「『夢千代日記』の山根刑事は忘れることができません。素晴らしかったです」と共演した吉永小百合が語ったように「感情を込める」ことができる名優だった。この人の渋い演技は私も好きだった。７０歳で亡くなったが、もっと俳優の道を進んでいたら、さらに記憶に残る名演技を楽しめたのだろう。人には寿命がある。
