Notre Dame-Purdue Takeaways: Elite Defense, Improvements on Offense, And Week 4 CFB Recap

Tyler Wojciak is LIVE for another edition of Locked On Irish Sunday Night Live with more takeaways from Notre Dame’s dominant 49-10 win over Purdue. Tyler explains why so much of the conversation around the Fighting Irish focuses on whether their flaws are good enough to win a national championship while overlooking the two biggest reasons to believe they can: CJ Carr and an elite Notre Dame defense. He breaks down why Carr continues to elevate the offense even without huge passing volume, how the defense has become one of the most dominant units in college football, and why both have already shown championship-level ability. Then, Tyler examines what still needs to improve, including the running backs creating more explosive plays, Jonaz Walton’s growing role and Notre Dame’s third-down offense. Finally, he reacts to a wild weekend across college football, Notre Dame remaining No. 3 in the AP Poll and what the results around the country mean for the Irish moving forward.
