This is a doozy today because we have the everyday streamer rankings. I just, this is just what I do. I've been doing it actually. If you didn't notice, Eric, I've been doing it since last week. And of course, we woke up this morning and we saw, oh, everything has changed again. So why did I even do it? I don't know. I just can't help myself. So enjoy it. That's what the list is today. It should actually be out earlier than usual. I'm pushing Mac stuff just to get this done. And we're going to go over each day as best as we can. Eric, I'm sure you have something you want to say about this weekend's proposed starters. This weekend's proposed starters?

3:03Oh, man. I was okay. Yes. Like the likelihood of them actually starting out. Oh, yes. You mean this upcoming, I was thinking about the weekend that just passed. Yes. And it's the weekend's upcoming starters. We did mention this on the last podcast, which we did on Friday, which is just a very quick reminder that Friday, Saturday, Sunday, it just expect massive chaos, expect things to change. Once teams get eliminated, once teams clinch playoffs, they're going to start lining up their rotations for the playoffs. You're going to just start seeing things get shuffled. You're going to start seeing guys get shut down whenever possible. You're going to prioritize your starts early in the week. If you're deciding to play somebody who's a two-start starter and the primary reason you want their them to be in your lineup is because of that second start. Just second guess that because there's a really good chance that that second start might not happen. Obviously, we know the teams that are in contention right now. We know the teams that are fighting for things.

4:05You got the diamond backs and the Padres. You got the white socks and the Guardians and the Blue Jays kind of. Those are the teams that feel more secure, but even the Yankees, the Red Sox, they're probably locked into their wild card spots. They may just call guys up to get a spot start on Friday or Saturday or whatever and set up their rotations. For example, we're seeing DJ Hurres today. Oh my gosh, amazing. He makes his start return. We like seeing that. I do not know. I had no idea. I'm a genius, Jay. Oh my gosh. I was hoping for it for ages. They said, no, no, no, no, until three hours before the game started. Oh gosh. It's interesting. And also another name who's not mentioned here. And I don't believe it's actually in your sheep, but we'll get to it because it's going to happen today on Monday. Oh, it's on my sheep because he's the opener, Eric. Oh, you're talking about it for the Detroit Tigers? Yes, I am. Yes. But the plan for today, we're going day by day, Monday through Sunday.

5:09We are going to give you nicks. And my opinion is on nicks. Auto starts, probable starts, questionable starts, et cetera. We're not going to spend as much time on each day as we did on Friday because Friday we just did three days. We're trying to do this whole week. And again, just a quick note, we are going to really run through Friday, Saturday and Sunday pretty quickly because our expectation is that those days will change, but we want to give you our general thoughts. Monday. There are only three games today on Monday. So you don't really have to worry about a lot of guys. There are no auto starts. There are no probable starts. And Nick has three questionable starts. It's Shane Baz against Toronto, Debbie Matthews at the Giants and Keita Montero against the Nationals. Keita Montero, who is planning to be the bulk follower behind River Ryan, who is going to be making his debut for the Tigers. It's exciting to us just to watch him pitch. He should not be picked up and added in your fantasy league, unless it is a keeper league

6:09and you're hoping that he is in the Tigers rotation in 2027, which he probably will be if we have a season. You know, Baz against Toronto makes sense to me. Debbie against the Giants. Like I know Debbie's been inconsistent. It's a pretty nice match up there though. Yeah. I mean, it's one of those things where maybe I'm actually going to have Debbie above ultimately. But Keita Montero, I think, is more interesting one just because he is an opener and it's a case where everyone's going to be focused on River Ryan. River Ryan, I don't think it's going to do badly. And then I feel like you're going to have Montero just have a nice easy whip game in front of him. With Debbie, it's a case of like some days. He looks great. Some days he doesn't. And I just don't know what we're going to get each time. And that's why it's questionable. It's not probable. I'm Shane Baz. At least he has the volume to do it. But I'm so for River Ryan. It was 37 pitches, I believe, where 39 and his last rehab start. So we cannot expect anything long in this one. I would not consider him to pick up at all. But it is an audition.

7:10And it's actually, it's a little annoying because I imagine he's going to go out there and be great. And now we're going to love him for 2027. And I was going to be like, oh, River Ryan, River Ryan. I'm like, well, now I can't like not draft him. You know, before I'd be able to just not draft him, he would come up within a week or two the season. And then that'd be great. Now I'm going to probably have to get him in like the 13th. No, no, no, no. 18th round or something like that. Yeah, we'll, I mean, yes, we will, we will see, we'll see how he winds up doing. We should note in the, do not starts blade, tid well, Spencer Miles, DJ hers, Spencer Miles is going to open for Traits Savage or Traits Savage is going to start. Yeah, Traits Savage is opening for Spencer Miles. We talked about this on Friday because you Savage was potentially going to start over the weekend and they pushed him to Monday, but he threw just 34 pitches in his last rehab outing in at AAA. So again, you're looking at 40 to 45 pitches for Traits Savage, not somebody you want to

8:12be adding, treat him exactly as you would River Ryan in the sense that like, hey, it'll be nice to see him pitch. He's not going to pitch deep enough into this game to matter for fantasy purposes. Now DJ hers might be a little different. He pitched 65 pitches on September 11th and it was 4.1 innings of one and a run, five strikeouts. I'm not going to say that this is worthwhile though. It's a very clear still ill for him. He's at the same velocity that actually I take that back. He's up a tick from what we saw in 2024 at 92 to 83 is supposed to like 91 to 92. But we'll see if he has the command and all the, you know, the withability that we want to see. We'll take that left these at least looks like he has that maybe to change him. So he has a good and rehab. It's just I can't endorse it for a one time stream. Part of me is like really tempted because I just don't like played it well in Spencer Miles. So I'm going to right now, even as I'm saying this, I'm going to put blade table at the bottom, Spencer Miles in the middle just for the winchance and then DJ hers at the top

