Lynette Zang revisits the digital ruble to explain how a monetary system can change even when participation appears voluntary. As tokenization connects directly into DTCC infrastructure, the bigger question becomes what happens to ownership, custody, access, and control when the financial rails underneath your assets change.📅 Schedule your free consultation: https://go.zangintl.com/scheduleconsultation📞 Call us: 833-GLD-ZANG (833-453-9264)🔗 All of our links in one place: https://go.zangintl.com/m/soundmoneyInterested in a Dime Card? https://zangintl.com/zang-enterprises-dime-card

So I keep asking, and nobody can answer. What happens when we get to zero? So think about that. You don't necessarily have to choose the new rail. The rail can change underneath you because the reality is simple. If you don't hold it, you don't own it. There was a fabulous question on the Russian rubble video, and I did move through that place too quickly. What I meant is this, Russia does not have to force every person to use the digital rubble for the monetary system built itself to change. Think of this ship of theses. You can replace a ship one plank at a time while everybody keeps calling it the same ship. And that's what I meant.
You can still call it a rubble, but if you replace the payment infrastructure underneath it, part of the monetary system, that's already been changed. And because you don't overtly see the change, you just automatically adopt the new system. This is how governments control bankers, corporations create that's almost seamless kind of transition into a new system. And voila, you don't even know you're there, we are. So we're seeing the same thing with tokenization. You may still see a stock or a treasury or an ETF or whatever on your screen, while the custody, settlement, and control structure underneath it changes. That's the point. Russia says using the digital rubble is an individual choice. Really, really?
But major banks and retailers are being required to build the infrastructure underneath it. The rails. So if banking, shopping, and normal everyday economic activity become connected to that rail, the Frank Lamb got a really simple question. How voluntary is it really? And we've seen this kind of transition many times before. Federal Reserve notes circulated alongside gold. Silver coins, here's my dime card, silver coins circulated along with the base metal coins. Foreign governments kept their dollars after 1971. They just couldn't turn those dollars into our gold anymore. Plank, plank, plank.
Nope. It's not the same shit. And Federal Reserve notes are not sound money. They do not carry the value of your labor through time, which is this saying almost important function of money. Now officially, there's not even three cents left in terms of purchasing power out of the original dollar. So I keep asking, and nobody can answer, what happens when we get to zero? So can you see why it was time for the system to change? Can you see it breaking down and that the people running these systems have experience making these transitions? And that's why I keep talking about urgency versus emergency. Urgency means you still have choices. Emergency means somebody else may be making those choices for you. That okay with you? Because once the rail exists, the bigger question becomes,
what can the rail be made to do later? Because look at what just happened with tokenization. A company called ONDO just became the first tokenization platform connected to DTCC's fund system. Whose DTCC? They are the legal registered owner of every bond, every mutual fund, almost every stock, every derivative, every everything owned by these same big banks. So okay, but this is what I really want you to understand. That system already process more than 85% of US mutual fund transaction activity. So this totally seems like a plank change to me. Because tokenization doesn't have to build a completely separate financial system
and convince millions of Americans to leave the one they're already using. It can connect directly into it. So think about that. You don't necessarily have to choose the new rail. The rail can change underneath you. And DTCC's broader tokenization service is expected to launch in this month, October. So now this isn't sitting on the edge of the financial system anymore. It's being connected into the infrastructure underneath the assets that most ordinary people already own. Boom. Boom. Another plank. And this is where I have a problem. Because with the way that this story is being sold, faster settlement, faster efficiency, greater, oh better liquidity assets moving more easily.
Fine. Fine. But let's ask a different question. What happens to ownership, custody, access, and control when the rail underneath your assets change? What happens to ownership, custody, access, and control? Because those are not technology questions. Those are ownership questions. So let me ask you. Do you know what's changing underneath your assets? I'm sorry, but of course you don't. And that's exactly why I believe proper diversification matters. Because you're never going to know everything. And physical gold and physical silver in your possession. No new rail, no new custody chain, no changing settlement systems, no permission.
Because the reality is simple. If you don't hold it, you don't own it. So make sure that you watch my money maps on tokenization if you haven't done that yet. And the link is below. And please just ask yourself how much can they change underneath what I already own before I realize I'm standing on a completely different ship. So thank you so much for being part of this conversation. And wherever you are in the world, please be safe out there. And remember sovereignty begins with what you choose to own.
