We've had real football. We're going to have more real football tonight. Post wins and at football. Before Thursday night football, we're recording the week one preview because we're out to talk about the Thursday night game. It's time to talk about all the other games here on the audible. It is Cecil Lamy and his segment, Bloom, and it is Tampa Bay and Cincinnati. To kick things off Bloom, this one's going to be a scorcher. Let's start with the buckside first. And Tampa Bay Baker may feel maybe held down by those pocketbooks now, all that fat checks in his pockets with his new contract. But the Buckeneers could put up some points. Mecha Buka out there doing his thing there as well. What are your thoughts about Tampa traveling to Cincinnati when what people are expecting to be a high scoring game? Yeah, good one for fantasy. And two teams that I think eternally need to be saying, we're going to win this Super Bowl this year. With Baker Mayfield, better wide receiver health, better offensive line health, you add Kenneth Gainwell. Now on the Cincinnati side, we're going to see the Dexter Lawrence defense
and his out-goal and actually good at coaching defense. They also signed Jonathan Allen, boy, Maffe. They got a good young corner in DJ Turner, a young defense. So maybe we won't count on the bangles as a defense to pick on, but Baker's in our lineup. We're going to see a split. Strong Tucker's a little banged up. So we're going to see a split between Bucky Irving, who's healthy now and in Zach Robinson, new offensive coordinator outside zone running. He's going to be good there. I think we're going to see a lot of Kenneth Gainwell in the red zone, even in goal line situations. I think they're both good running back to with Gainwell, especially in PPR leagues. Chris Godwin is back and healthy. He's going to be a PPR wide receiver two or three. Mecha Buka is back after a toe injury during the summer. It may keep him from having a ceiling season, but I still think he has to be in your lineup as a wide receiver three flex. And then Jaylen MacMillan has been banged up. He's probably in your lineup as a, not just a what the heck flex, because we know he's a quality player, and this is a quality offense, and this is going to be a high scoring game. And watch out for Ted Johnson. And Rookie Ted Hurst, five wide receivers.
Any of these five guys could be fantasy relevant, if given the chance. So yeah, gentlemen, start your engines, because these are good pass offenses and teams that aren't afraid to turn on the scoring. And with both of these teams, it's not only hey, go in the Super Bowl first, win your division. Yeah. Because they're both capable of doing that. Cincinnati side now. And to Higgins, March Hays can be okay. Everybody going to be more than okay. Joe Burrow is staying upright. We already had Sam Donald go down. Drew Locke step in. So yeah, Burrow out there slinging it. We know what the Bengals can do when that happens. And this really is for Bengals fans. Get excited. Get excited. The trade for Dexter Lawrence, I think, is a real sign that they're changing their ways. And it should give this team more opportunities to control games and not just have to depend on Joe Burrow. And we're going to see from over the summer
more snaps under center, more running the ball from those sets. And all this is going to help keep Joe Burrow healthier, knock on wood. And Bedevea, there was some drama over the summer about whether he's going to get paid he was. Remember they got Ruben Bane. They added Alex Anzalone to help the coverage in the linebackers. Jeremiah Trotter, not Jeremiah Trotter, Josiah Trotter. Jeremiah Trotter, Jr. was still with Philadelphia. He's going to firm up the run defense. So, you know, some new look, some old looks. But Joe Burrow, Jamar Chase had a little knee thing. He's going to be fine. He can tie a little hip thing. He's going to be fine. And then Chase Brown. And I think you're going to see Chase Brown really as a centerpiece of the offense. And if you say more under center, more running the ball, one of the under reported stories, not around Sinci, but around like Eric All. And see, we had Eli Rardon. First touchdown of the season to ACL tears in the same knee. We're going to see Jonathan Brooks. Eric All's back after taking a year off, just like Jonathan Brooks after the second ACL tear.
They're excited. They asked his actor, hey, is it going to be Eismin or No Restrictions? He said, yeah, No Restrictions. So Eric All and that two way tight end, that gives them catching up to the rest of the league. Not just Joe Burrow catching the ball in the shotgun and throwing the ball right away and trying to run away from rushers. Actually, something resembling an NFL offense with a good two way tight end with under center, running the ball with Chase Brown. So yeah, this is going to be an outstanding game. This is going to be an incredible game. And lots on the line on both sides. Sinci and Lions, a little bit different bloom. But with the saint side, we can get excited about the continue builds with Tyler Schuck. So let's talk about the saints and what they'll look like this week one against the Lions. This is another game. DFS players, there's still DFS players left out there. You know, these are games where you're going to try to stack from both teams in this game in the Dome, New Orleans. You know, if Kellin Moore, they added to the offense.
They added David Everett to the offensive line. Of course, they drafted Jordan Tyson. He's out, but DeVon Valey is ready to play a big role. He got a little panged up. They added Travis Hann. So this offense is going to be souped up and they're facing a Detroit defense that has no Brian branch, no Kirby Joseph. So truly, this is another gentleman's target engines. The gentleman's a lady's target engines. Tyler Schuck's a top 10 quarterback play this week. I think that Travis Hann with Alvin Camaro, we're still waiting to hear. He had that knee injury in camp. We're going to maybe see some Kendrick Miller, Audric Estimae. Of course, Chris Alave. He also has some fat pockets now. He got his contract. Let's watch Bryce Lance, Barry and Brown, a couple of rookies, some deep threats. And of course, John Johnson go all the way back to Oregon with Tyler Schuck. You're looking for someone to replace Brock Bauer this week. John Johnson is at or near the top of the list. Remember, they signed no offense. They got a rookie Oscar Delp.
Again, some rookies mixing in there. But Tyler Schuck goes from a surprise now to a quarterback that Kellyn Moore is building around. And right away, you're tested to see if you can keep up with the Jared Goff Lions. And right away, you're tested. This is like, build something wise on a rookie contract. If you found that guy and he can be your franchise quarterback amazing. Also, just wrote about it on Wednesday on our football guys Newswire. Alvin Camaro is actually limited on Wednesday. Even though we may not play week one, he should be back sooner than expected. Because when I saw Camaro was limited, I was like, he's practicing. So let's put a pin in that. Let's take the pin out of the line. Like the Lions. What's the story with the Lions? Well, I was giving crap because you know, we're excited about them. They never win anything. What's the story with the Lions this year, man? Yeah. You know, this is a team that was seemingly on the doorstep two years ago. And got upset by the Jaden Daniels watching the commanders in the playoffs. And then had trouble getting it lined up last year. Of course, with John Morton and Dan Campbell calling plays through pettings and call plays.
Although there's a lot of talk that this is going to be a Jared Goff pass offense. Jared drew petting may be more of an influence on the running game. Remember some shifting on the offensive line, pinning schools now left tackle. Not sure who's left guard's going to be. They have a new center. They have a new right tackle. Blake Miller first round pick. So we'll see how they match up with Brandon Staley's defense. The Saints lost Brian Brasee, a rising first round pick defensive tackle. I think going into his third year. They still have a solid defense. But listen, the last two times to Troy faced a Brandon Staley defense. 40 points and 41 points. So not much to fear here. Start your line. Start Jared Goff, especially in six point pass touchdown league. Start Jermir Gibbs. Obviously, we're watching here as the backup situation. Jake of sailors who I think has some experience. CFL, you have felt something like that, which gives them a little mole. A little more comfort. And okay, he can he's been around. Cioni Valky is barely been on the field the last two years. Dan Campbell loves him though. And he can contribute maybe a little more as a pass protector as a pass receiver.
