Come and get it. Has there been another person in the history of the world with greater public humiliation than you? No, I don't think so. I think you take the award. My digital life for 20 years without context or preamble. Utilized by the most vicious people in politics in the history of the world. It was all about me, dad. None of it was about me, but I was the one on the front page in the New York Post smoking a crack fight. Six months ago, they were talking about me and purely negative terms. And six months later, whether it's a joke or not people are asking whether or not I'm going to run for president. And that can fuck up your head. If you let it, we have to kind of get to a little bit of the midi gritty here. I personally was very disappointed to hear about your crypto venture and laptop and how it collapsed. And I want to give you a chance to speak for yourself. How do you justify what you did and the choices you made around it? Okay. So number one, it hasn't completely crashed in burn. That's 80% of 20,000 deals that were done in the first 24 hours.
People will lose money. Hey there, it's me, Rain Wilson. And I want to dig into the human experience. I want to have conversations about a spiritual revolution. Let's get deep with our favorite thinkers, friends, and entertainers about life, meaning, and idiocy. Welcome to the SoulBoom podcast. A quick shout out to our sponsors, Zach Dock, Cowboy Colostro Fencer, Links and promo codes on the screen and in the description. Enjoy the show. Hunter Biden, welcome to SoulBoom. I'm so happy to be here. Thanks for having me. This is not what I saw on my bingo card. Was you sitting here across from me, but I'm really excited to talk to you about many things. I'm like, Wes, thank you for having me. How's your dad doing? See, I answer this question and everybody, you know, it's as if they've heard me say,
well, he has stage four cancer. And I'm like, you know, Hunter Biden is, you know, there was a whole big thing when I said that his cancer had spread to his bones. That's metastatic bone cancer. People didn't realize that I think spread and metastasized. This is the same word. Which was the original diagnosis. His stage four prostate cancer has been treated very successfully. And his PSA, I think, is down to a zero. It's through radiation. And his team of doctors at University of Pennsylvania and Jefferson have done an incredible job. Metastatic bone cancer, however, is a very different thing. You can only treat it by stopping it from continuing to spread. And that takes hormone therapy. And hormone therapy is basically when they bring your testosterone down to zero. And it is a really uncomfortable thing for any man to go through, for anyone to go through.
And there's a whole host of other things. It's just from fatigue to, you know, soreness and things like that. I say to everybody, I wish he would complain more. But, you know, but other than that, I mean, I don't know that. Yeah, but he's good. He's good. And he calls me and asks me how I'm doing. And it's tough. You know, one of the things that my mom said to me at one point was really interesting. I said, how is it that there's not a book about, you know, what are the instructions as we get old, as we grow old together, as your parents get older, as your, you know, your spouse gets older, you know, like the, not, like, what to expect when we're expecting. What to expect, you know, when the most important kind of, and it, and it's really interesting because it's all a mystery, right?
Yeah, yeah. Yeah. My wife and I now share senior moments. Now that we're both in our 60s. And like, who's the guy who was in the thing, you know, the show with the, the guy needs the detective and that, oh, yeah, and the actor, who's the, yeah, who's the, what's the name of it? And then we're both on our phones going like, oh, it's, and Harris, that's what I think. You know, we, we get to, yeah, it's very true. We have to kind of get to a little bit of the nitty gritty here. I personally was very disappointed to hear about your crypto venture and laptop and how it collapsed. Yeah. And I want to give you a chance to speak for yourself. But you're talking about like doing your duty and making choices. Like, how did you come to the idea that this was going to be, yeah, this was going to be a great idea. Yeah. Even though it's crashed and burned across any kind of political or public figure who's done it, yeah, and even people that we don't know
that this, this atmosphere of crypto, crypto ventures is, yeah, it's for test and chaotic and, yeah, how do you justify what you, what you did and the choices you made around it? Okay. So number one, it hasn't completely crashed and burned. So it still exists. And so let me tell you the structure and much, how much is a, one, one meme coin of right now of laptop? It's, it's had an FDV of about $252 million. And so it's has a, it's, it still has significant value. That's left it. But let me, let me explain the whole thing. Okay. Because you're right. Is it. Number one is that the tokenomics, what they call it, of my coin are literally flipped or the reverse of every other celebrity meme coin and thing that's been out there. So just so you understand is that instead of 80% or 90% going all to the insiders, there's 30% of my coin that remains with the insiders to provide for liquidity at the end of the day,
of which nobody can take any money out for two years. Okay. So nobody in the community, so I don't benefit in any way. Now what it does do though is that in the immediate, I was able to give ultimately over the first three months what we've been doing is what we will give away is 20% of the entire value of the coin to community. Directly to people, no strings to tell you. So there's a charitable component. No, that's the, that's just that. And then there's a charitable component, a minimum of five percent up to potentially 35%. More likely it'll be in the 20% of all the charity. So if this coin hit, okay. And still today say that, say that that FDV, you just do the math. Say it's 10% that goes to charity. I don't know if TV is. FTV, the fully diluted value over the course of the coin when you're able to start to divest the and extract the money for whatever purpose for the charity. So 10%. What is that? 20 million dollars I get to give charity or two million dollars or whatever it may be.
