though, Cubs are rolling 208. Marlins are plus 173. Based on what I said about the Marlins, I actually don't mind junk compared to Gaussman and Gaussman's been very, very inconsistent. Yes, the Cubs are better, but minus two dollars in change is insane. For pricing alone, give him the Marlins. I never saw a price. So what are the odds? Cubs are 208. Marlins are plus 173. It's massive. I think the Cubs have arguably the inferior picture based on current form. I think it should be 140. I mean, I only made the Cubs a minus 180. So plus 173. I mean, only a few more cents, but yeah, it's dog or pass. Like you said, outside of that one game, and I'm not, I took offense to the Metz. Orgable game of the year. Yeah, exactly. That was the only game he's really been bad. And like you said for the last month and a half, two months. So yeah, I like the fish here on the road in Kevin Gaussman. I never heard that expression. He's a box of chocolate. For the first comp. Have you never seen Forrest Gump?
I've seen clips. I haven't seen the. Oh, you're killing me out here. You're killing me. I've never seen it. Well, I know as well. Have you seen Shawshank? Yes, Shawshank Redemption. Fun fact, Forrest Gump came up the same exact weekend in Shawshank. Really? You're in theaters at the same time. Who made more? Forrest Gump made more money. Wow. Forrest Gump is like one of the most successful movies ever made in terms of like awards and whatever. Like that movie crushed. They're both great movies. But there's an expression from Forrest Gump. You have to see that movie. Like that's a homework assignment. I actually, like you better see that movie. Like that's crazy. Well, Forrest Gump. Yeah. I got to get it round. Like Shawshank is an incredible movie. I think it might be the best movie ever made. But at least that movie is about a prison. It's depressing. Like there's like, you know, it's a somber overall theme here. Forrest Gump's just a guy who's mentally disabled, who basically like becomes a hero and does a bunch of crazy stuff in the United States. Like Forrest Gump's like a legend. Well, I remember it's a more upbeat movie until the end. I run. Yeah. The ending. Look, I'm just going to tell you how to watch it.
Don't tell me it either way. It's an upbeat movie until the ending. But the point is like Forrest Gump is a, is you have to see that movie. But there's an expression which is like the catch phrase of the movie, which is his bomba from the South, Sally Field's randomly. If you know Sally Fields is. No. Do you remember Mrs. Doubtfire? What is that? Oh my God, man, you're killing me out of here. I know. I'm not a big movie guy. Mrs. Doubtfire, what Robin Williams? What do you do with Williams? I know Robin Williams. All right. I know. Oh God. Okay. Then you're not going to know Sally Fields is anyway. The point is it's kind of like, it's like a water boy theme where it's like you always listen to your mom. Yeah. Like your mom was always right. So Forrest's mom would have sayings throughout the entire movie that he would like say throughout his entire life. And one of them was a life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're going to get because you open a box of chocolates back in the day and it was like a bunch of random different chocolates and you didn't know what was going to be in there. And it's a really horrible expression that doesn't apply nowadays, but it's very popular.
It's like the saying of the movie. So the point is he's very fickle. You don't know what you're going to get from Gowsman. How have you never seen Mrs. Doubtfire or your boy chocolate about this? That's a mean out. No. That's absurd. Last week I just saw Shutter Island for the first. You saw Shutter Island before Forrest Gump. You know, Shutter Island was a great movie too. I saw that on an airplane. It was a good movie, but like that's not really the point. Your movies are completely out of order right now. Forrest Gump should be like your short list number one or number two. Did you see the Godfather? Yes. Okay. That's like a movie that people like I think you have to see. Yeah. So like that's these are classwork. You see good fellows? Yeah, exactly. You see the couple. Okay. Yeah. What else? But you got to see those. Mrs. Doubtfire is like a classic Robin Williams comedy. It's probably like what's the signature Robin Williams comedy? What's the one where he was like a science teacher? Wait, Robin Williams? Yeah.