And we'll see how these guys mix in. The other thing I'm watching here is James and Williams. I think ready to take that next step. And not just a deep threat. Not just a speed threat. We'll see with him and Amin Ross and Brown. And then Isaac to Slaugh who had some ups and downs this summer. But comes in clearly as the number three receiver. Greg Dorch actually cut off surprise. I thought he was a really good fit for this team. So Isaac to Slaugh is clearly that number three receiver. And then they have Sam Laporta who's coming off of back surgery. Had a little hip flare up during the summer. But it sounds like everything is fine. But all of these weapons. You know, this is becoming more of a consolidated offense. But still very productive offense. And again, you know, this could be one of those team that has the ball last. Winds kind of games. We love that for fantasy football. We love saints lines and thinking about what that game could be. And maybe love less. Still love bloom. It's all love. But it's Jets Titans. I'm going to toss both teams to you at the same time. Because it's Jets Titans. Yeah, because it's teams that picked second and third in the draft.
We don't usually get that way going. Superbow rematch. Superbow rematch. Superbow rematch. The teams that picked second and third in the draft. Raiders were not available. The Raiders were playing the dolphins. Who were you picking first next year? Spoiler alert. Look, Jets, OK, Jeno Smith back. You don't usually get to see that, right? Coming back home to where your career got ruined. Frank Reich. This offense, you know. Hey. Hey, you know, see, they said about the AI destroying the world that was about the same chance by the end of the decade of the Jets making the playoffs. So, chase the world. I mean, Andrew Garda or Jets fans, I don't know. But, you know, this is going to be a respectable offense or even a fun offense you're hearing. They committed to breeze hall and off season. They have a good young offensive line and they're facing a Robert solid defense. You know, and they have Jeffrey Simmons and brought in guys like John Franklin Meyer, Trader for Jeremiah Johnson, signed some guys in the secondary, Cordell Flot and Launtay Taylor.
But look, Jeno Smith faced Robert Salah when he was Seattle's quarter-fifth. He was decent, but Frank Reich had to go back into the archives. Frank Reich has faced a Robert solid defense twice, okay? In 2017 and 2021. 45 points and 33 points. Both games, Carson Wentz, was the quarterback. So, I mean, hey, I'm digging more this year into play-caller matchups. And what do we have as a history chess games? You know, we all like to play chess, right? Yeah. And there's a good sleeper this week. I mean, certainly in two-quarter back leagues and super-flex leagues, Jeno Smith against this Tennessee defense could be a good one. Breeze Hall seems to be healthy from the groin injury he had in camp. And again, they're paying him like a lead-back. They have a new offensive coordinator. I don't hope, I hope not, you know, that Aaron Glinn's not going to trifold in this. You know, he says I'm about brainwild and being a goal lineback. I don't know. Garrett Wilson's in your lineup. He's talking more about being outside. Admin Mitchell's the guy that, I'm not saying to put him in your lineup.
He's truly the what the heck flex this week. And Bob is Jeno Smith and Admin Mitchell had a tremendous relationship in camp and in the preseason. We know Jeno Smith's an aggressive passer and Admin Mitchell's a guy that his reputation kind of precedes him already, even if the numbers aren't there yet. And then you got a Cooper and Ken Yen City, you know Mason Taylor in his second year. But we can see who the main pieces of the softens are as they try to get back to respectability. Respectability. What about the tight inside of things? Yeah, Brian Dable and Robert Sala, again, this is a team that is going to go as far as Cam Ward can take them. And early returns this summer, often times we've seen quarterback struggle in camp. They're supposed to, if you're going to struggle, you're testing the limits. You can. So it's that carryover? I mean, the Jets defense is not a great defense. They've kind of gutted it. All right. They did bring in some veteran leadership, though. They brought in Mink of its Patrick and Demario Davis.
Okay. So that's interesting because now you're saying, those are guys. See, you don't bring in those guys in for like a rebuilding team. You bring in those guys to say, you're in Glenn's saying, save my job. And, you know, they have to Von Drey sweat. You know, these teams made that trade, Germaine Johnson and to Von Drey sweat. And David Bailey, by the way, he could make a big splash. A lot of good reports about the number two overall pick and his edge rush ability. So as you can introduce himself to Cam Ward, we'll see offensive line, problemas, mujus problemas. So again, David Bailey, you want a defensive rookie of the week three sack kind of debut? It could be there. Tony Pollard and Tushy Spears splitting this 50-50 actually in favor of spears when we saw them together in the preseason. So I don't think there's a good play here. They're both what tech flexes. If you're going to play a receiver, it's probably Wondale Robinson in PPR. At least we saw it, Brian Dable, use him to help Jackson dark settle down. I think you're going to see some short targets to Wondale Robinson and some deep targets to Carl Tate.
You know, it seems like he's making the spectacular plays in practice, not doing much in actual preseason games. So yeah, he's just down there as a what tech flex. I know people work side about Gunner Helm, the Texas fourth round tight end from two years ago. Daniel Belinger, who came over with Brian Dable from the Giants, maybe playing a role there. Also, Calvin Ridley still there, but there's still Alec Ayomanoir, Kimmer Dique. So they got a lot to sort out. And this is a year where they're going to figure out who fits. And for week one, figure out if you can measure up to the jets. Yeah. And for the whole season for the Titans, it's almost like the preseason. They're just going to figure it out. Yeah. Take the entire season though. Let's talk next about the Baltimore Ravens in the Indianapolis cold. It is the audible. It is Cecilamy and Sigmund Bloom rolling through this thing. And as Baltimore's new offense, they flowers should be okay. So let's talk about it. Lamar and Jackson are new system. What's your interest level here? Last we saw it. See the NFL is the great American novel. And each one of the teams is its own great novel.
And the last chapter of the Ravens was kind of interesting. You know, John Harbock. Bye-bye. Lamar and Jackson, you're not getting a new contract. You're getting tough love from Declan Doyle, who learned from Ben Johnson, who learned from Sean Payton. Okay. So far early returns are more passing on running downs, maybe just more quick passing, reinventing Lamar and Jackson's career. He's getting to that point where running quarterbacks tend to break down. And last year we saw once that injury Cecil was broken, he was basically ruined for the rest of the season, even though he did play. So this is pretty exciting because, and now they did, by the way, they lost Tyler Lindermom, who's the best center in the league probably. They replace him. But it's Jo Vaughn Gwynn. They tried Danny Pinter. He got hurt. Ethan Postard, they signed that, didn't work out. They have Vega Yoni, the first round rookie. So you have a center that's like a fifth string center. And then you have a rookie guard. So we'll see because you're going to be facing the forest buckner. You're going to be facing Grover Stewart.
