If you're looking to buy or sell your home, please check out the website. And if you're looking to, uh, for employment, they are hiring.

So that's Mark Spain Real Estate. All right. We'll start here locally. Orlando City. Get back on the road again. We're playing at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro versus New England. I haven't seen the report yet. If you guys have heard anything, please let me know. Real Mobile 770311 are amazing. Frenchman Russ. Griesman. He got injured in the last match. Oh, no. Yeah. And he was, you know, we, they called up a bunch of young guys and everything. And we've been having gaining some momentum here. Uh, so, uh, this would again be a great win for us. I'd be able to get back on the winning side of things. But I need to find out what's going on with, uh, with our guy. Um, that's a big gale. It's huge deal. Got Formula One happening. Uh, we're at the Baku City Circuit this weekend. And, um, that's one of the races that it's at seven o'clock in the morning. So keep eye on that. We, uh, we got NASCAR, no apps. The Ford City 300 today at Bristol Motor Speedway.

That's always, uh, fun race to do. And then college football college football. Yeah. So UCF plays Georgia State tomorrow. And that's another, uh, uh, heading out of chance to follow up on. But, uh, our quarterback, uh, he had a little bit of a scary injury there, um, versus pit. So I don't know if he's back for tomorrow. It's going to be at a FBC Morgan Stadium. Um, so again, that would be a strong win for us. Now with some of the teams that are playing today, Russ. And we talked about this yesterday. Uh, number five, uh, University of Miami is going up against Wake Forest. Uh, he is. That's that easily, right? That's yeah. Houston, uh, number 22 Houston is going up against number 13 Texas Tech. Um, we also, the late game tonight, uh, Oregon, which is right 21st in the nation right now. At one point, they were second to third. We'll see if, uh, if there's anything redeeming about that, they're going to be playing Portland State.

And then a couple of matchups starting tomorrow, Penn State versus Buffalo is the early game Arkansas versus, uh, number two Georgia. Uh, that's going to be early game. Uh, Florida State versus number 10 Alabama tomorrow at 330. Uh, any chance that, uh, Florida State can redeem themselves. This would be it for them. But they beat Alabama. That'd be huge, right? That would probably make their year. They're, that would make their last two years. Uh, the big game, the big, big, big game happening tomorrow night. Russ is going to be, uh, number seven LSU versus, uh, number eight Ole Miss. That's Lane Kiffin going back to Ole Miss. There's a lot of drama and a lot of, uh, uh, verbal barbs going back and forth. I don't know if you've seen any of it, uh, throughout the week. But this is going to be the big game for the weekend. So, uh, definitely, who is it? Good LSU. Yeah. And then Ole Miss and it's, uh, Lane Kiffin is the, the center of all this. That's all because the, the, the coach wanted to be able to lift the guys.

Go to the NFL and then come back and play for a college. And then they finally said, okay, fine. We won't do that. That's, that's definitely a huge part of it. Russ, the other part of it is that Lane Kiffin, every place that he's left, he's left, uh, it's always been dramatic and, uh, a lot of ton of drama. Right. So he was the coach at Ole Miss left there on funky terms, took some players with him, and now he's at LSU. So there's that rivalry or, uh, hatred, uh, there as well. So, you know, again, that, that's probably the high drama game for the, the weekend. Uh, Notre Dame's going up against Michigan State. So, you know, say your, uh, Hellmarries, Hellmarries. Uh, last night we had some NFL action and Josh Allen, uh, I mean, fantastic way to start the season. Put up 317 yards and five touchdowns. If you had him in fantasy football, uh, he, you just won your week. And he, he, he, he looked really, really good last night. Question, uh, a little bit of drama. So, it feels beat, uh, just, uh, finished that out of the bills, beat the Lions 4-31.

