Big shout out, first and foremost, to Tim and David for putting this story on our radar because, oh my god. Yeah, this one. You know what people say? Like, you just can't make this up. This is one of those stories where I feel like my brain actually couldn't put a story
together like this. And it's not just because it's so complex because it really is. It's like there are times when you're kind of like, okay, like it gets a little complicated. So you want to pay real close attention to this one, but it's also like, how can somebody be this calculative, this evil, this manipulative? Yeah. Whoa. That is the word for it. It is genuinely evil. Yes, seriously. Just pure evil. Truly. So thank you guys so much for tuning into this one and without further ado. All right, guys. This is the murder of Reagan Simmons Hancock. So let's get into it. In October of 2020, a 21 year old expectant mother spent the morning at home preparing to welcome her child in just a few weeks.
But after a trusted acquaintance arrived at her door, an unfathomable crime unfolded, one that stunned investigators and made headlines across the country. This is the murder of Reagan Simmons Hancock, the final trimester. Reagan, Michelle Simmons was born on November 14, 1998 in Hope, Arkansas to parents Jessica and Brandon Simmons. But the family later settled in New Boston, Texas, which is a town of about 4,000 people located 30 minutes west of Texarkana and the Arkansas border. So we're going to the Texarkana area again for those of you who did or did not listen to our watch our episode on Virginia Carpenter. Yes. Yeah, and that it's like kind of in the furthest northeast corner of the state of Texas. Yeah, so very small like rural area. So her parents divorced when she was still young and both remarried, bringing her a blended family of four siblings, two brothers and two sisters.
As a big sister, Reagan was protective and strong willed. With her mom Jessica later remembering, quote, Reagan always had the biggest heart. But she could be a little spitfire too. She was sweetest sugar one minute and all attitude the next. You know, she really cared about people. Sometimes, sometimes now I think that was a mistake. Well, Reagan came home with a big surprise one day in 2015 when she discovered that she was pregnant at the age of 17. Now initially her parents were upset, but they were really proud when they saw how she raised her daughter, Kinley. Like she was a very, very present mother. So they were kind of like, oh, wait, you can do this and you can actually do this really really well. Just extremely attentive. Yeah, so actually her stepfather Marcus later reflected in maternal instinct, which is a Netflix documentary produced about Reagan's story. I'm sure a lot of you guys watch that one this summer. Quote, it's like she was always meant to be a mother. That was her thing. She was the best mother that I think I've ever met. Soon after Kinley was born, Reagan met a young man named Homer Hancock.
And in September of 2019, after about four years of dating, they got married. In early 2020, 21 year old Reagan Simmons Hancock found out that she and her new groom were expecting a child. This would be her second child. A girl they planned to name Braxland Sage. Well, in the months leading up to her 2019 wedding, Reagan, who was 20 years old at the time, met a young photographer named Taylor Parker, who was 26. Now Taylor had been running her own low budget photography business when Reagan found her. And eager to conserve her budget, she hired Taylor for both her engagement as well as her wedding photos. Like Daphne said, Reagan and Homer got married in September of 2019 and had what they regarded as their dream wedding. Everyone was happy with how the photos turned out. And even better, Reagan and Taylor actually hit it off and they stayed friends after this celebration had passed. At the wedding, Jessica remembered Taylor as kind, warm and cordial and that she politely
greeted guests and enjoyed taking pictures with Reagan and her family as well as her bridesmaids. So it was a really great situation. It seemed really great. It's always nice when you have a photographer, a wedding photographer that is able to mesh with you well. It's so true. It's weirdly a really important thing. My cousins wedding this summer, we were like best friends with the photographers and it made such a difference. You feel like they get really involved if they're wonderful. And it kind of helped make the event that much more special. That was making me think of our wedding photographer. There was one together that we won't talk about that. But our videographers were so great. Oh, they were great. And they were like same vibe, like wonderful gals. I'm sure a lot of you guys can relate. So this was like a great situation. Absolutely. And Reagan's sister remembered that Taylor quote almost felt like she was a bridesmaid at one point because she was in all of our selfies. So Taylor's kind of like mixing herself in with the bridesmaids as well. Well, after the wedding, Reagan and Taylor bonded over having been teen mothers and then
even found themselves pregnant at the same time, only about six weeks apart. Reagan and Homer discovered that they were pregnant in February of 2020, so just behind Taylor who became pregnant in January. Well, it seemed like Reagan came into Taylor's life in her time of need because Taylor had told her that she had a complicated and very contentious relationship with her mom and that her mom had been spreading rumors about her and trying to turn her friends, family, and even her boyfriend's family against her. So she was having a hard time kind of finding support in her pregnancy, especially because she also complained about struggles with her ex-husband. And Reagan really just kind of helped her through this period of time. She's like, you know, I know that you need a friend and I'm 100% here for you. Yeah, especially with all this drama and Taylor's life and she knows what it's like to be pregnant herself. Reagan does, so she's like, oh my God, well, we can be here for each other. Yeah. So on Wednesday, October 7th of 2020, Reagan and Taylor got drinks at Starbucks and
chatted about their upcoming due dates. Taylor was set to be induced only two days later and then Reagan was due in about a month. And it was clear that Taylor was struggling under the pressure. So Reagan asked her if she wanted to come over the next day, which was October 8th, so that she could help kind of put her mind at ease. Most recently, Reagan had worked in customer service at Flying Burger and Texarkana, but she lived in the very small nearby city of New Boston, Texas with her husband and three year old daughter in a modest home on Austin Street. You know, this is a really quiet residential part of town. And it was in this home that something unimaginable would happen. On the morning of October 9th, 2020 again, just a few weeks before she was to give birth to her child, which was supposed to happen in November of 2020. Reagan's husband, Homer, went to work as usual and Reagan planned to drop her daughter at daycare before going to work herself. But just before 10 a.m., Reagan's mom Jessica received a somewhat agitated call from her
son in law, Homer, asking if she had heard from Reagan. Jessica claimed that she hadn't and Homer relayed that Reagan had not shown up for work that morning. So he reached out to her via text and she initially responded, but he claimed that the conversation didn't sound or feel like his wife. Suspicious? Yeah. He also heard from their neighbor that their dog had gotten out of the yard and was running around the neighborhood. So actually to help out this neighbor put Reagan and Homer's dog in their backyard and let Homer know like I put the dog in the yard. Because they had gotten on the loose, but it wasn't like Reagan at all to lose track of their dog for their dog to just get out. She's a very responsible dog mom and people mom. So alarmed, Jessica left work and headed to her daughter's house to check on her. On the way, she called her husband Marcus to alert him as well. And Marcus was with a family friend named Chris Hughes that morning. So together, they also headed toward Reagan's house because there like something feels off.