But Lou Anorumo has nightmares about Lamar Jackson. The last four times all wins for Baltimore that Lou Anorumo's defense is face Lamar Jackson. The averages are 282 passing yards, three touchdowns and 49 rushing yards. Lamar Jackson, my number one quarterback this week. And alternatively, if Lamar Jackson struggles against this Lou Anorumo cold defense, maybe it's going to be, you know, not the smoothest transition. And Derek Henry's in. Yeah, he had a touchdown on all four of those games. Zay Flowers. This could be his breakout season. Jacobi Lane. Not in your lineup, but let's watch and see if he becomes that deep threat. Mark Andrews. I guess if you're going to play Mark Andrews in any week this year, this is a good chance for him to score a touchdown. And for the Colts, well, you got Daniel Jones. And are you going to be the next team to regret getting Daniel Jones? Yeah, exactly. Hey, Daniel Jones is here. What the hell does that mean? And then Alec Pierce just like barely healthy getting out there like, all right, Indianapolis.
Lots to prove not just the Daniel Jones stuff. It's like health status for guys like Alec Pierce. Yeah, that's one of the things that's tough for me to figure out. He says how to project this pass offense. The good news for Colts fans is that Daniel Jones is back. He's healthy. You know, the reports are you wouldn't even know when he's coming back from a kill he's terror. And we know that when Daniel Jones was executing the chains, like an offense, everything was good. Now he did kind of run into a wall against the Steelers taking away the first read. Did he get figured out? You know, we'll see because Baltimore last week, I mean, last year Jesse Mentor's defense gave up 38 points to Daniel Jones. They did get tray Hendrixson. They did hopefully will get Matt Wike. They're a good defensive tackle who had like neck back issues. They're defensive backs are healthy. So Jesse Mentor has this defense. New head coach. He's really got them fired up. But again, last year the Colts had their way with his defense with the chargers. Five touchdowns on the first seven drives in that game.
In that game, John Taylor had three touchdowns. Okay. Michael Pittman and Tyler Vorne had good numbers. But again, you add Keenan Allen, Josh Downs, Alec Pierce, maybe not running the complete route tree that we thought when he got the big contract. And you've also got Jonathan Taylor who should be, you know, this, the thing about this game is it could be a low scoring game. It could be a defensive game. It could be a very conservative game. Unless Lamar Jackson forces the Colts to open things up. And I think Tyler Warren is in. But otherwise, I'm not really confident about any other of the Colts receivers in this game. And really this could be a game where we look and we say with Jesse Mentor has this defense. Moving up in the ranks and really the signature unit of this team. So yeah, this is two teams at a crossroads and two teams that need their quarterbacks to really elevate the team is Falcon Steelers weird.
Am I misremembering things? It's like we got Falcon Steelers this week and Falcon Steelers always seems to be weird. Maybe I'm wrong. Old man brain things get a little hazy balloon, but Falcon Steelers, let's break it down. We do have to a tongue of a low as the starter panics will be the starter eventually. We already know that. But with two out there, I'm a trust would you have in a Kyle pits should be a lot of be John Robinson. What does that mean for this team? And let's talk about the Falcon side first. Yeah, for fantasy, you know, I mean, you're going to start these guys every week. It doesn't even matter. We make it Jack strand out there at some point. You're going to start these guys every week. And that is Drake London and Pichon Robinson and Kyle pits. And Kyle pits might catch like 12 passes. You know, here's a Kyle pits line for you today. 12 passes for 12 catches for 74 yards or something. You know, Kevin's to fansky taking over with two a tongue of I low who lost an unopposed quarterback battle basically.
Now, hey, Kevin's to fansky beat Las Vegas with Shredor Sanders last year. And actually, the only lost 2016 with Dashaun Watson as the starting quarterback against Patrick Graham's defense. So we'll see, you know, the Steelers have a new defensive coordinator in Patrick Graham. I think you're going to have a more modern offense, maybe not an offense that causes me turnovers. Jeff Albert. So if you've ever furnished a restaurant hotel or an office, you know the trail five vendors, five invoices, five delivery windows. But there's a better way to do this. You know, was kept on defense, so there is some continuity with Stefansky, but when you look at all this Cease, is this a new start for this franchise, or is it kind of just keeping it warm while they figure things out? This is not a great draw for them with Tuah and how he handles pressure.
So, yeah, Falcons, Cease Dare, I say, I'm taking the Steelers in my survivor contest this week. Okay, did you just balloon the Steelers? Absolutely. Well, let's talk about the Steelers then, how they get it done. Air Rogers with those new weapons and his new buddy DK Metcalf. All right, yeah, yeah, we got it. What's it look like? News wise, there's really kind of all quiets on the Western Pennsylvania front? Yeah, oh, nice. Yeah, good. We're one like the reference there. Yeah. Listen, this should be an offense. Whatever the Steelers want to do, they should be able to do it, right? James Peer suspended for eight games. Jaylen Walker goes down in the preseason. Those are your pinchers. Those are your two magnificent first round edge rushers for the Falcons. Jeff Olbridge again coming back, surviving the regime change. But you can't run your defense without them. Zedarius Smith comes out of retirement.
A terrible sad story. Like just lost everybody in his family. I guess I'm playing football again. So we'll see. Air and Rogers will be more three wide receivers. He's already saying Jeremy Bernard, great, rookie camp. Temper expectations. So I think maybe we'll see more Pat Firemuth and Darnell Washington. You need to go to the waiver wire for Brock Bauer's replacement, Pat Firemuth, who. Rogers said had a tremendous camp. It was really glowing about him and DK met Kaff and Michael Pittman. But I think you're probably going to see 18 to 20 Rico Doudal carries. He's at least a flex play. Jaylen Warren, he's going to be more of that check down. We saw it. Can you gain well, put up big numbers. Steelers running backs are strong flex plays or running back to plays. And then we're just watching to see, is it more two wide receiver, three wide receivers maybe Roman Wilson? Finally does something. Is it more two tight ends? We're going to learn if Mike McCarthy can change his ways a little bit. But it should go well. Fellow Steelers fans don't get too excited if this game is a breeze.
Yeah, and not saying pick him up, Bloom maybe like pre waiver wire speed dial. But Rogers was praising Wilson during training camp. And that's you know, Aaron Rogers throws around compliments like their manhole covers. So, you know, let's let's keep put a pin on that. Tell me you don't know football without telling me you don't know football. I still hear people talk about Carolina like in a bad way. I'm like, oh, you didn't watch last year because Carolina should call goes up next. This one's a scorcher because of what people have the expectations for the bears and Caleb Williams. Like the growth and development, the steps that Caleb could take. Certainly the confidence he has in the Ben Johnson offense, traveling to face Carolina week one. Let's talk about the bears bloom. Yeah, one of the most fascinating teams for fantasy football because Ben Johnson comes out and says I want to set this scoring record. And my picture ceases that he's going to make an enemy out of every other head coach except for Dan Campbell, of course, until they face in the playoffs.
