Welcome to his like your path with Pastor Rod Holler's senior. Today's devotional is
titled, What So Ever Ye Do. Sometimes it feels like our routines are just busy work,
but in this devotional, Pastor Holler will show us that even the most ordinary moments
are part of God's plan. And now here's Pastor Holler's devotional, What So Ever Ye Do.
Pastor Holler's, chapter 3, verses 23 and 24. And What So Ever Ye Do. Do it heartily as
to the Lord. And not under men. Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward
of the inheritance, for ye serve the Lord Christ.
Much of the believer's life is established by God without the believer's consent. No one
was asked if he wanted to be brought into this world. Neither was anyone consulted concerning
the circumstances that he would live in. God designed these by his will. He has a grand
plan for this world, and every person has a part in that plan. Therefore, every believer
has purpose. Even the unsaved have purpose in life, but they will not realize it until
they're saved. They may have a purpose of their own choosing by their desires, but
God has purpose that extends beyond this world. Much of life is in the common activities of
life. People live, interacting with each other and buying and selling, food is secured,
prepared and eaten, clothes are washed, dried, and they wear out, and need replaced. Every
day we do many of the same things. God knows this, and therein he leads people according
to his will. Believers may not feel they're dead doing much in life, for God. There are
many common people in the Scriptures. They tended to their daily tasks, and many lived
and died unknown to much of the world. But God knows, and that is what matters. Note
the seriousness of the believers' daily routines. They are not to be taken lightly. Again,
Washington's three, twenty-three, and twenty-four. And whatsoever you do, do it heartily,
as to the Lord, and not unto men. Knowing that of the Lord you shall receive their reward
of the inheritance, or you serve the Lord Christ. Whatsoever is all-inclusive, it means
everything. Everything that the believer does is to be done unto the Lord. These are
not to just be done, but done heartily as unto the Lord. Common lives with mundane routines
are important to God. He gave us a life wherein these daily tasks need to be done. Those
tasks are to be done unto the Lord. Serving God is accomplished by diligence in daily
things. Consider, does the mother feel exceedingly important in life by cleaning up after kids?
Does she feel important in washing and drying clothes, or gross reshopping, or preparing
meals, or by rocking a little one to sleep, or tending to a sick one? And her husband has
duties that need his attention every day. These common tasks are important to God. The Bible
tells of common people who lived and died with no special distinctions. The genealogies
tell of people that are known only unto God, but every person is created in the image of
God, and they are in, they are special. So God created man in his own image. In the image
of God created he, him, male and female, created he, them, Genesis 1, 27. And God rewards
common people for doing these common tasks. Note, again, Colossians 3, 23 and 24, and
whatsoever you do, do it heartily as to the Lord and not under men. Knowing that of the
Lord you shall receive their reward of the inheritance, where you serve the Lord Christ.
Let us not grow weary in the mundane tasks of life. For therein is God pleased when it
is done heartily unto him. That brings us to the clothes of Pastor
Holler's devotional whatsoever you do. Today we were reminded that no part of our
life is too small for God to notice. Washing dishes, folding laundry, running errands,
these tasks aren't just chores, their opportunities to serve Christ. For past devotionals from Pastor