On the way in order to verify their suspicions, Jessica stopped into Kinley's daycare asking if Kinley had been dropped off that day. And the teachers informed Jessica that she hadn't. She arrived at the house as fast as she could and immediately noticed that the garage door had been left open, which again was also very abnormal for Reagan and Homer. Yeah, Jessica later explained that this is something that they never did. Yeah, again, super responsible. Well, as she approached the garage, she noticed long red streaks on the cement floor that looked like blood. And as she approached the house cautiously, she saw a bloody sneaker print entering the house. Jessica later recalled, quote, it felt like it took forever to get to the door. So I backed up. I don't need to touch anything. I don't know what this is. So I sat there for a second and then I took my work shirt and reached and turned the door knob and I pushed the door open. So she's in there and she needs me. I need to find out where she is.
She was facing away from me and her hair was red from all the blood. She remembered calling out to her daughter, Reagan, Reagan, baby, answer me. But when she heard no answer, she later remembered, quote, I just thought, what do I do? What am I supposed to do? With panic setting in, she decided to enter despite her fears, knowing that her daughter likely needed her help. And what followed was a painstaking call to 911 with Jessica whaling that her daughter Reagan had been murdered. Well, at that point, Marcus arrived with her family friend, Chris. Jessica warned them not to go inside while still on the phone with 911 and still crying in agony. But Marcus just confused and overwhelmed, you know, wanted to go in and see for himself if there was anything he could do for his stepdaughter. Well, that's when he realized that Kinley was most likely still inside. Unable to bring himself to step over Reagan's body, Chris went in and found Kinley cowering
in the farthest bedroom from the garage. He scooped her up, shielding her from her mother's remains and he brought her outside. Now thankfully, Kinley had not been physically harmed, but she did keep asking her grandparents, where is my mommy, where is my mommy? When the police arrived that day and they surveyed the scene, turning Reagan over from the position that she had been found in, which was faced down on the floor in a pool of blood, they discovered that she was no longer pregnant and that there were no remnants of a fetus present. Less than two hours later, in the most unceremonious way possible, Reagan's husband and family learned the truth about what had transpired that morning in her new Boston home. Jessica remembered that around 11.30am that morning, about an hour after Reagan's body was found, she got word of an article that was going around Facebook titled, quote, New Boston Mother Murdered Baby Cut From Wom. And it wasn't until reading this article that Reagan's family found out that her baby
had been abducted from the scene of her murder. She implored investigators, quote, is this true? Is this real? Is the baby gone? And to her horror, investigators confirmed that that was the case. Reagan's body had suffered unbelievable cruelty during this attack that claimed her life. Because her autopsy revealed 113 sharp force injuries, 39 blunt force injuries, five skull fractures, and a broken nose. Like this was such an aggressive, brutal, personal attack. Yeah, just so it feels so overkill, you know? Yeah, truly. I mean, again, like I said in the beginning of this episode, like we are talking about an evil individual to do all of this to Reagan, including cutting out her baby. Well, meanwhile, Reagan's friend Taylor wasn't very well. Because that day, Friday, October 9th, was about 17 days after Taylor's due date.
Which some of you guys are probably questioning right now. You're like, how is that even possible? Like, maybe even give birth before that, you know, and probably not after that. Yeah. So that day, her boyfriend Wade Griffin, who worked part time as a hog trapper and livestock manager, had a scheduled hog delivery in the morning. So the couple planned to do the drop off together and then head to the hospital for the induction, the very late induction. But early that morning, as they were preparing to leave, Taylor wasn't feeling well. So she told Wade to head out on his delivery alone and that they could drive separately to McCurden for her delivery. Wade drove over four hours to drop off the hogs only to find that his client had in order of them, despite the two of them supposedly texting back and forth to set up this delivery at the cost of $6,100. So that's a pretty big job. Yeah, I mean, he's going four hours driving four hours away and he's like, hey, I got your hogs and the guys like, I didn't order these. Yeah, this guy is so confused telling Wade that he
had not been the one communicating with him at all. Meanwhile, around 9.30 a.m. Taylor was pulled over in her Toyota Corolla after speeding down the shoulder of the highway near DeCab, Texas, headed in the direction of McCurden Memorial Hospital, just northwest of New Boston over the state line into Oklahoma. When a state trooper finally pulled her over, they discovered that she had hit and killed a large bird who was still plastered to the front of her bumper. When the trooper approached her, she was actively on the phone with the police telling them that she needed immediate help for her baby who wasn't breathing. A limb baby who she said was her daughter, Clancy Gail Griffin, was resting in her lap. Could you imagine this state trooper? He's just like, what a scene. There's this bird plastered to the front of her fucking car. There is a baby that's not breathing in this woman's lap and you're just like, what
the hell is going on here? It's weird though because his reaction, don't you feel like he was a little bit too chill about it? She's freaking out. We're going to play you guys the footage in the second from the body cam. She's totally freaking out and he's just like a little bit too calm. Yeah, she's saying, can you just like put me in your car and we can go and he's like, well, I don't know what I can do for you. We're going to have to wait for EMS. Well, and she's saying like, I'm headed to the MacCurrent Memorial Hospital in Ida Bell, Oklahoma. And he's kind of confused about this as is everybody else who's learning this afterwards because there were two major hospitals with emergency rooms much closer than Ida Bell. So it's like, why are you going all the way to Ida Bell and tell them to somewhere closer if your baby is like in your lap and you need immediate medical attention? Right. So she claimed that she didn't want to take the risk of going to those other hospitals because according to subsequent court documents, she believed that she and her baby were in danger because of her mom who was supposedly constantly threatening her.