And then he'll do something like that's just the next step in the Ben Johnson story. I'm sorry, all the other 30, he'll be 31. This is exciting because year two with Caleb Williams. So you have this team. By the way, Ben Johnson has faced Ezra ever once in 2023. Ever since getting started 42, 24 Craig Reynolds scored, Josh Reynolds scored, Jared Goss, scored a rushing touchdown. Now again, just play callers. Go ahead and trust, of course, Luther Burton. Of course, you're going to trust Colston Loveland. Of course, Deandre Swift. The Seabot Calman on guy, he was back at practice, I think limited. You're going to play Swift either way, but if Menongai is questionable, that helps him. Swift, that is. And then we'll see about Roman Dune's a he was limited. Has an issue not the issue from last year, some sort of foot leg issue. And Dune's a is more of a what the heck flex, assuming he goes.
The panthers lost Nick Scorton, a rising second round defensive end early in camp. They did get Jaylen Phillips in Fragyans. They did get Devon Lloyd. They just signed Bobbi O'Caracay too. So they've got some veterans now, some playmakers for Everose defense. But they have a tough matchup. We're going to watch the left tackle and center questions. I think Braxton Jones is going to start week one for the Bears of left tackle. They had to replace their center drew Dolman who retired. So some things to watch there. But I think the real story here sees is Caleb Williams. And does he make that Josh Allen leap in year three, where the lay ups, where the design plays become easy. And then that opens everything up. Is that Caleb who takes the Josh Allen step or bow next spoiler alert? Carolina side, let's talk about what Jonathan Brooks with the damn groin injury. He's just going to get excited about he's going to play groin injury. He's going to play question mark. And also you see what coach can Alice talking about using Tedorola McNeill in the variety of ways bloom.
More Ted different Ted sounds pretty interesting. Yeah, variety is the spice of life. Bryce young playing for contract. So this is a big, big year for him. Because as you can see, like 55 million a year, pretty big deal. New offensive tackles, at least to start the season. Monroe Freeling, the rookie, Rashid Walker. They got really cheap Packers, Rashid Walker right now. So two tackles, I think was Taylor Mowenton with blood clots. Ike Kwanu had that Patel or Ter late last year. So we'll see if the bears can attack with Montess sweat with Austin Booker and really fluster Bryce Young. So the bears have all kinds of injuries in the secondary. How bad is it for the bears? Dennis Allen's defense coordinator there. Sean McDermott came to watch a practice and hang out. And all the bears said, please hire Sean McDermott, fire Dennis Allen and hire Sean McDermott. That's how bad the bears defense is.
The fans want Sean McDermott. So bears defense, answer the bell. You know, Kyler Gordon there. A slot corner out forever. Could be Brian's out. How high ceiling play as a quarterback to Super Flex? Shuba Hubbard, a Flex Play, low end running back to you. I mean, the bear's run defense is pretty brutal. So maybe I'm not giving Hubbard enough credit here. He's coming off of a hamstring injury during camp. Tetson, Jalen Coker is a high ceiling flex. I guess we'll watch and see if Darren Waller, remember they signed Darren Waller. We'll see if he gets sprinkled in there. I like that because hey, you want Bryce Young to play up to a new contract. Darren Waller could help that if he stays on the field. So this is a game where you know, both these teams, I think there's a wide range of outcomes. But it comes down to these quarterbacks and how ready they are to play. Now they've got some experience under their head coaches. Let's talk about the Cleveland Browns against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguar side, much more interesting bloom than the Cleveland side. So like other games, here's both teams at once because the Browns side could be pretty brief.
And with the Jaguar side, it's like, okay, who's getting some goal line work? Because it might be Chris Rodriguez doing more than people thought, even though they want Basial Tutan to be the guy. Okay, let's let's talk about Jacksonville. Oh, yeah, yeah, Cleveland too. Yeah, poor Cleveland fans, you know, Dishon Watson starting. Maybe it's good for Casey, concept the own because remember, Kiki Kudie and his debut set a record for catches in a game. Maybe KCC. I think KC stands for like his name conceptions. So it's like K, conceptions, I gotta look that up because I want to come up with a fun nickname for that. Because I don't have much else fun. I guess Todd Monkins starting like Marty Bunkhalzer and being very honest with his new offense. We'll see about Quinch and Jenkins. He's more of a flex. Harold Fanon, you're gonna play him, but you wonder if KC conceptions going to cut into his workload there. Jacksonville defense, that's who you want in and you want Trevor Lawrence in Cohen year two.
Offensive line isn't great, but at least they don't have to face Miles Garrett and they don't have to face a Jim Schwartz defense. How much does it affect the Browns defense and not have Jim Schwartz leadership? I think Chris Rodriguez is the better play over Basial Tutan because he's more likely to get the goal line carries. Because he's more likely to get those second half carries, Cleveland run defense is decent. Parker Washington has to be in all kinds of buzz, all off season. He's the number one receiver and Brian Thomas Jr. is probably facing Denzel Ward a lot in this game. Chikoby Myers is back after a thumb injury affected him during the preseason. But I think this could be a game where they can go conservative and also to Brenton Strange. Remember, he was hurt for part of last year. High efficiency target for Trevor Lawrence. Even with Lawrence was just getting adjusted to the Liam Cohen offense. And then we'll see if Travis Hunter gets sprinkled in. And then we know he's a full time corner now. Another reason of like that Jacksonville defense. And maybe a few splash plays for the Jacksonville offense. Splashing away for that high powered Jacksonville offense. It is the audible. We got seven games down.
We got seven games to go here on a week one preview. People may ask about what the heck flexes. It's week one, maybe almost everybody's what the heck flex. Yeah, let's get to it. Get you do your thing. I tell people do your thing. People are like, is it crazy? This is the week to do something crazy. Folks, do your thing. We're all just flying on instruments. Right. Right. It's spinning a shirt around your head like a helicopter. Buffalo and Houston. This one is a big one. I mean, playoff implications from week one. It's out of division game. But in conference, Buffalo and Houston could be there at the end. So let's talk about the bills. Sons, Sean McDermott. I think that actually puts them over the top this year. And the bills could get to the Super Bowl. Finally with Josh Allen, but it's week one. It's the Texas defense that is brutal. Let's talk about Josh Allen first. Yeah, this is kind of a sequel to that Wednesday night game. Like, okay, Drake, may you get to face your nemesis. Okay, AFC East quarterback.
Ooh, that didn't go so well. I think Drake, may as nemesis is just good teams. Anytime he's played good teams, he sucks. Sorry, fake, may. Wow, you know, this is good. I thought the Patriots' fans were mad at me when I said that Tom Brady was not the quarterback. I would start at all-time team around with it. Listen, this is a game last year for Buffalo where they got handled by Houston with Davis Mills a quarterback. Now, Josh Allen didn't have DJ Moore. Josh Allen didn't have a healthy Dalton King K. Josh Allen's playing with a broken foot. Josh Allen didn't have Joe Brady basically saying, here's the keys to the house party, do whatever you want with this offense. So this is going to be really fascinating. Dalton King K should be in DJ Moore. I think we heard Josh Allen say, I'm going to go to more early and often until defenses show that they can stop it. And then Ty Johnson may or may not play, but James Cook should be used more as a pass catcher. Pete Carmichael coming from the Saints a long time with Sean Payton and a lot of good receiving running backs
in those offenses. We're going to watch and see if Kallusha Kier even plays. He's been out with one of those undisclosed injuries for weeks. We may see Moore, Kim Coleman, who was also out in a walking boot for about a month. Josh Palmer had a really rough leg injury last year. It sounds like he's back and don't forget Skyler Bell, who showed some good toughness and spunk against the Steelers in that last preseason game. So there are some different places to mix and match depending on who's healthy, but adding DJ Moore, a healthy Dalton King Cade, James Cook, a healthy Josh Allen. It's a new era. See, say, listen to you. They fired Sean McDermott. Now right away we find out. Is it going to make things any better? We're fixing to find out the Texan side. Does it make it any better to get CJ stride or Russian attack? A lot of quarterbacks need to be supported by a ground game, but I think it's a little bit early. It's early for me to make fun of fake May, drink May, whatever. But it's also early for people to be like, CJ Stride can't play. CJ Stride couldn't play last year without Joe Mixin.
