WBZ Book Club — The Kill List, by Frederick Forsyth. Machine-transcribed; use the interactive transcript above to jump the player to any line.
Hello and welcome, this is the WBZ Book Club, I'm Jordan Rich. Having been a fan of Frederick Forsyth, who wrote classics like The Odessa File, The Fourth Protocol, The Dogs of War, and of course, Day of the Jackal, I recently picked up one of his last projects called The Kill List, and it's a page turn. People in the US and Great Britain are attacked at random. Being murdered by Islamic extremists, radicalized online by a mysterious terrorist known only as the preacher, our government has what's called The Kill List, a secret list approved by the president that aims to do one thing, technical operation support activity, and its most able operative is someone called The Tracker, a marine officer whose own father was murdered by one of the preacher's acolytes. Multiple government agencies from British MI6 and the CIA to the Mossad, all teaming up to help The Tracker find The preacher. Frederick Forsyth's Kill List, another top thriller, and that's the Book Club, WBZ, Boston's News Radio. Honestly, honestly, honestly, no one wants to think about HIV, but there are things that
everyone can do to help prevent it. Things like prep, prep stands for pre-exposure prophylaxis, and it means routinely taking prescription medicine before you're exposed to HIV, to help reduce your chances of getting it. Prep can be about 99% effective when taken as prescribed. It doesn't protect against other STIs though, so be sure to use condoms and other healthy sex practices. Ask a health care provider about all your prevention options, and visit findoutaboutprep.com to learn more sponsored by Gilead.