Heath talked about this a little bit earlier. She has a lot of issues with her mom. We're going to dive more into that today. But that's her reason for not going to the other two hospitals. Okay, doesn't make a lick of sense. Sure. Well, when asked how old the baby was, Taylor said that she had given birth about 35 minutes prior. And law enforcement observed that the umbilical cord appeared to still be connected to her body. She did not explain why she had decided to continue driving for over 30 minutes after giving birth to her daughter in a vehicle instead of just like pulling over and calling for help. EMT's noted that when Taylor was offered water to drink and to clean herself with, that she poured one of the bottles on herself to rid herself of the blood that she was covered in. The blood which was spattered, particularly heavily, on her feet. So let's go ahead and play some of that body cam footage for you guys. All right, baby, you still here with me? That was a good one, man. I thought that you made a choice to get to my high debauchment.
I was a little reminded. Yeah, my husband's up there. Need life, need up to my location. A lady in this vehicle who appeared to just have a baby just carrying the baby in her lap. And the vehicle port is still attached. She's not breathing. She's not breathing. Don't see me all over the place. Can you just put me in your car and drive us? And we're not sitting boys. I'm begging you. There's nothing I can do. You're going to need to need a message. I'm fine. If you just get as fast as possible. I think. No, life nets already don't see anything. They have the baby. Just get it, bird. Her real is sitting there. Look at her. OK. How old do you say you was? I told you so. I told you so. I told you so. I told you so. I told you so. I told you so. I told you so. I told you so. You were 7. Thank God. Born in 92. Okay. So you was on your way to 就是 2A to have the baby. OK. OK. It's fine. It's really nice. Well now that you guys have kind of seen a little glimpse into the situation that's unfolding here, let's talk a little bit about Taylor Parker herself.
Now Taylor Parker had been dating Wade Griffin since they met around 8 April 2019. Though other reports claim that it may have been as late as September 11th. as late as July of 2019. Wade was this typical country boy who valued hard work in his family and was employed at multiple different blue collar ventures including roof repair, welding, raising livestock, and also trapping hogs. They met at a rodeo and Taylor quickly entrenched herself with Wade's family and friends, basically just inviting herself into their lives. And although Taylor may have been more fixated on him than he was of her, or he was with her, yeah, which is so true. Say that again. They did start dating. Now at 26 Taylor told anybody who would listen that she came from family money in Bessette, Texas, which is a small community outside of Texas, Arcana. She bragged to anybody who would listen that she was the ares to a multi-million dollar maple syrup conglomerate called TJ Blackburn's syrup works based in Jefferson, Texas.
And that her family was also descended from Texas oil and gas well money. So it's a cash there. She's saying that she's coming from like numerous different places here. I can't be very numerous. Yeah, lots of money. I have an ares in many ways. Yeah. Well, according to Taylor, she stood to gain around eight million dollars, though this number changed frequently depending on who she was kind of interacting with. She also reportedly told multiple people that she was also the ares to the Morton Salt Fortune, which made sense to many as her maiden name was Morton. Pretty easy jump there. Yeah, like easily, you know, convincing people of that. And although Wade, you know, hasn't admitted this, we imagine that the promise of this future inheritance was probably part of the reason that he turned a blind eye to Taylor's antics for as long as he did. But it's like, so you're the ares to oil money. You're the ares to maple syrup. You're the ares to Morton salt. You know, okay. I don't know how much he looked into it. You know, my grandmother's maiden name is Stalfur. Maybe I should claim I'm an ares of Stalfur Mac and cheese.
There you go. Yeah, you got it in there. Yeah, I got it there guys. But I don't know. I feel like what you did tell me that originally. Yeah, I did. You were getting an inheritance of about eight million dollars from Stalfur Mac and cheese. That's what I'm trying to do. Exactly. That's why we're still together today. So I think I don't know. Like I don't know which Wade really like thought about this. I think again, he is telling so many people these things. She's convincing everybody that what she's saying is fact. Even though the stories are not meshing, you know, like you're saying she's telling one person this, another person this. So I don't know how much he's like questioning it. I think she's just talking and she's able to convince him of whatever she wants. And also I got to say, you know, Wade's personality is more like he's really super motivated with work. So he's not super hands on with other things, especially when it's, you know, comes to Taylor. He's just kind of like, let's her do her thing.
And he's like, I'm busy over here. I'm trying to make a living. He's also like a simple country guy. Exactly. I don't know how much he really was digging into internet shit. Yeah, probably not really questioning her so much. You know, she just, she kind of says one thing and he goes, oh, okay, that's cool. And maybe he had some dollar signs in his eyes and he wasn't really thinking too hard on it and was just excited that, hey, I'm with this girl and she's going to inherit a lot of money and that's pretty cool. Yeah. And on top of that, they both have the same idea for the future that they both wanted. You know, they both wanted to do the same thing in life. So made that kind of easy. Well Taylor also admitted, despite seemingly endless wealth at her disposal that her family was extremely messy. And she had, of course, a very contentious relationship with her mom, Shawna prior. Taylor was constantly complaining that her mom was thwarting her efforts to gain her inheritance and they were virtually no contact. So she hoped that her grandma would go to bat for her and help her secure the financial
freedom that she sought. But the money stall due to legalities, of course, you know, of her inheritance being on pause, thanks to her mom, you know, so it's like, mom's just really messing up the situation for us. Yeah, she's making this really hard. God dang her, you know, I'm going to figure this out though. So Taylor's like, while I'm sorting this, can I move in with you Wade, which happened by October of 2019, it was only a few weeks or months into them dating. So you know, things were moving really fast. Well, Wade didn't seem too sold on her like he'd said it seemed like she was way more into him than he was into her, but she made herself useful around the house and helped out with the chores on the farm and enjoyed playing the role of this kind of doating girlfriend, doing whatever she could to win him over in their new relationship. Yeah, and Wade's thinking, this is great, you know, I found this girl that like, you know, she wants to cook me a nice good meal when I come home from work and she does chores around the house and she'll go hunting with me.