Does Dave Montgomery help that get stride back on track? Expectations for Houston. This could be a game. Because remember the last time we saw CJ Stride, he was losing to fake May, turning the ball over, turning the ball over against the Steelers, and only winning because of his defense in the playoffs. If Josh Allen has a good game and can force this into a high scoring game, it's going to fall on CJ Stride. But as you said, C's, Dave Montgomery and Woody Marks, who had a tremendous training camp tremendous preseason, you want to try, but ever Buffalo's past defense was good last year. And then he had Jim Leonard. And you think of Jim Leonard. I know you know Jim Leonard sees chaos. Chaos chaos. Productive chaos Jim Leonard. Yes. Future head coach. Absolutely. Absolutely. And he's got that history with the bills. So I think that if you put CJ Stride in position where he has to take some of this offense on his shoulders, Jim Leonard says, yes, yes, yes, you know, we're going to sweep the leg.
It makes Dave Montgomery not a slam dunk running back to just because the game script could take him out. Remember also by the way, Ed Oliver is going to be back for this Buffalo defense. They got a Johnson Gardner Johnson. And also whenever Jim Leonard and the Broncos played CJ Stride, they took him out of the game. They heard him last year. So we'll see. And then I'll tell you by David Smills. Yeah. Yeah. It's 1816. And Kaysha on booty boy speaking about the Patriots. How are we talking about the Patriots so much in this Buffalo Houston game? Kaysha on booty, Jaylen Noel, maybe Dalton Schultz. You know, Dalton Schultz is not one of my favorite tight ends to replace Brock out powers this week. But if you think Josh Allen is going to be good and force CJ Stride to throw the ball 30, 35, 40 times, maybe Dalton Schultz. So again, we look at these game season because it's week one where like, well, there's a wide range of possibilities. If you want to project one team, you have to understand the other team. Well, we're trying to understand these teams with changes. And while we want to see we were right about things and how our teams do.
Mostly we should be receptive. This is a game where we should be ready to learn instead of thinking we are you know, no, yeah. Because as soon as you think you know, you actually have no idea it is the audible and moving through the games. And week one preview in these games. And Dolphins Raider. Oh, you're getting both. Yeah, Dolphins Raiders. Okay, we got no pitch count, no snap count for Chris Bell. Looks like Caleb Douglas is going to go. And all right, what are both of these teams doing? We had the Brock Bauer's entry news yesterday. We talked about we've been talking about during the show. So both of them to you at once bloom because it's Dolphins Raiders one of the least interesting games of the week. Yeah, again, two teams that are going to be picking pretty high in the draft. Dolphins keep bring back Bobby Slowick. Otherwise, that they're now packer South. They sign Malik Willis. They're carrying 180 million in dead cap. Okay. So in some ways for Jeff Hathley and company, you know, this could be kind of fun.
No expectations. They claim seven players at Final Cutdown. They could play spoiler every week. Exactly. So what does that mean? Well, they did sign Devon H.H.H.A.N. to a long term deal. And I do believe that they're going to as much as he can handle. You know, when you think about like Lydany and Tomlinson or C.C. Even someone like Brian Westbrook, you know, these guys that were like, you're the offense, man. There's everything. You're going to touch the ball at least every other play. And maybe five, six, seven plays in a row. So I think they have any chance to a solid play here. And they're facing Rob Leonard. I just learned from Moon Township. Getting promoted. Max Crosby. I think what you're going to see is run, run, run, run, run. Like 15, 20 pass attempts. Maybe we'll see about Caleb Douglas and Chris Bell and Malik Washington. And I think there is a vision for how this offense can work. You know, you're going to play 11 on 11 football with Malik Willis as a runner by design and Devon H.H.A.N. and put that stress on the defense.
And then you have either short passes to Malik Washington, maybe short crossers, quick slants, screens to Chris Bell, shot plays to Chris Bell and to Caleb Douglas off of play action. And I think Malik Willis can make this work at least against the Raiders. On the Raiders side, you have Kirk Cousins with no Brock Bowers. I love that you and Bob laughed at my joke. You know, if you just started playing fantasy football. Yes, it is always like this as you saw. H.A. Brown, Sam Darnold. Where's my ball? You know, he sees as above so below, right? I mean, there are teams that before the season even starts, they have to overcome something. So, you know, and it's okay if you say this is stupid. I just want to watch football and enjoy it. But if you're listening to this show, you probably didn't say that yet. And you don't have Brock Bowers. Should you put in Michael Mayer? Yes. Michael Mayer is about my tight end eight or ten. I think right around that Brenton Strange, John Johnson break point.
And I think he's the most likely guy to lead this team in catches. He's the most likely guy to catch a rushing touchdown. Then you have Ash and Gentie. Now listen, it's the dolphins. So, you don't need to risk Gentie aggravating this ankle injury. Plus, by the way, we didn't even know about this power to... Why should we believe anything that we know? Do we even really know anything about Ash and Gentie's injury? It's like said, everybody was good when Brock Bowers was literally not in the building. Yeah. It's a Mike Washington game. This is a Mike Washington game. Unless the dolphins make it competitive. And then it still could be a Mike Washington game. But if the Raiders pull away, this is 25 carries from Mike Washington. And why? Because who's the most logical player to replace Brock Bowers? I'm not saying to replace Brock Bowers targets. And you know, Michael Mayer is going to do more of that. But maybe also some of the targets, but more importantly, adding run blocking Jack Besh. Had a good camp. Ready for more work.
It really does make sense to just plug Jack Besh right into Brock Bowers. He's not the role. He's not the same kind of pass catcher. He's not going to put stress on the defense with his routes and with his receiving ability. But he can block. And because of that, you can just wear out this dolphins defense with Gentie and Washington. So I think that this is going to be for Clint Kubiak. And remember, he came out of the gate with the Saints with Derek Carr. You know, they had two games. I scored over 40 points. So usually that whatever the new looks are. And we saw from the preseason, I think it's the run blocking. Remember the offensive line. It was Pete Carroll's son. It was a joke. So I think you're going to see an offensive line that is much more invigorated. They get Colton Miller back. I would expect 40 carries between Gentie and Washington in this game. Hmm. Let's move on to Packers and the Minnesota Vikings. Here's a preview in the week one games right here on the Audible. Cecil Lamy and Sigmund Bloom and running back by committee.