It is an enormous upside in benefit to the things that I truly, truly, truly care about. And what I wanted to do more than anything as a believer in cryptocurrency, I truly do believe in cryptocurrency and the blockchain. Absolutely. You do. Yeah, 100%. And we can go into that. It's a whole nother discussion. But I come to it honestly from that perspective. I wanted to troll Trump. I wanted to show that you could do this in a way that you actually gave money to people rather than a really massive attraction. No, but it hasn't. No, millions of people think. Yes, by the way, millions of people think that you, yeah. That you just tried to game the system the same as one of the Trumps. And here's the deal everyone has lost their wallet. And again, not be indefensive about it because I appreciate where you come from. Is this is it what happened on in the first minute of the launch of the coin is what you do is you provide liquidity to a market maker. And that market maker is responsible for basically buying and selling the coin on the open market.
And they have to put liquidity into the market. So we gave them 15.5 million tokens and a and cash value of a million dollars to put into liquidity into the into the pool. They put in 30,000 tokens and $5,000. So when one person made a $10 purchase of the coin or a $20 purchase of $20 worth of value of the coin, the coin went from 50 million dollars where we launched it at to $23 billion. And then another person came in and made a couple other purchase at the coin at that price. And it's shot up to $316 billion in market cap higher artificially than any other token has ever gone by I think like probably a factor of five. Okay. And this larger than the market cap of this is a bad thing. Oh, yeah, horrible. And so in the first 30 seconds. Now in that 30 seconds, it's three minutes later, it comes down 99.5%.
Because they got the liquidity back into the market and then it started trading and it continues after hour one trading exactly as it's supposed to trade now. And so it exists that artificial exists. And so here's the deal. I think any of those other motherfuckers that launched coins and then walked away from it and said, like, I didn't know what I was getting myself into. And this is a bullshit thing. And I, you know, I like, I don't know what the fuck they were talking about. This is my responsibility, 100%. I was literally involved in the mechanics of it, the making of it, the structure of it from the beginning of the time in which we thought about doing this. And ultimately at the end of the day, it's my responsibility. So what I'm going to do is I will literally show completely, transparently, every single wallet that traded on it to make it clear that no one that has any controller with this coin has made any money in it. And anybody that lost money in it, I'm going to be able to identify and hopefully make right. And so that's 80% of 20,000 deals that were done in the first 24 hours.
People lost money. Yeah, exactly. But by the way, it's a very limited. So 95% of the of the training that occurred that caused that it was all bots. So what they call snipers, it was literally not even human beings. And so of the of the real people, I'm going to figure it out. Yeah, and take it. And people can hold me to account for it because you're absolutely right. Is it I've spent six months being what I feel like is almost uniquely radically honest about, you know, every my whole everything. And I'm going to be uniquely radically honest about that. That's great. And people can can and you're right, man. But here it is. You know what? It's like that thing you said, was there is there an ego part about this? Yeah. Is there a money part? Is it an opportunity to do good and well? And at the same time, or do do well and good at the same time? Could I make the argument that it is literally a meme coin is a joke. It's the whole the whole conception of it. It's like a trading card. It has no value. Don't buy my coin. It's literally a good. Everybody said don't buy my coin.
The first video that I did on the coin was supposed to launch it was supposed this was the video. Fuck Donald Trump, fuck Don junior, fuck Eric, fuck Melania, fuck Melania's coin, fuck that Trump coin. I mean, it was like this whole thing. And obviously what ended up happening was the worst possible scenario. If you had to drop it up, the worst possible mistake that this market maker was gross negligence on their part. Could have done is our loss to happen. Potentially. Yeah. And yeah. Yeah. 100%. But I want them to make it right. I want them to make it right. And so. But you're right, man. But I saw well and good. And I love that transparency and that you're trying to make things right. And unlike so many other meme coins that have been dropped. Yeah. But you know, I do question. You know, for an addict to enter a world that is so addict-ridden, you know, this roller coaster of crypto, it feels a little bit like Hunter Biden's gambling app, you know.