And also she's getting $8 million in her inheritance, perfect situation. And she's pretty, you know, she kind of like as we're going to get into as well, like she really enjoyed that type of attention, you know, she's blonde. She's, you know, she cares about the way she dresses to a certain extent, like she wears makeup. She looks good on the outside, like you're saying she cooks a nice meal. She takes care of the house, like she's a little wacky, but maybe it but she's got all this money coming in. I think to Wade, he's like, I think I can deal with this more importantly, she's extremely convincing. Yes, absolutely. Well aside from her, you know, strange personality and all the drama, she did come with some additional baggage. She had two children from two previous relationships and it also navigated two divorces by the time she was in her mid 20s, you know, bad luck or bad sign. You be the judge. Taylor had gotten pregnant first at the age of 17 with her boyfriend. You know, obviously just as Reagan had this was with Donald Whiteside.
So she gave birth to a daughter named Emerson and dropped out of high school. According to her mom, Shawna, Donald had very little contact with their daughter and he and Taylor hadn't dated for very long when she became pregnant. So it seems like she kind of weather intentionally or unintentionally moves quickly with these guys. Yes. So by the time she was 21, she had married her first husband, Tommy Wakasey and had moved in with his family along with her daughter. They welcomed Emerson like she was one of their own and then she gave birth to her second child, a son that they named Trey. But Taylor suffered multiple health complications during this pregnancy, including preeclampsia, high blood pressure and protein in her urine. So she made the decision to undergo a tubal ligation otherwise known as Get in Her Tubes Tide to prevent future pregnancies stating that she did not want more children despite being only 21. Of course, she had to sign off on this and told everybody at the time, this is what's
best for me and my health and I don't want more kids. I already have two. Yep. However, about a year and a half later, she came back into the hospital with heavy uterine bleeding. Doctors discovered several serious ailments, including an ectopic pregnancy. So a pregnancy occurring outside of the uterus, which by the way is never viable. She also had an ovarian cyst and scarring due to endometriosis. She was rushed into surgery and both her mom and husband Tommy gave doctors the okay to give her a full hysterectomy in hopes of sparing her future problems. Though of course, like I said, Shardy at her Tubes Tide, Taylor was apparently furious when she woke to the realization that she had undergone sterilization because she wanted the option of having more children in the future if she decided to reverse her previous decision. Despite, of course, her condition, unfortunately, demanding that surgery.
She really didn't have a choice. But to undergo that hysterectomy, holy shit. It was either this or, you know, a lot more problems. Yeah. So like, I'm sure this news to all of you is sounding very startling and confusing in many ways based on her later pregnancy, but we will get there. While still married to Tommy, she met and started dating a young man named Hunter Parker. And when Tommy discovered that she had been cheating on him, he filed for divorce, understandably. Just 11 days after their divorce was finalized, Taylor actually married Hunter. Taylor never paid child support after her ex Tommy obtained primary custody of their son. So very soon, she owed back payments of nearly $10,000. Though Tommy at this point, you know, he didn't even pursue repayment or legal action. He was just like, get her out of my life. Well, those who knew Taylor best claimed that this was par for the course for her. And that she had always been attention seeking and put validation from men above anything
and everyone else, including multiple cheating scandals, you know, not really caring who she hurt in the process. But there was a significant uptick in this behavior after she underwent gastric bypass weight loss surgery. Previously, before she lost weight, Taylor admitted to being severely uncomfortable with her body and would even ask her friends to take pictures of their nude bodies so that she could send them to men that she was talking to online in order to appear smaller than she was, which is like, who the fuck is doing that? That is sick and twisted as well that you're like, oh, hey, girl, can you just send me a nude so I can send it to this guy online? I'm going to pretend to be you. What are you going to do when you eventually meet these guys? Nothing. And she won't. I mean, holy shit. It's so next level. Yeah. Well, according to friends, Taylor was alternately delusional confident and severely insecure about herself. So on one hand, she's just, you know, over the moon confident about herself.
And then within seconds, she's just hates herself, hates her body, all this stuff. Which is kind of shocking again, like not to put too much in her image. We'll post photos and if you're watching on YouTube, obviously you can see. But when she was with Wade, like, again, she's pretty like she, it seems like she worked hard to get herself to this place to feel a little bit more confident in her appearance and to try to be happy with that, even though it doesn't seem like that really did it. This is a deep-seated situation. Sure. Yeah. It's not surface level whatsoever. Well, Wade Griffin got to know Taylor's children as much as he could, though he recalled that she wasn't the most present mother. And her son would stay with them on and off for a few days at a time, but Taylor would frequently ponder off on other people when she didn't like, you know, feel like providing care for her daughter. She's just like, here you go. Take her. Which is really sad. Yeah, but again, it's like everything was kind of performative. Yeah. Oh, absolutely. Thus, they rarely saw her kids.