Marshall Lloyd is the bees knees. But is everyone going to run to the waiver wire for Chris Brooks next week? It's going to be a committee. They can't say how much they're going to use. So let's talk Packers side first. And yeah, everyone's going to be watching as Marshall and Lloyd going to pay off. And I think for the Packer cease, the question is, is Jordan love ready to put this offense on his shoulders? And I think that even if it's fall in America, make it count. Josh Jacobs had not been put on the commissioners' exemplest. This was the direction this was moving, this offense. One problem though, offense of line. Okay, they've got two positions, a guard position right tackle, where they don't even know who's going to start. Because their starters, air and bank, Zach Tom, Baco, Boale, I think, he changes the name in the off season. They don't even know if those guys are healthy enough to play. And I don't like this idea of rotating players during a game. That just doesn't make any sense to me at all. And the offensive line is conny, it would be what's important. And you know that Brian Flores is not going to have any mercy knowing that this offensive line is in trouble.
Now, with no Romeo dobs, you do have a more concentrated target tree, Christian Watson, a true number one receiver now maybe. He didn't read, boy, sure make sense if you don't think you have a lot of time to throw down a few to get the ball and Jaden reads hands. He was a little banged up. Matthew Golden, lots of buzz about Matthew Golden. And then Tucker Kraft, who said they're going to have me on a pitch count. No, they're not going to have me on a pitch count. Maybe they are going to have me on a pitch count. You know, I understand if you say I may be I'm not starting Tucker Kraft in his first week back from ACL surgery. But Brian Flores just got Harrison Smith back. That helps take some of the sting away from them, training away Jonathan Greenard. I do have Marshall Lloyd, but I think the last thing you want to do is give Marshall Lloyd 20 or 25 touches in his first NFL game. Even going back to college, he wasn't a true workhorse kind of back. That's not how you want to use him. You want him in a tandem. So he's just about the heck flex. We'll see about Chris Brooks. We'll see about Caleb Johnson. You know, they won it last year when they did beat Minnesota. They just ground it out with a manual Wilson. He had like 28 carries in that game.
They can't do that in this game. So it is going to put the focus on Jordan love. And you know that Brian Flores is going to put the focus on getting Jordan loves face. Minnesota side, Kyler Murray at quarterback. And there is a deadline. We talk about Windows bloom. There's a window for Kyler Murray. It's from now until when GTA 6 is released in November. And then you won't have Kyler Murray because he'll be playing GTA 6. Everyone will be playing GTA 6. But let's talk Minnesota side in week one where Kyler Murray is the starter. Just feed Justin Jefferson. It's okay. Just keep doing it. Keep going back to the well. Let's if Kyler can do that. See, is there a mission in GTA 6? For like you find the playbook someone left in the back seat of the car to get a game playing for this week. Something like that. It could be something put it in there for Kyler. Look, I think Kevin O'Connell is wanting to coach for his job this year. And with Kyler Murray, just don't lose the game. Just don't turn the ball over.
Don't try to do anything to brave. They brought in Frank Smith. And that's your classic outside zone running that is so it is Jordan Mason to a T. I think this could be a game that announces that Jordan Mason is the point of the spear for this offense now. And Aaron Jones as a flex level play, these two guys really setting up the pass with Kyler Murray. Maybe you do more play action. Maybe you move the pocket. You don't have to worry about him seeing around his offensive lineman. How will that affect Justin Jefferson? I mean again, yeah, you're gonna play Justin Jefferson this week. But this is a good measure because the Packers corners even pick on them. But you can't really run a structured offense with Kyler Murray. You know, again, you're telling me to take a first round pick. Wide receiver and his quarterback was a downgrade significantly from Jacobi Berset as a passer. Well, we'll see how this goes. Yeah, Jordan Addison, of course, you know, he could make some big plays.
But otherwise, you know, just be safe. Offensive line helps to be better remember when a micaparsins out for like half of the year. You know, whenever this team did have success against Green Bay with Sam Darnold, who was throwing to the wide receivers. So again, this is maybe a good start for Justin Jefferson, not so much gloom and doom. I think with Kyler Murray, he's as healthy as he's gonna be. And Vikings fans should have as much optimism as they possibly could have as we see how this all goes. You know, see, this is not where Kevin O'Connell wanted to be at this point in his coaching tenure with the Vikings. No, not at all. Let's move on to the NFC East matchup versus the Washington commanders versus the Philadelphia Eagles here. And listen, I love Jayden Daniels. He's a punchline now because the college came to have this little kid there, a little kid with a sign that's like, Jayden, don't sue me. I'm only five or I'm not five. I'm seven or whatever. Like, yeah, Jayden, stop being a punchline.
See if you can go out there and do something. I don't have any faith in the commanders this year, even though I love Jayden. Dude's got to stay healthy and play good football. Not so sure, gloom. Let's talk about their matchup against the Eagles in week one. Yeah, you hate to fall into the history doesn't repeat that it rhymes. But this short feels like Rob Gryff in the third and you know, just where you had this incredible year. Everything went so wonderfully. But then once the injuries come and Cliff Kingsbury has no counter punch, David Blow. He's been an assistant quarterback coach for two years. It's really interesting, C.S. because clearly, if you're a backup quarterback, I think there's two things going on. Number one is if you're a backup quarterback, you're not getting by. Notice these guys that are becoming great offensive minds. They're not first round pick quarterbacks. They're quarterbacks who had to get by on knowledge and studying and really getting into football IQ. And then I think how you probably how you prepare is back up quarterbacks. It's not much different than how you prepare as an offensive coordinator for a game.
And David Blow will see how this is going to work for him because offensive line is got some problems are facing probably the best defense in the league. Certainly an NFC, Vic Fangio, Future Hall of Famer. What does he make meatballs? Is that what everybody wants? Vic Fangio meatballs in the pasta. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, Jaden, you know, maybe that's the only thing that's going to help him feel better. Running game, they want to do more under center running for Corey Krosky, Marit, little dinged up. We're probably see a lot of a shot white. He's just a PPR scam with the heck flex. K-Tron Allen. You know, Terry McClorens in his flex play. How is exactly how will Jaden Daniels have time to throw down field? You know, I think Washington fans, you just don't want him to get hurt. There'll be some short targets for Stefan Diggs, for rookie Antonio Williams, for Chica Conco. But you know, see, you just wonder how soon before we start to hear the Dan Quinn hot seat. And then we get into this whole thing where your quarterback and your head coach are out of sync.
You know, Adam Peters, boy, it looked great after one year. But the real challenge was to come and it might get tougher. Yeah. And the Eagles toughness on the flip side, probably just a lot of sake, one Barclay. And Devonty Smith getting the JSN treatment. And Mike Common, please understand who Jackson Smith and Jigbez, because... I'm going to keep calling him like JNS or something. It's not a, it's not a freight company coach, Tomlin. It's Jackson Smith and Jigbez, but pretty good. I want to remember his name. But anyway, Devonty Smith getting the JSN treatment. Let's talk about it. Yeah, you might not get a ton of targets in this one, because they might not need to throw much. Sean Manian, another one of these backup quarterbacks, becoming an offensive coordinator for the Eagles. The offensive line helps to be better coming into the season, at least, than it was last year. No, AJ Brown. No, Patriot talking about AJ Brown. And you have a commander's defense, Dan Quinn, defensive coach, right? Well, they draft sunny styles. They signed Odafe O'Walio, Sean Hall, Mike Robertson, Caleb Onchayson, Rutsuul Douglas, Nick Cross.
