Well, in the 40s and of 2026 Monday matters for gorilla glue. I think it is. It is still for gorilla glue. They do it better than anyone. They're just gorilla loose in the store. Jolinda Stoop, good afternoon. Hello boys. And Brown like Benny as we're calling today. He's ready to bring the Brown like coverage to us live from the play. I'm Benny Boyk, good afternoon. Great to be here boys. An absolute honor. It's pretty. He's fully suited up already. He's had part of the time. But I thought he just for the show just run with the casual and then change. Well, I'm leaving as soon as it starts. I'm only here for until 730. But yeah, no, this shirt I picked up yesterday boys from came out for $14. And it's sort of a real crispy. What time do the stars start to arrive? I've been told 515 pm they start to rock in. Wow, she's pretty early. You're going to be seated. Yeah, it's a strictly run affair. That's what it is. Right, let's get stuck into it for gorilla glue Monday.
Mattis Hawley over to you. Now I'm not doing this to start a fight. And it's what I genuinely believed. And I believed it on Saturday. And we've had this out out the back. But it matters that the deliberate against me and not deliberate. The insufficient attempt against Mitch Lewis was paid. Why? Because he had no intent to keep the ball in. The ball was coming to me. I'm so nervous. He didn't ever had his hands like that. He's hands were poured straight at the boundary. It was no attempt to actually grab the football. He knew what he was doing. And the umpire got it spot on. Was there and it was there and there was no intent for the... You could argue. There was no intent for him to just directly knock the ball out. This is a bouncing ball that could have gone any way. It's got pretty good hands, Mitch Lewis. And it came up and put in good hands. And a very, very weak. Do you think he tried to grab the ball? Do you think they would have made that call if it was the first, second or third quarter? Yep. Well, they've instructed to do. I don't know if it's convinced. I don't know if it's convinced. I just think that could have... It was a 50-50 call under the sort of...
I think it was more than 50. Oh, and all I know, Greg. Do you factor in the time of game and what was going on at the time? You should have been clearly dribbles it along the ground and the best result there. It didn't even kick was brilliant. It was perfect. He just had to grab the ball and he's over the line. Yeah. Grab the ball, get tackled over the line. It's perfect. I think it looked... But I think that... I think that's what he was trying to do. I don't think there was any evidence he tried to grab that ball. Oh, jeez, you must need to get out on a field and see how they're doing. Oh, I don't think they're bouncing. And it's coming out, Jared. It wasn't like he knew exactly where it was going to bounce. I'd like to see you with Harris Andrews up. You're dating from a 97-fans. No, don't say it was easy for him to grab it. But I don't think there was any intent for him to grab the ball. The ball was dribbled along with bouncing it. It was bouncing it all different heights with every bounce. Did you convince he tried to grab that ball? No, but you didn't... No, but I'm not convinced that he didn't. You need to be 100% convinced that he did not try and control the ball. So he didn't have to grab it.
He could have just dropped it down to himself. Yeah. But no rule, it says you have to take possession of the ball. I mean, he was trying to drop it down to himself. He had his hands in the direction of the ball. There's a lot of boundary left. I understand that. But there's... I reckon there was Riggle Runeff for the out-buy. If he wanted to give the player the benefit of the doubt, and he chose not to. I think he got it spot on. Benny? Having a goldfish memory matters, boys. Kyle Omen. Now, it doesn't really seem like this stuff would affect him anyway. That's just the kind of vibe I get from cry. But surely, even he would have known that half way through the second term, in a prelim final, he had not touched the footy. He had not had one disposal. But if he did know, it's an incredible effort to not let that affect him. Because then he goes and kicks one in the back half of that second quarter. He kicks three in the third, and then he kicks the last goal of the game to seal it. So I just thought it was an incredible test and show of mental strength to not let, you know, what was a pretty dirty day for Kyle. Half way through that second term affect him. And he comes out and is probably in the top three players for Brisbane on the day.
No, it's an excellent call from your brownlobe, Benny. No, it was lucky I reckon he'd get the first. We're talking a lot about our priorities here. Oh, yeah, it's interesting one that one. I know there was incidental contact after the sport, but back in the olden days, incidental contact, it was fleeting and was after the act and didn't affect the players' ability to win the football in the first place or in any stage, which it didn't. It wasn't as that was at weddle or by the way. It wasn't like McDonald dragged him down after the sport. It was just the slightest little brush after a magnificent, yeah. So I thought he was stiff as, but in any way. 53 goals this year, Kyle. He's had a good year. 53-26, so he's a good finisher to him. But the point you make is very valid that not all players can put that to one side and just make it like it's a very good point to win. It is. And I'm saying, brownlobe, Benny, it's spot on. Well, it's great that you bring that to the table. Thanks, Captain. It's matters that if you're going to have a rule that it's applied appropriately.
