Welcome to the Busted Open After Dark podcast. I'm your host Tommy Dreamer. Solo gets kidnapped. And the money in the bank qualifiers go awry. And I'm going to talk about it right now. This is the Busted Open Podcast. We had an interesting Monday Night Raw. So many threads there which is cool because they gave me a whole heck of a lot to talk about. And I'm going to host some of the shows before the show. We have to have meetings and be like, what are we going to talk about? And then Raw delivers. It's a completely different show from last week, which is what you want. But I think overall, crowd completely different seemed to get into the action during the matches,

not right off the bat for some people. But main thread throughout the show was a lot. And how do you know someone is super freaking over? Because you don't even talk about him. But everyone is talking about him and that is Roman Reigns and the world title. And every single storyline that we saw tonight encapsulated the world title. And if I start with, I will go to Solo. Solo has been on a mission to deal with the bloodline, Roman, and now 946. We have everybody has to get through something to get to that world title. Solo has a really big opportunity tonight. He has a money in the bank qualifier, which for me, he was my, when this whole money in the bank was announced, I said my number one guy was LA Knight and my number two guy was

Solo. That has completely changed. Solo in a very nice, you know, he shows up, gets a nice reaction. Yay. Then we have something very, very interesting happen in a nice backstage with the Usos and Jacob Fattu. Jacob have been dealing with this OTM and Royce keys and 946 stuff each and every week. We have a different version what happens and a white flag is waved and Solo. Sakawa shows up in the back. When I came here to tell y'all is 946, they're not going to stop until everybody is finished. So we need to work together as a team. The teams. What you want back in the bloodline is something solo, because it seems like you're looking for protection, little brother.

That's real simple though, Solo. Two things you got to do is acknowledge me and big gym as a captain and acknowledge Roman Reigns as your tribal team folks. That's easy. Hands down. Yeah, no, that ain't going to happen. Man, I suggest you turn around and walk about this room solo. I tell the Jollin boys that man, he always, I think, wrong or right or rather you like it or not. Y'all just make a big mistake. Say, how? What are you talking about? We got to do so. There you have it. We are back. Wow. Solo going to his brothers as well as Jacob. That was a big step. And the answer which we heard is, hey, you basically got acknowledge Roman, which you

wouldn't do. Solo caused a lot of this problem. And now he realizes like, hey, we need health. We're kind of back to where we were, but a different way. And I keep saying this, everybody is way more over. Then we have solo getting ready for his match with the money in the bank qualifier. So he gets what? A money in the bank briefcase for what? The world title against Roman and he has a nice little run in with LA night in the back. And that conversation, basically, Audrey, do we have the conversation or no? Okay. LA nights like, hey, man, let everybody crash and burn. And then we'll pick the bones. And when you win, you're not going to cash in on me, right? And he's like, no, I'm not going to cash in on you. Nice because you're my friend.

Very, very cool, sweet, simple, enjoyed that. Now we have another cell phone version of our heels showing up, which I like. It's raw. It's gritty. Even like when they're passing the phone back and forth, it's really, really cool to see like it doesn't look like it's the great production that the WWE offers. It looks very real. How what we also look on our phones all the time outside of A and A.I. Because I don't know what the hell is real anymore. So but I like where they're doing what they're passing the phone, all that stuff. And basically saying, hey, we're not going to wait anymore tonight is the night. And then what happens? We have again, a bunch of other segments talking about the money in the bank qualifiers. Obviously your main event tonight is Dominic, Dragonly and Solo.

And then Solo gets taken out. Solo gets taken out. He gets beat down. They show his beat up face. And then he gets thrown in the car. They drive away. Here come the Usos, here come Jacob Fato. And lastly, here comes LA Knight. Which does go get rid of a lot of people who could be a fourth member if we are going to have a fourth member. And all of the chaos. We do have this audio. So you want to go to the audio? Let's go to the audio. No, all right. Sorry about that. So now we have our main event, a shambles. My one of my favorite parts about Monday Night Raw, the chaos at the end. And who's going to replace Solo? My favorite part was Dominic Mysterio basically going out and appears and be like, yo, I can

advance now. But because he's not in the match, right? So the match is thrown out. And Pierce like, no, but it's like the most inopportune time, which makes Dominic a great character. And the more we keep screwing over Dominic, I'm going to tell you our biggest heel is going to turn to our biggest baby face. So just be careful if you're you're moving him on that path because we have, you know, people who are at the show. And you could also hear it. They're loving to hate him, which then will turn to love. Anyway, we're going to have the match Dominic Mysterio. First, um, dragon Lee out second and then Adam Pearson to Ruppes and he announces the participant will be Penta. And I love how the commentary sold that like this was going to be a singles and then oh, no, it's not. And then yes, Wade Barrett, great.

