3:08I'm not even I'm not even doing a bit We had said it at 72 and the repair the repair guy was here today, right? So I think on patreon We'll probably get into a little bit more of kind of the details of my last few days like the tail end of this But basically we came back in order to meet the repair man and my wife came back before me and let him in and let me know that he had Started and then I took off and headed home while he was working on it When I got home it was about a little after lunch time and The word that I got was it'll probably be about 30 more minutes And we had one of the little mobile free standing units We've talked about before you know four and a half feet high or whatever plugs into a hole in your window And and that thing you know It does a job for the room that it's in so it was comfortable in that room and we just kind of sat there and about 45 minutes later Something like that the guy knocked on the door and my wife had stood up and was doing something else So I opened it I'd never seen this man before because he'd been the backyard the whole time I'd been home And he said nice to meet you and I said thanks

4:10And he said would you turn on the air conditioner and make sure that you put it really low so we can check if it's working I was like absolutely and I turned that bitch to 72 Because my house was at the time at 80 and Said ah and it turned on and this guy came in was like all right. Let me let me he had like a It looked like an optical camera, but it was like a sensor that was like bendy that he like shoved into the one of the air conditioning vents and it attached Magnetically and then he did the same thing at the register Which is where your house sucks in the air the hot air and then about 15 minutes later He was like yeah, I just want to make sure we would hold the charge But look and you showed me a thing on his phone that there's like a 20 degree difference in what my Thing is sucking in versus what it's blowing out. He was like you're gonna be good You're gonna be good like two or three hours. So a big question. Yeah question to the home warranty Take care of it. Yeah There you go. 5:10Absolutely, right. I'm not sure if it was necessarily that much Dawson, but it saved us a shit Let's say it's save this thousands of dollars at the between seven and ten. 12:42There's my weekend, but I spent the last two days watching non-stop baseball all while I was editing so while I do know that you are a lion's fan you are most Associated in the Corollaverse with being a fan of a different team. Did you happen to watch that team play football this weekend? Yeah That game was on regular TV and I have NFL Sunday ticket so I did not watch it actually I think I caught the end of it I think I might have caught the end of it and the chargers did badly Yeah, they did it was uh, yeah, it was a pretty quiet afternoon. I thought about you. Yeah, I did think about it I was sitting there right I'm so glad. I don't I don't care about the chargers anymore Yeah, while I was sitting right there next to my father who does for the entire game like I sat down next to him I think there was 13 minutes on the clock in the first quarter So I had been out running an errand with my wife and my son and I came back basically a kickoff And we sat there pretty well silent for about three hours It was tough

13:43It was hard to watch because on top of the fact that we lost They were also just beating the living shit out of our quarterback and there was nothing anyone on the chargers could do to stop it Just like every every two plays The whole team is who forgot to play football We got how to play football this weekend Yeah, well, and in the case of the chargers last four weekend, so that that's encouraging but That's an oh that's right. That's an oh and four start. We had us it is it's uh There's another team that has an oh and four who is it? Miami and then depending on how the game that's going on right now The Bucket nears also have an oh and four start and they maybe headed towards an oh and five start because I would say that the Cowboys are probably favorites in that game. They're playing their backup quarterback So anyways, we don't have to talk football all night. It's just it was a bummer to watch that game Just sitting silently like next to my dad because we were both so bummed out as fans about the fact that this Sunday for me It was a very passive football Sunday. Yeah, I had a fuckload of work to do So I just put on the the multi-screen view for everything

14:48I don't know all the TVs throughout the house and then I sat in the studio and fucking worked Yeah, for sure Matt what did you get up to this weekend? Do you do anything fun? We have a dog park date or Oh, let's see. Yeah, there's you know, it was actually kind of a rainy weekend out here So not too much dog park in but quite a bit of Halloween decorating Okay, how far into the full swing out here How far into the process of decorating would you say we are like how many like what percentage of the Akutra mall is still not displayed At this point the interior of our house is done Including our Halloween miniature village that we have on display I just say selfish that you are completing the interior before the exterior so they always Hold on if you have a miniature village. Yeah, we have the psycho house We You know, we don't have the specific Psycho house, but I do have a little miniature house that has a creepy old lady and a rocking chair kind of sitting outside of it

15:54So, you know, it's a no-modge to it We get a lot of these things from Michaels art supply store they have this brand. It's called Leamax and they have these like diorama scenes I do it for Halloween and for Christmas So we have multiple pieces that are like these large format like one is a like a bat roller coaster ride One of them is like a day to Cemetery basically. Yeah, yeah, we basically have an entire village that we have an entire village of it And I used to use these they're called fairy lights and just these little thin wire cable lights that I would string all over the top of the village The kind of give it a kind of like a carnival atmosphere and This year while lighting it we got distracted at a conversation and one of the spinning pieces Caught hold of one of the drooping light fixture. So suddenly this entire string of lights getting sucked into this bucket decoration