I mean, Flubber? Yeah. Oh, he saw Flubber and he had an idea. No, I haven't seen that. I haven't seen that either. Have you seen Goodwill Hunting? Oh, that movie hit me hard. Yeah. Okay. So like you've seen a couple of movies here, but like come on. But only recently I just saw Goodwill Hunting. I actually like a few months. Mrs. Doubtfire is a really well made movie. He's getting divorced from Sally Fields and the point is is that he like loses custody of his kids. So he dresses up like a woman and becomes their housekeeper without the mom and without the mom knowing just so we can hang out with his kids. Do you know who's in the chat red? Red. Yeah, he's overseas. He's in Cyprus. Shout out to red. Oh, shout out to him. Super, super chat. Donate a red. Shout out to red. Cyprus, that's beautiful. I have never seen Scarface either. Okay, I'll put it this way. Scarface is a classic mob movie. The truth is I actually don't think the movie is that great. It's iconic because of, you know, it really encapsulates 1980s Miami cocaine era.
Yeah. And like mobster whatever. But in terms of the movie, it's actually not as great as people say it is in my opinion. It's still a classic. You still should see it. Yeah, but I don't think it's as highly, I think it's more highly regarded than it should be. I'll put it that way. There are better, but Chino movies out there. I'll put it that way. I like a glorious bastards. It's a great movie. I think it might be the best turntina movie. It's so it might be. I mean, pulp fictions on TV, pulp and kill Bill. I love to. No, volume one. One. Yeah. No chance. I'm putting two on there over one. One's definitely. There's some, he has some classics. I'm not going to lie. One's definitely better than two. Even reservoir dogs are solid. Never seen that. That's a good movie too. But anyway, yeah. I'm on the fish. Yeah. I think, no, once again, right, it is a classic. It's a 1980s cocaine mobster movie. I'm just saying in terms of other mob movies, I think Godfather's better. I think that Bronx Tales better. I think that good fellows is better. I think they're all better than Scarface. Scarface is iconic, but in terms of the actual movie, something great.
Is the Bronx tale takes place in the Bronx? Yes. I shall watch that since my day. Good movie. I'm the Bronx. Good movie. Yeah. Good mob movie. But anyway, point is you should definitely see Forest Gump and definitely see Mrs. Doubtfire. If we come across any other movies you have not seen, I'll just shout them out as homework assignments or not. But those two are homework assignments. All right. I mean, if you like Robin Williams, we're going to love Mrs. Doubtfire because that's like peak Robin Williams comedy. Yeah. As I get signature movie. Reservoir dogs. Stars. It is a great scene. It's a Bouchemis. It talks about how he doesn't tip waiters and waitresses. Why? Basically, it just says like, I'll do it if I get great service. I'm not blindly going to tip. He basically just roast modern tip culture. And the movie came out in like 1990. Isn't it like a thing? He has a point on it. I was going to say does he have a point? He has a point. The argument is like, that's how restaurants are like, I'm not going to add to a full tip culture issue, but the issue is, and it's why it's not that big in Europe, the restaurants could just pay the servers more. They get around it by basically saying to get paid for commission.
But suddenly, you're on the hook for paying the server instead of the restaurant doing it. That's the entire concept of tip culture. Like he has a point, but it doesn't look great. No. You know, it's not like proper social etiquette, but I think he had a point in the movie, but whatever. I still tip at a common courtesy. But it depends. Yeah. I mean, if I asked for something and they turn the thing around at the table, I'm not tipping. What'd you do? You didn't do anything. I hate you. You know, I'm talking about, yeah, all the time. He put the counter. They're spinning around. He didn't do anything. You just took the order and somebody else was going to make it. Or when you pick up, when it's carry out and they have on the bottom to tip, why would I tip you? Yeah. The host gets a tip now. No, it's one thing that happened. I went to the US Open, brief sites or another word, like we're dragging this episode out. I went to the US Open with a friend of mine. And like I got like a sandwich while it was there. It was a rain delay. I like, was all right. I'll get some food. Perfect time to get some food. I'm going to get this random sandwich. Yeah. My order, spinning around, they pre-made the sandwiches.