Yeah. And I take that. And I take that. Yeah. And I think it's a little bit like the World of Games of Las Vegas. Yeah. And, you know, I love the idea of you painting for 12 hours a day. And I know you got to make somebody. You got to support your family. Yeah. But I understand that. It's again. Although I was going to have a Dwight Shrewd themed meme coin called beat coin. Yeah. I actually looked into beat coin. Yeah. I was like, yeah, I'm not going to get in. I'm not going to go in this direction. Yeah. I just thought it was such a fucking great troll. I still do think that it could be. And, but I, yeah. You know what? That's the thing too. Is that I make choices. And now I got it. Not now. Is there any other time? Is that one of the things that I know is this? Is it I got to own them. I love the consequences. And I got to live with the consequences. And I've found that the only real way that I can live with the consequences and live with myself is to, you know,
like, open the commoto, you know, which I've done. And I read early and figuratively. So for me and this one, everybody will get to see every single thing from an independent third party within, I hopefully within the week. Every single trade, I hope to be able to make everything right. And I, and I'm absolutely certain that the coin itself still has the ability to do what I set out in the intention that I had for it. And so yeah. I try to avoid partisan politics on the show. We can't help but slip into it occasionally. But you have been such a champion of an advocate of Americans coming together on a deeper level. And you have said time and time again, we are not as divided as it has been painted that we are. And what do we do? What are the next steps? How do we heal these divisions?
Yeah. Yeah. I think through talking to each other, you know, I mean, one of the reasons that I've gone and talked on platforms with people that I vehemently disagree with is for that exact reason is to model that. And I've lost some friends over it. Maybe not lost friends. Friends are very upset with me. And you go on so and so show. This is a person who I go and this and that and the thing. And they're obviously racist. So you're platforming. Yeah. Yeah. How dare you forget the fact that I don't have my, you know, a platform. But I, but you know, and I get it. I think part of what I, what I feel is this is that those who are sincere in their, in their apology or sincere in their having kind of woken up to the reality of, of this leadership that we currently have. I think that we're going to have to deserve our grace doesn't mean that people shouldn't be held accountable. It doesn't mean that there shouldn't be any reconciliation that occurs in the future by virtue of what it is, which I think is, is a sin.
And what they're, what they're doing to something that I deeply, deeply care about. And that's this country and our constitutional republic and the idea that we all have a shared kind of responsibility to each other. And, and, and if, and if you don't. And if you don't realize that that shared responsibility applies to everyone. And not just your cohort. Then what, what, what are the, what are the chances for a future? Like I have to believe that we aren't nearly divided. And I know that we aren't by virtue of being out there. Yeah. And I just in your own life. And that's what when you speak to people. And when you talk about the streets, we're all just human beings, we're all Americans. I mean there's some just jackassers out there. Sure. And it's just jackasses and, and they're generally all on X. Yeah, they're all on X and, and the people who, um, who revel in the cruelty.
And fuck them. You know what I mean? But really, if you think about it from anonymously revel in the cruelty. Some of them anonymously and almost, yes, almost all of them anonymously and usually, but the reality is, it's just, I want people to reflect upon their own lives. And which they are existent in the world. And the truth of the matter is, is that, that nine out of 10 people that you come into contact with an on any given day. You know, or decent good people. Like that, that would, that would pull you out of traffic. If you were, or, or return your phone. If you left it at the car, the counter at Starbucks or, and, you know, or, that would get up and give you their seat on the subway. If you were, you know, if you had a cast on, I really believe that. And I also believe this. It's just look at the issues. And if you just look at the polling, what is it? 85% of people, 75% of people believe that we should have a health care system.
And which people have access to emergency medical care and preventative medicine. Like the rest of the industrialized world. You know, 85% of the people believe, and you can go down that list. I can make a list of 10. I work a lot in climate change. And, you know, 60, 65% of Americans think that it's a very real threat and a very real issue. Exactly. And are willing to make some sacrifices and spend some money around it. Yeah. But meanwhile, and I think what this current administration does really well is kind of now the debate is like, is Trump's name going to be on the Kennedy Center or not. And that's all just kind of like, look over here. Look over here. Trump's name on the Kennedy Center. What they're doing is they're dismantling the environmental protection agency. And in so doing, they're making a lot of money. And it's this underhanded way of undermining, you know, our grandchildren's future on the planet, our national parks, you know, our natural resources. Exactly. And we're all looking at like, is his name going to go on the Kennedy Center, but the EPA has just been absolutely gutted.
And that doesn't even make the papers. Yeah. He's going to invade Greenland and look over here. Look over here. Yeah. And, and, you know, I tear down the East Wing and put a cage match on the South Lawn. I own this place. You know what I mean? And try to tell me any different. Meanwhile, you know, our voting rights are being, you know, gutted. Exactly. By the way, what you pointed out, what they've done to the EPA, what they've done to the FDA, what they've done to all of these letter agencies that 95% of people couldn't name what the letter stand for. And I'm not saying because they're dumb. It's just because they they haven't granted. They've been working in the bank. Clean air, your clean water, your parks. Look at what they're doing to the parks right now. And if we attribute it all to just simple, like kind of a cruelty of stupidity, we're missing the point. It's all about money. It's all about power. It's all about a very, very few people in this country. And that's the thing, by the way, who does all this benefit?