Yes sir. So, okay, before the game, uh, they're showing, this is the very first time they're in this brand new stadium, a $2 billion plus, uh, $1 stadium. This stadium is, uh, look great. Look at our TV. Yeah, I'll say it's different, you know, than, uh, they're, the bill fans are used to because they're not going to have to shovel snow out of this one because they've got, uh, the heaters underneath the, the field. So if it does snow, uh, you know, up and Buffalo, you don't have to worry about shoveling it, uh, most of the stadium is covered. So you're not going to have to have the fans come and clean up the stadium like they used to. That's all that's been solved with this $2 billion stadium, something that they did and, uh, see if you can guess why or what do you think it is. So I'm watching it last night and they get ready to do the national anthem, but they sing the Canadian national anthem. Now what? Now why do you, why no, yeah, we start with the Canadian national anthem. Well, why do you think they started with the Canadian national anthem Ryan? From Buffalo because it's right on the border. Right. So you got a lot of fans there.

That's it. Yeah, it was exactly it. Yeah, they started with the Canadian national anthem and it was because listen, they have thousands of people that support the Buffalo bills from Canada. They come over the border and they, uh, and it got a really big, it got a really big pop. And just so you, I mean, just to be, uh, transparent, like they did that last night, but they do that all the time. Yeah, it wasn't just specifically for last night. The Buffalo bills have always been very conscious of their Canadian fan base. They always sing the Canadian national anthem. Yeah, they're like on the across the street across the Niagara Falls. It's literally like it's like one of those huge Canadian. Why was there such a big story there? Because they mentioned it last night. Because of what Canada is becoming a member of the EU. Oh, okay. I'm listening to the news right now. It's like, uh, why are the bills playing the Canadian national anthem? They're like 50 stories about it. Like it's the first time it's happened to be political. Uh, we ruined our relationship with Canada. I know. The EU said, hey, you want to become an ass, uh, forget what it is. The EU assistant, I forget what the actual term they're using is Canada is going to join the block of countries that the EU is thus making them a bigger trade partner for them.

Uh, so good job, guys. We're crushing. So that's why it's a big deal, Russ. It's, it's, it's the political aspect of it. So the EU is going to be a huge erupt as the bills play the Canadian national anthem before Josh Allen comes up, which is. I mean, these guys were our friends like last year. I didn't see any outrage. That's a BS story. You heard the fans cheer. They cheer. It was like, hey, we're sorry, Canada. Like, you know, sing your national anthem. God bless you. You know what I mean? Like basically they've been supporting the bills for many, many like thousands of people come over and go to the bills game. Yeah. The brand new stadium. Everything I saw it seemed like they haven't done that before, but if you say they have, they have. But, um, uh, yeah, they're gonna map, Russ. There's Buffalo. It's right there on the border of Canada. Right. And where's the new stadium? Uh, I don't know. It must be DelSork museum listed like it's important. Yeah, I must be closer, closer to the border or whatever, but stadium looks beautiful. The, you know, the bills fans look great. Uh, so anyway.

Yeah, the reason it's, uh, you know, there's certain outlets that are doing that is that because of the political implications. Yeah. So, which is unfortunate. But again, uh, so it's a new high mark stadium. Um, uh, when, in regards to Josh Allen, record extending 10 game, multi passing, rushing T.D.s and improved to nine and one. Uh, with that on their, um, season opener. So again, uh, congratulations to them. Fantastic way to start. And also, uh, great way to start our NFL weekend. Yeah. And, um, First of all, I just want to say let's go nights tomorrow night, yeah, in Georgia state. All right. So Sunday games, Russ, in regards to games that we would be, uh, as a show, paying attention to, we got the Packers and the Jets, the Packers, uh, need that really need to bounce back on that one. Um, Ravens and Saints will be interesting. Bengals and Texans. These are all the early games.

Russ Eagles and Titans, Vikings and Bears, uh, Tampa Bay, Buckingeers versus the Browns. This would be again, a great, uh, great way to, uh, in Tampa or is that at, uh, Cleveland, give me two seconds. Raymond James. So it's here. Okay. Yeah. So that's a, again, a great, uh, bounce back game for from last week. Definitely, I need to do that. We also have Panthers and, uh, Falcons at one o'clock, Raiders and chargers at one o'clock. This will be a really interesting game. And then, uh, Under the Jags play, Steelers and Patriots. Now the Jag boys, that's what, so Russ Rollins and Ryan Holmes. Jag boys, uh, you guys will be paying attention at 405. And this is going to be a, again, really good matchup to see where you guys are at and maybe catching a team on the back foot, because you guys go up against the Broncos. Yeah. I swear to camp guys. What do you mean? Um, I'm just, well, the, uh, fever is playing at four o'clock on Sunday against the mystics. I'm, uh, I'm done. I'm done.

