川村勝巳（かわむら かつみ。１９０５−１９９９年）は、東京商大卒業後、三井物産に入社。その後退社し化成品の会社をつくる。大日本インキ（現ＤＩＣ）社長。
不況はチャンスであると川村は言う。好況時は実力以上に業績があがり、組織は膨張し、社員は興奮し勝手な行動をとるようになる。不況は広がり弛んだ組織を引き締めるよい機会になる。減量し付加価値を高め、来たるべき時期に備えることができるのである。個人においても同様で、不遇の時は実力を蓄える時期と考えるべきなのだ。