Like they were just ready. They had a couple ready, like, you know, sitting there and they just handed it to me. It's like, here we go. And it's like, do you want a tip? I'm like, bro, I got my food in two seconds. Like the food's been sitting there for like 20 minutes. Like, no, I'm not tipping you. Well, I didn't tip you. You didn't do anything. You just took something off the table behind you and just gave it to me. And they got you for that. And they gasped like you and make you think that you're the awful person. Oh, I don't care. You underestimate how little I care. I don't give a shit. No, I don't give a damn. You can give me a death stare all you want. I'm not doing anything. I'll hit him with a nice thank you. I'll be polite and I'll move on with my day. Nothing changes. What if they're like, wow, you're fucking cheap? I'll bounce. I won't go back. What do you want me to say? I'm not going to react accordingly. I'll react accordingly. I got my food, my food, you know, whatever. The secret is you got to make sure they don't see that you tip nothing so they don't spit in your food. That's fair. Once they find out you get your food, then suddenly, you know, you're in the clear. Yeah, exactly. But no, like you have to actually do some serving to get tips. Now, I actually tip well at the bar.
That's fine because I'm sure you're getting multiple drinks. Exactly. And then they're quick with it. Do you tip like, yeah, after each drink or like at the end of the tap? No, I tell the guys that he, because you know, they ask you open or close and I say, not keep it open, but I got you at the end of the night. And they always say, all right. And I always do tip them well. I usually tip them per drink because once they see the first tip, they're more likely to come over if you're not a regular. Yeah, 100%. So that's why I do it for drinking. But yeah, for restaurants and stuff, and you have to actually serve me. If you are just going to turn around a thing and like just have something pre-made, I'm not tipping you anywhere. Because why would I? Why would I? You didn't do any of the effort. The worst is like, if you go to chilies and everything's on that little computer. I'm going to rate it flatbread, by the way. I like chilies. I love chilies. I do. I just discovered it this year. They're good. No. They used to be like, they were dying and they reinvented the menu and they were like, they've been on fire for the last couple of years. The triple stacker, what up? Oh my God, it's fire. Anyway, but they have like this little kiosk thing. So you order it and they just have food runners. But yet the guy goes, oh, tip is at the end.
But all you did was walk two feet to deliver my food. Yeah. Also, most of these places pull the tips anyway. Yeah, exactly. F**k. It's like tipping a dealer. It's like you want to find out if you're sharing your tip with the other people or not. You know what? I found out that's fucking crazy because in New Jersey, you have to, there's attendance to pump your gas. Yeah. People get tip that people tip gas attendance. I'm sorry. I'm not doing it. Well, New Jersey, it's required. So I wouldn't tip you because I literally don't have a choice. You're forcing me to have an attainment to be the gas. I pump my own gas. They hate me when I go get gas because I find it. I thought in New Jersey, you had to let somebody pump it for you. I thought that was a rule. But I go to my little wall, what down there? None of them. I'm saying like, that's a general rule. What you have. You do. And they look at you different. But I made friends with the gas attendance in wall. So they let me pump it. Sometimes there's a net case because you're literally required to use their service. Yeah. You're being basically blackmailed into using them to pump your gas. Yeah, we got off topic for tipping. I mean, it's a topic that's important.
It is. It's an important topic. People tip when they win big earnings to at the book, don't they? There's a whole separate topic of etiquette. And you actually hit a jackpot on a slot machine. Or I would say if you even hit it in like an ultimate Texas hold-em game or something, like do you tip the dealer? And the argument for like, for example, blackjack is, well, yeah, the dealer ended up dealing all the cars, dealers doing like all the work, whatever. Except most things are machines now. So like, for example, PyGal has a progressive jackpot. If you get like a six-carter or seven-car straight flush, you make like, let's say, $400,000. It's like, should you tip the dealer? And the argument is the dealer, last point I'll make. The argument is the dealer is the one dealing the cards, but everything is pre-shuffled. The dealer is actually shuffling. They put into the machine, then he just hands the cards out to different people. He actually does nothing.
