Seahawks Bet on Unproven Backfield for Super Bowl Run

Seattle Seahawks fans are reeling after a rough start to NFL free agency, with key losses

including running back Kenneth Walker III, Safety, Kobe, Bryant, Cornerback Rick Wullen,

and Ed rusher, Boie Mafe.

The team let Mafe and Wullen go, and while Bryant's departure stings, they've already

slotted in Tio Cotta as a replacement.

Despite the exits, the front office believes they're building toward another Super Bowl

run.

General manager John Schneider addressed the running back void at the NFL scouting

combine, showing no rush to chase big names.

He's tuning out the pressure and focusing on moves that fit the team's vision right

now.

Fans and media are in full panic mode over the lack of a proven starter to replace Walker,

who bolted for a contender.

Many expected a splashy signing or trade for a pro-buller, but so far nothing.

The Seahawks are turning to a young backfield led by Zach Sharbanay, whose sideline with

a torn ACL from the postseason and out for much of the year.

Others stepping up include Kenny Wilson, with 998 rushing yards and seven touchdowns over

34 games the past two seasons.

Ashton John T. Halani, with 73 yards and a score this year, and Justice McIntosh, who had

172 yards in 2024.

Before his own ACL tear in training camp, Schneider

genuinely pumped about their potential.

As the offseason heats up, the Seahawks bet on this unproven group to power their offense.

Proving patients might just pay off in the long game.
