Weekend Parlays

0:00Uh, welcome into this edition of the Valinout podcast on your host Jordan here with Russell P. Right, baby. How you doing? Doing pretty good. Getting ready to, you know, win a little bit more money this week. Jordan last week was pretty fruitful for me. I gotta say I finally got back on the horse last week. So maybe not with the parlays or share it over all. I got back on the horse last week. So it's always good week when you get off the snide. It wasn't much. It's about $40, but better nothing, you know what I mean? Better nothing. Uh, that's like last night I had, I had a three leg tough. Down parlay on the game last night. I had a Bucky Irvin, uh, Javante Williams and George Pickens to score. Uh, went to sleep, started the fourth quarter. I was like, no, Dallas ain't doing nothing. Uh, had two of the three and I'll be damned if I didn't wake up this morning. George Pickens scored cash that sucker out for 25 bucks and, uh, I don't want to $212. So piss me dead off start day, but you know what?

1:01That's all right. Today's a new day. And you know what they say? You got to get back on the horse that bucked you. So Russ, we're going to start right here. I'm going to let you take the floor here with your first one here. Yeah. So I mean, my first one here is it's pretty simple as you can see. I mean, I've got it. I've got a plus odd there. Of course, you know, and it's hard not to take Georgia with plus odds on the money line against Bama. It's really a call your shot kind of game. You know what I mean? You really don't know who's going to, going to come out on top. It's a one and a half point spread right now. I think it's stuck that way for the last few days for Bama. Yeah. But you know, like I said, it's, it's really just a toss up game. So you never know. George, George is the number two team in the country. I'm getting plus odds on them with the money line. Give me that. I mean, that's, that's hard to pass. Uh, in Canada, cover seven and a half. I really think Indiana struggled the last couple of weeks to get it going off. Fensively, I do think that they can get it going off. Fensively, Josh Hoover's a great player that defense is still really good.

2:03Uh, I do think they can cover seven and a half against Nebraska. Although it is on the road, it's a tough environment. I think Sid gets it done. And I think Indiana's a pretty safe bet to cover. Um, we'll move into Oklahoma here. I've got them at plus seven and a half. Now I could eat, you know, I could eat crap on this game for sure. 100% because I've been, I can see a world where Texas runs them out of the stadium. Yeah. I don't think it happens. It's always a good rivalry game most of the time. So and I do think it's, it's, it's most of the time when I watch it's close, I've seen several three point games. I've seen five point games in this rivalry hardly ever. Do you see a team doing my touchdown with these two teams? Hard to, and this year it can happen. Oklahoma looks terrible. But Texas, I don't think covers a seven and a half. I think they can cover seven and a half. I mean, that defense is just good enough to keep them in the game.

3:07And the last one, dude, it's literally a point total thing. Again, I'm betting against Notre Dame to cover a big, big amount of points here. A 39 and a half. I mean, a 40 points spread. This is not a division two team. This is Stanford. Stanford's not a good team. But I don't think they're 40 points worse than Notre Dame. Like I just think that's a safe bet. I mean, at 30, like I said, 39 and a half outrageous point total. I would never do that if I'm a Vegas odds guy. Never. I wouldn't give you that many points you couldn't bomb. So I think I think this one's a pretty safe slip plus 13 19 on the odds, four leg parlay. You're going to see the end. You're going to see the majority of this return through the next, you know, through the 330 games. After the 330 games, you've got one to hit.

4:07And it's the biggest game of the night. Everybody's probably going to be watching it. And it's Georgia to cover. So at this point, you're cheering for the best team of the two overall. You're cheering for the higher ranked team and you've got plus odds on them. So you limp through the 330 slate. You get to Georgia, brother. You might be in high caught at that point. Yeah. I like that slip. That's a good one. This is my, this is going to be my first one for the night here. We're going to run. These are all games tonight. We're going to run BYU on the money line. Washington state on the money line plus odds. I know they're not very good, but neither. Utah State. And you got to, you got to almost think Washington states got more talent in Utah state, right? I mean, dude, it's, I mean, we're talking about a pack 12 team versus what are those? That is still a mountain west team or they still a mountain west squad there in Utah state.

5:11I think this is actually a pack 12 game. Wow. Utah State's in the pack 12 now. Interesting. I mean, you're watching to say should have more talent. I mean, not for long. I think Utah state is going to out talent on being in the same conference. But yeah, right now, Washington state should have more talent. So I'm going to go with that. And plus I just like the coogs. I like coogers took one down yesterday. Iowa on the money line. I mean, at Washington now, that's, you know, that's a tough place to play, but Washington, again, they're, I don't think they're very good. Iowa, they got a bounce back this week. Got a bounce back this week. Got to move forward. This is literally my favorite thing on your entire Slyup brother. It's good to see you come around to the whole guy's way of football. You know what I'm saying? Like they're about to win you some money to not, brother. Get ready for it. I hope so. I hope so.

