It's time for Tuesday, recruiting until and it should be as fun as they've ever had, considering Texas is coming off a massive win over the number one team in the country Ohio state.

Obviously you've done a heck of a job building up that recruiting visitor list. It was going to be on campus Saturday at EKR. You've done an excellent job covering it over at Inside Texas, getting all the reactions from everybody. Let's start with a quarterback position and get into it. What imprint and who? The quarterback is kind of a non sequester. You've got your guys already. So quarterback recruiting are two different things. It's like a whole other animal.

3:31They offer like three kids a year. So quarterback is great and great shape. You had time nuts and from spring branch, Schmitts and Valley. He was there and then you had 28, 28 commit Miami quarterback, four star Neiman Lawrence. Quarterback is good to go. They've got that thing locked down. Now they are looking towards 2029 in that regard. There you go guys. We'll click note on quarterbacks. Let's go on to the running backs. Jay. Well, running backs for in the house and what impression did Texas leave on the guys who were in attendance? Yeah, so they. It was good to have both landing Williams, Calis, Noah Roberts on the campus together. Those are your two commits for the class of 2027 and most of the 27's were committed kids. And so those were two, I think two of the big ones that really stood out. That it was good to get those guys back on campus. In a sense, it was good to make sure that they had everybody in line. But you know, they. There's a couple out of state tailbacks that they brought in that aren't really on the that were on a lot of radars right now. And so we're kind of feeling out running back a little bit because in states got a there's a couple in in state that I think they're leaning towards.

4:37I think there's about four or five out of state all in the SEC region that they really like. And so running back is a mixed bag. I think the biggest takeaway was having LWC and Noah Roberts in the same room at the same time. And if those guys signed together, that's a win. Yeah, it was an advantage that Texas is presenting to those two as a as a backfield tandem in the future. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, they understood that when Noah after Noah committed before they got land and they told Noah, hey, we won't one. We don't we're going to take one if land and jump in if land and didn't they were just going to take. There you go guys. All right, let's go to water seeker. Obviously a plethora of talent at wide receiver in the house on Saturday. You had a very big update on one particular guy. And general I'll let you tell everybody who that was and what that update was about nothing sexy with quarterbacks and running backs over the weekend. But wide receiver my goodness. If you're any good, you were in Austin this week. It was a who's who people. Yeah, you tallhorn. I don't know if Texas leads. I think that's premature. I think that's coming off of the high of the of the visit and the game and and getting to hang out with coach Jackson and you know the family just getting to know the staff.

5:51It it it counter reminds me a little bit of Eastern Royal. Texas was on him early and often number one receiver in the next class and they got him in the boat early. With Bryson, I still think they're going to have a fight on their hands with Miami. I mean, you're going to have to pull this kid out of the state of Florida. And Miami is about as hot as it gets when it comes to recruiting now Texas has a nice little swing of momentum coming their way right now. There's there's a swell building up and I think you might see some some good things happen with the class of 2028. Pretty soon. But man, I don't know if Texas leads for Bryson right, but I know they are a legitimate school in this recruitment, like talking to people close to right, talking to people close to the program like they they couldn't have done much better with Bryson right. And that's what it takes when you're the number one player in the country. You've got to convince him. He just so happened to be at the right place at the right time for the right game. And a lot of times in recruiting, it's about timing. And I don't want to miss out on my guy, Champ Mays of the big 6465 kid out of North Crowley.

6:56He's the end's top in state target for 2028. He's going to be a longhorn at some point. I don't know if when it's going to be where it's going to be, but I have a good good sense that that kid's going to wind up going to Texas big fan of that kid. And so like I said, there was there were so many receivers, so many people and you had kids at you had your commits in the house. Dude, we didn't mention Eastern Royal. Eastern Royal came came through and I know the Texas fans. They're fatigued with the royal stuff. There's a Ryan parallel vibe there. I get it. But the kids showed up. The kid talked to me being stressed out about the game, which means he's emotionally invested. And he said all the right things to the coaches and the staff and the other commits. If Texas wants to hang on to Royal, they had to get him in this weekend. So that was big. Bryson Thoreau was there as well. He's having a great start to his senior year. So really out of the positions, wide receiver was probably the top to the top to bottom. Outside of D line, I think wide receiver was probably the most bally hood of the kids that were on campus.

