Last time I bet the Charlotte Hornets on the road. They cashed a nice nice plus 220 dog

for me. Yes, they've had a minor setback. It's to be expected. It seems not perfect. But I

mean, I'm I'm getting to watch the most interesting team of basketball played basketball.

Like I am just genuinely like locked into Hornets games. And plus this is good to see like

actual good basketball being played and not whatever the New York Dicks did. In the most

New York Nick spot, I would like to say of all time to go on the road and beat Denver.

A team of the quality that Denver is by 39 points and Denver. And then go to LA and

loses like you're seeing no LeBron James. The way they did where hey, there's two guys

you got to stop. Luca Austin Reeves couldn't stop either.

Do you know what the record is without LeBron in the season? What? When Luca and Reeves play

without LeBron, they are nine and two. So a little retirement or congratulations to the

Lakers for adding on to that total. Very, very frustrating. Scotty to rush else got what's

going on. Scotty, be me up.

It feels good to remember all my plays were a last episode, but I remember that I won both.

The trailblazer was plus the points against the rockets they covered by the hook. And I

know. No, no, yes, because I remember that game, yes. I got them because they've Jeremy

Grandfell with one second left, but I got seven and a half. So they ended up covering

and it's 19 and a half in the Tatum return game. And they won by 20. So I won by the hook.

I know people in the comment section last episode were call me out talking about how Tatum

was going to ruin the chemistry of no, but I guess keep going. I'm sorry. Point I'm going

to make is pretty simple. Stop trying to find excuses to bet on tanking teams. Dallas

thinks we know they stink. It's fine. Balls think covered. They won the game easily, but

I understand people are making arguments about Tatum coming back and ruining the chemistry.

There are tanking teams out there. You should never want to back. And Dallas is one of those

teams. So I ended up sweeping can't complain.

Because I haven't gotten to talk about say I'm coming back yet, especially not with

you. Scott Scott, we haven't done this in a while. Like, it's been a minute. Hey, Scott,

how good to see you. It all can look fine and dandy now, but I'm not a doctor. Maybe

we need to get the SGP and doc on the show. And maybe I can ask him a question. Matter of

fact, I might have to make a call and see if we can get Sebastian to come on the show

for a psychosock and ask the question. But it just feels like coming back from an Achilles

tear in that short of time. And then expecting to do exactly what you did before. And not

thinking that like another injury is on the horizon somewhere. It just feels like everything

that I know about injuries tells me that's not supposed to happen. Like you're not like

that's the reason that is the reason why you're not supposed to be playing not because we

think you're going to be some worse player. But because the risk of re injury is extremely

extremely high. A double doubles crazy, by the way. In this first game, back, a double

doubles absurd, which nobody saw coming against Dallas. I mean, he looked great in that game.

Not even just besides the injury return, just in general, he looked very comfortable out

there, which is very good to see a four Celtics fans. And they killed Cleveland today. So

Boston, are they the new team to be in the East? They might be.

I mean, he was playing great last year and he lost to the NICS before he'd be unbeatable.

But I would put them ahead of me now. I think the choice just found just hit their stretch

of games where they're going to lose some games as all teams do. And as soon as they come out

of it, I think Detroit is actually still my team to be. I think when they are locked in, ready to

go, everybody's healthy and they're playing great basketball. Detroit is better than the Boston

Celtics, better than New York NICS. And I think it'd be very, very hard to beat them in the seven

game series, despite the lack of experience. But this scene, that seems to play with an edge right

now. But I'm very, I just hope that over the course of this next, because I think I want to go ahead

and call it a year. If he makes it more than a year, nothing else kind of really, really keeps

him out for 20, 30 games or whatever, like, okay, cool. I could see, I could see, I could see,

but he was really, really healthy. He didn't have any other injury. But I don't know, I don't know.

Everything that tells me, everything that I've known about injuries tells me this is not a great idea.

He should not be playing like basketball and putting that pressure on that leg like that right

now. But hey, he might be okay. He might be fine. And they might get a championship out of it.

Like, I could be completely wrong in Boston. You could be right. Boston could be the same feet.

I just felt like this was very, very rushed. And I don't know why it was rushed.

