Todd Monken: Harold Fannin Jr. Next Brock Bowers

On April 4, Cleveland Brown's head coach Todd Munkin is hyping a rookie tight-end

Harold Fanon Jr. by comparing him to superstar Brock Bowers.

Munkin sees a lot of the same traits, like that explosive run after catchability and

strongball skills in a versatile body type.

Fanon, a third-round pick in 2025, stepped right in after the Browns moved on from David

and Joku following nine solid years.

Earlier this week at the league meetings, Munkin had a funny rookie moment missing the

coach's photo, but do not sleep on his experience.

He has coached elite talent at college and pro levels, including molding Bowers during

two years as offensive coordinator at Georgia.

Fans and analysts are buzzing because Bowers exploded in the NFL, grabbing first team all

pro honors in his debut year, despite rough quarterback play.

In Las Vegas, and he kept shining through injuries.

Fanon already flashed big as a rookie with 72 catches for 731 yards, six touchdowns

through the air, and even one.

Now with Munkin calling plays, things look brighter for Cleveland's offense than what Bowers

dealt with.

Munkin elevated tight ends like Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likley in Baltimore, and Fanon

could be the top target no matter who is under center.