9:13of it. Because if you're desperate right now, maybe DJ Harris has got it in the bag. Monday is a really interesting day for looking ahead to 2027 with your savage. And River Ryan and DJ hers. We've spent too much on Monday with six. Yeah, we've already gone to Tuesday. We're done. It's over. Yeah, we're done Tuesday. We have eight auto starts on Tuesday. It's Logan Henderson against the Astros Peyton Toley against the Guardian, Zach Wheeler against the Brewers, Drew Rasmussen against the Yankees Max Fried against the raise, Carlos Rodon against the raise double header. You said Logan Henderson looking Gilbert at the time. I did say Logan and Gilbert. It's also a double header for the raise and the Yankees. Yeah, so that's going to be exciting and obviously with playoff implication as well. The Yankees, the worst games back. So there's a very it's a limited shot. Well, there's a shot technically, Parker Messick against the Red Sox and Shota Imanaga against the Marlins are the auto starts here. Not a lot to discuss. Can we move on to the problems? Absolutely. Okay, probable starts. Jared Jones against the Cardinals, Taj Bradley against the Giants Christian Javier against

10:17the Mariners and Nick Martinez against the Yankees, you know, the matchups here make some sense. It's Jared Jones against the Cardinals, some Jared Jones has been trending in the right direction and gets a really good matchup. Taj Bradley also gets a good matchup. Nick Martinez has just been good, even though it's a bad matchup against the Yankees. And then Christian Javier is one of those names that we were talking about where it's technically a two-start week. It's at Seattle and then it's at the athletics and you may see at the athletics and think, I don't really know if I want to use Christian Javier on Sunday because it's in Sacramento. I would go ahead and use him because I think this is a pretty decent start and I have no idea if he's going to pitch that game against the athletics. And so I would say Christian Javier is moving in the right direction, goes into Seattle for a pretty good start this one. Yeah, the logic that I'm using is, does this pitch or need innings? Are they pushing up to 130, 140 or so or are they injured for a while and are they needing more of an audition? DJ Hers, I think obviously still ill and all, but if they can, they'll make that a two-step.

11:22And then Christian Javier, yeah, he needs to get his innings. So I would actually hope that they would be putting him on the rotation on the bump on Sunday. Yeah. And if they do, whatever, we've got a depleted athletics lineup. Yeah. We're going to move the questionables because there's some interesting names here we should get to Anthony K against the Royals. Mackenzie Gore against the Metz, Dustin May at the Phillies, Andre Paiante against the, I mean, I'm sorry, Nick, I almost said the Steelers, the pirates. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. I mean, I'm set, even though you corrected yourself, I'm still hurt. I'm sorry. I apologize. At the Rangers. Michael King of the Dodgers, you say Kucchy in Sacramento. Michael Soroka in Cours Field and Drew Anderson against the Nationals. I picked up some Drew Anderson in final NFBC leagues where like, you know, leagues where I didn't need saves anymore. And so I'm just getting as many starting options for this week as possible.

12:23And I'm intrigued. He's gone long enough in the last few starts that he can qualify for a win. I think it's a decent matchup for him. I think he's pitching solidly. I'm not going to, you know, say that he's been great, but it's solid. There've been some good outings mixed in there. Drew Anderson is a decent option, I think on Tuesday. Yeah. Drew Anderson has a four-seamer split change breaker and it's not really the most exciting combination. The four-seamers in his slow-repowering. He does have some vert that can surprise upstairs in the split change. Obviously, he's a volatile, as you guys know, a volatile pitch that can get whiffed, but you don't really want to depend on it. But yeah, he is in my questionable start. He has been for a couple of weeks now. So I understand it completely. I just hate that you're saying, because now it's going to be the Ryan Johnson isn't a derrick. I don't know. I'm not going to be terrible. But then in two starts from now, when it's the offseason, it'll be great. Michael King is against the Dodgers. This I assume is just questionable because of the matchup. Yes. You say Kukuchi. Looked really good in the first few starts coming back off the IL or a few starts off the

13:24IL. It's been kind of inconsistent since then and now going into Sacramento. I think I'd rather Drew Anderson than you say Kukuchi. I get that. I think the ceiling is higher for Kukuchi. Okay. So it's just depends on what you need. There's a little bit more of a ratio of floor that's higher for a Duran Anderson. You have Anthony K as the highest and the question will start to you, which makes some sense to me. It's the Royals. I know the Royals are hitting better recently than they have been like for the vast majority of the season. But there's a white socks are a team that needs to win games. And so even though they had limited K previously in some starts, if he's pitching well, I don't envision them limiting him here on Tuesday because they need these wins to try to either secure wild card spot or the the A L Central. Right. No, that makes all the sense. Yeah. It's I mean, Anthony K to me is someone who's done a good job of living around the edges and gone better as the season goes on has thrown fewer balls actually.

14:26You still struggle nibbling too much. And we have moments when he has good velocity. I mean, I went tell you about Anthony K before the season started airing. No, I never heard of it. No one. This is a massive joke. I don't know if I feel like I was right at all about Anthony K. I don't know. At least no one thought he would be any way valuable at the very least. So at least I got I think you were right because he became somebody that was rosterable. Yeah. That's not really what I was hoping for. I know. But better than, you know, better than what many people expected coming in. Okay. Speaking of lefties who are rosterable, I do think we talked about this on on Friday, I think, but Sean and I against Texas in Texas. I think it's a fine spot. Again, it's not a probable. It's not an auto. It's in the questionable start tier. But he is the one of the lowest rostered players in this questionable start tier. And like I agree with you, I would rather him than Michael King. I'd probably rather start him than Soroka in Cours.

15:27I think there's an argument that I'd rather start him over Dustin May against the Phillies. Dustin May has been super inconsistent and the Phillies are a much better offense than the Rangers. But Dustin May stuff is so good. I know it's so frustrating to me. Like, I know I've been saying, oh, he's again, it's bad luck. I like him. Yeah, he did pitch not at his best last time. But it's like this should be much better. To me, it just makes more sense for Dustin May, but yeah, absolutely agree with what you're saying. Andrew Palante and also, Sean and I, right, those two guys, I think have opportunities here against week, week opponents. Well, the other ones are more of, hey, it's a bad matchup in the name of dreams. Yeah. Is there anybody in the do not start tier that you want to mention at all? Anything in the lane is kind of good. Okay. He's kind of good. I don't really know if I really want to push him into questionable start tier, but 3% against Minnesota, he's probably the one that you can't consider and also Justin Robleski, what is going on with the Dodgers? I don't know. I'm still upset, even though I'm the person that said, hey, Dodger rightist exists. We don't know what's going to happen all the time. It still, it still upsets me.

