蜷川 幸雄（にながわ ゆきお、１９３５年１０月１５日 – ２０１６年５月１２日）は、日本の演出家、映画監督、俳優。
小さなつぶやきで成り立つ演劇は現在の社会の姿と同じだからインパクトはない。演劇の場所は大きな物語を語ろうとするところにあるのだ。こういう蜷川幸雄の時代に対する強烈なメッセージは、私には小さな物語ではなく大いなる物語を描こう、矮小な計画ではなく遠大な構想を持て、そして閉塞的な状況を突破せよ、と聞こえる。
