Welcome to His Light, Your Path. We're so glad you're tuning in as we look for hope, wisdom, and encouragement straight from God's Word.
Today Pastor Rod Hallor Senior brings us a devotional titled, The Place of Blessing.
In a world that's often noisy and uncertain, it can be hard to know where real blessings come from.
In today's devotional, Pastor Hallor will help us discover where true blessings can be found and how we can experience them for ourselves.
Matthew, chapter 6 verses 31 to 33.
Therefore, take no thought saying, what shall we eat, or what shall we drink, or wherewithal shall we be clothed,
for after all these things do the Gentile seek, for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all such things.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.
Christians are to follow the Lord. He has a plan and purpose for every believer.
Therefore, every believer is to follow Him throughout his life.
Our text verses tell us to seek God, follow Him, and all our daily needs will be supplied.
We must realize the importance of seeking God daily and being in His will for that is the place of blessing.
Let us consider some people in the Bible who were blessed because they were where God wanted them to be.
Joseph was forced to go to Egypt as a slave, but he trusted God and God blessed him.
Genesis 39 verses 3 and 4, and his master saw that the Lord was with him, and that the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand.
And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him, and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had put into his hand.
Elijah, he was sent to a lonely brook in a drought, and there God provided for him.
First King, 1756, so he went and did according unto the Word of the Lord.
For he went and dwelt by the brook charath, that is before Jordan.
And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening, and he drank of the brook.
Elijah was then sent to Zeraphath, and there God also provided for him.
First King, 179, arrives, get thee to Zeraphath, which belonged to Zaidan and dwell there, for I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.
Elijah and his servant were protected even when surrounded by this Syrian army.
Second Kings, 6 verses 15 to 17, and when the servant of the man of God was risen early and gone forth behold, and host,
encompassed the city both with horses and chariots, and his servants said unto him, Alas, my master, how shall we do?"
And he answered fear not, for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.
And Elijah prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes that he may see.
And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots, round about Elijah.
The Apostle Paul accepted his lot from God to be in prison, and there he was used by God to write Scripture and to witness.
Philippians chapter 1 verses 12 and 13,
But I would, you should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather under the furtherance of the gospel,
so that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace and in all other places.
So it is that God's people who obeyed with a good attitude were blessed, and used of God to his purposes.
Let us seek God first, even when it is difficult, for therein is the place of blessing.
Thank you for listening to Pastor Holler's devotional, The Place of Blessing.
Today we will remind that the place of blessing is found when we choose to trust and obey God.
Are you willing to take a step of faith, even if you can't see the path ahead?
Remember God's blessings come when we walk closely with Him.
We hope you'll join us again tomorrow for another encouraging devotional from Pastor Holler, right here on His light, Your Path.