16:30No, three innings on 30 pitches at his last outing for Justin Robleski. So it's hard to have any sort of confidence that all of a sudden they'll be like, yeah, go 85 for whatever. You know what I mean? Like so, yeah. So it feels like this is not going to pitch long enough for a win here. We're going to move on to Wednesdays games now. Wednesday. We have six auto starts. Chris sale against the Reds. Nobby Yamamoto against the Padres, Cade Cavali against the Tigers. Now it's Logan Henderson, not Logan Gilbert against the Phillies, Nolan McLean against the Rangers and sunny Gray against the Guardians. We will probably have many offseason conversations about Nolan McLean, why it didn't work for him in the same way it worked for the Burns who were in that kind of same tier. Had some hesitations about McLean's swing and missibility at first, but Arizona. And so maybe that's part of it. We'll dig in and see. But again, a good start here against the Rangers. Probably will start tier. It's Garrett Cole against the race, Connor Prelep against the Giants, Walbert, Urania against

17:35the athletics and sorry, in Sacramento, I should point out. And then Kevin Gossman against the Marlins. Cole makes sense. Garrett Cole, even though it's tough matchup, Connor Prelep. The last outing was a good one against the Angels. Now he gets another pretty easy matchup against the Giants. Are we just kind of this is more matchup oriented and trying to just keep rolling? Okay, so this is more like Nick vibes got that could be absolutely wrong. I mean, just so you guys know, all the time, absolutely could be wrong. But Connor Prelep did something that got me really excited, which was he leaned into his curveball and sight or more. I pulled back on the fastballs and those two pitches were great. The curveball is also coming in harder. They're really nice pairing and I've actually been shouting at Prelep to throw more of those curveballs from the beginning because you're throwing these at like 83, 84 with really good two plane movement. When you see a curveball that is 10 10 or so, right, negative 10, negative 10 in both ways of down and sweep, that is good.

18:36Just guys, I'll have a course. I promise you at some point that if you have PL plus or PL pro that you can go and enjoy, we'll have it at some point. I'll work on it in the off season and all that kind of stuff. Well, I'm trying to get at Connor Prelep finally is flexing that curveball with his slider effectively. And it's against the Giants in Oracle Park and I just feel like he went seven innings, eight strikeouts. I wasn't a fluke. That was him actually exercising his upside. He's, look, you've been in the situation, Eric, as a baseball player where you had a great game and all you want to do is go back on the field and play again. Sure. That's all you're doing. You're just thinking about it. It's just there. Fools you. That was the game for Connor Prelep. That was the one who was like coach, give me the ball back. I want to do it again. I really feel like this is going to carry forward into just one more start vibes. Lives are high. I get it. Lives are good. Has there been a more out of nowhere fantasy success story this year than Walbert,

19:39Uranium? No, no, because. Yeah, yes, there has. I'm saying like it's not Walbert. Walbert, Uranium. He's not. Well, Walbert, Uranium first and foremost. Right when he showed up, he was throwing 98 mile per hour sinker and whatever and we're like, yo, this is amazing. This is cool. Right when he showed up, but you didn't know. We didn't know who, most of, I say we, because I've been quitting myself in there. Didn't know who he was. I know the first time we saw him on the mound and was like, what is this? But that was also like last year. Okay, there's a camp slip. They were like, yeah, it doesn't even feel like 94 or something like that. And all some combed areas. But I'm saying for this, for this 2026 season. Yeah, I cannot think of a more out of nowhere like, yes, we had the Jordan Walker breakout. Like yes, we had, we had, you know, guys like that who had a chance to step forward. But we knew who all those guys were and we had arguments about their potential upside. Walbert, Urania was somebody like, I don't know that I heard anybody say his name in the preseason. Yeah. Okay. Okay.

20:39You got me. You're right. You have to say. That the angels because we are like, okay, the four seamer isn't great. That change up, which is like, you know, 92 miles an hour, whatever. And it's just like utter filth. Like that's a dominant pitch. You're like, okay. And the sweeper like, you know, the slider like looks good. Can he locate it consistently? It was like, there's some interesting pieces here, but can he put it all together? And there were long stretches of the season where he looked absolutely incredible. Yeah. And he was using this against the athletics in Sacramento by the nature of his pitch mix. If he's changed up slider heavy, I don't know that they'll elevate as much against him. It's the fastballs up that are going to be the problem. And you just hope that those don't get hit out of the park. But again, we talked about this. This is a band up athletics lineup that I think we can attack in Sacramento with Urania this week. Yeah. I mean, that sounds right to me. Yeah, the Walburter Rania story is, it's kind of nuts.

21:40And it's honestly really cool just to see him have more command as he went on. Not to mention his sweeper, put out a tweet about it. His sweeper has like three different versions. I saw someone respond saying that he had no influence on it. It's just he doesn't really know how it's going to move in a given time. It's not like he's like changing his grip to have three different versions of this, which I kind of agree with. At the same time, he threw a quote, quote, sweeper. That was a 92 mile per hour gyro slider. Yeah. And it's just dude, this is not even his final form. Like he only threw like 10 of them or so in that game. And oh my gosh, when those things work, it is, it truly looks like a 89 mile per hour like spiked curveball. It's incredible. So yeah, I, I'm a big fan of Walburter Rania. I'm going to be signing in for next year. Also, the fact that they fired their coaches like that that they now use a lot of new modern data, which is pretty good for the off season for like, yeah, right. That's just what it's just data. It's not new modern data. It's just data.

22:40That's true. Well, just the fact that we have it all at our fingertips. Yeah. Kevin Gossman against Miami rounds out this tier. It's Kevin Gossman against the Marlins. We understand why he's in a probably start here. A questionable start tier. Two names. I didn't expect to be in a questionable start tier at the end of the season, but it's George Kirby against the Astros Framber Valdez against the Nationals. Foster Griffin against the Red Sox Robby Ray against the Dodgers, Aaron Noah against the Brewers and Matthew Lieber Tor against the Pirates. Kirby and Valdez, the the Fallen aces, they're in the questionable start tier because we understand the upside. Valdez's matchup is pretty good. Anything else you feel like you need to add on those two guys? Yeah, no, not really. I mean, Aaron Noah, look, he didn't do the three in a row, right? For home runs. He had, he allowed two home runs. And the third game, see, I told you, couldn't go back to back to back. And then of course, he didn't allow one of the four sets. Three of us last four games, zero home runs allowed for Aaron Noah, which is really cool. And Matthew Lieber Tor, you did not have a slider game.