And if you've got a rule that says that there are exceptional and compelling circumstances, someone who's played 320 games and has never been reported. A couple of challenges. Then has an incident which we all agree is on the minor scale of things. Medium impact it automatically is greater than medium, even though it might actually be soft or low. Medium impact. And on that basis, I think lucky Neil gets off. And he should get off if they are the rules. So if he doesn't get off, then the, you might as well throw out the exceptional and compelling circumstances. 100%. Because that is the rule. And this is a perfect example of when it should be applied. In an incident that I think we all have supported the fact that we don't like the little cheeky, little jumper punches and the punches in the little gut punches. And everyone says, well, throughout the course of the season, there's been quite a few examples of this.
And they've all got their week. Nine of them. Three bucks have gone. And I don't think any of us would complain about what the outcomes have been in those zones. And even with the six that got suspended. But on this particular, if they're going to argue and you're going to have a rule that says there are exceptional, compelling circumstances, then he has to get off and should get off. If that does, in fact, the rule, they've got two shots at this. They can go in and their first argument is they can argue that it was low impact and therefore he's fine. And if that doesn't, if they disagree with that, what only in matters on this charge though does it? Yeah, even if it's low, you know, get fined. It'll be fine. So be free to play. But the act is automatically graded as medium. No, it's not because there's been three players this year that have been fined. Yes, but in the way in which it was being reput, when you do this act, it starts as it is always great as a medium. Now, when you might be able to go and I should just go in and just go straight to the exceptional circumstances.
Well, I don't know of a more obvious case. I should take 20 seconds. I could have said, I got you. These records are blemished. Well, downgrade this. Thank you very much. The act is different to the Scott Penderbury one that got off on that though, isn't it? Scott Penderbury's was in the play. Yeah, correct. Behind the ball. And that should be taken into account. I felt hate behind the ball of the ball incidents and and. Oh, he's guilty. No, I don't think anyone's going to argue this guilty. It wasn't around arm in a tackle. This was this was 60 meters off the ball. But isn't it total isn't that a total separate argument? If you've got a compelling and exceptional circumstances, dance clause. I just one he is eligible. No, he's downgraded. Yep, I agree. I'm not arguing that I think he is guilty. He's got this guilty. Of course he's guilty. I know that's why I'm saying try and argue that the severity of it. That's that's a tough one. I think he gets off. But the fact you've got this rule in place. That's right. This is a classic example of when the.
It's clear how it would apply. You take 20. How far does that exceptional clause go? Oh, this is what's going about this. If he was to bump someone in the head off the ball knock him out and he's out in concuss. Let's do three times difference. Because three weeks. Yeah, but it doesn't go. It doesn't go. But it wouldn't go three weeks to none. No. No, no, you don't get off. It might be three weeks to two. You might. So it only works if it's a one match band to zero. Well, I think it depends on the incident. And you've got a you've got a context of what you're actually doing. If you've gone out there and done something, you know, you said made a slur or you've done something. That we all say is it completely. Well, then that doesn't apply. This is only for this circumstance. For a minor in this context. A minor in. Yeah. Yeah. A one week band. Don't concussion protocols matter in four. Good point, Andy. Seriously. What happened on the weekend? There was two on the weekend. Why did it was speaking of Lockheed Neil? So why do you need go off and get it get assessed and Oscar McDonald? Why do you need go off and get a seat?
I actually watched Oscar McDonald really close to go. I thought, oh, that doesn't look great. And he must say he was concussed. No, he was he was staggering around for a minute. Ran six. They're both off the ground. And there's no no one's even batting in. I'll let about either of them. Hey, Lockheed Neil ran into a brick, Shies and House. Yes. And was clearly, clearly affected by that head high contact with John Eukamp. No, I've not seen he. No worries. 30 seconds later, he's back contesting the 40. I don't know. I don't know what we're doing. I mean, I've got to get better. And the same with Oscar McDonald. Well, just said that. Yeah, yeah, absolutely. That that one was possibly even more severe. Well, just we just said that. No, it's a good, it's a good, it's a good validation. No, I'm just reading. I'm watching. I'm glad you're adding. No, I'm glad you're adding. That this can't be ignored. And there's no, is there been an explanation as to what? No, I'm a blue. Is there a specific rule other than the judgment of the doctors? Well, like, wasn't there an independent? That's what I mean. Wasn't there an independent body that comes in and over rules that the,
yeah, it says, no, no, you must take him off. Tom Edwards was taken off for the bombers up on the go, because he was fine. That's right. That's right. In a tight game. That's right. Yeah, when he's going, he feels like the, the higher the stakes the game. In the more lenient it is. You don't have to wake bugs in the guts and you don't have to come off for HIA. He's no worries. I think it was poor. I couldn't, I just couldn't, I just didn't understand what was going on. Like, Simo was red hot. Simo, Simo, Simo, can't, why isn't he coming off? Yeah, he's spot on. Why? Well, I don't know. No, I don't know. We don't know why didn't come off. Should have, should have. Anyway, anyway. Just a quick one, a lot of talk about, you know, and right rightly so, Hayden Young's goal was a turning point in that game. But I reckon the move that Justin Longmeer made halfway through the third corner. To send Shay Bolton deep forward was massive because their bolt was playing well. He was getting clearance. But the way they were kicking the ball inside 50, they weren't giving their big blokes much of a chance to be honest, even though they weren't great. But the last quarter and a half, he was so impactful. So phenomenal. So kick two goals just was everywhere.
