News talk breakfast with Anton Savage in association with air. A spoiler alert we're talking about the Tracers finale that was on last night and that we did see winners being crowned. Did it live up to your expectations for Nula? Yeah, if anyone just wants to stick their fingers in their ears very briefly, I think so and I think it was because people actually soned up the other way. We'd seen like really competitive play from the Tracers this year in particular Kairla who's been in it from the very beginning but she was getting heat on her porcelain. I'm not worried. It was quite literally getting away with murder for the entire run of the show until last night. I feel so sorry for her that she fell at the final hurdle. I know I know but look I mean great player, great game porcelain. Obviously recruited late stage. I mean seem to divide people in the castle and outside the castle. I thought he had it so

not. I thought the traders were going to get it one way or another but no faithfuls came out on top and I have to say watching it in a room with people because I think some people might find the ending of that a bit anti-chimatic. I loved it. I thought it was so satisfying to see people bring strategy into it towards the very end. Oh, it was pure cinema. We've had two episodes, two series now of the Tracers finale where the quiet ones won and you know, is that good or bad for the show? People talk about this. Yeah, the game does reward passiveness in some ways and you do question then how that makes for good television going forward and should that be the case? Again, like as has been talked about so much, you have people who were very loud, very chatty, very contributing towards missions and round tables and stuff like that. Kind of didn't end up making it to the end. I think it's something they're going to have to look at in terms of structure and maybe how missions are changed and stuff like that going forward.

But at the same time, Diego, I think it's absolutely a worthy winner when you consider how he went about it right up to that last vote. It was very strategic and strategies the name of the game as well. Let's have a listen to the moment where Anna found out that placing her trust in Diego was the right choice and also when she found out the personal connection Diego actually had inside the game. Diego, it's time to tell, are you a faithful or a treasure? Please tell Anna. I had a certain amazing time. If I win the money, I would love to go in the honeymoon with my husband and that's going to happen. Also, I'll send you loads of pictures because I am a faithful. I mean, look, there is the whole drama and the pump of it and to be fair actually, he did it. Well, we couldn't fault this production in any way because it lived up to our expectations and what the traitor should look like. 100% and anything people keep coming back to how

Irish the franchise feels the immersion of Galgare and our native Changa unbelievable. I just think it was maybe a little bit slow to get started and I think, look, hard to follow up that incredible first season, but I think ultimately the way the game moved and the way the cast kind of revealed themselves to be, it was very satisfying for me as a reality TV junkie. Now, the one thing I'll say right is God forbid and you and I can have this conversation. If we ever run this, right? If we ever run the traitors, the two of us are going to sit in the corner for the first two weeks and say, nothing, absolutely nothing. We want to add them, Anathen, we won't even discuss the weather purely because the ones who say the most at the start are the ones who end up getting faked out. Exactly. Even if you look at poor Laura, Laura was like onto the traitors from day to night and the traitors were able to use that then and weaponize it against her to make the fateful school or she's too much, she's too much. It's so interesting how strategy comes

into play and how people use different strategies. Again, even someone like E&E was very confident, and very able going into their own tables and then you just have one room table where her mentality comes in and it all flips against you. That was very interesting this season as well. It was, oh, it was nuts. I thought you were going to piece, the Carcolae piece, who was like a kind of an Irish version of Jack Reacher throwing in there. I genuinely thought he was going to stay the course but he got taken out. Was it the second last show? I know. Honestly, there were such good characters this season and Pete was another one where he was kind of Anathen's star, kind of last to tend throughout, but just had such a presence at the tables. Again, sometimes didn't matter. Towards the end, people were so suspicious at the end that it was just like, it doesn't matter if you're a good fateful, it doesn't matter if you're a good emissions, we just have to get rid of everyone and you're next. It's a perfect television. I love it. We were talking about celebrity traders. Claire Burn for her interrogations came up on the list here at your afternoon. I throw you in there as well. I wouldn't. I'm sorry. People keep saying this. I talk a big game.

I'll talk about the show for as long as I live. If I was doing that show, I'd be balling crying at every room table. That's a bit of a draft as well. We live with that. I want to put Ivideates in there purely because that would be highly entertaining. Who would you have as your top Irish celebrity to put on an Irish celebrity version? Oh, off the top of my. Claire Burn is a great show. Look, I love to say my good friend, Sean Monkrieg, because I think he would bring a lot of comedy to proceedings. And I think he couldn't not make it to the end by sitting in and just observing. I'd tell you yet there'd be no better game player than Sean Monkrieg. He'd just sit there, take it all in. And at the last minute, like Inspector Clousseau, he would reveal it all as to what he thought. For New Alert, we'll keep the ideas and the thoughts coming on. Who might perform in that? It definitely. I want to see you crying in one corner. And Sean Monkrieg and Claire Burn in the other. That would be great. Tell me, for Luna Jones, thank you so much for taking the time to talk to us. You can take your fingers out here. Yes. Now if you're waiting for the spoilers there.