6:11Then give me the, give me the set. Give me four state over Louisville. Give me four state over Louisville. And for state, they're one, they're just good enough to do it. They're just good enough to do it. They got a good, they got a solid defense. Offensive. You coming along, but, you know, it's just this one right here, buddy. It's just norvels is waiting to get fired. Well, see, here's my thing. Here's my thing. I mean, that's not my least favorite pick on this. List is Florida state. And I have no idea how Florida state has better odds to beat Louisville than Washington state has worse odds to beat Utah state. What is this? Oh, where do we live at here? Like crazy to see Florida state at plus one 52. You wouldn't have fathomed this five years ago. You would have met you would have sought you would have sought Florida state at plus one 52 and you are jerking the dudes arm off there to get him to give you that bet for sure.

7:12You know, I mean, that would have been lovely. But now they're so down in the dumps, man, they're so hard to trust. I can see it talent wise. I can see it. But man, Louisville's so good. Like they proved it. We want to be there. They're good. They're good team. They beat SMU. Yeah. I mean, it's good team. Tough to see them go down there. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know, man. It's just one of those things. I kind of feel like I kind of feel like four state may be a little bit better than what we think. I'm going to give you this. You're going to keep doing this and you're eventually going to be right about it one week. It's just, you know, every week, brother, you love them. I think you're a fan. I might be just kidding. Just kidding. Just kidding. Hey, those guys. So I'm going to hit my last college football parlay.

8:12We're on this one real quick. I'll throw this one up here. This is for tomorrow. Give me Florida. Florida to cover 12 and a half. I know that game's typically played pretty close, but Florida's going to come out with their head on fire. Yeah, I flip flop this game back with their head on there. This was one. I flip flop back and forth. I really thought about taking Florida and this bread here. I love the pick. But then on the other spectrum, I was like, man, I can see Carolina not get beat by that. You know, so it was really one that I was like, put it this way. Me thinking that way, Florida definitely wins, right? But I feel like it's go ahead. It's tough. It's tough, Jordan. That's tough. That's a tough one to pick, I think. But 12 and a half, I feel like Florida's play is better than going plus 12 and a half South Carolina's way. If I'm betting South Carolina, I'm probably buying about four or five points. Yeah, and I'm going to tease it on a big on a big parlay.

9:14Like I'm not going to buy it any other way. I'm going to tease it on a big parlay. I honestly thought about going money line on the next one for Texas A&M and Missouri. But I took the points because I feel like that's going to be a close one. Let me back up to Florida real quick, though. I feel like that game's always played closely and I feel like Florida does cover it, but I feel like they get a late one to cover it. Could be wrong. Florida could run them out of the stadium. I don't know, but I don't think I am. I don't think I'm far off. Now, next one, I took Tennessee and Arkansas. I took the under in this one. I don't think Arkansas has got enough firepower to help us hit that over when we're not going to cut. And we don't have enough firepower to cover it on our own in an SEC game right now. We just don't. I mean, you know, I did the score predictions and I always give us a big amount of points. Jordan, dude, I'm okay if we score 34. I'm okay if we score 31, 28, 21.

10:14If it means that we win, I don't care. 28. Here's my thing. And you and I have talked about this. You score 28 to 35 points again. You should win that game. Period. I think that's I think that's your sweet spot right there. If it don't matter what you think I think with a gym knows defense and a gym knows coach defense led by great lineback and work and great secondary man. 28 points, 35 points. I think you're overshooting it really. I think 24 gets it done with a guy like Jim Knowles and his defense in place. Yeah, I think it depends on the I think it depends on the talent line it up across from you. Like this week 24 should probably get it done next week 24 right. Gonna do it and buddy, let me tell you I'm ready. I'm ready for that one next week. Speaking of next week, I went the other way. I went the other way on that one. How are you? To your point. I think you could put two teams. I think you could put their two names up on a dartboard. Throw it whichever team you land on, that's your pick.

11:16I think you'd be fine. I really do. I just simply went Alabama because it's in Tuscaloosa. Bear. That's a. Just see that's a fair. Well, and it just seems like man anytime. On these two teams play Georgia just forgets how to play football. I said it before. I've said it again. And I'll say it again. It's just not. I don't know. I don't know what it is. It seems like this game's never what you would say close. And then when it is close, Bama always figures out a way to win. It's like every five years. We're going to come up and blow them out or win the game. Sure. But it's just not I don't know. I don't know. I I do think that's going to be the best game on tomorrow. Yeah. I mean, I think it's a testament to both of us putting it on our parlay list, too, Jordan, that we both think it's probably the best game in the slate tomorrow. Me and you are not accustomed to to baton, Georgia and Bama were not those people. Look, I love money as much as the next guy,

12:17not willing to bet on teams that I really don't care for. I don't bet on a lot of SEC teams. I try to avoid it. You know, unless the game just makes sense to bet on, I try to avoid that. This one's so hard to pass up, man, because it is literally such a toss up. You can. And it's hard to pass up. It's hard to pass up. Georgia and plus money. Yeah, too. But last but not least on my slip, I got LSU to cover eight and a half of the, I just think I think lame goes up there and just puts one on them. I don't know. It's Kentucky. I'm still not bought into Kentucky. If they, if they find a way to get this one done this week, I'll buy in on them. Straight up right now, I will say it on here. I will buy him on them. But till then, I can't. I tell you what I tell you who I am bought into with Kentucky, Jordan. We talked about him before. I'm bought into Will Stein. I'm not bought into Kentucky. Yeah, but I'm bought into Will Stein.