And they needed someone up forward to do something. And he was the man that got the job done. And what makes him such a dangerous player? Brown, you're a big watcher of the big boys. In the three-manal forward half. I don't know where anyone's got him as a matter at this stage. But the pony's bobbing up doing a bit here and a bit there. But the others are a bit warm, aren't they? Big Josh Tracey hasn't had the best following series. Oh, he's really. He's a double grabber. Yeah. Yes, yes. Over to you, Brown Loan. I've got one here. Thank you. Did it matter that Nick Watson appeared to mock Charlie Cameron's goal celebration? Did you see that? I've seen a few people that the old motorbike. Yeah, I've seen a few people calling me out for that. Not for me. That's Nick Watson. What does it matter? Does it matter if you get a mock someone? I'll make sure the game's over. Is this a suggestion? But if that's the, if it, that's the no, but what he's doing is... I am so angry at our office earlier today, we're saying that didn't like what the big frame
out of Ruckman was doing with Brody Grundy in the game. I don't remember who it was. It said that, but... No, I can't. I remember someone saying... I do remember, though, when it was... Oh, the next Nick Watson. I can't. I do remember... No, I do remember when it was discussed that I said, well, actually, I think it might have been... They've got this history together and it might have been a little... I was in you. No, that's right. It was you. So what do you got to be like this? We're all having a good time here. We've seen a cup of plain, a cracking, wicking, a footy, and basketball, and basketball. Yeah. And now you're just trying to ruin it forever. No, I'm just having a bit of fun. Just on Nick Watson, imagine if you said five years ago, in the next five years, Hawthorne, they'll find a better small fold in Cyril Rielli. Yeah, ridiculous. He's gonna be better. He's gonna be better. Brilliant recruiting by Hawthorne. I am. I'm willing to say... Right, I'm going to spot on. And I'm not going to see what this guy is. He's finished. I'm willing to put my hand up that when the draft was there, and you know nothing about him, but then when you see the dimensions of the draft...
You were Robinson Crusoe, and Finn. And in the first few games where he missed a couple of ones that these days would be... He seems to know, I'm thinking, oh, gonna be a good addition, but is he gonna be worthy of that... Fifth pick. Yes, he is. He's actually worthy of those. No, you were? So Mike Scheeam was still doing his top 50. So at the start of next year, every player out there best. Where would Nick Watson be? Oh, that's a very fine question from you, Julio. He's in the top five players in the competition. Top five? Yeah, I think so. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, it has to be. Has to be. Has to be. I'm in the top five players in the competition. So is he better player than Luke Jackson? He's not better than Daco. He's not better than Daco. He's not better than Luke Jackson. Is he better than Luke Jackson? Poor. He's a slime ball. He's a better than Luke Jackson. Lime ball. I would pick him before Luke Jackson. No, you wouldn't. You're only saying that. I'll rate small four. You know I'll rate small fours. More than rock and roll.
Can you take him in the four line? Can we just go away with this? Oh, good point. As soon as someone starts out of any sort of ability up forward, it's all. But imagine what he'd look like in the midfield. No, not this bike. We only have the odd position. No, just the pinch hit in the center square. I think they've got the ball. Very nice. You can have one CBA quarter, but I'm just saying that I don't think there has been much talk about converting him into a full time midfield. No. Would you take a ride, Hank? I don't want to. Oh, what's it? You're taking a what's it before, Hank? I remember sent. Every second time he touches the ball, this bike, something is a score. Yeah. He does the freaky, freaky, real, freaky stuff that you never... I know. I've certainly played. I've certainly played. You're not giving him the credit line. I'm just trying to see where he's talking. Where I've never said that, Gacy. He does it freakishly regularly. Yes. Hawthorne wins again. He's not it. He's not it is. No, really good. Getting great football IQ. The ball. Oh, no, no, dead. That is a good thing. Getting some jump on with the abstinence field. Getting some jump on with the abstinence field. Back for the Mitch Lewis call from someone very close to the program.
No. Good to see a little impartiality. The Hawthorne Mafia is out of control. Oh, that's not fair. We're just trying to make my judgment on the call, whether it was Hawthorne or... So, yeah. ...it didn't happen to free-o player. We'd probably be saying the same thing. I'm not sure about that. No, I like to hear it in a lovely way. Saltburn. He's a fine young man.