8:01I'd agree with you wholeheartedly right there. And it was big huge for Texas to get royal back on campus a week after being in Baton Rouge. You know, my again, Justin knows you're recruiting business. I stick more to X's and O's, but I I felt like if you get him back on campus, it's going to be very, very difficult for him to not end up being in this class. But we'll see that's just one man's opinion. Let's talk about well first. Let me say hi to my friends are here. We got war been a house was up very fatigued. I'm assuming this from still from Saturday and I get that royal. That's I hundred percent of bet that's royal. Yeah, there you go. Again, hey, welcome to recruiting in 2026. Hey, tell Joshy. We know that that's his burner account. It's not I can confirm it's not somehow. You know, you can't know no, don't tell me that I got I want to have Josh. I want to have something on him. Yeah, okay, there you go. We're on to you. I don't see this that I do like the percentage on that RPM. It's not all nice. There you go for you are old and Joshy or if it's just one person there you go. Good update from Justin on that.

9:04Let's go to the tight end room. You know, it's hard as swung big in that in that with that position group in the past. Right. We always landed last cycle a little bit differently. You kind of got the guy that you were really after there. And that's not to say Texas has brought in some fine tied in and you see what the room is doing on the field right now. Anything from the tight end position group. Yeah, man. The number one time in the country was was on campus from 2029. He's a four worth all saints know what tarant. He's actually a trance from from El Paso. He is a fabulous looking prospect. I mean that dude does a little bit of everything. He almost looks like one of those kids that you could see reclassifying. He's a sophomore that looks like a senior. Yeah, and I think he's going to do great things. I'm glad that he moved in the DFW's because now he's going to play in front of some competition. But he's going to have every offer in the book by the time he's done. Xavier Brinson tied in out of Georgia for 2028 Chad Simmons our boy over at rivals had a good update on him. Texas isn't a great spot for him. Texas is some confidence since landing Brock Williams. They they've got the confidence now.

10:08Poor JT. Geraci wasn't able to make it. He actually had to play a game on that Saturday. But Brock Williams coming in was big. He's a big recruiter behind the scenes. And I'll tell you what Texas used the tie to end well the first two games of the season. Enough to where you're getting the attention of these kids. And it's not just the blocking Spencer Shannon's blocking has been dynamic. It's the it's the it's the versatility. You know Nick Townsend goes down with the bone bruise. There's no follow up. Emory Winston comes in like it's nothing. And it makes I want to say three big catches in the second half. Maybe four in the fourth third or third or fourth quarter like they were huge. And so the tie to ends. I think the rooms getting a little better last year was an outlier. It was the year after Gunner Helm. Jack injuries filled in admirable. He's he's playing for the bingles right now for crying out loud. Not the not the national you know seven seven you bingles. But for pretty good team up in Cincinnati.

11:09He's there now. But so they got to restock that covered but man there's just there's some talent there that they're developing. That's that's the thing I think it's as cool as saying is you're watching guys that they drafted and drafted they've recruited and developed outside of like injuries last year. And I think that's a big thing for the Titans. Yeah, absolutely agree with you on that as huge. I would love to have Jack injuries on that. I'm not going to have seven you bangle team. I'm saying that might have got us across the finish line. But as Arsian really you know use the tie to end as much last year as you will you saw with Quinn years and Sark in the past. But what she said is important. You've seen growth out of that tie to end position group. You're seeing them do it in a lot of different ways. And then they're still they're already I think impressing people more than. What was what was expected in the passing game. You know what I mean is like you mentioned the Winston catches down the stretch were master for those offense to keep the chain moving. Yeah, and again, it's not just one guy is everybody holding their weight there. All right real quick guys before we get over to the offensive line. Obviously that's another group that went out there and put in work on Saturday. So if you're in attendance as an offensive lineman thinking, Hey, do I see myself being in burn orange? Do I see myself being developed and burn orange? Pretty resounding. Yes, in my opinion. Yeah, there's two guys that I think Texas actually moved the needle with and I think they were already in a really good position with before. And one is our money Edwards out of sire inch and the other is Kendrick Harris interior off and zone the number two guard in the country out of Duncanville. Both of those guys are on campus not to mention the big French freak ischmel Camara came in first time he's been on campus since he's committed.

13:14A couple other, you know, you had a I think Jackson Cook was in the house. Kenya, Hampele Woods. I know Brian Swanson had a game. I think they were playing North Shore on Saturday. But yeah, if you if you saw the offensive line and you play offensive line, you saw a clinic. And what's funny is I don't think even Texas expected the line to play that well. I think our chat a little too much time in the first half. He wasn't expecting to go through nine or ten reads or to have a pocket to do that. And so it's kind of funny how dominant they were with the run game like I just hey and David Rawls is right listen Kendrick Harris. I only nominate about eight or nine kids every class with a must get stamp Kendrick Harris must double stamp. Yeah, double stamp this brother must get this kid not just because Texas recruiting guards has always been a little suspect last few years. Just because you don't want him going somewhere else like that's a kid that's going to be in your program play start for two or three years. And so he's he's he's fantastic.