We have to get done watching practical magic too. No, no, no, no, no. The Katelyn Clark is back in town, man. I got it. I got a, I got a support for team. I just don't know. Hey, man. Just be happy. Do whatever makes you a jack boy. Yeah. Whatever. Yeah, like you were all excited a couple of days. I was going to be a couple of four, but I can't like between the two. I went on. I want to, I want to just be happy. There's only four games left and then they go to the playoffs next week. All right. Okay. That's great. Okay. I guess we're not jag boys. That's cool. I'll be a jag boy with the off flip back and forth. How does that sound? All right. I mean, I feel like you're in on the Jags like I am. Classic matchup, a classic yearly matchup between those two teams. Ross and this is the 430 game. It's going to be the Commodore's versus the Cowboys. Oh, that's always a big game. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then this is going to be ribbing football happening here at 425. You got the 49ers versus the dolphins. Well, that be on anywhere. Like you have to have like the Sunday ticket to get that right? Where's this game at?

Oh, it'll be it'll be on. Yeah, it's in San Francisco. Yeah, it'll, I don't know if it'll be see they automatically signed me up because I had it last year. They automatically signed me up for the Sunday ticket. I wasn't going to get it this year because I'm like, buddy, you got to stay on top of that. Because they'll auto restart amazing now. I was like, oh, yeah, yeah. But I think I think I'm, is it terrible if I wanted to just cancel my bet with because they're not making the playoffs. Maybe dolphins are not making a play. I mean, they look terrible. I mean, they're corebacks sucks. They're making too, buddy. Yeah, just what makes you happy? Dude, cash out. No. Now what it'll be funny is if anyone wants to come over the top and make that bet and see if they do. We've got 425. We got C-Hawks and Cardinals Colts versus the Chiefs is the late game on Sunday. And then Monday night football with Giants and Rams and Russ. That is Monster Sports. All right, very good. All right. Welcome back to the monsters in the morning. Real Radio 101.1 Brock has been live and I heart radio. So, hey, so looking into it a little bit more angel. That was the debut. Yeah, I got confused with the Buffalo Sabers. So the Buffalo Sabers, the hockey team, they do that on the regular. Okay. So, my understanding that I just thought that the Buffalo teams did that on the regular. Yeah, the bills they did it for the first time. Yeah. They sing the Canadian national anthem. And it was the bear naked ladies that did that. Yeah, that's saying. Oh, no. What's the Canadian anthem? Is it one week? That's one year. That's one year ban. One week since I've been to Canada. Oh, Canada, where the best country. Five nations of America really pisses off. And now we're going to leave it. That's one of your bands. Is that a bear naked ladies? One of my bands?

Yeah, I know that one song one week that everybody knows. Oh, okay. That's the song that goes, they check it out. And now the time they check it out. And you have a drumstick and your brain stopped again. What's the next five on the light, son? What's all the major on? I hold a smuck them out of this one. Gotcha. She 100.3, Ross. She used to be a station here in town. And they used to play the hell out of the bear naked ladies. One of the hall. Yeah, it was right. Yeah, I remember we were in an I Heart station. Yeah, it was. Yeah, and our program, the program director of that. And it'd be an R program director. Yeah. And yeah, yeah. I know the whole thing. You got to get in tune with this. Damn, I wish I could do it. What? I wish that. The bear naked ladies, one week out again, tune with that cartoon. Because that cartoon's got the boom in it. Maybe it's the maybe think the wrong things. This is a great song. One week. This is one of your bands. It's not one of my bands. I just know that. It's the one that wondered it. Well, hold on now. They're not. I mean, they had other songs. They had line and bread. Bad just like Brian Wilson did. I might be a bear naked ladyhead. Yeah, that's what I was thinking. So he had a convention. Yeah. And more than anyone I know in my life is ever mentioned. They have a lot of songs. And they were good. Like a 12 year old me.