There are 948, I think, is the latest number of families that are in the United States of America that are truly billionaires. 948 out of 350 million of us. And they hold it in anordinate, anordinate amount of power. And I always point out to people, is the distance between being in the 1% and the 0.1% is like the distance between here and Pluto, not the moon, not even Mount Everest. It is, and top 1% of incomeers in this country make $750,000 a year, which if you live where we are right now, is a nice middle class income. It really is. And I really mean it in the sense of people that are making a hundred and fifty, we go, well, what the fuck are you talking about? That's rich. But really, you know, you have three kids in a four bedroom house in Sherman Oaks and you know, send them private school and you know,
have two cars and you know, commute to downtown LA like, like, you're spending all that money. But that's your top 1% of incomeers outside of that. Where you get into the stratosphere, those people literally don't pay, they, not by virtue of them cheating, but by virtue of the rules. They don't pay income tax. They don't have incomes. Elon Musk pays himself $0.00 in income tax. Because why would he? I've been taking cowboy colostrum for a while and colostrum is not a word I imagined becoming part of my daily vocabulary. And yet here we are. Every morning I put a little in my coffee or in a smoothie. And the biggest difference I've noticed is my digestion. It's feeling more consistent. I feel more regulated. And my stomach and I are getting along, which after almost six decades together is kind of touching. And the benefits go beyond digestion. People report less bloating, more regularity, feeling healthier overall, and even getting sick less often. Cowboy uses full fat colostrum with naturally occurring immunoglobulins and growth factors. And before you write an angry letter on behalf of America's calves, the calves get fed first.
Cowboy only collects the surplus. So the baby cows are fine. So for a limited time, our listeners get up to 25% off their entire order. Because he takes loans off of this of equity and the company is as he's allowed to and I'm not saying they're breaking any laws. But the income tax is the vast majority of the revenue of this country. So we're taking that revenue from working people. And and what we're doing is we're providing for tax cuts for corporations and the top point zero five percent. And we have a forty trillion dollar debt and you know what and that's the reason why we can't pay for health care for people. That's the reason that at 90% is anybody happy with the way that insurance companies work in in in the health care system works today in the United States of America.
No one is no one. It doesn't matter whether you don't you pay for it zero for it or you are paying the nine thousand eight hundred dollars to get a cat scan to see whether or not. You know that lump on your breast is is X Y or C and you can get that appointment and and and three weeks and if you miss it by five minutes, you got to wait another month. For all of us. So not to be partisan in this I think that that's so much of what we're talking about now it has nothing to do with partisanship. It has to do with a realization that the entirety of the policy debate that occurs in Washington DC is completely funded and co opted and controlled by a literal handful of individuals in corporations that have an anordinate amount of power in directing the debate or what even comes up for debate by the way in which they fund political parties.
This whole idea when you say politicians are corrupt is everybody has this old boss you know a tweed kind of like our or Huey a lot from the long and you know you're like giving them envelopes and you know they're you know it's not. They're funding campaigns they're controlling the narrative of of entire political parties by virtue of a great example and I don't know how much time we have to talk about this but I think that the greatest example is this. I've got to always forget her name but she was the whistleblower from Facebook that came to testifying twenty twenty three about the exponential growth of a teen suicide and mental health issues, especially among adolescent girls you got it yeah meta Facebook did its own and and turn on investigation very very deep one and they concluded that yes she was right she was that all of these documents showed that that it's exactly what was happening yeah they were responsible for this for killing our daughters.
Yeah you know what they did nothing buried it nothing and you know what Congress did nothing yeah. Now if you don't think that we're controlled by money and interest then how do you explain that how is it possible we are allowing them to get away with what we and they know yeah directly responsible for killing. Kids yeah yeah. It's like oh my god and you can say it would never happen with like a chemical company if there was a chemical that was killing tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of youth but it does. It does all the time it happens all the time yeah I think one of the solutions and maybe this is how you can help I'm going to give you a mission you know it has to do with how we get our information and. This kind of bifurcation of the fox news kind of versus msnbc where people just don't trust news sources or else they sign up for it and like you turn on fox and it's like there's a migrant caravano of.
Trans democratic socialists coming over the border and everyone's like and they buy it hookline and sinker willingly engage with that could there be created a trusted news source and the the point of that news source is like we are going to be center we're going to show both sides whatever information we deliver is going to be 100% verified we we're going to kind of. Approach news with integrity yeah that we don't have anything like that I mean I I subscribe to the AP I think AP is really good it's a great place to get. It had line you you just get the information god bless them but couldn't there be something like couldn't there be folks like yourself and you know other you know journalists and and media experts backing something like this because. People are being pulled in so many different directions that you don't trust the information that I don't know you would know better than I whether there's a business model for that stupid actor no that's not true you've been out here part of it has to do with the business model of media not just a new media the old media the combination of the two what they really figured out what you know what's his name and fox figured out a long time ago.
