About this episode

The St. Louis Cardinals are grappling with a crucial decision for their left field position on Opening Day, as Lars Nootbaar recovers from offseason surgery. The team is considering younger options like Thomas Saggese, Nelson Velázquez, José Fermín, and Nathan Church. Velázquez has been impressive in spring training, leading the race for the position with his right-handed power and strong performance. The team is eager to fill the void left by the trades of Willson Contreras and Nolan Arenado.