23:41And it's like, you had this 30% strikeout rate with sliders that were amazing to write handers and you just stop doing it and doing it effectively. So I want to be like, okay, it's still kind of there. Could return in one game, but it's just. Yeah. And also, by the way, I should mention, Kevin Gosman and probably start like, dude, isn't he like the biggest episode? I'm like, yes, he is. It's also the Marlins and it's just worth it to take the chance for the strikeouts in the wins at this point. Yeah. You got nothing. You're like, looking at this do not start. You're like, is is is worth it? It is so many. I will say in the do not start. I like Christian Curtis. Okay. So as an right, he has an opener. I'm trying to figure out where I should be putting these openers because yeah, that is an elevated win chance, right? Yeah. And the other ones, Christian Curtis doesn't quite do enough. Like as a fantasy manager, he's not going to go more than three innings or four innings. Well, he went three and the third out of relief last week. Fair. And so. And so maybe, but yes, maybe he's going to go between three and four innings, right behind an opener. Right. Let's call it four innings, whatever behind an opener. Because again, he was a fully stretched out starter in the minor league.

24:43So the fact that he only went three to third out of the bullpen is not really a pitch count thing. Sure. I think the pitch mix is interesting enough. Like there are just some components here where I'm like, it's a deep enough pitch mix. There's velocity on the fastball. Like there are components here that I think I'd be interesting. And he looked fine against the Brewers, you know, the three walks in three and a third was not great. The command wasn't great. But now we get against the Cardinals. Like I, I would put him higher up in the do not start. And I would even consider just a, like, I know you can't make it like this. But like if you are chasing a win, I think that Christian Curtis belongs in a questionable start to your just if you're chasing wins because he's only going to go three or four innings. But I think there's a decent win chance. All right. So I moved him up underneath Cody Bradford. Okay. Because I'm like, all right, Ryan Gusto doesn't even go longer. If I can't really do that one, I should probably put Ethan Peck. I got I got to move just I got just moved down to Ryan. Gusto, by the way, if anyone has ever joined me for the list streams in the regular season,

25:47you'll see that what I do is anytime I'm trying to move up a guy and I can't quite figure it out. So I think it was wrong. I move one above down because I what I do is I have an anchor point of like this feels wrong because this guy shouldn't be underneath this one. Yeah. And instead of me moving up someone, I might move down someone else. It's kind of a fun exercise. Anyway, Christian Curtis now is at 20. I understand what you're saying. I was actually interested, but in him initially for what you've been mentioning, but it's not really an exceptional arsenal. It's, it's kind of norm in a way now. And I'm not going to expect that Christian Curtis is going to turn on the the Jets now, which by the way, don't ever do that because that's the wrong sport. But it's it's interesting. That's what I'll say. So five he's at 20, but I still will give credit to Prado Mo against the Cesar Prado Mo. Now, not Louise, the original long gun against the twins because Prado Mo does showcase his intent. Even against the Dodgers, it wasn't good. He showcased the intent of high four seamers low change ups. You can do that.

26:47He is a swatching in stealth. So there is a chance there. Yeah. The rest of these guys, we don't need to go into if you didn't hear the name. I would do not recommend starting them on Wednesday. 29:57Thursday we have four auto starts got camp slitler against the raised Tyler glass now against the Padres Brian. Whoo against the angels and Tyler Maui against the reds. A Maui we talked with this before, but like he's just pitching too well right now to not consider him an auto start, especially against a floundering reds team not in great American ballpark. So I police understand that. I also love the word floundering. I just always imagine them like a fish out of water every single time. And it's just as a collective team doing that like all of the little mini players now just floundering together. That is where my brain goes, which is no surprise to anyone who is known me for some extended period of time. Just a few days. The problem will start here. Ian C. Morgan's the Yankees Rainier Suarez and the Guardians Paul Schienz against the Cardinals. Clay Holmes against the Marlins and Zach Thornton against the Rangers. Talk to me about Zach Thornton in a probable start to. Yeah, I know I actually just upgraded him. It's wild, right?

30:59At the same time, he's just done it. He's just consistently located with his cutter and his foreseemer in and induced enough weekouts. And I'm at the point. I'm just like, well, fine. I mean, it's just that simple of fine. Like it's working. So we were going to just roll it. Not much else to say there. It's praise for you for him. Yeah. Paul Schienz, this is like the first time I'm actively hoping for a notification about somebody getting a cleanup procedure. And I don't say that as a negative on Paul Schienz. I just, it's been such a confusing and confounding season that if we got a note in October that he had some, you know, bone spurs removed from his elbow, I would say, okay, that all of that makes a little bit more sense now. Otherwise, I'm going to be just continuing to spend the off season figuring out how it happened. Don't just be like, sure, I don't, don't waste your time. We're not going to know unless we have more information.

32:00It's just completely, yeah, not worth your time. A clay homes in the probable start tier for the same reason Kevin Gosman was right against the, the Marlins good, win chance, even though the results have been inconsistent with the Cubs. We'll move to the questionable start tier. We have Peter Lambert in Sacramento against the athletics Eduardo Rodriguez in Cours. Nick Pavell against the Dodgers, Randy Dobneck against the White Sox David Sandlin against the Royals and Conor against the pirates. He is following behind Kyle Leahy. We had mentioned that Leahy was, you know, going to be limited in pitches towards the end of the season. So Leahy will open that game. Lambert was pretty good. The last time out in Sacramento, I guess the only is it is this for you, the only reason that Lambert and Eduardo Rodriguez are inquestionable and not probable is because of where they're pitching. Yeah. It's completely what it is. Yeah. And Pavella, it's the Dodgers. Did you even see enough in the last start that like, are we taking steps forward?

33:00No, he's not getting whiff. Yeah. It's not getting whiff. You know, I feel like where's the brief? You know, like, I feel like that's the, I can't trust it. I mean, he's not feeling his sweeper. You know, there's something always to ask about like high arm angled guys, weed sweepers. Generally do more damage to the arm because the arm angle has to change. I will always go back to the throw in the pizza from Lance McCulloch. And it's just, yeah, that hurts. So I feel we're even putting him in question, will to be honest. Yeah. Yeah. I get that. And the other question I had to ask you about was why am I blanking? Oh, Sanlon. We had talked about Sanlon last on Friday. And you mentioned the possibility of him coming up. And how do you feel about this start? I mean, I like the first one. Do not like the second one. So it's, it's frustrating because he's done the same thing twice now of having a good initial start. And then the second one is just not at all what we wanted it to be. I think it's still a chance for him to be the guy that we want him to be.

