Revealing the Eccentric World of Scientology Filmmaking: Marc & Mitch Make a Scientology Film #10

Send us Fan Mail

Step into the shadows of Golden Era Productions with us, your hosts Marc and Mitch, as we recount a fascinating trek through the world of Scientology films. It's a tale woven with the intensity of high-pressure shoots and the enigmatic scrutiny of leader David Miscavige. Join us for an unfiltered glimpse into the creation of the "Cycle of Communication" training film, and ride the roller coaster of history and hierarchy that underscores our experiences in this unique film production domain.

Ever wondered what it's like to capture the essence of L. Ron Hubbard on film? Our journey takes us through the curious world of Scientology's communication theories and their cinematic translations—not to mention a bewildering microphone rig that's straight out of a sci-fi film. We'll share personal anecdotes with Scientology legends, chuckle over the peculiarities of our past productions, and pay homage to the artistry behind preserving Hubbard's audiovisual legacy through meticulous restoration efforts.

Concluding with the impact of storytelling, we stress the importance of documenting the oral history of our times within Scientology. Stories from the studio trenches that may not top the charts, but hold an intrinsic value that paints a vivid portrait of our shared past. We'll consider reaching out to former colleagues to enrich this tapestry of memories. So tune your ears to our podcast and become part of preserving the lighter, yet complex moments of life under the Scientology banner.