14:14You couldn't have put on a better show for your offensive line for those recruit so those guys understands they couldn't have seen a better product watching Trevor Goosby. I mean, dude, you're looking at the number one tackle in the draft in 2027 Joe Shad. I mean, yeah, there's just multiple future NFL players on that offensive line that played played like that or they got a future on Sundays. Fund to watch. I hope those guys enjoyed it as well. Real quick before we go on to the defense aside of the ball. M.J. F 206 is asking what Saturday look like for 100 plus recruits pregame reception locker room access all the works. J. W. Yeah, man, MJ we got to get you over it inside Texas, dude. We probably had five stories already basically recapping everything. We had quotes from almost 40 players. I think Steve Wolfong also added like another couple dozen. I think speak woman had a handful as well. Yeah, I believe there wasn't a hundred there. They're I think it was about a little over 80. Yeah, I mean, they're part of all of it. That's that's why they think you know when we talk to them, they.

15:15It's one of those things. You know, you think fans get caught up in it. Man, those high school prospects really get caught up in the moment. Now it fades as they go see other schools and go do other things, but this will be a memory they take with them for the rest of their lives. And so it made a strong impression and I said this before. I could see a chunk of this of the people in attendance being on this being on this field in a couple years. Because a lot of the kids that were on the field Saturday were the same ones that were in the stands in 2022 when Texas hosted Alabama. When you get these big non conference games and you show and you put on a good performance, it sticks with recruits. And so in JF come see us at inside Texas. Let us earn your dollar, man, because we've got so many we got so many updates and stuff. Bryson right quotes, Eastern royal quotes. We got stuff that you can't even imagine man come see me. And J well, I'll make it worth your while. You are a member. Hey, you're already a member. Then man, you need I need to send you some links because I haven't been doing a good job of keeping you posted and updated.

16:16And I'll take the responsibility for that. My man in JF, we appreciate you. There you go. And you talk when we love you man. This is pretty good inside of sources or old is joke. You know, I know that's not true. Because that guy has too many followers. There is no way Joe's burner is going to get that many followers. No, Joe's too low key. If Joe Cook has a burner, he he's not had he didn't have any he might have a couple followers. He's going to keep that thing low, low, low. Chadley has too many followers. There's too many for Joe Cook to be to be Joe Cook. But I like where you're thinking you talk. Let's let's let's extrapolate on that more. Well, one last comment on that matter, but I think the too many followers, obviously also excludes Mr. Joshi. No offense Joshi. I love you. But I thought I hope they got it right. I said, all right. Let's go to the defense side of the ball. Start with the front. The defense of line. I don't care if it's defensive tackles with his edge players. If it's just true past rushers, Jada, how do we work? What impression did the defensive staff? Obviously locked in from a play the run a lot better in the second half.

17:24Got to the passer a little bit better in the second half. Defense in general was much better in that half over the big guy sinking up front. Nobody had a better time than David Dawson. That's the six foot six two hundred and forty five pound edge in defense event future defense event future replacement for like a Richard Wesley or a Lanch Jackson out of humble to task. See the let me tell you something. David Dawson when I met David Dawson, I thought he was a parent. Like he is a grown man. Like that dude is massive. Okay, he looks. He comes out and he looks like he's one of the junior players on this football team. Like he's huge. Texas made a huge jump with him. They look Texas was already in a great spot. They offered him in late May early June after a camp. It was obvious. He said an appointment to come watch Texas Ohio State in late May. This was the game he wanted to see not to mention. He's got a teammate that he lines up the side on Friday nights. That's committed to Texas in 2027 and Jason Johnson.

18:27And so from the D line perspective, man, there was a lot of big big big hogmall is there and none of them had a better time than David Dawson. I absolutely love Texas position with him. I made a post earlier today where I think that I think Texas is the one. I'm John. John Marcus Johnson, big kid out of Georgia, Tunes County in Georgia. Mark John on Twitter. Man, that's another big dude. They grow on big in the SEC country. They just do that whole coastline down there. Man, they're all just huge. You had you had Mark John in the stands. And so Texas made a good impression on the D line. It was a very, very big time. He was a very, very big guy. He was a very big guy. He was a very big guy. He was a very big guy. He was a very big guy. I think Texas lead in that recruitment. I believe he's the number five or number six overall D line in the cycle. I think Texas is probably the leader there. I think they were the leader before this game coming after it. He absolutely loved the trip. And so we said there was a lot of wide receiver power there and they looked good.

