Which one of Zac Jackson's three Watson takes do you agree with most?

And he had a trio of damning Dishon Watson takes. Is there one you want to go with first? Because I do think we could ask, we could ask three different people. Which one of these is the most damning? And I think they might, they might all have a different answer. Jackson03 is what I'd like to start with. All right. So this is Zach Jackson on Dishon Watson and how we can challenge or not challenge NFL defenses. We did kind of catch win towards the end of the available practices for media

1:01that the RPO stuff was a little more of an emphasis. You weren't going to really do that with. It's comical because he's not even fasting where he doesn't have one skill that challenges NFL defense. But yeah, you're right. That's probably what they're going to do. And really tied hinted throughout the whole spring that experience and mobility had given bots in the edge. He he outright said that a couple of times. He danced around it a few other times. So we probably aren't going to see that. But that to me is just comical. All right. If I was making a case that Dishon Watson still has something left in the tank to to surprise people to, you know, get a surprise win over Jacksonville or play better than people think. The only case he might have is mobility. But the problem is I've watched Dishon look a touch slow. Each of the last three years. So I tend to agree with Zach, but like, yeah, it does seem like the Browns are banking on the mobility part, which makes me wonder what are they seeing that I'm not seeing and that I haven't seen for four years.

2:01And that's the big question. Why do they think mobility is going to be the answer for a guy that has only had surgeries and only had problems with his knees and his legs and trying to operate. And so, like, it's kind of embarrassing that that's the response and the answer. It's like he won because of experience and mobility. And the mobility factor of it really isn't even a strength at this point. So that is one damning claim. The next one was when Zach talked about the ceiling of the Browns offense with Dishonet quarterback. Let's see how it goes. I think there's a real ceiling on it. And then you wonder how he mentally reacts to the very first thing that goes wrong. And so I expect the game plan that keeps him out of harm's way as much as possible for as long as possible. But how does he react and how does the team react to the first thing that goes wrong? I mean, they're nine point underdogs this week and six and a half point underdogs next week. But NFL standards, that's pretty strong. They're not expected to perform well. And if they don't, we know what could be coming. We don't know how it's going to go. But we haven't seen any of this. And goofy things happen in early in NFL seasons.

3:03We saw that just last year. We see that every year, right? So I'm a little bit open-minded and not making firm predictions. But I just, there's nothing that I've seen for the last six weeks or for four years. It tells me that this has any hope. So what I think is interesting about this is I'm open-minded that these skilled players, the Casey Concepcions, the Boston's, the Judis, the Fanon Juniors, the Quinchon-Jotkins, the Samson. I'm open-minded that those guys can make plays that that might be able with a great defensive performance to catapult you to victory. But the overall idea is the one of the more confounding ideas about D'Acheon is, I do look at it as a low ceiling offense. I don't necessarily. And I think the Browns look at it as a higher floor, which I disagree with. And I think if I'm going with a high floor, sorry, a high ceiling low floor or a low floor low ceiling, I just, I really struggle with the idea that you would choose that last one we just

4:05talked about. You should always go for the highest ceiling possible in this equation. Especially as a both combustible. Well, yeah, exactly. But I think the interesting part about what Zach was talking about with D'Acheon, and then just kind of a, if you pull it back a little bit, it's just kind of fascinating to think about that he has to have this hot hand, so to speak. Right? Baker had this. Baker always had, Baker had stretches in games where it'd be like nine in a row, ten in a row, 11 in a row, passes completed. And I hadn't really thought about D'Acheon even though he should have, maybe, because of the Bears game. And how that first preseason game went where it felt like he was doing well, he was completing passes and he got on rhythm. And then the first time it went wrong and went sideways, I'm telling you, do you game a whole game that first preseason game? That second half would have been a disastrous. That's why they didn't. It was starting to spiral. It really was. And they got him out there just in enough time for people to be like, that was a good performance. That was fine. And nobody's going to bring up any of the awkward exchanges or the weird, almost fumble or factual fumble where he just took it back and just lost control of it. Yeah, you and I, by the way, you and I got crap for saying that was fine

