Today on Motor Minute we are talking about a very cool SUV, now bear with me as I mentioned
the title.
The Tata Harrier, now I've never driven a Tata before, this is my first and I must say
I am impressed with this mid-sized diesel SUV.
Now what does it compete with?
It competes with the Hyundai Tucson or the Mahindra Scorpio M, in size and of course the
price.
The Tata Harrier's bold SUV stands is commanding road presence and it makes it noticeable
in every way you look at it.
Under the hood you got fair power, with the 2.0-litre diesel engine delivering around
170 horsepower.
Now that is paired with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.
This provides solid mid-range pull and competent highway cruising, perfect for overtakes
and family rides.
The handling is stable and confident, absorbing rough surfaces with poise, however some drivers
may find the low-speed ride firm and steering very light.
Inside the Tata Harrier offers a spacious and modern cabin, with a large 12.3-inch touchscreen.
All the normal stuff is there, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Touch and a 10.25-inch digital
cluster and various tech features like adaptive cruise control.
Comfort is generally good for both city drives and longhors and the panoramic sunroof adds
to the premium vibe.
The Harrier boasts a rare 5-star global NCAP safety rating.
The kit includes multiple airbags, ESC, Hildhold and a 360-degree camera.
Now there's so much to praise about this Tata Harrier.
There's mixed reviews from people, but I'm going to say one thing for you.
For a car or should I say an SUV that starts from 549,900, I suggest you test drive the
new Tata Harrier and you may be surprised.