Is not my right what the guy that did fox news that passed away anyway is what they both figured out is all entertainment they don't even report to be a news provider they report to be an entertainment company and and so that's the real question and. Is there a space for unbiased you know I mean there's by the way there's there are organizations out there like ground news and others and I don't know which ones better than the other one but I've seen them like advertised and then gone to look at them where they give you like a meter to whether how biased this reporting was from whatever source and that but I you would think so until we figure that out. We're fucked to a certain degree because we all are prisoners of our own algorithms me included by the way you know I I used to like make a joke remember westwing sure I would watch westwing and i'm and you know in real time and you'd be like hey.
You know the next three days later you go whatever happened to that aircraft carrier that was you know stranded in the streets or moose you would realize it was like a story line from from my point being is these brainworm the I mean talk about brainworms are okay but the these these ideas that are now like feduous like my algorithm I forget what the story was but I was like can you believe and somebody was like to me like that's not true. It was AI it was this that the other thing right yeah but we're all victims of it and and you you can completely disconnect from it or I don't know and I don't have an answer for that but we better come up with one really soon and here's the thing about AI is it as much as I do not discount the these the Armageddon and a pock elliptic view that many people have as really.
It relates to what AI could do which obviously if we ever do read super intelligence is real because you know in no idea but I really do believe that there is the opposite side of it there is the there's the star track narrative utopian narrative the utopian narrative in what who knows is that maybe that it is there is a it's core of benevolence and that is the star track narrative. That benevolence leads to the to solving these types of problems and solving problems as it relates to if climate change would solve the energy crisis and why the way what other choice do we have the hope right now I mean we have crossed the Rubicon you know I mean and it is we the tipping point has what if AI could cancer what if AI could cure cancer and all of these questions of things what if AI could really figure out a way to to solve our education crisis in this in the world let alone the country.
So you have all of these really beautiful possibilities that that may exist out there and what I believe it takes is leadership. And the question is is I think in many ways we have the worst leadership at the most critical moment in our in the history of the well that's for damn sure this episode is brought to you by Fetzer you know there's this tendency in modern life to believe that every problem has a material solution more technology more productivity more money more apps reminding you to breathe while you ignore the fact that your soul feels like a reason with the folks at the Fetzer Institute leaves something deeper they believe that behind humanity's biggest challenge. So what if the challenges are spiritual ones loneliness division disconnection are inability to see each other the planet or even ourselves as sacred and they're asking a really beautiful question what if shared flourishing begins with the sacred Fetzer supports stories communities and spiritual solutions from people around the world who are healing division caring for the earth and creating deeper human connection through faith spirituality and reverence for love itself not dogma not forcing
that a maybe the soul matters honestly that's a conversation we care deeply about here at soul you can explore their spiritual solutions library and learn more at Fetzer dot org that's FET ZER dot org thanks Fetzer. Yeah, but it's really it's really fascinating isn't it what an incredible time to to live in what an incredibly disorienting time to live in I think so many people feel that I also think this man is it we still haven't dealt with the emotion the emotional baggage that obviously still exists for particularly young kids as it relates to what happened during COVID I mean they lost years of their of of central pieces of their education and their social life. And and in all of this like more than any time at least in my life is I believe in two things one there's nothing new under the sun two is that it certainly feels like something new under the sun is about to occur.
Do you know what I mean I have that feeling it's like I always say to everybody like and you want to talk about a time in American history where things were tough let me tell you about post civil war reconstruction the end of Johnson and Jim Crow and and losing and losing a hundred years of of of of the potential for progress for an entire population in this country let me tell you about hard times you want to talk about political turmoil in the world. And let's talk about the murder of Dr King Martin Luther I mean Malcolm X and and Bobby Kennedy all within a year ago and only four years after the assassination of John F. Kennedy and only three years four years before Watergate you know I mean like we like we like all of this but there's something very very it seems to me like materially different. So I think that's what's going on about what's going on and part of that is this is that I don't think that Donald Trump is necessarily only a symptom of a disease I think that he is a singular catalyst in many ways that has that has unleashed a darkness that is and I really mean it and I and I want to like hyperb lies and things but I really do really feel like there's this.