By Christmas of 2019, Taylor and Wade announced to his family that they were purchasing a large farm property called Pecan Point located between McCurten County, Oklahoma and Red River County in Texas. Now, it was their absolute dream to own and operate a massive farm. As I was kind of hinting to earlier, they want the same future and an anticipation of her inheritance finally coming through. Taylor decided that they should just jump at the chance to purchase real estate and not only this. I mean, they at this point, they were purchasing all sorts of shit, but we will get into that. Yeah, we're going to post photos of Pecan Point and or Pecan Point, whatever. Pecan, Pecan. Pecan. Nobody knows. So you can see, I mean, it's a really big property because he tell us what her offer was. Yeah. So Taylor made an offer of $4 million for the property, telling the owner that she intended to pay in cash. I am. In the meantime, she was working at a staffing agency for an OBGYN clinic. And she had a decent job, but it was the inheritance that she was depending on here.
Especially when she was fired for poor work ethic and then pivoted to photography. Essentially what happened is she was like writing in emails to different clients saying that she had a better job than she really did. She was acting as though she was more of a higher up in the company. And she wasn't really doing her job. Like she was just, she was just fucking up. Yeah, just not doing what she was supposed to be doing. But still she took Wade on a spending spree, purchasing cattle, a new pickup truck, a tractor, side by sides, and even a brand new car for Wade's mom Connie Griffin. But I will say just three weeks later, this car that she bought for her mother-in-law was repossessed. Though Taylor claimed that it was taken in simply for a recalled auto part. Yeah, but she never got that car back. So it was like, was that true? No. And I say took Wade on a spending spree, but he was actually the one that was financing the new cars in the cattle with Taylor saying that she was eventually going to pay him
back with this inheritance money. Which is so strange. She's like, hey, I'm about to get my inheritance, let's go on a shopping spree. You buy. Yeah. And especially because he had to finance it. It's not like he bought everything in cash because he's super rich. It's like this is on his credit. Like there's banks involved. This is a big deal. Yeah. And they're buying. I think the truck they bought was like $100,000 truck. They're not just buying some old-used truck. They're buying a brand new $100,000 truck. Which also shows how much Wade believed what she was saying. Oh, yeah. He is putting his credit on the line, his money on the line because he truly believes that she is about to get $8 million. Yep. Well, pretty fast. Wade's mom Connie just got this bad feeling about Taylor. Like this house of lies that she built was finally starting to crumble. Because she recalled that at Christmas time, 2019, when Taylor introduced her family
to her new boyfriend, Wade, of course, she introduced her mom in a bit of a strange way. And she later discovered that this was because she had lied to Wade and his family about her mother's whereabouts. She's got a re-correct here. So Taylor told Wade and his family that her mom had taken her life in prison, her own life, after being arrested following a shootout with police, which is a big, big white light. Taylor claimed that a warrant had been issued for her arrest after discovering that Shawna had put a hit out on her daughter. So Connie then claimed that to the surprise of her and her entire family, Shawna turned up safely months later. So she's like, wait. She's not dead. She's right here. Really good? And you know, it wasn't just like the mom thing. I think the car thing was a big deal for Connie as well because I mean, she posted it on Facebook. Like, everybody was so excited. I think Wade posted about it and tagged her and it was a picture of her sitting in the front and she looks so excited to get this car.
And like, she just felt really suspicious about the fact that the car was taken away in that Taylor just was promising all these things. Like I think to Connie and to many other people in Wade's family and friend circle, as we're going to get into, they just felt a little bit off about what Taylor was promising. Yeah. And that was just all part of the manipulation. You know, she's, she's trying to kind of butter them up a little bit so that they stay on her side. Right. And by the way, Molly Glass, who is Taylor's aunt, also was noticing that Taylor was spreading lies and false information about their family on social media and brought this up with her. But when she did, Taylor just blocked her phone number and all of her social media accounts, which is like, really? That's right. Yeah. She's like, damn it. Somebody's on to me. They found me out. Block. So in January, the couple had even more exciting news as Taylor told Wade that she discovered that she was pregnant, which again, is it possible because she had asked her to meet?
So this is only months into them dating again, a trend for Taylor. So it seemed like Taylor was forcing Wade's hand here and Wade just kind of wanted to step up and be there for her, even though he was also like, I don't know if I want to be with this chick. Like, yeah, I think he's still really on the fence about her like we said. She was very much more into him than he was into her. But this is, you know, being very much set up like a trap. Yes. And I think, you know, finding out he was going to be a father. He's in his late 20s. I think to him, he was just like, OK, this is happening. Yeah, he wasn't like necessarily against it. You know, he just, he wasn't very sure about Taylor. But even little things, he always really liked the name Clancy if they were to have a son or if he was to ever have a son. And he told this to Taylor and she said, you know, when they found out that they were going to have a girl, which I'll get into in a second, she said, let's name her Clancy Gale like she's trying to entice him, you know, do and everything she can.
So let's talk about the gender reveal party because basically it was this really awkward situation. This is when she proved to have a girl or she was, you know, proved that she was going to have a girl just like Reagan. Like her dad was there. Her kids were there. Wade's family. All his friends were there and they brought out this little calf and the calf had like a pink bow and, oh my God, we're having a girl. Yeah, but it was weird because it was almost like having her kids and her dad there was like, see, my families here. This is real. My some of my family supports me, but it didn't seem like she was very close with them, which was kind of weird. Like the only family that you have here are people that you don't really talk to and we already know, of course, how she was with her kids. But multiple attendees, by the way, knew that Taylor had undergone a hysterectomy. But when along with the celebration anyway, not wanting to challenge her or ask questions, because they were probably like, maybe I have it wrong or like, yeah, nobody wanted to
seem like the dick in that scenario and be like, why? Why? Yeah, like, because it's like, well, she, we're having a gender reveal party and she's pregnant so like she must be like, it's like, what a confusing situation. Yeah, and of course, they don't know her. I mean, they, they know parts about her medical history, but they don't know the full story. They weren't there when it happened, you know? Well, many people in the community as well knew that she could not have been pregnant, but no one knew the lengths that she would go through to keep up the lies that she was telling. Well, this summer of 2020 was a perfect storm for Taylor Parker who was aided by her boyfriend's busy work schedule as well as the pandemic because Wade couldn't attend her prenatal appointments with her. But when the news of Taylor's pregnancy made its way to her family members and former friends, questions arose about the scheme that she was running and what her endgame really was. As pictures from the gender reveal party circulated on social media, Shawna texted her daughter Taylor saying quote, what am I supposed to tell my girlfriends telling me I'm going to be a grandmother again. Taylor texted back, curtly quote, you are. Shawna admitted later quote, she knew that I knew that I wasn't going to be a grandma again. I didn't feel like there was a reason that I should say you're not pregnant to her. Which I mean, you know, they don't have a good relationship.