34:02I mean, I think it's kind of that simple. And that's why he's inquestionable. It can be productive for you. You seem like Randy, right? I'm fine throwing him out. Him out there. He has a good arsenal. He has generally above average stuff. It's just about execution. And hopefully he can, you know, have not go through the same experience that he did the first time. I got called up here in the do not starts. There's some bigger names like with with 10. I mean, that's really just 10 or by be, you know, we haven't really been using Kumara rocker. Brady singer for a while. But anybody else you feel like you need to mention here in the do not starts? Oh, no, not really. I mean, it's grace and our regas is looking a little bit better. And I actually am very interested in him for next year, just because of possibly the cutters showing up in the off season. Who's your kitty? Don't over look Jose or kitty, guys. He is found teams somehow always just like keeps bumping jumping around everywhere. Now he's with the Phillies because they lost his his a zardo. That could be a win. And I'm tempted even to put him above 10 to buy me.

35:03I'm going to do that right now, actually. Because a few weeks ago, like a month ago, when was the last that he had like, he came up and looked really good for like a starter to and he was pit. Has that with the Tigers in my mind when the Tiger might have been when he was with the white box. And I forget who it was against. But I was like, you know what? I might do this in like a 15 team league and he was so bad. He got cut. Maybe there was a pit for pirates even. He's been for with a lot of teams this year. And just to give you guys an idea, he had to start at Minnesota. It was five innings, actually, those in relief. He had six innings against the Cubs that got him a win and shut out. Like he has the ability to do this stuff. He had six rackouts of 4.2 innings against the Metz last time out. It's not horrible. It's just you don't really know what you're going to get. And so he's top of do not start. But I feel like Tanner Bible is just like the floor is lower for Tanner Bible at this point. Floor is more to damage you. Floor is lava. Yes. Yeah, I get it. I'm not doing that now. Moving on to Friday, we have four auto starts.

36:04We have Blake Snell against the Giants, we getmers against the Mariners, Noah Cameron against the Guardians, Joe Ryan against the Rangers. No need to believe at the point on those guys. We have a long problem. We'll start here though. It's Trevor Rogers against the Yankees will Warren against the Orioles Jackson Joe against the pirates. Dylan Seas against the Reds. Christian Scott against the Nationals and your painter against the raise Freddie Peralta against the Phillies. Sean Burke against the Rockies. In Chicago, not in Colorado, Brandon fought against the Padres. Joey Cantillo against the Royals. We need to make a note here about Dylan Seas. Yeah, Dylan Seas was originally supposed to start on Wednesday. He is not starting on Wednesday. His start is being pushed back to the weekend. My read on that is the blue J is saying, if we need to win one of these games, we'll start Dylan Seas. Yeah, exactly. If we are eliminated from the playoffs by the weekend, they are not going to start Dylan Seas.

37:05The fastball velocity has dropped precipitously. He's clearly not 100% right now. And so if you, I just don't feel confident, Dylan Seas makes that start. If you have anybody who is even remotely interesting to start over him this week, I would be starting them over Dylan Seas. It's just a numbers game at this point. If they're eliminated, there's no need for them to put him on the mound. Yeah. And so yeah, that's, that's where I'm at right now. We'll just, I'll give you the updates. We are, it's Monday right now. And so there's obviously a few days before they play, but the blue J's are three games back of the White Talks for the final Wild Card spot. So they're three games back with six games to play. So you're going to, I mean, you're obviously not going to know today, Monday, but I think there is a very, very, very strong likelihood. They are eliminated by Friday. Yes. Do not start till. Yep. It's, it's unfortunate. And also Dylan Seas is, I mean, the velocity stuff has just been so scary.

38:09So it's, you know, it's one of those times where I don't know what to think entering the offseason. And it could just be fatigue with things as this guy is not missed time a lot. Like he's been the workhorse for ages. And now we're trying to just suddenly seeing it affect him. So I think I would say pitching is a Trishon and he had definitely be careful with Dylan's. Yeah. Anybody else here? I mean, we talked through a lot of these names. Paralta, you know, continues to take steps in the right direction with the rays. And so, you know, I get it in Philadelphia. Christian Scott, Andrew Painter, our guys who've been, you know, somewhat inconsistent. But I think that these starts are totally fine for them. Job against the pirates. Like are we, is this a matchup thing? Are we in Job? Job is, has been working. So I'm going to keep going with Joe. Okay. I will warn. We think he's going to make this start. Even if the Yankees are clinched into a spot, right? Cause right now he's not in their top three starters.

39:11So they need him to pitch over the weekend. It doesn't really matter. So what also happened? He's fresh. What also happened was that he pitched a relief yesterday and I guess the dying backs. And then I believe it was in relief or could have been, I don't know, was it? No, it was in relief. I thought. And then we also have the double header for the Yankees. So it's, it's one of those cases where like, all right, they need him to actually start into make sure everything is, is good to go. Okay. No, he started that game. I'm sorry. You guys almost really started that one for point one innings. He had a tough fifth. That's what I was thinking. Sorry. Question will start here. Or do you want to talk about the last three names on here, Burke, Faw and Cantilla? No, let's keep moving on. I mean, Cantilla is looking better now. He's kind of back. So cool. Great. You throw in the curve on the zone again. And Burke, good enough. So good enough. You move good enough. Good enough. Andrew Alvarez against the Met starts the question. We'll start here. Michael and Grieby against the brewers, Jake Bennett against the Cubs, Yuri Perez against the Braves, Emerson Hancock against the Angels, Matthew Boyd against the Red Sox, Jacob Lopez against the Astros, Nicoladolo against the

40:17Blue Jays, Casey Meis against the Diamondbacks. You know, the Jacob Lopez experience has, has, it's gone sour. A little bit. Yes. Yeah. This start is in Sacramento. We mentioned a couple starts ago that it might be time to jump off. And so obviously we're continuing that here. Andrew Alvarez, I get it. You know, the, the starts have been getting longer for Andrew Alvarez. The Met's, you know, they're fine, but you know, they're better than they were in their, in their doldrums this year, but they're not in offense. You really need to avoid. I still don't know if it's a great chance at a win, but he's been getting strikeouts. I don't know that the Met's are going to like pummel him. And so I, I don't know. I, I, I think you could almost, maybe not probable. I get it. I mean, I kind of want to, I get it. Andrew Alvarez came through again yesterday. So are rather the day before on Saturday. It's very possible. I mean, I, I don't know if they're going to limit him. I don't know if they're actually going to let him go all the way through.