Sense of like up is down black is white and I think that he's far more than the symptom I think that he is you know and I and the other analogies patient zero he's not patient here he is the carrier he is has infected all of us I think in in a way that is been really really really detrimental here's my heart take here's my heart take I'm not going to say I disagree with you. But I will say this the way the political system has been set up in the United States with two power with two parties having all of this power and collecting hundreds of millions of dollars and influencing policy and having kind of corruption and personal gain being woven within it where winning an election is far more important than being any kind of public service has learned that there's a lot of things that are going to be done. So I think that's led to this point. There's a corruption in the system itself that of course is going to lead to some kind of authoritarian you know billionaire being an office saying they know the best way and providing a kind of leadership that a lot of Americans want because kind of a bull in the China shop kind of leadership.
So we were headed in this direction and it the partisan politics and the way that it's greased with money and the way that it runs this country is is corrupt to its core and is is is leading to the increased divisions that we see because it's essentially the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles and they hate each other even though they don't know each other and there's this constant you know it's all a battle for power and so this is why we're here right now. All right, couldn't agree more. So my point is I guess what I was trying to say is that all it not all it took but what it took was for the most narcissistic sociopathic individual ever to enter politics to figure out how to game the system. So ripped the mask off. Yeah. In a way that that I don't know and I have to believe because I'm an eternal optimist that maybe this is a great thing.
Maybe fundamentally we will get changed by virtue of the fact that he's made it clear that unless we change we are we're done for like the idea that that anyone takes that we can return to the status quo which creates the anger that I have for instance within my own party with certain people in the world. With certain people in my own party with kind of the corporate structure of my own party that's kind of the darling of the media you know the mainstream media and the you know the editorial page at the board of the New York Times and that you know all of that is it I have no faith whatsoever and and I 100% agree with your analysis completely and I think there is a real receptive audience out there. That is now kind of standing outside the partisan now does that mean we you can create a third party and all this bullshit and things like that I have no idea I don't think I don't know what it looks like but I think you can a third party but I think it's but I think it's yeah I think that you just go out there and you know speak you know as long if like I think like take for instance time is messy okay as a as as a human being in a person.
And I probably disagree with 95% of the person. Oh he's the guy in public in that you know Trump hates because he's called for the release the Epstein files and he went against Trump on the you know the Warner ran and you know the Epstein files I forgot about those pesky things. Yeah exactly and so basically he was executed they they you know they primaried him and he lost his primary and you know in a district in which he won by 50% before. But he's voted with Trump 98% of the time but he believes in in the Constitution Republic he believes in the rule of law and so therefore he does not fit in their world and my point is I can even support somebody like that but remember that's not what people are voting on in the last election they spent I forget whether it was over three I'm screw up numbers all the time 300 million or three billion dollars. He goes like 75% of their advertising in the in the like four of the seven battleground states we're all about one issue trans women in sports.
You know how many trans people are in the United States of America point three maybe point five percent of the you know how many trans athletes play in high school sports I think total of like right now like maybe four or three. And which is question whether or not they actually can play or not that are attempting to seven I think at one point seven out of 350 million Americans is there anybody that you know that has that that on their list of things that they're concerned about. For their own daily lives and make it through is trans people it's insane but they literally convinced everybody of their voters of the people that you know that this was these singular issue I mean they talk about shit like that all the time. You know they're eating the cats and dogs everybody thought like what a stupid thing to say about Haitian you know immigrants in all of our people on our side because what the cruelty of that you know it's dehumanizing people and blah blah blah blah blah and the other side how it's funny and other side said you know it's real it's what's happening in me mile.
You know they're literally changing laws that are make it far less say for us to access clean water and clean air yeah yeah it's going to affect millions and millions and millions of people again look over here yeah talk about trans athletes and people eating dogs and cats yeah down here we're going to be doing all of this exactly and by the way and I told you there are migrant caravans of socialist. Trans athletes headed this way right now let's show it on the map. Hey everybody make sure to click subscribe it's right over here somewhere please pretty please it would help us at soul boom so much click subscribe. You've been on the podcast circuit and discussed all kinds of things you're talking about democratic party and you talk about Trump and you talk about the laptop and what you've been through and the politics and so admire all the conversations you've been having with people.