I think to her, she's like, okay, whack job. Like, bye anyway. It doesn't really want to stir the pot. It doesn't even want to get involved. She's like, oh my god, like, what are you, why are you doing this? But she knows Taylor very well. And she knows she can't reason with her. Right. But Wade, on the other hand, was standing by his girlfriend and their unborn daughter, despite the growing tension and rumors that were surrounding them. Ahead of the gender reveal, Wade took to Facebook to complain that some of their friends and family were being unsupportive of the pregnancy because it had gotten back to them that she wasn't actually pregnant. Well, as her pregnancy progressed, multiple people in her life, even those who had only known her since her relationship with Wade, begin to grow suspicious that Taylor was just making all of this up. She had few friends and family members of her own. So most of the people she surrounded herself with were Wade's family and friends who didn't know about her history of fabricating stories. But even then, the lies were catching up with her.
On October 5, 2020, two weeks after her due date and the same day that she was set to be induced at Titus Regional Medical Center, the couple, again, Taylor and Wade, awoke to find that a fire had engulfed the underside of the house. So totally rattled by this, Wade managed to put out the fire. And as they got ready to head to the hospital for her induction, Taylor announced that she had seen on Facebook that a bomb threat had been called into the hospital. How fucking convenient. So their induction was rescheduled for four days later on October 9, 2020, the same day that Reagan Simmons Hancock was brutally murdered. Taylor and the premature baby found in her lap on the side of the road were rushed to McCurten Memorial Hospital. And almost immediately, the doctors and nurses tending to Taylor knew that something had gone terribly wrong that day.
She refused a vaginal check and her levels of human-chorionic gonadotropin or HCG, which is the pregnancy hormone, were non-existent. And here is a video clip of the body cam footage from her hospital visit. Before even leaving the room, the OBGYN who performed a brief pelvic exam on Taylor told
the police it didn't look like a baby came out of there, it does not look like she had a baby. So finally, Taylor caved. And through tears, she squeaked out. My head has been hurting. I had a stroke in 2015 I don't know why I didn't know what was wrong with me because I've never been a bad person. I just really wanted the baby, which by the way, girl didn't have a stroke. She made up that she had a stroke, that she had cancer. She made up all these diseases and ailments and health complications. That's she's saying, okay, I did it. It's because I had a stroke. Oh, you did it. Yeah, it's crazy because her past, the fact she just really relished in the attention that she got from people, specifically from men, of course, but really from anybody. She would post on Facebook stuff like, oh, I'm going through cancer treatment with tubes in her nose and get all these sympathy likes on her Facebook and little hearts and
shit. And she just fucking loved that. That's great. I mean, that is next level, kuku. Yeah, she's a narcissist as well as a manipulative, crazy person. It's really disturbing, honestly, to do something like that. Well, after her admission, she was taken into police custody and questioned immediately. She explained that Reagan had been the aggressor and that she had grabbed Taylor's hair, hit her and pushed her down and told her, quote, you need to wake up. You're lying. So basically saying, oh, well, I came over and she learned that I wasn't actually pregnant and then Reagan got so mad at me and attacked me for lying. After they got into a physical altercation, she said, as Reagan hit her head on a table. She had apparently been holding a knife, which she fell on during their altercation. Wait, this is how you're going to explain a hundred and thirteen like knife wounds to
this person's body. Oh, yeah, yeah, she, we had a little altercation and then she just like, oops, I slipped, I hit my head. Oops, I accidentally fell on a knife. No. I'm not going to ask anyway, if you're a fight, if you're super pregnant and you're weeks away from giving birth, are you really going to attack a woman? And especially like Reagan was like the picture of kindness, you know? She's not the aggressive type who's going to physically come after somebody even if she was wronged by them. Like it's not clicking. Well, Taylor claimed that she had merely been trying to save the baby after they mutually realized that Reagan wouldn't survive the blood loss in her injuries saying like, oh, she fell on the knife and then we knew she was going to die. So I just, I had to do what I had to do for the baby. Yeah, she's just trying to distance herself from responsibility because this is what a lot of like cowardly people do. She then explained though that she had been instructing Reagan to push even though again Reagan is weeks away from birth. So then she's saying, oh, just try to push the baby out even though like we're not there
yet. Yeah, she's saying the last, you know, it was the last resort. I was really actually just trying to help after she accidentally fell on a knife and hit her head. Yeah. And then she said that when the baby wasn't coming out that she like called inaudible and made the decision and surgically removed Braxland from Reagan's belly in an attempt to save the baby's life. Taylor then took off with the unresponsive baby in her lap bound for the hospital. She left Reagan bleeding out on the floor of her home, trapped inside the house with her three year old daughter. And sadly, Braxland didn't survive the crude sea section and oxygen deprivation. And I want to bring this up for anybody who is wondering if her daughter, Kinley, saw any of this. Obviously, as we know when Chris went into the house and found her, she was cowering and she was asking where her mom was. There's, it's not been discussed. It's not like she came forward and said, I saw her stabbing my mom or anything.