I mean, usually when you're signing that many guys, okay, Adam Peters, they gave, they opened up the wallet for a bunch of guys that may not really improve your defense that much. For Philadelphia, like you said, more running, more outside running. Take on Barclay. Tends to pick on Washington. You know, even last year when the Eagles, the offense was down. He had a good game. Tank Biggs, be it a deep what the heck flex, because he's such a perfect fit in this new running game. Jalen Hertz. I don't know if he has a super high ceiling, because I don't know if Washington's going to make this competitive, but he will be throwing it to Devonty Smith. And then we'll see how he riffs with McCuy lemon with Don Tavian Wicks. Dallas Goddard. Yeah, I don't know. Again, if it targets will be there, we even heard some rumblings about Zach Hertz, maybe coming back to this team. I don't know if that's more about McCuy lemon or Dallas Goddard, but it's not necessarily an impressive offense cease, but it's an offense that should do enough to be Washington in this game. Yeah, it should be enough to compete in that division.
Let's move on and talk about both teams at the same time, Bloom, because it's Arizona versus the chargers. NOL I MIT, as Master P would say, no limit for Jeremiah love, according to reports. And now the charger side, maybe not a lot of news other than Charlie Kohler is the tight in one, huh? All right, both teams at once bloom, because this game should be born as hell. Yeah, exciting, Mike McDaniel, not as exciting, a rookie center, and some guard spots that are very questionable. So how's that going to be? I mean, I mean, I'm here in Hampton, turn your line up. Don't this should be a good game for I'm here in Hampton based on the game script, but you wonder if the offensive lines going to get that push Keaton Mitchell's back. There's come on, but all so we're going to see some maybe some different flavors. I mean, if it's the tackles that are healthy, wouldn't that mean you're running more outside zone, you're stretching the defense more that's not so much Hampton, that's more of a dial by Dylan Mitchell. I'm doing the chargers first, sorry. Well, it's fine. You got both at the same time, because it's the same.
So, so this game actually, these two teams played, um, McDaniel faced, not these two teams, McDaniel faced the Cardinals D, and I think one 28 27 back in 2024. So, you know, you can see that he should have some success. I would say with short plays to Lad McConkey to Quentin Johnson, because see, one thing you can do when you have a busted up into your line, you can do Max protect you put that arm. Remember, we saw Mike McDaniel in camp, but this place is only going to work if Justin Herbert can make like a god level throw. Oh, he just did. Oh, what can I do with a quarterback like this? And I think that's throwing down field, maybe even to Brennan Thompson or Counder and Amber Smith. We'll see what tray Harris can do. I think Justin Herbert is actually the best play here, because Arizona defense is suspect. Walter Nolan is an up and coming player who could pick on that interior line. Like you said, we're going to see Charlie Kohler lead the tight ends, but there's also David and Joe, who are on a gaffes and 12 players score in the first 12 weeks.
My man Blake Almer, if you said with the Cardinals defense, maybe 12 players score and week one on the cardinals side, can Michael Florentch, a Kobe Brissett have some fun here with Michael Wilson, his new contract of resurgent, Marvin Harrison, Jeremiah Love in his talent, of course, there's training bride. And you have the chargers losing Jesse mentor, Chris O'Leary and internal promotion, kind of unknown here. I think this Cardinals offense, good surprise. I think the chargers are favored by 10. I mean, we don't talk like lines on this show. That seems like a lot. When this Cardinals offense is going to be loose and try to put some points on the board. We'll see what happens there and moving on to Dallas and the Giants. How about them, Cal boys? And how about all of them? Cal boys are in your fantasy line of bloom. Yeah, all of them. They did have Tyler Smith, their best offensive lineman, their top guard go down, but TJ Bass, you know, all the Cal boys folks saying, well, if you're going to lose somebody, if we have to go to a backup on our offensive line, that's the one. Space for you know, TJ Bass is going to be pretty good. Clayton Adams, it's another guy that by mid season, you're going to be talking about who's going to interview him first offensive wizard and marrying run and pass with Brian shot and Heimer.
I think you got a Dak press caught who's going to really have and at tremendous season has I would say the best combination of wide receivers in the league. Plus you have Ryan Flornoy, who had a big off season and summer as a number three. He's going to face Denard Wilson, Giants, new regime. They've got kind of a NASCAR line. So it's sure seems to me like if you're facing that kind of defense, our Bel Reese, Abdul Carter, run the ball, run at him. Our ball Reese is actually a pretty stout run defender, but a lot of Javonte Williams. I think you're going to see Javonte Williams get 20 25 carries in this one. Jake Ferguson had a good summer. He's not a bad guy to plug in if you need to replace Brock Bowers, but I do think C.C. We may see in this one that the Dallas offense is a force to be contended with, but also maybe the Dallas defense is now too. Yeah, and we'll see what that defense can do against the Giants when they have so many questions.
Are you buying Tom Harboh, Matt Nake, Jackson, darling? No, no. So look, I want to talk more about the Cowboys defense really. Christian Parker, Vic Fangio, future head coach, future head coach. Yeah, Cowboys have two future head coaches on their staff. And they go out and they draft Caleb Downs, who's going to start week one, basically a coach on the field. They, Jai Sean Baram, also, Arviel Reese Light. They made some really good additions. The winters were Sean Gary, Jalen Thompson. They're going to get some guys back from injury to like, Demar and Overshown, Sean Revelle. They also drafted Malachi Lawrence in the first round. So, okay, Jackson Dart, okay, Malik neighbors, who's probably going to play at Sunday night. I mean, go ahead and set your line with neighbors unless we hear that he's not going to play. But we barely even got to see Jackson Dart and Malik neighbors. And neighbors got hurt on a aren't deep pass.
I don't know if Jackson Dart's strengths match up with Malik neighbors and outside of playing outside of structure. I don't really know what Jackson Dart's strengths are right now. I do know that Isaiah Lakeley is going to, he and Kyle Pitts are going to be in a competition for the most catches and least yards per catch. So, you love those PPR formats. You know, Christian Parker, remember this? Christian Parker was part of the defense that just checkmated Patrick Mahomes. Right? I mean, just, you know, left him with no possible answers. You know, I mean, offensive line issues, etc. But, you know, we'll see Darnel Mooney as the wide receiver too. I don't even know if Nazi Harris is going to play. Maybe we'll see some Tyrone Tracy. But yeah, I think with the Giants, you know, this is one of those games that could show folks, hey, John Harball and company, they're not going to turn this thing around right away. Or they're going to turn it around, but they're going to have to make massive changes. Yeah. Massive changes. All right. Monday night football.