Well, I mean, we talked about this a couple weeks ago, because you were more skeptical of the idea

of Tatum coming back. And I just was reading all the practice stories. And it seemed like it was

going to happen whether or not we think it should or not. At the end of the day, if the doctors

approved his return and Tatum comes back and plays like this as soon as he returns, then I don't

only have any concerns anymore. If you think that he's ready and you're paying these doctors,

millions of dollars to support the decision to let Tatum come back. And he's going to play this

well right off the jump. If he came back and immediately looked terrific, I couldn't move,

then he could argue, okay, it looks premature. No, but it's not even that. It's not even that.

Like, it's not even if he looked bad. I think is he could look fine. He could look perfectly fine.

But if you if you're sitting there, you're talking about a month down the road. If we're talking

in the playoffs and we talk about he has some other crazy injury and it's kind of

catastrophic if that happens. That's why I'm like, do you want to risk that? Like, do you really

want to risk that? But I mean, I could be wrong. Maybe I'm being pessimistic about it. Maybe

all I've been talking about this for a long time saying I didn't think Jason Salem should ever

play this season because I thought, wow, that's just like a really unnecessary risk. But like

it's modern medicine. Injuries are different. How they treat injuries are different. It could be

cool. And maybe even if he does get hurt again, it's just another recovery time and then he goes

back to playing like, yeah, but I was going to what I test determinant for me where if Tatum looked

to good initially, I'd be fine with it. If he looked awful, then you could argue that it was

premature. He looks great. So there's a possibility that he's just superhuman and he's just able to

play and Boston looks good now. So I'll see what happens. I mean, they look good before. Yeah,

I still don't think they're I still put Detroit when Detroit's playing that defense when they're

playing that level of basketball. And the fact that they have the big that if they go up against

Boston, like Durham is going to eat them alive the entire series. Beef stew is going to have good

games multiple series like. I think you should get ejected. Very much true. Yeah, very much true.

Charlotte's up 41-33 on the road. Man, probably like really interested to see what Charlotte

injury report. I think that Jared Allen not playing the first leg of second back may be playing

the second leg of back here. Mitchell Mitchell's a question mark is he just came back from injury

for the game today? Yeah, there's no guarantee if he plays again tomorrow. Yeah, so a lot of moving

pieces with the cabs there. However, we also have four of the 76ers. Vijay edge cone questionable

with the back injury. Tyree's maxi is out. And Maxi is going to miss a couple of games too.

So indeed, I mean, of course, and then yeah, Janai Broom also out.

So do you remember the video of him at the combine?

He couldn't reach the Broom. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, he couldn't reach the things that he had to

touch for the vertical. And I thought he was playing like pretty solid ball for Philly when he was

like playing before he got hurt. Yeah, I thought he was like, oh, he did better. I thought he was

always going to be like one of those college players that was just a college player. I still think

that. I mean, I'm sure, but like, I think he's already done more than what I expected him to do

in league. And I should be interested to see what he does when he comes back. I remember Broom had

a, what do you have 50 in a july game a couple months ago? Everybody is like, I think he had 50 in

a july. 50 is like in july's like a riot passage. No, I'm just saying I'm pretty sure he had 50

in a game a couple months ago, but I can't take Philly in this game. I understand Cleveland might

be using a shorthanded team, but Philly is a shorthanded team by default. You said moving

pieces. There are no moving pieces for Philly. Other teams dead. There's nothing else to say. Max

he's injured. We know and beads injured. You got to hope some guy step up. Maybe Jared. Oh,

wait, no, he's on okay. See now. Like what are you supposed to do? You're going to hope Uber

A gives you 30. What are you hoping for the Barlow legacy game? I don't know what Philly

supporting cast actually is. I don't think they're a very good team. I've been low on Philly for a

while. You were hoping even if Max he would miss time, maybe Edgecomb would step up and he might

not play, but Cleveland had a really bad game against Boston. They're not traveling, which I think

helps, but I do think even if they are shorthanded, what is this Philly team? If you took this Philly

roster right now with no Max and no and bead and you told me they're playing 82 games with this roster.

How many wins are you giving them? Do they get to 35? Do they get to 30? Like this team stinks.

I got to go Cleveland. How many wins would you give this active Philly roster if they played a

full 82? Yeah, not many. I'm saying, well, they only got 30 and 52 team. Like this team stinks.

So unless Philly has a nobody believes in this game, I got to take Cleveland because Philly

missed in their two best players. Damn, it's not going to be pretty. Watch on this team play.

How good are you thinking Brooklyn? That's terrible, but they were good in the second half against

the pissing team somehow. They came back and they won, but no, then that's not very good.

And I mean, I'm talking about the game before that too. They,

first of all, they played the pissing. What the calves close twice? They played the calves close.