19:30Some O line power was there too. And they look good. But I think the D line and the edge kids. There you go. The guys enjoying themselves up front. We got to do adjusting Texas fans want it. We want it. Let's talk linebacker. What linebackers were in the house. What do we think? I'm here to give you some joy. And I'm going to tell you two things. One, the Sean Simmons in Texas makes a whole lot of sense. That's the San Antonio Harlan kid. He's another kid that just looks to part. Like when he gets off the bus, that's a football player. And he's also I love his answers. He is a very serious and tense young man. Some of some recruits take it with grain of salt. They have fun with the process. The Sean, this is a business decision for him. Everything is when I asked him what he looking for in the game. He goes I'm looking at run fits. I'm looking at linebacker sets. I'm looking at where where they're going in coverage. I'm looking there. And then after the game, he was explaining what he was looking for and looking after.

20:30And I just think Texas and to Sean Simmons make too much sense. He to me, he's like this cycles Jaden Nelson. If he didn't commit to Texas tech. And so I like Simmons of Texas right now. Not enough for an RP. You know, but I think Texas is in great shape there. They did the one the one not committed to Texas 2027. That was on campus is also a linebacker. Now I don't think he's going to be a linebacker at the next level because he is gone. He was offered. He was like six three and a half six four. When he was offered, he's out of Kentucky. He's committed to Kentucky. But now he's six foot six. So he's probably going to be an edge at the next level. And it doesn't hurt the Johnny Nancy and Alan Clark are in on this recruitment as well. And he's got Sean Fox. His older brother Stephen Fox actually plays it at D2 or D3. And he would be very willing to come on as like a as a preferred walk on or something like that. If he could join his brother, but Sean Fox looks like one of those late e-vows. I mean, he had some good offers early in and he jumped in the boat early with Kentucky because Will Stein is selling a wonderful product.

21:40But they skipped the Alabama Kentucky game for this. They they want to see Texas more. They had a lot of questions and they got a lot of answers. And so I think Texas in a great shape again, Sean Fox's label was a linebacker, but he's grown out of that probably going to be an edge at the next level. But that's the good stuff about linebacker. You had some of the best in the state come in there and listen, they're not going to miss. They're going to continue to pound away. I love it. And we should have known that a die hard like Chris Bennett would sneak in here for linebacker recruiting. I think he could feel the spot his spotty senses are going off. And he needs to hop on I T. Live right now. They're talking linebackers. Appreciate you being here. Chris. All right. Let's get into the secondary. What impression was made with big guys in the secondary again is a lot of good news from every position group we've had. So expect us more Justin. Don't let us down. Yeah. So the DBs the DBs. Listen, they're in a they're in the best position possible for the number two safety in the country. And that's JF3 James Foster, the third get to go hang out with him a couple of weeks ago at the Lancaster Scrimmage against timber view.

22:43Big big big huge fan of foster and Texas is a huge fan of this kid too. I don't know if he's ready to pull the trigger yet David. I do think he wants to take some more visits. I know he's got every school in the country knocking on his door. He's going to basically choose who he wants the biggest question for me with James Foster isn't is he going to go to Texas. Is it is he going to turn into a linebacker when he gets there. Is that kid is almost 210 pounds now and he's a dance. He is thick and dense. But also some turn and burn and flip his hips in the secondary when he was playing. So like he's got he can do a lot of things. I think Texas leads by a mile in this recruitment. I think this has the horns written all over it. But again, I do think he's going to take more time. I do think he wants to see some places. But I ultimately I do think it's going to be the horns. That was that that was your big guy there. You had some he had some of your commits in the house to Brandon Sherard was watching the corners closely Monterey Jackson was watching the entire defense closely.

23:45But the biggest there were a couple out of state safety. Texas looks good with Jalen flowers out of California. He's a big fan of Blake Gideon. I think it's going to be hard to pull him away from USC and Oregon, but they're throwing hands. They're trying to get him on campus. And so again, tons of updates and inside Texas.com come see us come hang out with his man. Let us let us earn your dollar because we have we've been putting an overdrive with with the recruiting coverage. The momentum is real like you beat the number one team at home and come back fashion. And I guarantee you the recruits will start calling and start jumping and trying to find spots early. And like I said earlier in the show, I think the 2028 class could increase relatively soon. Can you speculate on any silence just just I'm trying to stay away from that. I'm trying to stay away from that. And you know what Jeff trailer doubled down on it yesterday. You know, he said we're from East Texas. We're about 200 years behind everybody else. And so I'm just like trailer. You're killing me man. You're killing us. It's for the brand. It's for the brand. And so my man Paul is allowed to do that. My man Paul has the best jokes. He always brings up some incredible references. And so if he's slandering beast Texas, just know he's allowed to do that. I allow him to do that.

25:56If he takes advantage of it, you guys you viewers, you need to keep me posted. You need to keep me in the loop. Because if he goes too far, we got to reel him back in a little bit. There you go.