13:18And I do think that we've got a real bright future in coaching outside of this program. Sure, sure. That one, but there's my slip for the week. Tim Bucks will win you two 2020. And I. Okay, if you're on, if you're on Fandall, you get a 50% profit boost. So you do the math on that. That'll be a nice little payday right there. Um, for us, I'm going to turn it over to you, right here. Okay. On this one. All right. So we're moving into NFL Sunday. Um, you know, man, you love doing NFL, I love doing NFL parlay's more than college football. I'm not a big college football parlay guys much as I am NFL. I love, I love Sundays a little bit more than I love Saturdays. I just love the balls more than any other team. Um, I will say this, man, this, this slip was a little tough to come up with this week for me. There's a lot of tough games on the slip.

14:18I had to go plus money with two of them, you know, and I feel good about my first one, which is Green Bay. I got Green Bay at home in plus money. Lambo field, it's always a close game with the bears. The bears don't have start and quarterback Caleb Williams. The Green Bay Packers come in. Dude, they don't look great. This is their get right game. I do think the Packers handle business on the money line, give me the Packers for an outright win. Then we're going to move in to New Orleans. And again, another team at home in plus money here. And I know home home field advantage is not everything. It's cracked up to be in the NFL. But that New Orleans Saints crowd yet wild. Minnesota punts the ball more than any team in the NFL and New Orleans passes the ball more than any team in the NFL. That is a disaster fueled day for the Vockins. Give me the Saints, man, on the money line. I think they cover for me.

15:21And I give me the Eagles to cover. The Eagles have looked terrible. Had a lot of injuries. They're missing Saquon this week. They're playing a good Jacksonville team. Nick Ciri, he still exists. He's still a guy. Give me the Eagles to cover seven and a half. That's too good of a team to have it seven and a half points down. I don't care. We're talking about a team who goes the NFC championship almost every year. Then my last one is the Detroit Lions to cover five and a half. We just saw the Cardinals get beat last week, 36 to 24. The team that beat them was, um, it doesn't matter. That's who it is. Here's why the Detroit Lions are better than them. You know, they got Jameer Gibbs, who's playing out of his mind. That dude, every time he touches the ball, he scores. I think he touched the ball like 15 times or 15 touchdowns.

16:21That's all he's done all year and a big bunch of fantasy points. Um, Detroit has not been great. They've not won every game. They're better than Arizona. Yeah. Defense is terrible. They'll boat race this team. It's going to be a touchdown difference. Give me Dan Campbell in the lines to cover that. Okay. All right. I like it. I like it. I'm going to go, uh, I'm going a different direction with mine. I went, I went play her props. I like the, uh, anytime touchdown scores. Yeah. Um, I went, give me Jamar Chase, Chase Brown in the first one. Uh, give me the Andre Swift Christian Watson Parker Washington, Nico Collins, Seth. Looks like you're trying to be as simple as I could with it. Um, plus nine, four, seven, two on that one. So 10 bucks will win you a good chunk of change. And you can use that little bit, that little 5% profit boost down there. So well, let's run this one.

17:22Let's run this one down to Jordan. I mean, we're talking about Jamar chase and chase brown against one of the worst defenses and one of the worst teams in the NFL and the Miami Dolphins. I think that's almost a given, especially if Joe sees Chase anywhere down field. That's a touchdown. And then chase brown is going to get his eventually in that game. I do think that that's a safe. You move down to the Packers game Christian Watson, as much as they throw the ball, he's bound to get a touchdown lead receiver. Yeah. Guy who's been getting targeted a whole lot by Jordan, love Jordan, love seems to love throwing the ball to Christian Watson. Love that one. The Andre Swift last week had a really tough game. Fumbled the ball got benched. I do think the Andre Swift gets right this week. He's back in RB one form. That's a good pick right there. Cause that game's always close. Bears run the ball Packers pass the ball to safe one. Philly and Jacksonville love Parker Washington.

18:23This one might be my least favorite on the whole board. And it's your best. I don't know. I don't understand Parker Washington eats up yards, eats up receptions. Not a big touchdown guy. If they're thinking that he's going to go over the top on Quinnian Mitchell. Man, that's tough. That's a tough ask for a guy like Parker Washington in the lead corner like Quinnian Mitchell played in Philly. That's a good pick if it goes your way. But I don't know. I love the last one. Tennessee Titans don't know how to defend anything. I can't even get a lot of things out of that. I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm going to say, say flowers. Uh, I could go down a list of receivers. It's had field days against us this year so far. I'm not going to because I'm a Titans fan. I don't want to get sad. Um, giving Nico Collins there any day of the week though. I think that's a, that's the safest bet on this list is Nico Collins getting in the city. I like it. I like it. Well, hopefully we make somebody some money this week, including ourselves.