And so that's my only concern. And that's where I would say devil's advocate here because I'm

with you. I'm with everything you said here by all metrics. And I mean, pretty much a lot,

pretty much a lot of metrics. This version of this Philadelphia team should be horrible without

Maxi. Like I truly, you'd have to be what the crazy VJ 25 something game. We haven't even seen that

in a long time. So like this version of this Philly team,

campaign is projected to be the starter. Okay, all right. There's nothing else to talk about,

actually. Yeah. Where's the music? Okay. I was, I was, I was going to say something about, yeah,

I'm concerned about Cleveland just letting their foot off the gas as they have done and played around

with multiple teams in the past. But at the end of the day, campaign is starting, like,

getting actual starting minutes in this game.

It'd be a nice bounce back, especially when they get Jared Allen in this game to

a pretty nice bounce back game for Cleveland here. Soldals at suits 26 and a half is probably the

version of Philly doesn't do anything, right? Probably. I feel like if the team told us

probably the way to go because Cleveland could drop 103 quarters because we know Philly defensively

has not been very good. But I really don't know where Philly's going to score. So it might just be

a team total play. Let's kind of, yeah. I'm out. Yeah. I can understand that because I could see,

I could see Cleveland running, running to score up. Maybe James Harding this time is about

a clock for a day, something like that. Well, then James, they're, uh, they're more. Oh,

there you go. Oh, they're at home too. Yeah. And it's like, oh, these, these bombs, like, yeah,

you could miss around. Be like, all right, let me go out there and play for you. I think Horton

double doubles worth a look. I mean, if Mitchell doesn't play, there will be more opportunities

for Harding anyway. What does that even pay these days? That's been that bad, actually,

is this has been mainly around, I want to say eight and a half. So I think it would actually be

some plus money, not a lot, but some. Interesting. We have to look into that. All right.

Next up, Denver is trying to get their face back after that horrible, terrible,

disgusting loss against New York Knicks. 39 points at home.

They're on the road going to play the Oklahoma City Thunder and okay,

she's laying seven and a half in this one. 231 and a half is total.

Andrew Bort. We have four of the dead in Vernuggets. It looks like

Payton Watson is out. Interesting injury still. We've got Jamal Murray who is a questionable

after that's her in Daegu. Alice Caruso is a questionable with a hip injury.

You've got Brandon Carson. How Che dub is still out. Isaiah Hartstein is out with the calf injury.

You got Chet Hogan who is questionable with an illness.

Okay, C's at 50 wins, 15, 15 on the season sky. Do they add another one here?

I think they're going to win. I've been a lot lower on Denver over the last couple of weeks.

Having said that, we saw them face off about a week and a half ago in OKC

and the game went to overtime and Denver arguably should have won the game.

So I don't actually mind Denver plus the points in this game.

I'd argue the under. I think it's intriguing. The last man did a lion to 14 in regulation.

And that was with Murray finishing with 39 points.

Joker had a 23.17 rebound, 14 assist triple double in that game as well.

The issue Denver runs into is the bench. Valentune is in the last game against OKC.

The one that went to overtime. Valentune has played eight minutes in the game.

Do you want to guess what his plus minus was in those eight minutes?

Minus eight. He was negative 21.

In those eight minutes, Yokech and Murray were each extremely positive. Well,

Murray was plus five. Joker was plus 15. So he was plus 15 and he played 45 minutes.

Now I know went to overtime, etc. But the point is if Denver's bench is just not totally

atrocious in this game, I think they can keep this game close. We saw in the playoffs

last year, Denver does tend to do a good job of keeping games close with OKC.

And in that game, Chepl played, Chepl played, Partonstein played, they were healthy in that game.

And they still gave them a lot that they really struggled to handle for a decent portion of that

game. I like the under in this one and out of my nuggets, but I think I prefer Thunder 1 to 10.

Yeah, Thunder 1 to 10 sounds great. You know, they haven't covered in four of their last.

I'm sorry, six of their last 10 games and including five straight non covers,

lay in six and a half against Denver, 16 and a half against Dallas didn't even cover that.

That was a 13 point win. Nine and a half against Chicago didn't cover four and a half against

the nicks. I bet that didn't cover three and a half sterled in cover. And then 12 and a half

against this version of the go to state Warriors, Scott. Like I'm blindly, I blindly just

take Denver right now. I mean, it is for good reason. OKC's got a rotating rotation going on

right now because it's different. People hurt shade up is honestly, hasn't even really been a

factor all season. If we're really, if we're really being honest about it, hasn't been a factor

all season. You've got, what was it, Ajay? Mitchell, that was in out of the lineup.