41:17They have, they have limited him earlier in the year, maybe not now. Maybe it's one of those things that nobody need to get your innings. It's, it's interesting. If you're chasing strikeouts, that's good. I mean, Michael McGreeby, for example, has an argument to for probable start, because Michael McGreeby is someone who can go six innings, can roll the ground balls, all I kind of stuff to. So it's, there are a lot of arguments we made here. The Casey Meyers at the bottom of this. If velocity has been very questionable and I don't know if that's, he's okay. He's been going back and forth. Nick Lodola hasn't gotten the feel of his curve ball. So he's there. We don't know what we're going to get. Matthew Boyd has been a home run arm without the whiffs. And it's annoying. Emerson Hancock's returning, but like, what are we going to get? Hancock's been out. He's been out for about a month. There's been no rehab assignment. He's through bullpen and he's pitching against the angels. I would normally love this spot. I just don't know. Maybe you're going to, maybe we're going to get four innings. I don't know. I mean, sometimes they throw more than you think it's, yeah. Who knows? Perez, who should be better and he's not. And it's just one of those like, you know, we know it, it's likely not going to work out,

42:21but we know the ceiling is so good. If it does, so fine, you're here. I mean, it's questionable for all for a reason and do not start. It's really an extension of it in many ways of he and what's not. Yeah. Command is everything. And it's you have Bubba Chandler at a decent matchup. Bubba Chandler has gone like two good starts all year. Stop. Stop. I do rubber gasses. And the people will want to know because he's still almost 50% rostered. So because they've gone away looking at their teams. Yeah. Yeah. It's also far and away the largest, the highest roster rate of the do not start here. And I think there are probably some fantasy managers and 15 team leagues who've been holding on to him because the waiver wire is pretty barren and might see Detroit and think, okay, okay, but he's in your do not start here. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. We move on to the weekend then Saturday. Seven auto starts. A gig of Mizorowski against the Cardinals, Tarek, scubul against the Giants, Jacob DeGrom, against Minnesota, Gavin Williams against the Royals,

43:23Christopher Sanchez against the raise Griffin, Jackson, against the Phillies and Hunter Brown in Sacramento against the athletics. We're going to note here like we've noted earlier in the show. Most of these guys are starters on teams that have made the playoffs or will make the playoffs, depending on how those teams want to line up their rotations. These guys may not start. They may throw a glorified bullpen in a live game and then be taken out of the game. We just saw Jacob Mizorowski not throw a lot on Sunday night baseball. I don't expect this to be a full start against the Cardinals, but it's the Cardinals. And so he could strike out eight in four innings on like 47 pitches. Right. So, you know, but this is all just it's we're talking about Saturday games on Monday. You've got to just track the news and the standings and the results and all that as the week goes on to see if you're really going to start these players in these

44:24games. Yeah, absolutely. I mean, it's it's who knows who knows guys. It's just good luck. And I cannot emphasize enough. I'll be around. I'll be doing my list today and updating that one article every single day. I'm writing the blurs for all of them too, which is silly. I know because I'm going to rewrite so many of them, whatever. 48:30Because who doesn't? Who doesn't? Yeah, I get it. The more interesting one is who maybe should be probable start after his last yeah, Eric's the most I knew you'd be happy about Jose Sauriana just kidding. It is Brian Bale. Yes, Brian was the top of the questionable start here. A tick up Eric. He was a tick up. Yeah, 11 strikeouts. I know. Oh my gosh, tell me more. Well, I almost couldn't tell you more because I hit my microphone and it was like, we're done. But I mean, it's hard to listen. We have gone back and forth about Brian Bale a lot on the show. I this is the best I ever saw Brian Bale. Yeah, right. This kind of like adds into, I think, my article for the off season about pictures who go into the bullpen and even though he was not a reliever in the sense that he was throwing just like one or two innings at a time, he was a reliever in that he was, you know, throwing limited amounts of innings. He was coming out of the bullpen all often coming in with runners on base. And I think he just focused on attacking the zone more.

49:32We talked about the way when he was a starter that he didn't attack the Netflix documentary. They had Andrew Bailey and Alex Korra like being like, why is he not just like filling up the zone? Like why is he not attacking the zone? And so I do think that he got ahead more often. I think that we also just saw him kind of avoid just try and get away from like, I need to make the change up a thing again. I need to make the change up a thing. I just like, you would have forced that change up. Yeah. But since he was recalled from the minor leagues, he's pitched in 13 games, 51 and a third ofnings. It's a 2.28 ERA. It's just 1.9 walks per nine innings. It's 8 strikeouts per nine, which is not a lot, but that's better than what he was doing before. And he's still limiting the hard contact. I think this is the version of Brian Bale that we had been hoping to see before, which is not an ace, but somebody who is just a rock solid starter.

50:39I don't know. I still don't know if it's something I can trust. Like it's just I've been through it too much with him. But you know, I get it. Also, we should keep in mind just because I saw it this morning, the weather in Boston for these games, there's supposed to be a massive storm blowing through. Oh, I'll call my people. And so and the Cubs may need these games for standing's purposes. And so they may be playing in a lot of incumbent weather, which is something to just keep in mind here. But yeah, Brian Bale, it's, I think you got to trust them at this point of time. So what's so interesting is Brian Bale in this game, I had to look this up. He threw only five pitches when he was behind in the count, the entire game of 93. And behind in the count is defined by me as either 2021 or 31. One of those bats were three of those pitches to the walls in the eighth inning. So that means only three batters saw one of a 2021 or 31.

51:42That's it. No one else got it. Like it's absolutely insane. You saw one to one pitch to a hurry Mateo and all right, then that was that. And then you had a four seamer at two. Oh, that was a ground out to a remix. And like the sinker was fouled to the two. Mateo, I mean, that's it. That's insane. I mean, you want to talk about getting ahead and attacking batters. Like that's it. You just don't get ever get behind on them. Yeah. So that meant that he could throw all these four seamer's upstairs and in Bayo could attack with that four seamer and strike batters out with it. Which you did time six strikeouts on four seamer's because of the 97. It wasn't at 95.5. Crazy. He had an extra inch of vert on it. He was throwing it upstairs. It was a change up that was sitting beautifully down a way to write hand or love tanders rather. He had a sweeper going down on glove side. Like I see a start like this. And you can have two interpretations. You can be like, oh man, he's locked in. Or this is clearly a peak game. Can it be can it be both foam?

