In this episode of the Preacher Boys Podcast, host Eric Skwarczynski sits down with Travis Chappell (host of the Travis Makes Money podcast) to dig into the financial side of high-control religious environments—specifically how sermons on tithing, offerings, and "giving by faith" can be used to manipulate and financially pressure congregants.
Eric and Travis break down real sermon clips from pastors preaching controversial and occasionally predatory theology on the topic, including telling people to pay their tithe before their bills, teaching homeless individuals to tithe 10% of their income, and to give so God keeps protecting their families... which sounds a bit like the Mafia, don't you think?