So it's like, do you actually tip him or not? People would argue for cards, yes, because he's still taking the time to do the work with you. So that way you tip him. And then you have slot machine people who want to tip the attendance for counting out your money. Fuck that. I think counting out the money is required when you're literally spending your own money at the damn place. I think you should not tip on slot jackpots. No. Keep your money. No. If you want to argue for card games, I see that. I can understand that. Yeah. For a slot machine, you're the one pressing the button. Yeah, fuck that. I don't agree with that at all. No, no. Yeah, like if I win like 400,000 on blackjack, I'll tip the guy. But that's for a card. If you're in a slot machine winning slot, I'm not keeping you for counting out my $400,000 when you're required to count out my $400,000. Zero. I will give you zero. You're required to pay me out. Why would I be paying you for counting me out? That's your job. You're getting paid. It's the clock. Sky, it's the culture. Everyone wants money, but no one wants to work. Pretty much. And they want to get paid for doing their own job. Like that's insane.
For card stuff I get. For slot machine, you're out of your mind. There's no chance I'm tipping you for counting out my slot winnings. That's insane. Yeah. Yeah, right saying, I don't count. I don't tip the ATM for giving me my money. Exactly right. If you're a money and I need it now, you ever see that? Yeah, I had a structure settlement. I need cash now. That's what I'm saying. Like it's my money. I need it now. That's what I'm saying. I'm not tipping for a slot machine jackpot. That's insane. J.G. Wetworth. If you want to buy it. I like video poker. Video poker people give you a hard time for it. I'm like, you're the one clicking the buttons. Yeah. Nobody else is doing anything. I'm buying myself a solo venture. Is it bad? I don't know how to play poker. Oh no, you don't really have to. Yeah. That's your homework assignment after four or so. No, no, no. Take too much time. If you don't want to actually play poker, that's fine. Like, some movies are just like classic pop culture. So I'll take two hours. Poker's going to take a while for you to learn. You go learn the rules, but you got to actually learn how to play it. And that could, that's a trial and error type. Yeah. I don't want to play with you and your friends. You'll fucking take my money.
I'm not playing with you guys. My friend actually does register in WSOP tournaments and whatever. I don't. I try to play the world's series of poker. Yeah, he plays like, he tries to play some like official circuit tournaments and stuff like that. A couple hundred buy-ins. He's going to like catch games. He's doing all this stuff. That's pretty cool. Yeah. I'm not, but he's doing all that. But I'm more of an online poker player, but I have not played much recently. I've gone second place in a couple of tournaments though. Made a couple thousand. Do you like the live tables or like the live? For cash, I prefer tournaments online. Okay. I think a lot of tournaments take too long. Yeah. So I think I just like the speed of online tournaments by comparison. But moving on to the Mets, we're going to try to finish this in, I don't even think we can finish this in under an hour. We got like seven games left. You have the Mets taking on the Rangers. So for this one, for the pitching matchup, for the Mets, it really doesn't matter. I would know this team has nothing to play for. To be honest, like the Rangers are playing for something during first place. Let's have Manaya going, Rangers of Gorg going for the prize.
Rangers are about minus one 43, next to a plus one 23 over under seven and a half. What are your thoughts? I mean, I like the Rangers here. It's kind of like a, I almost said a name. It's almost like a Mal play. It's like a unit and a half play. I think to the right side, but I actually like the over seven and a half. If anything, my total came out to 8.5. I think we've been seeing the market just kind of downgrade because it has been getting a little colder out, but you know, I just can't back the under here where Mackenzie Gorg and Sean Manaya on the mound. Sean Manaya has been terrible for the Mets, especially in the month of September. Mackenzie Gorg, he's given up a lot of contact as well. He doesn't go long in the game. So I just see a lot of runs here in this game, but I do think the Rangers are, they have something to play for the Mets do not. So I think the Rangers win. I think we see a higher scoring game in Arlington. So I will take the Rangers and the over. I'm with you on the Rangers. Astros are calling team meetings. They realize that things are kind of falling apart for them.