5:07because we didn't just say, oh my god, D'Acheon is back. Right? I know. I know. And part of the reason why is because you saw at the end, again, if you gave him that whole game, he was going to melt down. There was no other way of looking at it. And so I think what happened in the second game, Nick, is I think it just started off rough and it just kept going and kept staying rough. And when he puts himself into a hole, it seems like it's impossible for himself to bury his way out of it. And so I think I think Zach touches on something that I think should be should be prevalent. Like if he starts off with the hot hand, can he keep that going? Is that what he needs? And if he starts to struggle, is he just going to continue to struggle? All right. Now here's the third damning take of Zach Jackson talking about the potential lease and over under for how much we're going to see D'Acheon Watson. I put the over under at 10 and a half quarters. So now if he makes it to the over, then he probably makes it through the first month because it'd be hard on that short week. But I just don't know what anybody sees in this. And I don't know anybody outside the building that sees what they see.

6:10I mean, we've seen this guy play. We know what it looks like. You hear the coach say body of work and we know his body of work. So how two years later could it be any better? This one actually might be the most damning. And remember, the first one was he doesn't have one skill that challenges NFL defenses. That is a dagger through the heart of the D'Acheon you got to believe thing. It's unrecoverable. The last one is I will see that was like the best defense of the offense with D'Acheon. But when you say I set the over under at 10 and a half quarters and nobody outside of the walls of the organization see what they see in this guy. I don't know you recover from that level of damning when we talk about this. That to me was the most damning thing we heard. Yeah, I mean, I just, I think Zach's words carry a little bit more weight because he's there every single day. And him speaking the way that he speaks, I can't tell you how loud people need to be, or how often people need to be paying attention to this stuff. But we've, this is nothing new for us though. We've been talking about this for how long and the only, the only answer he's got back

7:13or the only clap back he's got back is he's got to show us in week one that we're all idiots. And we don't know what we're talking about. Well, and I think conversely, this is why the Browns, if it gets really ugly on Sunday, you can't hesitate. If Todd Munkin wants to set the winning tone and in D'Acheon wants and looks like a broken toy, all right, I'll listen to the idea. I'll keep an open mind. He might be able to run the offense at a proficient level, which he should be able to do 10 years in the NFL. But if the guy who showed up in that Buffalo game shows up against Jacksonville, you cannot put him out there for a full game. And again, I'm saying the most extreme version of this. I'm not saying that's the most likely thing to happen, although I do think D'Acheon is going to look more broken than fixed on Sunday. But if he looks unplayable, you owe it to yourself, you owe it to that locker room, to have the quickest hook ever because between one half a football and certainly what we saw from D'Acheon about three Saturdays ago, you've heard the truth.

8:16You can only hear the truth so many times and not listen. Well, that's what the Browns, that's that was Trump. But that's where the Browns always test that theory. The Browns continually test that idea right there that you brought up. Like you can only hear it so many times or see it so many times. And the Browns always go with the answer. Well, I don't know that Houston, D'Acheon might it might creep around the corner. I do think they're going to answer themselves. Did we find out about Houston, D'Acheon, if we can if Munkin can do something that's to Fanski couldn't you think they're going to do that in a half a football? They're not going to do that in a half a football. If he looks as bad as he did against Buffalo. Yes, if it's your I, yes, for them, no, no, no chance for them. Then I don't think it's equal. They don't have a good, that's what we're dealing with. Todd Munkin can't run from the truth. That guy that guy's far too on. Todd Munkin will not be able to convince himself that in a half a football, even if he throws four interceptions and looks like he can't even throw the football forward. It looks like Nathan Peterman. I bet you he can see the truth right. I think the front office and I also think Todd Munkin, that's the hard reality in all this is they haven't been able to see the truth. They're not going to have like an eyes wide open awakening to D'Acheon Watson in that moment

9:20in that half of the game. They're going to they're going to at least give themselves the full game. And I'd be shocked if it wasn't anything more than that. I mean, it's just it's it's it's how this works. I was thinking eyes wide shuttows. Like that's a very suggestive reference for Wednesday at 555, even if it is a home day.
