Brussels clean up nicely at sweet green. Maple glazed, roasted, and edges perfectly caramelized. Sweet greens fall harvest is back on the menu, and the season's most overlooked little green vegetable is dressed to be devoured. You know what to do. Order on the Sweet Green app. Top and tile with Josh Jenkins. Oh boy. We're directing him for this thing now. Was that the great Nims Azur? I've been busy. Was that the great Nims? Was that voicing that? Are we gonna was? He's been able to fit a bit of time in to do some work in between his fitness regime. I want the top, but there's no tail in the stinger. So we need to work on that. I like it. I like it. I like it. Standing pretty good. So you opened up curiously with the blues yesterday. Yeah, well, I wanted to just, you know, a little bit of a gas-lotting club.
I can tell you that we could just light up the fans with it. Didn't probably get the Carlton fans is up and about one way or the other as I thought. Don't talk yourself down. Jules come to your support off the text. I promise that I would read some text out. Jules, can we please always have J.J. on the air? Intelligent, unbiased, views across many sports, just a breath of fresh air. Are you feeling all right, Jules? I think you need some fresh air, Jules. There is, I can't risk working five days a week. It's not good for the health. Who's, hang on, who's the best basketball that ever come out of Swan Hill yourself or Wayne Larkins? I'm not familiar with Wayne's work. Tessa Lavy is the best basketball player come from Swan Hill. She also played AFLW, but from memory, she went to an Olympic Games. So that would take a little bit of thought. Can we get to Topantile or do you just want to read out silly text messages? Not silly. These are our listenership and we value them highly. David Textin as well, B. Honest Sam, experiencing the charm of a country race meeting is about 656th on your bucket list.
That's not the case. Well, bucket list is a bit strong. I have my bucks at the country races. I'm being hassled to get on to Topantile and you're reading out nonsense. Topantile for the Adelaide Football Club. Do you want to start with the top or the tile? Up to you, your segment. The tile. Now the top, the top. Let's go with the better stuff. Desert first. Equal third. Now you might scoff at this a little bit, but I think the value selections and finding some every week performers from nowhere is incredibly important. Lockland McCandrew and Mark Keane, Equal third, both pre-season supplementary picks. Locky McCandrew registered 25 coaches votes this year and Mark Keane was an all Australian 40 selection last year. They got these guys effectively off the scrap heap. Did they get lucky with Locky? I mean, I was saying they did a certain degree or remind me the timing. Did they get him knowing the Ruck changes were coming into effect? I think they got lucky.
I think most clubs, the timing of that rule was very, very poor from the AFL. They got lucky, but I don't think it would have mattered that much. I think he still would have been a pretty good Ruckman eater. He had a good Ruckman either version of the rules. If you could still step across, you would have kept Rylea a brine out of the team. I think he'd get a 2D better. I know he's got the right to reach, but when you've got that size, that speaks for itself. So getting those absolute diamonds and the rough is so important. And then 2 and 1 at 2 eyes at Rankin. Yes, he cost pick 5 and some pick swaps at the end. He has been, he is about to and showed us at the back end of this season that he is about to be one of the better players in the competition. He should be a top 10 player in the competition for the next two or three years based on what we've seen. Clubs are going to start to go to him, but surely what he's been able to do and what he can prove to be for Adelaide has him at number two.
And I think number one, I wrestle with Rankin or this player at number one, but Jordan Dawson is the best pick up for them in the last five to 10 years. He cost around one pick, but he's what they got in return was maybe more than they bargained for an inspirational captain of three time, more Australian, three time. Best in Ferris winner and he might be a four time best in Ferris winner once they get their B and F done. So Jordan Dawson, I mean, we all knew he was a talented player. We all knew he was capable and we all knew he was going to go to Adelaide and have a long career. But I would challenge anyone who thought he was going to go back to Adelaide and be this player. It was a future first round pick too, by the way, tied to I think Melbourne in the end. So this was late 2021. They gave up a 2022 first to get him in that's good business. They've been not lucky, but they've been fortunate to have both Rankin and Dawson as essay based players really keen to get back there. Now clearly there's another team in town. So you've got to be able to outbid and outwork the opposition team in town.
But to get those guys, I mean, imagine if those two guys didn't come through the door that we are history not exactly littered with guys who want to go back to South Australia. No, I had that converse. I was on with Pixelmoshi on on essay breakfast. They do it tough. They do it tough. So the tale at three goes hand in hand a little bit here three and one Fisher Maccassie at pick six unfortunately. It just never ever seemed a chance to work whether he didn't want to be there. They didn't raid him from the start. Whatever the case may be, he retired and finished his career early and didn't look like it was going to work. And then you overlay that thus far with Sid Draper at pick four. So he's played the 10 games unsided this year. Bit early to be on this list, isn't it? Well, unfortunately at the moment he's on this list because he's a pick four and there are a lot of top 10 picks who come in and impact straightaway and have any impact. He didn't play a game this year, Sam.
He's had his injuries. He's had his injury issues. There's queries from their perspective on his resilience in terms of his body and his ability to push through some of that stuff. So at the moment, Maccassie of course speaks for himself, but Sid Draper unfortunately is trending in that direction as well. I think missing on Zach Bailey will, but now I don't know how close this got you might know. There were different stages where we were told Bailey was leaning toward Adelaide. There were different stages where we were told he was going to stay in Brisbane and that's ultimately what he did. But missing on Zach Bailey, I think will prove to be not premiership winning deciding, but maybe the difference between them having enough potency to get to a grand final. I think I would imagine I sit close to the front of the Zach Bailey bandwagon camp. I think he's an unbelievable player. He would have been enormous for them, but at one, and this is hard to go past, and I know Kane spoke about this with you on trade breakfast.
But since 2016, pick six 9 11 15 16 and 24 are no longer on Adelaide's list. So, Maccassie at six, this is across different years clearly, but since 2016, so these players would all be 10 year players or inside. Maccassie at six, Chase Jones at nine, Luke Pedler is looking to move at 11, Jordan Gulluchi at 15, Ned McKenry at 16 and Harry Schoenberg at 24. Some of those players are at different clubs, some of those players are no longer in the system. In the same timeline, a club like Free Mansell has landed Hayden Young at seven, Sarong at eight, Chapman at 14, Amos at eight, Erasmus at 10 and Murphy read at 17. Jokin Chase. Jokin Chase. Jokin Chase. That's over the last, what, decade? Yep, that's since 2016. Show us your hand, Maccassie. Six 9 11 15 16 and 24 they've had. And none of those guys will be on their list at the end of the trade period. All right, there you go. JJ's top and tail the Adelaide Crosis and good ones in there, and there's some not so good ones.
And that's the fun of the fair when it comes to this time of the year. I like it, JJ. And that complete with the stinger, it is complete. All right, we're going to break in on morning, Sam Edmund Josh Jenkins with you. JJ might not like it, but I'm coming back to a few of your texts in just a moment.