Texas has been good recently and the Mets are not so much. I'll give you the Rangers as well in this one. Moving on to the next game, Dimebex taking on the Rockies. Dimebex trying to stay in there. Four games back, a filly for that final playoff spot. You have Soroka taking on Freelin. For the pricing, Dimebex minus 188. Rockies are plus 165, over under 10.5. Freelin this season has mainly not been good. Last two starts, seven and two thirds, seven earned. Soroka's been injured recently, came back and since he comes back, he has been mainly up and down. Two starts, nine andnings for earned. So it's a massive number, but any thoughts because Dimebex need these games, but I don't trust him to win these games. So I don't mind the over in this game. That's 10.5. Yeah, that's exactly what I did. I do see 11 starting to pop up on your favorite book, even money. So my total came out to 11.5. I just think with Freelin, how bad he's been at home in Soroka, just think we're going to see a ton of runs and yeah, I took the over. I only made the D-backs of minus 155 favorite.
At this number, I really can't back them. They're not playing good baseball and you would think that a team like that who is still alive that could make the playoffs. You'd be thinking that they're trying their hardest to win every game and it just doesn't seem like that. I know they played the Yankees, but even against that series against the fish before that, where was their offense? It just was nonexistent. You expect them to play some desperate baseball, but they just haven't. So I kind of like the over if anything. I don't trust either side. Yeah, I think I'm with you. I'll go with the over as well. Moving on to the Angels, take on the athletics for this one. You have a matchup that really doesn't matter at all. Azerling 110, Angels are plus or a minus 104, over on the nine to half. Pishing matchup, you have bass, so taking on Kikuchi. I don't only care. I'll go over, but any thoughts? Yeah, this game is terrible. I don't want to back either side. It's another game where I just don't want to back either side. They both quit on the season.
Athletics, they've lost five in a row. Angels, they've lost three. Have their last five, but they're 26 and 49 away. If anything over, I mean, the overs have been profitable in Sacramento, 44 and 29 on the year, over nine and a half. I told him out to 10.4, so I think we'll see some over. But yeah, I know it's a game I'm not going to bet. Like all these teams, I would say the last week, if you're going to be betting on teams that are eliminated, I would say tread lightly on or just take the dog. Yeah, 100%. Yeah. Moving on to the next game, Astro taking on the Mariners. I'm Mariners, excuse me. Another another game though. That's like trash. Well, Houston's trying to hang in there. I think I'm still in this division. But you have Havi are taking on Gilbert. Seattle's laying about 150. Sure. 143 Houston plus 126, over under seven and a half. Gilbert has been a warts at home and on the road. Seattle stinks. They're really bad. Gilbert does been pretty good recently. At least he goes length, but I'll go Houston. I'm not laying 140 and change with Seattle.