We don't have like her testimony on that. I would imagine she saw or heard something for sure. She was in the house and she seemed to be scared. Well, yeah, she knew that something was wrong at the very least. Yeah, but the next time Taylor was questioned, she was clearly like a little bit more put together and offered up a much more defensive response. Like now when she had a little bit more time to think about her angle, she wanted to take even more of the blame off herself. Yeah, I don't even know how you get more defensive than what you already told the police. Well by saying that the murder hadn't been intentional as well saying, I did not do that. I will admit to something that I did do. So saying, no, I didn't kill her and I didn't try to and yeah, I mean, she's like, no story. She's like, I'll tell you the truth about like what I believe is the truth, but I'm not going to tell you lies. I'm being forthcoming with you. Well through forced tears, she said, quote, I don't want to talk about this anymore.
All she did was lay there and talk to me when I cut her. She was screaming, take her out, take the baby out, take her out. She was screaming at me to take her out. She's like, I'm finished. I'm dying. She was talking to me. You know, it was like she said originally, well, I wanted to save Roxanne's life. I'm going to remove the baby. And then she says, no, Reagan told me to remove her baby because she knew she was dying. Where are these stories are true? Yeah, she twists literally everything. Everything in her life is a lie. She'll twist it. She'll manipulate it. However, she needs to make it work for her. That's what she does. Well, Taylor's capital murder trial began in September of 2022 and during it, a legacy of lies spilled out on the witness stand. Taylor's first husband, Tommy, testified that she would regularly practice other people's handwriting and signatures. She had made up like a plethora of identities, especially when she was attempting to purchase
the Pecan Point property. She made up a lawyer named Blake Lyington. Very creative. How stupid. A trustee for her fortune, Shell Western Global, whose name was Shelley Lynx. And she even fabricated the identity of her own uncle that she called Uncle Butch, who did not exist. She concocted over 30 personas to help keep up with her schemes and had multiple phones, phone number apps, and voice changing apps in order to keep up with the multiple ruses that she was running at the same time. Like, I don't know how girl could keep up with all of this. I mean, she literally so many lies stacked on top of each other. Like your brain would just be occupied 24-7. Also, like, okay, goes phase with the voice changing app to like, crazy. This is Uncle Butch. Yeah. Wait. Uncle Butch here. Like, that is just, wow. I mean, yeah, how could one even begin to keep up?
But it gets even crazier. Because she dawned a realistic silicone pregnancy belly in order to keep up with her fake pregnancy, telling Wade that she was self-conscious about her changing body so that he didn't come too close. Because that's one of the questions that you and I first had. We're like, how did Wade not notice? And then Wade later explained. He's like, well, we haven't been intimate in months. And she won't let me see her nude because she says that she's going through these changes because of pregnancy. She doesn't want me, you know, really around. But it's like, they even took pregnancy photos together where, you know, he's holding her belly. But really, it was just a silicone belly that she got off a fucking Amazon. And saying this like maternity photo shoot as well, which we'll put photos of on our socials and here on YouTube, like, you know, they're like, by a horse and they're in a field. And she has her belly. And it's like to know that that was a silicone belly and that she was posting these online
and telling everybody that she was pregnant. Oh, look at me. Look at my maternity photo shoot. Whoa. Well, it's kind of crazy because some people actually notice they were, they were kind of starting to notice. They're like, one day she seemed like she had a baby. The next day she seemed like she didn't. Yeah. And, you know, of course, as well, like, people that knew that she had a hysterectomy knew that, you know, because she's constantly posting on socials about her pregnancy and can't wait to meet our little girl and all this stuff and people are like, oh my God, that's not real. That's fake. And they're just not saying anything. And, you know, probably thinking that's not my problem. But the fact that like you're saying, he, there were actual people in person that were like, you don't look a month's pregnant. Like, she wasn't, it's not like she got a fake silicone belly for every month of pregnancy. Like, she wasn't super consistent with it, which is like, hello. Well, kind of surprisingly here, Shawna, her mom, was one of the few personal character witnesses who was willing to testify on Taylor's behalf, telling the courtroom that she had
always been a present in loving mother and that her children adored her. Very surprised. Which is crazy because this entire time, Taylor's like, my mom's a bitch. She's a crazy person. She's trying to kill me all this shit. And it's like, like, I don't know. I just, I wouldn't be able to defend Taylor after all that. I mean, I feel like maybe it's something about her mom. Like, it's like, maybe this were Taylor gets it from, why would she do that? Like, why, I mean, I know it's your daughter, but like, this is a murder we're talking about. A double murder. Well, Taylor's brother, Zach remorten, also remember Taylor as a mostly good mother, but only when it suited her to act as such. Someone's telling the truth. Yeah, and that she continued to allow her need for male attention to basically just take over her life. And then there was Taylor's search history. Hmm, let's get into that. For months, she had been googling everything that she needed to keep her fake pregnancy alive. Things like silicone pregnancy bellies, newborn adoption, how to find a birth mother and even
videos of C sections. It's almost like she was trying to learn how to remove Reagan's baby, but also the fact that she Googled how to find a birth mother and newborn adoption. Like does go to show you that maybe she was also like, maybe I'll just take, maybe I'll just adopt a real newborn baby and keep up the rules so that I never have to tell people I was lying and go this route first, but then it gets darker. Yeah, she's the type of person that she lets the lies kind of snowball and then she gets into a situation where she's like, oh shit, oh shit, what do I do now? I got to do something really drastic here because I can't let people know that I'm a liar. I wonder what her original plan was. Was it to fake a miscarriage? Was it to hopefully find a baby to adopt as a newborn? Like, I just wonder how, if she even thought that far out, how she thought she was actually going to pull this off. Yeah, I don't think she really had that much thought about the future and what was going
to happen after they discovered Reagan's body. I don't think she really was really thinking about that. I think she just kind of like, she'll lie and then she'll do something and then she just kind of hopes that it works out. And if it doesn't, then she'll twist it and she'll manipulate it to where it does. And will disturbingly it feels like at the tail end of this situation of her pregnancy, she had decided what she needed to do. Yeah, yeah. And as Reagan's pregnancy progressed, Taylor searches became far more specific. Investigators found that she'd begun searching babies born at 35 weeks exactly how far along Reagan was. Which, can I just say really quick, that she could have done that math and known, oh, I'm going to be induced, quote unquote, at this time, this is my appointment for induction if she even had this, you know, like, and then calculating, oh, well, Reagan will be this far along at that point. Well, on the morning of October 9th, just hours before Reagan was killed, Taylor watched
a video showing the physical examination of a premature baby born at 35 weeks. God. And after all of this on October 3rd, 2022, Taylor Parker was convicted of capital murder and kidnapping on November 9th of 2022. She was sentenced to death for the brutal murder of Reagan and her baby, making her one of only seven women on death row in Texas. And also the youngest one, Bowie County District Attorney Kelly, Chris stated that the ruling brought some semblance of closure to Reagan's grieving family, stating, quote, when you talk with them, they're filled with joy and peace. They will always mourn the loss of Reagan and baby Braxlin, but they do not live lives marked by anger or even sadness. My prayer is that Reagan's memory will always be a blessing for this family. And her family seems so amazing. Like, her sister, her stepdad, her mom, like, these are really good people.
