was um... man what is he up to now that's forty five forty four home runs for Kyle Schwarber i don't even think he's looked physically right for a couple months but man he one arm swing hits him out so great home run by Schwarber great grants lamp you but the two big things to me stood out from last night and the last few nights here he went to start with the good of the bad what you want to start with this started to bad okay sanchez got hit hard last night there are certain games and we all see them throughout a season where a picture can give up four five or six runs but not really be hard you know i mean like soft contact singles maybe a bad defensive play and it kind of opens the floodgates and you walk away from the game like give four or five runs but i didn't think he pitched up at and then there's night like last night i thought sanchez was good and he was getting tattooed by the extra it feels like that because i was watching i was at a spot where i was watching on both both screens was watching football on the smaller screen had baseball on the big screen yeah he got rough he got touched up a little bit yeah now look he had been better lately so it's not like panic mode or big concern because he he settled back down i just

at this time you know getting this two weeks left in the season you you want to see you want you want to see like you want to see the office doing with the dsd especially coming off of the game that they had a couple days ago so you just want to see everybody kind of trending in the right direction i guess as we head towards the postseason i'm not sure what we're gonna what level we're getting out of sanchez in the postseason you can convince me he can have two or three great starts because he's an excellent picture and he's also had i have to go look he's probably had three or four or five stars this year he's given up ten or more hits like he has games once in a while where he gets up a lot of it's in a lot of hard contact so let's cross our fingers at last night was just a bad night and he has a good start next week and we keep rolling now here let's get to the good and you know you're the one that called it two nights ago we were here no you thought yeah no well i know you going so we coming to coming at all right all right all time we know we know and time we've seen trade turner for a long time now he's a very streaky hitter when he his good weeks his good months are very good right there all star level they're like wow kind of

months he hasn't really had one the entire season you maybe and i and i'm we obviously need to see fingers crossed fingers crossed because he hasn't he had one big week in the west coast in may but he really hasn't had a big two or three or four weeks stretched the entire season he'll maybe i made the home run two nights ago last night he had two hard hits to right feel one the single for the run and hit a home run to right feel and i always think when trades using the whole field that's the best version of trade turner here what do you think are we getting a hot trade turner here down the street i hope so i mean because if if that's the case it's at the perfect time you know you talk about being hot for a month we got two weeks left in the season carried that over into the postseason and and and hopefully can keep it going until you get to the world sees that would be great that would be phenomenal yeah look i we're at the point now where there's nothing he can do to save his season stats you know his season numbers we're not going to look good right no matter it's in the matter what he does the rest of the season compared to his normal it's it's not going to look good so that's that's out now it's just about can you get hot down the stretch and carry that into October and last couple games are good signs that's not the home run to right feel last night was a really good

time for trade turner let's go to the phone lines in a second here first this segment brought to you by Xfinity proud sponsor of wip's Xfinity mobile lounge watch all your favorite teams all in one place Xfinity imagine that clandell is up on wip good morning clandell morning morning morning guys listen i did not want to see a j brown get hurt the only thing that could be better last night is if drake made through that last interception and he tried to force it to a j brown i wish a j brown was on other side of that that would have been because perfect clandell that that would have been like you can't draw it up any better that would have been storybook for all equals fans and all jalen hurts defenders he got everything he wanted yeah the guy that can you know throw perfectly thrown balls to get perfect pass and appearances under thrones yeah the guy who could throw the ball over the middle for interception yet a guy who can force it into tight windows to the opposite team

he has a perfect guy this is the reason why a lot of jalen people are going after drake made it really doesn't have anything to do with drake me but we're just comparing apples to apples drake made last year was this was the second year in the league he finished second MVP jalen did that so what makes this guy so much further ahead of jalen in terms of development only because he's had the same coordinated two years back to back and that makes him kind of sort of seem like he's good this guy drake made hasn't played a good game in five games well he hasn't i mean you're right about that i mean clandard think there's you know he was drafted really high there's a sense he's going to be good but your point is fair right you know would you look at drake now compared to jalen after twenty two it's very similar i mean the difference actually would be jalen played better in the soup way better in the certain ball like you know demonstrable better in the certain ball may stunk so you're right so we'll you know we'll see where his career goes but i

agree with you in that their a j wanted to play with him and didn't want to play with jalen and last night felt like you know that's karma that's karma for him what drag maize of their in headlights when he comes to big games now people now a j is going to see the difference between a stone cold killer and a guy who just average when his life gets bright because this guy i understand that a j a j went out of the game that's that's that's the thing but you let a back up through a lot coming to the game and outplay you and use the second and MVP and you supposed to be and you was on top five lists all throughout the all throughout the all season and you guys and players don't know ball what do executives know because drake may i see him top four top three on some of these lists based on the game maybe nobody knows ball maybe that's the lesson we're learning clandell good phone call not enough people know ball i mean you Douglas supposed to know ball as you know ball does not yes but i will say this it's it's a little and i hear you clandell