16:55That I think it's really sucked in there. I will not be able to fix it like it will never come out The trees are falling over I have this moment that is straight out of speed to be totally honest where there are two light switches like a Light strips and I don't know which one is it the one? Which one is it now if you hit the wrong one you should have just turned them both off It's a it's a huge table Dawson I have a split second to pick a table side and get to it lap that thing off before This light fixture gets sucked into this mechanical object. Maybe it would explode. I don't know I picked correctly. No, I picked correctly. I did thank God. I don't know what happened, but the gods of Halloween The demons of Halloween if you will any commentary Um You still have your voice box. No, we're good. No, I don't I that was that's why set up on my mobile unit Sorry, anyway, I did have to take cables and I had to clip the overhead lights

18:00It was the only way to then run the spinning piece all the way through and then pull the the loose cable back out so Long way of saying the village is not 100% done, but it's mostly done and then I still have to do the outside of the house So I'm gonna say like 80% done. I got to put lights on the outside of the house lights in the tree There's like three or four Like scenes lights do you have in the house if you're 80% done and you haven't done outside Dude they go they go fucking hard Dawson the entire let's rethink that That's a great creating 80% is done and it's all inside yeah Okay, yep Is it okay? Is it okay Dawson? Is it okay? I don't know why that does check out. I mean you check out Halloween I think that The outdoor decorations are probably more important than the indoor decorations I would just think that the ratio between outdoor to indoor Halloween decorations

19:05And I mean maybe we can put her to a poll to the people yeah, no telling you know I'm gonna say that 90% of the people who love Halloween 90% of their decorations are on the outside you're 100% done and you haven't even started there That is correct. There is substantially more stuff on the inside of our house than the outside of the house and I I don't know why it it worked out that way But part of it is because we just love being surrounded by it watching scary movies I love the glow of the lights inside of the house um But I agree it should be more geared toward the outside. I think part of it too is uh weather Outdoor stuff gets fucked up You spend a lot of money on it and it will be fucked up in two years and you want to enjoy it So I get it. It's like Christmas. I get yeah And are you still planning to throw the Halloween party that you were talking about? We're gonna do that this year

20:05We actually will be able to share it with other people. Is there any concern as to limiting the number of invitees Because so much of your square footage I would imagine the footprint has shrunk as a result of for instance this village is probably taking up You know all of a big table or something like that, right? You know, it's the Feng Shui is uh is still In effect, you know, you could still make your way through the house I must ask does that mean the bonsai tree is still alive The bonsai tree is still alive is barely hanging on and bonsai and bonsai the animal also still alive Doing very well thriving thriving. Okay. Yes. Absolutely. How do they feel about the spooky season? Do they like on having all the bullshit up around their house? bonsai the plants has no opinion on it, but bonsai the dog Yes is Fascinated by every object that we put out we have this uh this cat in a kind of a tense position. 21:07We had to like put it up to him and like put it in front of him and he was not having any of it He did eventually get over it, but yeah, there's you know all kinds of shit He's sniffing it out, but that's part of being a dog man. Yeah, for sure. No, absolutely. I uh I spent my weekend with uh two dogs living in the same home who were used to both just living In one dog households and uh that was really fun. I've been trying to to pitch resident evil Uh Just because I really like that filmmaker a lot. So I'm totally down to see that There's a new horror out with Jessica Chastain. 27:25I am not going to see adult dramas in theaters generally these days That's just kind of like a rental for me as opposed to something like a horror movie that you know or like the Odyssey Like some of the kind of demands to be seen and like communal experiences. I honestly I've heard it's it's I I've heard it's I too I've seen some you know some tech reviewers like it more than the general movie reviewer community It's it would seem but I honestly don't think I'll find my way to a theater either I would like to but it's just you know you finding my way to a theater is a very difficult, you know Thing to navigate and I just don't know if that movie is gonna really warrant three hours Think about that movie for me was I've watched Succession I don't know maybe like three times through all the way. Well, we're listening to Spotify We try to guess what instruments but it says interments, but I think he means instruments each member of a band plays just from their picture I listen to a lot of bands that I have no idea anything about other than that. I like their songs It's a fun way to learn more about very small bands from all over the world A ton of bands I listen to have less than 500 monthly listeners, but they are pretty all right Sounds like kind of a fun game. I'm sorry. Go back a little bit because I don't understand the game Presumably when you're listening to a song on Spotify They there may be pictures at the bottom of the band members, right? So like for Blink 182 You'd have a picture of Mark, Tom and Travis, right? So what this guy is saying is he listens like obscure bands and then he goes down He looks at the pictures and based on off knowing nothing But what they look like he tries to pick that guy's a drummer that guy's a guitarist that guy's a singer That guy's playing the trombone, you know, whatever It seems like a fun game to me.