I can't do it. I'm flexible. I'll go for Houston. Yeah, like you said, take the dog. I mean, I only made them a minus 125 favorite. Minus 140. I get it at home, but Seattle Mariners are not good. I mean, Ashley's aren't playing good either. They've lost four of the last five. Christian Havi air is terrible in my eyes. That's why I like the first five over. You mentioned Gilbert has been a little better, but at home, not good. Christian Havi air, not good either. I'm going to rely on the offense. I know that's scary, but at first five over here for me. Yeah, next game, Twins, Giants, same story. You're Bradley taking on Molina for this one. The Twins are laying 130. Giants are plus 114 over under seven and a half. Bradley's mainly good this season. Molina has been mainly good as well. I don't mind the under in this game. I'll go first five under Giants or pass for plus money, but I don't care. Yeah, honest said, I didn't mind the under. I thought, you know, cutting one offense. I'll just go first five. Yeah, first, yeah, I'll feed. Oh, I'll feed you all. I'll back you here because honestly,
ever since Molina got acquired from Atlanta, he's actually been pretty good outside of that one star against Atlanta. He's actually been pretty good. So he gives him some length as well. I don't mind Molina here. So first five under, yeah, for me as well. I don't mind that. Yeah, and moving on to the last game, Padre's Dodgers for this one, you have a matchup or two teams actually care. Yeah, Dodgers trying to go for home field and the Padre's trying to improve their seating in the wild card race. King taking on Yalmota, good pitching matchup also. Dodgers only one 54 Padre's or plus 125. We have no total. Oh, what are your thoughts? Yeah, I got it back. I'm a yodo here. I know he's better on the road, but I just like him. I think he's been really good this month against, you know, the Reds twice, the Cardinals, but he was great against the Braves, great against the Brewers, like against good teams. I feel like he shows up and delivers even against the one. Both, both starts against the Padre's. One started when six innings only gave up two runs.
They got to win 15 to three, the offense broke out. And then the other one, they lost one nothing, but he went seven innings only gave up one run on three hits. So Yalmota has had really good success here against the Padre's. I don't have a total, but I do think we're going to see a lower scoring game. I'm with you on that one, but I don't have a total. I'm hoping it's like seven and a half. Yeah, I think it'll be like flat seven, five to go. Shit, if they give us a seven and a half, I will take the I think it'll be flat seven. If I had to guess my total came out to seven point two. I don't want to go against it, but I probably would take it under. I like the Dodgers and I take a lower scoring game. Yes, screw it. No run first on it. That's going to wrap it up for all the games in the card time. Move on into our lock and dog and of course, home run picks for that. And welcome back everyone to the MLG and podcast, finish going through all the games in the cards, and move on into the lock and dog picks. Dylan what's going to be your lock and dog for the show? I'm going to take it over seven and a half in that Blue Jays and Orioles game. I mean, we're getting a seven and a half with short, mac sure is a really Chris Bassett. Thank you very much. I will take the over there. As for my dog, I was going to go with the Tigers on the run line at a nice juicy price, but plus 123, I'm going to go with the, with the guardians here. Parker Messick is just a better pitcher. They're the hotter team right now, and they're good on the road. So I'm going to take the better team right now, and I'm going to take the guardian as my dog. Yeah, for me for the lock, I'm going to be the over 10 and a half in that Dimebacks and Rockies game. I just see a bunch of runs.
So Roga's not pitched much lately, and we're in cores and Freelund's been bad. I see runs, we tend to see runs in these head-toed matchups. Give me the over 10 and a half is my lock for the show, minus 125. For the dog, that I want to go for a run line somewhere, or do I go for the raise to win one of these two games? The question is which, because I picked them for both. Instead, I like to Cleveland also, but I'm not going to go for that. You know what, I think at Atlanta, wraps up the division with a bow. Give me the braves minus one and a half at plus 120 as my dog for the show. Moving on to home run picks, Dylan, who's your pick to go yard? My pick to go yard is one sodo against McKenzie Gore. He's going to hit one out. Okay, and my home run pick, if I had to pick one, let me just quickly see these splits here with the lefties and righties. Now, unfortunately, it's not going to work out. Oh, sorry, I'm just trying to find something here. Williamson has housed his home run's numbers been lately.
He allows a bunch of them. So that's probably a good sign for me. Oh, yeah, give me a cune. He had a grand slam the other day. He's swinging pretty hot bat lately. Williamson has given up a decent amount of home runs to write ease this season. By comparison, he's given up five to write ease, three to lefties, and the batting average a lot higher for eighties. Give me a cune, to the bomb as they wrap up the division on Tuesday night. And wrap it up for the show. Have you ignored the intro? We're about an hour. So it's not too bad for the fact that we talked about random stuff for about 35 minutes. But Dylan, anything else you want to add? No, we covered a lot here.
