Welcome to The Romani Talks podcast, I'm your host, Armani Talks. In this podcast, I'm helping you level up your 5 soft skills. Public speaking, a storytelling, a social dynamics, emotional intelligence, inclusivity, 5 soft skills for you to change your life forever, scare up your confidence along the way. In today's episode, I am going to be talking about the power of doing errands. No matter how busy my life is, I always make the time to do some errands. It could be something as simple as picking up hand sanitizer from Walgreens, or it could be something intense like printing out an important document. Regardless, it doesn't matter what the errand is. As long as I am making some time during the day in order to be productive, I mentally feel good. And this is not something that you typically hear. You typically hear errands and you automatically think something that is mundane. It's a chore. But for me, that is not the case. For other people, it's with cleaning.
I recall one time I was talking about how I have automated a lot of my cleaning activities. And there was this one girl who said, well, I like cleaning. I thought she was being silly. I thought she was being a contrarian until I heard her logic. She said that she likes cleaning because it makes her feel productive. She understands the formulas. And it's a chance for her to listen to some podcasts, listen to some music. It's low key and chill for her. The same rationale that she gave for cleaning is the same rationale that I give for doing errands. It's a period where I can turn my brain off and simply be productive. Sure, certain errands do require some cognitive effort. But overall, I view it as something that I am doing in the day to be productive. Every day, I do some type of productive work. And some of these days, it's not me working on my body, aka going to the gym.
It's simply me doing some errands. Thank you very much for joining me and we'll catch you next time.