It's easier to win a singles match than the three way because of basically the numbers. And this putting Penta in the people enjoyed it. Penta is getting over. Backing to where we started in the beginning, the show opens with Penta. And he basically talks about what he wants and what he wants is that world title shot opportunity. Did a great video package from the night before. Then he cut a very, very realistic promo of what you want to hear him say in loss. And then he gets jumped by who the guy or interrupted the guy who's going to be facing in the main event. But we don't know that he's going to be facing them and they leave him down with Dominic and what's his name? Oh my gosh, why am I drawing the blank here?

Dragon Lee. No big head JD JD sorry, judgment day. So they leave him laying and then again, you think that's the end you're going to see of Penta. I said it before I will say it again, when you're taking somebody out of a match that's advertised, it's not a bait and switch. You have to be careful with this, but they made the right call by making the right call, by not only putting Penta in as well as Penta going over. Penta winning helps solidify a nice happy moment where we're pissed. We don't have the guy we wanted in there, but at least another guy that we really, really like and a guy who has gotten over and he continues to get over and yet a really, really solid match, but the guy who replaced the guy wins and now he advances. And the match was really, really solid.

Dragon Lee continues. He needs a world title shot like Penta just did to get him to that next level. He had a great match with Dragon with Chad Gable, but he just needs something to take him to that next level if that's where they want to go. But Penta right now is the guy and Penta has now furthered his step to capture that money in the bank. And with that money in the bank, we now have Bronbreaker, Javan Evans from Smackdown. We have trick Williams. Now we have Penta who qualified tonight and a major, major friggin main event on Friday is CM Punk versus Gunther versus Finn Balor.

Again, who's the most overman in the room? The man holding that world title and that man is Roman Reigns. Everybody tonight outside of trick has connective tissue to that. And I will get into more of that, but everybody wants to be the guy holding that title. That's also LA Knight who has the match already at Monday, at a money in the bank, but everybody has their connective tissue for their why to want to be the world champion and why they dislike Roman Reigns and why they want to be. And outside of obviously Bronbreaker has to be or the odds on favorite up until Penta. And then we'd have trick on Smackdown, Javan Evans. He's the youngest guy in there. I don't see him winning it, but I do see him.

I do see him having like a great, great showing for himself. And in this, like for Penta to win this, this is everything and it gives him another opportunity to be a top guy. And also tonight how he won it, that springboard Canadian, I'm sorry, Mexican destroyer, shout out to PD Williams, the innovator of that maneuver. And Penta has the charisma, Penta's music hitting and having. And if you know from his past, a darker Penta, which I don't need to see right now, but him toying with the briefcase in a whoever is your champion could really, really help the him continue to get over for now solo.

What the hell's happening with solo if he's not in it, like I said, everything should be garnering towards war games. But if solo has been taken out, he's been abducted. We don't know where the hell he is. Somebody check that river in San Antonio, man, he may be floating, swimming with the, actually it's kind of polluted river walk. It's very nice scene. I used to stay at that Marriott, very, very nice. But where does this lead solo? Because again, solo, it's massive ramifications for what he asked and it's just a nugget for what's going to happen for the future for all of this. What would solo will he get the last qualifier? Because we're two weeks away, which means Friday, we have the last Smackdown entrance and then we'll have one more raw side and then we're done.

So is solo going to be able to make it back in a week and come back? I don't know by the size of that wealth in the face, he would not pass concussion protocol. If not, like who's going to be that guy? If they took away solo, is LA Knight now going to go at it alone? Because in LA Knights promo, again, he's right. He's had several opportunities, well, not really, but three years was the last time he faced him and he kept naming all these times that I faced you Roman, but you always had interference. There was no interference against Penta. There's no interference. We're always except for against LA Knight. And does LA Knight have Roman's number if he's going to go that way? And then with Roman, where is he? And I keep telling you this.

Why should I keep telling Rick on off the ropes? This is the second time that Roman is not there and there is a bigger attack on another member of, well, he's not a member of the bloodline anymore, but solo. Remember when Jimmy and Jay got laid out? Roman wasn't there. Now when solo gets attacked, Roman's not even there. He has his great match in Mexico. I'm not there. Does this. He's not addressing the situation. He said, you all got to handle that on your own. Is this something where I'm telling you is Roman involved with this on the bad guy side? 946 or is he on the on the good side of the bloodline?

There will be a lot of people saying, oh, they're rehashing stuff, but they're not. And by saying they're not, everybody is over. And it's, I know for solo. I keep going to LA Knight. I need help. He's not giving it to me. But who do I got to go to? My brothers, people I know who are the toughest men out there. They're going to help this in the fight because he called it if not, it's going to get worse. Jacob knows this to be true as well because Jacob knows what Royce keys and 946 is all about, but mainly Royce keys because they were friends for a long time. A lot of moving parts with all of this and where they're going to go. And again, the other part with my money in the bank qualifiers on the men's side, outside of who's going to still be in it.