Well, good. Well, good. And ladies. Also, they were called the bear naked ladies. I might have been just doing a Google search and ended up on them. I'm Russ along with Angel Anne Ryan. And here is the winner of the monster singing competition. Steven Cardwell. How you doing, Steven? I'm doing well, man. Good morning to you all. Hey, man. Congratulations on, you know, we haven't really talked to you since you won the... No, we don't know anything about you, dude. Yeah, we don't have anything to do. Yeah, we don't have anything to do. Yeah, I know this. You came in, you rocked and then you just left. You killed it. And I got it to... I was told before you came in. I know that you were friends with monster mags. Oh, yeah. And she's like, this guy's going to kill it. I'm like, well, you know, we'll see. We'll see. Yeah, we'll see. And you did for sure. So tell it for those that didn't get to watch and didn't get to hear you and all that. Kind of stuff. How long have you been a musician? How long have you... Oh, man. That's a real low to question. A musician. I've been a musician since I was a kid. I was literally just telling this story the other day.

I got my first set of drums when I was like eight and it kind of just took off from there. So you started with drums? Yeah, that was my first instrument, man. That was the noisiest thing your parents could have done. Yeah, absolutely. It was in a completely different building. So they didn't get to hear all that. And I got to go take out little teenage angst out on the skins every now and again. Yeah, I'm having mom and dad and you know, so who is your drumming influence? Oh, man. I mean, influence. Yeah. Was there a drummer that you like, oh, I want to be like, man, like probably Neil Perth. That's what everybody says. Like everybody says that. Have you seen the woman that now has filled in for Neil Perth? Yes. And she's a beast. And you know, I was like, are they going to be able to go on tour without Neil Perth? But because she is so amazing, she's sort of a draw that they don't watch or do Neil Perth stuff. Absolutely. Yeah, she's she's incredible, man. And then obviously, Getty and Alex, you know, they're still incredible. So they're great, man. I was still watching them. I mean, I really am upset that I didn't get to go see them before Neil died. Right. Yeah.

So when you were a kid, did they like your, were your parents musicians? Like, how did you actually know my parents? My parents were, um, were pastors and preachers and stuff like that. Yeah. Um, I think my first exposure on stage was, um, was then they would go to church. Yeah. Yeah. And they would do some like traveling evangelism. So like, for my part of my first couple of years in life, I was actually on a, a school bus that they retrofitted and we just kind of traveled the amazing musicians. I mean, throughout the history of music, have started in the church, man. Yeah. Yeah. Understood. Um, it's a cool spot to get in there and cut your teeth. There's done a whole lot of like folks getting that you know, they can, they're kind of gracious about it. And then you get real musicians and they tell you, dude, you suck. Yeah. Okay. I got it. So Steven, how do you go from drums to playing guitar? Oh, man. So that kind of came by way of just like needing to because I was, I was leading on a lot of churches. Uh, I played piano too. That's normally where I was like leading from, but the bigger majority of, of leaders

that do like music set of church, they're, they're pretty much acoustic guitar players. And so I just started, I've always had that, I, that was actually the first instrument I've ever given to me, but it was like my keelie seal. I could not figure it out. I think I just had really short fingers and got really frustrated pretty early on. But eventually, what's able to put a few chords together? I'm still not the best guitar player, but I can, I can do it. You know, you can do it for sure. So would you say that you're stronger at playing a keyboard than you are? I think I'm just kind of even across the board because typically what's happened is like drums. I was like all in and then I'm not really playing that anymore. It's not really in my proximity. So I wouldn't even call myself a drummer anymore. I just could probably sit down and make it happen. So true or far. Okay. I've had someone said that, well, if you're a drummer, you're not a musician because that's not a musical instrument. That's percussion. Would you agree or disagree? Oh, highly disagree. I think the drummer, if the drummer, if a drummer's on stage, they automatically are the most important instrument on that stage. And the reason I say that is because if they play with big dynamics, but the rest of the band is not, yeah, the rest of the band sounds like the mistake, not the drummer.

