The Lowe Job with Grace Alexander

Kail sits down with debut author Grace Alexander to talk about her novel The Lowe Job and the scandalous, reality-TV-inspired world behind it. Grace shares how she went from working in finance to writing her first novel during maternity leave, landing a literary agent, and becoming a Book of the Month pick.

They dive into the inspiration behind the book’s scandal, the influence of celebrity families and social media, and what it means to turn a public scandal into an empire. Grace opens up about the realities of publishing, writing complicated female characters, finding her writing style, and the pressure of following up a successful debut.

Plus, Kail and Grace talk dream casting, UK vs. US book covers, mood reading, favorite authors, and the characters that made The Lowe Job so much fun to write.