Yeah, very good people who had to suffer something just completely unimaginable. Well on the grounds of prosecutorial misconduct, Taylor and her defense team has pursued an appeal, but so far, these motions have been unsuccessful because obviously, why the hell would anybody release Taylor Parker? Well, Reagan's husband, Homer Hancock, actually mounted a wrongful death lawsuit against Wade Griffin, alleging that he was willfully ignorant Taylor's crime, that he withheld information about how dangerous Taylor schemes were becoming, and that if he had been more forthcoming about the pregnancy ploy, Reagan and Braxlin may still be alive. But Wade maintained that he had trusted his girlfriend to the point that when his mother Connie brought up her possible deception, Wade defended her and dismissed the suspicions of his mom and friends, like we've been saying this whole episode, it really does seem like Wade just didn't know. And maybe you're like, well then he wasn't really paying attention, maybe not.
Yeah. Maybe he was a little absent. I think that was probably because he wasn't, his heart didn't really seem to be in this relationship. Yeah, and sadly because of this, because a lot of people were catching on to Taylor's lies, it pushed a lot of Wade's friends away from him because, you know, they're like, hey man, we're trying to tell you something here and you're really not listening to us and Wade, of course, is trying to defend Taylor. He's like, what are you guys talking about? Like this is my gal, like I believe her. Well also like you were saying earlier, he his work on the farm kept him super busy at all hours of the day. So he explained that he really didn't have time to like grasp the severity of the deception that was taking place under his own roof. Like again, maybe kind of crazy that he didn't, but I do want to say I want to read you guys something on Facebook. He posted back in March and or somebody else posted and tagged him, but essentially he was part of creating a benefit for Reagan's daughter, Kinley. And it was the first annual Reagan Hancock benefit.
It was of course in 2026. And so he put on this benefit to try to help raise money for Kinley. So he will post pictures. It's called Kinley's future. So I thought that was kind of amazing that Wade did that considering it was his girlfriend of less than a year around a year, I'll say, who was behind that. Yeah. And I know that a lot of people, I know that Wade and his friends and family felt a lot of guilt after the fact, but you know, it really, it wasn't their fault. They were just taken by a master manipulator, a conwoman if you will. Absolutely. And also, I think sometimes when you're in a situation like that and this is your person, maybe you want to defend them and you're wearing rose colored glasses. Like everybody else is like, wake up. Like, she's not real. And he's like, what are you talking about? And of course, to him, it's like, this is my pregnant girlfriend. She's carrying my child. Like of course, this is real.
Of course, it's happening. And I will say as well, Taylor actually produced paperwork. She had an ultrasound. She had all these things. What a fake freaking ultrasound online. Like, she was, she was going to the end degree to make this look real. Which you and I were like, that's actually a crazy fucking thing to be able to sell on the internet, like a fake ultrasound with specific dates and everything. How many people are getting that enough for that to be a site about at least while I mean really, really wild. So yeah, these are the kinds of things that she was doing to convince him and he was falling for it. It is really interesting the fact that she was past her due date, even originally when she announced the pregnancy, she had posted online and said, do September 2020. And then it's like October and she's still hasn't given birth. And people are again, noticing the inconsistencies of her belly size. It's like, she didn't, like I think she, she thought she did a really good job and she went to all these lengths. But it's like she didn't fully do everything right.
Yeah. And talking about how each time that she was almost caught in a lie, she would just cut that person out. Doesn't matter who they were, she would cut them out. She would distance herself a little bit so that she could continue the lie and keep growing more lies. Unless, of course, it was on Wade's side and she had no idea that they were saying this, which like we've been saying was very much the case and why multiple people were able to try to intervene and warn Wade. But for example, before Reagan was murdered, his friend Stephanie Ott even went as far as to hunt down Taylor's mom and aunt who both confirmed to her that she could not be pregnant and that this had been again par for the course for Taylor's entire life. That she had always used ailments as a way to seek attention. So here's somebody very close to Wade saying, I talked to her family and they're telling me it's fake and he just didn't want to believe it. Well Stephanie then confronted Taylor about this directly. But Taylor just continued to blame everything on her mom's lies, which is really I think
the way she was able to get away with a lot of it saying, don't believe her like my mom has screwed me over, you know. Yeah, exactly. And Shana wasn't really there to defend her name. So kind of just have to believe Taylor. Well Taylor also blamed Shana for setting the fire at the home that she shared with Wade and calling in that bomb threat. But really as we know the call was literally coming from inside the house because also Taylor was behind that fake hog sale for Wade that morning. Reagan's daughter, Kinley went to live with Reagan's dad and stepmom Brandon and Kristen. Jessica who again, of course is Reagan's mother claims that she sees so much of her daughter in Kinley. Jessica said through laughs, Kinley, oh, that kid, she's a mess. She is so much like Reagan. We remind Kinley all the time what a good mommy she had. We would be doing an injustice to Reagan if we didn't.