Even though the drummer could be the one making the mistake, we all sound like the mistake. And so I think honestly, if a drummer's on stage, he controls or she controls the dynamic of all the music that's happened in that moment. So I think they're probably the most important person. Most important. Yeah. I agree with you. Yeah. I used to play drums, but not not not great at all. But so okay. So your your young person, you go from drums, you go to the playing guitar. When do you start writing your own stuff? Oh, man. I've kind of I've kind of written my entire life. I probably really got seriously into it probably like 10, 15 years ago. Okay. I had to had to my wife and I, we have a duo as well. And so early on, I was like, I need to record an album. So I wrote five songs pretty quickly on and recorded them. You know, I hate everything on that album now. But when you're writing, are you writing from like, are you writing? Are you writing using the guitar?

Are you writing the using the keyboard? You know, it depends. A lot of times it just kind of comes by way of melody. And so I'll sit down like I'll have like a melody in my head or a lyric in my head or something like that. And I'll build off of that. And so depending on what's sitting around me, that's usually how the core structure comes. And then a lot of times if I'm hearing it in a voicing of a piano, that's also like if I'm hearing it that way, I'll sit down to that or I'll sit down to a guitar just to you know, initially figure out what it's feeling like. But how much of your career is influenced by the bare naked ladies? Tons. Oh, thank you. And then let me just say this, they're not just the one hit wonder man. They're not. Thank you. They're not just the one hit wonder man. They had a lot of songs with them. They had a lot of songs with them. Well, we remember when I said, when I say these things, they said that I exist. You know what I'm saying? I understand what you're saying. But you know, when the way that this works with the billboard charts and all that kind of stuff. And when they say a one hit wonder, it's because they had one hit that hit number one. And they had a they've had a fantastic career. This is not me. You bismarching them.

Yes, I'm. I'm feeling it. You bismarching. So you bismarching. So you're one of the things, you know, when you won the contest, you're able to go and record with Monster Music Man matter. Or by the way, have you been yet or not? Not yet. We actually had that record where we got it on the books next week. When you do go, the guy is amazing. I've heard he really is amazing. He's a sweet guy. He's just a great, great person. He's a really incredible, like he's recorded with like Axel Rose with a bunch of other you. Oh, wow. Like he knows what he's doing. So are you going to record the song that you did for us when you won the competition? Or are you going to do something? Probably something different. So rock bottom that one I did. That would love that. Thank you. That one is actually written for me and my wife. Yeah. So at some point, I want to do that one together with her kind of a big band time situation. So no, I don't know if I'll record that particular one right off the bat. I have another one. I think I'm going to play that one this morning just to say, Hey, that's the one that we're going to have to work on and stuff.

Yeah. A little bit more slow country ballad of sorts, but it's, yeah, I think it's fairly good song. So here's one of the things that I, you know, as soon as you came in, you know, that day that we had the competition, you know, other, there were other singers there that were really good. I think they're really good. But you, you came in and I need to heard you and you got that look. Okay. So do you think, do you think about the, you know, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the look? Do you think about, Hey, listen, I want to look like a rock star or this is just how you, just how you dress, how you are. I mean, I think there's a certain level of, you know, this is a look that I have. Like I, I mean, yesterday, I was just wearing a t shirt and some shorts and I'm saying, like, I don't wear this every single day. This isn't just a garb. Yeah. But it is a garb quite a bit. And so this is definitely a look for me. It's a look I've had for a while. And I don't know, man, I'm not inherently trying to go, let me look like a rock star. I think it's just more like this is my expression of, of who I am. This who you are. And, you know, I'm a little bit different than the most I think. And that's okay. You know, it's not just okay. It is required. Right.

It is required to be different because so many people just copy somebody else. And that was the thing about you. I'm like, oh, yeah, he's not like anyone I've seen before and the chicken dance you did. When you, when you did the chicken dance, I mean, you rolled in there and you're like a guitar gun slinger. And I was like, okay, this guy's here. This guy isn't joking around. And that's not to say that anybody else was. When you're doing, when you're meeting people or you're meeting artists and everything, there is something to be said that that your eye linkers on them or you're like, you're curious. I was like, yeah, I just got to go. I'm really curious to see what this guy's got going on. It's awesome. So true of false, it's a monster mags was here. Okay. He said, man, you know what you don't know is like before he went, Steven was nervous. Were you really nervous? Oh, man, dude. How could you be nervous? Talent is, and I find this a fascinating because, and for those that didn't see the episode you didn't hear, I mean, he just so slated. It was so, but, but have the talent you have and you were nervous going into a competition.