It is Broncos show. Finally, Broncos and chiefs and Jalen Waddle, Cortland Sutton doing their thing, getting excited about that. You got Bonaix out there looking to take that Josh Allen year three leap with Davis Webb. There's another one of your backup quarterbacks bloom that's now in OC and a future head coach. I was talking to somebody yesterday that said, wouldn't he be great coaching Joe Burrow next year? And I was like, hmm, I could definitely see that with Davis Webb. By the way, just an alert. Okay, this is for all of fans. This is going out the bat signal right bloom. Both Mike Kliss and Andrew Mason friends of the show said last week. Hey, maybe Jonah Coleman won't get a jersey in week one. Because of Tyler Bade and his pump protection ability and his ability in past protection. Now, Jonah Coleman, they do trust in past pro. So that's the thing. But JK is going to get, you know, 15 carries. RJ Harvey is going to get 15 touches, probably a lot of receiving a wheel route for RJ Harvey touchdown.
There's my mile high moment bloom. I've already seen the future RJ Harvey is going to touch down this game Monday night. Let's talk about it knowing that the running back situation is going to be different. Yeah, we saw this is usually a matchup that is a rock fight. You know, you don't think of offense when you think of these Broncos chief matchups. But when you add Jaylen Waddle and you have bonics going to his third year, Sean Payton, Mini Me, you have stability on the offensive line, you have Pat Bryant healthy. We'll see. And this could be a yardstick look at what they're doing is working. And they're not just grinding it out like they did with JK Dobbins in one of the wins last year. Then it may be time to get excited. Man's sword delaying the number six overall pick they move up chief number trade away, Tremac Duffy, Jaylen Watson's gone. So they've got some new corners. They do have some more punch up front and they cut the Jerry's need back. There's your reclamation project. But I think look for Jaylen Waddle to have a big gain here.
Look for Sean Payton to show Steve Spagnolo. Oh, yeah, you thought you were ready for this offense? No, I don't think you're ready for this jelly. Is that what it is? The JK Dobbins, what the heck flex? You know, we'll get his 13 to 15 carriers first shot at the goal line. Like you said with RJ Harvey, the names that are coming up cease are like Darren Sproles. You know, this kind of player where you're really focused and you saw what he did. I think it was Edger and Cooper in the preseason. I've just left him in the dust. Just absolutely. So RJ Harvey, you know, there's also talk that things are slowing down for him. So I do think that you're right to point out RJ Harvey as a player right behind Jaylen Waddle, where there are going to be some looks and some things with him that maybe Kansas City doesn't have on tape. And you know, this is a really exciting one because the Broncos, you can see how close they made it. And of course, Bonyx got hurt. But if they have more punch on offense, if they have an offense that has the ability to keep the defense off balance with the defense,
that they have, you know, again, we're looking at the AFC cease and we've talked about all these teams since an ad he's getting better, Buffalo is getting better. Used in hopefully getting better, you know, this, this is a game where the Broncos should be better than the chiefs. But really, they're thinking, are we better than the best of the AFC? Yeah. And RJ Harvey is going to be the third leading receiver on that team. Let's talk about the chiefs, Pat Mahomes, good to go. All right. Kenneth Walker motivated Eric B. Enemy putting a boot in your ass. So if Kenneth Walker had any work ethic issues in Seattle, those should have gone, bye bye, because E.B. isn't going to play that. But yeah, it's the, it's the chiefs, but right. Let's just be honest, this ain't 2018, baby. It's so long ago and so many people still assume like Pat Mahomes going to drop 35 game right? No, no, good to go. A little bit eased in bloom. You know, you got a regular season, got to get the hit, get the blood flowing, all that.
But thoughts about, I mean Travis Kelsey going to father times undefeated. Yeah, when that happened. Yeah. Speaking of father times, he's I do know point out both Vance Joseph and Eric B. Enemy in my blood. Eric B. Enemy in my play collar research, both from New Orleans. B. Enemy left, when he's about 10 years old, I didn't realize this. Vance Joseph was an all state, state champion quarterback here. And was also a guard on a state champion basketball team. Man, Vance Joseph now champion man. He is a champ and Kelsey tends to have big games against Vance Joseph defenses. Like you said, we'll see you follow time. But with Pat Mahomes nine months removed from reconstructive knee surgery. Okay. Sounds like Josh Simmons the tackles going to be out. Okay, now you have tackle problems. Oh boy. Oh boy. Vance Joseph can pick and choose his spots to blitz. This is now notice also on the other side of this. Eric B. Enemy has faced Vance Joseph twice as a play collar.
One of the games was with Washington with Sam Howell and he and they won 35 33. Remember this game sees Sam Howell Brian Robinson had a big game Logan Thomas scored a touchdown in that game. And the next week, by the way, was when my he puts 70 on Vance Joseph the next week. Vance Joseph says, still here. And this is going to be a lot easier job actually in stopping Sam Howell because the Broncos are going to be able to send heat knowing that Russia. You're right. Doesn't win against man coverage will see about Xavier worthy just kind of jam him and disrupt the route right. Cyrus Allen. Here's your one guy that can win in man coverage because here's the thing with Patrick Mahomes. You don't worry about playing man coverage because he's not going to run not in the first game. I mean, that's just crazy. Okay. So you can turn your back and send the house and someone has to get open right away. And I mean, we'll see if Eric B. Enemy and Andy Reed realize that Cyrus Allen is the guy. That can save this offense because otherwise, you said with Kenneth Walker, remember this team has ever really established the run, at least not in previous years now with Eric B. Enemy.
They had a productive backfield, but it still wasn't a running team. So we'll see Kenneth Walker maybe left in there for past protection. If not at a rookie Emmett Johnson. He's going to have to be because they have an undrafted rookie left tackle starting right right and they let go and Mari De Mercado, who was their best past blocking running back Dallas claimed him. So you know, see, could this be the first sign it's like it was a nice run chiefs. Remember I said it's a dynasty. Yeah, well, dynasty is over. I made Patriots fans mad and you just made chiefs man fans, but the Jack fans love us both. That's all that's weird. But I like it made up with him. Yeah, well, I like it because Jacksonville. I think it's Liam Cohen. He's great, great mind. Anyway, we're here. We made it bloom. You ready? This is great. You know, I mean, I just like that we have something to think about something to look forward to, especially the time we get to spend together. Everything that we learn is going to change with everything new that we learn. And no matter what happens, you know, again, gets get it out of the way.
I mean, every one third of the teams or one quarter of the teams and fancy leagues already lost somebody and one game has been played. So why are we here? We're here because we're friends. We're here because we like spending time together. We like having shared experiences. We like watching stuff together. We're like, did you see that? And there's nothing better. And you know, it's it's a really tremendous thing. You know, see, I say this like when I'm talking to Greg Rosenthal or Evan Silva and other people, but I want to say it on the air with you, you know, people go through life and say, I could have done that. I could have done that. And we can look at this show in 21 years and say we did this, but the we's all of you too. We all did this. You love this show. You're part of the reason that this is something that people can love. So don't forget that because we love you. He's Sigmund Bloom. We follow him on all the socials at Sigmund Bloom.