then i and and we are in we are in the throws of it we're reveling in the fact that you think it's a little heavy handed on me well i i do i mean it's first game of the season first game of the season but hey listen all bets are off in the first game of the season we've been waiting for six months yep to get to this point well that's it you know it that's a stand-alone game we haven't watched the end of those in February like i mean i get it yep i'm not i'm not i'm not trying to bet i just if you feel how you feel this morning you feel how you feel as an eagles fan and i'm pretty sure everybody hasn't called him but everybody was excited that that game unfortunately played out the way it did not not so much excited about a j again hurt but the three for twenty eight yeah not being a a huge factor in that off well then this is the ebbs and flows of quarterback play right i mean let's that draft class here was an interesting one right that twenty twenty four draft class yeah Caleb Williams first year was that good nope and then what happened last year he popped right now people you know i think he's gonna be really good again jade and daniel's here was the opposite jade and daniel's rookie year was one of the most impressive rookie years of any quarterback we've ever seen and then last year he got hurt and he stunk Drake may rookie year

bad team and whatever then last year he pops they go to the surb both not creating the playoffs and he struggles this first game this year so we'll see i mean here you don't talent is talent you could kind of see that when you just put the game on but you really don't know how these quarterbacks are going to evolve it takes time right they have to go through the league they have to adjust that injuries happen it takes a few years to really know like all right is this guy going to be great for a while or is he just good for a moment there's been a lot of quarterbacks that have been good for a year or two and then they just fall off yeah and and and i think that drake made you know going into a game where the team that you just played the last year had your number they ain't too much changed you know what i mean and it was really the change yeah jade was a change and for whatever reason you're you went into that game and your emphasis early on was to try to establish the run right and when you did try to pass it wasn't there you know quarterbacks that's why i thought it was kind of odd because thinking back to last year started a season not our game but every

other game you saw the game start with they tried to get the quarterback more so in a passing rhythm it felt like it needs to did with the game last night it felt like they they were more establishing the run even when when sam donnell got hurt they were more it was more of a ground game because i think if i'm between the two teams i think Seattle had 97 yards on the ground and and i think New England had a hundred or over a hundred something like that so it was more of a passing game and it was between the two quarterbacks it was like four hundred yards passing or whatever to combine so it was more it felt like it was more of a feel you out kind of run the ball kind of game but i thought that going into this and all the hoopla that was around a jade effect that you took forever to getting that you would probably you know involve him more in the passing game what that wasn't the case the other thing and we had a couple callers bring up the sloppiness here you're right you're right about the rushing numbers the other thing you know i had last night had 17 combined penalties that's sloppy sloppy i mean teams that aren't ready the pre-procedural

penalties i mean it's just as you know when you when you when we were talking about egos and i am unacceptable you beat me but that's what you're increasing the skis from the penalty i was i was increasing the skis joe i'm trying to prepare you for the frustration that you potentially going to feel sunny nope i'm not trying to hear all that i'm not next to rianne's responsibility to have a team ready we go home next feet to the fire damn it nick what if you've been doing over there for this whole month listen i you know i've i've come around on nick nicks nicks a good coach right but just for the egos perspective he doesn't call plays on either side so like to me i judge him on the details right so but being buttoned up being that less penalties like that's what he's got to be in charge of can i can i just say that i have to ready to go because because i was looking right and it like coach manion here grew a lot so i know what's going on there i think he had to proceed that feels like a defiant act towards you no no i a listen and he had a cap on right

but you could see the hair at the bottom yeah but i think he he went to turkey and on his off day and got to his off day yeah turkey's a long i don't think that's a day trip you that's not like going to the shore yeah that's a story i'm still good to all right i didn't win the turkey when he put that hat off if he have if he have a hair full of hair i'm calling him out on that okay well he did have a whole off season of possible get that done you're you're aware of that right so we know we're at draft draft night and we saw him go bald right that's good that's good you're right but if you hey but listen i'm just saying this if if if if he has a hair full of hair i'm going to turkey give me some hair is that a threat this is that's a straight up threat watch out everyone he was going to turkey two one five five nine two ninety four out of heart coming up your phone calls on all this a j the fills win last night and jay on hurt spoke yesterday press conference for the game i thought two interesting things jay on hurt said one about shamania we'll get to that coming up it is the midday show right here on