Caruso be in out lineup. Chet Hogan be down. Isaiah Hartenstein in and out of the lineup.

Like it's, it's Shay had got hurt for that excess amount of time. They bring in Jared McCain

or figuring all these things out. Like it, it makes sense why they're not covering games because

there's so many different pieces and, and just moving and trying to get that all to jail.

At some point, they're going to get back to it and they're going to start destroying seems

again. But I don't think that's right now. I think Denver is pissed off that they lost to the

digs by 39 points at home. And this is the same that they feel comfortable with that.

Honestly, he's been beat there as if he saw it ever being honest with it. They, what did,

they won the series. And then they've also won four straight in regular season.

Yeah, it's been relatively one sided, but a reminder, it did go seven games in the playoffs last

year. And the thunder this season double that an overtime win and they won by 10 in the first game.

So it's not like Denver's getting blown out constantly against this team. They'd be competitive.

They just can't really get over the finish line. Yeah, just why I said thunder once a time.

Yep, I mean, I'm a hundred percent in agreement. Thunder wanted to give me Denver plus seven and a half

here. Uh, two thirty one and a half minutes total. I said under just based on last meeting.

It played slow last meeting. It was pretty physical. Dork and joke right into it because

dork threw him a cheap shot. I can see it being chippy. Yeah. And just the again, what if

Chet doesn't play? Yeah. That's also another big part of this. If Chet doesn't play, this is

a complete lead. Like now is it has to be SGA. It's carrying basically. And just

going three months of last game against Denver. And they're just running out of pigs. Like,

they're just running out of pigs at this point. And no, you already got no heart.

And Chet doesn't play. You're really, really short. So yeah, how much you?

Under two thirty one and a half. Yeah, next up off. Minnesota. Not minus. I'm sorry. I always do this.

Memphis. Memphis Grizzlies are on the road going to play the Brooklyn Nets.

Memphis is laying one and a half on the road. A two twenty one and a half is total.

It's pretty bad out here. Yep. Pretty sick stuff as we get to this point in the season.

Well, like, real quick, you're never going to stop tanking. Like, whatever you do,

somebody's always going to find a loophole. And then honestly,

whatever it's all that people were doing of, we're just going to give the pigs to the good

teams. Now you're just promoting bad basketball, because now organizations are never going to get

better. Like, it seems I'm going to think it's cool. It happens. I've never been anti-tanking.

I understand and sympathize with the tanking teams. Like, what? What else am I going to do?

No, I'm not going to go too deep into it. If you're Utah or Milwaukee, how the hell

are you supposed to get good players? What are you supposed to do? No, Milwaukee, like,

really, really short. And they don't have their pig. No, Milwaukee want to title, because I know

that it wasn't a full top five pick, but Yannis turning to a basketball god, basically.

And they built around him, but you need the draft. It's the only way you can be good.

Utah is trying to do some stuff with some trades, of course, you know,

George and they end up getting Lori and I think I've got Jaron Jackson Jr. We still think they're

not closed to actually being competitive for a title, so they're just going to be better than they

were before. But the argument is pretty simple. If you are a small market team, how the hell are

you supposed to get good players? Because no free agents want to play for your franchise.

I understand why these teams tank. That's all I have to say. I feel like it's pretty self-explanatory.

I like it for betting too, because I can just fade these bad teams for four months. Great. And they

tell you they're not trying to win. Really convenient for us. It's great for us. I don't know why

people are trying to get rid of it. Like, why are we? Who cares? Why are you trying? Why are you

trying to end this? Why are you trying to end a good thing? This is good. Even though, you know,

we're going to play this drop. But like, we're not opposed to this game happening. No.

Can you believe the teams are actively trying to lose why? So their usual ticket prices of $7

go down to $5 in New Orleans. Like, a lot of these franchises are jokes anyway. Telling them

they got to try now. You think they've been trying to lose the entire time? No. And that's my

also another point. I think a lot of these teams are not trying to lose. They can't do any better.

They're trying to go out there and win. They're actually going out. There are some

scenes that I sacrameno. Sacrameno. That's not in Westbrook. Sacrameno. Sacrameno. I think

with the roster they have are doing the absolute best they can to try to win games. But they

can't because they suck. Yeah. The issue is the front office being competent. They didn't pay

a Levine extra money. You can. The Rosen and Sabonis to try to tank. They're just an extremely

dysfunctional and dumb basketball franchise. We're going to pay these guys all this money so that

we could tank and kill right. That was not in the plan for Sacrameno. They're just incompetent.