But like I said, Brownbreaker, the future, he had an awesome segment with Paul Heyman. He had a wonderful match. But just like they keep pushing another guy, Javan Evans with a change of attitude, Brown breaker is having a change of attitude. It's like he's leading himself with patience and not being the hothead. He's not doing his weird head twitchy thing anymore. He's being more focused, more like what? A leader and commentating is commentary is pointing that out. He got his face slapped in a backstage, said, and buy who? Javan Evans, who? Oh, yeah, by the way, they're going to be facing each other and money in the bank. And again, world title implications. And then that segment with Paul Heyman was very, very interesting because for the first time Paul Heyman looked puzzled and Paul Heyman looked like he saw a different side of

Brownbreaker that he hasn't seen and it didn't look like Brownbreaker. Like I keep saying is looking for Paul's acceptance. And when he kind of left because Paul asked him the question, is he still breathing? And then, you know, he said, well, I am. And Paul kind of like looked at him like, oh, this is a newer guy. Like I said, you don't need to be going down the Paul Heyman route. But it's a it's an interesting saga and all these little things. And then last but not least is Penta, the last guy to qualify, the guy who took Roman Reigns to the limit and was two, nine, 10ths of a second away from becoming the champion and had Roman Reigns one of his best matches as well as it was the match of his life, Penta. And now he has an opportunity to climb that ladder as well.

And that men's division between Braun, Javon, Trick and Penta is really, really heating up. And if I'm going to give a prediction, Gunther, Punk, Finn, Punk don't need it. Though he's another guy with that briefcase could do a lot of damage. Gunther, because we have only one heal so far in all of this could be my odds on favorite. And if somebody needs it, Finn Baller needs this victory. So again, so many moving parts for this money in the bank, but we're still two weeks away. And the biggest thing that I said is who's the most over person in the room? It's the guy who's not even there. And it's Roman Reigns.

And somehow, some way, all the connective tissue on the men's side of things with Solo, with Penta all revolved around one person and that's their aspirations to get to Roman Reigns. Coming up next, Oba, Femi is back and maybe he's got a new friend along the way. That is the return of perhaps the biggest star in the company, Oba Femi. We have not seen Oba since he got jumped and beat up.

And we have an impromptu match up with Javan Evans and Braun Breaker. Great match. Match for the future. That happens today. And then we have aftermath. And that aftermath was Javan getting beat down. It ends in a DQ, which I have no problem with. And here comes the return of Oba Femi. Obviously Oba Femi got taken out by the returning Bronson Reed, the thinner, more in shape, Bronson Reed. The vision did a great job of making Oba Femi look like the biggest baddest man to ever come out. And he just does what a baby face is supposed to do and clear the ring. He starts and the people are so behind it.

And they're getting completely behind his running forearms behind everything the guy does. I was begging for him to do something that I would never do and rip off my shirt. And when he ripped off his shirt at almost the right time, place goes nuts. Obviously I love the splash in the corner after he delivers his forearm, squishing his own guy by Bronson Reed. And Bronson looks like he's going to get the upper hand, but not today. My baby face triumphs and the vision does what the vision was supposed to do. Make Oba look like a monster as well as bump for him. Who greatest ever come back I've ever seen was the American Dream Dusty Roads on the forehorsement. And it was so believable. And if you go back and you watch it, it's just amazing to see and amazing.

It's amazing to hear the reactions. And I felt that same way with Oba Femi where the people are just so behind him and Oba Femi and Dusty Roads look so completely different, but got the same ass reaction because when you are over, the fans are going to react the way you want them to react. He clears the ring, stands tall and him and Javan Evans are kind of like united. And then this happened when Raw goes off the air because not only do you have to watch everything that happens on Monday Night Raw, then you got to listen to busted open after dark. Then they start dropping little snippets. They dropped a Oba Femi and Javan Evans backstage promo kind of happening where it post what just went down. And it looks like maybe this will help Javan if you're rubbing him up with Oba. I don't think Oba needs anybody, but here's the best part about when you put people together.

I always say this baby faces need friends. Why doesn't somebody come out and help when they get beat up? I saw it with Penta tonight and I thought, oh, that's it. Penta's done. Then he came back and does something. If this is going to take us to a tag, this is cool. Obviously, Oba's back. If this will help Javan with his attitude, also there is a, there's something to be uniqueness of a Javan Evans and the youth of Javan Evans with Oba who's not old at any point, but just could pull something different out of them. They've also had great matches together, but you can continue this, which hopefully they will next week because hell, they have done a lot of different stuff. They've friggin' switched the title with Stephanie and live on a four hour notice that the

match was even happening. Catch the full three hours of busted open every day of the week at 9am Eastern on WWE Radio on Sirius XM Channel 156.