Kind of a little bit outside of your comfort zone yeah as you were speaking I was thinking like has there been another person in the history of the world with greater public humiliation the new I don't think so I think you take the award yeah I was trying to think of who else it could possibly be total ego destruction yeah complete in order which is what the meditators and Risha Keshe are trying to achieve a hundred or more decades they're trying to obliterate. There you go from an entirely different path exactly you had it done for you yeah. And so those seven years could either be done the way that I went through or in that cave and I really mean it and so and you wouldn't wish this on your worst enemy speaking like that bill and w and in the book and and the sources that there's a text that I always return to I don't want to be too like esoteric because I listen to it on tape don't worry I'm like. Yeah it's not but the you're not that smart yeah exactly exactly yeah I really mean it is that the bug of a guita mm-hmm and I don't know if you know I listen to it over and over and over again because it's exactly what it says and it's what 3500 years ago and it incorporates all of these things and you have
Arjuna with Krishna and they have these this discussion on the battlefield and they're basically you don't matter do your duty do the next right thing because this is all happened it will all happen again it is all for told it never happened it doesn't matter do your duty and whatever your duty may be is do the next right thing and that's so I mean as much as my ego was completely destroyed is that of course slowly finds its way back in it creeps in and you think well maybe you know I should do this or you know I should do that or you know I have to worry about you know paying the bills and what you know and you know I want to correct everything and also by the way in the part of family you know my family it the people that love you they they they want the world to see the person that they love and and so there's a desire to like you know I'm doing it for them kind of thing and I realize I'm going to show it doesn't matter do you know what I mean what what doesn't matter is this is it
the only thing that matters is telling my story the only thing that I've ever walked away from any interview like this is to be able to have these discussions with the hope that one person literally that the hope that one person watches this and they make it through the day and what I what more could you aspire to as a human being than that now that being said still have to live in the world and you still have to engage in you know you still have to pay your bills and you still have to do things like that and figuring out how to do that without your ego dominating every decision you make is the is the part that I'm still working on. If you went back in time 20 years ago 25 years ago you know I was reading your bio it's pretty insane I had no idea you have like all these degrees and work experience and the board of M track and stock trading and you know incredible work experience that I had no idea.
I only heard about like you Ukrainian. Yeah. We're a company. Yeah. What was your entitlement like back in those years is that something that you can look at that you've fully addressed because it does seem to be like a lot of doors were open to you because your dad was a senator. Yeah, part of you went to a lot of like the top you know Ivy leagues and and what not and where you were in the halls of power and a lot of doors open for you 100% look I am a son of the United States senator. I'm I'm white and I'm six foot one and I graduated from Yale Law School a lot of doors open for you 100% and that's just the truth and and anybody that kind of I think tries to be defensive about that it's like what do you want to say. Yeah, it's just reality. Yeah, this is my reality. Mm-hmm question is is what do you do with it and there's where it becomes complicated with me. So for a very long period of my life is that I did really esteemable things I built really really I built my own business.
I for a long period of time I'm almost exclusively representative at university's who are doing things like you know deploying mobile dental clinics in the intercity Detroit and having you know or a teacher's program and overbrook in the worst neighborhood in Philadelphia and things like that and and and I did well with that and that was my world. None of this can necessarily be blamed on addiction but it certainly can be blamed on the the attic ego which was this is the idea that I had to do more and that I had to be more and I had to make more was never enough there was never enough and I can remember when that kind of took hold. It's after my dad became vice president and I by the way I work my ass off I mean I had I I was married and had a child all through law school I paid my own way through law school I paid off all my college I had to pay all my college loans myself I didn't we didn't have any family money might that was famously the most the the the poor man not just in the Senate but in the least assets of all 535 members of both the House in the Senate.
And so you know he did well made $160,000 a year but you know what that's not enough to pay for your son's down payment on a home or this or that or or college or whatever law school and so but like again nobody gives a shit. I he should have gotten with the Saudis earlier come on but by the way is is so after my dad became vice president I think I made a really fatal error and I moved to DC. And it was really difficult for me to to navigate that I wasn't of that world and so I didn't want to be a part of that world but there was a you know like all of the opportunities. But you know we're surrounded things that were DC centric and I would try to avoid them and avoid them and ultimately at the end of the day it led me to a you know a decision by perception by the way a perception that in this moment of time.
You got to be kidding me the level of vaccine to join a board that I was fully quite qualified to join and I was chairman of the board of many major major organizations and multi billion dollar organizations and I was a lawyer and focused on corporate governance was one of the largest and most prestigious law firms in the world. And so I was eminently qualified but it is a snake's pit that I entered into in the last year and a half of my dad being president and I rationalize the decision. Because I would be transparent about it which I was I let I released a press release that was joining the board and that it was the last year and a half my dad was never going to be in politics again remember Hillary Clinton was going to be our next president. And and my family would be out of politics my brother had when I agreed to do it had been diagnosed with a glioblastoma stage four and and he had months to live at best and so I wanted to spend the time with him and it was an enormous amount of money and it gave me the opportunity to be able to do that.
And these are all decisions I made all rationalizations that I made. And what did it do it opened me up to a completely fictional narrative that they were able to then use you know because remember I didn't do any business when my dad was president none. I mean I literally sold paintings made about $200,000 a year selling paintings the furthest thing from politics that I could possibly imagine so that decision though gave them. A very easy narrative to paint and is corruption the corrupt by the crime family exactly and it was exactly the opposite of reality. And that's what they need it because the person that they feared most to run against which they were right was Joe Biden and the reason that they feared him because I don't think that they're ever been two people more diametrically. Opposed as human beings than Donald Trump and Joe Biden and every election people I always say this to people you think it's about policy you think it's about it's literally just about a choice.