That was good. All right. Scotty Pippin Jr. is a questionable. I'm sorry, doubtful for this game.

He's not going to play. Santiago Dama is outside. Jerome is doubtful.

Cezure Calhard is also doubtful. All right. All of them just not playing. Let's just go ahead

and put that out there. You got Michael Portage Jr. who was out for rest.

Dama is out because of foot injury and then you got Seraf is probable.

I'm just going to take the net. Look, I have the net's win total under. As a net's fan,

I've been hoping that they've lost every game for the last three months.

And that Detroit win was just heartbreaking for me. They're down 23 and a second half and they

end up coming back and winning. I've seen them in multiple tank showdown. So to speak the season,

it was notably the Wizards game where they threw out a Glee team and trailed by 30 in the first

quarter. The nets haven't gotten the full memo of tanking yet, where other teams around them are

actively benching the entire roster when they play. And the nets are still throwing out like 70%

of their team. I know Kate didn't play it, but that one was kind of fluke. But the point is the

nets still have been trying. They almost beat Cleveland. They had a massive collapse against

Atlanta in the fourth quarter. They were winning that game by double digits with like six minutes

to go. They're still competitive. Grizzly is actively waving the white flag 24 hours before

the game. And the net's just not reciprocating. Tells me the nets should probably be favorite

one in the scam. Even if you think both teams are once again not any good and I agree with you,

one team already benched half the starting line up. The other team did not. So I'll take the

nets because they have more starters. And they were really like, they was really mad at them that

they almost beat the clippers. They was like, well, it's all your own and skype and y'all did

it too much in that game. Y'all got to sit down. Yeah, I'm going to say my I said to you,

I think benefits rate wave the right flag for this one and said, yep.

And that she can have that win. Yep. I hope that Grizzly's win because my win total is going to die

at 20 and a half. But look, the nets are a tanking team, but they have been less,

I'll use this buzzword which has been used a lot. They've been more ethical with their

tanking than other teams around the league. And I think it's nonsense if you're going to tank

then go crazy with it. You're trying to lose games. But the nets have actually been using

real NBA players and other teams have not been doing that. So the nets should win this game.

Yeah. All right. And I'm not happy about it. And since all the bull games, so you take dogs,

so like, yeah, it all makes sense. Next plus one half.

Two to one and a half is total. I don't trust either one of these teams to score the basketball

honestly. Yeah. I pass. I have no clue. This is going to be like 99 to like 90. Something like that.

I actually thought about the over hoping that they just start auditioning for other teams.

It just turns into a pickup game halfway through. But I'm not going to bet the total. So give me a nice

Danny Wolf double double. That's my heart take for this game. Okay. All right. Let's see here.

Because at that point in the rotation, I just I think he has a pretty pretty free lane to the

basket. We'll see if it's going to be a Mitchell Robertson's able going to be in the game and

get some room protection and it's not going to be Mathering just being able to slash and get

some room because if he's just able to slash and get to the room like against the holes I can

unit anytime he's out there, I think that is cool. That is enough to be able to push the clippers

to play on a back to back, but we're looking at the clippers actual depth chart here.

I mean, they have no centers like at all. I mean, Lopez we know is past his prime, but he can still

shoot from the outside. Isaiah Jackson at a double, double last game, but the Grizzlies actually

have no centers. Matherin had a double, double off the bench, but you're looking at the center

depth and we know Lopez last game against Memphis, for example, 12 minutes, one rebound. Isaiah

Jackson had 12 rebounds and Matherin at 10. So the next really should kill this team on the boards.

And I think that's my problem the clippers are going to run into because if Robinson plays and if

Cat actually has himself a decent game, I know it's a big if, but still the mix could really win the

rebounding battle by like 15 plus. And if you're only laying two and a half and you're going to

dominate the glass, it means you're probably dominating the free throw line disparity as well.

And you're probably creating a lot more second chance points. And I just think that's a

recipe for success when you're laying a very short number. The clippers may be fine to weigh,

but they give up a ton of points to the Grizzlies. They have 120 to Memphis last game. I'm still not

sure they can actually grab a rebound when it matters. We saw the Centonio game, for example,

they give a back to back rebounds off Miss free throws in the final 10 seconds of regulation.