52:43No, it can be though. I mean, because it's peak days, he's locked into his peak is what you're saying. Well, no, I'm saying he's clearly locked in and pitching really well right now. But even though, but even keeping that in mind, what this is is beyond what we should expect from that that's pretty much what I'm trying to say. Yeah. Like this is a peak game. It's going to come down. He's locked in, but now like this, like it's still carrying a lot of the, yeah, the questions that we have before. What should we expect from Ryan Johnson in Seattle? He's also in your question. We'll start. Oh man, Ryan Johnson, you know, what are we going to do with you? What are we going to do with you? Anytime we give you any praise, I'm like, nah, I got it. I'm good. You know, just not it's not like being the center of attention. Ryan, oh my gosh. RJ, get it together. Look, I still have 14 whips in that game, which is almost his season high of 15. Like that's the second most he's had. He had 14 the previous game. I mean, it was back up to 94 plus in that game too. So I actually feel okay about it. I didn't really want to ding him much and it's at Seattle. I think like that's, that's just still be good.

53:45Yep. Jose Soriano again, Cincinnati here. Interesting again, just because there's a decent, you know, win chance against a struggling red team. Jonah Tongue against the nationals. I had to blurb that game for us on Roto World yesterday. The command is just if you man 61% strikes overall fell behind with the force himer a lot. You know, the secondaries show the ability to miss bats, but are you going to get good fastball command against the nationals or not? There's no way to know if you get command, he could pitch well in that start. And that's the role of the dice. Yeah. Kate Anderson against the angels though. I might have higher up if I was you. I might I don't know how much to lean into that one game that he just said. It was better. And I'm going to agree with you against Alcantara and the Nostalgia Alcantara. I'll come to the matchup is so like we know I know I'm going to be limited in his pitch

54:47cap. But here's the thing. So like Kate Anderson is not another good matchups and he has them well. And the one time he doesn't have a good matchup in course is when he does well. And I pretty much tells me it's about him executing him. And it's I don't know. Well, like we've seen it back and forth. Now one thing I will mention that I have said before and I should be giving it more wait now is I like when guys are past their adversity. Right. So he comes up and he has this thing, whatever, and then he struggles. And then he has this good start. And generally that is the moment and mentally to have the confidence to do well. So I pushed him up above Tongue. It's Ryan Johnson versus Kate Anderson. It's kind of funny that I have Ryan Johnson ahead right now. And that feels a little wrong. But all right, I'm going to do this Eric. I'm going to put Bale and Kate Anderson into probable start for you. Woo. We're doing it. We're making changes. We're making changes guys. Love it. We love to see it. Is Martijn Perez in the questionable start because the last outing was not five innings.

55:48And are you worried they're going to limit him in some way? There's always that. There's also the fact that like he's good at wins in ERA, but not a whip and strikeouts. Sure. So it's like it's not even, you know, if you get the normal Martijn Perez, it's not even necessarily like across the board productive. So. All right. So let's ask. I want to ask you a question here. You had clay homes in probable start facing the Marlins. You have Martijn Perez in questionable start facing the Marlins. Martijn Perez has objectively been better than clay homes. It's a great, great point here. But clay homes is it a better, more security that he's going to go deep enough into the game to secure with. Absolutely. I just think he's a better pitcher. Okay. That's fair. Corbin Burns is the big name here in questionable start as well. We're getting a little bit deeper into games. So there's a chance he goes five here, but the last outing wasn't particularly good. And the Padres are a pretty good team. And so I get that. Well, the thing also is that I mean, I have the roundup coming out today, of course.

56:51And the lessons we burned is the is the roundup title because I mean, I was watching this one live when he allowed all of those. And it's, it's kind of funny to me because I was watching this. I was just thinking about 2019 Corbin Burns. He's down to 91 on the cutter. 91. This isn't like 94 or 95. This is like 91 on this cutter, which is really just a cut for Seamer. It's not a good pitch anymore. And it's, it was a home run ball back then. It's a home run ball now. I'm kind of tempted to just leave them off the list. I started a list, sorry, the, the question will start here. Wow, the list. I, man, guys, next year we are going to switch the formats so that we can talk about the list again, just so you guys know. But we're also, I'm going to make sure we have this podcast too. 57:54And we will take your feedback to heart. But anyway, I just moved Corbin Burns to the top of the, you know, start just looking at one more time of yesterday. You said, yeah, what am I doing? The cutter was bad. Yeah. It's just like, really, I can't trust this can do it. I just want to ask you two straight good starts for Jack Perkins. We're not buying into it. Those were away. Yes. Okay. One, make sure. Iconally early is on here. Do not start. This is just coming back from injury. You know, you're not going to get a long outing here. And it's been so long. There's no clue to know what you're going to get from him. And so yes, I get it. It's your standard one day game of like, oh, we're back in, you know, it's just all that conversation. It's, it's kind of wild. And you're going to hear a lot of, I don't know. I never know what the fantasy industry is going to say. I really, I try to predict it every single year. Are you going to get hyped by it? Are you not? In my view, I'm like, look, if he's back to normal velocity and everything is just like it's kind of the early, just less of it. Then I am going to be very much in for 2027.

58:56I can also see a lot of people getting in on it too, because they're like, yeah, whatever, why do we care? Especially if it's a some sort of shortened season. But then on the other side of it's like, oh, we can't see on the field. He's unhealthy. He wasn't very good when he was healthy or so in 2026, which is just silly. And so I don't know what's going to happen. I just hope he does well. I hope he has fun. I hope he has fun. I hope he has fun. I'm moving on to Sunday. We're going to go quick through Sunday, because again, this is just a reminder that the vast majority of these guys will, will not pitch. Yeah. I was trying to highlight the ones that we feel like are going to. And that's true. So he should also just note, and machine is on this list. And machine is being demoted. He is going to pitch for Oklahoma City in the triple A playoffs. He is potentially going to pitch for the Dodgers on their postseason roster. My guess is he does not make this start for the Dodgers on Sunday. He would need somebody to be placed on the IL to get called back up. And if he pitches during the.

