About this episode

Giants are calling up lefty Matt Wilkinson, aka “Tugboat,” for his MLB debut against his old team, the Guardians. After a solid Triple-A season with a 5.15 ERA, he’s set to join a playoff-hunting Giants squad hoping he brings fearless energy. Though he’ll likely wait until Wednesday or Thursday to take the mound, his roster spot is still pending — and this move may have been influenced by avoiding Rule Five Draft eligibility. Fans, get ready — Tugboat’s coming.