Talk to me about that. Why do you think? I mean, we're going to get, we're going to get a little more, more, more than surface level here for me. That's what I want. I'm literally, I talked to my therapist by this all the time. Yeah, and I'm joking. But my point is, you know, man, I think, I think a lot of musicians can probably relate to this and that I think we're our own worst critics. That's the first thing. So I automatically just don't think that it's a really good voice and all that stuff. I've been, I mean, I really don't end. And have you done a lot of contests? No, that literally, that's my first one too. So I mean, literally the morning of, yeah, I'm sitting there, I'm brushing my teeth and I'm like, what the hell are you doing? Yeah, that's what she said. Why are you doing this? You're not, you don't go do this right now. You're going to embarrassed yourself. You're supposed to walk out. You're supposed to walk out. I was talking myself out of it. I was like, I think I just text Russ. I feel bad or I'll email him and just say, crazy man. And I'm like, and Monster Max said, you better not do that. No, you're one of the bus. Yeah, no, she's like, no, you need to go and do it. And so yeah, she was very, very instrumental in that. And my wife was as well.

Just like, just go do it. And the worst that can happen is you don't win. And I'm like, yeah, I know you say that. But like on the radio on like the internet's mean man. But no, no, no, no, no. The internet's mean as it. But you came in and you sat in the back and you look like, when I was watching, like, like, it looks like he's not really not interested in anything anybody is doing. I was interested in everything. I was always in your head. Were you in your head the whole time? Almost the whole time. Yeah. And there was a couple of folks when they were singing. I'm like, dang, dude. Yeah, they were good. I don't even know. I don't know how this is going to work out. I really don't. I really don't. And then like when you, you know, how you, like, said how, how everybody was in terms of the rankings and stuff. So you said a couple of folks. And then when you didn't say my name, I'm like, I'm like, bro, am I fourth place? What am I? Like, yeah, it was, it was kind of a fun, a fun morning for me internally. Well, you absolutely slated, man. Yeah.

I'm also very introverted. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I could definitely talk, but I'm, my, my rest in state, I rather not and just, you know, just be somewhere in the room. Are you always writing music in your head? Like, you, every day do you have an idea for a song and do you have to, or does it just come in spurt? Yeah. I would say, I wouldn't say every day, but there's a lot of times just something, again, just a line or a quick, da, da, da, da, da, da, whatever it is, melody will pop in my head. And I'll quickly try to record it and put something to it real quick that says, this is what that is and then come back to it. That's usually kind of my MO is I have to do it, put it there and then come back to it and then, and then work a little bit harder at it. So we're going to take a break. We take it, and we come back. You're going to do a song for us, right? And then you're going to be performing somewhere this weekend. So I'm supposed to be at a place called the, it was supposed to be my whole band. They weren't quite ready for that in terms of weather, but I'll be at a place called toll road brewing. Toll road brewing. Okay. Yeah.

We've had beers from there. Yeah. Beer the week. Yeah. A couple of times. That place is awesome. Good spot. Actually, there was, that was one of the stops. So one of the brew buses, like two or three or three brew buses ago. We've been, we do this brew bus thing when we take a bunch of lists or we two buses full and we go to different breweries. Actually during the break of my ask you about something. Yeah. But, but yeah. So, so you'll be doing that this weekend and then you've got a really, you're out at what's up, uh, uh, uh, uh, Luke Bryan's place. Uh, uh, uh, red, uh, red dog. Oh, oh, red. Oh, red. Oh, red. You're out there. All right. Yeah. Yeah. So I play, the band plays out there some, I play out there's a solo quite a bit. Usually once or twice a month. Uh, and I think I'm out there again in a couple two, three weeks. Uh, next week, uh, I am at, um, sorry. I'm sorry. Oh, uh, Friday. On that place, a place called the yardery and mountain doora. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Grace spot. Man, real cool spot. Um, they're actually getting ready to, I think finish up on their wildwood location