59:57Yeah, he just got sent down. But he will he got sent to it was the bereavement list though. Does that reset the 15 day minimum? Oh, that's interesting. I don't know the answer to it. Yeah. I have to look that up. But just keep an eye on when he pitches for Oklahoma City in the triple A playoffs. Cause depending on when that game is, we'll determine how quickly he can come back. And if the Dodgers want him on the postseason roster, maybe they get him a tune up start. Maybe they don't because they're going to get a buy. So there's some interesting things within this. I do expect Jared Jones to make this start against the Tigers on Sunday. Jared Jones is one of those he needs innings guys because he missed all of last year with it with surgery. And so it makes sense for them to try to give him innings here in the probable start tier. You know, it Michael Soroka is here against the Padres. Michael King is here against the Diamondbacks. That is going to depend on what happens in the wild card race between those two teams.

1:00:57And whether that game is meaningful or not. And so you're going to need to, you know, keep things locked and check out the results to know that for sure. A Zebe Matthews ahead of the questionable start tier against the Rangers. I think Zebe Matthews is going to pitch. They have no reason not to pitch him. He's a young guy who needs MLB innings. And then honestly, like anybody else in this questionable start tier could be limited or removed. Yeah. I mean, it's, it's, I don't know. I mean, they're going to have heavier aside, likely just go as far as you can. Because this is a case where they want those innings fulfilled. They don't want the bullpen exhausted as much as possible, et cetera. Mackenzie Gore has been going through this year and they might just pull him, as you said. Anthony Kay might be needed for the playoffs. Maybe he won't go with this. You say, could coach you certainly going to go long in this, I think, like this podcast. And that is going to be, uh, that is going to be in Seattle. So not a bad start. Right. And the one that I know that you already mentioned, but Michael Soroka at San Diego Padres, I'm actually really interested in.

1:02:02Because he did pitch well, but it was on the 19th. And I wonder if they're going to have him up here before then. It's, I'm trying to remember, I'm so sorry. It's that course on on Tuesday and being so dumb. But he looked really good in his last one. I said, so Roke painting one of my favorite roundup titles in a while. I was like, oh, I actually have a unique one finally. So this one would be him needing the innings. And we know that he can go deep into it. The Padres might be resting. Like this is a scenario where there's a good picture in the, like all the things are coming together in a way that this on paper is looks worse than it actually would be. Yeah. And I should just note in the do not start tier, you have trea savage. That's another pitcher who needs the innings. And I would expect he's going to pitch. We're going to keep an eye on how, how long he goes in the next outing. If he, you know, we talked about 35 pitches in the rehab outing. If he gets to like 50 in this next outing, maybe he gets to 60 65.

1:03:03So you're still that's three innings for his average. Yeah. You're still not looking at a full outing, but against the reds. Like it's just a name. I'm still wouldn't even put him above questionable. But it's just a name to keep in mind, depending on how the first outing of the week looks. Right. And like, for example, I could see the, the Orioles shutting him down. Right. Troy Melton could be. I mean, he hasn't been pitching well anyway. Brandon Molimson will be, it doesn't look like Chase Burns is going to be the opener for that one. So that's a full on start for him. They'll be going against a week Dodgers lineup and he'll probably go. Daniel Lynch, the fifth, fourth rather will certainly go. And the guardians could be, you know, resting, et cetera. Janssen junk, they haven't allowed to go for the entire season. So why would they go now and Jair Richie, they likely will send. Jake Irvin, they will send Cal Freeland, whatever they'll send. Patrick Sandibel, of course, they'll send. Right. I Brady Basso, he's going to have that miraculous, oh my gosh, Brady Basso saved my team. I don't know why I'm doing that accent because I was mispronouncing his name and I leaned into the accent.

1:04:03That is why I did that. But yeah, I want to say, give me that. Brassel, Lena. Yeah. And we should note about Christian Javier. Astros only one game out of a playoff spot right now. So they may need him to go. But if that is a game where they need to win, that's going to be, he goes as long as he needs to and then they, it's all hands on deck so they can get into the post season. So that's just something to keep in mind there. Who said in that division of the Rangers? Oh my gosh. Yeah. So that is interesting here for McKenzie Gore is scheduled to start this one. I wonder what happens to like the perception of baseball. If no team, the ALS gets 80 wins. I mean, we've seen it happen in other divisions before, haven't we? No team gets 80 wins. I've seen I remember like 81 83 over 500 maybe. Was that like the AL central before? I feel like what they're when they're 80 wins. It's just, you know what they can do.

1:05:04This conversation for another podcast, but the MLB really needs to think about receding the post season after the first round because oh yeah, the, the raise Yankees and Red Sox all have 84 wins or more. They are the three best teams in the American League. Two of them are going to be facing each other in the wildcard round and then the winner is going to face the raise. And it's just kind of like why so that the 78 and 78 Texas Rangers, because they want a division will get a better matchup and home field. Like no, that need we need to, we need to shake that up. Yeah. It's really messed. I mean, what you're really describing though is like not even divisions though, right? Well, it's just no, it's more, it's just receding the playoff. Well, I mean, it feels bad. It's like the Yankees and the Red Sox in the first round. You also could do, you also could do what the NBA does. And the playoff seating is not actually impacted by if you win the division or not. Like you make the post season.

1:06:05That's what I'm getting at. Yeah, the playoff seating is just you are in the Eastern Conference. So here, like, you are in the American League and you are the top 18. Right. It should be the race and the Yankees get the buy. It probably should. It really, I mean, come on. Well, to be honest here, like it's even harder, I would argue, to be second in the division and have more wins than another team in that wins a division. Right? Because they have the deal with the team as the winning the division to mean something and means me make the playoffs. Yeah. I think what they want is it means you get a home field advantage in the playoff. I know, but like it's not stupid. I think I think I'm I think I'm coming around to agreeing that winning the division gets you in the post season. That's enough of an advantage. And the seating should just be who are the best teams? If you ask me, I think if you if you finish above 500, you make the playoffs and that's it. And then you can do all this wonderful seating of buys and one game playoffs, which, let's be honest, we miss that. We all miss as baseball fans.

1:07:06There's nothing better than a game seven. One game like do or die. I miss it terribly. And it would get all the ratings. It would be so successful. Everyone will love it. Every team makes the playoffs that finishes above 500. And then you still have the buys for the other teams. Like you don't want to be in there. You're going to be fighting not to be a part of the lower seeds. That's how you do it. Just make me commissioner, guys. Do it. Megan commissioner.