It's about a choice and at the end of the day what you feel about you know you know a certain provision in the in the tax code is not going to motivate somebody to go they will look and they have to make a choice between. Two people and Joe Biden is as a man such a clear better choice than Donald Trump and so they I mean they focused in on me I you know I. And they and they tore my life up I mean they not just turned it upside down they they tore me in pieces and scattered me to the wind yeah yeah yeah yeah I was I was thought like wait no the corruption isn't over here the corruption is over here with the crack pipe. I mean yeah yeah you know what I'm saying no I do and that's exactly what they did and so what you what you got was you they painted a picture and they painted a picture on the front page of the New York Post almost on a daily basis beginning in 2020 and in October of 2020 of Hunter Biden shirtless looking despondent and almost suicidal with a crack pipe hanging out of his mouth in a motel room.
And they ran those pictures over and over again and you flipped inside and it was like the perfect you know talk about political crack you know I mean it was like you know it was new pictures of me with women consensual adults but you know but still it didn't matter like sex drugs and politics man and here it is you can find it all in one place and and and this character of this human being and and then let me show you the the text message. That the awful text message that he sent to his mom at four o'clock in the morning in them in them you know from a motel from a motel in what she's trying to send somebody to save me and I call her a horrible name I still cry about that I mean just or or hey here's the voicemail his dad left him at at three o'clock in the morning saying how much he loves him and he just doesn't know what to do in crying on the phone. You know I mean that's beautiful my producer put that question here yeah your dad said I love you more than the whole world pal I'm here no matter what you need.
I'm scared call to tell you I love you I love you more than the whole world pal. I kind of get some help I don't know what to do I know you don't either. I'm here no matter what you need no matter what you need I love you. And they played that to humiliate you over and over over and over again Sean Hannity and and all of them when you hear that now what does it bring up for you you know that. Oh my so he's so beautiful. I was okay whatever's going to see this clip whatever you think about my dad. Anyway he is a really beautiful person yeah and he was there a few throughout yeah all of these ups and downs and all of these still is still is.
Yeah that's amazing yeah I think I know for myself there's a kind of entitlement and this I keep going back to this because I think it's something I'm dealing with myself and trying to get over where anytime there's something in my head that go the rules don't apply to me or I want what I want when I want it. Yeah anything in that vaguely in that circle leads to some really out of control addictive yeah kind of maybe I doesn't like a relapse or something like that but just getting back into an addictive mode of thinking and being in the world and that's that's what I have to resist day in a day out. And you brought it up before shame I think brings you there I also think perfectionism brings you there and shame and perfectionism are kind of two sides of this coin yeah of. Makes me feel bad about myself but oh if I can be perfect then I'll make gate this shame and then you fail being perfect brings you back to shame like oh but the answer is to be perfect i'm going to be perfect on this and this is bounce as opposed to just being another bow so on the bus who is.
You know I this group therapist that I've worked with a bunch over the years with this men's group always says like i'm a mistake making human and i'm an unrepeatable miracle of the universe and i love that being right in the center of that yeah well they you know it's the wisdom of of. A lot of the program is you know I always bristle against the idea of just being another actor in the play you know the main that holds you know peace that they have in the writing is is I didn't bullshit i'm the author. I'm going to write my own story i'm going to do that and and and the Zego at least for me and for the longest time I didn't understand that I thought that you know by the way which is a lot of people understandably really bristle against the idea that you're this powerless in this piece of that we often talk about yeah program.
And I understand that debate around it but for me admitting that you're not in control of the grand scheme of things is is not giving up power as you. You your ego is telling you yeah it's just literally coming to the conclusion is that. Figuring out what is that wisdom between what I can change and what I can't change. You play a unique role in in the midst of all of this hunter and I just wish you the very best in continuing the dialogue and trying to bring people together and I do think in one of the missions of soul boom is to ignite a spirit. It's a virtual revolution because I do think that it is our souls are common humanity are our shared love of what's sacred of what unites us that can work I have to I have to believe that there is exactly kind of star trek utopia on the other side of this mirage that we're currently in yeah but we have to also find the people that are working to unite finding those precious points of unity.
Between the two sides and bringing people together you're one of the people kind of uniquely. Charged and situated thank you to be able to continue those conversations and just applaud you for doing it keep going man that means the world to me I really I really mean that no we don't have we don't have money for bunkers so we got to believe. Yeah and we can keep everybody on top side in love in each other well I hope that your dog coin comes back up so that you have the money for a bunker yeah bunker exactly what that you know what I appreciate that.