here soon. And then, uh, the next day, um, my wife and I, uh, my duo will be at, uh, Trent, uh, we'll call it crensha, and we'll be at a boxy park. So, oh, boxy, but yeah, that's where you guys were. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, uh, that's where Ryan and I made our, uh, well, I heart professional presenter debuts and we'll say I heart. We're talking about like New York. I heart. Yeah. Right. I know I heart. So you're making it open in for Bailey, Callahan, no big deal. So you're making it. No, wait, you're making a living as a musician. Yeah. So I, I, my full time job is I work for a church. Um, that's how, um, um, um, Maggie and I, um, serving the team together there, as far as music stuff is concerned. And then, uh, so that's, that's a full, full 40, 50 hour week job. And then this is kind of the part time hustle. Yes. You know, it's, it's quite a bit of my life. Well, buddy. How do you, uh, navigate, uh, or, or do you even have to navigate or, or is it even, uh, thing, you know, still doing music with the church and everything and then sometimes, you know, dealing with people who consider secular music. That's a great question. Yeah.

Uh, you know I, i'm sure I have people who aren't a huge fan of that. Right. Um, my particular church community, specifically my leadership, um, not only are they like okay with it, they're actually very cool with it. That's awesome. Because I think what it is for us is, there are so many people who won't step foot in the church, man. Right, right. They just won't, they got tons of baggage and all that stuff, right? And for me, it's like, well, let me just go out and live my life out in this world. And if you are interested, I my hope is I can talk to you a little bit about that. And if not, we'll just be cool with each other, you know? But I just, I wanna be a light and as best I possibly can out there, you know what I mean? That's awesome. All right, we're taking a little break. This is the winner of the Monster Singing Competition, Steve Cardwell and getting to know him a little bit. He's gonna do a song for us when we come back. And our special guest today is Steve and Cardwell, who is the winner of The Monster Singing Competition. Came in and crushed it and slated. And a friend with Monster mags. Monster mags is the one that talked you into coming in. We did. We'll just sit and she's wonderful. She is, man. I really appreciate Maggie in a lot of different ways, man. She's awesome lady. And if you heard her perform? Oh yeah. Yeah, I mean, she literally sang next to me like last week or something like that. Yeah, she's really good, man. She's great.

She writes great stuff and everything. So you are gonna do a song for us today. Yeah. Now, which, do you need one of these microphones, Ryan, for the guitar? It's a sad one over here. Yeah, yeah. We're right around to get y'all set up. So tell us a little bit about the song before while he's getting your set up. Yeah. So it's a classic breakup song, man, which I know a whole lot about Namjav. I've been married for almost 20 years. I had someone call me out on that. Like, what do you know about breakup? Like, I've broken up with folks and been broken up with before. Like, I understand heartache. So anyways, yeah, this is kind of that. And it's just a cool song called Best of Me. And I'm very good. There we go. Steve and Cardwell, the winner of The Monster Singing Competition. I'm over you.

That's all I tell myself. Because it's better than knowing you're with someone else. Now and I, you know I can't sleep a wing. Cause baby, you, you got the best of me. And I hope that it makes you feel your best. But as for me, I can't even get my own silk dress.

Cause the cut of losing you is your rusty. And baby, you, you got the best. You got the best of me. You got the best of me. There's no doubt. I came to know how deep I was in the moment you cast me out. And I cry and I, even in my dreams.

Cause baby, you, you got the best of me. I know I'm the blimp. I made sad too many times. And it's my shame. Knowing I put those tears in your eyes. Now I'm the one who's hurting terribly. Cause baby, you, you got the best of me. Oh, now you got the best of me.

There's no doubt. I came to know how deep I was in the moment you cast me out. And I cry and I, even in my dreams. Cause baby, you, you got the best of me. You got the best of me.

There's no doubt. Oh, and I came to know how deep I was in the moment you cast me out. And I cry and I cry and I, even in my dreams. Cause baby, you, you got the best of me. Oh, you, you got the best of me. That's about it.

I'm glad you finally came in. I'm so glad you finally came. I'm glad you finally came. I'm glad you finally came. I'm glad you finally came.

I'm glad you finally came. I'm glad you finally came. I'm glad you finally came. I'm glad you finally came. I'm glad you finally came. I'm glad you finally came.

I'm glad you finally came. I'm glad you finally came.
